The Sejm will resume its session at 9:00 AM with procedural votes – this is the final day of the sitting.

At 9:15 AM, the second reading of the government's bill on the expiry of solutions arising from the act on aid to Ukrainian citizens in connection with the armed conflict on the territory of that state will commence.

At 11:00 AM, the second reading of the government's bill amending the act on the National Council of the Judiciary will take place. According to the Sejm Marshal's announcement, the proposal is expected to be adopted during this sitting, meaning today.

At 12:45 PM, the first reading of two bills concerning amendments to the act on sobriety and the prevention of alcoholism will begin.

At 4:30 PM, a two-hour block of votes will commence.
 

- I think this is a very interesting proposal. I would juxtapose it with yesterday's statement by the President of Ukraine, who directly stated that no security guarantees will work without the United States - said Mariusz Błaszczak in an interview with Karol Surówka on "Sygnały Dnia" PR1, when asked about the Peace Council.

- The Polish government should be guided by this very reasoning, namely that the United States is a real guarantor of security - he continued.

"We should be at the table when such formats are being created, not be deprived of the opportunity to influence security, our security," said Mariusz Błaszczak on PR1 during a discussion about the Peace Council.

- Donald Tusk is in reality anti-American because he is pro-German, because we have German-American rivalry, this rivalry takes place at the European Union level - said Mariusz Błaszczak on PR1.

- There is a tendency to transform the European Union into a centralized state dominated by Germany. It is extremely dangerous for the future of our country - he continued.

"This agreement [EU-Mercosur] is beneficial for Germans. Solely and exclusively for Germans, and it is extremely dangerous for Poland, for Polish agriculture. And not only in the sense that Polish agriculture will be eliminated this way, but also Polish agriculture is an important sector of our country's economy" - said Mariusz Błaszczak on PR1.

- I can imagine many things, but I hope that sanity will nevertheless prevail in these relations. This is a formula that will not have a continuation. Perhaps there will be one more meeting - stated Grzegorz Schetyna in "Jeden na jeden" on TVN24.

- This will be no platform, not like the UN or, as someone wrote, a private UN. No, it was an idea which, like many ideas from President Trump and his associates, I believe will have a political end in the coming months - he continued.

- If we lived in an ideal world, Putin wouldn't stick his nose out of the Kremlin, because every country, according to international decree, would arrest him, but we don't live in an ideal world - Radosław Fogiel said on "Gość Radia Zet".

- As we well know, and it's not a new thing, President Trump clearly states that he is primarily interested in bringing an end to the fighting in Ukraine, and I actually think that Ukrainians are also interested - Fogiel continued.

- I actually think that this question is posed correctly, and that's why, when you asked me in a nutshell, I believe that banning alcohol advertising wouldn't hurt. We remember, I don't know if all listeners remember the Bols boats and similar solutions - said Radosław Fogiel on "Gość Radia Zet".

- Work on this bill, on this reform of the National Labour Inspectorate, is ongoing, it is proceeding. Together with the Ministry of Justice, we have prepared a series of amendments, so that on the one hand we can effectively combat sham contracts, so that we can strengthen the National Labour Inspectorate, but on the other hand, strengthen the role of courts and the justice system in this process - said Agnieszka Dziemianowicz-Bąk in an interview with Marcin Fijołek in Polsat News' "Graffiti".

"So that NLI decisions are subject to judicial review"

- First and foremost, it concerns ensuring that the decisions made, or to be made, by the National Labour Inspectorate are subject to a certain degree of judicial review. That is, if an employer or employee, either party, decides to appeal to the court, then that decision should come into effect at the moment the court confirms it, i.e., when the decision becomes legally binding - she continued.

- However, for this to be the case when, as we know, one has to wait a very long time for a court decision, solutions are also needed to expedite these court rulings. Such a fast track, streamlining of courts, hence the significant involvement of the Minister of Justice - she pointed out.

"This is not a fight between Lewica and PSL"

- We are all playing for the same team here, because we need both the strengthening and reform of the NLI, in line with what is set out in the KPO [National Reconstruction Plan], in line with what we have worked on so far. But we also need – and this was the suggestion, decision, and also stemmed from the agreements between Prime Minister Donald Tusk and Sejm Marshal Włodzimierz Czarzasty – to strengthen this judicial component - she stated.

- This is not a fight between Lewica and PSL, between Prime Minister Tusk and Dziemianowicz-Bąk, or Włodzimierz Czarzasty and anyone else. This is our fight: the government's, the state's, against the pathology of breaking labour law, against pushing people into self-employment, against depriving women of their right to maternity benefit - she continued.

"I hope in February"

- Currently, we are at the stage of [...] consultations with the European Commission, because these amendments must have the Commission's approval as it is part of the KPO. In February, not I don't know of course, because it all depends on the pace of government work, I hope that in February the corrected draft will be adopted and presented to the Council of Ministers - she assessed.

- The person presenting himself as such is not the National Prosecutor. Dariusz Barski is the National Prosecutor. You have another contribution to the fact that we have a major problem with the rule of law. - said Radosław Fogiel on "Gość Radia Zet".

When it was pointed out that such a motion would be difficult to pass, she replied: - Mathematics is mathematics, and righteousness is righteousness. We must call things by their names, signal problems where they exist. We must make attempts and count on this test where everyone can declare which side they are on.

