Tuesday's Political Agenda: Government on Budget Amendment and Health Contribution, Duda on RDS Changes, Senate Session Begins

The government will convene for a session at 12:00. The most important item on the agenda is the draft amendment to this year's budget, along with its implementing provisions. Ministers will also address changes to the health contribution – in the government's proposal, this concerns so-called fixed assets.

At 12:00, at the Presidential Palace, President Andrzej Duda will present state decorations to the medalists and coaches of the XVII Summer Paralympic Games in Paris. Subsequently, at 15:00, the head of state will make changes to the composition of the Tripartite Commission for Social Dialogue.

At 10:50, a briefing will be held by the Marshal of the Senate, Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska, before the 21st session of the chamber, which begins at 11:00. The agenda includes, among other things, the act on a honorary benefit for reaching 100 years of life.

08:07

Duda asked about a trip to Georgia:

We will consider it if there is a situation where it is needed.

- Of course, we will consider it if there is a situation where it is needed. That is clear to me. I consider it my duty in a sense, should such a situation arise, but today, first and foremost, yes, I spoke with the President about this situation. Please also take into account that a little over a month ago, the President was here in Warsaw, visiting me - stated President Andrzej Duda in an interview with Bogdan Rymanowski on Radio Zet.

"Four Names": Sasin on PiS's Potential Presidential Candidates
- We are calmly discussing who would be the best candidate in the current situation, who could win the elections. [...] I think we are very close to this choice, we have significantly narrowed down the circle of people from whom we will choose - said Jacek Sasin in an interview with Marcin Fijołek on Polsat News' "Graffiti". - I think there are actually a few more, I would rather say four [...] I don't want to throw out these names, because there's no point in hyping up this discussion - he continued, when asked if the choice had narrowed down to two names: Przemysław Czarnek and Karol Nawrocki. - We started with a pool of over a dozen candidates, which shows that contrary to what our opponents try to say, it's not the case that we don't have a presidential candidate; on the contrary, we have several good candidates for president, the point is to choose the best one - he added.

08:13

Sasin:

I am convinced that Jakubiak will support the PiS candidate in the second round
- I think these elections will not be decided in the first round anyway, so I am counting on it and I am convinced that this will be the case, that Marek Jakubiak, who after all ran on our electoral lists, will support our candidate, the candidate of Law and Justice, in the second round - said Jacek Sasin in Polsat News, when asked if Marek Jakubiak's candidacy is a threat to PiS. - A positive psychological effect, where several candidates support the candidate of United Right - he continued.

08:14

Duda on the Georgian Elections:

An International Investigation is Necessary.
I also believe that such an investigation, in the sense of thoroughly examining all the opinions of international observers who witnessed these elections up close, is necessary to understand the scale of potential falsification. Because there is little doubt that falsification occurred - stated President Andrzej Duda on Radio Zet.

08:17

Duda on Czarzasty's proposal:

He barely exists in politics and I guess this is how he decided to make his mark.

- Mr. Czarzasty barely exists in politics and I guess this is how he decided to make his mark [with the motion to revoke the Order of the White Eagle from Antoni Macierewicz], truly, that he would come up with such a proposal. One can smile. I see no reason to [revoke it] – stated President Andrzej Duda on Radio Zet.

08:18

Sasin:

Colleagues from Sovereign Poland Were Right on Many Issues
- Colleagues from Sovereign Poland were right on many issues, and this must be clearly stated, in the various discussions we had within the United Right camp - said Jacek Sasin on Polsat News. - Certainly, to a large extent, yes - he continued, when asked if Sovereign Poland was right on the issue of EU policy.

08:26

Duda:

You Can Write Anything in a Report

- You can write anything in a report, especially recently, when we are dealing with bizarre situations like a priest being held in custody for six months or more for some alleged financial malversations, while simply… I am not questioning the value of this report, I am just saying that it is simply some report, the objectivity of which has not truly been assessed yet - stated President Andrzej Duda on Radio Zet.

