At 9:00 AM in Warsaw, in the presence of Deputy Minister of National Defence Cezary Tomczyk, a preliminary cooperation agreement will be signed between the NATO Security Investment Programme (NSIP) Agency (ZIOTP) and PERN S.A. regarding the implementation of a program to expand Polish fuel infrastructure, aiming to connect it to the NATO pipeline system.

At 12:00 PM, a press conference will be held in the Sejm by the head of the PiS parliamentary club, Mariusz Błaszczak, and MP Sebastian Kaleta.

- This is a decision of the entire coalition, primarily the Prime Minister, whether he will be or will not be. I like how he fights. We in PSL respect fighters, and politics is a tough game, and sometimes you have to fight for your own, even if it's not obvious, because the coalition agreement did not precisely state what happens when Szymon Hołownia ceases to be the Marshal of the Sejm, what happens to the Deputy Prime Ministers - said Dariusz Klimczak in "One on One" on TVN24.

- I think the word regret doesn't fit in politics. I believe it was a mistake by Poland 2050. The chaos they have introduced does not serve the cause. It misleads public opinion into thinking there is an alternative to building the CPK. There is no alternative. The government is building the CPK, building the airport, building high-speed rail, and PiS, through the president's hands, is throwing sand in the gears. PiS did not expect us to approach the implementation of this project with such dynamism, that we would improve its parameters, so it is in their interest to hinder us and, unfortunately, they are really misleading the president, the new president. Why Poland 2050 decided to do this, it is difficult for me to say - Dariusz Klimczak said on TVN24's "Jeden na jeden".

- Privately, I wish Szymon Hołownia all the best. However, as a representative of the government, I believe he is making a mistake. He should simply join the government and work with us. The Sejm and the government are two different worlds; there's no point comparing a horse to a train. Simply put, if you enter politics, you want to govern, and you implement your ideas in the government. Politics is not an easy life. You need tremendous health to find your way in politics, and I believe Szymon Hołownia is taking a bit of an easy way out - said Dariusz Klimczak in "Jeden na jeden" on TVN24.

- I have information that we are on the right track to reach a compromise on this matter. I respect the left for stepping back from its firm stance; that's how politics is done. We also decided to approach this discussion factually. We believe that people in Poland need their lives made easier. Everyone is in a different situation, not everyone necessarily wants to enter into a church marriage; there are various circumstances. We must be flexible. The PSL is a Christian democratic party, but it is also a centrist party. Therefore, it must consider arguments from both the right and the left of the political spectrum. - said Dariusz Klimczak in the "One on One" program on TVN24.
 

- I want to emphasize that when I left Nowoczesna, meaning I lost the elections, it had 9% support. It seems to me that this is far from a disaster, then the people who took over led it to 1%. So I think that if today, in a short period, we were able to rebuild support to 9% in Poland 2050, that wouldn’t be bad - stated Ryszard Petru in an interview with Marcin Fijołek  for Polsat News' “Graffiti.”

- Today, within the ruling coalition or the government, there is no group that strongly sides with entrepreneurs. It sides with the opposition, I admit that, but not with the government. And it seems there is a natural need for someone who will say this very loudly - stated Ryszard Petru in "Graffiti" on Polsat News.

- Today, I believe we are at the halfway point. We can rebuild our credibility, the trust of Poles, take a significant portion, and win back those voters who are now inclined to vote for Konfederacja, puncturing Mentzen's puffed-up balloon by showing that they are empty - stated Ryszard Petru on Polsat News' "Graffiti."

- There will indeed be changes regarding the name of the Civic Platform, we are merging with Inicjatywa Polska and Nowoczesna, but we are not revealing the new name yet - said Marcin Kierwiński in the "Morning Conversation" on RMF FM.

- It will be a new name - he continued.

- This is a prospect of the next few weeks - he further stated, when asked when the new name would be announced.

- I think so [in October] - he added.

