Ziobro Granted Asylum in Hungary: Confirmation Received

"Member of Parliament Zbigniew Ziobro has obtained international protection and political asylum in Hungary in connection with violations of rights and freedoms within Polish territory, guaranteed by international law," reported attorney Bartosz Lewandowski.

"Political asylum was granted to him by the Hungarian government under the Act on the Right to Asylum of 2007, due to actions by the Prosecutor's Office and services subordinate to the government, which resulted in a series of actions bearing the hallmarks of politically motivated repression (e.g., passport revocations previously announced by government members, deprivation of livelihood due to asset seizures)," reads the post on the X portal.

07:47

Petru on Hennig-Kloska:

I Support Her Because She Has That Economic Element,

- I was a bit angry with Paulina Hennig-Kloska for taking my voters, but at the same time, I accept it, she had every right to do so, which is why I am supporting her in this second round, because she does have that very important economic element, she always emphasized that - said Ryszard Petru in the "Rozmowa Piaseckiego" program on TVN24.

- We've known each other since 2015, she co-founded this party, which was an advantage over my humble self, and it gives a chance that we will slowly grow in strength, at least we need to reach 5-6% to start breathing from a political point of view - he continued.

- All candidates except for the first candidate [...] Joanna Mucha, as well as Rafał Kasprzyk, we supported Paulina Hennig-Kloska, and I hope, though I never know for sure, that these votes will add up - he went on to say.

07:59

Petru on Pełczyńska-Nałęcz:

If She Had Won, Nothing Would Change.

- For the last year, Ms. Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz led the party, Szymon Hołownia was busy with the election campaign, and everyone within the group knows this, therefore she had the tools to improve the result, but it didn't happen - Ryszard Petru said on TVN24.

- If she had won, it would be exactly as it was before. Nothing would change, because it's difficult to expect the same with new results - he continued.

PiS Seeks Dismissal of Agriculture Minister. No-Confidence Vote to Be Filed

- The PiS Parliamentary Club is filing a motion to dismiss Stefan Krajewski from the post of Minister of Agriculture. The reason is obvious – a lack of real action and complete ineffectiveness in stopping the EU-Mercosur agreement - informed Mariusz Błaszczak on social media.

- This agreement means an influx of cheap food from outside the EU, produced without the stringent norms that Polish farmers are subject to. This is unfair competition, threatening the bankruptcy of many farms, a drop in purchase prices, and further weakening Poland's food security - wrote the head of the PiS club.

- Instead of firmly defending the interests of rural Poland, Minister Krajewski displays arrogance and disregard for the voice of farmers. Rural Poland needs defense, not inaction. There was no December 13th coalition – there would be no Mercosur agreement! - he added.

Ziobro Publishes Long Post, Confirms Asylum:

I've Decided to Stay Abroad Until...

- I am choosing to fight political banditry and lawlessness. I am resisting a progressing dictatorship. I am doing this in the name of the principles I have always guided myself by, and because of which I have today become the target of personal revenge by Donald Tusk and his circle. I have become the object of a hunt and persecution because, as the Prosecutor General, I initiated numerous investigations into their corruption and thievery - wrote Zbigniew Ziobro on social media.

- The fact that funds from the Ministry of Justice went not only to left-wing and liberal organizations, which previously held a de facto monopoly, but also to Christian and conservative organizations, is also significant - he continued.

As the former Minister of Justice wrote: - In this situation, I have decided to avail myself of the asylum granted to me by the Hungarian government due to political repression in Poland. I am very grateful to Prime Minister Viktor Orbán. In a letter from a few days ago, the President of the United States, Donald Trump, emphasized that Prime Minister Viktor Orbán's courageous leadership and his consistent defense of principles make Hungary an example for the world – a country of faith, family, and sovereignty. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said about Poland under Donald Tusk's rule.

- Therefore, I have decided to remain abroad until genuine guarantees of the rule of law are restored in Poland. I believe that instead of agreeing to have my voice silenced and face a torrent of lies to which I would have no opportunity to respond, I will do more by fighting the growing lawlessness in Poland - Ziobro stressed.

