Jaki:

I am ready to run for president
- I am ready to run [in the presidential elections] because I have a strong conviction that much needs to change in Poland. First and foremost, I am outraged that key investments that would lead to Poles earning more are being blocked - such as the original version of CPK, nuclear power, grain ports, and the expansion of the Oder River - said Patryk Jaki in an interview on Radio ZET.

08:00

Bryłka:

My Current Unaffiliated Status Doesn't Mean We Won't Join a Group Soon
- The fact that I am still unaffiliated today does not mean we won't join a group in the near future, because it is possible to join [European Parliament] groups during the term. And frankly, on the right, the entire negotiations have been complicated by the elections in France – said Anna Bryłka in an interview with Marcin Fijołek on Polsat News' "Graffiti".

08:07

Bryłka on EU Climate Policy:

Poles Simply Cannot Afford It.
- In my opinion, Poles simply cannot afford it, and Polish households won't be able to afford it. This means that we, as a member state, Polish households, will bear a disproportionate cost of implementing such climate policy compared to the effects this policy will bring. We live on one planet all the time; we can truly achieve climate neutrality by 2050 in the European Union, but we will simply push these emissions outside the European Union – said Anna Bryłka in Polsat News.

08:14

Bryłka:

I don't expect the National Electoral Commission to reject PiS's financial report
- Probably, if the National Electoral Commission (PKW) wanted to, it would find grounds [to withhold subsidies from PiS], however, in the case of PiS, it appeared that in recent years the entire state apparatus was mobilized to conduct election campaigns, all those 800+ picnics, TVP's activities, all of it was an element of the election campaign, something that, of course, placed the ruling party in a privileged position. Therefore, I don't expect the PKW to reject the financial report, because political parties, especially the largest and strongest ones, take care to ensure that everything in their financial reports looks very good - said Anna Bryłka in Polsat News. - Every politician who is elected from their region always favors their region and their electoral district from which they were elected - she continued.

08:21

Bryłka on Confederation’s Presidential Candidate:

We Will Likely Approach Primaries.
- Discussions on this topic are ongoing. We held primaries five years ago, and during this campaign period, we will likely also approach primaries, although a candidate might be designated. So, all of this is still subject to negotiations within Confederation - Anna Bryłka told Polsat News when asked who will be Confederation’s candidate in the presidential election. - In the course of negotiations, everyone wants to achieve as much as possible for themselves. [...] Confederation will field one candidate; this is the best, baseline scenario for us, for one candidate to represent Confederation in the presidential election - she continued. - Of course, Krzysztof Bosak, because I am from the National Movement, so he is the natural candidate here. However, we will support any candidate who is selected, whether through primaries or through internal negotiations in general - she added when asked who should be that candidate. - The decision will probably be made in the autumn - she added.

08:32

After Presidential Elections:

Different Circles Have Mutually Exclusive Agendas." Bryłka on Coalition Inconsistency and "Shifting Positions
- The situation with this whole decriminalization bill shows that there simply isn't agreement within the governing coalition itself regarding the stance on abortion, and this also highlights a certain inconsistency within the ruling camp, because different circles within it truly have mutually exclusive agendas. And this particular bill didn't pass, but in my opinion, if we were to start voting on specific government bills prepared by specific ministries, there would be just as many discrepancies - Anna Bryłka said on Polsat News. - Surely, this shift in position on the Polish political scene will simply take place after the presidential elections [...]. No, I'm not entirely [predicting the collapse of the coalition], however, the question is who will be the president, and whether the governing coalition will manage to have one joint [candidate], that will be a very significant force, yes, today one can always say, "we are not adopting this bill because President Duda will always veto it," but what will happen in a situation where we have our own president and there are these vetoes - she continued.

08:52

Jaki on Ziobro’s Health:

Things Have Been Better.
- Things have been better. It's always a difficult situation, recovering from such a serious cancer. But he's fighting [Zbigniew Ziobro] - said Patryk Jaki in an interview with Beata Lubecka on “Gość Radia ZET”.

09:09

Jaki:

A President with Character Would Veto Unnecessary Bills Until the Government Ensures National Development
- A president with character would say: ladies and gentlemen, I will, for example, veto unnecessary bills as long as you do not ensure our development, because you are blocking key investments - stated Patryk Jaki on "Gość Radia ZET". - He [Andrzej Duda] has character, but I believe more could have been done in this matter - he assessed.

