Tuesday's Political Agenda: Government on Polish Presidency and CBA Abolition, Nawrocki in Siedlce, PiS MPs' Conference

Around 9:15 AM, a briefing by PiS chairman Jarosław Kaczyński will take place in Warsaw.

The government session will commence at 12:00 PM. The agenda includes, among other items, the program for Poland's presidency of the Council of the EU, as well as a draft law concerning the coordination of anti-corruption actions and the abolition of the Central Anticorruption Bureau (CBA).

At 12:00 PM, a press conference will be held in Warsaw by PiS MPs Zbigniew Kuźmiuk, Marcin Horała, Michał Moskal, Olga Semeniuk-Patkowska, Radosław Fogiel, and Łukasz Kmita.

At 2:15 PM, a press conference will be held at the Chancellery of the Prime Minister (KPRM) with the participation of the Minister for European Union Affairs, Adam Szłapka, Secretary of State at KPRM, Ignacy Niemczycki, and Undersecretary of State at KPRM, Magdalena Sobkowiak-Czarnecka.

At 6:00 PM, the PiS-backed presidential candidate Karol Nawrocki will meet with the residents of Siedlce.

07:42

Paprocka on the New Constitutional Tribunal President:

A Truly Big Challenge.

- There were no grim faces. The President was smiling, we were smiling, but it's not about smiles, it's about a new hand being dealt at the Constitutional Tribunal, a new president, and given the very difficult situation surrounding the Tribunal, both budget-wise and in terms of the general atmosphere, various ideas for radical changes, already strongly criticized by the Venice Commission, show that the new president faces a truly big challenge - stated Małgorzata Paprocka in "Rozmowa Piaseckiego" on TVN24.

07:46

Sawicki on Hołownia:

I Hope the Supreme Council of PSL Will Express Support for This Candidacy.
- I already said this in November, that yes, I will collect signatures, I will support Szymon Hołownia, I was just waiting for his clear declaration [about his plans to run in the elections], because it wasn't there for a long time - Marek Sawicki said in an interview with Karol Surówka in "Sygnały Dnia" on PR1. - The Polish People's Party has its statutory bodies and its statute, which must make certain decisions, so on the 14th [of December] there is the Supreme Council, I hope that the Supreme Council will express support for this candidacy - he continued.

07:55

Sawicki:

Surprises Could Occur. Many Voices from the Grassroots Are Demanding a PSL Presidential Candidate
- In the Polish People's Party [...] various surprises could occur. It is a very democratic party. There are indeed many voices from the grassroots that are demanding a Polish People's Party candidate in these presidential elections - Marek Sawicki said on PR1. - There is also our common commitment from before the 2023 parliamentary elections, where we said that we are forming an agreement, a coalition within the Third Way with Polska 2050 for parliamentary elections, local elections, European Parliament elections, and presidential elections - he continued. "We are trying to explain to PSL members and supporters that Hołownia has a chance for the second round" - It seems that this project should be continued, and we are also trying to explain to all these members, all these supporters of ours, who actively participate in the political life of the Polish People's Party, that this is the right approach and that Szymon Hołownia indeed has a chance in the current political situation to reach the second round - he went on to say.

07:56

Paprocka on Święczkowski:

He's Not the First Former MP to Sit on the Constitutional Tribunal.

- The fact that each of us has some background, and he is neither the first, perhaps not the last, former MP to have sat on the Constitutional Tribunal, we have truly, looking back over many years, had various people on the Tribunal with clear views - stated Małgorzata Paprocka in "Rozmowa Piaseckiego" on TVN24.

07:59

Sawicki:

We Have a Political Duopoly That Is Unfortunately Strengthening
- The profound truth is that since 2005, we have had a political duopoly which, instead of weakening, is unfortunately strengthening. To the detriment of Poland and Poles, because often within this duopoly, the quarrel is for the sake of quarreling, sometimes they already forget what they are arguing about, but it is important, so to speak, that the pace of this dispute, the mutual aggression, should increase rather than decrease - said Marek Sawicki in PR1.

