-- TUSK ON THE BERLIN MEETING: TO POSSIBLY CONCLUDE TALKS ON A CEASEFIRE IN UKRAINE - 300LIVE: https://300polityka.pl/pl/live/2025-12-15/
-- WE SHOULD SUPPORT UKRAINE AND WE DO, BUT WE OFTEN DON'T FEEL LIKE PARTNERS IN THIS RELATIONSHIP - PRESIDENT KAROL NAWROCKI IN CONVERSATION WITH MATEUSZ RATAJCZAK, HEAD OF VIRTUALL POLSKA NEWS, AND MICHAŁ WRÓBLEWSKI: “We should support Ukraine, and we do. At the same time, we should achieve – and I believe I will succeed – a partnership treatment of Poland by Ukraine. The conflict has been going on for nearly four years, and I have the impression that we – Poles – often do not feel like partners in this relationship.”
-- AS PRESIDENT, I CANNOT, DO NOT WANT TO, AND WILL NOT AGREE TO PUTTING POLAND IN THE ROLE OF MERELY AN "ANTECHAMBER" OR "CORRIDOR" IN MATTERS THAT ARE STRATEGICALLY IMPORTANT TO US - CONTINUES THE PRESIDENT IN WP: “As president, I cannot, do not want to, and will not agree to putting Poland in the role of merely an 'antechamber' or 'corridor' in matters that are strategically important to us. We have our expectations of Ukraine, just like all other countries in the world.”
-- OVER THE PAST YEARS, PRESIDENT ZELENSKY HAS BECOME ACCUSTOMED TO A SITUATION WHERE HE TAKES POLAND FOR GRANTED - PRESIDENT NAWROCKI CONTINUES IN WP: “Poland is extremely important to Ukraine, and Ukraine should clearly feel this. It is impossible to provide support without Poland; it is simply impossible. I have the feeling that President Volodymyr Zelensky has, over the past years, become accustomed to a situation where he takes Poland for granted. There's no need to agree on anything with us, no need to talk, because we were there and gave everything.”
-- OBVIOUSLY, HE IS NOT A RESPECTED PLAYER. THIS IS NOT GOOD NEWS EITHER FOR ME AS THE PRESIDENT OF POLAND, OR – MORE IMPORTANTLY – FOR POLES - FRAGMENT OF WP'S INTERVIEW WITH THE PRESIDENT: “In the formats where we should be present – for example, in the so-called 'Coalition of the Willing' – the Prime Minister represents us. And it's probably not a surprise to the public that the Prime Minister maintains good relations with the German Chancellor and the President of the European Commission. In this area, we grant him full freedom. The Prime Minister has repeatedly stated publicly that these are formats for him.
- And Prime Minister Tusk is a respected player in this format?
- Obviously, he is not a respected player. This is not good news either for me as the President of Poland, or – more importantly – for Poles.”
-- ZELENSKY TAKES POLAND FOR GRANTED AS A STABLE, OBVIOUS VALUE, AROUND WHICH NO PARTICULAR MOVES ARE NEEDED, AND HE IS DECIDEDLY MORE COMFORTABLE OPERATING AMONG WESTERN EUROPEAN LEADERS - STILL PRESIDENT NAWROCKI IN WP: “One might assume that Volodymyr Zelensky should be the main party interested in Poland's presence at the negotiating table. This would be the case if our relations were properly arranged. Meanwhile, President Zelensky takes Poland for granted as a stable, obvious value, around which no special moves are needed, and he decidedly prefers to operate among Western European leaders.”
-- DONALD TUSK HAS CEASED TO BE AN ATTRACTIVE PARTNER FOR TALKS WITH WESTERN EUROPEAN LEADERS, TO WHOM HE HAS REPEATEDLY REFERRED - SAYS THE PRESIDENT IN WP: “Donald Tusk has ceased to be an attractive partner for talks with Western European leaders, to whom he has repeatedly referred. I am doing what I can. Since Donald Tusk cannot get through by phone, I am developing formats such as the Visegrad Group (comprising Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary - editor's note) and the Three Seas Initiative (comprising Austria, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Greece, Lithuania, Latvia, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Hungary - editor's note).”
