Sejm Considers Presidential Veto
The three-day Sejm session begins at 10:00 AM.
At 1:30 PM, the second reading of the Left (Lewica) party's bill is scheduled, which includes, among other things, the elimination of the right of municipal councils to apply discounts when selling residential premises.
At 2:30 PM, the first reading of the government's bill on the cryptocurrency market is planned.
At 4:15 PM, the Sejm will re-examine the bill introducing a complete ban on keeping dogs on a leash. This is a consequence of the president's veto on this matter. It is known that the committee will recommend that MPs re-enact the law.
Voting will commence at 6:00 PM, and at 6:30 PM, the second reading of a parliamentary bill concerning the design of an electronic platform for the process of electronically supporting candidates in elections is scheduled.
Government Session
The government session will begin at 12:00 PM. The Council of Ministers will address draft legislation concerning the exchange of tax information with other countries and the establishment of the National Security University.
The session will also cover a draft amendment to the laws on foreign trade of goods, technologies, and services of strategic importance for state security, as well as on carrying out business activities related to the production and trade of explosives, weapons, ammunition, and military or police-purpose products and technologies.
08:04
- No, [PiS will not collapse]. I can repeat after President Kaczyński that this exchange is unfortunate, even highly so, and generally, I can repeat my appeal to all my friends. These are, of course, very difficult programmatic discussions regarding the course for the future, in the coming months, because it will be a very important year. However, it is also worth keeping certain disputes, which always occur, to oneself, rather than broadcasting them on social media - stated Przemysław Czarnek in an interview with Bogdan Rymanowski on Radio Zet.
08:04
Brudziński on the situation within PiS:
I am calm.
- I am calm when it comes to the situation within the party, because the leader of this party remains Jarosław Kaczyński - said Joachim Brudziński in "Morning Ring".
- I have had a long enough perspective to remember the uprisings organized by my colleagues within Poland 21 after PiS lost the elections in 2007, I remember the formation of PJN, I remember the formation of Solidarna Polska, I remember departures, and later returns, these kinds of frictions are something normal and natural - he continued.
08:08
Czarnek on Morawiecki's declaration:
I'm glad, this cuts short speculation.
- I am glad about this declaration [by Mateusz Morawiecki], because it cuts short any speculation. There is truly room to fight Tusk today, rather than creating new political formations. Someone is drawing us into these completely unnecessary discussions, at a time when soon, for example, there will be a Christmas wafer meeting at the Lublin Oncology Center, where I head the social council, to which the National Health Fund (NFZ) owes 50 million PLN and has no intention of paying - stated Przemysław Czarnek on Radio Zet.
08:09
Czarnek:
If Russia Attacked Us, You Couldn't Form a Government with Someone Serving German-Russian Interests
- I repeat that if Russia attacked us, you couldn't form a government with someone who serves German-Russian interests. There is no such possibility - stated Przemysław Czarnek on Radio Zet.
08:13
- I think [Mateusz Morawiecki's idea about establishing a staff] is worth considering. If such a staff were to be established, and it likely will be over time, the closer we get to the elections, the sooner the better, in my opinion, then someone like Paweł Szefernaker, who is organizationally capable, should head such a staff - stated Przemysław Czarnek on Radio Zet.
08:15
Brudziński on Kurski:
Unfortunately, He Has a Destructive Trait.
"Jacek Kurski is a person with a plethora of talents, and I say this without any irony. He is a man who is brimming with ideas, invaluable in various types of campaigns, but he also unfortunately possesses, and I say this with regret, a destructive trait," said Joachim Brudziński on the Super Ring channel.
"He exhibited such a trait, for instance, in the times when he switched parties like gloves, only to always return to his roots, i.e., to Law and Justice," he continued.
"He also demonstrated this destructive trait as an otherwise excellent president of public television, but at the same time, he was so focused on himself that he tired viewers with reruns of various events in which he played a leading role, and it ended as it ended," he went on to say.
08:23
Brudziński Appeals to Morawiecki:
When Kaczyński Calls for a Meeting...
- It would be good for the vice-chairman of our party, Mateusz Morawiecki, whom I greatly value for his competence, knowledge, and also his calm [...] but on the other hand, I would also like to appeal to Mateusz Morawiecki that when Jarosław Kaczyński calls for a leadership meeting, he simply shows up - said Joachim Brudziński on the Super Ring channel.
08:27
- Nothing amuses or irritates me more than the question of whether we will form a coalition with Braun or with Mentzen - said Joachim Brudziński on the Super Ring channel.
- We are a party called Law and Justice. We are going into these elections and we want to convince Poles to trust us enough so that we can return to power, but not on Braun's back or on Mentzen's rams - he continued.
08:47
Cienkowska on Exhumations:
There are no roadblocks from the Ukrainian side.
- Yesterday, a Polish-Ukrainian working group meeting took place, dealing with these matters, [...] which is chaired by Mr. Paweł Kowal on the Polish side. We actually summarized the first year of work, because exactly a year ago this group began its operations. And beyond the summary, meaning what we managed to achieve, namely these two exhumations, two burials, we managed to plan work for 2026 - said Marta Cienkowska in the "Morning Interview" on RMF FM.
- Certainly, the village of Ugły, meaning the new consent we received from the Ukrainian side, but we also planned work for the coming year. [...] We are primarily very keen to conduct search operations in the village of Puźniki, because we suspect there might be another mass grave there [...]. We would very much like to begin work in the area of the former village of Huta Pieniacka and in the locality of Ostrówki - she continued.
- We have truly very good cooperation with the Ukrainian side and I am genuinely confident that we will manage to complete most of the work we have planned for the coming year. [...] This past year was a completely different year of work, cooperation, a completely new opening of this work concerning exhumations. [...] Over this year, we have made a huge leap - she emphasized.