08:29

Duda:

The Smolensk Catastrophe Issue is Politically Dangerous for Tusk

Please remember that Antoni Macierewicz has many furious opponents in Poland, especially since the issue of the Smolensk catastrophe is, in general, a politically very dangerous matter for Donald Tusk – stated President Andrzej Duda on Radio Zet.

Because, after all, we must look at this calmly and recall who was responsible for Polish prosecutors being unable to participate in investigative activities in Russia while examining the causes of the Smolensk catastrophe, who relinquished our right, which stemmed from the agreement on military aircraft catastrophes – he continued.

08:38

Duda on Sikorski's decision regarding the closure of the Russian consulate in Poznań:

I hope there were significant reasons, not just a campaign stunt.

- Russia, Russian soldiers, and Russian authorities are committing crimes in Ukraine, and these crimes must be accounted for. However, despite all this, the basic level of diplomatic relations has been maintained until now, just as other countries in the world do. Therefore, I hope there were indeed significant reasons for making this decision, and that it is not a matter of an election campaign that Mr. Minister [Sikorski] wants to run. Everyone sees it – stated President Andrzej Duda on Radio Zet.

- Everyone sees that he is very strongly considered as a candidate and it is known that he is very interested in it – PAD continued.

08:42

Duda on Czarnek:

Certainly Has Competencies and Political Experience.
"Certainly, the minister [Czarnek] has competencies and political experience as well, so there are no doubts about that. Moreover, he is also a university professor, which means he has scientific preparation and background, which is, of course, very valuable, meaning one can confidently say that his preparation is far beyond average" - stated President Andrzej Duda on Radio Zet.

08:46

Duda:

Kosiniak-Kamysz Would Be a Better Prime Minister Than Tusk

- I think so [Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz would be a better Prime Minister than Donald Tusk] - stated President Andrzej Duda on Radio Zet.

08:55

Duda supports Left's idea of a free Christmas Eve:

It would be good

- I think so. That it would be good if Christmas Eve were a day off from work, and I agree with this idea from the Left, especially for women, who, as we know, traditionally in our country, someone might be satisfied, someone might be dissatisfied, but they still have their role here when it comes to preparing Christmas Eve dishes in many homes. It would truly be easier for the ladies, and also easier for the men, because, after all, a lot of shopping needs to be done before Christmas Eve, and the house needs to be prepared for Christmas Eve as well – stated President Andrzej Duda on Radio Zet.

09:07

Leszczyna:

We Will Shorten Waiting Lists, But It Will Take Time
- We have abolished limits on hospice and palliative care, but attention, a person comes to the Ministry of Health and conducts an analysis, and what came out of this analysis? It turns out that my predecessors abolished the limits in outpatient specialist care, i.e. where a cardiologist, neurologist, diabetologist, and so on, see patients – stated Izabela Leszczyna in the program ,,Rozmowa Piaseckiego” on TVN24. - Have the queues shortened? No, they have lengthened. This means that abolishing the limit is not the solution, it is a means to an end, but the goal has not been achieved, which is why I am doing it differently. We will achieve shorter queues and greater accessibility, but in another way, and it will take time, and I never said it would happen overnight — she added.

09:07

Duda on Strzembosz:

He Has Great Experience. In Maintaining Communism.
Professor Strzembosz is one of the people responsible for the fact that communist judges, stained by their membership in the PZPR, and some stained by issuing verdicts during martial law, remained in the Polish judiciary - stated President Andrzej Duda on Radio Zet. - So I think his speaking out on these matters is at least out of place. But I understand he is an older gentleman now. Oh yes, he has great experience. In maintaining communism, for sure - he continued.

09:08

Leszczyna on Fixing the Healthcare System:

We Can Do It in 4 Years.

- It's as difficult as I thought it would be. What overwhelms me is the fact that legislation, meaning changes, introducing regulations and laws, is taking longer than I would want and thought possible – said Izabela Leszczyna on TVN24.

- It's this [legislation] that will give breathing room to the healthcare system, provide better care for patients, but it must take time and won't happen within a year. I believe that within 4 years, meaning this term, we are capable of fixing the completely inefficient healthcare system inherited from 8 years of PiS rule - the Minister of Health continued.

