"Thinking in terms of our own interests and security, I believe JSW should survive," said Wojciech Balczun on "Gość Wydarzeń" (Guest of Events) on Polsat News.

"At one point, when I met with trade unions, we stated clearly: 'We will do everything that depends on the Ministry of State Assets and the Ministry of Energy, as we are working very closely here, to jointly implement these things.' However, we all must, in a sense, contribute to this process of saving JSW," indicated the Minister of State Assets.

"We have brought about the adoption of the mining sector act, which includes JSW, which was not covered by the act until now. It provides the possibility of early retirement under standard procedures for mining restructuring, allows miners to take mining leave, and enables employment reduction," he explained.