08:02

Sawicki:

No Reason for Civic Coalition to Expect Support for Trzaskowski Over Hołownia
- Szymon Hołownia has no obligation today to participate in the Civic Coalition's campaign. He is conducting his presidential campaign [...] there is no reason for the Civic Coalition to expect us to support Rafał Trzaskowski and the Civic Coalition in the first round of the elections, rather than Szymon Hołownia - Marek Sawicki stated on PR1.

08:05

Sawicki on Tusk's Involvement in Trzaskowski's Pre-Campaign:

It's Clear Who's the Boss.
- At this moment, everything indicates that Donald Tusk has clearly taken the lead and is heading this campaign. He participates in all of Rafał Trzaskowski's gatherings, speaks either as an introducer or as a reinforcing voice. It's clear who is the boss within this coalition, within this political camp – Marek Sawicki said on PR1.

08:07

Kosiniak-Kamysz on Trump’s NATO Remarks:

They Have an Important Goal.

- They [Donald Trump's words] have an important goal; they are meant to mobilize those who are not fulfilling the commitments we agreed upon in NATO. The minimum of 2%. It must be clearly stated to all countries that 2% is the entry fee to sit at the table with the Trump administration - stated Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz in a conversation with Bogdan Rymanowski on Radio Zet.

08:13

Sawicki Responds to Tusk on Holding PiS Accountable:

Instead of writing on X, he should summon the Minister of Justice and ask why it's going so slowly.
- Here, I 100% agree with Donald Tusk. [...] Instead of writing on X, instead of holding press conferences and making appeals, he should summon the Minister of Justice, the head of the prosecution service, and ask why it's going so slowly - said Marek Sawicki in an interview with PR1, when asked about Prime Minister Donald Tusk's post stating that holding PiS accountable is progressing slower because not everyone in the coalition has understood that without accountability, there will be no repair of the Republic of Poland. - For God's sake, are we politicians on the street supposed to hold Law and Justice accountable? Chase after them? Point fingers? That's not what accountability is about. In a state of law, that's what the prosecution service and courts are for - he continued.

08:13

Kosiniak-Kamysz on Macron's visit:

I'm not sure if it will happen 100%.

- I don't know if this visit [President Macron's to Poland] will happen 100%. It was planned, but due to the situation in France, the fact that the government has fallen, the president is trying to form a new cabinet - stated Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz on Radio Zet.

08:19

Sawicki:

The Worst Outcome Would Be if Indictments Against PiS Politicians Are Rejected by Courts of First Instance. This Would Be Ridiculous for the Coalition
- We should have concrete indictments and at least the first court rulings. But I'm not a lawyer. Perhaps the matters that PiS politicians have on their conscience are indeed so complicated that the prosecution needs to work on them longer - Marek Sawicki said in PR1. - I want one thing: for the 5, 6, 10 indictments prepared by the prosecution to truly stand up in court. Then we will have a factual, real reckoning. Because the worst thing will be if these indictments reach the court and the courts reject them already in the first instance. Then it will truly be ridiculous for us today, for our ruling coalition - he continued.

08:21

Kosiniak-Kamysz:

Tusk Unnecessarily Attacks Hołownia

- I think [Donald Tusk is unnecessarily attacking Szymon Hołownia]. [Hołownia] will win. I don't regret [not running myself] - stated Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz on Radio Zet.

08:33

Kosiniak-Kamysz on Polish Soldiers Entering Ukraine:

It's Not an Option.

- It's not an option [for Polish soldiers to enter Ukraine]. Something that is sometimes described on the internet, that there would be individual zones of security responsibility, as there were in Iraq, is not an option. Something like that is not an option. Of course, a discussion for the entire NATO [as in shooting down missiles] is an option - stated Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz on Radio Zet.

08:39

PO Took a Beating Over the Weekend. We Joked They'd Have to Arrest Some PiS Member After Something Like That. Fogiel on the Romanowski Affair
- This whole story, if we look at it over these past months, how this soap opera has been dragging on, shows that it is a political matter and it is brought up again when it is convenient for the ruling party – said Radosław Fogiel in an interview with Marcin Fijołek on Polsat News' "Graffiti". - First, an attempt to quickly show their supporters that we are not letting go, so quickly that they got confused, tripped over their own feet, forgot that Marcin Romanowski has the immunity of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe – he continued. - Now, it is no coincidence that after a truly rather nightmarish weekend from Platforma's point of view, where they really took a beating in terms of political communication, because of both Rafał Trzaskowski's very weak convention and the presence of President Kaczyński online, and this juxtaposition: Karol Nawrocki, who reminds Poles that flood victims still haven't received help, and this ball – he went on to say. - We were joking bitterly amongst ourselves two days ago that after something like this, they would have to arrest some PiS member [...] of course, I do not suspect Marcin Romanowski of anything, but if he had wanted to obstruct [...] he had the last year to do so – he added.