-- I LEAVE FORMATS DOMINATED BY LEADERS OF A LIBERAL PROFILE TO PRIME MINISTER DONALD TUSK - CONTINUES THE PRESIDENT IN WP: “I leave formats dominated by leaders of a liberal profile to Prime Minister Donald Tusk. Upon entering the Presidential Palace, I found a situation where the Prime Minister is in the 'Coalition of the Willing,' where he has – as he himself emphasizes – very good relations with Chancellor Merz, and he also tells all Poles that no one in Europe will 'outplay' him.
-- DONALD TUSK IS THE PRIME MINISTER TODAY, SO – IN MY ASSESSMENT, IN THE CURRENT SITUATION – HE IS DOING MORE HARM TO POLAND - THE PRESIDENT ANSWERS WP'S QUESTION ABOUT WHETHER HE IS CLOSER TO TUSK OR BRAUN: “Answering such a question requires pragmatism. Donald Tusk is the Prime Minister today, so – in my assessment, in the current situation – he is doing more harm to Poland. It is his policy that leads to crises: in Polish public finances, in healthcare, and in Poland's potential on the international stage. Therefore, this question should be related to the real capabilities of both politicians at this moment.”https://wiadomosci.wp.pl/tusk-przestal-byc-szanownym-graczem-prezydent-karol-nawrocki-dla-wp-7232430964087744a
-- THE RULING PARTY WAS MEANT TO SHOW THAT WESTERN LEADERS CANNOT DO WITHOUT POLAND. IT QUICKLY TURNED OUT THAT THEY ABSOLUTELY CAN - DR RAFAŁ CHWEDORUK IN CONVERSATION WITH DANIEL DROB IN GAZETA.PL: “The ruling party was meant to show that Western leaders cannot do without Poland. It quickly turned out that they absolutely can do without it. We must bear in mind that Western circles are in crisis. Macron's approval rating is a parody, Merz is one of the weakest, if not the weakest, CDU/CSU chancellors in history; in Germany, a coalition of two major parties that achieved historically some of the worst results is in power. Starmer is also rated very poorly; he has ruined everything that could be ruined right from the start. I am not convinced that being present in these crisis-ridden circles would be so beneficial for us. However, I have no doubt that pragmatism, flexibility, adapting to changing circumstances, and a certain dose of humility would be a better investment for the Polish government.”
-- TUSK HAS SHOWN THAT HE HAS AGENCY, MAINTAINED HIS LEADERSHIP WITHIN THE PARTY AND THE LIBERAL CAMP, BUT THIS DOES NOT CHANGE THE FACT THAT THE PRIME MINISTER'S NEGATIVE ELECTORATE IS VERY LARGE - CONTINUES CHWEDORUK AT DROB'S IN GAZETA: “Tusk has shown that he has agency, maintained his leadership within the party and the liberal camp, and signaled that a major march of the right to power is not imminent. This does not change the fact that the Prime Minister's negative electorate is very large. Restoring trust levels in the government, where those who trust significantly outnumber those who distrust, is difficult to imagine. From the government's perspective, it will be crucial to mobilize all supporters for the elections and demobilize some of those voters who distrust the government.”https://wiadomosci.gazeta.pl/polityka/7,198012,32466878,koalicja-na-trzy-z-plusem-w-dwoch-dziedzinach-mieli-strategiczna.html
-- IN POLLS, KO IS STRENGTHENING, PIS IS WEAKENING, BUT TUSK AND CZARZASTY WOULD GET JUST OVER 200 SEATS TODAY; YOUNG PEOPLE DON'T WANT THEM, AND A JOINT LIST WOULD MEAN LOSSES - PIOTR PACEWICZ IN OKO.PRESS: “Tusk's success is, however, bittersweet, because KO's lead does not give a chance for continued governance with the current partners. The combined support of KO, Lewica, PSL, and Polska 2050 currently stands at only 43.2 percent. This would translate to an electoral result¹ of around 45-46 percent, which is as much as 8 percentage points less than in the October 2023 elections, when KO, NL, and TD together achieved a record 53.7 percent. And here lies the (democratic) catch. Tusk and Czarzasty can only count on the questionable pleasure of opposition benches in the Sejm dominated by the right-wing (with the possibility of a completely different venue when Kaczyński begins his reckonings).”
