Tomczyk on Cryptocurrencies:

Freedom is not arbitrariness.

- Let us remember that there are many people who have been primarily deceived when it comes to cryptocurrencies, and I believe that in this matter there must be freedom, but freedom is not arbitrariness. This means we must also protect Polish clients who, for example, are investing in something that might turn out to be either a financial pyramid or some completely uncertain solution - stated Cezary Tomczyk in an interview with Marcin Fijołek on Polsat News’ “Graffiti”.

08:13

Tomczyk on the President's Decision:

De Facto Hits Libertarians.

- Cryptocurrencies are an absolutely new topic in the space that needs clear regulation, but regulation that is friendly to people. I believe it is a big mistake by President Nawrocki, because de facto it hits libertarians, people who are interested in these matters, and we need to protect our citizens - stated Cezary Tomczyk on "Graffiti" Polsat News.

08:16

Tomczyk on Nawrocki:

He's a Veto Man, Doing Everything to Throw a Spanner in the Works.

- We are talking about a specific project, but let's not fool ourselves. The truth is that President Nawrocki is a veto man today and a person who is doing everything to throw a spanner in the works. He vetoes laws that are not only widely acceptable, but most importantly, are just and necessary - stated Cezary Tomczyk in Polsat News' "Graffiti".

08:18

Mentzen:

No One Has a Problem with Banning Chains, It's About Pens

- This dispute is absurd, and this criticism of the President is absurd. This law shouldn't really be called a chain law because nobody has a problem with banning them, neither us nor the President. It's about pens; this law should be called a pen law. In the entire law, chains are dedicated one sentence, and the rest concerns pens. The requirements this law introduces are completely absurd. If a dog weighs more than 30 kilograms, you will have to buy it a pen costing several thousand zlotys with a minimum area of 20 square meters - Sławomir Mentzen said on "Gość Radia Zet".

08:19

"I Wouldn't Rule It Out": Tomczyk on Sejm Considering Veto

- I wouldn't rule out [the Sejm considering the veto of the so-called chain law], but that will be a decision for the leaders of the ruling coalition. However, I think we are dealing with a slightly larger problem. Because President Nawrocki vetoing almost every law probably does not reflect well on his presidency or his colleagues, who are involved or should be involved in the legislative process at the parliamentary level. By vetoing laws that are not only widely accepted today but also very much needed, he behaves as if he were someone who wishes ill upon Poland - stated Cezary Tomczyk on Polsat News' "Graffiti".

08:21

Horała:

PiS Shouldn't Cede the Center and the 'Normals' to the Opposition

- There is a programmatic discussion, or a discussion about political direction, within PiS. One stance is that the entire political scene has shifted to the right. Donald Tusk is moving to the right. We are losing votes to Grzegorz Braun or Konfederacja. Therefore, PiS should also move further right, more decisively, more radically – said Marcin Horała in "Rozmowa Piaseckiego" on TVN24.

- And the second stance – and I agree with this one – is that we shouldn't politely leave that space in the center to Donald Tusk and the so-called 'normals', who are the vast majority in Poland, to Donald Tusk – but rather, we should challenge Donald Tusk, point out the failures of his governance, and present our programmatic agenda that addresses the needs of ordinary people, who, after all, do not necessarily live their daily lives intensely with these ideological or political disputes – he continued.

08:22

Mentzen on Signing the Fur Farming Ban Bill:

A Decision I Criticized, But It's Not a Big Problem.

- I would not have signed this bill, but it is Karol Nawrocki's decision, which I criticized, but it's not a big problem - Sławomir Mentzen said on "Gość Radia Zet".

08:25

Mentzen:

Tusk Knows as Much About Cryptocurrencies as I Do About Ballet

- Donald Tusk and other Civic Platform politicians know as much about cryptocurrencies as I do about ballet. Radosław Sikorski wrote on Twitter that this law would lead to a situation where a bubble in Poland would burst due to the absence of this law, and people would lose money. As if the law had an impact on cryptocurrency exchange rates. These people have no idea what they are talking about - said Sławomir Mentzen on "Gość Radia Zet".

