Pełczyńska-Nałęcz on Trump's Proposal for a Peace Council:
Highly Controversial.
- For Poland – and I'm speaking now for myself, to be clear – belonging to this type of rapidly formed international organization with Lukashenko and Putin, and calling it a Peace Council, is highly controversial, stated Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz on TVN24's "Rozmowa Piaseckiego."
- A serious country operates in such a way that no single person decides on international agreements. That is why there is ratification. I am expressing my private opinion, where I stand on this, very, very cautiously, not to say skeptically, towards the Peace Council, to which Putin and Lukashenko are invited from one day to the next, she continued.
07:44
Pełczyńska-Nałęcz on Trump's Proposal:
If We Are a Sovereign State, Let's Respect Ourselves.
- If we, as Poland, respect ourselves, then we cannot allow ourselves to sign something that we saw yesterday overnight, which is a binding, long-term international agreement that also commits us to significant financial contributions - stated Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz in "Rozmowa Piaseckiego" on TVN24.
- Are we a sovereign state? Yes. So if we are a sovereign state, let's respect ourselves, and even towards an ally, let's respect ourselves, and not behave like someone who can be coerced within 2 days into a serious international agreement, to which Putin, our enemy, is also invited - she continued.
07:53
Pełczyńska-Nałęcz on the Cyberattack During the Poland 2050 Elections:
Whoever Is Doing This Should Be Held Accountable.
- This is a sign of the times. I see absolutely nothing funny about this. A cyberattack occurred. Absolutely nothing like that, at least I have never said such things [about a hybrid attack], but when there are elections in a political party in Poland, a party currently in power, but really, I'm not saying that it's unknown, the whole world is interested in it, let's also have a normal measure of what is happening, and a cyberattack occurs. This should not be happening. And whoever is doing this should be held accountable for this matter; that's what the relevant state services are for - stated Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz in the "Rozmowa Piaseckiego" program on TVN24.
07:59
Pełczyńska-Nałęcz on Polska 2050:
We Will Not and Should Not Be Yes-Men in the Coalition.
- We are also forming such a government, and we will not leave the coalition on the grounds of "because we got bored" or "because we have some cooler ideas." But of course, within this coalition, we have our own goals, which we also promised to the people, and I personally believe that we must pursue these goals assertively and effectively. We will not and should not be yes-men in the coalition, because if people wanted a single-party coalition, they would have elected one - stated Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz in "Rozmowa Piaseckiego" on TVN24.
08:06
Pełczyńska-Nałęcz on the Tusk-Kobosko meeting:
We were all very surprised by this.
- It is, I would say, a surprising thing when there is a meeting with one person from our organization and no one from us knows about this meeting. It is a sudden meeting with the Prime Minister, during our elections, and it concerns the course of our elections. I must admit, frankly, that we were all very surprised by this [Donald Tusk's meeting with Michał Kobosko] - stated Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz in "Rozmowa Piaseckiego" on TVN24.
08:07
- I don't count the days, but on an important matter, I probably asked for a meeting [with Prime Minister Tusk] more than 3 months ago, and for 3 months this meeting hasn't happened. And again, I believe we really need to talk - stated Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz on TVN24's "Rozmowa Piaseckiego" program.
08:11
- This requires deeper analysis, and it's too serious a matter to answer in one sentence - said Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz on "Gość Radia Zet".
- This is a serious matter. Firstly, we support all actions and efforts of the United States and our allies for security. A deep analysis is needed here, because the ratification of international agreements, if it were a new institution, is a multi-stage process. A decision by the Council of Ministers, parliament, and the president. We all need to be in dialogue here, and the dialogue between the government and the president needs to be good - Kosiniak-Kamysz continued.
08:16
- Since the evening hours, when the incident occurred, all services have been active, including railway security guards, police, and the Internal Security Agency. From the information I obtained during the night, after analysis, no elements related to explosives were detected. Everything indicates with 99% certainty that this is the result of wear and tear, material fatigue, frost, natural causes, and not the result of any sabotage. This is a section where a train passes every 3-4 minutes; a train traveled this route just a few minutes earlier, so the full analysis by the services will likely be available, but nothing suggests it was any act of sabotage - said Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz on "Gość Radia Zet".