- So, if someone tells me that the Ukrainians once said this would be unfeasible, I now say: here you go, we already have two burials, we have finished work in two locations, and we are starting in a third. There are absolutely no roadblocks from the Ukrainian side - she pointed out.
08:52
- My plan is for January 1, 2027 - Marta Cienkowska said in the "Morning Interview" on RMF FM, when asked when Poles will finally no longer have to pay the radio and television subscription.
08:58
- Often lone wolves, as we call them, meaning attackers who want to make some kind of mark, are first poisoned by some ideology. They find this ideology on the internet, sometimes they are recruited by groups. Here we have a different situation, where someone is somehow poisoned and tries to organize some kind of attack themselves, sometimes more skillfully, sometimes less skillfully - said Waldemar Żurek in “Sygnały Dnia” PR1
- We must be aware that a huge danger is what we see from Russia, namely recruitment via Telegram, then cryptocurrencies, which become remuneration, and the search for individuals who, not for ideological reasons, but for quick profit, are willing to perform certain tasks. Sometimes it seems to us that these are harmless things, like writing some anti-Ukrainian slogans, or conversely, some Ukrainian nationalist slogans, and Russians pay you for it with cryptocurrency - Waldemar Żurek continued.
- I would also like to refer to this because we recently had the situation with the presidential veto of the act that was supposed to regulate the cryptocurrency market, it was supposed to allow the state to control companies that operate legally, but also a huge number of shell companies that operate solely to defraud Polish citizens, but behind this also lurks Russian intelligence. We know that before the elections in our country, they will destroy our democracy using cryptocurrencies, Telegram accounts, and bots - continued the Minister of Justice.
08:58
Cienkowska:
Media Bill Could Reach Government Around Late February
- The media bill has currently been sent for public and inter-ministerial consultations simultaneously, as we want to speed up this work, and it will last until January 23rd. [...] We will then have to develop the conclusions from these consultations - said Marta Cienkowska in the "Morning Interview" on RMF FM.
- I estimate that we will need about a month for this bill to reach the government after January 23rd. [...] I estimate it will reach the government around the end of February, and then we will send it to the Sejm - she stated.
09:05
Cienkowska:
I bet the President will sign the media bill
- I bet that the President will sign this [media] bill, because for many months, including in his campaign, he has spoken about the need to depoliticize public media, to rebuild trust - Marta Cienkowska said on RMF FM's 'Morning Interview'.
- I haven't discussed it with the President yet, but I believe the President will sign this bill because he has repeatedly stated that he wants to rebuild trust in public media - the Minister of Culture continued.
- But we will also surely see if Jacek Kurski happens to be standing somewhere behind the President - she added.
09:11
- Please remember that very many political parties in Poland, when they made a mistake in accounting some amount, had to pay multi-million zloty compensations, just due to an error, because they didn't receive subsidies from the state election commission. Here, a kind of party electoral fund was created from completely different means. The means with which Pegasus was purchased, again spent illegally, to hide the purchase of this device, in order to surveil the opposition in the country, his political opponents - said Waldemar Żurek in “Sygnały Dnia” PR1
- In civilized countries, one goes to prison for years for such things, and Minister Ziobro says that I didn't steal, I'm not a gangster with a Kalashnikov walking around with a gold chain on my neck, he simply has soldiers who shoot people. At the same time, he himself said earlier, there is no mercy for white-collar criminals and he also said that one must not hide behind immunity. We can thus reach back to Al Capone, who handed out free soup to many of his citizens and was adored - Waldemar Żurek continued.
09:20
- I have been promised that this rule of law act concerning the status of judges, what we call the mother act, will be presented to the government in December. I do not expect cooperation from the Presidential Chancellery on this matter, as we are currently being attacked for it. Regarding the act on the National Council of the Judiciary (KRS), I genuinely don't know what the President will be able to object to, as it represents a very deep compromise. In my opinion, all these acts are compliant with EU law, and most importantly, with our constitution. We are also proceeding with further acts concerning the return of judges from retirement, those judges whom this neo-KRS had sent into retirement – stated Waldemar Żurek in “Sygnały Dnia” on PR1
09:27
- Firstly, it's not the entire Helsinki Foundation for Human Rights. One could say it's the stance of the Helsinki Foundation, but I know people on the foundation's board who are very critical of this position taken by, essentially, two lawyers, young people. I don't want to debate them, because I have the impression they want us to talk about their opinion, as they want to build their legal careers on it, that's how I see it. I say this with some regret, because I know these people personally, and there's a logical fallacy in all of this. They continue to treat these individuals as legally appointed judges, and I fundamentally disagree with that - said Waldemar Żurek on "Sygnały Dnia" (Signals of the Day) on PR1.
09:29
- On Friday, December 19, around 1:00 PM, President Zelensky will visit. I say ‘around’ because the program of acceptance by President Nawrocki is not yet fully known. Therefore, he will come directly to the parliament from the Presidential Palace. First, he will meet in the Sejm, and then President Zelensky will meet in the Senate - stated Włodzimierz Czarzasty at a press conference in the Sejm.
09:32
- We received two legal opinions. These opinions, in short, inform us that even if we were to declassify the deliberations, the session, we would still have to classify elements that were presented during that session. Consequently, the recommendations are not to do it because it has never been done in the Sejm, and there is no established procedure for it in any regulations. Therefore, yesterday I informed the Presidium and the Convention of Seniors. I provided the legal opinions to all parliamentary groups and caucuses - stated Włodzimierz Czarzasty at a press conference in the Sejm.