08:40

Kosiniak-Kamysz Announces PSL Supreme Council Session

- We have the [PSL] Supreme Council on Saturday, but we agreed on the election season that began with the parliamentary elections. The presidential elections are to be the finale - stated Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz on Radio Zet.

08:46

Fogiel on Święczkowski:

He's Not the First Constitutional Tribunal Judge with a Parliamentary Past.
- He is not [Bogdan Święczkowski] the first Constitutional Tribunal judge who has had a stint in parliament; there have been several such individuals, and I'm not just referring to the last decade, but earlier as well - Radosław Fogiel stated on Polsat News. - I have the impression that this entire witch hunt is once again based on the fact that a significant portion of our opponents believe that democratic procedures cease to apply the moment they are not in power. Because when the parliamentary majority of PO-PSL existed from 2007 to 2015 and they nominated judges to the Constitutional Tribunal, everything was fine. But when another majority nominates them, then these judges are politicized, bad, and illegal - he continued.

08:52

Fogiel:

There's an attempted assassination of the Constitutional Tribunal. Someone will pay for this one day, Bodnar should stand trial.
- There is an attempt at an administrative assassination of a constitutional body, which is the [Constitutional] Tribunal, because the proposed budget effectively lacks funds for the tribunal's operation, meaning it's not being liquidated, but its ability to function is being eliminated - Radosław Fogiel stated on Polsat News. - We will raise this issue and, moreover, someone will eventually pay for this - he continued. - It will be a court decision, but he should stand before that court - he added, when asked if Adam Bodnar would go to jail for what he is doing with the tribunal.

09:03

Fogiel on Kaczyński and His Activity on X:

He Must Have Liked It. He's Aware of Today's Communication Challenges.
- He must have liked it [Jarosław Kaczyński using X/Twitter], because if it weren't the case, he wouldn't continue this activity - Radosław Fogiel said on Polsat News. - I don't think we'll get used to once a day for this frequency [of posting] - he continued. - The chairman is, after all, perfectly aware of the communication challenges of today's world [...] the chairman is also aware of the destructive power it has that he can communicate directly and in a way that is difficult to ignore with Poles - he went on to say. - Without exaggeration - he stressed, responding to the remark that the next step is Instagram.

09:20

Tusk's Christmas Gift: Soaring Prices - Morawiecki Releases New Video

- Christmas is getting closer, and this year it's unfortunately marked by rampant inflation. How will this translate to the look of Christmas Eve tables in Polish homes? It's frightening to think. Donald Tusk's government has abolished the relief of 0% VAT on food - says the narrator in a new PiS clip, published on social media.

- Now, thanks to this scandalous decision, we are seeing the first effects. Butter has doubled in price. A basket of 14 basic food products cost PLN 99 a month ago, and now it has broken the psychological barrier of PLN 100 and continues to rise - the narrator continues.

The video features statements from politicians of the ruling coalition, including a Member of Parliament from Poland 2050 saying that a roll without butter can also be eaten, and Adam Szłapka on the price of butter after Rafał Trzaskowski's victory.

09:44

Kaczyński on the assassination order by Putin and the separation of visits:

Let’s hope the time of justice will come.

- 14 years and 8 months ago, a great crime occurred, an assassination of the plane carrying a Polish delegation with the President of the Republic of Poland, my brother, the late Lech Kaczyński, and his wife. It carried many representatives of the Polish political elite, military, and clergy. This assassination was carried out, of this there is no doubt, on Putin's orders. And those who stand here are Putin's agents - stated Jarosław Kaczyński during a press briefing.

