Bocheński on the Merger of PiS with Sovereign Poland:

Technically Accepting a State That Factually Existed.

- There is some truth in what the editor is saying regarding the technicality of this merger, because the United Right, through 8 years of governing together, cooperated very closely, and these boundaries have blurred. Just as they are currently blurring within the Left, within that group, or in Civic Coalition (KO). A great many KO voters are not aware that PO and Modern still exist. All of this has faded, and after 8 years of our governance, it has also faded. So, in a sense, it was a technical acceptance of a state that factually existed, and now formally also exists – stated Tobiasz Bocheński on the program "Rozmowa Piaseckiego" on TVN24.

Bocheński: By Incorporating Sovereign Poland, PiS Gains a Stronger Right-Wing Faction

- I would set aside the issue of burdens and look at the spectrum of views, in terms of who represents what. In effect, by incorporating Sovereign Poland, PiS gains a stronger right-wing faction, because Sovereign Poland, for example, compared to me, expresses views much further to the right, but that's good. Thanks to this, the spectrum of views within PiS broadens, but this doesn't mean that individuals who are more centrist will cease their participation in the discourse – he added.

08:14

Bocheński on the Inclusion of Sovereign Poland into Law and Justice:

I Would Like This Palette of Views to Exist.
I would like Law and Justice to be a party with different shades and different views, different sensitivities, in which certain programs are refined and both wings are taken into account, both the centrist [Law and Justice] and the one more to the right [Sovereign Poland]. And it is possible, most difficult on matters of worldview, easiest on economic matters or administrative matters, building the state, and I would like this palette of views to exist – said Tobiasz Bocheński on TVN24.

08:18

Ziobro Publishes Photos:

Let Everyone See What a Deceitful, Hypocritical, and Vengeful Cheat You Are.

- When I got sick, you unleashed haters to lie that I invented my illness because I was afraid of the investigation committee. Because of you, Donald Tusk, I had to publicly reveal my terminal illness, and my young children learned about my malignant cancer. Now you have engineered an opinion and are spreading the lie that I have been healthy for a long time, and that I made up my serious surgery and its complications. I have no choice - let everyone see what a deceitful, hypocritical, and vengeful cheat you are! - wrote Zbigniew Ziobro on social media.

- There is no civilized country where a prime minister would order such barbaric persecution of his political opponents - he emphasized.

08:18

Bodnar on the Suspension of Asylum Rights:

I Express My Views and Take Action within the Government.
- I am aware of that statement [by Donald Tusk regarding the temporary, territorial suspension of asylum rights]. I am also aware of the comments directed at me. However, I would also like to emphasize that I am a member of the Council of Ministers and, above all, the principle that binds me is to express my views and take action within the Council of Ministers - said Adam Bodnar in an interview with Dominika Wielowieyska on TOK FM Morning.

- Secondly, they should primarily concern the sphere that falls within my competences, i.e., the Ministry of Justice and the functioning of the prosecutor's office - he added.

08:31

Bodnar:

Finding a Golden Mean Between Border Protection and Human Rights Commitments
- I am aware of the constitutional constraints. The constraints are that the government is responsible for the safety of its citizens, the inviolability of its borders, public order, as well as the observance of human rights - said Adam Bodnar on TOK FM Morning. "On the one hand, gigantic pressure and hybrid warfare. On the other, constitutional and international obligations" As the Minister of Justice stated: - We are in a very difficult situation, where on the one hand we have gigantic pressure, which is a consequence of hybrid warfare, we have a threat to the sense of security. I receive these demands that regaining control over what is happening in the context of migration policy is important. - However, on the other hand, we have constitutional and international legal obligations. We have Article 56 of the Constitution, which speaks of the right to asylum, we have the Geneva Convention, and we also have what is generally called the observance of European values; the right to asylum is also enshrined in the Charter of Fundamental Rights - he pointed out. "A golden mean must be found" - A golden mean must be found between what is postulated in the context of border protection and what arises from international obligations - he stated. When it was pointed out that he was "avoiding an answer," he replied: - I am not avoiding it, I am simply waiting for the details. As I understand it, a migration strategy will be proposed, where this is one of the elements, and we will see what is actually understood by this slogan that appeared at the convention.

