Sienkiewicz on PiS's Opposition to SAFE:
I'm Starting to Wonder if the Root Cause Isn't Rage That the Money Won't Fall Into Their Hands.
- If PiS is now protesting against SAFE, saying that this is unclear money, that it will be money for Germans, not for Poles, meaning they are already [...] playing the fool, yes, going into such an absolute lie, such a Macierewicz-style one, such a bottom-level one, turning the world upside down, then I'm starting to seriously wonder if the root cause of this emotion isn't simply rage that this money won't fall into their hands - said Bartłomiej Sienkiewicz in an interview with Marcin Fijołek on Polsat News's "Graffiti".
08:02
Zalewski on the SAFE Discussion:
An Idiotic Political Dispute.
- We are in a completely unprecedented situation because – and I will now use words I don't normally use in such debates, as I try to objectify things, but I will do so now – due to an idiotic political dispute – it has an idiotic character, it's not serious […] – we are discussing the most sensitive issues related to the modernization of the Polish army […], completely openly, informing everyone – including our adversaries – about what we are doing, proving that we are saints from the Pope, thus informing them about what we are ordering and in what quantities – said Paweł Zalewski in an interview with Dominika Wielowieyska on “Poranek TOK FM.”
- This is all abnormal. Over 80% of these orders will go to the Polish defense industry, which is fundamentally treated according to Mr. Bogucki's incorrect definition – and here I am referring to Polish companies with Polish capital. […] This is some kind of nitpicking and turning the whole project upside down right before the eyes of the Russians. This is an absolute scandal – he assessed.
08:03
Sienkiewicz on the SAFE Conditionality:
If You Want to Steal This Money, You'll Have to Return It and Answer for It.
"This conditionality has been defined by strict provisions, it's clear what it's about: if you want to steal this money, you'll have to return it and answer for it," Bartłomiej Sienkiewicz said on Polsat News.
"That's nonsense, meaning, the regulations regarding SAFE are regulations on how to set up credit systems for countries that join this project, and they are regulations akin to a trade agreement," he continued, when asked about the concerns of PiS politicians that the SAFE conditionality could be dangerous if the power in Poland shifts to one not expected by Brussels.
08:06
Zalewski on SAFE:
The President Received Our Order List and Knows Perfectly Well.
- I am deeply convinced that all aspects of this mechanism's [SAFE] functioning, concerning money from the European Union, how it's spent, interest rates, but also its purpose. Because the President received our order list and knows perfectly well. Similarly, members of parliament, who can take the trouble to go to the secret office in the Sejm and also find out, of course, under the conditions under which they can familiarize themselves with such documents - said Paweł Zalewski in "Poranek TOK FM".
- So the President and the National Security Bureau, I have a deep conviction, know everything. If they don't know something, we are ready to inform the President about it at any moment - he stated.
08:10
Sienkiewicz:
PiS Wants to Embrace Braun, Becoming a Party Aiming to Lead Poland Out of Europe
- PiS wants to embrace Braun and wants to embrace the Confederation, and is seriously becoming an anti-European party that wants to lead Poland out of Europe - Bartłomiej Sienkiewicz said on Polsat News.
- I don't believe a single one of Kaczyński's assurances, just like Macierewicz was not supposed to be Minister of Defence and became so, or how Kaczyński swore years ago that if his brother became president, he certainly wouldn't become prime minister, meaning, there is a certain continuity, meaning, not a single one of Kaczyński's assurances can be believed, because he has always broken them all - he continued, when asked about Jarosław Kaczyński's assurances in which he rules out an alliance with Grzegorz Braun.
- The fact that he is now swearing he will have nothing to do with Braun is dubious, especially since the whole SAFE story is nothing more than an attempt to get closer to Braun in language and narrative. There are evil Germans and an evil European Union, and we should leave it [...] there is a good Trump somewhere, and amidst all this, Russia disappears - he went on to say.
08:11
Przydacz asked if Nawrocki should listen to Kaczyński:
In principle, the president has his mandate.
- In some matters, of course, it is certainly necessary to talk, but in principle, the president has his mandate, so no - stated Marcin Przydacz on Radio Zet, when asked by Bogdan Rymanowski whether the president should listen to the leader of PiS.
08:11
Zalewski:
I Want a Strong Centrist Proposition for the 2027 Elections
- I have often operated in similar conditions, meaning I was unaffiliated, but I always had a goal, and that goal remains the same. It is to bring about a situation where a strong, robust centrist proposition, with much better foundations than the Third Way, which I also co-created, emerges for the 2027 elections - Paweł Zalewski said in "Poranek TOK FM".