"Unfortunately, our state is still helpless against these agents"

- Shameless, because unfortunately, our state is still helpless against these agents. It is unknown whether it is because it wants to be helpless, or because it simply cannot help but be helpless. But the time will come when this will end, when these people of Putin, who constantly, against the law - because the law is very clear that disturbing demonstrations is forbidden, that demonstrations whose sole purpose is to disrupt others are unacceptable, and therefore we are dealing with a permanent violation of the law, also by the current authorities. The previous ones, however, kept this group of thugs and agents away from us - the PiS leader continued.

"The group of thugs and agents will end up where they belong"

- Let us hope that the time of justice will come, that those who are truly responsible here in Poland for bringing about this catastrophe, even through the separation of visits, will be duly assessed by the courts and, if the courts find them guilty, they will be punished. This group of thugs and agents will end up where they belong, that is, in Polish prisons. I hope for many years - he added.

"The day of victory will come"

- The fight is still ongoing, a fight to regain the rights of the Polish nation, because today these rights are being taken away, because the law is being broken. The authorities currently at the helm have simply decided that their law does not apply. But the day of victory will come, we already have the presidential campaign, and I don't want to talk about it here because it's a solemn occasion, but it is our great hope for change, for the end of these very bad times, of this very bad year - he concluded.

10:36

Trzaskowski on Święczkowski and the Task for the New President:

As the President, so the Constitutional Tribunal.
- As the President, so the Constitutional Tribunal. Andrzej Duda will not rebuild the authority of an institution whose destruction he participated in. This is a task for the new President of the Republic of Poland – wrote Rafał Trzaskowski on social media.

11:47

"I’ve been through this so many times I can’t count." Hołownia on hate from "friends associated with Civic Platform"
- Very predictable hate from Confederation supporters, I’ve read it a thousand times. Of course, there’s also hate from our friends associated with Civic Platform. I’ve been through this so many times, I can’t count anymore… Last year, after our justified vote regarding the Supreme Court, then when there was the terror of a single list and herding us. Now, it will probably happen again after our justified vote concerning the immunity of Kaczyński and company - said Szymon Hołownia during a live online broadcast. - Paweł Lisiak asks if I am proud of myself, calling me a “PiS clown.” This is precisely the love with the consistency of tar, which the supporters of our coalition partners have been flooding us with for several days, in one form or another - he continued, referring to one of the comments.

11:58

Hołownia on Kaczyński’s Immunity and the Wreath Case:

A Mockery, Not a Motion.
- Forgive me, ladies and gentlemen – in a case concerning the violation of bodily integrity and suspicion thereof, there is no discussion whatsoever, and we voted to lift that immunity – said Szymon Hołownia during a live online broadcast. - However, when it comes to the destruction of a plaque on a wreath worth 40 zlotys, because that was the value stated in the motion, […] on which it was written that Lech Kaczyński murdered his wife and some 90-odd other people – if you tell me that this is an immunity motion that should suddenly usher in an era of reckoning with PiS, then I believe it is a mockery, not a motion. I will stand by this position, regardless of what anyone says – he emphasized.

12:12

Tusk on the liquidation of the CBA:

The institution established to fight corruption protected those in power and mostly dealt with the opposition.

- None of us had any doubts that what had been happening with this service [CBA] in recent years was, in effect, a mockery of the mission for which it was established when it came into being. These years have shown that the predecessors used various methods ruthlessly in political combat, methods in which state services also participated. Everyone in Poland had an increasingly disheartening impression that the institution established to fight corruption was, in reality, protecting those in power and mostly dealing with the opposition – stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk during a government session.

12:16

Hołownia:

None of us are protecting Kaczyński, but theater and revenge are not justice
- None of us support Kaczyński and none of us are protecting him. We are voting to lift the immunities of PiS MPs, however, we believe – and I personally believe too – that theater and revenge, which is what these motions [to lift immunity] were about, are not justice – said Szymon Hołownia during a live online broadcast. - Theater and revenge directed elsewhere. With us, at Poland 2050, with me as Szymon Hołownia – it's about justice, accountability where it's needed, not emotions – he added.