Czarnek:
A Peace Council? The Putin-Lukashenko Pairing Isn't Pleasant, But Everyone's at the UN Too
- This pairing of Putin and Lukashenko [in the context of the Peace Council] is indeed not pleasant. However, if we look at the UN Security Council and the UN, everyone is there, not just Lukashenko and Putin. Therefore, it's probably not some kind of problem - said Przemysław Czarnek on Polsat News' "Graffiti".
- Discussions are ongoing between the President and the Prime Minister, as we heard, they have contacted each other on this matter. Let's wait to see what they agree on together regarding foreign policy, and then we will know - he stated.
- However, it seems that something that would replace the UN Security Council and the UN today, which has been completely ineffective for some time – because the UN Security Council includes states that primarily ensure that dictatorships fare well and that no one is punished for their actions, such as Russia for crimes in Ukraine. Therefore, replacing the UN Security Council with a Peace Council, which in this case would primarily oversee the Gaza Strip, but not only that, as it will extend further, might be a good idea - he continued.
- We'll see. I am pleased that the proposal from President Donald Trump has been directed to President Karol Nawrocki - he added.
08:22
- I haven't heard such words from the Prime Minister; he himself, moreover, expressed this stance very clearly. So I believe we have a very good, common strategy for the Polish state, and that's what's most important in these matters. Analyses can be conducted, internal discussions can happen, but this is a triad of discussion – decision – action, and we are already in the action stage - said Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz on "Gość Radia Zet".
08:28
Czarnek on Poland's reaction regarding Greenland:
I don't know if putting our hands between the door and the frame is a good solution for us.
- Without a doubt, this is a matter [regarding Greenland] that is concerning. There is no question about it. The way this issue has been handled, while the United States' reasoning can be viewed very positively, the handling and the manner in which it was handled are concerning - said Przemysław Czarnek in "Graffiti" on Polsat News.
- Poland is a state that has been located in its current place in the world for over a thousand years. It lies between Germanic and Rus peoples, and Poland must always view everything happening in the world from the perspective of its own political interest. I don't know if putting our hands between the door and the frame in this situation is any good solution for us - he stated.
08:37
Czarnek:
It Doesn't Matter to Me Who Leads PL2050. I'm Keeping My Fingers Crossed for the Collapse of the December 13 Coalition
- If I were to consider this coolly today – I would say that at the moment I don't see any chance of anything happening there [in Poland 2050]. However, politics is very volatile and full of emotions, and perhaps in the perspective of the next few months, we will have interesting developments and even the collapse of the December 13 coalition. We must be prepared for everything – said Przemysław Czarnek in "Graffiti" Polsat News.
- However, I repeat – if I were to calculate this today and make any probability assessment on this matter, I do not think it could happen in the coming days and weeks – he stated.
Asked if he was rooting for any of the candidates for the leader of Poland 2050, he replied: - I'm keeping my fingers crossed for the collapse of the December 13 coalition. And who becomes the leader of Poland 2050, for me it is irrelevant.
08:40
- Voters indicated this coalition, which exists today. We must respect that and proceed with the current composition. I hope that the Poland 2050 movement will also interpret these election results - said Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz on "Gość Radia Zet".
08:45
Czarnek:
I pray for Giertych. He has completely lost his way in life
- Roman Giertych is an exceptionally unfortunate figure. I can say that I even pray for him, because he has truly lost his way in life, completely, in my opinion. The terms that Mr. Adam Borowski used about him have nothing to do with any crime – said Przemysław Czarnek on Polsat News's "Graffiti".
- The sentence of absolute deprivation of liberty for Adam Borowski is a scandal and we will defend Adam Borowski, a legend of Solidarity, a man who, when Giertych was still a little boy, fought for freedom so that Giertych could be in parliament today – he continued.
- It is truly shameful what Giertych has done in this matter and the private indictment he filed. Adam, we are keeping our fingers crossed for you, we will defend you – he added.
08:46
Szłapka on the Peace Council:
There was no request for government consent to sign an agreement.
- From what is visible at first glance, this Peace Council is to be something akin to an international organization or some formula for signing an international agreement and incurring obligations for Poland - said Adam Szłapka in a conversation with Grzegorz Osiecki on "Sygnały dnia" PR1.
