Friday's Political Agenda: Civic Coalition Program Forum, Final Day of Senate Session, President Duda in West Pomerania, Piontkowski's Conference, Witek in Silesia

At 9:00 AM, the two-day Civic Coalition Program Forum will commence at the Palace of Culture and Science. The address by chairman Grzegorz Schetyna is scheduled for 9:50 AM. Simultaneously, thematic discussions will run in parallel in four rooms until the evening. Separate debates will also take place in a tent on Defilad Square.

Müller:

If the Citizen Gains, the State Gains. If Local Government Defines a Tax Cut as a Failure, It Means Something Entirely Different for Those in Power.

- A very strange definition of loss. If the citizen gains, then the state gains. More money in the citizen's pocket is a success for the government, for the country, not a failure. If local government defines a tax cut as a failure, then we have very strange definitions; it means something entirely different for local government officials and something else for those in power - said Piotr Müller in an interview with Katarzyna Gójska on "Sygnały Dnia" on Polish Radio Channel One.

Müller on Biedroń: Simply Speechless. At the European level, we should support each other solidarity in regard to positions in the EP

- I saw the statement by MP Robert Biedroń yesterday. Well, it's simply speechless. At the European level, we should support each other with solidarity regarding positions in the European Parliament, but generally concerning Poland's interests. This is not just about positions, it's about realizing Poland's interests. Robert Biedroń is unfortunately an example of a person who views the European Union cosmopolitically. He is rather detached from the national community. He views it detached from Polish interests - said Piotr Müller in an interview with Katarzyna Gójska on "Sygnały Dnia" on Polskie Radio Jedynka.

Czarzasty:

SLD Will Be the Last Party to Leave the Civic Coalition Project. Claims That Someone Didn't Say Everything or That Something is Vague Are Untrue

"The SLD will be the last party to leave this project [the Civic Coalition]. If this project is not implemented, we will point to the culprits, because we believe all cards are on the table. Everyone has already said everything. Claims that someone didn't say everything, that something is vague, are untrue. We have the decision of 13,000 members to discuss the agreement" - said the leader of the SLD, Włodzimierz Czarzasty, in an interview with Jacek Żakowski on Poranek Radia TOK FM.

08:14

Czarzasty:

The PSL, pursuing its current policy, will lose even more

I believe that they [the PSL], pursuing the policy they are pursuing at the moment, will lose even more. Four weeks ago, Władek Kosiniak-Kamysz and I were jumping, holding hands and shouting ‘united opposition’. That was the biggest message” – said the leader of SLD, Włodzimierz Czarzasty, in an interview with Jacek Żakowski on Radio TOK FM's Poranek.

Władek Kosiniak seems to dislike everything and has some goal, which I actually don't know what it is” – he added.

Schetyna on Opposition Talks: "Next Week is the Last Sejm Session, It Starts on Wednesday, and This is the Time to Conclude Talks and Make a Decision"
"Certainly yes [there is a deadline], even though the elections have not been announced yet. We all expect them at the end of July or the beginning of August. I believe that the finalization of the entire structure we are working on must happen next week. It is the last Sejm session, it starts on Wednesday, and this is the time to conclude talks and make a decision" - stated Grzegorz Schetyna in an interview with Beata Michniewicz on "Trójka's Political Salon". - I will be extending an invitation to the members of the European Coalition, because I believe that our result of 38.5% in the European elections in May this year is a good forecast and a good investment for the October outcome, and therefore I would want all those who formed this coalition to be part of the new one we are preparing. The question is whether everyone will want to accept the invitation. I believe it is possible" - added the PO chairman.

