Zandberg:

We're at a point where political dispute is becoming more important than the normal functioning of institutions

- We are at a point where political dispute is starting to be more important than the normal functioning of institutions. I have a very serious problem with this, and frankly, I have it with both sides of this dispute, because I have the feeling that this bitterness has reached a level where it simply harms the functioning of state institutions - stated Adrian Zandberg on PR3.

07:31

Bogucki:

The President Decides Whether or Not to Appoint a Judge

- When it comes to judicial appointments, there is no dispute. Because the Constitution, statutes, rulings of administrative courts, regional courts, the Supreme Administrative Court, and the Constitutional Tribunal, when the head of the Tribunal was still Professor Rzepliński, are unambiguous. It is the exclusive prerogative of the president, and therefore only the president decides, each one in succession, whether or not to appoint someone to the position of judge. - said Zbigniew Bogucki in the "Morning Ring" of Super Express."

07:39

Bosak:

I Would Advise Judges Against Engaging in Politics

- I wouldn't speak of a war, let's speak of a dispute. The dispute has been ongoing for a long time; it seems that a significant portion of these judges were also not appointed by the previous president. So, here we have an element of continuity on at least one matter. It seems to me that if these judges were indeed involved in any positions that undermine the Polish constitutional order, then they should not be adjudicating in the name of the Republic of Poland - stated Krzysztof Bosak in "Rozmowa Piaseckiego" on TVN24.

- In my opinion, to keep the path open for reforming the judiciary, I would advise judges against engaging in politics. In my view, there is something profoundly mistaken about people who should serve the entire society and be apolitical, starting to try to replace us, the politicians. We truly have 460 members of parliament, 100 senators, a sufficiently broad cadre of MEPs, former MPs, former ministers; we have plenty of people to openly engage in politics, and judges should focus on building the authority of the judiciary - he continued.

07:46

Bosak Strongly Criticizes Tusk:

The Prime Minister Shouldn’t Gamble with State Security by Withholding Full Information from the President.

- As a result of the Prime Minister’s decision, relations between the special services and the President, contrary to constitutional and statutory regulations, have frozen to a certain extent. This means they have been reduced to a minimum, where the Prime Minister will dictate who can meet and what information can be conveyed. In this situation, the President draws conclusions from this. He says – if there is to be no cooperation, then there is none, and he is waiting for it to be resumed – stated Krzysztof Bosak in the program “Rozmowa Piaseckiego” on TVN24.

- The conflict is between the Prime Minister and the President. In my opinion, the essence of the matter is that the Prime Minister should not gamble with state security by withholding full information from the President regarding everything – he continued.

- That information is being dispensed in a very narrow stream, completely disproportionate to the previous standard of cooperation between intelligence services and the President, this is unofficial knowledge which, in my opinion, has been occurring since the change of this administration – emphasized the Deputy Marshal of the Sejm.

07:51

Bosak on Tusk:

He Met a Much Tougher Opponent, on Whom He Might Break His Teeth.

- In my opinion, we are dealing with a larger process here, and unfortunately, in my assessment, it strikingly resembles the way Prime Minister Tusk previously treated President Lech Kaczyński. And in my opinion, the problem Prime Minister Tusk has is that this time he has met a much tougher opponent, on whom he might break his teeth, and the old tricks are not working in the same way. In my opinion, this is something that eludes Prime Minister Tusk - stated Krzysztof Bosak in the "Piasecki Conversation" on TVN24.

07:52

Bogucki Accuses Tusk of Attacking Nawrocki, Regardless of Judicial Appointments

- It sounds utterly unserious. Prime Minister Tusk is a nihilist when it comes to political attacks. He attacks President Nawrocki on practically every occasion, because when the President nominated judges, not long ago, about 60 judges were appointed by the President, then there was a statement from the Chancellery of the Prime Minister that this was deepening chaos. Now, when the President refuses to appoint them, we have Prime Minister Tusk's tweet saying there should be nothing, let the Prime Minister decide - said Zbigniew Bogucki in "Poranny Ring" on Super Express.

- Let him not stand with one foot in each camp, let him finally state whether the President should make appointments or not. Of course, this will not be a binding opinion for the President, but for God's sake, let us have some consistency - Bogucki continued.

07:57

Bosak:

We Too Often Use Very Strong Terms for Each Other

- I think every leader chooses for themselves what terms and what language they use. I would prefer not to comment on the negative terms used in our public sphere. Because decidedly too many of them are directed at us as well - stated Krzysztof Bosak in "Rozmowa Piaseckiego" on TVN24.

- I don't see my role as publicly lecturing my colleagues on what terms to choose. I believe that in some situations, unfortunately, their sharp words are justified. I also believe it would be good if everyone toned down their language. This also applies to PiS politicians, but also to other political options, and I believe we too often use very strong terms for each other - he emphasized.

07:58

Błaszczak:

We are dealing with the collapse of the justice system. It doesn't exist.

- We are dealing with the collapse of the justice system. It doesn't exist; it has been formatted in such a way to carry out political processes, meaning communism has returned - stated Mariusz Błaszczak in an interview with Marcin Fijołek on Polsat News' 'Graffiti'.