- Such decisions, in any matter, must be subject to analysis; decisions like these are not made in 5 minutes, and we know perfectly well what the procedure is, meaning that Poland's participation in international organizations or incurring obligations for Poland requires the consent of the Council of Ministers, then there is potentially a signature, whether the government signs or the president signs, and then there is ratification and the president's signature - he continued.
- This week is very dynamic, there are these meetings in Davos, on Thursday there will be a special session of the European Council, all of this requires analysis, but also requires silence and not announcing hasty decisions - he went on to say.
- The Prime Minister spoke with the President by phone, but formally, there has not yet been a request for government consent to sign any agreement - he stressed.
08:55
Szłapka:
The Budget is Truly Safe, Poland Has Some of the Most Stable Finances
"This budget is truly safe, and I think Poland has some of the most stable finances, and we are really spending a lot on investments, so I don't have any concerns here," Adam Szłapka said on PR1.
09:01
Szłapka on Judicial Bills:
I Count on the President Signing Them.
- I believe these are important bills that will bring order to matters of law, the rule of law, and the legal system in Poland. I think they will pass through the Sejm and the parliament, and frankly, I am counting on the President signing them - said Adam Szłapka in PR1, when asked about the judicial bills being processed during the current Sejm session.
- Every day we get information that some case has been challenged due to neo-judges [...]. This is all a result of Zbigniew Ziobro's actions, and it simply needs to be fixed. And if the President wants to deepen this chaos, he must be prepared to take responsibility for it - he continued.
09:05
- We will be proceeding with two bills related to the National Council of the Judiciary (KRS), with the intention that one of them will be adopted, and the third reading will take place this Friday. Secondly, we will be proceeding with two bills concerning anti-alcohol legislation, namely the projects from Poland 2050 and the Left parliamentary club - stated Włodzimierz Czarzasty at a press conference in the Sejm.
09:07
Czarzasty:
I Just Sent Two Gag Laws for Consultation
- Here's another piece of news that I believe will interest you, especially President Nawrocki. Today, just a moment ago, I sent two gag laws for consultation. A parliamentary bill prepared by the Speaker, and a bill from the President. Therefore, two bills are going for public consultation today. Consequently, we should expect, in fact, not just expect, but they will be processed - stated Włodzimierz Czarzasty at a press conference.
09:07
- From what I've discussed with Minister Krajewski, yes - Adam Szłapka stated on PR1, when asked if the government would file a motion with the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU) regarding the Mercosur agreement, should the European Parliament (EP) not prepare one.
- For now, we likely have a discussion on this topic at the plenary session today, and it is the Polish MEPs who are most involved in this - he continued.
- That is correct - he added, when asked if the government is waiting for a decision in the EP before making a decision itself.
09:12
- We are ready to initiate the procedure for nominating candidates for the Constitutional Tribunal. And following the decisions that will be made on Friday, we should expect to slowly move towards implementing this procedure - stated Włodzimierz Czarzasty at a press conference in the Sejm.
- This requires consultations with people and their consent for various potential perturbations. Therefore, we simply need to have discussions with these individuals, but we already know more or less how it should look. The procedure will be initiated - he said.
09:13
- A document has been prepared for submission to the committee [regarding the motion to bring Zbigniew Ziobro before the State Tribunal]. We are also prepared to begin collecting signatures from all democratic parliamentary clubs - stated Włodzimierz Czarzasty at a press conference in the Sejm.
- Yesterday, there was a meeting on this matter, but we also want, and I want to say this clearly, to observe what will happen regarding the court's decision concerning Mr. Ziobro. This decision has been postponed for the second time, so we will also wait until the beginning of February, which is very soon, for the court's decision - he continued.
09:14
Szłapka on Coalition Stability:
I Don't Think a Change of Leader in Poland 2050 Fundamentally Alters Politics.
"Coalition stability, but I think there are no threats here," Adam Szłapka said on PR1, when asked who the Prime Minister supports when it comes to Poland 2050.
"I often talk with my colleagues from Poland 2050, and I don't see any threats to the coalition. It's over 30 MPs we work well with, and I don't think a change in the leadership position of Poland 2050 fundamentally alters politics," he continued.
"Even if there are natural, as is the case in political parties, internal tensions, these are not tensions that could lead to, I don't know, the government losing its majority or some MPs who formed the coalition from October 15th from the very beginning, suddenly changing their front," he went on.