- I will thoroughly read the report I receive from the State Protection Service (SOP) concerning the protection of the most important state officials, and then I will make decisions. The Commander of SOP has already drawn initial consequences there, I am speaking about consequences within the organization, but I will still consider whether further consequences should be drawn - said Marcin Kierwiński in RMF FM, when asked if there would be dismissals in SOP.

- As far as I know, it [the report] is on Minister Mroczek's desk this week, or it will be on the desk of Minister Mroczek, who supervises SOP - he continued.

- Yes [decisions may be made at the beginning of next week] - he added.

- I think it is a rational direction, provided there is agreement from the Confederation. PO showed this back in 2019, that precisely thanks to such a pact, they allowed representatives of various political forces, who at the time disagreed on many things, to get their candidates into the Senate – said Janusz Cieszyński in „Gość Radia ZET”, when asked by Marcin Zaborski whether PiS should enter into a Senate pact with the Confederation before the next elections.

- When it comes to all sorts of talks – that's political cuisine and we don't discuss it in radio studios. […] I'm talking about my assessment of this situation. Anything that leads to the Senate ceasing to be a PO stronghold is a good solution – he assessed.

- I am a supporter of Poland joining the euro area. Second point, Poland 2050 voted for this in the previous parliament and had a postulate that only working individuals should receive the 800+ benefit. This was Poland 2050's postulate, which is why I am in this party and why I endorse it. It's a postulate that would significantly improve the budget situation and Minister Domański's comfort, but also the security of all of us as Poles, ensuring that we spend these funds on social expenditures sensibly, not wastefully - stated Ryszard Petru in "Graffiti" on Polsat News.

"This is a local conflict [in the Lower Silesian regional assembly]. I happen to know many of these councilors who were removed from the list of members of the [PiS] club very well. However, I am convinced that the situation is such that someone simply had to mislead President Jarosław Kaczyński" - said Janusz Cieszyński in "Gość Radia ZET".

"I said very clearly that, in my opinion, he was misled. If you read the statement of the councilors, for example, they clearly indicate in the last paragraph of that statement that they see a chance for returning to PiS and acting within the formation with which they identify precisely through the intercession of President Jarosław Kaczyński" - he stated.

- There are many misrepresentations in this matter. I stated very firmly that I am not in favour of top-down bans [...]. However, I am in favour of effective programs to limit alcohol sales in the capital city of Warsaw - said Marcin Kierwiński on RMF FM, when asked if he had been convinced that a night-time prohibition is a good solution for Warsaw.

- And such a program, effective, comprehensive, and as for its effectiveness, it always needs to be tested, was proposed by the councillors of the capital city of Warsaw, and this program, which they proposed, in my opinion, because it is comprehensive, is better than simply saying 'a ban will solve all problems' - he continued.

- Regardless of what is happening in this matter, there will be an attempt to drive a wedge between me and Mayor Trzaskowski - he went on to say.

- Our relationship [with Rafał Trzaskowski] has been very, very good for many, many years, we cooperate on an ongoing basis [...] simple collegiality [...]. No, there are no differences between us on this matter [...] after all, the Mayor finalized this amendment with the club, after all, this amendment was ultimately adopted as the Mayor's self-amendment - he added.

- In my opinion, these are not people from the local area [in Lower Silesia] saying this, but people sitting in Warsaw who see that Mateusz Morawiecki has been doing very well in politics recently. He defeated Sławomir Mentzen and Adrian Zandberg in the debate. And it's about weakening Mateusz Morawiecki's position - said Janusz Cieszyński in "Gość Radia ZET", when asked if the situation in the Lower Silesian PiS is a manifestation of a factional struggle between Mateusz Morawiecki and Elżbieta Witek.

- I believe this is not a good direction. I believe that what we are working on, namely the issue of a citizenship test, verifying whether a given foreigner speaks Polish [...] whether they are assimilated and whether they 100% link their future with Poland, is a better path than what the President is proposing - said Marcin Kierwiński on RMF FM, when asked about the President's proposal to extend the time required to obtain Polish citizenship to 10 years.

