Żurek to Nawrocki:
If He Fails to Do So, He Will Grossly Violate the Constitution. We Will Then React.
- The entire narrative, the attempt to discredit the selection, has crumbled, because today we see that these judges were indeed selected correctly. How does the selection of those whom the President invited today differ from the selection of the remaining four? Not at all. Is there some alphabetical key, or did the President roll dice with numbers on them? If a 1 comes up, do we invite someone who is first alphabetically on the list, or perhaps if a 6 comes up, do we invite the one at the end? - stated Waldemar Żurek in a conversation with journalists.
- A rule of law state cannot function like this. I appeal to the President that when he receives the oath from the legal judges of the Constitutional Tribunal today, he should clearly state what will happen with the remaining four. Whether tomorrow or the day after, we will see invitations to the Chancellery. In my opinion, this is essential. The President, if he fails to do so, will of course grossly violate the Constitution. We will then react, but we cannot keep citizens in such uncertainty - the Minister of Justice continued.