- I think that around these formations or environments that exist today, that are not yet known. And certainly, the key partner will be the PSL, which has such a centrist program and is interested in strengthening the Polish political scene by building a strong centrist formation - he continued.
- Prime Minister Kosiniak-Kamysz has proven this many times already. So I am very pleased that this is a predictable and serious partner. But we certainly also need the more liberal part of this centrist camp - he noted.
08:12
- I don't know [if Karol Nawrocki will sign the SAFE Act], that's the President's decision. He hasn't made such a decision at this stage, the bill hasn't even left parliament. Therefore, waiting for a decision is premature, as we don't know which final Senate amendments will be accepted and which won't. There are many question marks, so at this stage, we should wait. Everything is possible - stated Marcin Przydacz on Radio Zet
08:19
Zalewski:
Let those who accuse me of being in several parties look in the mirror truthfully
- Let those who today accuse me of being in several parties, because that's what we're really talking about, as in the very beginning of the 90s, parties simply merged and formed new ones, and that was my path as a centrist politician back then. However, let those who today accuse me of being an independent MP look in the mirror truthfully, leave PiS or Konfederacja, and start working for Polish security, not for Russian interests. I sincerely wish this to all those who throw such accusations at me - said Paweł Zalewski on "Poranek TOK FM".
08:19
Sienkiewicz on the Prime Minister Nominee:
An Attempt to Impose Someone Who Is a Reference Point Because Kaczyński Found Them Will Not Succeed.
- One thing is clear: the future candidate for Prime Minister of Poland, after a potential, in my opinion unlikely, victory of PiS with other right-wing organizations, will be determined and agreed upon by the coalition, not by Jarosław Kaczyński - Bartłomiej Sienkiewicz told Polsat News.
- Either it will be Konfederacja, or it will be Konfederacja with Braun, or it will be something else - he continued.
- An attempt to impose someone at this moment who is a political reference point because Jarosław Kaczyński found them, in my opinion, will not succeed - he added.
08:27
Sienkiewicz on Confederation of the Polish Crown:
Every Election We Have Parties Like That, They Always End the Same Way, Like Third Way or Kukiz.
- I think, and partly confirmed by polls, that the majority of Mr. Braun's voters are not enthusiasts of his antisemitism, complete madness about religion, and a few other extreme things. They are for Braun because he is a battering ram for them, meant to destroy the system - said Bartłomiej Sienkiewicz in Polsat News, when asked about the phenomenon of Grzegorz Braun.
- In Polish politics, in elections, and in Polish elections, there is a socially established custom that every election we have 10% of anti-system opposition [...] to destroy everything, to build anew, etc., and this is an advantage of Polish democracy, it's not a closed cauldron, but rather every election we have such a 10% - he continued.
- These are not poor people, it's the middle class that simply feels partly run over, unheard, and therefore frustration grows among them, and they are looking for such a battering ram to smash it all. Every election we have parties like that - he went on to say.
- This might be a key part; before, there was Confederation [...] they all always end the same way. More or less, they end up like Third Way, or Kukiz - he added, when asked if this could be a key part of the electorate.
08:37
Przydacz on Nuclear Sharing:
Sikorski Has Done Nothing for Two Years.
- That's what the Nuclear Sharing program is for. For two years, we've been publicly saying that we need to start talking to the Americans about this, and what is Minister Sikorski's response? He says: quiet, quiet, we'll do it behind closed doors in our offices, and for two years he's done nothing, at least nothing has reached the Presidential Chancellery to move anything forward on this matter - stated Marcin Przydacz on Radio Zet.
08:38
Przydacz on Czarzasty:
Grandfather Frost
- For two years now, a resolution in the Sejm calling on the government to take action regarding Nuclear Sharing has been frozen by "Grandfather Frost," meaning the Marshal of the Sejm. If NATO's nuclear capabilities were deployed here, this umbrella would certainly be much more effective - stated Marcin Przydacz on Radio Zet.
08:39
Przydacz on the Ambassadorial Agreement:
Everything Depends on Sikorski.
- I believe there will be [an agreement on ambassadors]. From our side, there is full openness; everything depends on Minister Sikorski, whether he wants to continue the conflict or not - stated Marcin Przydacz on Radio Zet.
08:41
Sienkiewicz:
I'm a Skeptic Regarding the Possibility of Peace in Ukraine
- I am a skeptic when it comes to the possibility of peace in Ukraine; I have the impression that we will be dealing with a creeping war, perhaps not as intense, but one that will be punctuated by successive, short-term para-agreements - said Bartłomiej Sienkiewicz on Polsat News.