Says Kaczyński on Borowski:
A Clear Return to Practices from the PRL Era,
- Imprisonment for one's views? This isn't history - it's the reality in Poland Anno Domini 2026. Adam Borowski - a distinguished activist of the anti-communist opposition, a social worker - is to go to prison! This is a clear return to practices straight out of the PRL era - Jarosław Kaczyński wrote on social media.
Więzienie za poglądy? To nie historia - to rzeczywistość w Polsce Anno Domini 2026.
— Jarosław Kaczyński (@OficjalnyJK) January 21, 2026
Adam Borowski - zasłużony działacz opozycji antykomunistycznej, społecznik - ma trafić do więzienia!
To wyraźny powrót do praktyk rodem z czasów PRL-u.
10:35
- The boundaries of cynicism and political hypocrisy have once again been crossed by PiS. What we have heard in recent days, Poles are being fed lies, half-truths, manipulations, which are meant to cover up your incompetence and ineptitude. But you are also justifying plain banditry - stated Stefan Krajewski in the Sejm.
- We have to clean up your neglect now, and you have the audacity to attack us? You are the ones who left farmers with a list from 5 years ago - he continued.
- Regarding Mercosur, we did everything; you did nothing. I recently said I hadn't read the entire agreement. Yes, 4,000 pages. I have lawyers and experts for that, to prepare proper analyses for me, but you, I get the impression, have now read it, I don't know in what part, but you didn't read it when decisions were being made - he emphasized.
10:39
Błaszczak to Krajewski:
We will submit a motion for your dismissal.
- I have no other choice. So I am taking advantage of it. And we will submit a motion for your dismissal. You can be sure of that. You should honorably resign - stated Mariusz Błaszczak in the Sejm.
10:48
- There is a need for solidarity in Europe, but in addition to that, there is a need to build good transatlantic relations. I think transatlantic relations are very important. We in Europe know, I know, Aleks knows, all my European friends know, how many mistakes Europe has made before and after 2022 - said Karol Nawrocki during a debate in Davos.
- Donald Trump tried to convince our European partners that they must unite, and his voice is very important for financial, strategic, and geopolitical reasons. Of course, I hope this matter will be resolved diplomatically by all partners - the President of the Republic of Poland continued.
10:49
- I believe we should solve this problem diplomatically. Of course, I appreciate Denmark's voice naturally, as they are our partner. Denmark is our partner, but it also views Greenland as a strategic point and a geopolitical subject between the world of democracy, the free world, independence, and Russia - said Karol Nawrocki during a debate in Davos.
10:58
Nawrocki:
I Believe in Polish Soldiers, Our Readiness to Fight Anyone Who Wants to Invade Poland
- First and foremost, I believe in Polish soldiers, in our history, in our readiness to fight anyone who wants to invade Poland. Thus, we feel that we are a strong country on NATO's eastern flank, but we also believe in diplomacy, which is natural within NATO, we believe in our cooperation with NATO and the European Union. Diplomacy is an element of security guarantees - said Karol Nawrocki during a debate in Davos.
11:00
Nawrocki:
Trump Pressed Europeans to Increase Defence Spending. Many European Countries Still Haven't
- In The Hague, Donald Trump pressed Europeans to increase defence spending as a percentage of GDP. The European Union also needs Donald Trump to push for Europe to increase these defence budgets. Many European countries still haven't increased this spending, which means we have a significant problem regarding the sense of responsibility and our guarantees for the security of the European Union - said Karol Nawrocki during a debate in Davos.
11:05
- The aim of this law is to regulate the status of judges appointed with the participation of the National Council of the Judiciary operating from March 7, 2018, to May 13, 2026, referred to as the neo-KRS - stated Waldemar Żurek in the Sejm.
- Consequently, to guarantee participants in court proceedings full realization of the right to have their case heard by an independent, impartial, properly appointed court, and the principle of legal certainty regarding the finality of court judgments - he continued.
- This is something the Polish citizen does not have today. They go to court, pay their lawyer, incur court fees, and in the end, it turns out that the supposed ruling can be nullified. And the Polish taxpayer pays for it. This is a pathological situation, and we must fix it. We must fix it, and we must fix it together with the President. I would like the President to consider this bill - he went on to say.