07:59

Bogucki:

Minister Żurek is Treading the Path of Political Infantilism

- Minister Żurek, in the face of a lack of successes grounded in law and the constitution, and looking up to Prime Minister Tusk, who enjoys recording various kinds of videos, is treading the path of political infantilism - said Zbigniew Bogucki in "Poranny Ring" on Super Express.

08:06

Błaszczak Comments on Allegations Against Ziobro:

One Great Madness.

- The allegations against me and against Minister Ziobro are absurd. The claim that he misappropriated some money – that money went to fire departments, to rural women's circles - Mariusz Błaszczak said on Polsat News.

- It's not there, because if there were a mention of where the money went, specifically to these organizations, if these fire brigades appeared, then it would turn out that fire department vehicles would have to be confiscated. It's one great madness - he continued, after the host pointed out that the motion made no mention of fire departments or rural women's circles.

08:11

Błaszczak Responds to Government Spokesperson's Words:

Szłapka Doesn't Know What He's Talking About.

"Szłapka doesn't know what he's talking about. Perhaps he should repay the debts that Nowoczesna incurred, for example, to Polsat. Nowoczesna was dissolved, he ran away from debts, and he presents such nonsense here," said Mariusz Błaszczak on Polsat News, when asked about Adam Szłapka's words concerning a " attempted usurpation of powers" by President Nawrocki in the context of refusing to sign judicial appointments.

"Mr. President Nawrocki adheres to the law; he also warned judges on August 6th of this year not to question the statute of their colleagues," he continued.

08:15

Bogucki on Mentzen: There is time to reconsider certain moves. Is an aggressive policy towards PiS beneficial?

- Returning to MP Mentzen, there is always time to reconsider certain moves. Is this rather aggressive policy towards the Law and Justice party beneficial? I think it can be handled significantly better, because it is in the interest of the Polish state, it is in the interest of Poland, for conservative and right-wing circles to speak very similarly with one voice on fundamental issues. - said Zbigniew Bogucki in the "Morning Ring" program on Super Express.

08:16

Hołownia Resigns as Sejm Marshal. Błaszczak: I am Disappointed

- I am disappointed because I thought that after this disastrous beginning, when Szymon Hołownia, the Marshal of the Sejm, stood up to the oligarchs ruling Poland and refused to comply with the coup d'état they expected from him, I thought he would continue on that path - Mariusz Błaszczak said on Polsat News.

- He is burnt out among celebrities, burnt out among the establishment; even if he offers self-criticism, they won't accept him back into those ranks - he continued.

- It is evident he lacks the strength and will to fight, and unfortunately, after 26 years, a communist will become the Marshal of the Sejm. This is a very sad picture - he continued.

08:19

Zandberg on Matysiak:

We Have Realisticized the Formal Status of the MP.

- Political parties operate on a very simple principle, meaning that decisions are made democratically and then implemented. For quite some time, the MP has been acting rather as an unaffiliated member in her decisions and actions, without consultation or consideration. We have simply closed this and realisticized the formal status of the MP - stated Adrian Zandberg in PR3.

08:20

"The Matter is Very Simple": Zandberg on Razem as an Alternative to PO-PiS

- The matter is very simple. Razem is an alternative to PO-PiS, to both PO and PiS. In the next term, we will have a parliamentary club, upon which, I hope, the majority in the Polish Sejm will depend, and that is our goal - stated Adrian Zandberg in PR3.

08:21

Kierwiński Responds to Ziobro:

The Coward Has Finally Spoken.

- The coward has finally spoken, from afar. From afar, he tries to show how tough he is, yet we all know he is a complete coward, a completely irresponsible, and unreliable person - said Marcin Kierwiński on TOK FM's Morning program, when asked by Karolina Lewicka about Zbigniew Ziobro's words from yesterday's interview.

We quoted them here.

08:21

Błaszczak Critiques Mentzen: 'If Someone Uses Such Vocabulary, They Truly Have Deficiencies, Don't They?'

- These attacks are one-sided - Mariusz Błaszczak said on Polsat News, when asked about the "festival of mutual maliciousness" involving "boors" and "liars" between Jarosław Kaczyński and Sławomir Mentzen.

- If someone uses such vocabulary, they truly have deficiencies, don't they? Deficiencies concerning upbringing, a lack of upbringing. How does this person behave? - he continued, when asked about Kaczyński's words that people like Mentzen shouldn't be in politics and have certain shortcomings.

- These are attacks from Konfederacja, specifically. I believe they stem from this very fact, from this very fact, that Konfederacja still sees an enemy in Law and Justice, not in Donald Tusk - he continued speaking.

08:27

Zandberg Advocates for Constitutional Reset

- If we want this dispute to be concluded, then the path to resolving this dispute is a constitutional reset - stated Adrian Zandberg on PR3.

08:30

Did Services Hinder Private Companies' Cooperation on Defense Investments? Błaszczak: I Don't Know the Details of What Morawiecki is Talking About

- Everything needs to be balanced - Mariusz Błaszczak said on Polsat News, when asked about Mateusz Morawiecki's words in the podcast "Układ otwarty" (Open Arrangement) that special services, during the PiS government's tenure, interfered in a paralyzing manner, preventing private companies from cooperating on defense investment ventures.