09:09

New Ministry of Health Regulation on Rehabilitation Limitations. Leszczyna: No Child Will Lose It If They Had It

- Because Professor Łukowicz is criticizing a regulation today, which she herself essentially wrote. Therefore, I have appointed another team of experts who must now answer the question for me: Is such a change in indications good, or is it not good? But I assure you of one thing, no child will lose hospital rehabilitation if they had it – stated Izabela Leszczyna on TVN24.

09:18

Duda:

I would be prepared to consider the 'closest person' status issue

- I recall, I stated some time ago that I would be prepared to consider the issue of the 'closest person' status. I said I would be prepared to consider a draft that would establish a legal institution in some sense called 'closest person', but as in every case, such a law would need to be examined in detail - stated President Andrzej Duda on Radio Zet.

09:35

Tusk on Polls:

I have a bit of a boyish satisfaction today.
KO today in two polls (CBOS and United Surveys) reached 37% among decided voters. I know, it's just polls and tomorrow they might be different, but today I have a bit of a boyish satisfaction when I imagine the faces of the ceiling experts on Tusk (max 20%). It will pass soon, I promise - Prime Minister Donald Tusk wrote on social media.

14:02

Błaszczak on PiS’s Presidential Candidate Selection:

It Happens As the Art of Public Opinion Research Dictates.
- It happens as the art of public opinion research dictates. First, there were studies concerning the candidate's profile, meaning how Poles imagine the future president, what traits the future president should embody. Furthermore, Prime Minister Jarosław Kaczyński spoke about this, about the candidate's profile, and then studies regarding support for individual persons - Mariusz Błaszczak said in an interview with TVN24. The head of the PiS parliamentary club did not answer the question of whether Przemysław Czarnek would be a good candidate.

15:22

Budka to Duda:

Andrzej, Go All In.

- Andrzej, go all in - immediately pardon Father Michał O. and free the judiciary from this difficult matter - wrote Borys Budka on social media.

15:38

Tusk:

Deficit is Larger Because We Achieved More Than Expected
- The Minister of Finance has proposed a budget amendment for this year, for 2024, the deficit will be larger. I would like to state immediately that we are, of course, in a rather paradoxical situation. This deficit is larger, and it must be honestly recorded in the budget law, because in a sense, we have achieved more than was assumed when our predecessors drew up this budget - Prime Minister Donald Tusk said at a press conference. - State budget revenues are clearly lower because inflation is lower than assumed in the budget. It's three-point-something, it was supposed to be 6. [...] The fact that year-on-year inflation is clearly lower, half as low as the creators of this budget assumed, also means lower tax revenue - he continued. - Predecessors also included for this year, 2024 [...] that the National Bank of Poland would pay 6 billion in profit to the state budget, and the National Bank of Poland informed us long ago that it is at a loss - he went on to say.

15:40

Tusk Announces Government Meeting on Hospital Situation

- We have government meetings scheduled both next week and in mid-November. One of these meetings will be dedicated exclusively to the situation, primarily in Polish hospitals. I am the last person who would urge you or the public to look into someone's pockets when there are no reasons, no criminal contexts. People work, there are certain rates, they work a lot, they work hard, they earn a lot – stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk at a press conference.

- There is no risk here, and Minister Leszczyna is the last person who would want to stir up any emotions by informing, among other things, about earnings. We have a problem, and it's a problem related to a law adopted probably in 2020 and later amended in 2022, which causes automatic salary increases in the sector. This concerns all healthcare workers – he continued.

15:48

Tusk on 800+:

Nothing will change here.

- Don't let yourselves be manipulated by those who, not for the first time, are trying to convince Poles that if I am prime minister, it means I will take something away. I said years ago, when I became the head of Civic Platform, upon my return, I said that nothing that has been given will be taken away. What's more, 500+ has turned into 800+. It was a joint vote by the Sejm, but it was our government that took on the sweet burden of being able to pay 800 PLN per child every month, and nothing will change here – stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk at a press conference.

15:49

Tusk on Gajewska's Words:

She Said the Obvious.

