Thursday's Political Agenda: Tusk at the EPC Summit, Warsaw City Council on Nighttime Alcohol Ban in Two Districts

Today marks the second day of Prime Minister Donald Tusk's visit to Copenhagen. The head of the Polish government will participate in the European Political Community (EPC) meeting, with its opening session scheduled for 10:00 AM.

At 12:00 PM, discussions at breakout sessions will commence. At 2:00 PM, a meeting of leaders of the coordination group for Moldova will take place, with Poland, Germany, France, Romania, the United Kingdom, Italy, the European Commission, and the European Council in attendance. Following this, at 2:35 PM, there will be a meeting of the so-called "Coalition of the Willing" involving Poland, Ukraine, Denmark, Italy, the United Kingdom, Germany, and France. The closing session is planned for 3:15 PM.

At 10:00 AM in the Sejm, a press conference is scheduled with the head of the PiS parliamentary club, Mariusz Błaszczak, along with Zbigniew Kuźmiuk and Andrzej Śliwka.

Today at 2:00 PM, an extraordinary session of the Warsaw City Council, convened at the request of Mayor Rafał Trzaskowski, will begin. The session will address the introduction of a nighttime alcohol sales ban between 11 PM and 6 AM in the districts of Śródmieście and Praga-Północ. Resolutions on this matter are to be sent to the respective district councils for their opinion.

08:02

Saryusz-Wolski on the EU-Mercosur Agreement:

The Ball is in Play, the Match is Not Lost.

- The ball is in play, the match is not lost. It is very difficult, one must admit, because it was only very late that this signal, or loud “no” from Poland, came after the election of President Nawrocki - Jacek Saryusz-Wolski said on Radio Republika.

- However, we must fight to the end because it is a very great threat to agriculture, food security, and general security from the actions of the European Commission, which is attempting to undermine agricultural policy by cutting budget funds by 30% in the next seven-year period and by allowing competition into the agricultural market that will be lethal for parts of European agriculture, and especially Polish agriculture - he stated.

08:19

Pełczyńska-Nałęcz asked about the promise of a PLN 1 academic dormitory:

We are a minority coalition partner. If you were to go through the 100 specific points, not everything has been realized either.

- We are a minority coalition partner. If you were to go through the 100 specific points of the majority coalition partner, not everything has been realized there either, so it's not entirely fair to look at it that way. Tell me what we've done from our 12 guarantees, and nothing would have happened - said Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz on "Gość Radia Zet".

08:26

Leśkiewicz on Aid to Ukraine:

It's Clearly Visible That Trump Is Consistently Implementing His Political Assumptions.

- Without a doubt, President Trump has for a long time been talking about helping Ukraine more decisively, and here we have such a media announcement that Ukrainians will receive additional help from Americans in the form of intelligence data, which is extremely important. However, there has also been an announcement of the transfer of Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine, which are currently in Germany and will be transferred to Ukraine along with launchers - stated Rafał Leśkiewicz in an interview with Marcin Fijołek on Polsat News's "Graffiti".

- This is a very good declaration, and it is clearly visible, contrary to what some European politicians, including Polish ones, have said, that Donald Trump is consistently implementing his political assumptions, those announcements he spoke about, including during meetings with President Nawrocki, that he would help Ukraine - the spokesperson for the President of the Republic of Poland continued.

08:26

Pełczyńska-Nałęcz on Negotiating the KPO:

We Saved 5 to 10 Billion in Investments for Poland.

- The way we, myself and Minister Szyszko, are negotiating the KPO is that if there are things essential for Poland, we assertively put them forward and talk until we achieve a result. This is the 3rd revision of the KPO. I think as a result of these negotiations, which I and we have conducted, we have saved 5 to 10 billion in investments for Poland and also removed certain items, because there were 3 car taxes written into the KPO which we inherited. We removed one in the first revision, and we put these two on the table now - said Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz on "Gość Radia Zet".

08:28

Bocheński on the situation within the PiS club in the Lower Silesian Regional Assembly:

Some councillors strayed a bit, and they needed to be brought back into line.

- Tensions happen, a party is like a corporation and sometimes discipline needs to be restored for it to function well [...]. I think some councillors [...] strayed a bit and they needed to be brought back into line [...] they simply made some mistakes – said Tobiasz Bocheński in the "Morning Interview" on RMF FM, when asked about "the expulsion of half the members" from the PiS club in the Lower Silesian Regional Assembly.

- I believe they also made a serious mistake by writing some statements and letters; such matters are handled internally [...] they have every right to submit any explanations within Law and Justice, we will listen with interest to what they have to say, but issuing statements is a political mistake – he continued.