- The Polish defense industry is still under construction, under reconstruction; at least it was during the times of Law and Justice, now it's stagnation because those managing the Polish industry are not making decisions. Why aren't they making decisions? Because soon the special services, Prosecutor Żurek, and neo-prosecutors will pounce on them - he continued.

- No, quite the opposite. During the Law and Justice government, at least the defense industry [...] was rebuilt, the potential of the defense industry was rebuilt - he went on, responding to the statement "exactly like the PiS government era described by Mateusz Morawiecki."

- I cooperated with the company WB Electronics, for example, orders concerning drones were directed to WB Electronics. The order concerning an anti-drone system was also directed to the Gdynia-based company - he added, when pressed about Morawiecki's thesis that private companies were being blocked.

- I don't know the details of what Morawiecki is talking about - he stated, when asked if Morawiecki was wrong.

08:31

Kierwiński on Ziobro:

History Knows Many Such Pseudo-Bravados.

- I have no doubt that sooner or later, Mr. Ziobro will stand before the Polish judiciary and answer for all the crimes he is accused of. [...] History knows many such pseudo-bravados as Ziobro. They were always tough-mouthed, but in the end, they were held accountable - said Marcin Kierwiński on TOK FM's Morning Show.

08:32

Zandberg on the Premature Arrest Warrant Request:

The Government Walked Into Ziobro’s Trap, By Its Own Design.

- The government has walked into Ziobro’s trap, by its own design. In this matter, in my opinion, they should have simply voted to lift his immunity and summoned Mr. Ziobro before the prosecutor. And only then, if Mr. Ziobro had stated that he would not appear before the prosecutor, that he would not cooperate with public institutions in clarifying this matter, only then would it be time for an arrest warrant request. However, with this premature arrest warrant request, Mr. Ziobro has essentially received a gift from the government – stated Adrian Zandberg on PR3.

08:34

Kierwiński Confident Ziobro Will Face Polish Justice:

A Few More Months.

- A few more months - because I assume Orbán will lose power. But frankly, in this matter, everything is clear. I understand that Messrs. [Ziobro and Romanowski] will flee from Polish justice. I'm not surprised - after all, they fear multi-year sentences. However, I am strangely calm that sooner or later they will be brought to Poland and sooner or later they will answer for their crimes - said Marcin Kierwiński in the TOK FM Morning Show.

08:47

Morawiecki on 800,000 Unemployed:

We Built Jobs, They're Losing Them.

- Unemployment is rising again – and this is the second month in a row. We already have another 103,000 more unemployed people, and the total number of unemployed people is now over 800,000. These are real human tragedies, said Mateusz Morawiecki in a recording published on social media.

- Why are families running out of savings? Why are there fewer and fewer jobs? Because instead of awarding tenders to Polish entrepreneurs, the government constructs the criteria in such a way that these Polish funds end up with foreign suppliers, he stated.

- But it can be different. We can take care of companies so that they create new jobs, attract new investors. We can create special zones for new Polish factories to locate there and for new, well-paid jobs to be created, the former prime minister continued.

- This is the fundamental difference between them and the economic policy that was pursued by my government. We built jobs, they're losing them, he concluded.

09:04

Kierwiński:

Mentzen is Not Above the Law, Police Will Initiate Appropriate Procedures

- You are talking about MP Mentzen - he is also not a sacred cow, he is not above Polish law, and the police will also initiate appropriate procedures in this regard [regarding what happened at the Independence March]. Of course, he is protected by immunity, and for him to be punished, this immunity must be lifted. However, the police will carry out their actions - said Marcin Kierwiński in TOK FM Morning.

10:28

Tusk Criticizes President Again:

It's a grim joke that at their head...

- The fact that at the march, parties of MPs Mentzen, Wipler, Braun, and Fritz were sending me to Berlin, was even funny. Less funny is that for those marching, the enemies were the West, the European Union, and Ukraine, not Russia. And it's a grim joke that the President of the Republic of Poland was walking at their head - wrote Prime Minister Donald Tusk on social media.

10:39

"Violation of the Polish Constitution'. Żurek on the President's Decision

- There is no automatism here. That is to say, if the president refused someone a nomination, there is no automatism for returning from delegation to a lower-level unit. This is a group of judges who aspired to the court of appeal and the district court. So, paradoxically, one could say that by refusing nominations, the president did not increase the number of so-called neo-judges, because these were all individuals who had gone through the competition process before the neo-KRS, – stated Waldemar Żurek at a press briefing in Poznań.

- This is a completely unconstitutional and extra-statutory premise. I can state with full responsibility that this type of approach to the nomination process is a violation of the Polish Constitution. Two constitutional bodies, the KRS and the president, must cooperate with each other, but there is nothing in this system that the president wants to push through in some way, that he alone has the decisive voice on who will become a judge in Poland, – the Minister of Justice continued.