- Minister Aleksandra Gajewska said the obvious. It follows not only from this report but from all statistical data that this and other programs have so far not contributed to any positive change regarding demographics and the number of births, but it also has other functions and goals. Primarily, lifting hundreds of thousands of Polish families out of poverty - stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk at a press conference.

15:49

Tusk Announces Presentation of Preliminary Results by the Commission on Russian Influence:

Strong Theses and Findings.
- We have received the first substantive report [...] from the commission for the investigation of Russian influence, speaking generally, on Polish politics. [...] Today, at the government session [...] General Stróżyk briefly presented the first part of the report, these are strong theses and strong findings - said Prime Minister Donald Tusk at a press conference. - Tomorrow, General Stróżyk, along with the commission members, will present the hitherto work of the commission in detail, in specifics. Of course, it is not ending its work with this; on the contrary, this annual report will be announced in March next year, but it is not impossible that the commission will present a report concerning disinformation still along the way, at the beginning of the year - he continued. - You will probably be surprised by some of the findings presented by the commission tomorrow - he added further.

15:53

Tusk on Health Contribution Changes:

4 Billion Will Be Felt by Micro-Entrepreneurs For Sure.

- We will want to help, at least a little. It's not too much, but micro-entrepreneurs will certainly feel these 4 billion, and work is still ongoing. Some ministers are still arguing a bit, okay, but we will sort it out, and next week we should add this part concerning the reduction of the health contribution to the project - stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk at a press conference.

15:57

Tusk:

Together with ministers, I decided to postpone the so-called deposit bill
- I have made a decision together with the ministers to postpone the so-called deposit bill. It was already passed, also by our predecessors, but it's not enough to pass a bill, the entire state must also be prepared [...] so that this deposit bill is not painful and burdensome, primarily for employees and owners of commercial establishments, including smaller ones - said Prime Minister Donald Tusk at a press conference. - This bill will come into effect on October 1, meaning the Ministry of Climate and Environment has received these extra few months to prepare it so that people do not lose anything from it - he continued.

16:00

Tusk:

Polish Government Not Interested in Treaty Changes

- The Polish government, and here we are very consistent, has for years not been interested in treaty changes. We care a great deal that on critical issues such as migratory pressure on the external European border, the war in Ukraine, and policy towards Russia and Belarus, there is commonality as much as possible - stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk at a press conference.

- It is generally in Poland's interest for European foreign policy to be as common as possible. We see how often Europe as a whole, including Poland, loses out when these foreign policies, as it were, do not align - he continued.

16:05

Tusk on Paweł Szopa's Deportation:

Ministers' Commitment Led to the Swift Conclusion of This Process.

- I heard words of recognition today at the government meeting from the Minister of Justice, Mr. Adam Bodnar, for Minister Siemoniak and Minister Sikorski. All three cooperated very harmoniously to ensure Mr. Szopa returned to his homeland as quickly as possible and shared more about the matters that led him to decide on a long trip to the Dominican Republic. The ministers' commitment was adequate and contributed to our swift conclusion of this process – Prime Minister Donald Tusk stated at a press conference.

16:52

Tusk on freak fight galas:

This 'pato-sport' should be limited.
I believe that what is in fact a 'pato-sport' or 'pato-streamer' should be limited, especially when it comes to the access of the youngest to these types of spectacles, I have no doubts about that. Not censorship. We are not undertaking any work; I would rather appeal to all television stations, including those generally available, to parents, to schools, to protect children from this increasingly widespread pathology and promotion of brutality, because it truly leads to nothing good. But if someone likes it, there's nothing I can do about it – said Prime Minister Donald Tusk at a press conference. Tusk: I will discuss limiting freak fight airtime with coalition leaders Limiting the time, I wouldn't be against that. I will also discuss with the leaders of the ruling party whether these most brutal forms should not be treated similarly to, for example, explicit erotica, where there are specific hours, or alcohol advertisements. It seems to me that this beating, I won't say of what, and an avalanche of curses in the promotion of these fights, is this something our children should watch without any restrictions – he continued.

17:22

Prosecutor's Spokesperson on Paweł S.'s Deportation to Poland:

It's a Matter of Days.