08:38

Bodnar on the Right to Asylum:

I Would Like to Talk with Ministers Duszczyk and Siemoniak.
- I would like to talk with Minister Duszczyk, who is responsible for [the migration strategy], and with Minister Siemoniak. As I understand from the announcements, this is a topic we will address at the Council of Ministers. And I think this is the forum where I should discuss these matters - said Adam Bodnar on Poranek TOK FM. - However, I emphasize that these constitutional values, especially Article 56, are not insignificant for the analysis of this proposed solution [by the Prime Minister] - he stressed.

08:44

Bodnar:

MP Żukowska speaks out, but I haven't yet seen an official stance from the entire club
- This is an interesting political method, I would put it that way. That it is MP [Anna-Maria Żukowska] who speaks out, but at the same time, I haven't yet seen any official position from the entire parliamentary club. It is also interesting that, in a sense, I am being drawn into some attempt at a political discussion - Adam Bodnar said on TOK FM Morning. - I am, I emphasize, a member of the Council of Ministers, and I am bound by the rules of procedure of the Council of Ministers. I should express any doubts, first and foremost, within the forum of the Council of Ministers - he explained. - I emphasize again that these are issues [concerning human rights, including the right to asylum] that are important and significant to me - he stressed.

08:47

Patryk Jaki on the Merger of PiS and SP:

We Have Our Strengths as a Group.

- The pooling of resources is also important. It is indeed true that we have our strengths as a group, and PiS has its strengths. Generally, we have one of the youngest parliamentary groups, but also councilors, if you look at it, many very active city and provincial councilors, etc., throughout Poland - stated Patryk Jaki in a conversation with Renata Grochal on PR3.

08:48

Jaki:

Banned from TVN for years, and previously from TVP

- We've learned to function without traditional media, through social media. This is also due to, not only age censorship, but also the fact that during our governance, we were often discriminated against. For example, I've been banned from TVN for several years, and there was a time when I was banned from TVP - stated Patryk Jaki on the program "Bez uników" (No Evasions) on PR3.

08:51

Siemoniak on Suspending the Right to Asylum:

There Are Very Serious Arguments.
- There are very serious arguments in favor of precisely such a tool; these are arguments, and I happen to have more knowledge here, from the area of state security and threats. This is not just a political discussion [...] we have information regarding what might happen, what threats might emerge, and that asylum, the right to asylum, is being used instrumentally, there is no doubt about that - said Tomasz Siemoniak in an interview with Bogdan Rymanowski on the program "Gość Radia ZET," when asked about suspending the right to asylum. - This requires a change to two laws and then ordinances of the Council of Ministers introduced for a limited time depending on the situation, so I am calming down all those who fear that some law might be violated here; that is not true - he continued.

08:52

Jaki on the Presidential Election:

I Have Expressed My Readiness.

- I have expressed my readiness [to run in the presidential election], but ultimately the PiS authorities and various polls currently being conducted will decide. However, I am indeed a proponent of a slightly different concept than what is currently being pushed. Today, the idea is that it should be a new person. For example, one of the candidates being considered [Karol Nawrocki] - stated Patryk Jaki on the PR3 program "Bez uników" (Without Evasions).

- It's hard to say [if he has the best chance], but I believe he is indeed among the new politicians, though generally I have a slightly different approach. I believe there are other ways to win. That is to say, not to hide, in the sense of not distancing oneself even symbolically from our governments, but rather to try to put forward someone in the campaign who can defend them, disenchant people with them, using the fact that a large part of people who are not interested in politics today will be interested during the campaign - he continued.