10:42

Nawrocki as the Sun King? According to Żurek

- I can say that applying an idea once held by the Sun King, who said 'the state, it is I,' is inadmissible within the Polish legal system. Let's imagine that soon the President will say – and judges ruling in Swiss franc mortgage cases, by applying rulings of the Court of Justice of the European Union, will not receive nominations for 5 years because I will then be President – stated Waldemar Żurek at a press briefing in Poznań.

11:20

The President Responds to Żurek:

It is very sad that the Minister of Justice does not know the Constitution.

- It is very sad that the Minister of Justice, Waldemar Żurek, does not know the Constitution, which clearly defines the competencies of the President of the Republic of Poland regarding judicial appointments. It is doubly sad that the Minister of Justice does not know the Constitutional Tribunal's ruling from 2012. I understand that in this legal acrobatics of his, Minister Żurek is trying to draw attention to the lack of justification - stated President Karol Nawrocki at a press conference with the President of Switzerland.

- Such justification is not necessary. The justification is formal; the justification is that all judges nominated by the President of the Republic of Poland are judges of the Republic of Poland and should be concerned with issuing rulings and verdicts, not turning courtrooms into parliamentary chambers - the President of the Republic of Poland continued.

11:23

The President on Żurek:

I have the impression he's slowly starting to eat his own tail in this balancing act.

- This is a constitutional matter and relates to the president's prerogatives, and the Minister of Justice should respect the Polish Constitution and the rulings of the Constitutional Tribunal. Just as I can, I and my predecessors, all presidents of the Republic of Poland could nominate judges of the Republic of Poland and can refuse such nominations, in accordance with Polish law and the Polish Constitution. I wish Mr. Minister Żurek a pleasant exercise and legal acrobatics, because I have the impression that he is already slowly starting to eat his own tail in this balancing act - stated President Karol Nawrocki at a press conference with the President of Switzerland.

12:10

Siemoniak's response to Republika's question about Żurek's contacts with Rubcow:

This is complete nonsense.

- This is complete nonsense. Suggesting any contact between Minister Żurek and the person you are asking about, a person who was arrested in Poland in 2022 and was subsequently the subject of an exchange between the United States and Russia. To the best of anyone's knowledge, and it is known that individuals in the highest positions, such as the Minister of Justice, undergo comprehensive vetting, there is no trace of Minister Żurek's contact with such a person - said Tomasz Siemoniak at a press conference at the ABW delegation in Lublin.

12:24

Siemoniak Links President's Refusal to Appoint Judges with Withholding of Officer Nominations

- I have no doubt that the mess in the judiciary is the fault of PiS, of all the actions that have been taken over the years, they have led to this chaos, and it would be good for the President to want to cooperate, to end this chaos, because it simply hits and will increasingly hit citizens. However, I see yesterday's decision in the context of the earlier decision that the President did not sign the nominations for the first officer rank in the Internal Security Agency and the Military Counterintelligence Service - said Tomasz Siemoniak at a press conference at the ABW delegation in Lublin.

- Today, we would probably also be presenting nominations for the first officer rank at this ceremony. This is not happening, this is detrimental to the state, this is using young officers who have absolutely nothing to do with politics, for some political game. Very bad, and the constitution expects cooperation between state organs in very different matters - Tomasz Siemoniak continued.

12:32

Siemoniak:

Marshal Hołownia has brought a democratic spirit

- It has obviously changed for the better, after 8 years of such a Sejm in which I, as a Member of Parliament, felt absolutely redundant and poorly treated. Night voting, lectures, cancellation of debates, inability to ask questions, that was the reality of the Sejm for 8 years. Marshal Szymon Hołownia has brought a democratic spirit, he has also brought a vigor associated with his personality. I think everyone appreciated it very much. I think everyone appreciated it very much. Today, on my way here, I saw a survey on how he is rated as the Marshal of the Sejm; positive ratings prevail, so I believe these were two very good years that showed the strength of parliamentarism - said Tomasz Siemoniak at a press conference at the ABW delegation in Lublin.

13:23

Woś Poses Questions to Żurek:

Let Him Publicly Confirm or Deny.

- On November 9th, a video appeared on social media featuring Minister Waldemar Żurek, then a judge, in the leading role, where he states, quite directly, in an interview from May 2013 that he received a call from an important Spanish journalist - said Michał Woś at a press conference.

- When journalists asked the Minister of Justice, just yesterday, about this important Spanish journalist, about revealing his name, it turned out that we saw Żurek shaking like jelly, agitated, nervous [...] even threatening TV Republika or wPolsce24 journalists with lawsuits - he continued.

- If the Minister of Justice behaves this way, it raises very serious questions [...] during yesterday's conference, a firm "no" was not given. What did Mr. Żurek say? "If there is evidence, show it," "if I had contact with Rubcov, I will address it," "show what you know, and I will say something about it," any lawyer can see that there's something to it - he went on to say.

- Today we want to publicly pose [...] several questions [...]. Specific questions for Waldemar Żurek. Let him answer whether he ever contacted Rubcov [...] or not. [...] Let Waldemar Żurek publicly confirm or deny whether this well-known, important Spanish journalist who contacted him in 2016 was Rubcov, or someone else, and if someone else, let him provide specific names - he added.