- Previous votes concerning Zbigniew Ziobro showed a number of interesting things. Because one thing is his fundamental supporters, but another is representatives of parliament about whom one might be surprised. - The [Pegasus Investigation] Committee has adopted a resolution to file notifications of potential criminal offenses by former SKW chief Mr. Materka and former ABW chief Mr. Pogonowski. And the situation where one side and the other constantly squabble over who is more right and who will push through their own law, let's be honest, will achieve nothing. We have a special holiday, and on my initiative, during this parliamentary term, we have, for the first time in history, regulated compensation for veterans. The government's proposal to amend the National Council of the Judiciary (KRS) – introducing a new principle for electing judges to the council – was rapidly adopted by the Sejm, with a decision even made to proceed to the third reading without sending the draft to a committee.

232 MPs voted "for", 183 voted against, and 12 abstained. The bill will now be sent to the Senate.

"I will refer to the words of [...] the President of Ukraine, who said directly: no security guarantees will work without the United States, we must remember all of this" - said Mariusz Błaszczak in an interview with Marek Tejchman on the program "Gość Wydarzeń" on Polsat News, when asked about Donald Trump's controversial words regarding allied soldiers.

"We certainly have that right, but let's remember that our security depends on whether we can build the strength of the Polish army, and we will be able to build it when we cooperate with the United States. We will not build the strength of the Polish army with Germany" - he continued, when asked if this means we have no right to be assertive towards Americans.

- We obviously have challenges related to public spending. It would be very good if the President did not sabotage the strengthening of public finances. Let's be open about it, it's hard to talk about cooperation when the President, on the one hand, talks about strengthening public finances, about high debt, about a high deficit, and on the other hand, vetoes laws that would give us more revenue, or that the National Health Fund would have more revenue - said Andrzej Domański on TVN24's "Fakty po Faktach".

- What happened [the services' operation in the KRS] is simply an unheard-of, unprecedented matter. I do not hide a certain disappointment here that various individuals did not intervene, and not in a very decisive way, including on an international scale - Jarosław Kaczyński stated at a press conference in the Sejm.

- I believe that, provided, of course, the conditions are met, which, generally speaking, mean that the government must agree to it. The government must also allocate that billion dollars, because there is no point for Poland to join as a poor country - Jarosław Kaczyński said at a press conference in the Sejm.

- We are no longer a poor country today, fortunately we are not a poor country and we should act here as a truly full-fledged member. But today we must be on the best possible terms with the United States, and therefore we should be there [in the Peace Council] even more so - he assessed.

Asked whether it was acceptable for him to debate at the same table with Putin, he replied: - But Vladimir Putin will not be there, so the question is irrelevant.

- I believe it's President Trump's negotiation tactic, it's the way he operates - said Mariusz Błaszczak on Polsat News, when asked about Donald Trump's post stating that perhaps NATO allies should be called upon to help the US defend its border.

- This is an attack on President Nawrocki, and by the way, Minister Sikorski has such a belligerent style of conduct, it is unbecoming of a Minister of Foreign Affairs - said Mariusz Błaszczak in Polsat News, when asked about Radosław Sikorski's post suggesting he expects the Commander-in-Chief of the armed forces (the President) to react to Donald Trump's words.

- Sikorski is a walking failure. This man only knows how to attack President Nawrocki. Why does he do this? Because he received such instructions from Donald Tusk, who is anti-American - he continued.

- In my opinion, of course [the president should veto the KRS act] - said Jarosław Kaczyński at a press conference in the Sejm.

He continued: - This is an act that proceeds from the assumption that in Poland there are various kinds of authorities whose source lies in selection by society, direct or indirect, but still such a source, and there exists a group of people with immense power, because in Poland the cognitive capacity of courts has been unimaginably expanded, who select themselves and who in essence have the final say in a vast part of matters concerning both citizens and broader issues affecting groups, even the entire society, the entire nation.

- This is a situation that has nothing to do with democracy. After all, authorities, these three types of authority, this Montesquieu-ian division, is meant to be based on balance, not on the crushing superiority of one group. So, here it is simply about constructing in Poland, no longer a crypto-dictatorship, but in essence a dictatorship, because it is clear that this concerns judges who will be subservient to this authority - he stated.

- Well, they are indeed [unjust] towards Poles [Donald Trump's words regarding the involvement of allied NATO troops in Afghanistan], because things have been different with various others there. But well, he has such a runaway tongue - said Jarosław Kaczyński at a press conference in the Sejm.

- The Law and Justice Parliamentary Club was against this bill; we are dealing with the return of the post-communists to the judiciary - Mariusz Błaszczak said on Polsat News, when asked about the KRS bill.

- Judges will again elect judges. [...] This is supposed to be based on what was introduced at the Round Table. That was an agreement at the time, and this judiciary guaranteed the communists impunity - he continued.

- This is one of the most dramatic, perhaps the most dramatic manifestation right now of the general crisis that is simply connected with this government. These people not only serve foreign interests, but on top of that, they are completely incapable of governing - Jarosław Kaczyński said at a press conference in the Sejm.

- After all, this is a team that is unfit to govern a municipality, let alone a state - he added.

- There is no doubt that Polish soldiers are Heroes. They deserve respect and words of gratitude for their service - wrote Karol Nawrocki on social media.

- 44 brave Poles fell in Afghanistan: 43 soldiers and one civilian. They will forever remain in our memory! - he emphasized.