- Today, the Polish prosecution obtained a decision from the Dominican authorities that Mr. Paweł S. will be handed over via deportation. This naturally means that the physical transfer of Mr. Paweł S. to Poland will be significantly shorter. As I indicated on Saturday, this could happen within a few days. I won't hide the fact that I already know the date when Mr. Paweł S. is scheduled to arrive in Poland, but due to the need to properly secure the course of this transport, I am not disclosing the date or the method of the convoy conducted - said Anna Adamiak, spokesperson for the National Prosecutor's Office.

18:07

Hołownia on the Separation of Church and State:

We Have Different Opinions, PSL is Much More Conservative.
- To be honest, I am also concerned that it is taking so long. Because this [separation of church and state] should have been done a long time ago, quickly, and – to be clear – with full respect for the institutions of the state and the institutions of the Church – said Szymon Hołownia during a meeting in Pleszew. - We have different opinions with some coalition partners, primarily with the PSL. The PSL is much more conservative on this issue. […] I would like us to work faster. I am urging my coalition partners to work faster – he appealed.

18:13

Hołownia:

The Issue of the Church Fund Should Have Been Resolved Long Ago
- We got stuck on the Church Fund, which I don't entirely understand, because in my opinion, this problem should have been resolved a long time ago. [...] Also an important note, because as we started to tackle this Church Fund, smaller religious associations came and said: but don't throw us out with the bathwater on this occasion. Because we also benefit from this, we won't sustain ourselves on tax deductions - said Szymon Hołownia during a meeting in Pleszew. - My political group believes, and I believe, that this shouldn't be the mechanism. That the state can find a method of special treatment for smaller communities [...], however, when it comes to large organizations, such as the Catholic Church, the best solution is to increase the limit for donations [...] and possibly a tax deduction - he argued.

18:43

Hołownia:

There Will Be No Joint Presidential Candidate
- My colleague Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz made such a proposal publicly [a joint presidential candidate] on Saturday. Within 60 minutes, the proposal was buried by Civic Platform (PO) and The Left. Therefore, there will be no such candidate - Szymon Hołownia said during a meeting in Pleszew. - I think it's a good idea, but there will be no such candidate. PO said: parties put forward candidates, The Left said: we have our candidate. It takes two to tango - he continued.

18:48

Hołownia:

Poland 2050 Will Likely Have a Presidential Candidate. We're Awaiting PSL's Decision
- Poland 2050 will likely have [a presidential candidate]. As for what our colleagues from PSL will decide, I have the impression we are waiting for them to decide - said Szymon Hołownia during a meeting in Pleszew. - Regarding how the Third Way [will proceed] in the presidential election - you will learn everything in the coming weeks. If PSL decides they have a different idea, they will go their own way. We are consistent with the vision we agreed upon - he indicated. As he added later: - For us, perhaps it will be me, or perhaps, I don't know, maybe someone else will come forward.

18:52

Sikorski on Surveys Regarding His Presidential Bid:

Such Polls Don't Exist; Various Candidates-to-be Commission Their Own.
I read about it in the media, so it must be true [about running for president]. PO will certainly select a candidate who will win these elections. The will to win is a possible part of success – Radosław Sikorski stated on Radio Zet. - I've been reading about internal PO polls for 5 days, and I know that such polls don't exist. These are not PO polls; various candidates, candidates-to-be, commission their own surveys. I don't know [if Rafał Trzaskowski commissioned polls], but I know that PO hasn't conducted any of its own polls since August – he emphasized. - I think Minister Czarnek is a standard of a PiS intellectual, so he could be attractive to that electorate. I can imagine [a duel between Sikorski and Czarnek], and also a duel between Sikorski and Błaszczak, like minister of defense versus minister of defense – he continued.

19:18

Sikorski Comments on Duda's Words Regarding the Russian Consulate in Poznań:

I Was Astonished by That Statement.