Morawiecki's Lengthy Post:
Let's Not Fight Polish Right-Wingers. Let's Not Fight Each Other.
"United we win - divided we lose. This is a lesson from Polish history that some have yet to learn." - wrote Mateusz Morawiecki on X.
"In 2019, as PiS - a large, united, broad right-wing formation, encompassing many streams of thought about Poland and its future - we won the elections at a historically high level. Why? Because we combined a modern vision of development, a wide-ranging social policy, and the protection of traditional Polish values into one program - Poland as a solidarity-based, caring welfare state." - he continued in his post.
"A real offer for Poles and the hard work of thousands of PiS activists brought victory to the party, and our country an unprecedented, historic civilizational leap, which the whole world speaks of with recognition today. This is no accident. It is a consistent implementation of a strategy that brought success to everyone. I repeat - everyone. Today we must return to the fundamentals of this winning strategy. Its foundation is unity." - he added.
"I understand that unity does not mean silence and universal acceptance. Unity means honest debate, not marginalizing 90% of the community and competing in radicalism. Therefore, we must return to the model of seeking broad support from all right-wing circles. Just as US President Ronald Reagan once did and forever changed American politics, and incidentally - significantly contributed to the fall of the evil empire, i.e., the USSR." - he pointed out.
"Today, to defeat common enemies - those domestic, political - and those external, who threaten us with war, we must unite. Let's fight this government that is harmful to Poland. Let's fight Brussels' centralist ambitions. Let's fight the harmful Green Deal ideology. Let's fight the Migration Pact. Let's fight for secure, sealed borders. Let's fight the budget deficit. Let's fight for better healthcare." - reads Morawiecki's post.
"Let's not fight Polish right-wingers. Let's not fight each other. Let's fight for Poland. One battle every day. Until victory!" - the former Prime Minister concluded.