- I have decided that I will not allow my children to be deprived of their mother's care, and my wife – in my stead – to become a victim of Donald Tusk's psychopathic revenge. That is why I have applied for her to be granted international protection - he noted.

08:06

Petru on Hołownia's Stance on the Poland 2050 Elections:

He Wrote It Directly Yesterday.

- He sent us various kinds of SMS messages, in two such letters - Ryszard Petru said on TVN24, when asked if Szymon Hołownia played any role in the Poland 2050 elections.

- Yesterday he wrote directly that he would not support either of the two [candidates] and would like it to be unified after the elections - he continued.

- To simplify - he went on to say, when asked if Hołownia had said "I don't support either Katarzyna or Paulina, do what you want."

08:08

Tomczyk on Ziobro:

Fled to Putin's Friend.

- The truth is that what Zbigniew Ziobro is doing is exceptionally demoralizing for the entire judiciary. The former Minister of Justice is avoiding responsibility for his actions by fleeing to a country where we have Viktor Orbán, a friend of Vladimir Putin. Everything is clear here - said Cezary Tomczyk on Polsat News' "Graffiti".

- I think that even for PiS voters, and I recently spoke with several people who voted for PiS, they say they are simply ashamed, because there is no other word for it - he stated.

08:11

Petru:

Sooner or Later Ziobro Will Make a Mistake and Face Justice in Poland

- This is bad news, although I am crossing my fingers for good results in Hungary, because then this asylum might be, I hope, revoked - Ryszard Petru said on TVN24, referring to Zbigniew Ziobro's asylum.

- This indicates that Zbigniew Ziobro fears Polish justice, it also shows what would happen if PiS returned to power, that they would return precisely so that people like Ziobro could return and take revenge, rather than answer in court for what they have done, because he clearly knows he has something on his conscience - he continued.

- Ziobro would go to jail, make himself a martyr, and one could organize huge protests in Warsaw around that, "Free Ziobro", right, "Solidarity with Ziobro", etc., I'm just saying that's how a legend is built, and today we have a PiS legend, where those who are suspected flee abroad - he continued, and then asked whether it would be better for PiS if Ziobro were in Poland or in Hungary.

- I am convinced that sooner or later this Ziobro will make a mistake and will, in one way or another, end up in Poland before the justice system, but most of all I am counting on the elections in Hungary - he added.

08:15

Morawiecki on the Situation in Poland:

Something Between Dictatorship and Democracy, Hence 'Democratura'

- Of course, it is a system of sorts, something between dictatorship and democracy, hence 'democratura'. It has various democratic features, but they are often superficial, and the persecution of political opponents is characteristic of autocratic systems - stated Mateusz Morawiecki on RMF FM.

08:16

Morawiecki:

Urban Could Take Lessons from Tusk

- Jerzy Urban has been surpassed by the current Prime Minister, my successor. He is simply an absolute master at propaganda, misleading the public, and political marketing. Jerzy Urban could take lessons from Donald Tusk - stated Zbigniew Ziobro on RMF FM.

08:18

Morawiecki:

I Will Certainly Not Seek Asylum Anywhere

- I have no idea [if there will be more PiS politicians asking for asylum in Hungary], I don't know that, just as I didn't know about what you asked me this morning. I will certainly not seek asylum anywhere. Let them judge me here however they wish - stated Mateusz Morawiecki on RMF FM.

08:22

Tomczyk mocks Ziobro:

Resisting in Hungary with a glass of cherry liqueur in hand.

– You should see his post [Zbigniew Ziobro’s], because it’s remarkable. Such heroism. He says he is resisting. He is resisting in Hungary, I understand, with a glass of cherry liqueur in hand. Because I don’t know what form this resistance takes – said Cezary Tomczyk in the “Graffiti” program on Polsat News.

– This man simply fled Poland from justice, from accusations. He faces, mind you, 20 years in prison, as do other people involved in these matters – he pointed out.