08:35

Schetyna:

It's no secret, PSL leaders are talking about limiting the European Coalition. They don't want to cooperate with the left.
- I spoke yesterday [with Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz] and I am scheduled to speak again today. We are refining our expectations and mutual assessments. We have cooperated closely for years and continue to do so. [An agreement] is not imminent because there still needs to be openness and clarification of details regarding the program. We are proponents of a programmatic basis for the coalition or cooperation between parties. It's no secret, and President Kosiniak speaks about it very openly, as do other PSL leaders, that they want to limit the European Coalition. They do not want to cooperate with the left - stated Grzegorz Schetyna in an interview with Beata Michniewicz on "Trójka's Political Salon". - I won't hide the fact that there is no agreement from the PSL here, there is no acceptance of the previous composition of the European Coalition to simply repeat it. It's about the presence of the left. Doubts have emerged, but in my opinion, they are outside the debate and beyond the issue. Both Nowoczesna and Inicjatywa Polska, as well as Katarzyna Lubnauer and Barbara Nowacka, are part of the Civic Coalition. We ran together in the local elections, we campaigned in the European elections, and we will campaign in the parliamentary elections. This is beyond question - emphasized the PO chairman. - I will be very open to renewing the offer of cooperation once again, but if there is no positive response, then it will be the PSL's decision to go it alone - he stressed.

The Truth About Their Plans Lies in Opposition Politicians' Statements. PiS Launches Website Just Before KO Program Forum

- During the Platform's program forum, more empty promises will certainly be made. Meanwhile, the truth about their plans lies in the statements of opposition politicians. You can see for yourself here - wrote PiS Deputy Spokesperson Radosław Fogiel on Twitter.

The ruling party, just tens of minutes before the Civic Coalition convention began, launched a special website, "The Real Civic Coalition Program Forum," where it recalls statements by opposition politicians regarding 500+, retirement age, refugees, and foreign policy.

Our interlocutors close to the ruling party emphasize that PiS is once again a step ahead of the opposition, and Platforma made a mistake by not purchasing domain names.

08:53

Schetyna:

Being Anti-PiS Isn't Enough

- It's not enough to be anti-PiS, and I say this with full responsibility. We will present it, I warmly invite you. Six program blocks - stated Grzegorz Schetyna in an interview with Beata Michniewicz on "Trójka Salon Polityczny".

09:00

Schetyna:

Such Words Are Unnecessary and Don't Build Good Relations Between the PSL and Civic Platform. I Mean Biernacki
It is always the decision of each political party leader how to treat those who leave or depart. I will never accept those who, after several, a dozen or so, sometimes more years, turn their backs and speak ill of the environment in which they were for many, many years. Marek Biernacki [I mean him]. I believe such words are unnecessary and do not build good relations between the PSL and the Civic Platform. I will not quote him; you can look up his quotes. It is not my role to quote those who speak ill of their friends or former political friends from the Civic Platform – stated Grzegorz Schetyna in an interview with Beata Michniewicz on "Trójka's Political Salon".

09:29

Sawicki:

I want Schetyna to stop Hamletizing, to define himself clearly, to give the left free rein if he doesn't want to join them, or release us from further negotiations on the moderate center.

- I would like Grzegorz Schetyna to stop Hamletizing, to define himself clearly, to give the left free rein if he doesn't want to go with them, or release us from further negotiations on the moderate center, because we also have partners and today we are sitting with these partners, we are talking. This is not about blaming anyone. This is about whether we have an active project or not. We accepted this active project on June 1st, we are inviting to it, and so in reality I said: there is no point in waiting any longer – stated Marek Sawicki in an interview with Wojciech Dąbrowski on Polsat News' "Graffiti".

10:15

Schetyna:

Poland is Freedom, and there can be no doubts about that. I believe a new Poland will be born from our conversation.
"Poland is freedom, and there can be no doubts about that. We are meeting to talk, because that is how we understand democracy, its essence and meaning. The good of the people is the goal, and power is the means to achieve it. Never the other way around. This is the way to bring decency, selflessness, and truth into politics. Then lies and manipulation disappear. Let's talk, because conversation is a good beginning to everything. I believe a new Poland will be born from our conversation" - said PO Chairman Grzegorz Schetyna during the Civic Forum of the Civic Coalition.