- To be honest, I was astonished by the President's statement. I would never have expected the President to stand up for the Russian consulate. I'll attribute it to the fact that the President was in Korea at the time and might not have been fully informed by the representative of the National Security Bureau present at the Council of Ministers' security committee. That's why we invite them, so that the President can be informed about such matters and the issue can be discussed in detail there, and then quite thoroughly again in the Council of Ministers itself; it wasn't my exclusive decision – Radosław Sikorski said on Radio Zet.

19:19

Sikorski on the Exhumation of Volhynia Massacre Victims:

This is not a Matter for Bargaining.
Well, we genuinely believe that graves, Christian burial – that is not a matter for bargaining. We also have certain actions to carry out, and this does not affect or hinder Ukraine in conducting its war. We have already made some progress; there was recently a constructive meeting between the ministers of culture of both countries. I am in contact, literally in the last few dozen hours, also on this matter with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, who assured me that he is working towards a solution – stated Radosław Sikorski on Radio Zet.

19:56

Siemoniak on Szopa’s Deportation:

A Major Achievement by the Services. He Will Be in Poland Soon.
- This is a major achievement for the services, the police, the prosecution, and our consular services. The Dominican Republic seemed far away, and from what I know, Paweł S. will be in Poland quite soon - said Tomasz Siemoniak in an interview with Bogdan Rymanowski on Polsat News’ “Gość Wydarzeń”. - From the attorney’s statements, it appears he is ready to testify. So, I think in this affair, we are dealing with such a pathological mechanism, with actions at the very heart of the PiS government, because it was subordinate to the Prime Minister, that these testimonies will be incredibly important - he stated.

20:06

Siemoniak:

The Commission on Russian Influence Works Without Any Pressure and Without a Predetermined Thesis
- The report [of the commission for the examination of Russian and Belarusian influence] has been presented to the Prime Minister and the Minister of Justice. But tomorrow at noon there will be a press conference with the chairman, General Stróżyk, and members of the commission - said Tomasz Siemoniak in "Gość Wydarzeń" on Polsat News. - It's worth watching tomorrow, because this report is very professional, it lacks emotion, it has few adjectives, and it's full of concrete facts - he added. As he emphasized: - The commission appointed by the Prime Minister works without any pressure and without any predetermined thesis, which distinguishes it from the commission appointed at the end of the PiS government's term. Let the PiS politicians wait until tomorrow for these concrete facts and then comment on them. [...] They will have to confront certain facts, and we will see how they comment on these facts.

20:09

Siemoniak on Macierewicz:

This Figure Represents Decades of Harming Poland
- During the PiS government, various concepts were reversed, and terms like "treason" and "espionage" were thrown around. However, Macierewicz's image in public opinion is not an issue of the last 2-3 days. It's decades of harming Poland, and he must face this truth - said Tomasz Siemoniak on "Gość Wydarzeń" on Polsat News.

20:15

Siewiera on Russia:

They Still Have Plenty to Lose in Poland.

- Undoubtedly, this is a signal sent to Russia; undoubtedly, this is only a consulate. They still have two more, they have one in Gdańsk, they have one in Wrocław, and there is an embassy. Hence, they still have plenty to lose in Poland if the Russian Federation continues to permit itself aggression in the form of hybrid attacks and hybrid warfare – stated Jacek Siewiera on TVN24's "Kropka nad i".

20:19

Siemoniak:

The Chairman Has Drained PiS So Much That Czarnek Appears as Some Kind of Outstanding Personality
- If former minister Czarnek is the PiS candidate, then he is a good opponent for any of the Civic Coalition (KO) candidates. Ideological, remembered with a bad reputation as Minister of Education, with a certain unpleasant aggression that he possesses - said Tomasz Siemoniak in "Gość Wydarzeń" on Polsat News. - He doesn't remind me of a future president, absolutely not. There has never been a president who was a political predator of that type - he assessed. - The Chairman has no candidates. We have excellent candidates; there's a lot of talk about Rafał Trzaskowski, Radosław Sikowski. As long as there's no decision, speculating about chances is pointless. [...] The Chairman has drained PiS so much, he has rid himself of all personalities, that indeed, Minister Czarnek - who can say a few sentences, I must admit, he is not some stammering politician - appears as some kind of outstanding personality - he stated.