08:30

Mentzen on AFD Deputy Leader's Words: I am proud if someone in Germany considers Poland a threat to Germany

- I am proud of that, if someone in Germany considers Poland a threat to Germany - said Sławomir Mentzen on "Gość Radia Zet".

08:35

Horała on the Cancellation of Nawrocki's Meeting with Orbán:

The Only Right Decision.

- In my eyes, it was the only right decision at that moment, because I see no problem at all with meeting Viktor Orbán. He is a leader, even leaders of countries waging war against each other have met before, let alone a leader who is, after all, our ally within the European Union, within NATO, and also a politician with whom, I believe, many matters connect us - said Marcin Horała in "Rozmowa Piaseckiego" on TVN24.

- The President of France, the Chancellor of Germany, and so on, have met with Viktor Orbán. However, it couldn't have been done just a few days after Orbán's meeting with Putin, because in the language of diplomacy, that's a signal that we actually accept it, support it, and precisely this is the area of Viktor Orbán's policy with which I strongly disagree - he indicated.

- In my opinion, it couldn't have been done now, because it would have been a signal that Poland, as it were, is partially aligning with Orbán's pro-Russian policy, and it does not align and does not want to align. In a month, in two - please do. Not at this moment - he added.

08:36

Mentzen:

PiS and PO Pumped Up Braun

- Six months ago, PiS started pumping up Grzegorz Braun. It's interesting that both PiS and Civic Platform boosted Grzegorz Braun, and because of that Grzegorz Braun grew - said Sławomir Mentzen on "Gość Radia Zet".

08:42

Horała:

Braun and Tusk Complement Each Other Excellently and Serve Their Own Interests

- I wouldn't [ban Konfederacja Korony Polskiej], also because it would undoubtedly give them a few more percentage points in support. Grzegorz Braun would then establish "Konfederacja 2" by Grzegorz Braun, a fully legal party, which, in the aura of persecution by the Tusk government, would gain 15% – said Marcin Horała in the "Rozmowa Piaseckiego" program on TVN24.

In his opinion: - That's what this whole delegalization operation is about, by the way, because Grzegorz Braun and Donald Tusk complement each other excellently and serve their own interests perfectly.

- Grzegorz Braun can then walk in the glory and fame of being Tusk's most uncompromising opponent, and Donald Tusk can calmly govern for another term, because there are many voters who, faced with a choice between Mateusz Morawiecki and Donald Tusk, would say: Mateusz Morawiecki, but faced with a choice between Tusk and Braun, they would say: Donald Tusk – he stated.

08:47

Mentzen Warns of Poland Being Blamed for the Holocaust if it Pays WWII Reparations

- Donald Tusk announced that Poland will pay reparations to victims of World War II who are still alive. I understand this refers to Polish citizens. The problem is that a significant portion of these citizens, victims of World War II, currently reside in Israel and hold dual citizenship, Polish and Israeli. Just imagine what will happen in Israel when some compensation transfers for crimes committed during World War II arrive in Israel from Poland - said Sławomir Mentzen on "Gość Radia Zet".

- We will not convince the world, including Israel, that Poland is not the perpetrator of World War II if it pays reparations for it. In Israel, the public debate will immediately feature the argument: how can you claim to be innocent, that you are not responsible for the Holocaust, when you are paying reparations for the Holocaust? - Donald Tusk continued.

08:52

Mentzen:

Tusk Wants Braun to Be as Strong as Possible to Scare Children with Him

- Of course not [I wouldn't want Braun's party to be legalized]. This is what I've been saying, that it pays for Donald Tusk to boost Grzegorz Braun, because let's not hide it, these kinds of statements fuel Braun's popularity. Tusk wants Braun to be as strong as possible to scare children with him - said Sławomir Mentzen on "Gość Radia Zet".

09:02

Bosak on the Fur Farming Ban:

The Fight Isn't Over, This Process Must Be Reversed.

"We are critical of this decision, both of this law and of this decision; we are among those who voted against it and urged for a veto," said Krzysztof Bosak in an interview with Justyna Nowak on "Poranek Wnet," when asked about the president signing the bill concerning the ban on fur farming.