12:16

Tusk Announces Talks with Zelensky, Macron, and CDU Leader

- I will have a series of talks concerning primarily the situation beyond our eastern border. As you might guess, our presidency will be, among other things, co-responsible for what the political landscape will look like, the situation perhaps during negotiations, which may, and there are still question marks here, begin in the winter of this year - stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk during a government meeting.

- Today I will have the opportunity to discuss this with President Zelensky, which is why we will have to work quickly today, and the head of the CDU, perhaps the future chancellor, is also coming to me directly from Kyiv - he continued.

- The day after tomorrow, President Macron will be with us; he will want to inform us about the results of these Paris talks - he added.

The Prime Minister of Estonia is also expected to visit Warsaw. At the beginning of the presidency in Poland, the Prime Minister of Great Britain will also be present, and Prime Minister Tusk will travel to Oslo.

12:24

Tusk Addresses Bodnar, Discusses Son of Prominent PiS Politician:

There Can Be No Sacred Cows in Poland.
“There are no, and there can be no, sacred cows in Poland. If there is anything sacred in Poland, it is Polish children, and I believe everyone among us thinks so,” stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk during a government session. “Children are sacred and untouchable. I am addressing the Minister [Bodnar], also as the Prosecutor General. He will present information today, after exhausting the agenda, on how we will pursue justice against all those who attempted to quash a case that is currently enraging all of Poland, namely the sexual violence against an 8-year-old girl, and this violence lasted for years,” he continued. “Not only because the perpetrator was the son of a prominent PiS politician, the prosecution, instead of pursuing the accused, did everything to make him avoid justice. The prosecution also failed to investigate information that his father, a prominent PiS politician, was coaxing witnesses to withdraw or change their testimony. This is the beginning of this case,” the Prime Minister added.

12:49

PiS Launches Collective Layoff Counter in Poland
- Today, on the stoppatowładzy.pl website, we have launched a counter for those who are being stripped of their dignity by this bad government of Donald Tusk. This is a counter that shows reported collective layoffs in Poland. As of today, it already exceeds 19,800 people, and these figures will be updated by the end of the year - said Michał Moskal at a press conference.

12:59

The Ruling Party Isn't Saying One-Third of Spending Money Will Have to Be Borrowed. Kuźmiuk on the 2025 Budget
- A lot is being said about the 2025 budget, and in an optimistic variant, that we will have money for armament, healthcare, social programs, and enough for everything. At least that's what the ruling party is saying. They just aren't saying that one-third of the money for all these expenses will have to be borrowed - Zbigniew Kuźmiuk said at a press conference. - Of course, the world is such that there is no shortage of money to borrow, but [...] these loans are becoming increasingly expensive. Suffice it to say that debt servicing alone next year will amount to approximately PLN 100 billion, which is not much less than what we spend from the budget on national defense - he continued.

13:08

Fogiel:

The PKW Not Only Illegally Withholds Our Funds but Also Usurps the Right to Decide Who is a Judge in Poland
- We will fight with all methods provided for by law, we are counting on a fair court decision [...] we don't know how the PKW will behave, but we have already had attempts to decide, beyond the competences of the National Electoral Commission, who can be part of the adjudicating panel, who is a judge, this is simply absurd - said Radosław Fogiel at a press conference. - The PKW, not only illegally withholds our funds but also usurps the right to decide who is a judge in Poland. Unfortunately, this is the reality we live in today - he continued.

13:14

Moskal:

The Farce Performed by Kalisz Could Only Be Culminated by Him Being Caught Hanging Illegal Trzaskowski Banners
- During this session, after which Mr. Kalisz announced that if the ruling were not in favor of the PKW, i.e., against Law and Justice, it would not be taken into account by the PKW, during the same session the PKW took into account the ruling of the Supreme Court with a panel that almost entirely overlapped with the panel that will consider the case of Law and Justice - said Michał Moskal at a press conference. - This shows that these premises are exclusively political. The farce performed by Mr. Kalisz could only be culminated by him being caught hanging illegal banners of Rafał Trzaskowski - he continued.

13:17

Moskal on Reports to the Prosecutor's Office After Audits in Services:

Siemoniak Had to Make a Santa Claus Gift for Tusk.
- Regarding these reports to the prosecutor's office, I understand that Mr. Siemoniak had to make some Santa Claus gift for Donald Tusk, but it's hard to take these announcements seriously - said Michał Moskal at a press conference, when asked about 24 reports to the prosecutor's office following audits in the CBA and other services.