08:47
Przydacz:
It's time to finally end the destabilization that judicial rebels have been causing for years
- I truly believe it's time to finally end this destabilization that judicial rebels have been causing for several years. Judges associated with certain organizations have rebelled against the Polish state. Every democratic state operates based on law, statutes, and the Constitution. There is a possibility to change these laws, but the government is unable to implement it - stated Marcin Przydacz on Radio Zet.
09:49
Grabiec on PiS's 'Coal Scandal':
The Crisis Became an Opportunity to Rob Poland.
- We are meeting here today to present you with detailed information regarding the coal scandal, a coal scandal that began here, in this building, through decisions made by the former Prime Minister, Mr. Mateusz Morawiecki - said Jan Grabiec at a press conference.
- We all remember 2022, a time when, as a result of the embargo on Russian coal, it turned out that Poles had no coal. Despite the capabilities of our mines, the government did not prepare Poland for the introduction of the embargo on Russian coal, and it turned out that a process of panicked searching for coal resources around the world began - he continued.
- This crisis [...] became an opportunity for a scam, for a grand grab for cash, for actually robbing Poland, the state budget, the State Treasury of huge sums, and the effect of this action is immense confusion, the consequences of which we feel to this day - he went on to say.
- The first aspect is the purchase of coal itself, which was carried out by the Prime Minister's decision, both by Polish coal companies, which, instead of focusing on extracting Polish coal, imported coal from all over the world, and by the Government Strategic Reserves Agency - he added.
- By the Prime Minister's decision, the Government Strategic Reserves Agency was to import 750,000 tons of coal. It turned out that this coal was not suitable for individual use by those to whom this coal was supposed to go, and it is essentially lying in warehouses paid for by the Government Strategic Reserves Agency to this day - he pointed out.
09:50
Grabiec:
PKP Cargo's Crisis Stems from Coal Decisions
- The second act of this drama related to the coal affair is the coal decision implemented by PKP Cargo. [...] The source of this company's crisis is precisely these coal decisions - said Jan Grabiec at a press conference.
- The Prime Minister then obligated [...] PKP Cargo to terminate its existing contracts with suppliers and to transport primarily coal for the next year, a few months. As a result of this decision, PKP Cargo estimates it lost over one and a half billion zlotys and has not recovered these funds to this day - he continued.
- Today, if you hear about necessary transformations, layoffs, and PKP Cargo's troubles, the source of these problems lies precisely in the coal decision - he further stated.
09:59
- The 'coal scandal' of Mr. Morawiecki's government is a fact. Last week, the Government Strategic Reserves Agency decided to file a report on the possibility of a criminal offense in this regard, concerning the incurrence of losses of gigantic proportions - said Marcin Kierwiński at a press conference.
- This is likely not the last report in this matter; today it will probably be supplemented to include other individuals, potentially other persons, who may have been involved in this procedure - he continued.
10:10
Kierwiński:
Total Coal Purchase Price Over PLN 1.3 Billion, We Can Recover Around PLN 300 Million
- 750,000 tons purchased by RARS in '22 and '23, the total purchase price exceeding 1.3 billion zlotys, almost 40% of this coal is fine dust which is unusable for anything. Today, from this entire purchase, we can recover, according to experts, about 300 million, meaning about a billion is pure loss - said Marcin Kierwiński at a press conference.
- If we add to this the 200 million that was spent on storing this useless raw material, the loss is even greater by that additional 200 million - he continued.
10:21
Kierwiński Appeals to Nawrocki to Sign the SAFE Act:
Mr. President, Stand Firmly Behind the Polish Uniform.
"The SAFE program is also a great opportunity for the Ministry of Interior and Administration (MSWiA) and the services subordinate to MSWiA. If this act is not signed, MSWiA, and the services subordinate to MSWiA, will lose almost 8 billion zlotys," said Marcin Kierwiński at a press conference.
"The vast majority of these funds are intended to be invested in the security and operational capabilities of each individual officer, as these will be bulletproof vests, helmets, and personal weapons. If the act is not signed, MSWiA will irrevocably lose these funds," he continued.
"Mr. President, if you want Polish Police officers, Border Guards, and the State Protection Service (SOP) to be safe, able to work normally, and have good equipment, please sign this act. There is no need to listen to the petty politicians from PiS here; you need to take a stand for the Polish uniform. Mr. President, stand firmly behind the Polish uniform; that is what I am urging you to do," he added.
10:40
Sejm Marshal Włodzimierz Czarzasty is on a visit to Kyiv. He arrived in Ukraine in connection with the upcoming fourth anniversary of Russia's full-scale aggression against our eastern neighbor, the Chancellery of the Sejm informs.
Marshal Czarzasty's plans include meetings with key Ukrainian politicians, including President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Prime Minister Yuliya Svyrydenko. The Marshal will also deliver a speech in the Ukrainian parliament.