09:10

Kalisz on Documents Sent from Prosecutor's Office to PKW:

Very Poor.

- The PKW has no instruments either for questioning witnesses or for gathering evidence. But very poor, if I may say so [we received receipts from the prosecutor's office], from our point of view. I will give one example, the matter concerning RCL. Information from the District Prosecutor's Office in Warsaw, half a page long, standard, in which the prosecutor writes that an investigation is being conducted in connection with the suspicion of committing an act under Article 231 - stated Ryszard Kalisz on PR3.

- The prosecutor's office doesn't write anything to us about Szczucki because it hasn't initiated proceedings ad personam against Szczucki, it only writes that it is currently examining issues under Article 231, i.e., exceeding duties. What does this have to do with the election campaign? - he continued.

- We have asked the prosecutor's office to elaborate. We will see, by Friday, if I remember correctly, it's still difficult for me to say anything about it, I will be at the PKW and I will look at this matter particularly closely - he emphasized.

09:16

Jaki:

I am among those considered as presidential candidates by the United Right
- Officially, I am among those individuals who are being considered as candidates by the United Right. I believe I am among those being assessed. If you are asking me under which banner I would run, it would be under the banner of the United Right - said Patryk Jaki in "Gość Radia ZET". - If there is a better candidate, I will not push myself forward - he added.

09:17

Kucharska-Dziedzic on Giertych's Idea:

Littering Polish Law

- I think Roman Giertych, precisely because of our associations with who he was and whom he brought into Polish politics, cannot really be a dove of peace and will not be associated with a dove of peace by anyone – stated Anita Kucharska-Dziedzic on RMF FM.

- This is, in fact, littering the Polish legal order. Firstly, the entire decriminalization concerns eliminating an absurdity from Polish law, that is, a situation where we punish aiding and abetting an act that is not punishable, because I remind you that women are not punished for abortion – she said.

09:26

Jaki:

The Political Situation Next Year Will Significantly Change to Our Advantage
- I am convinced that the political situation next year will significantly change, to our advantage. Firstly, because energy prices will rise as a result of the Tusk team approving the new Green Deal program by electing von der Leyen - said Patryk Jaki on "Gość Radia ZET". - At this moment, a radical version of this Green Deal is being pushed through, which they approved with von der Leyen’s program, meaning a 90% reduction in carbon dioxide emissions. This will be a catastrophe for the Polish economy; we will all feel it already this winter. […] We blocked this for a very long time, and as a result, energy costs were lower than they are now. I have no doubt that they will increase - he continued.

09:36

Jaki on the potential merger of Suwerenna Polska with PiS:

I wouldn't rule it out in the future.
- For now, there are no such decisions [about joining PiS], for now we are working hard in Suwerenna Polska - said Patryk Jaki in “Gość Radia ZET”. - I wouldn't rule out such a possibility in the future [merger of PiS and Suwerenna Polska], but for now we are active. Suwerenna Polska has its mission: fighting the Green Deal, fighting the migration pact, fighting to prevent new treaties from being passed - he emphasized. - I think so - he replied when asked if Marcin Romanowski would find a place in the merged parties.

09:47

Jaki:

A large portion of materials used in the Romanowski case originates from illegal wiretaps
- A large portion of the materials used in this case [of Marcin Romanowski] comes from illegal wiretaps. So, the people who were shouting for the last 8 years, about Pegasus, about illegal wiretaps and so on, even though everything was done in accordance with adopted laws, passed through the prosecutor's office and with court approval, they claimed it was still illegal. [...] And today, 'Rzeczpospolita' reports and shows that precisely in this case, illegal wiretaps were used, without any court consent – said Patryk Jaki in 'Gość Radia ZET'.

11:52

Morawiecki Reacts to Domański's Statement on Low Prices:

I Thought I Misheard.
- Scrolling through social media, I heard a statement from the Minister of Finance: "our government is a government of low prices." My first reaction? I thought I misheard, that I misunderstood something. Second? I thought it was some kind of deepfake generated by AI. Finally, my third reaction, I looked at the source, and there was his statement on a TVP program. Anyway, look for yourselves how it looks - said Mateusz Morawiecki in a recording published on social media. At the end of the recording published by the former prime minister, a map is visible with price increases for water marked in selected Polish cities.