13:32

Bocheński Praises PiS's Success in EP Regarding the Green Deal

Tobiasz Bocheński posted on the X platform about the votes on the Green Deal, in which he praised the successful formation of a right-wing coalition against the Green Deal's solutions.

13:42

Hołownia signed his resignation:

Some had a problem with me allowing the opposition to speak.

- I have just signed, in line with the coalition agreement, my resignation from the office of Marshal of the Sejm. Today is November 13th, exactly 2 years since the Sejm entrusted me with this function - stated Szymon Hołownia at a press conference.

- Yes, some had a problem with me allowing the opposition to speak, and I am proud of that, because I believe the opposition should have a voice in the chamber where someone else holds the majority - he continued.

14:00

Hołownia on His Resignation Date:

Poland Must Have a Speaker of the Sejm.

- Poland must have a president, Poland must have a Speaker of the Sejm, a prime minister; the bodies governing the state must exist. That is why my declaration, my resignation, takes effect on November 18, Tuesday at 8 AM - stated Szymon Hołownia at a press conference.

14:07

Deputy Prime Minister for Poland 2050? Hołownia Reveals

- We are fulfilling our commitments, and the Prime Minister will also fulfill his commitments. I have no doubts about this. Polska 2050 will have its Deputy Prime Minister in the near future. Please don't worry about it anymore, it's a matter between myself and the Prime Minister that has been discussed many times - stated Szymon Hołownia at a press conference.

14:08

Hołownia on His New Political Position:

I Will Gladly Take on This Role.

- If the MPs nominate me [for the position of Deputy Marshal of the Sejm], I will gladly take on this role and will do everything I can to be a good Deputy Marshal, drawing on the experience of the Marshal of the Sejm - stated Szymon Hołownia at a press conference.

14:31

Morawiecki Releases Video on Migration Pact:

The European Commission Hasn't Exempted Us From Anything.

- Donald Tusk writes that Poland is exempted from the obligations of the migration pact. Of course, that is one big lie. The European Commission has not exempted us from anything. Poland can only submit a request for exemption from the solidarity pool, and the decision will be made by the Council of the European Union. The same one that imposes its dictates on us – says the narrator in a video published on X by Mateusz Morawiecki.

- Even if they approve it, it will be discretionary. Today they grant it, tomorrow they will order us to pay or accept migrants. The lack of a permanent opt-out is just a perfidious mechanism of political blackmail. It's time to abolish this absurdity – he continues.

14:38

Confederation Announces Bill to Legalize Flare Use

- We have learned that there are plans to lift the immunity of Sławomir Mentzen. For what? For igniting a flare during the Independence March. To be honest, we have been organizing this march for 15 years, this will be the 16th time. Flares have been ignited at every single one, and I don't recall anyone getting harmed as a result - said Witold Tumanowicz at a press conference.

- This is absurd, especially considering we have massive vacancies in the police force, and there are truly many different matters the police could be attending to, yet Minister Kierwiński is forcing them to deal with trivialities - the Confederation MP continued.

- We, as the Confederation, will certainly also engage in the legislative process in such a way as to bring about the legalization of flares at demonstrations, provided they do not endanger the health and lives of others, and I hope such a bill will be passed. Especially since politicians from various sides of the political spectrum use flares at demonstrations, which makes me understand even less why we are stuck in this absurd situation where flares are illegal - Witold Tumanowicz continued.

15:38

Motion for Pre-trial Detention of Ziobro. Prosecutor's Spokesperson Details

- Today, the prosecutor filed a motion with the court for the pre-trial detention of the suspect Zbigniew Z. This is necessary to ensure the proper further course of this investigation - said the spokesperson for the National Prosecutor's Office, Przemysław Nowak, at a press conference.

- The prosecutor applied to the court today for the application of pre-trial detention for a period of three months from the date of arrest - he continued.

- From the obtained documentation, it appears that Zbigniew Z. does not have a permanent place of residence in Poland; this is also consistent with the defense counsel's statement. In itself, this circumstance could constitute grounds for a motion for pre-trial detention - he went on to say.

- However, above all, in this case, according to the prosecutor, [...] there is a well-founded fear that the suspect Zbigniew Z. will not voluntarily appear before the Polish prosecutor to be charged and potentially for further proceedings that the prosecutor deems necessary - he added.

15:44

PiS Suggests Justice Minister's Ties to Russian Agent

Law and Justice (PiS) has released a spot attacking the Minister of Justice, Waldemar Żurek, suggesting his potential contacts with Paweł Rubcov, who was extradited to Russia in 2024 as part of an agent exchange.

- Privet, meaning hello Waldemar, what's going on with you all - the narrator begins in the PiS spot.

- Did Waldemar Żurek maintain contact with Putin's agent Rubcov, also known as Pablo Gonzales? The current Minister of Justice himself admitted that in 2016, an important Spanish journalist called him - the narrator continues.

- I simply received a call from Spain from one of the important journalists precisely when this act appeared, asking what was happening - says Waldemar Żurek in the attached interview fragment.