- We will talk with the President about these solutions, because the issues of granting citizenship are within the President's prerogatives - he continued.

- No, we don't have three years; this is untrue information. De facto, the typical process for granting citizenship in Poland is 8 years, because it's 3 and 5 years for temporary and permanent residence, respectively [...] then in 99% of cases, one can actually obtain citizenship - he went on to say.

- The President uses this three-year formula, but this formula only applies to people applying for political asylum, and there have been fewer than 100 such cases in the last few years. [...] This is some methodological error or a misunderstanding of the regulations - he added.

- I think Mateusz Morawiecki would be a great prime minister. He proved it over 6 years in the role. However, there are many faces in PiS – and that is our strength. And that's very good. There are no parties that can be led by just one person – said Janusz Cieszyński on "Gość Radia ZET".

- Is it a shame that Szymon Hołownia wants to leave Polish politics? - asked Marcin Zaborski on "Gość Radia ZET".

- I don't know if he wants to leave entirely. But I think he was a good marshal - replied Janusz Cieszyński.

- I think as many as the parliamentary club of PiS counts - said Janusz Cieszyński in "Gość Radia ZET", when asked how many sabers Mateusz Morawiecki has in the Sejm today.

- Absolutely [I would be in favour of a ban on alcohol sales in shops in Warsaw between 10 PM and 6 AM]. I believe this is a very serious problem altogether. It is a social problem, a problem that could determine whether we as Poland will develop rapidly or not – said Janusz Cieszyński in an interview with Radio ZET's "Gość Radia ZET" (Guest of Radio ZET).

In his opinion: - There is no point in downplaying this, as some people do. We need to deal with this seriously, we need to put aside any political friction.

When asked if the nighttime alcohol ban should be nationwide, he replied: - Yes, I believe so. There is really no reason to improve access to alcohol. I don't know of any such reasons.

- In our case, we have the good fortune of having a great many strong names - said Tobiasz Bocheński in an interview with Jacek Prusinowski on Radio Plus's "Sedno Sprawy" (The Core of the Matter).

When asked if his name had also appeared in the speculative reshuffling and if he would like to be Prime Minister, he stated: - Of course, I would like to be the Prime Minister of the Republic. It is a great challenge, especially in these times. It requires immense work, as well as dynamism, and I think I would like to face it.

- We are most focused on preparing the program. We have, by the way, a lesson from Donald Trump, who came and knew exactly every day what he would do, what the agenda was. It was literally written down - said Tobiasz Bocheński in "Sedno sprawy" on Radio Plus.

- Just the preparation and the attitude that a team is coming with a whole playbook, a whole big book of what they want to do. They know what they want to do in specific spheres and immediately start acting. This government has been in power for two years and they are constantly looking around: "what are we going to do?" - he stated.

- This is a joke. So that's what we're focusing on, because we want to tell Poles that if we take responsibility - and I believe we will - for governing Poland, then work will start at full speed from day one in all matters - declared the Deputy Head of PiS.

- I don't believe Mr. Hołownia meets the criteria for that position [UN High Commissioner for Refugees]. I believe his entire time in Polish politics so far has rather shown that he is immature and inexperienced. So I don't know on what basis he would meet expectations of this kind, such a high position in the UN - said Tobiasz Bocheński in the program "Sedno Sprawy" on Radio Plus.

"He is the second person in the Polish state. According to constitutional responsibility precedence, he is the second person in the Polish state. I don't understand why a person in such a high Polish position suddenly decides to flee Polish politics" - said Tobiasz Bocheński in "Sedno Sprawy" on Radio Plus.

"Mr. Hołownia resigned from leading his party, which entered the Sejm solely because he had such a name and came up with a project that is associated only and exclusively with him. He took responsibility for the voters' votes, to whom he promised something, for the parliamentarians he had previously gathered as a group and told them he would fight for their interests in the Sejm" - he continued.