12:20

Ozdoba on the Prosecution's Actions Regarding the Justice Fund:

We Are Dealing With a Crime.

- On the pages of "Rzeczpospolita," a situation is described that could have far-reaching consequences for the current government. Namely, from a press release by "Rzeczpospolita," we learn that we are dealing with illegally acting prosecution bodies concerning the investigation into the Justice Fund. Specifically, Mr. Tomasz Mraz, according to this article, is acting like a quasi-agent, as a suspect, without court consent - stated Jacek Ozdoba at a press conference.

- We are dealing, if this article is true, with a situation where crimes are being committed by public officials, in the form of the prosecution and prosecutors, who are allowing recordings without court consent, which is what this effectively means. It means that quasi-procedural actions are being conducted contrary to procedure - he continued.

13:37

Grabiec Responds to Kalisz's Words:

Extensive Documents

- These proofs are described in a letter we sent to the National Electoral Commission, a twenty-odd-page document with 16 attachments. These are extensive documents that contain photographic and factual documentation, and refer to prosecution proceedings. One could say that such a violation of the Electoral Code has never been so evident for any committee. Perhaps Mr. Ryszard Kalisz has not yet thoroughly familiarized himself with this letter, as he himself says, and it's not about journalistic accusations, which are often formulated by politicians in the media. In this letter, we are dealing exclusively with a legal analysis - stated Jan Grabiec in an interview for Polsat News.

14:05

Chancellery of the Prime Minister Publishes Response to the National Electoral Commission:

The Scale and Nature of Abuses and Irregularities Appear Incomparable.

The Chancellery of the Prime Minister has published a letter to the National Electoral Commission (PKW), providing information regarding irregularities in the financing of the PiS electoral campaign.

- The matters concern violations of the Electoral Code provisions, listed as grounds for rejecting the financial reports of electoral committees - it was stated, indicating that the letter includes, among other things, information on cases that have been forwarded to the prosecutor's office as a result of controls and audits.

- Society has the right to expect that the PKW's actions will focus on restoring respect for the values resulting from the principles of a democratic rule of law state. This means that the PKW is responsible for taking steps that will restore faith in ensuring that all citizens have equal opportunities in elections, which is a fundamental principle of democracy - the communication read.

- The scale and nature of abuses and irregularities concerning the use of public funds in the electoral campaign appear incomparable to any other irregularities that have been demonstrated to date in the PKW's resolutions regarding the rejection of financial reports of electoral committees - it reads.

The PKW is currently analyzing the financial reports of electoral committees that participated in last year's parliamentary elections. The matter of the PiS committee's report and the question of whether the PKW will consider the accusations made against it sufficient for its rejection are generating the most emotion.

14:44

Berek on PiS subsidy:

The question boils down to whether the National Electoral Commission takes itself seriously or not.
"We have two options: one formalistic: we wash our hands, avoid the problem, not my business. Either we will have real work done, or we will be sliding by, perhaps with the good feeling that we have avoided problems" - said Maciej Berek in an interview with Polsat's "Wydarzenia". "According to regulations, the National Electoral Commission (PKW) is the highest electoral authority in Poland. The PKW, according to the law, supervises compliance with electoral law and, by law, issues guidelines for electoral committees. These guidelines are binding - and in these guidelines, the PKW has elaborated on the framework provisions of the law, detailing specifics: what is not allowed. The question essentially boils down to this: does the PKW take itself seriously or not?" - emphasized the interviewee of Marcin Fiołek. "And the PKW, through the voice of Ryszard Kalisz, says: prove it. This is a confusion of roles. It is the PKW that examines reports and makes decisions" - Berek noted, adding that the PKW has the right to seek legal support or analyses, and the letters from the PKW concern something completely different. "Do you know what letter we received from the PKW? Whether we filed reports of electoral crimes - and that's a much narrower category than irregularities in electoral financing. It's about forging signatures, buying votes, things like that - and that's completely not the point! When I saw that letter, I started wondering what this is all about?! (...) I respect Advocate Kalisz as a lawyer, but I don't understand his approach. This is allowing millions of zlotys to be winked at. I cite the example of Krzysztof Szczucki, who opened his offices precisely within his electoral district, promoted his offices on billboards. Part of this activity involved employees of the Regional Customer Service Centers (RCL). What else does the PKW need? What else should I do as the person coordinating the work on the response for the PKW? Turn back time and record what happened a few months ago?" - explained Minister Berek. "I would not want us to live in a state where an accounting error of one zloty can lead to the loss of financing, because that is easy to prove, but for the passage of millions of zlotys, which cause a lack of equal opportunities in the electoral process, we say that it's a wink and nothing can be done about it" - he added.

