External Attempt to Interfere with Electoral Process: Poland 2050 Board Issues Statement

Mateusz Nowak

"Poland 2050 Szymon Hołownia informs that, with high probability, there has been an external attempt to interfere with the party's internal electoral process. We are a party co-responsible for governing Poland and cannot downplay any indications suggesting a potential breach of the security of this process." - reads the statement from the national board of Poland 2050 Szymon Hołowni.

Notification to the Prosecutor's Office

"The National Board of Poland 2050 Szymon Hołowni has decided to file a notification of a potential commission of a crime with the prosecutor's office, and the matter should be investigated by the Internal Security Agency." - states the party's board.

"There is a high probability of external influence on the electoral process, which must be unequivocally verified by the relevant institutions. It is worth noting that a significantly higher number of votes were cast in the voting process than the number of party members eligible to vote, which further justifies the need for a thorough clarification of the matter." - it was noted in the communication.

"At the same time, we want to emphasize that we have no reservations about the actions of the National Election Commission, which acted in a exemplary manner: quickly, responsibly, and in accordance with procedures, promptly deciding to halt the voting and annul the second round of elections without announcing the results." - the board of Poland 2050 conveyed.

"National Council Will Decide"

"Chairman Szymon Hołownia has decided to convene the National Council for January 16, 2026 (Friday), which is the earliest possible statutory date. The National Council will decide how the electoral process will proceed: on the one hand, as quickly as possible, and on the other hand, in a manner that is fully secure for the organization and its members. The security and credibility of the process are our absolute priority." - it was emphasized in the statement.

"Poland 2050 Szymon Hołownia remains true to the principles of transparency, responsibility, and the protection of democratic standards – both in the state and within its own structures. The election campaign has unleashed immense energy within our party. We will do everything to ensure that it is now properly utilized to rebuild the trust of our voters and strengthen our organization on the political arena." - it was summarized.