08:23

Petru on the Council of Parliamentarians by the President:

It's a Facade.

- I don't know anything about it, I haven't heard anything, I don't know - said Ryszard Petru on TVN24, when asked if there was a proposal for Poland 2050 for someone from the party to join the Council of Parliamentarians by the President.

- You would have to ask the head of the parliamentary club, but I haven't heard - he continued.

- No - he said further, when asked if he thought it would be worthwhile to join such a council.

- If the president doesn't engage in any dialogue on any important matter, doesn't understand the content of laws, vetoes them, and the Chancellery is constantly running the president's election campaign, they veto the law on internet protection [...] such a council is a facade, meaning, it shows: look, we're supposedly discussing, we're supposedly having a dialogue, but in fact, there is no dialogue - he added.

08:24

Hennig-Kloska:

Without Poland 2050, it will be difficult to achieve a result that allows a democratic government to continue its work

- I ran and am fighting for leadership in Poland 2050 precisely to rebuild our party, because I believe that without it, it will be difficult to achieve a result that allows a democratic government to continue its work - said Paulina Hennig-Kloska on "Gość Radia Zeta".

08:24

Hennig-Kloska on rivalry with Pełczyńska-Nałęcz: I expect Hołownia will not express support

- I believe that [Hołownia] has not said his last word in politics. I have a very good relationship with him and we will certainly cooperate closely if I head Poland 2050. He did not express support before the first round and I expect he will not express it before the second - said Paulina Hennig-Kloska in “Gość Radia Zeta”.

08:25

Morawiecki on the Status of a Close Person:

I Would Support Such a Law, Depending on What's Inside.

- It's a never-ending story. Generally, I believe that most matters related to people living together who are not married can be handled by a notary today, so a law on the status of a close person is a topic close to my heart. One that will enable, facilitate certain forms of contact. I would support such a law, depending on what's inside, but in the law proposed by the government, I actually see an attempt to circumvent the institution of marriage, and I do not support such a law - stated Mateusz Morawiecki on RMF FM.

08:29

Morawiecki:

Denmark Should Reach an Agreement with the USA

- It is not my prerogative to decide what Denmark should do and how it should reach an agreement with the USA. I believe it should reach an agreement with the USA - stated Mateusz Morawiecki on RMF FM.

08:38

Morawiecki asked about returning to the Prime Minister's post:

I hope we won't be dealing with substitute topics.

- I hope now that we won't be dealing with substitute topics, but will be dealing with terribly important issues. A woman dies because they connected gas instead of oxygen, a 32-year-old woman dies because an ambulance didn't arrive for 5 hours - stated Mateusz Morawiecki on RMF FM, when asked if he hopes to return to the Prime Minister's post.

- A policewoman is raped, and the degenerate is driven away in a car by police officers, and the officers stand by, even though they hear screams from the other side of the room and have weapons, they could intervene. Unfortunately, they do nothing. This is a picture of pathology for which the current government is responsible, and this is what we should focus on, especially the healthcare service - he continued.

08:53

Hennig-Kloska:

Judging People Through the Lens of Their Past Political History is Unethical

- This is an absolute abuse [the statement “you are admitting MPs from Nowoczesna, you will end up like Nowoczesna”]. I joined Poland 2050 because it was my ideological choice, but I also met a charismatic leader with whom I wanted to continue doing politics. Everyone among us has some political identity. My colleague Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz was a deputy minister under Donald Tusk in the past, she was an ambassador to Russia on behalf of Donald Tusk's government. Each of us has some identity. Judging people, in my opinion, through the lens of their past political history is unethical and unhealthy; it's about dividing people based on where they come from – said Paulina Hennig-Kloska in “Gość Radia Zeta”.

10:43

Kukiz:

If Things Continue This Way, Hungary Will Become a Second Homeland for Solidarna Polska

"If things continue this way, Hungary will soon become a second homeland for Solidarna Polska. I would be lying if I said I regretted it. By forming a temporary alliance with Civic Coalition (KO), they blocked key pro-citizen bills for us - halving the thresholds for referendums and introducing lay judges. Not to mention the overall situation..." - Paweł Kukiz wrote on X.