10:19

Schetyna:

Our task is to unite Poles and create a true community. Even people from political poles like Ujazdowski and Nowacka will find common ground to build a new Poland.
“In addition to political factions, parties, and non-governmental organizations, civic activists and local government officials will find a special place. We will also reserve spots on the lists for outstanding individuals not affiliated with any group. We will ensure a full parity of women and men. This will be a true civic coalition,” said Civic Platform chairman Grzegorz Schetyna during the Civic Coalition's Civic Forum.

“Our task is to unite Poles and create a true community. Even people from political poles like Kazimierz Ujazdowski and Barbara Nowacka will find common ground to build a new Poland,” he added.

10:23

Schetyna:

If for someone the difference between Civic Coalition and the ruling party today is only about who can get more positions, then we have nothing to discuss
“There can only be one thing that is not allowed. I will never agree to introduce transactional politics into our coalition. If for someone the difference between the Civic Coalition and the ruling party today is only about who can get more positions, then we have nothing to discuss. If someone only reasons on the principle of who will give more, then they do not fit with us” – said PO leader Grzegorz Schetyna during the Civic Coalition's Civic Forum.

10:25

Schetyna:

If the question of the retirement age, of 67 years, is asked, we admit – it was a mistake

If the question of the retirement age, of 67 years, is asked, we admit – it was a mistake. It could have been implemented on a voluntary basis with incentives, not through coercion. Another question I often hear is where the current authorities got the money from. People are surprised” – said PO leader Grzegorz Schetyna during the Civic Forum of the Civic Coalition.

10:27

Schetyna to PiS: Isn't it sick that thousands of talented students didn't get into high school this year? Poles aren't paying you to destroy their children's dreams

- Isn't it sick that thousands of talented students, including those with excellent grades, didn't get into high school this year? A representative of this government, responsible for the mess, dared to tell them that dreams don't always come true. The Deputy Minister of Science suggested that students who didn't get into any school can look for one abroad. Poles aren't paying you to destroy their children's dreams. This is extreme arrogance and impudence – said Grzegorz Schetyna during the Civic Coalition's Program Forum.

10:32

Schetyna:

Our victory will be Poland's victory. We will win

- I am curious about the outcome of our talks today and tomorrow. Yours, our shared diagnosis, and shared prescriptions. Tomorrow, we will present the directions of our program. At its center will be people. Those who work hard so their children receive a good education and who care day and night for their elderly parents, whom the state unfortunately forgets today. The theses of our program will be supplemented, and perhaps corrected if necessary, by what is developed in this forum. I am glad that Poland is starting to talk. I believe this is the first step towards its healing. Our victory will be Poland's victory. We will win – said Grzegorz Schetyna during the Civic Coalition Program Forum.

10:44

Schetyna:

We must not focus on what divides us. We are different. That's no discovery, but there are matters that unite us and are worth fighting for together.

We must not focus on what divides us. We are different. That's no discovery. There are matters that unite us and must unite us, that are important and that are worth fighting for together” - said PO leader Grzegorz Schetyna during the Civic Forum of the Civic Coalition.

PSL-KP MP Responds to Schetyna: Whether We Want It or Not, a Higher Retirement Age is a Necessity

Radosław Lubczyk, a Member of Parliament for PSL-Koalicja Polska, responds to Grzegorz Schetyna: raising the retirement age was not a mistake, because it is a necessity.

The parliamentarian first published his tweet at 10:38 AM, then deleted it and published a corrected version shortly after 11 AM. This last one is also no longer available, although the MP wrote in another tweet that "the retirement age must be raised".