-- IT IS CLEAR AS DAY THAT THE POLITICAL DISPUTE BETWEEN KO AND PIS ONLY ENGAGES OLDER GENERATIONS - PACEWICZ STILL IN OKO: “It is clear as day that the political dispute between KO and PiS only engages older generations. The orange line of KO and the navy blue of PiS rise with the age of voters like DNA strands, with KO having an advantage starting from those in their forties. Tusk gains the most from people aged 60+, because this age category already numbers over 10 million people, which constitutes exactly one-third of the electorate. It is surprising that Kaczyński (born 1949) once built his advantage on the oldest Polish men and women, and today Tusk (born 1957) is doing the same.”
-- EITHER KACZYŃSKI AND MENTZEN WILL AGREE WITH BRAUN AND HAVE A MAJORITY OF 252 SEATS, OR TUSK WILL AGREE WITH MENTZEN AND THEY WILL HAVE 255 SEATS - PACEWICZ CONTINUES TO WRITE IN OKO: “If we were to count the deputies who might enter the Sejm in two years, then 'arithmetically' two solutions would emerge: either Kaczyński and Mentzen will agree with Braun (and they will have a majority of 252 seats), or Tusk will agree with Mentzen (and they will have 255 seats). From the perspective of the prospects for a democratic rule of law state, both solutions mean disaster, but the first guarantees us authoritarianism, this time in a hard version, and the political revenge of PiS could know no bounds.”
-- IT IS BECOMING INCREASINGLY CLEAR THAT KAROL NAWROCKI CAN CAUSE TROUBLE IN THE ENTIRE RIGHT-WING POWER STRUGGLE (PiS – Konfederacja – KKP) - CLAIMS PIOTR PACEWICZ IN OKO: “It is becoming increasingly clear that Karol Nawrocki can cause trouble in the entire right-wing power struggle (PiS – Konfederacja – KKP), if he wants to, and most importantly, if he can act as a patron of a new arrangement. Shortly after the elections, we predicted that PiS would slowly leave the stage, and Nawrocki and Mentzen would take over.”
-- REPLACING DONALD TUSK WITH RADOSŁAW SIKORSKI FOR THE FINAL MONTHS OF THE ELECTION CAMPAIGN COULD INTRODUCE NEW POLITICAL DYNAMICS - PACEWICZ AGAIN: “Replacing Donald Tusk with Radosław Sikorski for the final months of the election campaign could introduce new political dynamics. Especially since the government is regaining energy and has a chance to deliver some successes. This opens up space for going on the offensive and awakening the enthusiasm of voters on a par with 2023. Such a reaction, however, would have to be based on a bold vision of a democratic rule of law state in defense against the threat from the Polish alt-right. For now, one can only dream that the forces once called pro-democratic, instead of succumbing to national narratives about the Polish family, school, or border, would opt for European values, open patriotism, and human rights, even if that human is not a heterosexual Pole.”https://oko.press/sondaze-albo-prawica-z-braunem-albo-tusk-z-mentzenem
-- AT THE EU COUNCIL SESSION ON MARCH 10, 2022, IT WAS CHANCELLOR SCHOLZ AND PRESIDENT MACRON WHO RULED OUT THE OPTION OF FREEZING RUSSIAN ASSETS, NOT VIKTOR ORBÁN - MATEUSZ MORAWIECKI IN CONVERSATION WITH ALESSANDRA MUGLIA IN CORRIERE DELLA SERA: “Freezing frozen Russian assets? I proposed this at the beginning of the war,” smiles Mateusz Morawiecki, wrapped in a blue coat, fresh from taking a selfie on stage in Atreju with Giorgia Meloni. At the EU Council session on March 10, 2022, “it was Chancellor Scholz and President Macron who ruled out this option, not Viktor Orbán, nor even Robert Fico. Orbán is not to blame for every deadlock in the Union; it is the conflicting interests of member states that divide it.”
