- In Poland, it is the parliament that elects judges. Until now, this oath has been recited before the President in the palace in such a solemn manner, but the President cannot arbitrarily choose whom he wants to see in the Constitutional Tribunal - said Waldemar Żurek at a press conference.

- I appeal to the President to invite the remaining four [judges] as soon as possible, so that the tribunal can function properly. Otherwise, it will be a clear violation of the Constitution - he continued.

- The most optimistic scenario is that tomorrow another pair will learn about the invitation, the day after tomorrow another pair, and in this way, we will finally be able to say: the Constitutional Tribunal has begun to function in a different formula, not party activists, not replacements or their successors, but legal judges. I would very much like this to happen, and in reality, this is my appeal to the President - he went on to say.

- I say: Mr. President, accept this oath - he added.