08:56

Siemoniak on the Idea of Suing the Migration Pact at the CJEU:

We're Going a Different Way.
- We are going a different way. Donald Tusk said this on Saturday, that if anything threatens Poland's security within this pact, it simply won't be applied. The CJEU is not the place where such serious security dilemmas are resolved, so with full awareness, because the deadline passed in August, we decided there was no point in suing over it – Tomasz Siemoniak said on Radio ZET, when asked why the migration pact was not challenged at the CJEU. - The outcome of such a challenge is uncertain, and we aim to protect Poland's security through our own national decisions as well – he continued.

08:59

Jaki on Ziobro's Presence at the Investigative Committee:

I Don't Know What He'll Do. I Think He's Considering It.

- I don't know if he will come [Zbigniew Ziobro to the investigative committee session], but I would seriously consider whether to come, because this committee is operating illegally. I remind you that there is a Constitutional Tribunal ruling which shows that it is operating illegally. It is operating with an incorrect composition. I don't know what he will ultimately do. I think he is considering it - stated Patryk Jaki in the program "Bez uników" (No Evasions) on PR3.

09:03

Siemoniak on Foreigner Integration Centers:

The PiS Government's Project Must Be Continued.
- This is an initiative from the PiS government's time; in 2021, Deputy Minister Szwed from PiS signed agreements for the first foreigner integration centers. Funds were requested from the European Union, the European Union granted these funds, and I can say somewhat maliciously that given how many foreigners entered Poland without any control, the visa scandal, etc., state actions must be organized in some way - said Tomasz Siemoniak on Radio ZET, when asked about foreigner integration centers. - I'm not even mentioning that the money from the EU has been granted and this project, the PiS government's project, and I'm saying this very clearly, simply must be continued - he continued.

09:05

Bodnar on the Gajewska case and donation:

Perhaps there was a mistake, an oversight. Intentions are important.
- It is difficult for me to say how the prosecution, the Sejm services, will approach this matter [of Kinga Gajewska]. I am aware [that her husband, Arkadiusz Myrcha, is the Deputy Minister of Justice], of course I also read these comments - said Adam Bodnar in TOK FM Morning. - However, it seems to me that what is missing from these media statements is that Mr. Mejza has a whole series of other charges related to a certain unclear origin of the funds he possesses, which were subsequently not included in his financial disclosure - he continued. - It seems to me that in this case [of Kinga Gajewska], perhaps no one has doubts that it was a donation from her parents and that perhaps there was a simple, ordinary mistake, an oversight, some issue where someone might have forgotten. It is difficult for me to assess this - he noted. - However, I think that intentions in this situation are important and may influence the assessment of the entire situation - he indicated.

09:10

Siemoniak on the Number of Immigrants with Rejected Asylum Applications in Poland:

Around 20,000 People.
- It's around 20,000 people, this number naturally fluctuates, but it's in that ballpark - said Tomasz Siemoniak on Radio ZET, when asked about the number of immigrants whose asylum applications have been rejected. - [They are] in Border Guard facilities - he continued.

09:14

Siemoniak:

We are monitoring the issue of organized crime appearing from abroad with the police
- This is not just a matter of illegal migrants, but also of those who have entered in recent years, who bought Polish visas. Of course, with the police, we are monitoring the issue of organized crime appearing from abroad. I am talking here about countries of the Caucasus or countries of Central Asia. The police are dealing with this very closely - said Tomasz Siemoniak on Radio ZET.