10:41
Kierwiński on the German Chancellor's Statement:
Unfortunate and Inaccurate.
- I haven't heard this statement, I must say that it is inconsistent with the facts, first and foremost. World War II lasted, as we all know, from September 1, '39, to May '45, so it was longer than four years - said Marcin Kierwiński at a press conference, when asked about the German Chancellor's statement that Russia's war with Ukraine would soon last four years, meaning longer than World War II.
- It's not for nothing that two armed conflicts in the 20th century are called world wars, because their scale was so gigantic [...] that never before in history and never until now, have we dealt with such global events - he continued.
- So comparing any conflict, even one that affects us so closely, because Ukraine is our neighbor, with World War II, is a misunderstanding, a historical misunderstanding and should not be done - he went on to say.
- This statement by the Chancellor is unfortunate and, above all, inaccurate - he added.
12:10
Obajtek:
This Government Effectively Told its Managers and Ministers: Don't Make Any Decisions, Because You'll Go to the Prosecutor for Each One
- Today, even walking down the corridor, I get questions about the quality of coal, whether the Prime Minister will be held responsible, what the Prime Minister has to do with some delivery, the quality of coal. But another topic is being raised: that the state has stopped making any decisions. For one Polish reason: show me a manager in Poland, show me even the Material Reserves Agency, where someone would make a decision, only to be held accountable by the prosecutor's office shortly thereafter - said Daniel Obajtek at a press conference.
- This government has effectively shown everyone, including its own managers and ministers: don't make any decisions, because you will go to the prosecutor's office for every decision, you will be held accountable. I know what the conditions were during the pandemic. I know what decisions were made. I know what decisions were made during the outbreak of the war in Ukraine. These had to be decisions made. Today, attempts are being made to hold us accountable for this at every step - he stated.
- So what are their managers, ministers, or heads of various agencies doing? "We are not making decisions." And don't be surprised if even worse times come, they still won't be making any decisions - he added.
12:29
Müller Responds to Accusations of the 'Coal Scandal':
The decision we made to protect Poles is a reason for our pride.
- Out of concern that there would not be enough [coal] within Poland, and out of concern that supply chains might be broken in the future and that, due to the approaching winter, Poland might lack energy resources, we did everything possible to secure Poland against such a risk - said Piotr Müller at a press conference.
- Imagine if, at that time, Russia undertook, for example, any further actions regarding, I don't know, an attack on the Baltic states or the opening of a front from Belarus, and it turned out that Poland was lacking coal, and Poles were freezing in their homes, then today TVN would accuse us, and Mr. Kierwiński, that we hadn't done what we did then. That we bought coal from all over the world in order to secure Poles - he continued.
- Yes, we did it because we feared that Poland would face an enormous threat regarding the basic, elementary needs for heating Polish homes. I know that this government has absolutely no courage to make such difficult decisions, and therefore I beg God that such crises never happen in the life of this government, because people will freeze in their own homes - he stated.
- The fact that we made the decision then to protect Poles from such a risk is a reason for our pride, not a reason for us to justify ourselves today. And this government, seeing today the prices of pellets, seeing what bills Polish families will soon receive for this heating season, is looking for a diversionary topic - he assessed.
12:45
Sikorski on Nawrocki's potential veto of the SAFE act:
It would be a shocking betrayal of the president's constitutional role.
- If that were the case [President Karol Nawrocki vetoed the SAFE act], I hope the military and uniformed services would tell him what they think about it – Radosław Sikorski said at a press briefing in Brussels.
- It would be succumbing to pressure from Nowogrodzka, rather than fulfilling his constitutional duty as commander-in-chief of the armed forces, ensuring a modern Polish army. It would be a shocking betrayal of his constitutional role – he assessed.
12:45
Czarzasty in Kyiv:
You will join the EU. This is the news I bring on behalf of all of democratic Europe.
- There is no free Poland without a free Ukraine. There is no free Ukraine without a free Poland. We have had a difficult history together, but we must draw lessons from this history, and build the future based on these lessons - said Włodzimierz Czarzasty in Kyiv.
- We will help you join the European Union. You will join the European Union. This is the news I bring on behalf of all of democratic Europe - he continued.
12:53
Czarzasty:
I Want Poland to Be a 90% Hub During Ukraine's Reconstruction
- Poland is currently a 90% hub through which, among other things, weaponry is being transferred to Ukraine. I want Poland to also be a 90% hub at the moment when Ukraine is being rebuilt – said Włodzimierz Czarzasty in Kyiv.
- It was Polish entrepreneurs who did not leave Ukraine four years ago when the full-scale war began – he continued.
12:56
Czarzasty on Poland's help for Ukraine in its EU accession efforts:
This is not charity.