13:22

Moskal:

The Operation Targeting Pegasus Software is Russian, Conducted by the GRU
- This entire operation targeting so-called Pegasus-type software is a Russian operation conducted by the GRU. If one were to look at the Catalan thread in this matter, GRU influences aimed at ensuring that not only Poland, but also European Union countries do not possess this type of software, which helped catch, find, and track Russian agents [...] the matter is absolutely clear, who and what intentions they had in striking at our services - said Michał Moskal at a press conference.

13:25

Kuźmiuk:

The Dissolution of the CBA is an Unprecedented Scandal, It Will Mean Political Tolerance for Corruption
- Thanks to its existence and functioning [CBA] for many years, regardless of who ruled Poland, the level of corruption in Poland was at one of the lowest levels in the European Union. This is a gigantic success for the officers of this bureau - said Zbigniew Kuźmiuk at a press conference. - The dissolution of this service is an unprecedented scandal, regardless of what the coalition partners propose on this matter, it will mean this time political tolerance for corruption in Poland - he continued.

14:17

Święczkowski:

I will demand from the Prime Minister the publication of Constitutional Tribunal rulings

- The fact that Constitutional Tribunal rulings are not being published is a very bad circumstance, and I will ask again and I will make a request, a demand, to the Prime Minister that these Constitutional Tribunal rulings be published - stated Bogdan Święczkowski at a press briefing.

14:23

Święczkowski:

I Was an Independent Candidate. I Only Ran on the PiS Electoral Committee List

-
I very clearly emphasized that I was an independent candidate. I only ran on the list of the PiS electoral committee, but I never belonged to the party, nor did I engage in political activity. I was also a councillor as an independent candidate on the PiS committee list - stated Bogdan Święczkowski at a press briefing.

18:40

Nawrocki to the Audience: "I Apologize for the Delay. It Took Me 40 Minutes to Get Out of Warsaw's Służewiec District"
- At the very beginning, I feel obliged to say "I apologize" for this dozen or so minutes of delay. It took me 40 minutes to get out of Warsaw's Służewiec district, and it took me another 40 minutes to drive from the outskirts of Warsaw to Siedlce - said Karol Nawrocki in Siedlce.

18:49

Rosa:

I Understand Macierewicz Is Accustomed to Impunity, But Immunity Isn't for Evading Traffic Stops
- That's not what immunity is for. I understand that Mr. Antoni Macierewicz has become accustomed in recent years to being beyond reproach, that he can act contrary to or outside the law and consequences will never reach him, but immunity is not for protecting us from traffic stops, it's not for avoiding paying fines or submitting to a breathalyzer test - said Monika Rosa in an interview with Beata Lubecka on the "Gość Radia ZET" program.

18:55

Nawrocki in Siedlce: In Warsaw, They Choose Between Different Wines - And Poland Is Here, Here Are the Problems to Solve
- I would like to greet you with the word 'bonjour' or 'bonsoir'. Welcome to Warsaw, in which this is the story, in which one chooses between Alsatian wine and Sauvignon Blanc, or another wine from different regions of Poland. And Poland is here, ladies and gentlemen. Here are our problems to solve. Here are the things we need to deal with. Here is sustainable development, which is absent, and which we need - said Karol Nawrocki in Siedlce.

18:56

Nawrocki Gains in Polls. Rosa: "Very Natural, Obvious, Exactly What We Expected"
- This is very natural and very obvious, and exactly what we expected: that every candidate supported by Law and Justice, who is a PiS candidate, will achieve results around the party's political support level - said Monika Rosa on Radio ZET, when asked about the results of a poll in which Karol Nawrocki is "catching up" to Rafał Trzaskowski (Trzaskowski 46%, Nawrocki 34% in the second round, gaining 10 percentage points in two weeks).

- The fact that he started from a low level as a relatively unknown person meant it was obvious he would quickly reach the party's support level and that the fight would take place between the two main candidates. Between Rafał Trzaskowski and the PiS candidate, Mr. Nawrocki. And there is no surprise here - she continued.