20:27

Is Russia Already Here? Tomczyk: Nothing to Add, Nothing to Take Away, After Seeing Who Macierewicz Meets
- General Pytel once said, "Russia is already here," and today one can say: nothing to add, nothing to take away, after seeing Macierewicz, who meets with a citizen of the Russian Federation, after seeing Macierewicz, who meets with a guy who for three years, in his company, used a false name, and instead of Roman Rostkiewicz, it turns out he's just Andrei - said Cezary Tomczyk in a conversation with Marek Czyż on TVP Info's "Question of the Day". - After everything that has been exposed in the Macierewicz case, we already know a lot, but after what you will see tomorrow, we will know even more - he continued.

20:31

Siewiera on the assassination inquiry:

I am deeply convinced we are dealing with an air disaster.

- I am deeply convinced that we are dealing with a disaster. An air disaster. I do not understand why the investigation was conducted so ineptly, and why to this day, the expert forensic medicine studies, gathered by the prosecution during the PiS government, conducted by truly world-class experts, have not yet been reflected in the documentation - stated Jacek Siewiera on TVN24's "Kropka nad i".

20:32

Tomczyk on Macierewicz:

He Should Resign His Parliamentary Mandate and End Up in the Dustbin of History. What He Did Was a Crime Against the Nation.
- This side of the political scene is incapable of facing the truth, and Macierewicz today should not only lose the Order of the White Eagle, because that is obvious, he should above all resign his parliamentary mandate, he should end up in the dustbin of history and he should never dig himself out from there - said Cezary Tomczyk on TVP Info. - What Macierewicz did with his people is a crime against the Polish nation because he has pitted the nation against itself - he continued.

20:32

Siewiera on the subcommittee's work and the NIAR issue:

It does not align with the seriousness of conducting scientific research.

- Indeed, the NIAR report is one of the aspects presented in the Ministry of National Defence (MON) report, and the issue concerns how these materials were prepared. The president, in his statement, accurately described the work on the Smoleńsk disaster and its causes, saying that prosecutorial actions, as the matter hinges on the number of reports filed with the prosecutor's office, should focus, among other things, on determining whether the subcommittee's actions were justified and what their purpose was - stated Jacek Siewiera on TVN24's "Kropka nad i".

- If irregularities occurred, they must be explained. Regarding the issue of NIAR, which stands for the National Institute of Aviation Research in the USA, our main ally, it is a research institution. A significant portion of these analyses, reports, and studies were scientific in nature. As a scientist, I must state that what is contained in the report, the methodology of work described therein, if it is true, does not align at all with the seriousness of conducting scientific research - the head of the National Security Bureau (BBN) continued.

- I am referring to how the subcommittee worked. If the material contained in the report presented by MON is true, and it also forms the basis for the report to the prosecutor's office, then regarding the research and the methodology of scientific research that were supposed to be the subject of these expert opinions, this material truly does not align with the principles of conducting research - he added.

20:37

Tomczyk on What Will Be Presented at the Conference Regarding the Work of the Commission on Russian Influence:

Devastating, Crushing.
- Devastating, crushing, in my opinion, yes. Of course, it all depends on the scope that will be presented - said Cezary Tomczyk on TVP Info, when asked if what will be presented at the conference regarding the work of the commission on Russian influence will be devastating. - There are elements that, like the operational activities of the services, should always remain somewhat in the shadows. It is important that the conclusions are presented to the public and that these are details - he continued.

20:43

Tomczyk on Duda and the reports sent to him:

Maybe his government deceived him, but Tusk’s government won’t.
- It’s not as if this report [concerning the actions of the Smoleńsk subcommittee] is simply a report prepared now by the ministry. A huge part of this report, perhaps about a quarter in terms of content, results from operational intelligence from Polish special services, which was handed over to Minister Błaszczak’s desk - Cezary Tomczyk said on TVP Info.

- 11 reports from the Military Counterintelligence Service landed on his desk. Yesterday, I also sent these reports to President Andrzej Duda. Maybe his government deceived him, but Donald Tusk’s government certainly won’t. He has the right to this knowledge - he continued.