11:13
Nawrocki:
We Need Trump, But We Also Believe in Our Army
- I am probably satisfied with Marek Rutte's answer that we need Donald Trump in the European Union, but we also believe in our army in Poland. I would also like to add to this that Poland won against the Soviets and Bolsheviks, Finland also won against the Soviets and Bolsheviks in the 20th century, the Japanese and Afghans also won against the Soviet Union. Therefore, we are ready in our countries to secure our independence, but we simultaneously need geopolitical regulations in Europe - said Karol Nawrocki during a debate in Davos.
11:15
Head of the National Council of the Judiciary in the Sejm During a Debate on a Government Bill:
A Work of Madness.
- Following this line of reasoning, I want to tell you that this bill, which has been submitted to the Sejm, is a work of madness. To say it is unconstitutional is an understatement. To say it is illogical, internally contradictory, is really saying nothing at all. It is a bill to verify all judges appointed since March 7 at the request of the National Council of the Judiciary based on resolutions from March 7, 2018, to May 13, 2026, and in fact, all the judgments they have issued - stated Dagmara Pawełczyk-Woicka in the Sejm.
11:33
Nawrocki:
The Greenland Issue Doesn't Mean We're Not Thinking About Ukraine
- I believe that Ukraine and the topic of Ukraine are the most important issues following Russia's attack, not only for Poland and the eastern flank of NATO, but for the entire free world. I think the issue concerning Greenland does not mean we are not thinking about Ukraine. We support Ukraine in Poland, we support it in NATO, in the European Union; the United States of America has supported and continues to support Ukraine. We must treat this issue as the main problem currently in Europe - said Karol Nawrocki during a debate in Davos.
- I do not fear a situation concerning Greenland that could imply we will forget about Ukraine. We understand the essence of the Ukrainian problem and still feel the Russian threat. We continuously feel the Russian threat in Central and Eastern Europe, and I believe we are currently in the midst of a hybrid war. This is the peculiar Soviet arrangement we have known for 100 years. It involves the combination of military force, information, disinformation, and propaganda; therefore, we are currently in the midst of a hybrid war within the European Union - Karol Nawrocki continued.
13:28
Żurek:
No one questions the President's prerogative to issue appointments
- Ladies and gentlemen, no one questions the President's prerogative to issue appointments. No one. But please read the Constitution, I have these regulations in front of me: the President appoints upon the motion of the National Council of the Judiciary. Please read the commentaries on the Constitution, the motion of a legal body, the President's appointment, there must be consistency - said Waldemar Żurek in the Sejm.
- If it were the case that the President said, "I have a driver who has completed law school, I will appoint him as a judge," would he also be a judge? He has completed law school. No, because there must be a motion from a legal body - he continued.
- All Polish legal judicial bodies and international bodies have clearly indicated that there was no motion because there was no legal body. If this motion is absent, it is flawed, which is why the irremovability of a judge applies to the judge, not to the person appointed through such a procedure - he went on to say.
13:56
Kosiniak-Kamysz After Meeting with Latvian Defense Minister:
We've Decided to Work on a New Memorandum.
- We've decided to work on a new memorandum, an agreement between our countries [...] concerning security policy. I believe we will be ready to sign it within a few weeks. I would like to sign this agreement in Riga together with the Minister and announce our closer cooperation - said Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz at a press conference after meeting with the Latvian Minister of Defense.
14:15
Kosiniak-Kamysz:
This is a great victory for the PSL and for Poland. We blocked Mercosur
- This is a great moment for me, this is a great victory for the PSL, a great victory for Poland. I am very happy that we blocked Mercosur. The ratification process of the agreement with Mercosur countries has been halted by a decision of the European Parliament at the request of the Polish People's Party (PSL) - said Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz at a press conference after meeting with the Latvian Minister of Defence.
- Many thanks to MEP Krzysztof Hetman, MEP Adam Jarubas, we have achieved what others could only shout about, often expressing their opinions in a hateful way, like the opposition parliamentarians in Poland - he continued.
- Our motion won, the motion of political rivals, who often shout but are ineffective, lost by 200 votes, I want to draw attention to that as well. The motion by PiS and Konfederacja, calling for similar action as the PSL's motion, lost by 200 votes, ours won - he further stated.
14:25
Wójcik on Entering the KRS Headquarters:
A Pure Act of Attack.