09:17

Hołownia:

No tactical goal should involve betraying one's values, as it ultimately leads to becoming 'the lesser evil'
The Prime Minister spoke as the leader of Civic Coalition at the Civic Coalition convention. The issues he raised do not constitute coalition agreements. They are not the stance and program of K15X, but of one of the coalition partners, Civic Coalition – Szymon Hołownia wrote on Facebook. - We maintain the position that the right to asylum is 'sacred' in international law and stems from conventions ratified by the Republic of Poland. Therefore, any suspension of it, including temporary and territorial suspension, would have to take place EXCLUSIVELY under conditions of extreme escalation of the situation (e.g., border breach) and EXCLUSIVELY under conditions of one of the states of emergency described in the Constitution of the Republic of Poland, namely a state of emergency or martial law (as their application in practice requires the consent and strict control of all state powers: the President, the government, and the parliament) and under the ongoing control of the Sejm. Certainly, such serious restrictions could not be applied as 'prevention' – emphasized the Marshal of the Sejm. As the leader of Poland 2050 wrote: - If the Prime Minister's words take the form of a law, we will submit appropriate amendments to it, provided, of course, that it has not been agreed upon within the government beforehand. We consistently maintain and stand by the position that security is absolutely paramount, but security does not exclude humanity. Furthermore, Marshal Hołownia wrote in a comment: - No tactical goal can involve betraying one's values, because it ends with us becoming 'the lesser evil'.

09:21

Sikorski or Trzaskowski as Civic Coalition's Presidential Candidate? Siemoniak on Who Has Better Chances
- I think that looking at the approach within the Civic Platform, within the Civic Coalition, and at the fact of who ran in 2020, it is Rafał Trzaskowski, but nothing is better in politics than a bit of competition, so I really like it, even this stream of comments which, in my opinion, is unjustified, but sees some rivalry here - said Tomasz Siemoniak on Radio ZET, when asked who has a better chance of running in the presidential election, Rafał Trzaskowski or Radosław Sikorski. - I expect that in December - he continued, when asked when the decision would be made on who would be the candidate.

09:27

Siemoniak on the Civil Defence Act:

I Count on This Procedure Being Concluded by Year-End.
- Based on my conversations with MPs [...] it emerges that this very large and difficult act is intended to be passed by the Sejm in November. I count on this entire procedure being concluded by the end of the year - said Tomasz Siemoniak on Radio ZET, when asked when the Civil Defence Act would be passed.

09:29

Sienkiewicz on Criticism of Tusk's Announcement:

Human Rights Circles Are People Detached from Reality.
- The criticism [of Prime Minister Donald Tusk's announcement regarding the temporary suspension of the right to asylum] has made a huge impression on me, primarily the degree of manipulation and hypocrisy we have witnessed over the last 20-odd hours – said Bartłomiej Sienkiewicz in an interview with Marcin Fijołek in Polsat News' 'Graffiti'. - Critics refer to the UN Geneva Convention as if they didn't know that Article 9 exists, which speaks of national security and allows for the suspension of certain refugee rights – he indicated. - If we have people flying to Belarus on planes from Dubai, trained by Belarusians and Russians, and then being moved to the Polish border, then surely this is a security threat, right? I mean, do we need to have two tanks from Russia in Białystok for us to say: 'Ah, this is the moment when we can suspend [the right to asylum]?' – he asked. 'A False, Emotional Tone of Moral Outrage.' Sienkiewicz Attacks the Head of Amnesty International - This false, emotional tone of moral outrage – an example for me is what the head of Amnesty International, Ms. Anna Błaszczak-Banasiak, said, that 'seeking a better life in the EU is not a crime that should be punished by the death penalty in the Polish forest.' Well, I'm sorry, but this is the degree of […] populism, of rhetoric that has gone completely off the rails – he assessed. 'These Are People Completely Detached from Reality' As he emphasized: - The kind of manipulation and hypocrisy that human rights circles have demonstrated in the last 24 hours is unprecedented. It only confirms that these are people completely detached from reality.