"However, we also understand the complexity of the situation, because in essence, this law on one hand contains a ban on fur farming, which in my opinion is unconstitutional [...] the farmers claim they were blackmailed by the government, or rather by the ruling coalition politicians, that either they agree to an 8-year transition period and compensation, or they will be destroyed in two years without compensation, and this happened based on EU regulations," he continued.

"The farmers agreed to an 8-year transition period, during which they don't have to close these farms at all. The next government can calmly change these regulations. They succumbed to the blackmail of this government, and I believe that this fight is not over; in my opinion, this process must be reversed," he went on to say.

09:05

Czarzasty Announces Vote on Overriding Presidential Veto:

Coalition Has Decided.

- I have made the following decision - today I will send for printing and to the committee the matter concerning the veto of these laws. The chain law will go to the extraordinary committee for animal protection, and I wanted to inform you that there is a coalition decision on this matter. This veto will be voted on because we consider the president's decision to be another absolutely incomprehensible decision - stated Włodzimierz Czarzasty at a press conference in the Sejm.

09:07

"Misunderstanding the Legislative Process." Czarzasty Responds to Accusations Regarding the Sejm's "Freezer"

- I have not yet made any decision regarding any presidential bill. Therefore, talking about a freezer, about any kind of blockade in my case, is a misunderstanding of the legislative process. But that's not a problem, everyone is learning, some faster, others slower. It really doesn't make any impression on me - stated Włodzimierz Czarzasty at a press conference in the Sejm.

09:13

Czarzasty Announces Letters to Bill Proposers:

Mobilizing Them to Take a Stand.

- Today I will send letters to all proposers, mobilizing them to take a definitive and immediate stand on this matter [to rectify errors in draft bills]. 25 bills have been withdrawn, 8 bills are in progress - stated Włodzimierz Czarzasty at a press conference in the Sejm.

09:16

Bosak skeptical about the cancellation of the Nawrocki-Orbán meeting:

Outside of Poland and possibly Hungary, it went completely unnoticed.

- This is not a matter of great significance, a bit inflated in Poland, because we seem to think that the Polish president has done something significant and thus plays some role on the international stage - said Krzysztof Bosak on Radio Wnet, when asked about the cancellation of President Nawrocki's meeting with the Hungarian Prime Minister.

- In my opinion, outside of Poland and possibly Hungary, it went completely unnoticed. In my opinion, Prime Minister Orbán probably met it with a shrug, while outside of Hungary, no one is interested in it at all - he continued.

- I personally believe it would have been better if President Karol Nawrocki had met with Prime Minister Orbán, despite his earlier meeting with Putin, and simply expressed himself somewhat critically about that meeting, and to some extent convinced Hungary to extricate itself from its energy dependence on Russia, and offered beneficial proposals from the Polish side on how we can help Hungary with this - he went on to say.

09:21

Czarzasty Establishes Center for Statutory Law Analysis

- I consider the term 'Marshal's veto' to be a fight against populism and the sowing of division among Poles by presenting laws, or potentially presenting laws, that have nothing to do with reality and realism. Very expensive ones that are known to be pointless to implement, and everyone knows it. But the question is - where does this knowledge come from that it's pointless? And here I will present another very important decision today - stated Włodzimierz Czarzasty at a press conference in the Sejm.

- The procedure for laws is as follows - when a bill enters the Sejm, before any decisions are made, including by the Marshal to refer it, assign it a number, or send it for Sejm debate or committee review, we currently have 2 opinions. The first is a preliminary legislative opinion, prepared by the Legislative Bureau, which states whether the law is compatible with Polish law and does not violate Polish law. The second is an opinion from the Bureau of Expertise and Regulatory Impact Assessment, concerning the compliance of the bill with EU law - he continued.

- As of today, I have established a new unit within the Bureau of Expertise and Regulatory Impact Assessment. This unit is called the Center for Statutory Law Analysis. There will be a third opinion. This opinion will concern the financial implications of introducing this law, along with the indication of its funding sources, an assessment of economic effects and the law's impact on the economy, as well as an assessment of social effects and the law's impact on social relations - added the Marshal of the Sejm.

