- About 5 years ago, there was a hacker attack that targeted several dozen email accounts of Polish politicians and officials [...]. For nearly 5 years, the prosecutor's office has not found those who committed this intrusion, those who committed this crime. Today, however, one of the victims, meaning myself, is to be charged, as I have been summoned to the prosecutor's office for this purpose today at 12 PM - said Michał Dworczyk at a press conference.

- The first charge is said to concern the failure to fulfill duties. The problem is that the Prosecutor General, when asked by the legal committee of the European Parliament about which duties I failed to fulfill, could not answer, which is why the process of lifting my immunity lasted over a year - he continued.

- The second [charge] [...] concerns the alleged obstruction of the investigation. [...] No one is more interested in finding these hackers than I am. If I wanted to delete any emails, as the prosecution suggests, I could have done so, because I was the administrator of that mailbox. There would have been no problem. It's just that I simply didn't do it - he added.

- We are dealing with an absolutely absurd situation today. The victim who was attacked is now being prosecuted by the services and the prosecutor's office. Let everyone consider whether this is how things should be in a normal country, whether this is how things should be in a democratic country, that political opponents become so enraged that they do everything to use the state apparatus, the prosecutor's office, to prosecute Minister Michał Dworczyk - said Mateusz Morawiecki.

- I want to repeat the words that our leader, the President of Law and Justice, Prime Minister Jarosław Kaczyński, conveyed to me: showing solidarity with Michał Dworczyk is our duty, and we will all show such solidarity, just as we previously showed it towards Dariusz Matecki and Zbigniew Ziobro, and we will also show it towards Michał Dworczyk - said Przemysław Czarnek.
