- We have lost and are continuing to lose at the gas stations too. The announcements were incredibly beautiful. However, it ends as it ends. Let me remind you what I reported three weeks ago. Three weeks ago, we submitted a draft bill, not regulations, a bill to reduce VAT from 23% to 8% and excise duty to legally set minimum rates until the end of June – also for LPG, for gas, not just for 95 and 98 octane gasoline and diesel fuel, but also for LPG, for gas, until the end of June - stated Przemysław Czarnek at a press conference.

Today, ladies and gentlemen, approximately 2.5 to 3 million drivers in Poland are filling up with gas that is several dozen percent more expensive than a month ago - he continued.

- Just a month ago, you could buy gas for a car for 2.70 PLN. Today, this gas already costs 3.89 PLN. On the way from Lublin to Warsaw, we saw gas for 3.89 PLN. This is several dozen percent more for those who drive LPG. And who drives LPG? Well, CPN, as the president seems to have said, this acronym made by Tusk, concerning his supposedly price-lowering fuel laws, both of them, and regulations, they are still omitting the poorest or still omitting the most vulnerable - the PiS candidate for prime minister continued.

- Because those who drive LPG – let's repeat – are those who really wanted to save on fuel and installed very expensive gas systems. Today they have been omitted when it comes to reductions and are paying several dozen percent more than a month ago, meaning they are paying huge bills for gas right before the holidays. The same applies to entrepreneurs. Entrepreneurs, hauliers, the president will soon speak about the situation on the transport market, but all entrepreneurs who deduct VAT, according to the government's announcement, have higher net prices for gasoline and gas today than before the reductions. There were supposed to be reductions, but there are increases for all entrepreneurs - he said.

- From a big announcement, nothing came of it. In reality, for hauliers, for entrepreneurs, even for those who drive gas, for 3 million drivers, the increases are astronomical, several dozen percent. Instead of reducing VAT and excise duty until the end of June, as we proposed, they did it until mid-April and the end of April - Czarnek emphasized.

- So they are constantly deceiving, constantly maneuvering. Instead of lowering refinery margins, they are keeping them at a high level. Right before these drops in retail prices due to VAT reduction from 23% to 8% and excise duty to minimum rates, they were increasing – as you may recall, we spoke about this over the weekend – wholesale fuel prices, so they are constantly deceiving Poles. Instead of being eliminated, the high cost is unfortunately being reinforced - he said.