Zandberg on Gliński's Words:
PiS Leadership Apparently Unfamiliar with Serious Arguments.
- Chickens will stop laying eggs, cows will stop giving milk. What have these brats come up with, sir! - wrote Adrian Zandberg on social media.
- The elderly PiS leadership apparently doesn't know serious arguments about train speeds - stated the leader of Razem, commenting on Piotr Gliński's morning statement, who said on Polsat News: "Why do we need trains going 350 km/h? People will be afraid to board them!".
.@PiotrGlinski: Po co nam pociągi jadące 350 km/h? Ludzie się będą bali do nich wsiąść! @marcinfijolek: Dość... kontrowersyjny argument. @PiotrGlinski: Tak Pan uważa? Ja wolę spokojnie sobie pojechać w warunkach przewidywalnych. pic.twitter.com/LqvyEuGAHi

The National Prosecutor's Office has reported on three cases on its website.
Indictment Against Macierewicz
"On December 15, 2025, a prosecutor from Investigation Team No. 4 of the National Prosecutor's Office filed an indictment with the District Court in Warsaw against Antoni Macierewicz, a Member of the Sejm of the Republic of Poland and former Minister of National Defence" - reads the prosecution's website.
The former Minister of National Defence has been accused of, as a public official, disclosing classified information, including details marked "strictly confidential," "confidential," "restricted," and "for authorized use," concerning the circumstances of the Tu-154 aircraft crash in Smolensk.
"This act, cumulatively qualified under Article 265 § 1 of the Penal Code and Article 266 § 1 and § 2 of the Penal Code, is punishable by imprisonment for up to 5 years. The justification for the indictment is entirely classified" - the prosecution states.
Investigation into Tu-154M Halted
"A prosecutor from Investigation Team No. 4 has halted the investigation under reference number 1001-13.Ds.7.2024 concerning the exceeding of powers by members of the Subcommittee for the Re-examination of the Aviation Accident of April 10, 2010, including its Chairman, by destroying the Tu-154M aircraft no. 102 [...]; and the failure to fulfill duties by the Minister of National Defence, by neglecting actions to prevent the destruction of the Tu-154M aircraft no. 102 [...]" - reads the prosecution's announcement.
As reported by the prosecution, the proceedings were discontinued due to the absence of elements constituting a prohibited act. The prosecutor ruled that the members of the so-called Smolensk subcommittee did not exceed their authority: they had the right to conduct technical research, the aircraft was already decommissioned before the commencement of work, and the actions taken by the subcommittee were not motivated by an intent to cause harm or obstruct criminal proceedings.
Charges Against Former Head of CBA
"On December 17, 2025, a prosecutor from Investigation Team No. 3 of the National Prosecutor's Office presented Ernest B., the former Head of the Central Anticorruption Bureau, with charges of neglecting official duties in connection with the approval and use of the Pegasus IT system" - informs the prosecution.
"The charges concern the failure to fulfill, between September 2017 and February 2020, duties defined in the Act on the Protection of Classified Information and the Act on the CBA. The neglect of these duties involved the approval and subsequent use of an IT system containing Pegasus software for processing classified information obtained through operational controls, despite the fact that this system lacked the required IT security accreditation" - claims the prosecution.
As reported by the prosecution, Ernest B., interrogated as a suspect, pleaded not guilty to the charges brought against him and refused to provide explanations. The offense with which the former head of the CBA is charged is punishable by imprisonment for up to three years.