10:55

Czarzasty on the Poland 2050 Leadership Election:

This Will Affect Stabilization.

"I absolutely do not interfere and do not wish to express my opinion regarding other parties with whom we govern together. It's good that this choice will happen today, as it will affect the stabilization concerning our partner" – stated Włodzimierz Czarzasty at a press briefing in the Sejm, when asked if he had a favorite in the Poland 2050 leadership election.

"The matter of determining the shape of the government within the coalition is led by the Prime Minister, and the Prime Minister should propose solutions in this regard" – he continued, when asked if the new party leader should automatically hold the position of Deputy Prime Minister.

13:01

Czarzasty's First Foreign Visit as Marshal of the Sejm. Chancellery of the Sejm Issues Statement

"Marshal of the Sejm Włodzimierz Czarzasty is heading to Germany for his first official foreign visit. The visit program includes, among others, talks with President Frank-Walter Steinmeier, Bundestag President Julia Klöckner, and Minister of Defence Boris Pistorius" - the Chancellery of the Sejm informed on X.

13:05

Sikorski Addresses Ziobro:

I Fled from Communism, You Fled from the Prosecutor and Court You Yourself Reformed.

"Zbyszek, humanely, I sympathize with the bread of an asylum seeker, which I too have tasted. True, I fled from communism and you fled from the Polish prosecutor and court, which you yourself reformed. Nevertheless, I wish you a return to the homeland and a just verdict." - wrote Radosław Sikorski on X.

13:34

"A Logical Choice." Tusk Comments on Asylum for Ziobro, Writes About the "Brain of the Political Corruption System"

- The former Minister of Justice (!), Mr. Ziobro, who was the brain of the political corruption system, has applied to Viktor Orbán's government for political asylum. A logical choice - wrote Prime Minister Donald Tusk on social media.

15:42

KPRP Issues Statement Following Nawrocki-Barski Meeting:

The Only Legal National Prosecutor.

"The President of the Republic of Poland, Andrzej Duda, met with the National Prosecutor, Dariusz Barski, who two years ago was unlawfully and forcibly deprived of his ability to perform his duties by the government." - the Chancellery of the President informed on X.

"The dismissal of the National Prosecutor requires the consent of the President of the Republic of Poland. The Prime Minister has never filed such a motion, and the building of the National Prosecutor's Office was forcibly occupied. That Dariusz Barski is the only legal National Prosecutor has been confirmed by both the Supreme Court and the Constitutional Tribunal, but their rulings have been disregarded." - it was stated in the communication.

"This is not the rule of law. This is an immense injustice and an attack on the constitutional foundations of the state system." - it was emphasized.

16:10

Przydacz Before the President’s Departure to London:

The Principal Aim of the Visit is a Meeting with Prime Minister Starmer.

- The President is shortly departing on a working visit to the United Kingdom, to London, to Great Britain. The principal aim of this visit is to conduct political consultations, a meeting with the Prime Minister of Great Britain, Mr. Keir Starmer - said Marcin Przydacz at a press briefing.

- Tomorrow, such a meeting will take place at 10 Downing Street. The conversation will mainly concern matters of security policy. We all know very well that discussions and talks are underway about the security situation in the Eastern Europe region, which also touches upon our fundamental security interests - he continued.

- To put it plainly - the negotiations currently taking place between Ukraine and the United States on one hand. On the other hand, the talks the United States is conducting with Russia, and on the third hand, Kyiv’s discussion with the so-called coalition of the willing regarding security guarantees, which Western European countries and separately the United States would provide to Ukraine in the event of further aggression from the Russian Federation - he went on.

- Beyond security policy issues, the President will discuss economic matters, and will also discuss other political issues concerning the European continent and the broadly understood global agenda - he added.

16:51

Zandberg on the Ziobro Case:

An Asylum with a Very Short Expiration Date.