08:32

Saryusz-Wolski:

The Argument for Ukrainian Reparations from Aggressor Russia Can Be Used in Poland's Case for its Own Reparations

- The summit in Copenhagen, which concluded yesterday evening in its EU part, was dedicated to defense and also to Ukraine. What unites them is the European Commission's proposal, which was discussed, to establish a so-called reparation loan, based on the assets of the Russian central bank, held mainly in Belgium, and somewhat in Luxembourg, amounting to almost 200 billion euros, to issue eurobonds and redirect these funds to Ukraine for the purchase of weapons, note, EU weapons – said Jacek Saryusz-Wolski on Radio Republika.

- So, it's a somewhat perverted plan to help Ukraine with Russian money, and at the same time, to help arms industries, mainly German and French by implication. This was not decided at this summit, but it is to be decided at the formal summit [...] in Brussels in 3 weeks, and this is the direction it is heading – he indicated.

As he later stated: - The message from the conference in Copenhagen that Ukraine is entitled to reparations from the aggressor Russia is a line of reasoning that acknowledges this right and can be used in Poland's argumentation regarding its own rightful reparations.

08:39

"Implementing a Kremlin Scenario": Leśkiewicz Responds to Ukrainian Historians' Move

- Unfortunately, this is the implementation by some historians from Ukraine, because it was mainly Ukrainian historians who signed such an open statement, which was indeed disseminated yesterday by the Ukrainian Embassy in Poland. This is unfortunately the implementation of a scenario written in the Kremlin, aimed at provoking another crisis on the historical front between Poles and Ukrainians. There is no symmetry here - stated Rafał Leśkiewicz in the "Graffiti" program on Polsat News.

08:39

Pełczyńska-Nałęcz:

Public Media Are More Free from Party Influence Than Under PiS Rule. It Was a Sewer, Now It's Better

- Today, public media are certainly more free from party influence than they were under the rule of PiS. It was, I would say, an absolute propaganda mouthpiece that Russia would not have been ashamed of - said Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz in "Gość Radia Zet".

- It was a sewer, now it's better, but it needs to be solved systemically, and now, systemically, a good draft bill has been prepared, taking all this into account, ready to change and reform public media in this direction. This draft bill was submitted for government work and was not accepted for this government work - Pełczyńska-Nałęcz continued.

08:43

Who Would Be the Best Prime Minister from PiS? Bocheński Names Candidates

- We have this problem in Law and Justice that we have a great many good candidates. Both Przemysław Czarnek and Mariusz Błaszczak, and Patryk Jaki, are excellent names, but there are more such individuals - Tobiasz Bocheński said on RMF FM, responding to a listener's question about who, besides Jarosław Kaczyński, would be the best prime minister.

- Mateusz Morawiecki was a very good prime minister. We don't know [if he will hold this position again]. That's a matter to consider after the elections - he continued, when asked about Mateusz Morawiecki.

- I would absolutely not shy away from this function - he went on to say, when asked about himself.

08:47

Petru Stood Alone at the Conference for Now. To Become a Formal Candidate, You Need Signatures from 10% of Party Members.' Pełczyńska-Nałęcz on a Potential Debate with Petru

- Mr. Ryszard Petru stood alone at the conference for now, which is quite symptomatic, and he declared that he wants to be. To become a formal candidate, you need signatures from 10% of the party members, that's just the formal requirement. Then he will gather them and will be a candidate. I haven't said anything at all about my candidacy for now. I believe this is not the moment; the elections are in 3 months. Now, Polska 2050 has other tasks ahead of it - said Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz on "Gość Radia Zet".

08:49

Bocheński:

When Speaking of National Interest, Poland Absolutely Should Not Extradite or Prosecute Volodymyr Z.

- It depends on the level at which we will consider this. Whether it's justice in general, let's say, implied by law, or justice applied by law and international relations arising from law, or national interest - said Tobiasz Bocheński in RMF FM, when asked about the detention of Volodymyr Z.

- I prefer to consider it from the perspective of national interest. And when we speak of national interest, Poland absolutely should not extradite him nor prosecute him, because states operate in such a way that if something happens not necessarily on their orders, but something beneficial from their geopolitical point of view, then there is no reason to prosecute such a person - he continued.

- We don't know if he is guilty or innocent, but I believe that Poland should not manifest this, nor speak loudly about it [...] one could have made it understood to the Germans, of course quietly, that we are not interested in delivering to their justice system individuals suspected of blowing up the gas pipeline that financed the Russian army - he went on to say.

- This is how these matters are handled in the world, this is how major states handle them - he added, when asked if Volodymyr Z. "should perhaps escape, somehow get lost, perhaps some handcuffs should unfasten".

09:00

Bocheński on Hołownia's Plans:

This is Incomprehensible to Me.