"We want to help you so that you can join the European Union as quickly as possible. This is not charity, because countries like Germany, among others, helped us join the European Union. Thanks to our experiences, you will join faster. We will help you with all matters related to obtaining financial resources for Ukraine, including funds from the European Union." - said Włodzimierz Czarzasty in Kyiv.
13:00
Czarzasty on Ukrainians staying in Poland:
You can be proud of your citizens.
- We are taking care and doing everything that can be done for the 1,700,000 Ukrainians in Poland, but I also want to say that you can be proud of your citizens who are in Poland. 90,000 economic units that they have established and 20,000 enterprises that they have founded are generating 3% of Poland's GDP - said Włodzimierz Czarzasty in Kyiv.
13:06
Czarzasty:
We will seek support for Polish entrepreneurs in Ukraine when the war ends
- We will also seek support for Polish entrepreneurs and for the activity of Polish entrepreneurs in Ukraine at the moment when this damn war ends and you begin rebuilding - said Włodzimierz Czarzasty in Kyiv.
- This is how we will do it and this is how we should do it, so that our two proud nations are satisfied, both one and the other - he continued.

Article on Cenckiewicz:
A Cancer of Journalism." Hołownia Criticizes "Rzeczpospolita" and Recalls "GW
"Editor Jacek Nizinkiewicz decided, without my knowledge, consent, or discussion with me, to coercively 'out' me and publicly reveal my illness, based on rumors he heard around town from my 'circle'" – Szymon Hołownia wrote on social media.
"The 'news' is, of course, wrapped in a tender encouragement to seek help in times of crisis, to turn weakness into strength, and to celebrate the upcoming World Day for Mental Health. The title, the photo, everything is clearly subordinated to one goal: to sell my privacy and profit well from it" – emphasized the former Marshal of the Sejm.
"Indeed, the wave of hatred that both I and my family have experienced after the oath of the President of the Republic of Poland and my conversations with opposition politicians (not the first, not the last, but presented in a suitably sensational way), against the backdrop of six years of exhausting struggles with politics, has not been without impact on my health. Everything that I deem appropriate to publicly share, I will certainly share in due time. However, I consistently maintain that the sole controller of information about their health status should always and unconditionally be the patient themselves. The law guarantees this, as does common decency" – he added.
"And just as the revelation by 'Gazeta Wyborcza' of the medications that my political opponent, Sławomir Cenckiewicz, once took was disgusting, so I consider the 'exposing' article in 'Rzeczpospolita' by Jacek Nizinkiewicz to be a cancer of journalism"
" – he noted.

Tusk addresses PiS regarding SAFE:
Did it sink in, you stubborn heads?
- We are in Stalowa Wola, which has been so much in the news lately. They brought in party cronies here, they were shouting, protesting against the large sums of money that are to go to this steelworks, as well as to other arms industry plants in Poland. This outcry is: that the money is for the Germans - says Prime Minister Donald Tusk in a recording published on social media.
- I will try to explain this as simply as I can. Watch my lips: 20 billion, only for this steelworks. Stalowa Wola, Podkarpacie, Poland. Did it sink in, you stubborn heads? - asks the head of government.

Tusk Announces Intensified Cooperation with Norway on Security:
We Will Quickly Reach a Positive Conclusion.
- We will work more intensively to intensify our relations concerning security and not just security. Poland, as you know, is finalizing work on a new treaty with Great Britain, we have signed a treaty with the French, and we are working on deepening our agreement with Germany. A very important matter, and thank you for this proposal, is the immediate commencement of work on deepening, also formally, our cooperation between Poland and Norway - stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk at a press conference with the Prime Minister of Norway.
- We are starting today and we will certainly bring this to a quick and positive conclusion. So I am already looking forward to our increasingly intensive partnership - he continued.

Zandberg:
Surprised a journalist 'reveals' an illness based on gossip? Don't be – there's demand, there's supply
- Are you surprised that a journalist "reveals" an illness based on gossip? Don't be surprised – there's demand, there's supply. There are clients for this commodity, trained by 20 years of tribal hatred. They like fresh carrion. Besides, the enemy isn't human. The clicks will come. It will pay off - wrote Adrian Zandberg on social media.

Tusk Appeals to Nawrocki:
Mr. President, Sign It, There's No Time to Delay.
- Stop making fools of yourselves and the public. This is money meant to serve Polish defense, Polish industry. Anyone who wants to block this, wants to protest against it, is acting against Poland's interest, against the most important issue, which is the security of Poland and the entire continent. So stop, Mr. President, sign it, there's no time to delay and discuss, because the future of Poland, a secure Poland, and the future of dozens and hundreds of Polish companies across the country depend on it - stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk at a press conference with the Prime Minister of Norway.