- It seems that elections will be held there [in Hungary] quite soon, and after those elections, this asylum will likely cease to exist, because I hear statements from the current Hungarian opposition, which seems to have quite significant chances of winning those elections, and they are quite unambiguous. It seems to be an asylum with a very short expiration date - said Adrian Zandberg in "Rozmowa dnia" on PR1.

16:58

Zandberg:

Ziobro Should Stand Trial

- Zbigniew Ziobro should stand trial, and an impartial, independent court should judge whether the charges brought against him are serious or not. I voted for stripping Mr. Ziobro of his immunity so that he could stand trial, and I maintain with the same consistency that it is the courts, not politicians, that deliver verdicts in such matters - said Adrian Zandberg on PR1.

- A brutal review of the judiciary after nearly 10 years when Zbigniew Ziobro was in charge of it - he continued, when asked about Ziobro's assertion that he cannot count on a fair trial in Poland.

17:06

Zandberg:

Who Did the Prime Minister Meet Before Deciding to Block Labor Inspectorate Reform?

- Do you know what stirs my emotions? Another question. Who did Prime Minister Tusk meet with before deciding to effectively block the labor inspectorate reform? - said Adrian Zandberg on PR1, responding to the question "This topic [of Zbigniew Ziobro] does not greatly stir Adrian Zandberg's emotions, but I think another one might: Prime Minister Donald Tusk's meeting with the Sejm Marshal from New Left, Włodzimierz Czarzasty, regarding the reform of the National Labor Inspectorate".

- Either inspectors will have the right to issue decisions with immediate enforceability, or it's a waste of time and effort, because it will simply be a fiction without it - he continued.

18:19

"This is the Most Likely Date": Kaczyński on the Parliamentary Election Timing

- Of course, the elections, the ones within the constitutional deadline, will take place next year. Of course, various things can always happen, but this is the most likely date. At least in this year 2026, we should approach this situation, the situation of success, the chance to build a rational, good, efficient government in Poland. We should get closer to it, and here there are a few different problems, and I can even say, a few different troubles - stated Jarosław Kaczyński in Węgrów.

18:21

Marshal of the Sejm Meets with the President of Germany

Marshal of the Sejm Włodzimierz Czarzasty met with the President of Germany Frank-Walter Steinmeier.

Photos published on the Sejm Chancellery's Flickr profile show Czarzasty signing the guestbook. Subsequently, both leaders proceeded to delegation talks.

18:27

Kaczyński:

To Govern, You Need Truly High Qualifications. Those Governing Today Lack Them

- To govern, one needs appropriate and truly high qualifications. The people governing today lack these qualifications. But there is something even worse, because qualifications can be acquired, one can learn, including in practice. It would be better if someone becoming a minister didn't have to learn in practice, but already knew what to do, but one can also learn something in practice, but here it's primarily about good will - stated Jarosław Kaczyński in Węgrów.

18:30

Harbinger of Economic Crisis? Kaczyński's Suggestion

- This is something that heralds, or at least may herald, a very difficult crisis, no longer of public finances, but of the economy. Through a crisis of the zloty, for instance, that's the most classic example of a situation where there is too large a deficit. Doubts arise regarding the ability to repay it, and the zloty depreciates - stated Jarosław Kaczyński in Węgrów.

18:37

Kaczyński on the Patriotic Camp:

The Whole Problem Is That It Is Not United.

- The first matter, the first step, the problem today, is what to do. The first thing at this moment is to unite the patriotic camp. This is incredibly important, because a united patriotic camp should win the elections in Poland today, and, one might say, without much difficulty. The whole problem is that it is not united, and to some extent, it is also subject to various kinds of manipulation. These manipulations originate either in Poland or outside of Poland. I will not consider this at the moment, because I simply do not have enough evidence here - stated Jarosław Kaczyński in Węgrów.