09:48

PiS Launches Signature Drive for Referendum on Illegal Migration
- Donald Tusk says today that he will fight against illegal migration, but he only says this when he wants to overshadow his problems, and his primary problem is the fact that the state budget has fallen apart, which is why he is activating the 'migration' protocol. He is completely unbelievable - said Mariusz Błaszczak at a press conference. - Law and Justice says 'we're calling Donald Tusk's bluff', so from today we are starting to collect signatures for a referendum project, a citizens' referendum on illegal migration. We are opposed to illegal immigration, we believe that illegal migration means a security threat, both personal and economic. We see the consequences of migration in Western Europe - he continued. - MP Dominik Tarczyński will be the plenipotentiary for the referendum initiative. From today, in every parliamentary and senatorial office of Law and Justice, it will be possible to submit signatures for the referendum [project]. We need to collect over 500,000 such signatures - he added.

09:51

Sienkiewicz on the Presidential Election:

It's Not Tidy, We Have Someone to Lose To.
- Absolutely not [it's not 'tidy' regarding the presidential election]. Of course, yes [we have someone to lose to] - said Bartłomiej Sienkiewicz on Polsat News' "Graffiti". - I don't look at those polls that talk about support for one candidate or another. […] The most interesting polls are those that don't directly relate to politics. And there, one thing is clear: Poles are divided in half. This is a very deep division skillfully built by PiS, by PiS television - he continued. - This shows that these elections are not about some gigantic advantage for one side. The elections will be elections where the difference will be small. And we are approaching them with deadly seriousness - he stated.

09:54

Błaszczak:

The Armed Forces Support Fund is Dead
- Donald Tusk's declarations that there would be no limits on defense financing were another lie, because in both this year's budget and next year's budget, I assume, the Armed Forces Support Fund, which is the fundamental mechanism for modernizing the Polish army, will not be filled - Mariusz Błaszczak said at a press conference. - So, on paper, everything looks good, but in practice, the Armed Forces Support Fund is dead, which means that the draft budget for next year essentially includes the same figures as foreseen in this year's budget. And this year's budget is already under threat, because revenues will be lower by over 40 billion zlotys, as directly stated in the Ministry of Finance documents - he continued.

10:02

Sienkiewicz:

Ziobro is playing the victim and whimpering for pity. It's embarrassing
- I am not eagerly awaiting any action from Minister Ziobro. I am calmly waiting for Minister Ziobro to one day stand before justice, an independent court, and answer why a fund intended for compensation to people mutilated and harmed by criminals was the party slush fund of Solidarna Polska - said Bartłomiej Sienkiewicz in Polsat News's 'Graffiti'. - No photo from a hospital makes me shed a tear, especially towards Minister Ziobro, who promoted to the highest honors a prosecutor who once interrogated a woman giving birth in a hospital. Who organized such a witch hunt against Roman Giertych that when Giertych was in the hospital, unconscious, the prosecutor almost forcibly demanded his interrogation - he continued. - Now Minister Ziobro is playing the victim and crying over his fate. Either there is law, or there is no law. An expert witness appointed by an independent court says: healthy, can testify. And Minister Ziobro is currently scratching his wounds and whimpering for pity. It's embarrassing - he assessed.

10:03

Ziobro Fails to Appear Before Pegasus Investigative Committee

- I state that the witness Zbigniew Ziobro has not appeared as summoned by the committee. Zbigniew Ziobro was effectively informed of the date set for today. I understand the emotional posts and publications, but we are basing ourselves on the Act on Investigative Committees and the Code of Criminal Procedure, which is why today, as a committee, we must develop a decision regarding further proceedings in this matter - stated Magdalena Sroka during the session of the investigative committee on Pegasus.

10:20

Ziobro Interrogated: Investigative Committee Files Lawsuit and Announces New Hearing Date

The Pegasus Investigative Committee has voted to file a request with the District Court to impose a penalty on Zbigniew Ziobro for failing to appear for his interrogation. As announced by committee chairwoman Magdalena Sroka, a new date for the interrogation will be announced shortly – within November.