- [The KRS headquarters] was attacked by the authorities. It's no coincidence that at this moment, at this time, when Minister Żurek is presenting two bills - concerning the KRS and saying he will repair the rule of law in Poland, it is precisely the rule of law that we see at this very moment in the KRS headquarters, which is surrounded by police, there are police inside, everything is happening under the supervision of the prosecutor's office. MPs were not allowed in for a long time. The Chairwoman of the KRS was not informed at all about what is happening at the headquarters. Some incredible madness is taking place in Poland right now, it's a pure act of attack that is currently sweeping across Poland - stated Michał Wójcik at a press briefing.

Bryłka on the European Parliament's Decision Regarding Mercosur:
Huge Applause for the Farmers.
- Success! The European Parliament has adopted a resolution calling for the Court of Justice of the European Union to be consulted on the compatibility of the EU-Mercosur agreement with the Treaties. This means that ratification IS SUSPENDED until the CJEU takes a position, at the very least! Huge applause for the farmers whose persistence led to this historic voting outcome! - wrote Anna Bryłka on social media.

Żurek Warns:
For Every Appearance of a Neo-Judge in Court, the Polish Taxpayer Will Pay.
"There are currently over 1100 cases pending at the European Court of Human Rights concerning the fact that individuals who - in light of European law - do not constitute a court are adjudicating in the Supreme Court." - wrote Waldemar Żurek on X.
"We have already paid 5.5 million PLN in compensation, and each subsequent loss amounts to at least 10,000 euros. Who pays for this? Polish taxpayers." - he continued in his post.
"And this will not end on its own. For every appearance of a neo-judge in court, for every donning of the robe, the Polish taxpayer will pay." - he emphasized.

The Selection of Constitutional Tribunal Judges Should Begin in February
- In February, I believe that in February, the selection of judges [for the Constitutional Tribunal] should begin - stated Waldemar Żurek in an interview with Marek Tejchman on Polsat News' "Gość Wydarzeń" (Guest of Events).
20:13
Żurek:
I Have Opinions from Prominent Lawyers Convincing Me We Can Appoint 8 Judges to the Constitutional Tribunal – Because There Are Two Successors to the Dublers
- Six judges [to the Constitutional Tribunal] might be appointed today. But I have opinions from law professors, truly prominent lawyers, who are convincing me that following the December ruling of the Court of Justice of the European Union, we can appoint eight. This is because there are two dublers, their successors, who are sitting in the CT and do not have the authority. We will see what the coalition decides - Waldemar Żurek said on Polsat News's "Gość Wydarzeń" (Guest of Events).

Żurek on the Simultaneous Processing of Judicial Laws and Law Enforcement's Entry into the KRS:
The Timelines Coincided by Chance.
- Please believe me, I can give you my word here. The timelines simply coincided entirely by chance - said Waldemar Żurek in “Gość Wydarzeń” on Polsat News, when asked if the entry of prosecutors, accompanied by police, into the National Council of the Judiciary (KRS) and the simultaneous processing of judicial laws in the Sejm was not an organized action.

Żurek on the Reasons for Today's Action at the National Council of the Judiciary:
Mutiny on Board.
- We saw a lot of distortions today, both in the Sejm and in the media. First and foremost, this is a building that the National Council of the Judiciary rents from another institution, and within this building, there are several offices that are the seats of disciplinary spokespersons - said Waldemar Żurek in "Gość Wydarzeń" on Polsat News.
- They have their seat there, and it is not the seat of the KRS. These are the offices of the spokespersons. They are in the building because the Council, according to the law, is obliged to provide offices for these spokespersons - he explained.
- The situation is very strange. Because we have new disciplinary spokespersons, appointed by me and partly by Adam Bodnar, but the dismissed spokespersons have staged a kind of mutiny on board. […] The disciplinary spokesperson appointed by me does not have the case files. She doesn't know how many files there are, against whom, and cannot conduct them. We learn from social media that Mr. Radzik, Mr. Schab, and Mr. Lasota are saying that they are still spokespersons - he continued.

Nawrocki on the Meeting with Trump:
Primarily Regarding Security Issues.