NEWS 300POLITYKI: Jarosław Kaczyński to Present 41 Parliamentary List Leaders on Saturday. PiS Strategist:

"A Cohesive Team Against Question Marks on the Opposition's Side
On Saturday morning, Jarosław Kaczyński will present the 41 lead candidates for the United Right's parliamentary lists – 300POLITYKA has learned. PiS has a plan to demonstrate that it remains several steps ahead of the opposition, which is mired in chaos incomprehensible to voters. We are to learn the electoral district where the Prime Minister will run, as well as the announcement of the candidacy of some ministers who have not previously been considered for parliamentary roles. The inner leadership of PiS convened several times this week. The proposal for the distribution of lead candidates was approved by the Political Committee presidium on Wednesday and discussed with PiS's coalition partners the following day. Politicians with whom we spoke emphasized the tight information control maintained during this process, which involved dozens of people, demonstrating the political discipline of the PiS machinery. The PiS campaign staff has been meeting daily each morning for several weeks at Nowogrodzka Street, with an increasing personal presence of the PiS leader and the Prime Minister. PiS strategists have meticulously prepared for the Civic Platform's (KO) program convention. "Perhaps even better than the organizers themselves," says one PiS politician about the online service "Prawdziwe Forum Programowe Koalicji Obywatelskiej" (The Real Civic Platform Program Forum), accessible at forumprogramoweko.pl. "The truth about their plans is hidden in the statements of opposition politicians," says Radosław Fogiel, deputy spokesperson for PiS. On the main day of the KO's program convention, PiS, in addition to promoting the service built around the most unfortunate statements by opposition politicians, intends to release three online spots. On Saturday, they will strike with the presentation of 41 parliamentary lead candidates, which will inevitably be contrasted in the media with the question marks surrounding the opposition's political configurations.

12:24

Schetyna:

Tomorrow We Will Present 6 Key Programmatic Points That Will Form the Foundation of the Civic Coalition's Program

We are preparing the main programmatic points. There will be 6 of them, which we will present tomorrow, and they will be the foundation of the Civic Coalition's program with which we will go into the elections. Everything depends on the coalition partners, but we are discussing this program. I am convinced that we will be able to write it together, but these agreements will be the basis” - stated PO leader Grzegorz Schetyna during the KO Programmatic Forum.

12:27

Schetyna:

Final Decision on Electoral Coalition Structure Next Wednesday During Civic Platform's National Board Meeting

We are talking today, we will be talking next week. The final decision I want to make will be a decision of the National Board of Civic Platform, taken next Wednesday. This will be the end of this construction of creating an electoral coalition for the 2019 elections” - said the leader of Civic Platform, Grzegorz Schetyna, during the KO Program Forum.

The statement by the PiS leader is scheduled for tomorrow at 11:00 AM. As we wrote on 300POLITYCE, on Saturday morning Jarosław Kaczyński will present the 41 lead candidates for the United Right's electoral lists. PiS has a plan to demonstrate that it remains several steps ahead of the opposition, which is currently mired in a chaos that is incomprehensible to voters. Emilewicz at Miasto Plus Conference: "We Invite Residents and Local Governments to Co-Create This Program"
Miasto Plus (City Plus) begins its story in Chełmno, and I hope that a positive signal will emanate from here to all local governments in Poland. We invite you to cooperate, to fill out the surveys. We invite residents and local governments to co-create this program. We are defining problems in metropolitan cities, large cities, cities that have lost their provincial status, and county towns, but this certainly does not exhaust the entire catalog. We are defining those areas where cooperation between the government and local authorities can bring developmental effects for the entire country. In most cases, these boil down to one sentence: improving the quality of life. In large cities, this will involve improving air quality, transport, attracting new investments, and creating important, high-value jobs. In the second tier of cities, improving life will be linked to job creation, both by public administration which will locate its offices there, but also by attracting investments that simply no longer fit into these main, large cities today. And finally, improving infrastructure, the quality of life through revitalization – stated Jadwiga Emilewicz in Chełmno at a conference concerning the Miasto Plus program. We mentioned that in large cities, this is connected with spatial order, spatial arrangement, and the organization of these city centers, as well as one of the slogans that appeared on our map – revitalization of large panel blocks. This means bringing back to society those residents who are now very elderly, live on the fourth floors, in buildings without elevators. In medium-sized cities, revitalization means new social, cultural, and recreational infrastructure, and finally, for the smallest ones, it means tackling the transportation problem: how to ensure that people can travel to and from these cities, potentially for work, how to make it enjoyable to go for a walk, how to make it a good place to live and spend time, and finally, how to create jobs. How to address the often double-digit unemployment in these islands, which demonstrates the sickness of the disconnect between large cities and the smallest ones in Poland, so that this unemployment simply ceases to exist – she added.

