"I am pleased to inform you that a package of 42 signed ambassadorial appointments has just arrived at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs" - wrote Radosław Sikorski on X, which turned out to be an April Fool's joke.

Marcin Przydacz responded to the Minister of Foreign Affairs' post.

"The issue of Polish ambassadors and the paralysis of the foreign service caused by Minister Sikorski is a serious matter. I don't think poor jokes are appropriate here" - wrote the Head of the International Policy Bureau of the Presidential Chancellery.

"Unfortunately, many ambassadors/heads of missions believed it and are receiving congratulations from colleagues in the diplomatic corps. Now, embarrassed, they have to explain this foolish joke. They have been humiliated. The Minister of Foreign Affairs is for upholding the prestige of the Polish diplomatic corps, not for humiliating it" - he continued.

Sprawa polskich ambasadorów i paraliżu służby zagranicznej, jaki wywołał min. Sikorski - jest sprawą poważną. Nie wydaje mi się, aby kiepskie żarty były tutaj wskazane.