18:58

Kaczyński:

I Spoke with Orbán a Few Days Ago

- Now the question is, which path to take. Should it be the one already chosen by the Czechs, which the Slovaks will soon choose, and the Hungarians will likely choose – I spoke with Orbán a few days ago and everything points to this – or the path taken by this government, which wants to accept everything. We must finally muster the courage to say “no” in the EU. The EU is not in line with its founding principles - stated Jarosław Kaczyński in Węgrów.

19:01

Kaczyński:

We Are Preparing a Program

- If we want to answer the question of what needs to be done for us to win, we also need to tell ourselves one thing. We must have a program for all of this. We must have a ready program, and we are preparing this program - stated Jarosław Kaczyński in Węgrów.

19:02

Kaczyński on Braun's Party:

There's a Ban.

- The limitations are as follows. Regarding the Confederation of the Polish Crown, which is Mr. Braun's party, there is, as the saying goes colloquially, a ban. Why? Because by entering into an arrangement there, we cut ourselves off from the entire West, but above all from the state that currently guarantees our security - stated Jarosław Kaczyński in Węgrów.

19:12

Kaczyński:

We Must Unite With Those We Can Unite With

- This is a general task along the way, we simply have to unite with those we can unite with. We have to convince the electorate, those who today, are certainly in their vast majority Polish patriots, in an overwhelming majority, although they have a very strong pro-Russian tendency, but people very often react simply to such very clear statements - stated Jarosław Kaczyński in Węgrów.

19:23

Kaczyński Asked About Media Repolonization:

We Will Definitely Be Moving in This Direction.

- I once put forward, many years ago, such a postulate [of media repolonization], I thought I would never dig myself out from under it, given the attack that followed. Today, it is much more possible, and we will definitely be moving in this direction, but we simply have to introduce the regulations that are in place in many countries, including the EU, for example in France, that companies of this type, which create and disseminate information, can have foreign shareholders, but their stake must be limited, minority. And that’s it. That’s how it should look - stated Jarosław Kaczyński in Węgrów.

19:31

Kaczyński on Bosak:

A Young, Very Promising Politician.

"He is a young [Krzysztof Bosak], a very promising politician. They are attacking him recently for not finishing his studies. Of course, I believe that a politician should finish their studies, but there are people who haven't finished and are wise, and there are those who are professors and are stupid," stated Jarosław Kaczyński in Węgrów.

19:43

Żurek Speaks on the Ziobro Matter:

The Hungarian Side's Stance is Unacceptable.

"Firstly – the Hungarian side's stance is unacceptable. Information about Zbigniew Ziobro's alleged 'asylum' has not yet been confirmed through any official international channels. The ongoing proceedings have not been halted. On January 15th, the court will consider the prosecutor's request for an arrest warrant for the former Minister of Justice. The decision in this complex case, involving as many as 26 charges, will be made by an independent court." – wrote Waldemar Żurek on X.

"Secondly – a final court ruling has confirmed that the reinstatement of Dariusz Barski to the prosecutor's service in 2022 was carried out in violation of current regulations and had no legal effect. This is because a provision of the law was applied that was no longer in force. This means that the decision of the Prosecutor General of January 12, 2024, was in accordance with the law, and the dispute over the status of the National Prosecutor has been unequivocally settled – he is Prosecutor Dariusz Korneluk. Today's meeting between President Karol Nawrocki and Dariusz Barski had a private character." – he continued in his post.

"Thirdly – the first indictment in the case of irregularities at the National Centre for Research and Development has been submitted to the District Court in Warsaw. It concerns 33 individuals accused of participating in an organized criminal group, defrauding funds from European funds, issuing false invoices, and money laundering. Nearly PLN 5 million was defrauded, and an attempt was made to defraud nearly PLN 43 million. Some of the accused have pleaded guilty. And this is just the beginning." – he emphasized.

"Let's set emotions aside, we are firmly grounded. Although it is extremely regrettable to see the flight of a former Polish Government minister under the umbrella of a loyal ally of Putin, while another hail of bombs and rockets falls on residential areas in Ukraine." – he added.