- It so happens that Rubcov, who posed as a Spanish journalist, was interested in the reform of the judiciary during that period. Is it normal for a Minister of Justice to have had close contacts with a Russian agent, who was greeted by Vladimir Putin at the airport? What else is Waldemar Żurek hiding? - the narrator continues.

15:55

Prosecutor's Spokesperson on Ziobro and what will happen after his detention:

There is no threat to life or health.

"I would like to emphasize very clearly that the prosecutor will not continue to request temporary arrest or will not continue detention, the application of this measure, if any evidence indicates that his [Zbigniew Ziobro's] health does not allow for it" - said the spokesperson for the National Prosecutor's Office, Przemysław Nowak, at a press conference.

"If there is a serious danger to his health or life, the prosecutor will immediately release him from detention, will abandon temporary arrest. However, this must stem from the evidence, not, for example, from the media statements of the suspect himself" - he continued.

"So far, the evidence, based on the opinion we have, which naturally requires supplementation through direct examination of the suspect, which we have not had the opportunity to do, indicates that his condition is good and he can participate in procedural activities" - he went on to say.

"In the situation where he is detained, the first step will be to order him to be examined by a relevant doctor. If this doctor determines that he cannot be detained or determines that he cannot be isolated, he will be immediately released. So, there is really no threat to his life or health here" - he added.

16:09

Ziobro's Interrogation Abroad? Prosecutor's Spokesperson Gives a Firm Answer

- No, no, absolutely not under consideration - said the National Prosecutor's Office spokesperson, Przemysław Nowak, at a press conference, when asked whether the prosecution was considering the possibility of Zbigniew Ziobro being interrogated outside Poland.

- There are absolutely no grounds for this, and this action could not be carried out correctly. Even if we had the best intentions, it would simply be impossible, because we would have to translate our charges into Hungarian, and this Hungarian translation would be read by the prosecutor to the suspect with the help of an interpreter into Polish, and the Hungarian prosecutor would not know our procedure, nor this case - he continued.

- This would not be a correctly conducted action, and besides, it would only be a one-time realization of this action, perhaps we want to carry out more such actions - he added.

16:28

Żurek Appeals to the President:

Please Don't Do This Again.

- Yesterday, the President announced that he refused to nominate 46 candidates for judges to the appellate and district courts. All these individuals passed through the so-called neo-KRS, so one could say that from the perspective of those defending the rule of law, it was a good decision because it does not increase the group of so-called neo-judges - said Waldemar Żurek in a recording published on X.

- But what turned out later, as the President himself said, is that for 5 years he will not nominate those who listen to the whispers of the Minister of Justice. An analysis of this group indicates that these were individuals who signed various petitions to the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe, or petitions to the Polish government to implement the rulings of the Court of Justice of the European Union - he continued.

- This justification is completely unlawful and contradicts the Constitution. The President cannot act this way. He has the prerogative of nomination, but he must operate within the Constitution. The KRS submits candidacies, and he should nominate these individuals; otherwise, he is usurping the authority for such decisions, and such decisions are unlawful. Therefore, we appeal: please do not do this again - he continued speaking.

16:51

Przydacz Responds to Tusk:

When it was time to deter and restrain Russia - You were cozying up to it.

"When it was time to deter and restrain Russia - You were cozying up to it. When it was time to strengthen the armed forces, you populistly liquidated units and reduced the army's size. When sanctions needed to be imposed on Russia, your people signed long-term contracts with Gazprom." - wrote Marcin Przydacz on X, referring to a post by Prime Minister Donald Tusk.

"And your political patron sent Putin BILLIONS of euros for gas. From these funds, he finances his war against all of us today. This was not a grim joke. This was the reality of your government," he continued.

The Incantations of 'Populists' and 'Eurosceptics' No Longer Matter'. Bosak Describes a Precedent in the European Parliament

"An important precedent in the European Parliament: for the first time, a majority composed of the centre-right and the alternative right has outvoted the centre-left and the left on two elements of the Green Deal!" - wrote Krzysztof Bosak on X.

"This means the collapse of the 'cordon sanitaire' around the authentic right and the weakening of the cartel of forces that has hitherto jointly steered the EU, against the interests of Europeans. The field for democratic play in the EU is widening, and the incantations of 'populists' and 'eurosceptics' no longer matter." - he continued.

"It is worth emphasizing why this became possible: solely because the increasingly compromised forces of the old centre-right have lost popularity and have begun to yield to the will of European nations, who are gaining new political representation. The old centre-right has already lost its leading position on the right in Germany, France, and Italy, and this process is underway in other countries." - he noted in his post.

"The formation of a majority in the European Parliament with parties of the new right is a sign of capitulation to this process and an expression of the awareness that in an alliance with the left and progressive liberals, the old centre-right is sinking." - he concluded.

Mentzen Summarizes the Time When Hołownia Served as Marshal of the Sejm:

Members of Previous Terms Could Envy Us.

"I consider Szymon Hołownia a hopeless politician and a tragic negotiator. He completely failed to leverage his 2023 election result, allowed himself to be reduced to the role of a rotational marshal, and did not secure a Deputy Prime Minister position for his party in the agreement." - Sławomir Mentzen wrote on X.