09:23

Czarzasty Announces Changes to the Convention of Elders. Braun Excluded

- I will not be inviting Mr. Braun's party to the Convention of Elders, a party that, in my opinion, operates on the border of Russian agency and illegality, and therefore, having invoked Article 15 § 3, I will not be inviting any caucuses that were not elected two years ago. This consequently concerns Mr. Kukiz's caucus and Mr. Zandberg's caucus - stated Włodzimierz Czarzasty at a press conference in the Sejm.

09:26

Ziobro Before the State Tribunal? Czarzasty Announces Signature Collection

- The coalition yesterday made a decision to collect over 115 signatures from MPs of the coalition clubs. This decision will initiate the process of referring the case of Mr. Zbigniew Ziobro before the State Tribunal - stated Włodzimierz Czarzasty at a press conference in the Sejm.

09:26

Bosak on the Demand to Outlaw Konfederacja Korony Polskiej:

Any Honest Court Would Rule in Favor of Braun's Party.

"In my opinion, these polls giving Grzegorz Braun's party a chance to enter the Sejm will obviously be used by the ruling camp to open a new axis of polarization," Krzysztof Bosak stated on Radio Wnet, when asked about Marcin Kierwiński's words that Grzegorz Braun's party is "on the verge of being outlawed."

"They have one axis of polarization open with President Nawrocki, recently Tusk mumbled something about a threat from us, meaning Konfederacja, with PiS it's obvious they have an axis of polarization, and another axis of polarization could obviously be with Grzegorz Braun," he continued.

"Exploiting these, let's say, connections, which Grzegorz Braun quite consciously plays with in my opinion, people from abroad or suspected of espionage [...] this will be used by the government, in my opinion, it will also be used by Grzegorz Braun to make it a kind of vehicle, a bit of provocation, a bit of a game," he went on to say.

"Of course, a minister has no authority to outlaw parties, however, a motion can be filed, and then the case drags on for years in court. I am sure that any honest and just court would rule in favor of Grzegorz Braun's party, because the conditions for outlawing parties in Poland are set so narrowly that even the Communist Party of Poland courts have been unable to outlaw for 20 years," he added.

09:29

Czarzasty Asked by Journalist About Tusk's Words:

You should be proud at TV Republika…

- You should be proud at TV Republika that we have a Prime Minister who is capable of presenting this problem intelligently. The only problem is that this intelligent presentation has been made, and some editorial offices, including yours, have not understood it - stated Włodzimierz Czarzasty at a press conference in the Sejm.

09:33

Urgent Vote on Veto? Czarzasty Doesn't Rule It Out

- I don't see any problems with this veto being voted on urgently. Today I'm assigning a print number, referring it to the committee. The committee will convene and the committee will decide. If there's a report on this matter and a suitable motion, that motion will be voted on. If it's quick, we can vote on it during the session in December. If it's a bit slower, it will be voted on during the session in January - stated Włodzimierz Czarzasty at a press conference in the Sejm.

09:36

Czarzasty Announces Meeting of Coalition Leaders on Ziobro

- The procedure is quite simple. Today, a meeting of coalition club leaders will take place, they will set the rules, the schedule, because these are their decisions. First, a minimum of 115 signatures are needed. These 115 signatures are sent to the Marshal of the Sejm, the Marshal of the Sejm will immediately, because that's how I will do it, forward it to the relevant committee, and work will begin on this matter in that committee. It is a complex process, but it will happen - stated Włodzimierz Czarzasty at a press conference in the Sejm.

09:44

Internal War in PiS? Müller Responds

- No, it's not a war, it's a difference of interests sometimes, but primarily a programmatic difference regarding how we want to present our program in 2027 - said Piotr Müller in an interview with Jacek Prusinowski on Radio Plus's program "Sedno Sprawy" (The Essence of the Matter), when asked if what is happening in PiS is a war.

- Primarily, the issue of how to get out of this public finance spiral, for instance in 2027, is one thing. The second thing is how, for example, public administration should function in terms of, I don't know, automation, the use of artificial intelligence, or what healthcare should look like - he continued, when asked what is the core of the dispute between the factions.