16:18

Morawiecki Appeals to the Government and PKP Cargo Management:

What Are You Waiting For?
- I have just had a meeting with employees and trade unionists from Solidarność [...] and I want to loudly appeal to the Tusk government and the management of PKP Cargo: what are you waiting for? Why are you not implementing any real development plan for PKP Cargo? [...] It's practically begging to acquire new commercial contracts on a developing market - said Mateusz Morawiecki at a press conference.

16:24

Morawiecki on PiS potentially losing subsidies:

If the politicized PKW makes such a decision, we will defend democracy.
- I can only have one comment regarding the subsidy. If the PKW dares to take such a step, a blow to democracy, an attack on the main, absolutely fundamental opposition party, then we see very clearly that this is another step on the path to destroying democracy, we have seen plenty of such steps. Law and Justice did nothing during the campaign that Civic Platform, PSL, Poland 2050 would not have done, we have gathered documents on this matter - said Mateusz Morawiecki at a press conference. - If the politicized National Electoral Commission makes such a decision in an extra-legal manner, we will defend democracy, we will defend ourselves against the destruction of the only opposition voice - he continued.

16:26

Morawiecki:

The US is the Sole Guarantor of Security for Central Europe, Including Poland
- The United States is the sole guarantor of security for Central Europe, including Poland. If Prime Minister Orbán has a different opinion on this matter, in this area, he naturally has the right to it, but I completely disagree with that - said Mateusz Morawiecki at a press conference.

16:30

We are conducting thorough research on around 10 candidates, and Patryk Jaki is among them. Morawiecki on potential presidential candidates backed by PiS
- We are now conducting thorough research [...] on about 10 candidates, and Mr. Patryk Jaki is among them. If he wishes to run, he must obtain the consent of our political leadership [...]. Of course, we are examining all candidates whom we believe can fight for victory, because we are primarily interested in winning in the second round - said Mateusz Morawiecki at a press conference.

16:36

Bodnar Writes to EP President, Demanding Immunity Revocation for Wąsik and Kamiński
- Prosecutor General Adam Bodnar has today submitted requests to the President of the European Parliament, Roberta Metsola, seeking consent to prosecute Members of the European Parliament: Mariusz Kamiński and Maciej Wąsik - the National Public Prosecutor's Office announced. As stated in the communication, the prosecution accuses the PiS MEPs of failing to comply with the final ruling of the District Court in Warsaw from December 2023, which imposed a ban on holding public office. - The evidence gathered in the case has provided grounds to establish that Mariusz Kamiński and Maciej Wąsik, despite the legally binding ban on holding public office imposed on them, did not comply with this ban and exercised their mandates as MPs by participating on December 21, 2023, in the deliberations of the Sejm of the Republic of Poland, including in votes numbered 141-147 conducted by the Sejm, and by participating on December 28, 2023, in a meeting of the Sejm's Committee on Administration and Internal Affairs - it reads.

19:44

Zgorzelski:

Hołownia is the Third Way's presidential candidate
- Szymon Hołownia is the Third Way's candidate who will certainly be a strong contender for the presidential seat – said Piotr Zgorzelski in an interview with Bogdan Rymanowski on Polsat News's "Gość Wydarzeń".

19:53

Zgorzelski:

Kaczyński's Letter to Ziobro is an Argument for Stripping PiS of Subsidies. The Chairman Reported His Own Committee
- For me, the argument for PiS being deprived of subsidies is Jarosław Kaczyński's own report in a letter to Zbigniew Ziobro. In this letter, he pointed to two things: the pathology that Sovereign Poland politicians were using the Fund for Judicial Aid. In the second part of his letter, Prime Minister Kaczyński states that this could have an impact on electoral settlements - said Piotr Zgorzelski on Polsat News' "Gość Wydarzeń". - I don't see greater proof. [...] Jarosław Kaczyński has reported his own electoral committee, and I will stick to that - he added.