"Over these two years, he squandered all his political capital, became a pawn of Tusk, and finally conducted a pointless presidential campaign in which he unfairly attacked me." - he continued.

"Despite this critical assessment, I consider Hołownia a very good Marshal of the Sejm. As the opposition, I felt treated fairly. He did not block our bills and ensured we had the right to speak. He conducted votes efficiently, maintained order, and separated the quarreling MPs from PiS and PO. Furthermore, at the end, he refused to unleash chaos and smoothly facilitated the swearing-in of President Nawrocki." - he noted in his post.

"Members of previous terms could envy us for Hołownia's marshaling. Thank you for these two years, Mr. Marshal!" - he concluded.

These Are the Government's Only European "Successes". Kaczyński Writes About Stricter Climate Goals and "Accelerated Economic Degradation"

"This is not a transformation, it's a revolution! Company bankruptcies, mass layoffs, and more taxes. The EU is accelerating the degradation of the economy." - Jarosław Kaczyński wrote on X.

"Today, the European Parliament, including Tusk's international brigade, voted to tighten climate targets for 2040 and reduce emissions by 90%! This is exactly what Minister Zielińska lobbied for in the EU in January 2024. And these are the only European 'successes' of this government." - he continued in the post.

Szłapka on Ziobro: Sooner or Later He Will Face Justice

- There is certainty here. [Ziobro] Sooner or later he will face justice. He is, of course, afraid, he obviously feels guilty, that's why he is running away. After all, he was the one who said the honest have nothing to fear, and now he is afraid. The conclusion is clear - said Adam Szłapka in "Tak Jest" on TVN24.

18:11

Szłapka on Ziobro: An Exceptionally Insolent and Cowardly Type

- An exceptionally insolent and cowardly type. Poles despise cowardice, and the internet has shown this very clearly. 96% of comments online regarding Zbigniew Ziobro were critical of Zbigniew Ziobro, and I think Law and Justice realizes how devastating the Ziobro affair is for Law and Justice - said Adam Szłapka in "Tak Jest" on TVN24.

18:18

Szłapka:

The Prime Minister Announces the Decision on Who is Deputy Prime Minister

- This is a decision about who is the Deputy Prime Minister, when he will be, and what his scope of responsibilities will be. This is not a decision announced by the government spokesperson, but by the Prime Minister himself - said Adam Szłapka in "Tak Jest" on TVN24.

18:30

Szłapka:

The State Will Not Collapse Due to the President's Destructive Actions

- The state will of course not collapse due to the president's destructive actions; it will continue to function. Institutions are operating, although due to the president's stance, the rank of diplomatic missions has been lowered in some places; there are no embassies, but there are heads of missions, and they are functioning – said Adam Szłapka on "Tak Jest" on TVN24.

Government Spokesperson Accuses President of Acting Against Poland's Interest

- Of course, from the perspective of Polish diplomacy and Poland's raison d'état, Poland's interest, it would be better if the president were to fulfill his constitutional obligations and cooperate with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, because the constitution imposes such a duty on him. The state will not collapse, it will function, one could say the president is acting against Poland's interest - said Adam Szłapka in "Tak Jest" on TVN24.

Poland 2050 MP Praises Presidential Bill

Rafał Komarewicz, a Member of Parliament for Poland 2050, wrote on the X portal:
"💡 It seems that the President of the Republic's draft law lowering energy prices is finally a step in the right direction!
For years, the industry has spoken about the need for changes: a reduction in VAT and fees, and in particular the distribution fee. This would be real relief for people and companies ⚡️

But... why didn't both governments, the previous and the current one, do it themselves? 🤔
It's time to end the absurdly high energy costs in Poland!

👉 Several doubts remain, including:
• will the #ECB agree to finance the capacity fee from the ETS
• how will the government cover the new deficit

I am counting on the cooperation of
@prezydentpl
and the government to make this project truly work 💬

We must finally end the excessive fees and VAT on energy, which are among the highest (as a percentage of the total price) in the European Union!"

Sikorski on Ziobro:

I Don't Want to Reveal What I'll Do If Hungary Makes an Unfriendly Move. But There Will Be a Reaction.

- Hungary is of course blocking not just this one thing. Just as in the case of former Deputy Minister Romanowski and his return to the country, they are also blocking the enlargement of the European Union, they are blocking half a billion euros, which is two billion zlotys, for the Polish Army from money that belongs to us from the European defense budget - Radosław Sikorski said on "Gość Wydarzeń" Polsat News.

- After granting asylum to Romanowski, I recalled the Polish ambassador to the country. I don't want to reveal here what I will do if Hungary makes another unfriendly move. But there will definitely be a reaction - he stated.

20:20

Sikorski Assures:

Romanowski and Ziobro Will Face a Polish Judge Sooner or Later,

"They all think they will evade justice. I assure you, both Romanowski and Ziobro will face a Polish judge sooner or later," Radosław Sikorski said on "Gość Wydarzeń" on Polsat News.