14:35

Gowin:

The United Right Camp Lost in Large and Medium Cities, but Election Results Show it's Possible to Govern Poland Without Their Support. The Question is, Can One Govern Wisely and Effectively Without the Capital Accumulated There.

We, the United Right camp, lost the elections in the cities. Both large and medium-sized ones. The results of the local government and European elections show that we can govern Poland without significant support in the cities. The question is, can one govern wisely and effectively in the long term without cities, without the intellectual capital, competence capital, and social capital accumulated there? That is why Porozumienie is preparing a proposal for a social contract between the United Right camp and the residents of large and medium-sized cities. We want to convince them that our camp has the best idea for Poland's development, which should unite forces beyond political divisions. For the good and development of Poland, we are ready to cooperate with everyone” – said Deputy Prime Minister Jarosław Gowin.

14:35

Gowin:

Without Strong Self-Government, There Will Be No Strong State. We Want to Convince Our Partners from PiS and Solidarna Polska of This View

The United Right camp is building a strong state, a strong, capable, effective one. In many cases, we have already proven that we are capable of building such a state. An example of this can be the very effective fight against the VAT mafia. Largely thanks to the victory over this mafia, over other groups that were draining the Polish budget through unfair practices, thanks to the victorious fight against these interest groups, we can implement such broad social programs” - said Deputy Prime Minister Jarosław Gowin.

A strong state also means a strong self-government. It is impossible to build a strong Poland solely on the basis of central administration. Without strong self-government, there will be no strong state. We want to convince our partners from PiS and Solidarna Polska of this view” - he added.

Rule of Law, Environmental Protection, Health, Education, and the "Higher Wages" Program: Neumann Outlines the Thematic Areas of Schetyna's "Six"
"We will present solutions in these areas, which in our opinion are priorities in building a new Poland. Firstly, restoring the rule of law and the state of law. Secondly, environmental and climate protection, ecology, the fight against plastic, the waste that is flooding us, but also taking care of water and ensuring that Poland does not dry up. Thirdly, health, which is in a catastrophic state today; after experiments, we must do everything so that people are not afraid to go to emergency rooms, so that they can easily see a specialist doctor within an acceptable timeframe. Fourthly, education, which has been... and today we have the best examples and effects of this, when teenagers with their dream schools cannot get into them because we have a double cohort. Fifthly, 'higher wages,' which Poles need to catch up with Europe. These are the elements we will be presenting," said Sławomir Neumann, head of the Civic Platform-Civic Coalition (PO-KO) parliamentary club, in an interview with editor Roch Kowalski for TOK FM.

16:48

Duda:

There are still those who shout: we will raise. I hope no one raises the retirement age, and in any case, wise authorities will absolutely not allow it

- Not everything can be accomplished at once. We managed to lower the retirement age. People said it couldn't be done. There are still those who shout: we will raise. I hope no one raises the retirement age, and in any case, wise authorities will absolutely not allow anyone to undertake such actions – said President Andrzej Duda during a visit to Szczecinek.

18:41

WKK:

Only a Centrist and a Left-Wing Bloc Stand a Chance Against PiS. We Don't See a Willingness in PO's Leadership to Build a Centrist Bloc

- In the resolution, we had a specific obligation and a desire to engage in talks with Civic Platform. Such talks were initiated this week. The offer of seat division on the lists presented by our long-standing coalition partner - Civic Platform - was very attractive. But this is not about the politics of seats, not about bartering for seats, not about packing ourselves into the Sejm. This is about Poland, and one should not haggle over Poland - said Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz in the Sejm.

- This is our proposal. The construction of two blocs that have a chance to defeat PiS. Only a centrist bloc and a left-wing bloc have a chance to defeat PiS in the upcoming elections. We do not see a willingness in the leadership of Civic Platform to build a centrist bloc. And we want to build a centrist bloc - the Polish Coalition, which offers a chance for distinct views - added the PSL leader.