"As for Hungary, I would just like to remind you that it has been at the core of EU institutions' interest for years due to its violations of the rule of law. This applies to areas such as civil society, media and scientific freedom, and the justice system. Huge EU funds for Hungarians are frozen, and there have already been 9 formal hearings before the Council of the EU regarding the rule of law." – he stated.

"Why did Zbigniew Ziobro believe that going there would be the best course of action? Why does he want to 'restore' democracy in Poland from there? Further comment is unnecessary." – he concluded.

19:50

Domański on the Ziobro Affair:

Fortunately, There’s No Major Impact on Markets and the Economy.

- Fortunately, the actions of Minister Ziobro do not have any particularly significant impact on markets or the economy. The zloty is strong, bonds are strengthening. Mr. Ziobro is not disrupting our plans here – said Andrzej Domański in an interview with Marek Tejchman on Polsat News’s “Gość Wydarzeń” (Guest of Events).

19:57

Domański Asked About Potential Meeting with the President:

My Boss is the Prime Minister.

- I am a member of the government. My boss is Donald Tusk. I consult, discuss, and present plans concerning public finances or, more broadly, Poland's economic development to the Prime Minister. He is the boss, he directs the work of the government. And we have, I also want to say this very clearly, a constitution in Poland - said Andrzej Domański in "Gość Wydarzeń" on Polsat News, when asked if he would meet with the president.

20:00

Domański:

Public Finances Suffer from Presidential Vetoes

- The President absolutely has the right [to] assess laws. He cannot demand that the government first consult with him on bills. That would disrupt a certain natural order, moreover, one described in the constitution. It is the government that governs - said Andrzej Domański on Polsat News's "Gość Wydarzeń".

- The President has the right to veto, and he very readily uses this right, of course. It is a pity when public finances, or as in the case of recent decisions, the finances of the National Health Fund, suffer from this veto - he stated.

- Public finances are certainly [losing] from the President's vetoes. Two laws: the first concerning the sugar tax, the second concerning excise duty on alcohol. This represents a loss of 3 billion zlotys for the public finance sector - he pointed out.

20:06

Pełczyńska-Nałęcz:

If Ziobro Had a Clear Conscience, He Wouldn't Fear a Court Decision

- This is an evasion of justice; if Mr. Ziobro had a clear conscience, he wouldn't fear a court decision. Of course, the court decides; I'm not here to pass judgment, but it's evident that these charges are serious and they simply concern the abuse of public funds. This is no heroism; it looks like a misuse, an abuse of money that belongs to citizens, and then an escape to Budapest, to a person who truly offers asylum, someone who visits Putin and shares a very similar worldview - said Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz on TVN24's "Kropka nad i".

20:09

Will the President Send the Budget Bill to the Constitutional Tribunal? Domański: I am an Optimist

- Not signing the budget bill, sending it to the Constitutional Tribunal means that we are operating on a draft bill - said Andrzej Domański in "Gość Wydarzeń" on Polsat News.

- In practice, this means that there are no additional funds for services that we secured during the parliamentary proceedings, [...] additional funds for the ABW and the Intelligence Agency. There are no additional funds for science, which were also added during the parliamentary proceedings. [...] It is worth remembering that according to the Public Finance Act, salary increases in the public sector are paid out upon signing, effectively after the budget bill is signed, not in a situation where we are operating on a draft - he continued.

- However, I am probably a greater optimist than many analysts. I believe that this budget bill should not raise any constitutional doubts - he stated.

- The budgets of these institutions, which - as we assume - the President particularly cares about, have increased in relation to 2025 by roughly the same amount as expenditures are generally increasing, by the amount of inflation - he indicated.

20:19

Pełczyńska-Nałęcz:

I Can't Imagine the Poland 2050 Board Without Hennig-Kloska

- I have this assumption that once the election results are in, there will be an internal discussion, and there will certainly be information for all voters, for people, about who is on the board of Poland 2050. Frankly, I can't imagine that board without Paulina Hennig-Kloska, who is a truly super important person in our party, she is a very good minister, and that is my vision for our shared board, but everything is still to be decided - said Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz in the TVN24 program “Kropka nad i”.