Deputy Prime Minister announces:
We are preparing to increase the presence of American troops.
- Our security vectors are invariably directed towards Western countries. We are part of Western civilization. The USA is our fundamental partner in building security. Poland is strengthening its relations and we are preparing not only to maintain the American contingent in Poland, but to increase the presence of American troops - stated Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz in Warsaw.
- But we know well that Europe must be stronger, which is why a great success of the past year, of the Polish presidency, is the creation of the SAFE program with 150 billion for the construction of Polish and European security - the Deputy Prime Minister and head of the Ministry of National Defense continued.
14:41
- Firstly, on Thursday and Friday, the European Council meeting is taking place, the last one this year, extremely important because it also concerns the future of Ukraine and Europe's security issues. I know that President Zelensky will also participate partly in Brussels, in part of these discussions - stated Adam Szłapka at a press conference in the Chancellery of the Prime Minister (KPRM).
- Prime Minister Tusk met with President Zelensky on Monday in Berlin, and most likely will also meet on Thursday in Brussels. On Monday in Berlin, they also discussed Friday's visit and, in principle, if the European Council meeting does not extend significantly, then such a meeting will of course take place - he continued.
14:47
- Tomorrow at 10:00 AM, the President of the Republic of Poland, Karol Nawrocki, will receive NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte at the Presidential Palace - informed Rafał Leśkiewicz on social media.

- From what the Prime Minister said, what he conveyed, immediately after the National Security Council meeting, there were still attempts at coordination and contact with the President from the Prime Minister's side. However, after the National Security Council, on September 12th, the last contact from the Prime Minister to the President remained unanswered - said Adam Szłapka during a press conference.
- Earlier there were also such direct contact attempts, which also went unanswered, so unfortunately this is a problem. However, from the government's side, from the Prime Minister's side, there was full openness. After the National Security Council, this direct contact de facto broke off - he continued.

Szłapka Asked About Dobrzyński's Membership in ORMO:
This Doesn't Heavily Burden His Activities.
- The spokesperson, Dobrzyński, addressed these accusations [about being in ORMO]. And it's not something that heavily burdens his activities. As far as I know, he held a completely insignificant role there, if any. I don't know the matter well - stated Adam Szłapka at a press conference in the Chancellery of the Prime Minister.
- However, some media outlets have turned this into very serious hate speech. I haven't noticed any information in those media outlets ever appearing about, for example, the former PiS MP, prosecutor Piotrowicz, being awarded the Order of Merit by Jaruzelski, or about a former deputy minister in Jarosław Kaczyński's government sentencing people for participating in patriotic actions on November 11th - he continued.
- I think spokesperson Dobrzyński has addressed this. As the government spokesperson, I am very satisfied with his work as the spokesperson for the coordinator of special services, and I think he is doing a great job and will certainly continue to do so - added the government spokesperson.

Pełczyńska-Nałęcz Publishes a Photo from the Sejm:
To Stir the Conscience.
"Sherlock came to the Sejm today to stir the conscience of MPs (mainly from PiS) who are wavering on the chain law. The law prohibiting keeping dogs on chains was vetoed by Karol Nawrocki. The vote is at 6 PM. Let's ban this atrocity once and for all!" - wrote Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz on X.

Bogucki on the Presidential Veto:
The President Favors Unleashing the Dogs from their Chains.
- The President of the Republic of Poland is in favor of unleashing the dogs from their chains, of removing these chains from the dogs that are imprisoned by them. And he submitted a relevant bill to this effect on the same day he refused to sign the bill that is being reconsidered today - stated Zbigniew Bogucki in the Sejm.

Szefernaker Summarizes Meeting at the Presidential Palace:
Among Many Conclusions, One is Particularly Significant.
"Today, a meeting was held at the Presidential Palace dedicated to the act introducing fundamental changes in education, adopted by the parliamentary majority. Representatives of educational circles and trade unions representing several dozen entities took the floor. Thank you to everyone for this important conversation" - wrote Paweł Szefernaker on X.
"Among many conclusions, one is particularly significant: the education of our children requires broad discussion, consensus, and a departure from ideological concepts" - he continued.
"Matters of education are particularly important for President Karol Nawrocki, which he repeatedly emphasized during the election campaign. Therefore, the President's Cabinet, as a place for expert debates, will also be a forum for debate on the future of Polish education" - he noted in his post.