-- IF WE FORCE COUNTRIES TO ADOPT A UNIFIED STANCE ON MIGRANTS, THE GREEN DEAL, AND SECURITY, THE UNION WILL FAIL - MORAWIECKI CONTINUES IN CORRIERE: “Of course, if Europe spoke with one voice, its voice would be heard better. However, the interests of the countries are truly diverse, and if we push too hard for universal solutions, we will achieve nothing. If we force countries to adopt a unified stance on migrants, the Green Deal, and security, the Union will fail. It is better to strive for a lower common denominator and save the EU.”
-- NOW EVERYONE IS TALKING ABOUT ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE, WE HAVE THE MOST COMPREHENSIVE MANUALS AND THE STRICTEST REGULATIONS, BUT WE DON'T HAVE ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE: THIS IS NOT CONDUCIVE TO INNOVATION - MORAWIECKI CONTINUES IN CORRIERE: “The question contains a premise with which I disagree: that EU policy is beneficial for all countries. This is not true: as prime minister, I witnessed a very unpleasant attack on my government from Brussels. I see madness surrounding the Green Deal. I see fatal management of illegal immigration. Another example: now everyone is talking about artificial intelligence, we have the most comprehensive manuals and the strictest regulations, but we don't have artificial intelligence: this is not conducive to innovation.
-- THERE IS NO CHOICE. THE WHITE HOUSE MAY BE DISTANT AND HAVE DIFFERENT INTERESTS, IT MAY BE A DIFFICULT PARTNER, BUT AT LEAST IT HAS REAL POWER. IN THE EU, THEY HAVE NO ARMY, POLITICAL POWER, OR THE WILL TO SUPPORT THE SECURITY OF MEMBER STATES - MORAWIECKI TELLS CORRIERE: “There is no choice. The White House may be distant and have different interests, it may be a difficult partner, but at least it has real power. In the EU, they have no army, political power, or the will to support the security of member states. No one else can replace the United States as our partner. In Poland, when I was prime minister, I worked hard to create a strong national army and develop our arms industry, because this can be our security shield, and I would rely on that above all else.”
-- MORAWIECKI ON MUGLIA'S QUESTION WHETHER ECR IS CURRENTLY CLOSER TO EPP THAN TO PATRIOTS: “I wouldn't say so; we are somewhere in the middle. It depends on the issue. On the issue of Ukraine, we are more aligned with the European People's Party; on the issue of migrants, with the Patriots. We form new majorities with both sides, for common-sense solutions.”https://www.corriere.it/esteri/25_dicembre_15/morawiecki-ue-divisa-da-interessi-diversi-subito-dopo-l-invasione-dell-ucraina-dissi-di-usare-gli-asset-russi-ma-macron-e-scholz-927a5358-78a6-42af-92c1-f55f68950xlk.shtml
-- MEDICINES OF THE HEAD OF BBN. WE KNOW WHAT SŁAWOMIR CENCKIEWICZ CONCEALED IN HIS SECURITY QUESTIONNAIRE - WOJCIECH CZUCHNOWSKI IN GW: “We describe the medications later in the text, without specifying the name. Both act on the central nervous system; one is classified as a psychotropic, the other is psycholeptic and is life-threatening in overdose. Taking them, like psychiatric treatment, is nothing to be ashamed of or stigmatized. However, when applying for access to classified information, this cannot be concealed. (...) In 2020, Cenckiewicz consulted a specialist doctor twice (in spring and summer) and within a few months purchased five prescriptions for two drugs acting on the central nervous system prescribed to him by the doctor.”https://wyborcza.pl/7,75398,32469046,wiemy-co-bral-i-zatail-cenckiewicz.html#s=S.MT-K.C-B.1-L.1.duzy
-- MARCELINA ZAWISZA: Engaging in politics by revealing who takes what medication is a supreme act of sh*t. And it might hit you soon.https://x.com/mmzawisza/status/2000487854951264562?s=20
-- SUPREME MEDICAL COUNCIL: Information about medications taken by a patient is particularly sensitive data, and its public disclosure should never occur. NIL requests state bodies to immediately initiate a fact-finding procedure.https://x.com/NaczelnaL/status/2000473520514433031?s=20