15:37
At a press conference, a journalist from Norwegian television asked Prime Minister Donald Tusk the following question:
“Germany and France have started a discussion on nuclear deterrence in Europe. The Polish President talks about Poland’s nuclear autonomy. Does Poland want to, or will it enter into this nuclear partnership, and do these talks concern Poland?”
- This is an interesting perspective and an interesting long-term idea. It is difficult to talk about specifics today. I remain a realist and I am fully aware that we need adequate possible means of reaction to possible aggression from our enemies - replied the head of government.
- At this moment, this proposal is not specified. However, I would not want to start a public debate before receiving specific information on what is possible. This requires discretion. France and Germany have started this discussion - he indicated.
- Even when preparing the Treaty of Nancy between the Republic of Poland and France, we began talks on nuclear deterrence, but at this moment I would need more specifics - Tusk stated.

- The discussion at the European Union's Foreign Affairs Council was divided into three major thematic blocks: firstly, the fight against disinformation; secondly, on the eve of the anniversary of the Russian aggression against Ukraine, the situation in Ukraine, of course; and thirdly, also very important, the tragic situation in Gaza - Radosław Sikorski said in Brussels.
15:45
Sikorski on Merz's controversial words:
I corrected him with an appeal to my German colleague to convey it to the Chancellor.
- One of my colleagues took it upon himself to say that Russia's war with Ukraine has been going on for as long as World War II. I also corrected him with an appeal to my German colleague to convey my appeal to Chancellor Merz that the German-Soviet war is not the same as World War II - Radosław Sikorski said in Brussels.
- World War II began in Gdańsk on September 1, 1939 [...] I also reminded all my colleagues that for the first 1.5 years of World War II, Nazi Germany and Stalinist Soviet Union were allies - he continued.
15:50
Sikorski on Ukraine's Partial EU Membership:
Creative Thinking is One Thing, Political Decisions are Another.
- I always appreciate creative thinking. Ukraine's membership itself will be a major challenge, both for Ukraine and for the Union, because it is a large country and not very wealthy. But let's also remember that Ukraine has not yet fully implemented the association agreement. So, creative thinking is one thing, and political decisions are another - said Radosław Sikorski in Brussels when asked about the possibility of Ukraine's partial EU membership in 2027 and the realism of this plan.
15:54
Sikorski:
Hungary Blackmails Ukraine Once Again
- Hungary is blackmailing Ukraine, for yet another time, just as it did regarding the European Peace Facility, just as it is doing regarding the first negotiation cluster, so now, when it comes to the 90 billion loan, its disbursement, and the 20th [sanctions] package, this has met with widespread dissatisfaction and arguments directed at Hungary to back down from this position - said Radosław Sikorski in Brussels.
15:58
Sikorski:
I'd Prefer Fewer Spectacular Summits, and More Pressure on the Aggressor
- Generally, I am not a proponent of unprepared summits. We had a summit in Alaska and progress was lacking. Summits should seal the outcome of negotiations held at lower levels, and in my opinion, the negotiating positions of Russia and Ukraine are still far apart – said Radosław Sikorski in Brussels.
- The Russians are also trying to expand the negotiation field to include a new security architecture in Europe. If that were to be the case, then we have our security interests as Europeans, which was indeed discussed today, as the High Representative presented a list of such demands. I have also submitted Polish demands to this list – he continued.
- I would prefer fewer spectacular summits, and more pressure on the aggressor – he went on to say.

Cenckiewicz Supports Hołownia:
Disgusting Method of Destroying a Person. I Know It.
- Disgusting - because it's a media and public method of destroying a person using health issues! I know it… - wrote Sławomir Cenckiewicz on the X portal.
- Regardless of whether it is true or not, stay strong, Mr. Marshal!!! May Christ the Savior – especially during Lent, when He is publicly blasphemed and ridiculed – be your support and strength! - emphasized the head of the National Security Bureau (BBN).
Obrzydliwa - bo medialna i publiczna - metoda niszczenia człowieka z wykorzystaniem kwestii zdrowotnych! Znam ją…

- We learned the specific conditions for granting this loan, because it is not a subsidy, but a loan to Poland. Furthermore, we tried in the Sejm and the Senate, but first in the Sejm, the Law and Justice Parliamentary Club submitted 12 amendments to guarantee the security of our homeland, and all these amendments were rejected - said Mariusz Błaszczak in the program "Ewa Bugała. Wszystko jasne" on TV Republika, when asked about the change of stance regarding SAFE.