- Primarily, the meeting with President Donald Trump concerned security issues. This is natural, a confirmation of security guarantees for Poland, for the presence of American soldiers. This is a constant agenda of our meetings - stated Karol Nawrocki on TV Republika.
- We also exchanged a few more words, because it was quite a long meeting, we also talked about the economic situation, about the G20 group, about the fact that Poland, thanks to President Trump's invitation, is in the G20. The meeting also concerned our future plans, but in essence, it was about the situation surrounding the Peace Council, which is to be inaugurated tomorrow - he continued.

Nawrocki Quotes Trump on US Troop Presence:
Karol, Mr. President.
- Today these security guarantees have been confirmed. There are no plans to withdraw American soldiers from Poland. President Trump confirmed: Karol, Mr. President, what we discussed is permanent, lasting, and the USA is Poland's ally - stated Karol Nawrocki on TV Republika.

Żurek on Separating the Functions of Minister and Prosecutor General:
I Need Certainty That the Prosecutor's Office Will Be Apolitical.
- I would like the law separating the function of the Minister of Justice from the Prosecutor General to be enacted during my term. But I need certainty that the prosecutor's office will function and be apolitical - said Waldemar Żurek on Polsat News' "Gość Wydarzeń" (Guest of Events).
20:45
Nawrocki on Parliament's Need to Ratify International Agreements:
Trump Understands This Perfectly.
- Any international agreement that Poland accedes to and which the president initialises, must naturally go through the Polish parliament; a resolution of the Council of Ministers must be adopted. I am aware of these constitutional obligations, and President Trump understands this perfectly. That is, he recognises that the invitation for Poland, for the President of Poland, to the Peace Council for resolving global conflicts, including the conflict in the Middle East, is proof of Poland being taken seriously - stated Karol Nawrocki on TV Republika.

Żurek:
The President is Trying to Change the System of Government Without Amending the Constitution
"The President is trying to bring about a change in the state's system of government without amending the Constitution. I have seen the President's media statements where he says: 'I decide who will be a judge in Poland.' No. That is an absolutely mistaken interpretation of the Constitution" - said Waldemar Żurek in "Gość Wydarzeń" on Polsat News.
"There is the National Council of the Judiciary (KRS), where the President has his representative with voting rights, a public appointment process, open, very complex, lasting many months, with resolutions appealable to the Supreme Court. Once it becomes legally binding – then we present it to the President, and he nominates" - he continued.
"The President's prerogative is only to hand over the nomination and sign the act of nomination. Without the KRS, the President cannot unilaterally say: 'This person has graduated from law school, is a very intelligent individual, I will give them a nomination, without the Council, because why do I even need the Council?'" - he stated.
21:05
Nawrocki on entering the National Council of the Judiciary:
I asked Bogucki to look into the matter.
- Scenes like this should not happen. Crossing a certain line, I actually received fragmentary information on this subject today, I did not examine it closely, but I was very concerned about it, which is why I asked Minister Bogucki to look into the matter on behalf of the Chancellery - stated Karol Nawrocki on TV Republika.
21:13
- I am concerned by this situation because I know the man. I don't know what the legal opinions look like at the moment, they will reach me next week, and I will be making decisions whether I can pardon Mr. Borowski in this first package of my pardons that are waiting on my desk - stated Karol Nawrocki on TV Republika.

Przydacz on Poland's Role in the Peace Council:
Tomorrow, the Signature Will Not Be Finalized.
- Of course, the matter requires further analysis and discussion. It is clear that this should be treated as a distinction for Poland, as many European leaders, and not only them, including the Prime Minister of Canada, the President of Argentina, and leaders of Asian and South American states, have been invited to this initiative - stated Marcin Przydacz at a press briefing in Davos.
- The discussion must indeed concern legal issues as well, specifically the form of Poland's potential participation, and here full compliance with Polish regulations must be maintained, because, as international law states, any commitment under an international agreement, especially one establishing an international organization, if not fully implemented and in accordance with domestic law, cannot be considered binding - he continued.
- Therefore, it is necessary to initiate a potential internal procedure - he emphasized.
- It is clear that at tomorrow's meeting, to which the President received an invitation and confirmed his presence, the signature, in both legal and factual terms, will not be finalized. However, it is also clear that Poland expresses a certain objective interest in the further development of the situation surrounding the Peace Council - added the presidential minister.