"And today, as his comfortable position is ending, he decides to leave them all and flee. I absolutely do not respect such conduct" - he stated.

- We certainly realize today that this is a great day for Poland, in fact, the beginning of a great journey that we are starting today. In the 1960s and 1970s, a large fuel pipeline system was established within NATO […]. This strategic connection was made for the purpose of a potential confrontation with the then Soviet Union, and in reality, with Russia - said Cezary Tomczyk at a press conference.

- The first talks concerning Poland's inclusion in this large system began in 2014, after the annexation of Crimea by Russia. At that time, at a working level, at the NATO level, the concept emerged that NATO countries that joined the Alliance in 1999 could become part of this great system. […] The first discussions were held by the government of Prime Minister Donald Tusk - the Deputy Minister of National Defence stated.

"We have effectively fought for this project for 11 years"

- We have effectively fought for this project for 11 years. […] In December 2024, the Strategic Commands of the Alliance, SHAPE and ACT, announced a list of investments. And on this list of investments were those concerning the connection of Poland within the great pipeline system to the NATO system. The last few months have been a time for working out the details among ourselves, within the government - he continued.

Poland Granted Funds for Planning and Designing the Investment

- I can proudly announce that NATO Headquarters, specifically the NATO Support and Procurement Agency (NSPA), has granted Poland funds for the planning and design of the aforementioned investment. The investment, in connection with our agreement, will be planned and designed by the NATO Construction and Engineering Agency (NACE) - Tomczyk declared.

300 Kilometers of Pipelines from the German Border

- We are talking about a project that […] will amount to 20 billion Polish zlotys. We are talking about the construction of pipelines over a 300-kilometer stretch from the German border to the PERN base near Bydgoszcz, and we are talking about one of the largest investments in the security of the Polish state in the last 30 years - he emphasized.

- We wanted to present the position of the Law and Justice Parliamentary Club regarding the violation of law by the current Minister of Justice, Waldemar Żurek. What has happened, related to the issuance of a regulation that abolishes the random assignment of judges to preside over specific cases, is a manifestation of the lack of rule of law in our country, it is a manifestation of changing the law through a regulation [...] it is a manifestation of manipulating courts to rule in political processes – Mariusz Błaszczak said at a press conference.

- One could say that communism is back. Communism, in the form it took before '89, has returned under Donald Tusk's government. After all, what is this all about? It's about having 'judges on call' again – he continued.

- It was during the Law and Justice government that the system of random assignment of judges to specific cases was introduced – he further stated.

- The Law and Justice Parliamentary Club will take action on this matter. These actions will aim, on the one hand, to prepare a complaint to the Constitutional Tribunal [...] and also, at the next Sejm session, at our request, I hope a meeting of the Committee on Justice and Human Rights will be convened, specifically dedicated to this issue – he added.

- It won't help, because over 50% of Poles view Donald Tusk's government negatively. These are facts. And some kinds of moves, changing labels, or reshuffling people from one side to another won't change that. Donald Tusk's government is governing disastrously, as evidenced, for example, by the record-high deficit in public finances - said Mariusz Błaszczak at a press conference, when asked about the planned renaming of Civic Platform (PO), its merger with Nowoczesna and Inicjatywa Polska, and "whether this will help regain voters' trust".

- The beginning was disastrous, but later one must give credit to Marshal Hołownia for behaving as he should have, at a time when an attempted coup d'état was being carried out in our country, related to the intention to prevent the swearing-in of Mr. President Karol Nawrocki - Mariusz Błaszczak said at a press conference.

- I regret that Szymon Hołownia is not fighting to the end, I regret that he decided to actually withdraw from politics, I hope it was not because he could not withstand the hate campaign - he continued.