20:28

Domański on the PIP Act:

We Must Reconcile the Interests of Employers and Employees.

- It was definitely the Prime Minister's decision not to continue work on this bill [on the reform of the National Labour Inspectorate]. I was not consulted on this particular bill - said Andrzej Domański in "Gość Wydarzeń" on Polsat News.

- Marshal Czarzasty is of course right here. The Left in this government - and I can say this as someone who has spoken many times with both Marshal Czarzasty and Minister Dziemianowicz-Bąk - certainly looks after the interests of employees. Just like the entire government, like Civic Coalition, and other parties forming the coalition - he stated.

When asked if it was a good decision to withdraw the bill, he replied: - A very good one. Because we need solutions that, while remembering the interests of employees, do not throw the baby out with the bathwater and also remember the interests of employers.

- We must reconcile the interests of employers and employees. In the opinion of many circles, this bill did not serve that purpose. And therefore, in accordance with the declarations of the Prime Minister and Marshal Czarzasty, we are working on new solutions, or more precisely, Minister Dziemianowicz-Bąk will be working on them - he continued.

Czarzasty's Proposal on Reparations:

There is no security for Poland without Germany's security.

- I have hope. Because we need to talk about it. I am absolutely not distancing myself from it. I am here to remind people of this matter, without forgetting other issues. Do I want to shy away from arguments like 'let's only talk about reparations because it's the most important thing in the world'? To truly conclude World War II. Fine, we need to talk about it. In my opinion, in three aspects - stated Włodzimierz Czarzasty at a press briefing in Germany.

- And this is what I want to present to the German President, the head of parliament, and the Minister of National Defence. I have a couple more meetings where I will present this. The first matter is the issue of compensation for living individuals; this should happen. Prime Minister Tusk was right when he said, 'Hurry up with this matter.' We know why. These living people should feel that they know they have been wronged. In their opinion, and in ours, there has been no compensation. Therefore, it must be done - the Marshal of the Sejm continued.

- The second matter is the issue of symbolism, the entire symbolism. Yes, we know. I will lay flowers at the site where a monument dedicated to Polish victims, to Poles in Berlin, is to be built. It is known that monuments can be built faster or slower. I would like to speed up this construction a bit, saying that this is the second sphere and it is a very serious sphere. And a third very serious sphere. When talking about reparations, I would rather focus on achieving this by building these reparations, for example, through joint infrastructure that will give us a future. This is how I think one should talk with Germany - he said.

- Alright, let's build something together, let's undertake great infrastructural projects. That is one direction, and it is a serious direction. A second very serious direction. Let's invest in our security. You can transfer enormous financial resources, for example, to joint infrastructure or invest in joint security. You can give more. You can think about it, because you are also threatened, and we are threatened - Czarzasty emphasized.

As he said: - So, if for legal reasons you believe there is no point in returning to these reparations, directly paid for what tragically happened to us during World War II, then let's talk in this way. Let's fulfill this element of reparations through joint initiatives in infrastructure, economy, and security. There are many projects related to security.

- You know that Germany is building, is trying to build that dome, similar to what Israel built at one time, regarding security. Okay, why shouldn't this dome also cover Poland? If there are technical possibilities, if there are technical possibilities, why should Germany invest in it? Why can't an element of these reparations translate into this, if there is no other way or if it is difficult to negotiate that way. Is it easy? Difficult, because more years have passed since the end of World War II, and there are many arguments from Germany's side that they do not want to go that way. Well, if someone doesn't want to go one way, there is another way. I won't say there's a third way, because this might not be the right place to talk about a third way, but I simply think so and this is the way of thinking I want to present - he continued.

- Let's invest together, let's build our security together, let's create infrastructural elements together. That's what ministers are for. That's what the government is for. I am here to create a climate around this and say we want to cooperate with you. There is no security. This thesis - there is no security for Poland without Germany's security. I believe in this, just as I believe that there is no secure Poland without a secure, independent, functioning Ukraine - he stressed.
