Duda on Complaint Against Poland to WTO: It would be good for Ukraine to remember that it receives help from us and we are a transit country

- First and foremost, let's clarify one thing. Poland has not closed its borders to Ukrainian grain - President Andrzej Duda said at a press briefing in New York. - We want to help Ukraine, we have been helping Ukraine all the time, for a very long time, we are doing it very selflessly. We want to continue to help as much as we can, as much as we are able to. We have created transport corridors that are constantly operating, 260 thousand tons of grain is twice as much as was transported, transited through Poland before. Currently, in the near future, there will be an agreement between Poland and Lithuania to further shorten procedures and for everything to also take place at the port of Klaipeda - he continued. - I understand that there are business circles that have their interests in Ukraine, who would like to sell grain as quickly as possible at the lowest possible cost. We must defend ourselves against this, it is our obvious duty. There is a conflict of interests here, to be honest - he admitted. - If Ukraine actually files a complaint against us to the tribunal [World Trade Organization - WTO], we will explain this situation before the tribunal. It is then a legal dispute. We will act on that basis. However, it would be good for Ukraine to remember that it receives help from us and to remember that we are also a transit country to Ukraine - he emphasized.