- Perhaps Marshal Hołownia will yet decide to remain Sejm Marshal for another term, until the elections. If he were to decide that, I would vote for Marshal Hołownia to be Sejm Marshal. I certainly will not vote for an old communist - he went on to say.

- First, they illegally took over the prosecution, then, against the opinions of judicial collegiums, they replaced court presidents, and now they want to manually appoint judges to rule. - A storm erupted over how cases should be assigned. Should the SLPS randomly assign all three judges, or just the rapporteur? We are introducing new solutions - said Waldemar Żurek in a recording published on X.

- The SLPS, or System for Random Case Assignment, was until now called a "ziobrolotek" by judges because one person in the Ministry of Justice could determine what would be assigned to whom. That's what IT specialists say - he continued.

- We want to do it differently. The rapporteur will be randomly assigned, but the department head in each court will be able to select the remaining two members of the panel according to a clear procedure established by the president, and which has been reviewed by the collegium - he went on to say.

- This is important because this "ziobrolotek" caused chaos in the departments. In reality, it was very difficult to form panels; these random assignments resulted in one judge being on multiple panels, running between hearings, which prolonged proceedings - he added.

- We want to restore a situation where we can resolve cases more quickly. I hope this will prove effective in practice - he stressed.

- As the President of the Republic, I call upon all judges - regardless of the procedure by which you were appointed and from the hands of which President of the Republic of Poland you received your letter of appointment - to, guided by the constitutional principle of Article 178 of the Constitution, remain independent in the exercise of your office and be subject only to the Constitution and laws. In this way, you will confirm your independence from the brutal attempts at pressure, manipulation, and lawlessness that are being forced upon you - Nawrocki wrote.

- As the guardian of the Constitution, I assure you of full support for judges who will not succumb to unlawful attempts to deprive them of their independence. At the same time, I say clearly: whoever succumbs to lawlessness and breaks their oath will undermine their own mandate to adjudicate in the name of the Republic - both morally and based on public trust - and decisions made under such conditions will be challenged - he added.

Annalena Baerbock - informed the Chancellery of the Sejm.

The topics of conversation included, among others, key issues related to international security and the reform of the United Nations, including the potential for greater involvement of national parliaments in the work of the UN.

- The Marshal and the President agreed that the current moment of crisis in multilateral cooperation should be seized as an opportunity for a thorough reform of the Organization - it was announced.

- Chairman Guterres and I, in a sense, share a common path, because we both started with charitable organizations established by or around the Church. He was involved in that practically his entire young life - said Szymon Hołownia in an interview with Marcin Wrona on TVN24, after meeting with the UN Secretary-General in New York.

- We share a common sense – that was my impression – of the current state of the world. And it was an introductory and, you could say, fine-tuning meeting. But it was definitely not a job interview - he emphasized.

- I think there was [chemistry], that it was a good conversation. Secretary-General Guterres also noted that both the Prime Minister and the President spoke highly of me to him - he indicated.

- I told my colleagues very clearly: I am not with you forever. My job is to establish an organization and then give responsibility to people as quickly as possible – said Szymon Hołownia in an interview with Marcin Wrona on TVN24.

Asked if he was a captain abandoning a sinking ship, he replied: – No, I am a captain who tells the first officer and the other sailors: listen, this is your time to be captains, to advance internally, to take responsibility.

- I will not back down. I have the impression that I pose a certain threat to the camp that once created an authoritarian state – I am not afraid to use that word – Waldemar Żurek wrote on social media.

- A few years ago, we saw where Poland was heading – the destruction of the constitution, the breaking of the terms of office of the National Council of the Judiciary, the failure to swear in legal judges of the Constitutional Tribunal, the breaking of the term of office of the First President of the Supreme Court, the manual control of courts, the destruction of judicial self-governance – the list is very long. It was lawlessness – he stated.

As the minister emphasized: - I am not afraid of this camp of power. I have a plan on how to hold them accountable, and I am consistently implementing it. And their outcry is merely a natural reaction.
