The First Element of the Procedure Has Just Been Implemented.

- Since yesterday marked 7 days since the minister had the opportunity to justify his 18th absence from Sejm sessions, and therefore, in accordance with the Sejm's Rules of Procedure, after these days passed, I have sent, and am sending today, January 29th, a letter to MP Jarosław Urbaniak, the chairman of the Committee on Regulations, MP Affairs, and Immunities, a motion, information that these absences have occurred, and a request to address this matter - stated Włodzimierz Czarzasty at a press briefing.

- Mr. Urbaniak, based on Article 22 of the Sejm's Rules of Procedure, the committee is obligated to consider my motion and pass a resolution, or not, regarding reprimanding the MP, admonishing the MP, or censuring the MP. At the moment when such a committee takes a stance during a session and conveys that stance to me, MP Ziobro will have time to appeal this decision to the Sejm Presidium. If he appeals, the decision will be reviewed. If he does not appeal, I will present a draft resolution at the Sejm Presidium regarding the loss of his parliamentary diet and a reduction of his salary to 1/10th of its amount, meaning he would receive 1350 PLN - emphasized the Marshal of the Sejm.

- The first element of this procedure has just been implemented, meaning, after the period during which Mr. Ziobro could justify himself, on the next day, which is today, I am sending the relevant motion to the Committee on Regulations. I am awaiting the committee's response. After this response, I will submit a motion to the Sejm Presidium to withhold the diet and limit the salary to 1/10th - he added.
