- Why should we go to Białystok when we are in Warsaw? - stated Andrzej Halicki on TVN24's "Political Bench". As he added:

- Marches, these kinds of political rallies, all of it is designed to divide people so clearly in half that those who go to the marches are on this side, and those on that side. – I have the impression that Marshal Kuchciński lives in some kind of paranoia. He is a Marshal who, when he leaves his office, you, the public, don't know this, but he is always accompanied by burly men from the Marshal's Guard. Marshal Kuchciński has brought it to the point where the Sejm has become a fortress. He is the person who can mute me after 30 seconds and say that I have no right to speak. Marshal Kuchciński is an example of such Byzantium and the overgrown ego of PiS – stated Joanna Scheuring-Wielgus on TVN24's "Politicians' Bench".

– You are neither honest nor humble. You are simply cheats – the MP emphasized.

- However, I would have preferred Jadwiga Emilewicz to be the candidate [for a commissioner in the European Commission], as she seems like a competent person. She's from a different camp than me, but I appreciate her work, her commitment, and at least I wouldn't be ashamed if she became the Polish commissioner - stated Joanna Scheuring-Wielgus on TVN24's "Ława polityków" (Politicians' Bench).

The upcoming week in Polish politics is dominated by an additional, one-day Sejm session – combined with a three-day Senate session – which will include, among other things, the election of a new President of the Supreme Audit Office (NIK).

Members of Parliament will also address changes to the Electoral Code and amendments to the 500+ program for the disabled, which were previously introduced by the upper house. Last week, a bill to lower the personal income tax (PIT) to 17% was submitted to the Sejm, but this item is not on the preliminary schedule.

On Tuesday, the authorities of the two largest parties will convene to debate electoral lists for the autumn elections to the Polish parliament. PiS intends to approve the entire lists – the lead candidates have already been presented.

Civic Platform Board Meeting. A meeting of the Civic Platform's board is scheduled for Tuesday, where proposals for candidates to the Sejm and Senate will be discussed. According to unofficial media reports, it is possible that the lead candidates for the Civic Coalition lists will be presented on Tuesday, although Grzegorz Schetyna recently announced that the lists would be presented on the last Friday, which ultimately did not happen.

PiS Political Committee Meeting. – The entire Political Committee will convene on Tuesday to approve these lists [for the parliamentary elections]. We will announce them then. I think we will announce them by constituencies, presenting the individual candidates – announced Ryszard Terlecki in an interview with TVN24.

Amendments to 500+ for the Disabled. On Tuesday at 12:30 PM, a meeting of the Senate's Committee on Family, Senior Citizens' Policy, and Social Affairs will take place concerning the act on 500+ for the disabled. The Senate – which begins its session on Wednesday – will have to adopt the aforementioned acts in the morning so that the Sejm can convene at 12:00 PM. In its last session, the Sejm voted on an amendment by the Civic Platform-KO club excluding pensions and annuities from the Pension and Disability Benefit Fund (FUS) from the income limit for benefits. Statements from PiS politicians suggest that changes will be prepared in the Senate that will “expand the number of beneficiaries.”

Sejm to Debate Electoral Code Changes. On Wednesday at 12:45 PM, the second reading of the bill amending the Electoral Code, submitted by PiS, will take place. This is a contentious issue, and therefore a vote on it will be held shortly after 12:00 PM. It is most likely that the proposal will be voted on the same day. According to PiS, the project concerns regulations aimed at introducing corrections to the rules regarding the composition of the Supreme Court that hears cases in the field of electoral law. In practice, this means that the Supreme Court, composed of the entire Chamber for Extraordinary Control and Public Affairs, will decide on the validity of elections, including presidential and Sejm elections.

It's time for simple words, for simple handshakes, for speaking simple truths, that people have the right to believe in what they want and to love whom they want. Saying that extending a hand is better than cutting it off. Simply speaking in the language of love - stated Włodzimierz Czarzasty in Białystok at the "Poland Against Violence" demonstration.

You know that Hitler's birthday is a bad thing, that when people spit on each other, it's a bad thing. You know that when ministers talk about gays and lesbians, calling it sodomy, it's a bad thing. You know this, you don't react, I hold the leadership of PiS responsible for this. You have caused people to look at each other with disdain, to speak ill of each other, to harbor negative thoughts about each other even at the Christmas Eve table. But in times of plague, there is also love. Love is people, it's you, it's us. Love is also cooperation - he continued.

Sławomir Nitras announced on Twitter that he has appealed to the Sejm Presidium to convert the last three financial penalties imposed on him by the presidium into a donation to a charitable organization. Nitras points out that the sum of the recent fines is equivalent to what the Marshal of the Sejm declared he would pay as compensation for one family member's flight on a government Gulfstream aircraft on the Warsaw-Rzeszów route.

According to Nitras, the 12,000 PLN fine is equivalent to the amount Marshal Kuchciński valued 21 flights by his family members on a special HEAD-status aircraft on the Warsaw-Rzeszów route.