20:22

Ziobro Detained in Hungary? Siemoniak: The Tools Exist

- The tools exist, I mean the European Arrest Warrant, so there will be a specific sequence here, this is why we agreed in Europe, in the European Union on extraditions, there are rules, if a person is suspected of committing crimes in Poland, Hungary should hand that person over - said Tomasz Siemoniak in an interview with Justyna Dobrosz-Oracz on TVP Info's "Pytanie dnia" (Question of the Day), when asked if, should an arrest decision be made, Zbigniew Ziobro would be detained in Hungary without asylum.

20:27

Sikorski to PiS Politicians:

Aren’t You Ashamed That Orbán, the Most Putin-Friendly Politician in the EU, is Protecting Your Thieves?

- Tell me who your friends are, and I'll tell you who you are. This alliance of PiS with Orbán is astonishing. Because Orbán is undoubtedly the most Putin-friendly politician in the EU today. So I ask my colleagues from PiS: aren’t you ashamed that Orbán is protecting your thieves? - said Radosław Sikorski on Polsat News’s “Gość Wydarzeń” (Guest of Events).

20:27

Siemoniak:

In a Political Sense, This is Ziobro's End

- In a legal sense, he has certainly harmed himself, because everyone sees that he is running away, evading, and in a political sense, I believe, this is his end, because he simply shows that he is not a leader, but is running away from truth and justice - said Tomasz Siemoniak on TVP Info.

- He has a situation, I would say, that is quite ambiguous even towards PiS itself. We remember the party leader's letter during the campaign, stating that the Fund for Justice is being spent on electoral purposes by Ziobro's political colleagues - he continued.

20:32

Siemoniak:

The President is Waging War on the Government

- [The President] is waging war on the government, completely misjudging his situation, trying to expand his competencies and not cooperating on such fundamental matters as state security issues - said Tomasz Siemoniak on TVP Info.

- I can understand the issue of the judiciary within this logic, which for years has been in complete disarray due to what PiS has done. However, how can one block appointments to the first officer rank for people who have joined the service, who are not political in any way, who have no negative backgrounds, how can this be questioned? The President did this because he clearly wants a war with the government - he continued.

20:39

What About the Pegasus Surveillance List? Siemoniak Responds

- The prosecution has it, of course - Tomasz Siemoniak said on TVP Info, when asked if the services have a complete list of those surveilled with Pegasus.

- Minister Bodnar spoke about this earlier; it is within the purview of the prosecution, which has gathered from all services the individuals who were surveilled using this system - he continued, when pressed on whether it concerns 500 people or more.

- There is an investigation into this matter, and only the prosecution can say anything about it - he added, when asked how many people were illegally surveilled.

20:40

Sikorski:

Parliamentary Immunity is Too Broad

- There are countries where, for example, parliamentary immunity only means that one cannot be sued for what they say from the parliamentary tribune. Here, I believe, immunity is too broad. For what reason does anyone have the right to hide behind immunity for drunk driving? Immunity is meant to protect against political persecution, not against crimes - said Radosław Sikorski in "Gość Wydarzeń" on Polsat News.

20:48

Sikorski:

If Ukraine were to tolerate corruption, it would not join the EU

- Today, I hosted the Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine [Taras] Kaczka, and he heard this message directly from me, once again, that the easiest way to lose Western support is to tolerate corruption in Ukraine - said Radosław Sikorski in "Gość Wydarzeń" on Polsat News.

- As I understand it, arrests have been made here [regarding Energoatom], so this is probably rather an example of the correct reaction of state bodies. Although we know there were attempts to strip the anti-corruption service of its effectiveness - he noted.

- How the Ukrainian authorities react to this will be crucial. Because corruption happens everywhere. But as I understand it, the suspects have already been dismissed, and the anti-corruption services have been allowed to operate. That is good - he assessed.

- Since there are arrests, it means that Ukraine wants to be a European state. If it were to tolerate corruption, it would not join the European Union. The EU requires honesty, it requires adherence to procedures - emphasized the head of Polish diplomacy.

20:48

Siemoniak:

Creating the impression that everyone, everywhere was under Pegasus surveillance, I interpret as an attempt to obscure the truth

- This concerns several hundred people and requires very thorough work, because as the case of Roman Giertych showed, it is enough that he spoke with someone and that conversation was subjected to Pegasus surveillance, therefore this expands the catalogue - said Tomasz Siemoniak on TVP Info.

- This does not mean that these people were themselves surveilled by Pegasus, but rather that they are victims of this surveillance - he continued.

- Creating the impression that everyone, everywhere was under Pegasus surveillance is an element, I interpret it as an attempt to obscure the truth and an attempt to show the public opinion that, in essence, everyone was being surveilled everywhere. No, there is a precise, defined number, and the prosecution is dealing with this matter - he went on to say.

21:11

Sikorski:

Relations with the USA are excellent

- I was one of the first guests of Secretary of State Marco Rubio. And now we are conducting normal diplomacy, we are meeting, we have a new ambassador. Relations with the United States are excellent. I don't see any disagreement on this matter, so why look for problems where there are none? - said Radosław Sikorski in "Gość Wydarzeń" Polsat News.

- I am in constant dialogue with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio. You have seen both my meeting in Florida and in Washington... Of course, there will be [in the future], normal allied cooperation - he continued.