19:51

Ujazdowski:

I Greatly Fear a Scenario with Three Lists, Where the Left and PSL Lists Fare Poorly, Making a PiS Victory Highly Probable

- I genuinely wish [the opposition] well, and on several occasions in this studio, I have had the opportunity to speak about the need for a broad coalition. A strong, broad coalition, and I was very critical of the hasty dismantling of the European Coalition. I greatly fear a scenario where there will be three lists, and these two, namely the left-wing and PSL lists, will achieve such a poor result that a victory for PiS will be very, very probable. This could be the effect of splitting the opposition – stated Kazimierz Michał Ujazdowski in an interview with Grzegorz Kajdanowicz on TVN24's "Fakty po faktach".

19:53

Karczewski:

We Never Said the 500+ Program Would Yield Immediate Results

- We never said that the 500+ program would yield immediate results. It takes time, just like in science, just like in medicine. I wanted to compare our congress to scientific congresses. Besides, the President said that we would pursue knowledge-based policy. This is very significant and important. The trend needs to be determined – said Stanisław Karczewski in an interview with Piotr Witwicki on the program "Wydarzenia i Opinie" (Events and Opinions) on Polsat News.

19:57

Karczewski:

Poles Expect Primarily Stability, Not the Revolution Proposed by PO in 21 Points

- Poles expect primarily stability, not revolution. Not the revolution that Civic Platform proposes in its 21 points – stated Stanisław Karczewski in an interview with Piotr Witwicki on the program "Wydarzenia i Opinie" (Events and Opinions) on Polsat News.

20:00

Karczewski on Bonkowski's Speech: I Didn't Like Those Words, They Shouldn't Have Been Said

- I didn't like those words, they shouldn't have been said. We should conduct a substantive debate, have arguments. We shouldn't insult each other - said Stanisław Karczewski in an interview with Piotr Witwicki on the Polsat News program "Events and Opinions".

Budka on PSL's Solo Run: 'If They Decide on This Move, They Could Actually Become PiS's Future Coalition Partner, Provided They Even Enter Parliament'

20:11

Budka:

We Are a Centrist Group

- We are a centrist group. The largest opposition party. Nowoczesna, Inicjatywa Polska, plus local government officials, this is a very strong center - said Borys Budka in an interview with Piotr Witwicki on the program "Wydarzenia i Opinie" on Polsat News.

20:13

President Duda on Ostrowice Commune's Bankruptcy: Government-Local Government Cooperation Successfully Resolved the Issue. Thank You for This Pro-State Stance

I wanted to thank the governor and Minister Szefernaker. In this area [Drawsko Pomorskie], there was a big problem. For the first time, it happened that a commune collapsed, went bankrupt. The problem was enormous. There had not been such a case before, and initially, it wasn't very clear how to deal with it. It must be said that thanks to the minister's determination, thanks to the cooperation between the government and local government, the district, the governor, and neighboring communes, this issue was successfully resolved, and this is a great credit to you, because it was a big test. Thank you for this pro-state stance and great work. It shows that local and central authorities are thinking about the common man” - said President Andrzej Duda in Drawsko Pomorskie about the Ostrowice commune.

20:14

Budka on Retirement Age: Schetyna Said Imposing a Solution Was a Mistake

- In a clear and understandable way, Grzegorz Schetyna said that imposing a certain solution was a mistake, that Poles should have a choice. But an informed choice. Not wishful thinking - said Borys Budka in an interview with Piotr Witwicki on the program "Wydarzenia i Opinie" on Polsat News.