19:00

Rosa:

Butter Prices Don't Necessarily Depend on Political Decisions
- It seems to me, and I have a deep conviction, that the price of butter doesn't necessarily depend on political decisions. Currently, butter prices [...] this is happening across the entire European Union and it's a result of droughts and diseases causing cows to give less milk, which in turn has led to an increase in butter prices - said Monika Rosa on Radio ZET.

19:04

Rosa:

Trzaskowski is Associated with Large Centers. The Plan for the Coming Weeks is to Visit Smaller Towns
- Rafał Trzaskowski's plan for the coming weeks is to visit the Lublin, Lesser Poland, and Silesian voivodeships, focusing on smaller towns, because Rafał Trzaskowski is usually associated with big cities and centers, but we want to win over the residents of these smaller localities as well – Monika Rosa said on Radio ZET.

19:05

The Hall is Packed. You Already Know Why Dr. Karol Nawrocki is Under Such Attack." Szefernaker on the Meeting in Siedlce
We are about to start another meeting with the civic candidate for President. This time in Siedlce. The hall is packed. Do you already know why Dr. Karol Nawrocki is under such attack? - Paweł Szefernaker wrote on social media.

19:07

Rosa:

Campaigning on the Tragedy of the Flood is Shameful
- What is shameful is campaigning on the tragedy that the flood was. And arriving for an hour, carrying a couple of bags of cement or a washing machine is truly not help. It is solely a poorly understood form of self-marketing on people who genuinely need help. And this simply should not be permissible - said Monika Rosa on Radio ZET.

19:11

Rosa:

I am concerned that we still lack a renewable energy act
- I am of course concerned that we still lack a renewable energy act - said Monika Rosa on Radio ZET. - No, I don't think it's a matter of personal changes or reshuffles; some ministries probably just need more time for such changes - she continued, when asked if there should be personal reshuffles associated with this.

19:19

Nawrocki on SB Officers' Pensions:

This is one of the few promises Tusk is fulfilling.
- In January 2023, Donald Tusk made one of his 100 promises in your city, one that he is consistently fulfilling, one of the few he is fulfilling… it was here, in your city, that the promise to restore pension privileges to Security Service officers was made – said Karol Nawrocki in Siedlce.

- In Poland, unfortunately, a slow, hidden process of re-ubekization is underway, restoring pension privileges to people who spied, put people in internment camps, imprisoned them, broke up families, and forced them to emigrate – while over 9,000 individuals decorated with the Crosses of Freedom and Solidarity… often live from hand to mouth – he continued.

19:25

Nawrocki Makes a Declaration:

I Will Be a President Who Never Signs This Law.
- Just as the words spoken by today's Prime Minister, then a candidate for Prime Minister Donald Tusk, were uttered in January [2023], so today in Siedlce I want to say clearly: I will be the President of the Republic of Poland who will never sign a law reinstating pension privileges for SB [Security Service] officers - Karol Nawrocki said in Siedlce.

19:41

Nawrocki:

I Don't Know How Much Butter Will Cost When I'm President. The President Doesn't Decide That
- I want to be honest with you - I don't know how much butter will cost when I am President of the Republic of Poland - said Karol Nawrocki in Siedlce. - Let's be honest, the president doesn't have direct instruments to decide how much butter, bread, or poultry costs. Unfortunately, I'm listing all these things that have gotten terribly expensive recently - he continued. - On the other hand, if someone takes responsibility, it's the Polish government, although we also know about these economic mechanisms, [...] of the free market. But, to be honest, we know that every government has a specific influence on this - he added.

20:38

Brejza on the Justice Fund:

We Are Talking About a Criminal Group, a Para-Mafia Arrangement.

- The court confirmed what the prosecution presented, meaning that the probability, a high probability of committing a crime, has been established. The court took into account the health condition of the suspect, but we are talking here about 11 charges, very serious ones, causing enormous damage to the state treasury, meaning to our viewers – stated Krzysztof Brejza in the program "Fakty po Faktach" on TVN24.

- We are also talking about an unprecedented case. We are talking about a criminal group that operated within the Ministry of Justice. I don't recall in the history of the Western world, the EU, or civilized states a situation where a criminal group, such a para-mafia arrangement, operated within the Ministry of Justice of any state and milked, stole, and wasted money in rigged competitions, and laundered dirty money – he continued.