- The rejection of these amendments contradicted the declarations of those in power, for example, those in power claim that 89% of this loan will go to the Polish defense industry, but there is no such provision written into the law, so the Law and Justice Parliamentary Club proposed such an amendment. The amendment was rejected, therefore they are deceiving. [...] But the most important issue is conditionality - he continued.
18:07
- In my deep conviction, in our deep conviction, this is what will happen, because this is what is happening in Hungary now. Hungarians should choose their government, not the European Commission or other bodies of the European Union. Poles should choose their government, not the European Union - said Mariusz Błaszczak on TV Republika, when asked if PiS assumes that if the government in Poland is right-wing, the money from SAFE will be immediately suspended.
18:18
- For example, the bank tax. Revenue from the bank tax, but also other sources of finance, I mentioned this last Saturday in Stalowa Wola - said Mariusz Błaszczak in an interview with TV Republika, when asked what if not SAFE.

Błaszczak on the German Chancellor's Words:
A Huge Scandal, an Example of German Arrogance and Hubris.
- This is a huge scandal. This is a huge scandal, but it shows the way Germans think. This is another example of German arrogance, German hubris, and the way Poland is treated - Mariusz Błaszczak said on TV Republika, when asked about the German Chancellor's words that the war in Ukraine has lasted longer than World War II.
- After all, the war broke out on September 1, '39, when Germany made an agreement with Russia and attacked Poland, Germany on September 1, Russia on September 17. Then Germany attacked France, the German Chancellor doesn't notice that either - he continued.
18:28
Błaszczak:
German Leadership Means Pushing the USA Out of Europe
- German leadership in Europe, this German strategic autonomy, what does it actually mean? Anti-Americanism. It means pushing the United States out of Europe - Mariusz Błaszczak said on TV Republika.
18:31
Błaszczak on Czarzasty's Words in Kyiv:
One Huge Abuse.
- One huge abuse. I don't know who authorized Włodzimierz Czarzasty to utter such words, certainly not the Polish parliament, because I don't recall the parliament adopting any resolution, any stance on this matter - Mariusz Błaszczak said on TV Republika, when asked about Włodzimierz Czarzasty's words in Kyiv. The Marshal of the Sejm said, "You will enter the European Union. This is the news I am bringing on behalf of all of democratic Europe."
18:36
- From the younger generation of politicians, because that is the choice of Poles [...] it will also be a politician who will rebuild the Law and Justice party's position among conservative voters, because there is no doubt that through the propaganda pouring out from media associated with the government, a certain dominion that previously belonged to Law and Justice has been violated - said Mariusz Błaszczak on TV Republika, when asked what the PiS presidential candidate should be like.
18:42
Błaszczak on Poland 2050 and Centre Politicians:
All Who Dare to Bring About a Change of Government Are Welcome.
"We are open to people who reject Donald Tusk's government. We believe Donald Tusk is harming Poland, and therefore, all those who dare to bring about a change of government in Poland are welcome," said Mariusz Błaszczak on TV Republika, when asked about the fragmentation of Poland 2050 and whether PiS is holding any talks with members of both clubs regarding potential cooperation.
18:57
Sikorski:
Unfortunately, Hungary Has Blocked the Adoption of the 20th Sanctions Package
- Unfortunately, as you know, Hungary has blocked the adoption of the 20th sanctions package, just as they are also blocking payments to the Polish army modernization fund, blocking the opening of negotiations with Ukraine, and also blocking a loan for Ukraine, amounting to 90 billion euros, which was otherwise approved at the level of heads of government, with Viktor Orbán present in the room - said Radosław Sikorski at a press conference.
19:00
Sikorski on the Growing Involvement of Countries in SAFE:
Perhaps This Mechanism is Simply Very Beneficial,
"More and more countries are joining the SAFE mechanism, including countries like France, Finland, and, coincidentally, Hungary," said Radosław Sikorski at a press conference.
"So I would like to ask again those who are organizing a witch hunt against the SAFE mechanism: do they really believe that all these countries voluntarily wish to become colonies of Germany, or is it perhaps simply that this mechanism is very beneficial, and it is Russian propaganda and its trolls, unfortunately with the help of some political forces in Poland, who are trying to deprive companies like Huta Stalowa Wola, or other enterprises in Poland, and above all the army, the Police, and the Border Guard, of these gigantic funds for modernization and for deterring Putin," he continued.
19:05
Sikorski:
The President's Uncoordinated Statements with the Government Cause Astonishment
- The fact that the president makes statements uncoordinated with the government, for example, on the issue of nuclear weapons, causes astonishment - said Radosław Sikorski at a press conference.
19:07
- Regarding the SAFE mechanism, yes, I believe a presidential veto would be a disgrace, meaning something astonishing from the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces. The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces should be striving for the modernization of the Polish Army, not hindering the government's modernization efforts - said Radosław Sikorski at a press conference.
