Friday's Political Agenda: Nawrocki-Tusk Meeting, President with Farmers, Sejm Debates Asylum Suspension and Budget Amendments

President Meets with Farmers

- President Nawrocki will meet with representatives of protesting farmers and agricultural communities here at the Presidential Palace at 10:00 AM. He wishes to engage in dialogue and assist Polish farmers, working together to build responsibility for Poland's food security. The President hopes the government also desires this dialogue, stated Zbigniew Bogucki at a press conference.

Nawrocki-Tusk Meeting

A meeting between President Karol Nawrocki and Prime Minister Donald Tusk is scheduled to take place today.

Last Day of the Sejm Session

The Sejm will resume its proceedings at 9:00 AM with current questions, and at 11:15 AM, it will hear a topical report – at the request of the PSL parliamentary club – concerning the implementation of the "Active Farmer" program.

At 12:45 PM, the first reading of the government's draft bill on space activities will take place, and at 2:00 PM, the first reading of the government's draft amendment to the act on the exchange of tax information with other countries.

At 3:15 PM, the Sejm will consider the Council of Ministers' motion for the Sejm of the Republic of Poland to consent to the extension of the temporary restriction on the right to apply for international protection at the state border with the Republic of Belarus.

At 4:30 PM, a 1.5-hour voting block will commence, during which MPs will vote on, among other things, the Senate's amendments to the 2026 budget act. Friday marks the final day of the Sejm session.

At 9:00 AM, the Pegasus parliamentary investigative committee will question witness number 25. At 12:00 PM, a closed session of the committee will be held.

At 10:00 AM in Warsaw, a press conference will be held by President Rafał Trzaskowski and representatives of city services and units, concerning the city's actions during the cold spell.

At 11:30 AM in Warsaw, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defence Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, along with the Minister of Science and Higher Education Marcin Kulasek, will sign a joint agreement on the implementation of voluntary military training for students and graduates of higher education institutions within the Legia Akademicka (Academic Legion) Schools.
