Perhaps Mentzen could send his banners only towards Moscow. Przydacz on the scenario where we didn't help Ukraine

- I understand that this is somewhat a reference to: "Wałęsa, give back my 100 million" - Marcin Przydacz said on Polsat News' "Gość Wydarzeń", when asked about today's Confederation protest with Sławomir Mentzen and the banner "Zelensky, give back our 100 billion".

- I believe this is a bit of a populist move by Mr. Sławomir Mentzen, playing to the crowd, to his own voters - he assessed.

- I believe that a firm, assertive policy must be pursued. However, in the situation where the Ukrainian state was on the verge of collapse, when it was unknown if it would survive, the role that Poland played in the first days before and after the war was absolutely crucial for maintaining Ukrainian statehood - he emphasized.

- Even if it cost some millions or billions of zlotys at that time, this expense had to be incurred. Because otherwise, we would have the Russian army already somewhere near the Polish borders, and we certainly wouldn't feel safe. Perhaps Mr. Sławomir Mentzen doesn't understand this, or perhaps he is simply cynically playing to criticize all other politicians domestically - he stated.

- We must demand things from Ukraine, we must be assertive towards it, but in the situation of Russian threat, it was necessary to help it, and it's good that we helped it then as Poland. I think that thanks to this, we feel safer today, and thanks to this, Mr. Sławomir Mentzen can hang a banner to President Zelensky. Because if we hadn't helped then, perhaps Zelensky wouldn't be here today, and Mr. Mentzen could only send his banners towards Moscow - he indicated.