- For instance, there are also differences regarding, for example, the reform of the justice system, so there are quite a few of these things - he went on to say.

- For it [PiS's program] to be good, all parts of Law and Justice must participate in this discussion, and I was surprised that some colleagues in our party tried to marginalize certain individuals in PiS, but that has been resolved. President Jarosław Kaczyński clearly stated that the head of the program council, meaning the person unifying all these topics, is Professor Piotr Gliński, and from my perspective, that closes the matter - he added.

09:55

Müller on PiS's Poll Results:

We Must Honestly Say This.

- We need to mobilize and fight for votes of support for Law and Justice. Because Tusk might want to build his second Third Way, let's call it that, and go into a coalition with it in 2027 and rule for another four years - said Piotr Müller on Radio Plus.

- I don't think so yet. Because if we knew, that trend would have been stopped - he continued, when asked if PiS knows how to stop trends in the polls that are dangerous for the party.

- We must honestly say this: a thorough, in-depth discussion should be held within our party on how to do this, because for now the effects are such that we have 7 percentage points less support than when we handed over power, meaning two years ago - he continued.

10:10

Sejm on the Presidential Veto: Kaczyński Reveals His Vote

- In this situation, I will not reject [the president's veto of the gag law]. Fortunately, the most important of these laws has been signed, although there were very strong pressures not to sign it. This concerns an amendment related to certain realities. Some provisions of this law are good, but impossible to implement - stated Jarosław Kaczyński in an interview with journalists in the Sejm.

- Sometimes you vote for something that is partially good - he continued.

12:07

PiS club's deputy chairman speaks decisively about Ziobro's flight:

This is obviously sinking us.

"We are losing due to internal factional wars, which are now clashing ever more fiercely," said Ryszard Terlecki in a conversation with journalists.

"This is obviously sinking us," he continued, when asked about Zbigniew Ziobro's flight.

"I would not recommend it, because of course they would arrest him, but the television audience largely thinks so, it seems to me," he went on, when pressed whether he would recommend Ziobro return to Poland.

12:12

Ziobro Before the State Tribunal? Kaczyński Comments and Calls it a Dead Institution

- The State Tribunal is essentially a dead institution and makes no sense. Besides, what has Minister Ziobro done to deserve the State Tribunal? Nothing. Such an affair [like the Justice Fund] is in the minds of PO people. I simply wrote a letter to warn against, let's say, the discrimination of PiS MPs - stated Jarosław Kaczyński in a conversation with journalists in the Sejm.

12:53

Kierwiński on the Opposition: Empathy for Animals Ends When Hard Politics Begins

- Logically, if you say A, you should also say B. If they voted for this law once, driven by empathy for animals, then they should uphold that vote now, but I heard that today, Member of Parliament Kaczyński said he doesn't know how he will vote, that he will rather want to uphold the President's veto. I must say it's a sad picture, empathy for animals ends when hard politics begins. This shows what kind of people we are dealing with. It's incredible that on such a matter, President Nawrocki decided to throw sand in the government's gears - said Marcin Kierwiński at a press conference in Radom.

13:04

Kierwiński:

What Braun is showing borders on treason to Poland's national interest

- I have no doubt that every political party in Poland should be guided by Poland's national interest. Today, Poland's national interest is to loudly say no to Russian imperialism, to what Putin is doing in Ukraine, but in reality, it is right on our border. If there are political circles in Poland that absolve Putin, if there are parties with such a pro-Putin lean, it is harmful to Poland, it threatens Polish security, it is contrary to Poland's national interest. In this context, what Mr. Braun is showing, in my opinion, is something that borders on treason to Poland's national interest, and the relevant threads. concerning what you are asking [delegalization], these are decisions for the judiciary in a broad sense, not decisions for politicians - said Marcin Kierwiński at a press conference in Radom

13:19

Morawiecki's New Spot on the Healthcare Crisis:

Cuts Will Reach Almost PLN 14.5 Billion.