Brejza:

The State Reclaims Agency and Pursues Theft

- Now the state is reclaiming its agency. The state is winning, principles are winning, values are winning, and it's no wonder that this state is being attacked and ridiculed by these people. There is aggression towards Minister Bodnar's prosecutor's office, towards the special services, because the state, the Republic, has regained its agency. It is pursuing theft – said Krzysztof Brejza on TVN24.

Brejza Comments on Macierewicz's Behavior During Smolensk Anniversaries:

He's Behaving Like a Sociopath.
Every violation of inviolability, every such act must be enforced, prosecuted by the law enforcement agencies appointed for this purpose, but we are dealing with something unprecedented here. A politician, a former minister, who should set an example, behaves like a hooligan, some sort of complete sociopath, but this shows his aggression. Aggression comes from, ladies and gentlemen? From intellectual deficiency, from having no arguments. This man is factually compromised – stated Krzysztof Brejza on TVN24.

For many years, Antoni Macierewicz acted like a charlatan. He dug a trench of hatred between Poles, he dug a trench of lies based on this deceitful myth of a supposed assassination in Smolensk – he continued.

There should be absolute consequences, there is no immunity for Macierewicz for this, absolutely not – he added.

Trela:

When it came to stealing, they were healthy; now that it's time to face consequences, everyone is sick
In Law and Justice (PiS), it's like this: when it was time to commit swindles, to steal, everyone was healthy, but when it's time to bear consequences, to take responsibility, everyone gets sick and lands in hospitals. We already know the story of Mr. Ziobro, who didn't show up for the Pegasus investigation committee, only to go to the prosecutor's office in Sieradz the next day to give testimony as a victim. Now we have a similar story – stated Tomasz Trela on TVN24. - Not only are they scoundrels who siphoned off public money, but they are also common cowards who are afraid to face justice head-on – he added. - Perhaps Mr. Romanowski underwent some surgery, perhaps he didn't, I don't know. However, there is no such wording or exceptions in criminal law that if you are sick, you avoid responsibility – he emphasized.

Kaczyński on Nawrocki:

He Can Bring New Quality to Polish Politics.

- I am convinced that he has a huge chance [Karol Nawrocki] to do so, because he is a man of great strength, both physically, in the direct sense – he can lift a lot, but also in the sense that refers to endurance, resilience to enormous burdens. And moreover, he is a man deeply involved in Polish affairs and very authentic in this regard - stated Jarosław Kaczyński on wPolsce24.

- It seems that he is able to convey this authenticity to people, that people can believe him. That very many people, who are disgusted with politics, with everything that is happening in politics, can believe that he brings something new, that is, that he brings new quality. I myself am convinced that he can bring this new quality to Polish politics - he continued.

Kaczyński:

It's clear there will be attacks. It's their modus operandi

- Nothing else could have been expected. It's clear there will be such attacks. It's their modus operandi. They are unable to give it up – stated Jarosław Kaczyński on wPolsce24.

- Lying is their primary method and primary instrument of action, the foundation of everything they build in politics. We were prepared for this, and we know that President Karol Nawrocki is also prepared for it. He is ready to endure it – he continued.

Kaczyński on Tweeting:

Relatively Often.

I think [I will be tweeting] relatively often, at least during the election campaign, because it is an easy way to convey various kinds of information, opinions, objections, endorsements, etc. In short, it is an easy way of communicating – stated Jarosław Kaczyński in wPolsce24.

I haven’t used it, but today the situation is extraordinary. Not only because of the presidential elections, which are a certain political routine, but these are elections at a special moment. In Poland, democracy is being destroyed, development opportunities are being destroyed, everything that the patriotic part of society has fought for is being destroyed. And this also benefited those who are more interested in ordinary life, not broader issues, but those who want to live well – he continued.

All of them, and this is ultimately the majority, are currently, regardless of their level of awareness, powerfully struck by this government. The point is that someone will emerge who will be a medium that allows these people to look together at everything that is happening in Poland and draw conclusions from it during the election campaign – added the Law and Justice party leader.