Bogucki in the Sejm on Freeing Dogs from Chains:
We Could Do This Across Divisions, But You Don't Want To.
- I will repeat once more: the President's project is clearly and decisively aimed at freeing not only dogs, but all domestic animals, and the lie that you are spreading [...] no matter how you repeat it, or in how many grammatical cases you decline it, it will remain your lie - said Zbigniew Bogucki during a Sejm session.
- Today, instead of this debate, we could be discussing the presidential bill or a new proposal, but you want political games. [...] We could do this across divisions, but you don't want to - he continued.
- Let's sit down together, let's write this project, in fact, it already exists. If you want to improve it, the President is absolutely in favor of working on it. And let's not wait a year, as you wanted and passed, but let's do it in three months or six months. Are you for it, or not? - he went on to say.
18:39
Bogucki Addresses Tuska from the Parliamentary Podium:
Mr. Prime Minister, What Have All These People Done to Offend You?
- Mr. Prime Minister, could I ask today, what have the patients who cannot get to a doctor done to offend you? And what have the children, pregnant women, and the elderly, whom you actually want to deprive of most free medications, done to offend you? What have those court employees, who hung a banner here and are asking for a raise, done to offend you? Finally, what have your voters done to offend you, that you couldn't fulfill your promises? Mr. Prime Minister, what have all these people done to offend you? - stated Zbigniew Bogucki in the Sejm.
18:42
Bogucki Attacks Tusk Again, Recalling Archival Statements:
Whose Leash Were You On Then?
- What is this, Mr. Prime Minister, if not meanness? Is it not mean to address parliamentarians and speak in such a manner? And if I wanted to be malicious, I would ask – whose leash were you on a dozen or so years ago? Whose leash were you on then, when they called him a man in Warsaw, Russian propaganda. When you said you would ensure that you wouldn’t throw sand in the gears together with Prime Minister Putin, whose side were you on, whose leash were you on? - stated Zbigniew Bogucki in the Sejm.
18:45
246 deputies voted in favour of the motion to re-enact the so-called Chain Act. 192 deputies voted against it, and no one abstained.
In practice, this means that the Sejm has upheld the president's veto – the majority needed to override it was 263.
19:01
- The preparatory meetings for the G20 summit in this round have concluded. This was the first meeting of the heads here in Washington; further meetings are planned for spring, summer, and then directly in December of next year in Florida, just before the summit itself. As we were informed, the summit will take place in Miami, but G20 program elements are also foreseen at Mar-a-Lago - stated Marcin Przydacz at a press briefing in Washington.
19:08
- First and foremost, I would like the bill prepared by the President to be on the government's work agenda. This bill fundamentally changes things and is primarily the President's response to the voices of animal welfare advocates, so that this bill, the one the President proposed by vetoing the chain law, moves to parliamentary proceedings, said Rafał Leśkiewicz in "3 Questions at the End of the Day" on Radio Zet.
19:10
Tusk Comments on Sejm Vote:
Kaczyński's Symbolic Capitulation.
- The Law and Justice party (PiS) meekly tucked its tail and upheld the president's veto. Kaczyński's symbolic capitulation – he lacked the courage to stand up for animals and fled before the vote. Only the dogs are to be pitied - Prime Minister Donald Tusk wrote on social media.
PiS potulnie podkulił ogon i podtrzymał weto prezydenta. Symboliczna kapitulacja Kaczyńskiego - nie miał odwagi stanąć w obronie zwierząt i uciekł przed głosowaniem. Tylko psów żal.

Leśkiewicz:
Duda Invited Zelensky Just Days After His Election Victory
- The first conversation between President Zelensky and President Duda was a phone call. Imagine, this was just a dozen or so days after he won the presidential election. This can be verified, as we communicated it; it was at the end of June or the beginning of July. That's when the invitation came, the President said, "I await you in Poland, Mr. President, I would like to meet with you." Volodymyr Zelensky, of course, said, "I also invite you, Mr. President, to Kyiv." - said Rafał Leśkiewicz in "3 Questions at the End of the Day" on Radio Zet.
19:29
- The President, even when he was president-elect, reacted to Grzegorz Braun's scandalous antisemitic statement on Radio Wnet. I also reacted as the president's future spokesperson, a spokesperson in spe at the time. A motion was filed with the prosecutor's office of the Institute of National Remembrance, which was still headed by Karol Nawrocki, because he was officially the President of the Institute of National Remembrance until August 6th. The prosecutor's office took action, we condemn such behavior. One cannot deny the Holocaust, one cannot deny the functioning of gas chambers at Auschwitz-Birkenau - said Rafał Leśkiewicz in "3 Questions at the End of the Day" on Radio Zet.