- A crisis has been ongoing in healthcare for months. All media are writing about it. And the government? Instead of helping, it plans drastic cuts. They will take away PLN 900 million for better meals, PLN 682 million for district hospitals, PLN 3.36 billion for specialist consultations, PLN 279 million for cataract treatment, PLN 1.26 billion for MRI and CT scans, and PLN 8 billion from the Medical Fund. In total, the cuts will reach almost PLN 14.5 billion. This is taking away everything that we, as the PiS government, introduced - says the narrator in a new spot published on social media by Mateusz Morawiecki.

14:06

Nawrocki on Gas Supplies from the USA to European Countries:

I've Already Made Initial Arrangements with President Trump.

"With each of the presidents, I discussed the cooperation of our region's states in delivering gas from the United States through Poland. Poland can be a hub for our region, and I have already made initial arrangements with the President of the United States, Donald Trump," said President Karol Nawrocki in a statement to the media for the presidents of the Visegrád Group countries.

"Of course, we are aware that this must be a competitive offer," he continued.

14:13

Nawrocki on the Theory That the War Beyond the Eastern Border is Solely Between Russia and Ukraine:

It's Obviously a Delusion.

"The conviction that the war in Ukraine is solely a conflict between Russia and Ukraine, following the Russian Federation's attack on Ukraine – which I also want to emphasize – is obviously a delusion," stated President Karol Nawrocki in a statement to the media of the Visegrád Group presidents.

"Hybrid actions, attacks on critical infrastructure, increasingly brazen, carried out by Russian services in many European countries, including Poland, I won't cite statistical data, but I shared with my colleagues how the Russian Federation's attack on Ukraine or the hybrid war on Poland's borders, acts of sabotage, also affect the functioning of the Polish state," he continued.

14:21

Nawrocki at the V4 Summit:

We are supporters of being in the EU, but democracy means constructive criticism is possible.

- All our countries, and myself as the President of Poland, are of course supporters of being in the EU, but democracy means that one can engage in constructive criticism, dialogue, and discussion. This is what the Visegrad Group is for: so that we also have the courage and strength to tell our partners from Western Europe that issues of migration, climate do not suit us, or that the centralization of the EU is not within the scope of our vision for the future of Europe. This is not an anti-European narrative, but a narrative stemming from concern for our common endeavor, which is the EU - said President Karol Nawrocki in a statement to the media of the Visegrad Group state presidents.

15:12

NATO-Russia Council No Longer Exists, Sikorski Confirms

- The NATO ministerial meeting has concluded, as well as the NATO-Ukraine Council. As for formal decisions, please note the statement by the Secretary General that the NATO-Russia Council no longer exists. And that the so-called founding act of the NATO-Russia Council is no longer in force. This is something that successive Polish governments have been striving for, and now it has become a fact - stated Radosław Sikorski at a press conference.

15:15

Sikorski on Putin's Threats:

In a Sense, the Threats Against Us Are Useful

- Russia is, of course, in a much weaker position than it thinks. They may be lying to Putin, but in a sense, the fact that they are threatening us is useful because it focuses minds here on the matter of supporting Ukraine - stated Radosław Sikorski at a press conference.

16:45

Mentzen:

Kaczyński behaved like a boor, so I called him a boor. I don't plan to apologize

- I disagree that I am insulting Kaczyński. I am only commenting on his behavior. He behaved like a boor, so I called him a boor. I don't see any problem here. He didn't have to behave like that - said Sławomir Mentzen in an interview with Polish Radio 24.

Asked if he would apologize to the PiS leader, he replied: - Absolutely not. I don't plan any apologies. I have never exchanged a word with him in my life, nor have we ever shaken hands.

16:47

Zawisza comments on Czarzasty's decision:

We're laughing because it's very petty.

- We're laughing because it's very petty, because at the convention of seniors [...] the schedule of the session is simply discussed [...] it's a truly technical matter, there are absolutely no secrets there - said Marcelina Zawisza in "Conversation of the Day" on PR1, when asked about the exclusion of Razem from participating in the convention of seniors.

- Marshal Hołownia invited the parliamentary clubs, because he himself had the experience of being a party leader whose party had a parliamentary club and he simply knew how difficult it is for clubs without access to the convention of seniors to function in the Sejm - she continued.