10:34

Sroka Sets New Date for Ziobro's Hearing
- We will, of course, proceed according to the procedure. The Act on the Parliamentary Investigation Committee, as well as the Code of Criminal Procedure, clearly indicate the path of our proceedings. Therefore, another date for Zbigniew Ziobro's hearing will be set for November 4 - said Magdalena Sroka at a press conference. As Tomasz Trela noted: - If he does not come, there will be another one. But this will be the last time we summon him here. Then Mr. Zbigniew Ziobro, adhering to all procedures consistent with the Code of Criminal Procedure, will be brought before the investigation committee, just like any other citizen who does not adhere to the rules that apply to them. - Undoubtedly, we are dealing with a game of emotions that politicians from Suwerenna Polska have been trying to employ for months. [...] No one questions the illness here, [...] the [expert's] opinion, however, is unequivocal, it states directly: Zbigniew Ziobro can appear before the committee - emphasized the head of the investigation committee. - Zbigniew Ziobro [...] should be perfectly aware that he can, and indeed has an obligation in such a situation, to send an appropriate medical certificate to the committee if his health condition changes and does not allow him to appear before the committee today. However, no such documents have been received - she stated.

10:46

Trela:

If Ziobro Publishes Photos, Let Him Publish Current Ones, Not From the Beginning of His Illness
- We would expect that Mr. Zbigniew Ziobro, if he is publishing any photographs at all, would publish current ones, not from the initial stage of his illness, from his hospital stay. Perhaps Mr. Zbigniew Ziobro would share with the public how he walked around a shopping mall a few days ago? Perhaps Mr. Zbigniew Ziobro would publish photos of how he prepared for television interviews on a pro-PiS television channel? Or perhaps Mr. Zbigniew Ziobro would publish photos of himself typing tweets every day that insult and attack members of the October 15 coalition? - said Tomasz Trela at a press conference.

10:53

Romanowski Confirms He Will Appear at the Prosecutor's Office:

Hard to Call This an Interrogation.

- It's hard to call this an interrogation, because we are dealing with an illegally taken over prosecutor's office. Of course, I received an invitation to the National Prosecutor's Office, so I will, of course, show up - stated Marcin Romanowski in a conversation with journalists in the Sejm.

10:54

Zandberg:

Tusk's Government Has a New Enemy – Human Rights Defenders

- And here is the new enemy of Tusk's government: human rights defenders. Just in time for the anniversary of October 15th – wrote Adrian Zandberg.

14:36

Tusk:

I'm glad the East Shield is truly getting underway
- This visit of ours here with Prime Minister Kosiniak-Kamysz, its primary goal is to emphasize how important what you are doing here is for the entire government, but I think I can say, for the entire nation - stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk during exercises testing elements for the construction of the East Shield. - I am glad that the East Shield is truly getting underway. This is a joint undertaking, not only Polish, because it is connected with the efforts of the Baltic states concerning the Baltic defense line, Finland. I am also glad that it has already become a fact that the British are cooperating with us on the East Shield, and the Americans are ready. It was also good to hear from the general that for these elements, including those of so-called dual use, a lot of infrastructure will also have a civilian character, useful for people living in these border areas with Belarus, with Russia, and also partly with Lithuania, that there will be European funds for this as well, and not just from a few countries - the head of government continued. - I will also discuss this in Brussels in the coming days and weeks, and I will explain the Polish specificity with Ukraine burning at our border, with this border constantly attacked by groups of illegal migrants, organized and supported by the special services of Belarus - PDT emphasized.

15:24

Kosiniak-Kamysz on "East Shield" as a "Government Priority"

- The national deterrence and defense program, the East Shield, is a priority for our government, for our coalition. Moreover, the first paragraphs of the coalition agreement are about the security of our homeland, defense, building community, strength in alliances, and a modernized army being the fundamental goal. This is our land, this is our homeland, we will defend every inch, every centimeter of the Republic; this is our task, this is our commitment – stated Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz at a press conference.