- This is not true [that the president doesn't answer calls from the prime minister]. Contact between the Presidential Palace and the Chancellery of the President is ongoing. Somehow, Prime Minister Kosiniak-Kamysz managed to get through to the president; he confirmed it himself today, stating that they spoke, precisely in the context of Mr. Mark Rutte's visit - said Rafał Leśkiewicz in “3 Questions at the End of the Day” on Radio Zet.

- Tomorrow, a ceremony awarding state decorations to officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will take place at the Belvedere. Prime Minister Radosław Sikorski is, of course, invited. The decorations will be presented by the Undersecretary of State in the Chancellery of the President, Ms. Agnieszka Jędrzak, and a letter from the President of the Republic of Poland will be read in his name. This is despite what Minister Sikorski wrote just a few weeks ago, that he had blocked decorations for the officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Well, he didn't block them - said Rafał Leśkiewicz on "3 Questions at the End of the Day" on Radio Zet.

- It is sad [that the veto on the chain law was not overturned]. Keeping dogs on chains is cruelty, such a horror. Very, very bad treatment of animals. And it seemed like the most normal thing in the world that we in Poland could agree to stop doing this. The vast majority of Poles do not want this - said Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz in "Gość Wydarzeń" on Polsat News.
- PiS themselves voted for the law banning keeping dogs on chains. And then, when the President vetoed this law, suddenly everyone changed their minds and stated that it is humane and fine, let's keep dogs on chains. Sad - she stated.

Pełczyńska-Nałęcz:
It's Incomprehensible That the Possibility of Cruelly Keeping Dogs on Chains Persists Against the Will of the Majority of Poles
- A dog that is taken under care and treated ruthlessly and cruelly, kept in a tiny cage or on a chain, is something that people shouldn't do to dogs. And most Poles think so, and rightly so. We have this sensitivity here. It's beautiful that we have this sensitivity - said Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz on Polsat News' "Gość Wydarzeń."
- It is incomprehensible to me that, against the evident, decisive will of the majority of Poles, this possibility of cruelly keeping dogs on chains, simply causing suffering, is maintained - she stated.

Pełczyńska-Nałęcz Critically on Czarzasty:
It Looks Like the Freezer is Entering the Sejm.
- I really don't like the fact that it looks like the freezer is entering the Sejm again - Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz stated on Polsat News's "Gość Wydarzeń" (Guest of Events).
As she recalled: - We, as current co-coalition partners, while in opposition, all very firmly said that the freezer is a very bad PiS practice, because it truly was a very bad PiS practice. Marshal Hołownia, in accordance with our joint commitments, removed the freezer. All bills were procedurally processed.
- It is up to the MPs to vote whether a bill is bad or good. If the President's bill is bad, it can simply not be voted on. Of course, we will not vote for it - she pointed out.
- However, there is no such thing as a Marshal's veto in the Polish constitution. There is no such thing as a unilateral decision on whether a bill is suitable or unsuitable for voting. That is what the coalition majority is for, that is what the female and male MPs are for, to decide: good, not good, to amend it in committees - she continued.

- No - Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz stated on Polsat News's "Gość Wydarzeń" when asked if she felt ignored by the Prime Minister.
When pressed further about whether a meeting between her and Donald Tusk had still not taken place, she replied: - It hasn't. It's not as if I'm waiting. I'm working normally.
- I believe that within a coalition, we should talk. [...] A conversation requires two sides. From my side, there is this readiness, there is the conviction that this is good, right, and necessary, and that's all. So, I declare such a proposal, such readiness, with absolutely the best intentions - she indicated.
- I work with conviction, hard, conscientiously, together with ministers, for our government and for our coalition. These two things do not conflict, while remaining fully ready and willing to talk. We must talk, good always emerges from it - she argued.