19:57

Zgorzelski:

In its current composition, the PKW will not make a fair decision to withdraw subsidies from PiS
- I have no illusions that this [State] Electoral Commission will disqualify any party or any committee. In my opinion, in its current composition, the PKW will not make a fair decision on this matter - and a fair decision on this matter would be to withdraw subsidies from PiS - said Piotr Zgorzelski in "Gość Wydarzeń" on Polsat News. - I am not personalizing this. I just want to say that the politicization of the PKW has caused this commission to lose its substantive value in favor of political value - he assessed.

20:03

Zgorzelski on Current TVP: Now it is Polish and Public. Everyone Can Speak on It
- Do you know what should primarily decide that PiS should not have subsidies? That they turned the television, funded by our common money, into a party television. Period - said Piotr Zgorzelski in "Gość Wydarzeń" on Polsat News. When asked what Polish Television is like today, he replied: - Now it is Polish. Public. Everyone can speak on this television, everyone can voice their opinion. It is not just party television. When pressed about the decision regarding Przemysław Babiarz, he stated: - The form outweighs the content. […] I wish this television well, but sometimes they do various foolish things.

20:20

Zgorzelski wants the Third Way's abortion bill to be processed first:

I demand.
- Einstein already said that repeating the same thing to achieve a different result is madness. Submitting the same bill [on the decriminalization of abortion], knowing the distribution of votes in the Sejm, is simply a political game by the Left - said Piotr Zgorzelski in "Gość Wydarzeń" on Polsat News. - The response to the appeal [for PSL MPs to abstain from voting on this law] is not a request, but a demand that, out of the three bills that are in committee, we begin processing the bill from the PSL, the Third Way, and also our colleagues from Poland 2050. Because it is precisely this bill that fulfills the provisions of the coalition agreement. [...] It states that the coalition [...] will restore the situation before Julia Przyłębska's fatal ruling. This is what our bill achieves - he continued. When asked who he was directing his demand to, he replied: - To the leaderships of the political parties that form the government.

20:22

Grabiec:

I Believe the National Electoral Commission Will Reject PiS's Financial Report

- I would like the National Electoral Commission, the members of the National Electoral Commission, to dedicate some time, because this material is extensive, but it contains facts, names, dates, places, and is also documented photographically. If the members of the National Electoral Commission dedicate time to familiarizing themselves with this material and are impartial, I believe that, as in the case of previous decisions by the National Electoral Commission [it will reject the report]. After all, the National Electoral Commission has rejected the reports of parties, large, important parties, more than once – said Jan Grabiec on TVN24.

20:23

Grabiec on Orbán:

He Was Left Alone.

- Orbán wasn't so much punished by Poland as Poland's position changed due to the change of government in Poland. Until recently, the PiS government was the least cooperative government within the EU, and Orbán was slightly better off. Today, he has been left alone, he is condemned by everyone. His trip to Putin was received very poorly in all European capitals. Conducting foreign policy on behalf of the Union without coordinating positions with anyone is, of course, deceiving partners, and this cannot be accepted well – stated Jan Grabiec on the program "Fakty po faktach" on TVN24.

20:43

"Required Readings, Patriotic Excursions": Zgorzelski on the Patriotic Education Act
- The Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of National Defence, may present the assumptions [of the PSL's bill on patriotic education] during his speech [at the Polish Army Day celebrations], and if not, we will do it around October 15th. They are ready, and we are working on the draft bill – said Piotr Zgorzelski in the program "Gość Wydarzeń" on Polsat News. - Since Poles are interested in history, and so are the youngest ones, this history must be presented to them, especially to young Poles, to such an extent that they can learn from this history, be educated by historical examples, and also shape their attitudes – he continued. When asked about the specifics of the project, he said: - Regarding the canon of required readings, we believe it should be very broad, with additional optional readings, so that teachers can directly influence the selection of texts. That is the first point. Secondly, when it comes to historical education, we want to introduce patriotic excursions, but also to teach something we call economic patriotism. That youth and children should also take pride in economic achievements and accomplishments, for example, through various types of visits to workplaces or even farms.