- We are testing today, here and now, because we do not want to repeat the mistakes of our predecessors. They did not test the effectiveness of the barrier, and today we are repairing this barrier that protects against bandits trying to enter the territory of the Republic. This is happening, the Ministry of Interior and Administration, Minister Siemoniak, is implementing the strengthening of the physical barrier to prevent its crossing, but that would not be enough if we did not decide to build the East Shield – he added.

15:24

Kosiniak-Kamysz on the East Shield:

It's Designed to Deter Opponents.

- This is a multi-stage action, planned for the years 2024-2028, which will involve at least 10 billion zlotys. It is a system of fortifications and actions aimed at stopping the opponent, adversary, enemy, as close to the border as possible — Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz said at a press conference.

- The East Shield is designed to deter the opponent, so that no one ever thinks of attacking Poland, of attacking the eastern flank. That's why we will build it, we will accelerate its construction — he added.

15:59

Tusk on Border Security:

It Will Not Be a Subject of Negotiation.
- It is our right and our duty to protect the Polish and European border. Its security will not be a subject of negotiation. With anyone. It is a task to be accomplished. And my government will accomplish this task - Prime Minister Donald Tusk wrote on Twitter.

18:25

Hołownia:

No Health Contribution on Fixed Assets. It was an idiocy crying out to heaven
- The issue of fixed assets is entirely closed for us and there is no discussion. From January, there will be no health contribution on fixed assets because it was an idiocy crying out to heaven in its foolishness. You sell a car and you have to pay a health contribution for it. Does that car go to an ENT specialist? - said Szymon Hołownia at a meeting with residents of Kraśnik.

18:30

Hołownia on 4 Billion PLN for Health Contribution Reduction:

If the Government Doesn't Allocate It in the Budget, We Will Block the Bill.
- There is a public promise from Minister Domański that for the entirety of this package, meaning fixed assets and relief for sole proprietorships and SMEs, we have 4 billion zlotys for next year. And we will hold this declaration to account. It seems it's not impossible for us to reach an agreement on this matter - said Szymon Hołownia during a meeting with residents of Kraśnik. - The minister said "4 billion" in the Sejm, so if the government doesn't provide it in the budget, we will block the bill to check if the Minister of Finance was telling the truth - he continued. - Will 4 billion be enough? No, it won't be enough. Because a real reform of the health contribution would probably cost [...] tens of billions. But can we afford to carry that burden in next year's budget today? No - he went on to say.

18:34

Hołownia:

I'm Not Some Anti-PiS Thug
- I'm not some anti-PiS thug; I genuinely work with both the opposition and the government. Of course, I'm on the government's side, not the opposition's, but you won't see me running around with spit on my face in a frenzy, hunting down PiS members, or doing other such things because that's not my nature, and besides, I like people - said Szymon Hołownia at a meeting with residents of Kraśnik. - However, if you look at what has happened over the past few years, listen, there was no amount that some people from that side wouldn't stoop to pick up - he continued.

18:36

Hołownia:

We Haven't Fulfilled Our Healthcare Promises
- If anyone asks me if we have fulfilled our healthcare promises, no, we have not fulfilled them, and that is something we must do in the next three years, because otherwise people will carry us out on wheelbarrows - said Szymon Hołownia at a meeting with the residents of Kraśnik.

19:06

Hołownia:

Poland Can Become a Local, Global Powerhouse
- France is facing a very serious political leadership crisis, Germany too, Slovakia too. What does this mean for Poland? It means Poland's chances are growing, Poland's position is strengthening, Poland can become a local, global powerhouse - said Szymon Hołownia at a meeting with residents of Kraśnik.

