At 10:00 AM, a ceremony will take place in the Senate for the handover of archival materials from Prof. Andrzej Wielowieyski, Senator of the Civic Parliamentary Club and Member of the Freedom Union, a friend and collaborator of former Prime Minister Tadeusz Mazowiecki, to the National Archives.

- I am convinced that today, the actions taken by the authorities, related to the unfounded seizure of PiS funds, may indicate that if the election results are not to the authorities' liking, then Ryszard Kalisz himself is talking about various possible solutions. Today, the authorities will do everything to prevent Karol Nawrocki from winning these elections – stated Paweł Szefernaker on the program “Gość Wydarzeń” on Polsat News.

- And Karol Nawrocki will be close to the people, he will be close to people’s issues, he will be a candidate for president for ordinary Poles. A very important declaration, they won’t break us, they won’t break us with such decisions – he added.

In a situation where one needs to know how to govern, PO, the entire coalition on December 13th, retreated from solutions we had been implementing for years, for example, zero VAT on food; they raised VAT on food, they abolished the shields. The entire system we created to curb inflation has today been abolished, and this idea is solely and exclusively firefighting; it is not governing, it is firefighting – said Paweł Szefernaker on Polsat News.

- There is no provision in the law that would allow the National Election Commission (PKW) not to accept Supreme Court decisions. Previously, the National Election Commission recognized this chamber; in other cases, quite recently, reports for other parties were accepted, but ours was not. This is an unlawful decision because there is no provision in the law that states one can choose whether or not to recognize a given chamber. This is a decision without legal basis – stated Paweł Szefernaker on Polsat News.

- The judges who are currently in the PKW voted to grant these funds to PiS, meaning the most substantive individuals. The government majority, by a political decision, has deprived the largest opposition party, which supports a civic candidate, of these funds, and today the upcoming presidential elections will not be fair elections – he continued.

- Of course [Nawrocki will take a leave of absence]. We demand and expect other contenders to behave similarly. He clearly stated that once the election campaign formally begins, he will take a leave of absence for its duration. Our opponents have suddenly withdrawn and are now unsure whether they can, cannot, or should take a leave of absence during the campaign, just like Dr. Karol Nawrocki – stated Paweł Szefernaker on Polsat News.

- Certainly, this campaign will be very active in the coming weeks and months. We will visit every county in Poland, we will be close to the people. We will write the program together with the people, with Poles who have a lot of problems today, because of high prices, because the government has deceived people, promising much when they came to power, and delivering nothing – Paweł Szefernaker said on Polsat News.

- Certainly, we will listen to the advice of all those who will help in the campaign, although the staff that is currently taking shape is largely based on young people: Adam Andruszkiewicz, Przemysław Czarnek, Anna Gembicka, Marcin Przydacz, Zbigniew Bogucki – he added.

- This is of course untrue, I'll say it like this. The first lawsuit against PO MPs was already filed last week. We will analyze all the words of PO MPs who brazenly lie about PiS, about Dr. Karol Nawrocki as a civic candidate, supported by PiS. If these are lies that warrant lawsuits, we will also sue in those cases – said Paweł Szefernaker in Polsat News.

- This is not a matter of discretion, it is a matter of operating based on the law and strictly within its confines. The Minister of Finance implements the resolutions of the National Election Commission (PKW), and here the situation is absolutely clear. The PKW resolution of August 29 indicates the amounts of subsidies that individual committees should receive. We will disburse payments to all electoral committees, to all parties, in accordance with the PKW's decisions - stated Andrzej Domański on TVP Info.

- In the case of PiS, according to the PKW's decision, we will disburse a small portion of the funds that falls due for 2024 - he added.

- We are not raising taxes, we are not working on tax increases. Here, Prime Minister Tusk is of course right - stated Andrzej Domański on TVP Info.

At Wednesday's government meeting – rescheduled due to the Prime Minister's visit to Ukraine – ministers will address a draft resolution regarding "counteracting the negative effects of the constitutional crisis in the judiciary," submitted by the Minister of Justice.



This is the first item on the agenda – it was added to the government's work plan today. Previously, the first item was a draft amendment to certain laws aimed at eliminating irregularities in the visa system of the Republic of Poland.