- We do not treat this as [...] a significant obstacle, of course, because we will manage perfectly well without it - she added.

16:55

Sejm to Reject the Veto? Zawisza Skeptical About Coalition Concept

- Here, as I understand it, we will proceed in the Sejm to reject the presidential veto, but from what I've heard in the corridors from members of Law and Justice, they do not plan to support the rejection of the veto, so I think, unfortunately, it will be an unsuccessful attempt. However, of course, we are persuading and making great efforts to talk to everyone who truly has the welfare of animals in mind, in their hearts, and wanted this change - said Marcelina Zawisza on PR1, when asked about the president's veto concerning the so-called chain law.

17:00

Mentzen Rules Out Reaching an Agreement with Tusk or Kaczyński:

It Would Be Very Harmful.

- I have repeatedly said that I believe both Tusk and Kaczyński should retire as soon as possible. They should stop damaging the Polish state. So I don't feel a great need to reach an agreement with Kaczyński and Tusk - Sławomir Mentzen said in an interview with Polish Radio 24.

When it was pointed out that if he doesn't want to reach an agreement with either Tusk or Kaczyński, he won't govern, he replied: - Well, too bad. There is no obligation to govern. I believe that reaching an agreement with either Tusk or Kaczyński would be very harmful.

- Neither of them would want the state to function even in a way that is close to what I expect. Each of them has a long history of political partners whom they have destroyed. And I am not going into politics, into elections, to be destroyed, but to change something. I believe that nothing can be changed with them - he stated.

17:01

Zawisza Assesses Kaczyński's Party's Stance After Nawrocki's Veto:

The President Will Do What He Wants With PiS.

- To be completely honest, as best as I can and holding myself back as much as possible, what the Law and Justice party is doing right now is simply stupid, because this [chain] law could have come into effect - Marcelina Zawisza said on PR1.

- In reality, the president's veto could have been overridden, and we could have guaranteed animal safety right now. The situation where a new bill will have to be processed, I don't think it will be as simple as Marshal Czarzasty processing the presidential bill; instead, we will be waiting for another bill - she continued.

- I don't understand Jarosław Kaczyński's and Law and Justice's argument at all, and as I said, it seems simply stupid to me, because they already voted for this bill once - she went on to say.

- Now, simply making a U-turn solely because the president vetoed it, and now they have to change their entire narrative and their entire tune, shows that in reality, the president will do what he wants with PiS, and Law and Justice doesn't even have the courage to stand by their own previous decision. It shows their weakness - she added.

Mentzen Does Not Regret Splitting with Braun:

We Both Benefited.

- Of course, I don't regret [the political separation from Grzegorz Braun]. It was a very good decision, both for me and for Grzegorz Braun - said Sławomir Mentzen in an interview with Polskie Radio 24.

- Even before this separation, I said that if it were to happen, there's a good chance we would both benefit from it, because we then had completely different political tactics, different electorates, different demands, and slogans - he continued.

- He deterred part of my electorate, and I deterred part of his electorate, and together we harmed ourselves. Since we separated, our combined support has significantly increased - he noted.

Zawisza:

The President Should Take the Initiative; His Ministers Can Come to the Sejm and Speak

- I think that on the one hand, the President would very much like to be taken into account in the legislative process. And I believe that if we have any laws that are particularly important to the government, then it is good to proceed with the assumption that it is worth processing them in such a way that, in the final analysis, they are simply accepted by the President - Marcelina Zawisza said on PR1.

- On the other hand, I believe that the President himself should take some initiative, meaning his ministers can indeed come to the Sejm and speak during the proceedings of individual laws - she continued.

- I think this is really a situation where both sides, i.e., the government side could be more open to the President, but above all, the President could be more proactive when it comes to the Polish parliament, because it is the parliament that creates laws, it is the MPs who create laws - she went on to say.

Mentzen asked about veto rejection:

I’m glad Kaczyński has grown wiser.