19:12

"We Should Err on the Side of Caution": Duszczyk Announces Extraordinary Measures to Combat Illegal Migration

- Indeed, I am the coordinator of the work that has also been carried out within several ministries, in order to make this strategy, this project of the strategy, very strongly inter-ministerial. An inter-ministerial team for migration is also working on it. However, one of the elements that has been included in this strategy, which was not actually present a few weeks ago, is the temporary suspension of the right to asylum – stated Maciej Duszczyk on RMF FM.

- However, recent events and scenarios that are potentially possible in the future allow us to conclude that such an extraordinary, absolutely exceptionally applied solution should appear in Polish legislation, in Polish laws, so that we can "err on the side of caution". If a situation arises that threatens Poland's security, we should have a scenario ready, not invent it on the fly – the Deputy Minister of the Interior and Administration continued.

- These are amendments to two laws: the Act on the Protection of Foreigners in Poland and the Act on Foreigners. Based on the parliamentary debate in the Sejm and Senate, and the President's signature, a consensus must be reached here on how to do this, under what conditions this [suspension of the right to asylum] can occur. Then, a regulation of the Council of Ministers or any other form that will be adopted through parliamentary work, so that everything is in accordance with the law – he added.

Hołownia Proposes a Solution for German Reparations:

This is My Opinion, I Haven't Consulted it with Tusk.
- This is my opinion, I haven't consulted it with Tusk, because we don't have to consult everything within the coalition, but this is my view and I will defend it. Today we should tell the Germans: you must contribute to our defense - said Szymon Hołownia at a meeting with the residents of Kraśnik.

- Today we are spending almost 200 billion zlotys from our hard-earned money to defend the eastern border of the European Union. Let's create a National Defence Fund and within the framework of these "reparations" or whatever we call them, contribute a truly substantial sum, in many billions of euros, so that we can alleviate our budget today, buy tanks, buy planes, build the East Shield, do these numerous things that we need, and in the end, it is still an investment not only in our security, but in our common European security - he continued.

- In my conversations with my German partners, I put forward such a vision for solving this problem: you started the war then, help make sure there is no war in Europe, that war does not enter Europe - he went on to say.

Hołownia on the Case of Father Olszewski:

Extending Temporary Custody Doesn't Serve the Sense of Justice.
- If Father Michał Olszewski swindled money, he should stand trial, answer for it, and be convicted. However, prolonging the proceedings and temporary custody does not serve citizens' sense of justice - said Szymon Hołownia at a meeting with residents of Kraśnik.

Sasin on the Results of State Treasury Companies' Inspections:

These Are Not Audits, But Political Documents.
- I will not discuss these audits seriously at all, because they are not audits, but political documents. […] Presumably [their authors are] those law firms that are offices of lawyers who have cooperated with Civic Platform for years. I have such knowledge on this matter, that this is indeed the case - said Jacek Sasin in an interview with Justyna Dobrosz-Oracz on TVP Info's “Question of the Day”. - I don't know how much anyone earned, because it is not the role of the Minister of State Assets to control the salaries of all employees in all State Treasury companies. All I know is that those in power criticized us during our time in government for high earnings in State Treasury companies, and today they are increasing these earnings for their party appointees - he argued.

Sasin:

When this government loses, we will conduct real audits in State Treasury companies
- Every day, the media report on party appointees in State Treasury companies. We will conduct real audits when this government loses and we return to power as PiS. Then we will have a true picture - said Jacek Sasin on TVP Info's "Question of the Day".

Sasin on Migration Policy:

Tusk Sharpens Stance Only in Words, Actions Speak Louder.
- Since Saturday, we've been trying to be convinced that [Donald Tusk] has changed his mind on this matter, even though he was always an enthusiast of migrant relocation […] The Prime Minister is sharpening his stance solely in words, while actions are another matter – said Jacek Sasin in TVP Info's “Question of the Day”. - I don't believe a single word Donald Tusk says, because Donald Tusk habitually lies on many issues and has lied to Poles many times. He is trying to distract attention from the enormous problems this government has, such as the huge budget deficit or what is happening in healthcare – he assessed.