20:22

Gowin's Party Bets on Political and Economic Innovations to Show the Right the Value of Engaging with Cities. Chełm to Be the Showcase.
- The results of the recent elections show that the United Right can win without the cities. But in the long run, you cannot govern without them - Jarosław Gowin repeats, adding that one cannot escape the intellectual and cultural hinterland accumulated in urban centers. Solar installations as a remedy for the requirement to balance coal with renewable energy, relocating public institutions outside of Warsaw, increasing the number of small and medium-sized enterprises participating in public tenders – these are just some of the issues through which Jarosław Gowin's party wants to familiarize city residents with the right-wing. And to convince the right-wing that it is needed by the broad ruling camp to build a bridge to urban voters. Chełm, governed by a young right-wing politician, is to become the showcase of the idea of deglomeration – an idea that germinated some time ago within the Jagiellonian Club environment: relocating some public institutions to smaller centers. - We are talking about relocating the call center of one of the larger public institutions to Chełm. In Chełm, following ZUS, NFZ will also move its Shared Services Center, and a branch of the Institute of Electrotechnics has already been established. This amounts to 300 good, stable jobs. This is deglomeration in earnest and the relocation of public functions to smaller centers - Jakub Banaszek, the youngest mayor of a Polish city, a politician from Jarosław Gowin's party, who quite unexpectedly won the last presidential election in Chełm, tells 300POLITYCE. At least 31 central government offices could potentially be located outside of Warsaw – these are the conclusions from the report "Conditions for the Relocation of Central Offices in Poland," prepared by experts at the request of the Ministry of Entrepreneurship and Technology. The head of the ministry presented the report in Chełm. - We are talking about approximately PLN 163.2 billion in 2017 and as much as PLN 202 billion in 2018. We want this money, instead of going to a narrow group of beneficiaries as before, to strengthen Polish companies - Emilewicz tells us during the program congress in Chełm. In mid-August, the ministry headed by Emilewicz will announce a tender for the largest solar installation in Poland, which is to be built by October on the roof of the ministry building at Plac 3 Krzyży in Warsaw. This, in turn, is to illustrate the changes accepted by the Council of Ministers as part of the so-called prosumer package, under which small companies will be able to generate electricity in micro-installations and benefit from the feed-in tariff system. The government claims that "solars" – with credit support from, for example, PKO BP – will, by the end of this year, match the installed capacity of a single power unit with a capacity of approximately 200 MW.

Bielan:

Bonkowski's Remark about 'Frau Dulkiewicz' Unnecessary, but Gdańsk Authorities' Reference to Nazi Free City of Danzig Completely Incomprehensible
“I think it was unnecessary [Senator Bonkowski’s remark about 'Frau Dulkiewicz']. I agree with statements that suggest that in the case of many actions by PO politicians in Gdańsk, we are dealing with at least irresponsibility and ignorance. Referencing the Nazi Free City of Danzig. This was a body where the Nazis gained the greatest support, more than in the Third Reich. In the Free City of Danzig, Poles were persecuted. Referring to this symbolism is something completely [incomprehensible]” – said MEP Adam Bielan in an interview with Grzegorz Kajdanowicz on „Fakty po Faktach” on TVN24.

20:41

Bielan:

We Absolutely Cannot Underestimate the Opponent, Because This Will Be a Fight for Everything

- We absolutely cannot underestimate the opponent, because this will be a fight for everything. We said that the elections in May would be very important. Those were important elections, elections to the EP, but certainly the autumn elections will be even more important, and the opposition understands this perfectly. Regardless of the composition in which they go into these elections, we will have to do an enormous amount of work in this campaign to maintain these good poll results on election day - stated Adam Bielan in an interview with Grzegorz Kajdanowicz on TVN24's "Fakty po faktach".

Bielan:

Szydło's Individual Electoral Success in Poland Impressed Brussels, Leading to Rejection of Her Candidacy for EP Committee Chair

I believe it was precisely [Szydło's individual electoral success] that made an impression, and this impression led to the rejection of her candidacy [for EP committee chair]. Most politicians in Brussels, eurocrats, were convinced for a year or two before the European elections that the opposition in Poland would win these elections. Politicians from Civic Platform, PSL, and SLD reinforced this belief. For them, this election result was a shock” – said MEP Adam Bielan in an interview with Grzegorz Kajdanowicz on “Fakty po Faktach” on TVN24.