19:09
Sikorski:
Do all SAFE participating countries want to be under Germany's thumb? It's absurd!
- Are all these countries I've mentioned, roughly 20 countries at this very moment, are they all wrong? Do they all really want to go under Germany's thumb? That's absurd – said Radosław Sikorski at a press conference, speaking about SAFE.
19:13
Sikorski:
Today's Opposition Suffers from an Anti-EU Psychosis
- I believe that today's opposition simply doesn't like the fact that during Poland's presidency, our government's presidency, such a program [SAFE] was born, which so many countries want to utilize, and they don't want to admit that the government did something right and that Poland benefits from its membership in the European Union, because unfortunately, we have an anti-EU psychosis among today's opposition - stated Radosław Sikorski at a press conference.
19:56
- I want to focus very strongly on the future. In this future, I also see cooperation with my former parliamentary club. Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz and I are working together in the Council of Ministers. We also have a great deal of cooperation between our ministers and ministries, and I encourage us to truly restrain emotions, control emotions, and simply respect the decision made by the people - said Paulina Hennig-Kloska in an interview with Marek Tejchman on Polsat News' "Gość Wydarzeń" (Guest of Events).
19:59
Hennig-Kloska:
I Was Convinced Everything Would Calm Down After the Elections. Unfortunately, the Atmosphere Became Even Thicker.
- I was convinced that after the [Poland 2050] elections, everything in the party would calm down. Unfortunately, the atmosphere became even thicker. Hate speech and insults appeared on internal groups. For me, there is no space for normal work in such an environment. I also don't like being in such a space. Many other people found themselves in a similar situation. If as many as 18 parliamentarians reached such a decision… - said Paulina Hennig-Kloska in "Gość Wydarzeń" on Polsat News.
- I had hoped that with the end of the elections, there would be a cooling down, that heads would clear, emotions would subside. The day of our departure showed best that these heads did not clear - she assessed.
20:02
Hennig-Kloska:
Democracy within a party cannot end with the election of its leader
- Democracy within a party cannot end with the election of its leader. The parliamentary club must function by convening meetings. […] The parliamentary club also wanted to conclude its electoral process and select a new presidium. This is because the old presidium had, in the meantime, lost the trust of the parliamentarians - said Paulina Hennig-Kloska on Polsat News's "Gość Wydarzeń" (Guest of Events).
20:10
Hennig-Kloska:
Anyone Who Wants to Work Normally in the Coalition, Not Explain Away Rumors About Its Collapse, Will Find Space to Work in the Centre
- Many people are initiating dialogue with us, seeking space for cooperation. Whether they decide to join - we will see – stated Paulina Hennig-Kloska in "Gość Wydarzeń" on Polsat News.
- The truth is that anyone who wants to work normally, stably within the coalition, not fight for positions, not have to explain away various rumors that circulate in the corridors about the coalition collapsing, will certainly find space to work in our club – she stated.
- But this must be an individual decision for each and every parliamentarian, because we will certainly not try to break it up in any way – she added.
20:23
- We made a commitment to our voters in 2023 for 4 years in this coalition, with the partners we are working with – and I intend to keep that commitment – said Paulina Hennig-Kloska on Polsat News’ “Gość Wydarzeń.”
- And doesn't Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz want to? - asked Marek Tejchman.
- Please ask Ms. Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz about that – replied the MP from the Centre club.
- She declares that she absolutely intends to stay in the coalition – stated the journalist.
- You know, various rumors are circulating in the corridors – replied Hennig-Kloska.
When pressed about what rumors she had in mind, she responded: - Various ones. Please look around, lend an ear, listen. I am not in the habit of passing on gossip, but I also don't like having to explain myself about such things.
20:35
Hennig-Kloska:
We Will Soon Unveil the Centre's Programme Manifesto
- We will also be showing our programme manifesto soon. We want to register this association and also present a programme manifesto that will define our parliamentary club - said Paulina Hennig-Kloska on Polsat News' "Gość Wydarzeń" (Guest of Events).
20:38
Hennig-Kloska:
Unfortunately, my colleagues are increasingly advocating for greater state involvement in the economy
- First and foremost, what we care about is returning to our roots. In 2023, we went into the elections with slogans of economic freedom, less state involvement in the economy, support for the economy in the energy transition process, and also creating space for Poles to conduct their businesses and entrepreneurship more stably. And that's what we will focus on - said Paulina Hennig-Kloska in "Gość Wydarzeń" on Polsat News.
- Unfortunately, my colleague, my colleagues are increasingly advocating for greater state involvement in the economy, even greater overregulation of various spheres. And this undoubtedly diverges from our path - she stated.