- Of course, I will not vote to reject the veto, because I support it. However, I am very glad that Jarosław Kaczyński has grown wiser, because he voted for this chain law – said Sławomir Mentzen in an interview with Polish Radio 24.

We quoted the words of the PiS leader here.

Mentzen:

Of Course Ziobro Should Return to Poland

"Of course he should return [Zbigniew Ziobro to Poland]. Every Pole who has legal problems, who is of interest to the prosecutor's office, is obliged to stay in Poland and undergo that process. Ziobro should be no exception here. [...] There should be equality before the law, and he should prove his innocence, if he is innocent, before a Polish court" - said Sławomir Mentzen in an interview on Polskie Radio 24.

17:35

Mentzen:

Nawrocki is President of both Confederation and PiS

- Normal, as far as I can tell [I have a relationship with President Karol Nawrocki]. I see him sometimes. In October, I believe [was the last time] - Sławomir Mentzen said in an interview with Polish Radio 24.

- Karol Nawrocki's views are partly close to Confederation's, partly to PiS's. We agree on some matters, disagree on others. But I think we have a reasonably effective cooperation - he assessed.

- I think it's definitely too much to say [that he is the president of Confederation]. Karol Nawrocki, as far as I can tell, is the president of both Confederation and PiS - he stated.

Siemoniak:

I believe an issue like dogs not being on leashes can unite beyond divisions

- It will become clear in the chamber [whether there will be a majority to reject the veto]. I will certainly vote to reject this veto, and I think our entire club will do the same. However, there is a certain group that might change their minds – those who supported this law in the Sejm and will now vote against its implementation. So, we will see. I believe that an issue like dogs not being on leashes is capable of uniting people somewhat beyond divisions - said Tomasz Siemoniak in "Gość Wydarzeń" on Polsat News.

Siemoniak Suggests a Hidden Agenda Behind the Veto on Cryptocurrencies:

We Need to Clarify What Connections Existed and Where.

- This really looks very bad, because the cryptocurrency market is completely opaque and disordered. We are the last country in the European Union to not have such regulation, and criminal elements often use cryptocurrencies. Spies use them, saboteurs use them. Those in the special services also completely fail to understand this veto. We certainly need to clarify what connections existed and where, because some of these cryptocurrency companies touch upon certain circles. This needs to be clarified - said Tomasz Siemoniak in “Gość Wydarzeń” on Polsat News.

No Nawrocki-Orban Meeting. Head of the Chancellery Explains

- This meeting [of Karol Nawrocki] did not take place because Prime Minister Orban, just before his meeting with the President, decided to fly to Moscow this week to talk with Vladimir Putin. Hungary has its interests, and this concerns gas and oil, of course. This interest runs counter to Poland's interest - stated Zbigniew Bogucki on TVN24's "Fakty po faktach" (Facts After Facts).

19:44

Bogucki:

Ziobro Wouldn't Be in Hungary Today If We Had a Normal Justice System

- Minister Ziobro would not be in Hungary today if we had a normal justice system, if we didn't have a prosecutor general who wants to have his trusted judges - stated Zbigniew Bogucki on TVN24's "Fakty po faktach" (Facts After Facts).

Bodnar Sacked Due to Lack of Charges Against Ziobro? Suggests Head of the Chancellery of the President

- If these accusations, these pieces of evidence were supposed to be so obvious, then not so long ago, a few months ago, Prosecutor Korneluk was saying that there were no grounds to press charges against Minister Ziobro. So Bodnar was sacked… - stated Zbigniew Bogucki on TVN24's "Fakty po faktach" (Facts after Facts).

Siemoniak Rules Out Consulting Bills with the President:

Let Everyone Do Their Own Thing.

- Of course not [there will be no consultations of draft laws with the president] because there is a separation of powers; the president's representatives participate in the legislative process at the Sejm or Senate stage, while the Council of Ministers has its duties defined in the constitution, and the president has his duties. On this basis, I can say that when the president submits his initiative, he should also consult it beforehand with the Sejm or the Government. Let everyone do their own thing. Let's not lead to a situation where no one will be in their place within this entire constitutional framework - said Tomasz Siemoniak in "Gość Wydarzeń" on Polsat News.