- Frankly, this is incomprehensible to me, because let's remember, we are talking about the second person in the state [...] a very responsible position, these are the absolute heights of power, responsibility for legislation, this is the top of the top positions in the Polish state – said Tobiasz Bocheński on RMF FM, when asked how he assesses Szymon Hołownia's decision to attempt to travel to Geneva.

- If a politician who holds such an important position suddenly states that he will no longer represent his voters, will not deal with politics, the common good, will not present his vision [...] but now has a great, different occupation [...] or would like to be and already sees himself as such, then I somehow doubt his intentions of entering politics – he continued.

09:01

Leśkiewicz:

Telling Ukrainians "Let's See What You Do"

- In our assessment, we wanted to show Ukrainians that we are also capable of issuing any decisions, approvals, and reaching agreements regarding the conduct of operations… We could have said 'no', but in this specific case, we said: fine, carry out these works, but we expect you to make the next move and allow work to begin in several other locations in Volhynia - stated Rafał Leśkiewicz on Polsat News' "Graffiti".

- This is primarily a 'let's see what you do' moment, telling Ukrainians 'let's see what you do'. We issued, we made a decision, although it is not a formal administrative consent in any way, I deny these rumors here - the presidential spokesperson continued.

09:08

Who Will Lead Poland 2050? Bocheński: I'm Keeping My Fingers Crossed for Petru

- Of course, Ryszard Petru, because he will sink them. Of course, I'm rooting for him - said Tobiasz Bocheński on RMF FM, when asked who he would see as the head of Poland 2050.

- Whatever Ryszard Petru touches in politics, he kills. So yes, I'm keeping my fingers crossed for Ryszard Petru - he continued.

09:15

Will the President Sign the Bill on Increasing CIT for Banks? Leśkiewicz Responds

- For now, we have the adoption of this bill at the government level, two days ago. First and foremost, we need to consider whether this is a systemic solution or an ad hoc measure. This is an ad hoc measure, which assumes, it seems, an increase in the CIT tax on the income of financial institutions, because it's not just banks, to 30%, and then it's supposed to decrease - stated Rafał Leśkiewicz in Polsat News' "Graffiti".

- I will not answer the question of whether the president will sign this bill or not, because this is a project that is only just entering parliamentary works, and that will be the moment to discuss this bill. It is too early to talk about any specifics - he continued.

09:21

Leśkiewicz on Nawrocki's Words:

This Shows How Russian Propaganda and Authorities Observe the President's Actions.

- The President allowed himself a joke in a conversation with Bogdan Rymanowski, but it was exploited by Russian propaganda. This demonstrates how Russian propaganda and Russian authorities monitor the actions of President Karol Nawrocki, who speaks very decisively about the actions of the Russian Federation and is himself pursued by the Russian Federation's authorities for the removal of Soviet propaganda objects - stated Rafał Leśkiewicz in "Graffiti" on Polsat News.

09:25

Pełczyńska-Nałęcz Wants to Meet with Tusk:

We Expect Partnership Without Forceful Marginalization.

- We are coalition partners, we play honestly with each other, in order to govern together and well. If, all of a sudden, the principle began to prevail in the coalition, and I don’t suspect anyone would want that, that we don’t keep our promises, that we push one coalition partner or another into a corner. We start acting forcefully, dishonestly, and unfairly towards each other, then instead of moving forward as a whole government, we will focus on ourselves, and that is very bad – said Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz on “Gość Radia Zet”.

When asked if she had asked the Prime Minister for a conversation about her role, she continued:

- I will definitely ask for such a substantive conversation about how the Prime Minister sees this role. However, nominations are always on the side of coalition partners and parties. The agreements are joint, that each party will now have a Deputy Prime Minister.

- We, for example, in the spirit of absolute coalition agreement and partnership, with complete understanding, reacted to the nomination of Deputy Prime Minister Sikorski, from the Civic Coalition. So now each party has its Deputy Prime Minister, and there were agreements that it would be like this. We behave honestly, as partners, stably; we expect the same from others without any forceful marginalization, because as I said, the effect will be that everything will go inwards instead of outwards – she further stated.

09:41

Tusk in Copenhagen on the Importance of Defending the Eastern Flank:

As Polish Prime Minister, I am satisfied.

- These are not pleasant topics, as you can imagine, but as the Polish Prime Minister, I am satisfied that this Polish perspective on the importance of defending the [NATO] eastern flank has now become a common viewpoint. No one questions anymore that the eastern border, with Russia and Belarus, is the border of all of Europe, of all of NATO, and that everyone must take responsibility, including financial and organizational, for the protection of our eastern border – stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk at a press briefing in Copenhagen.

09:42

Tusk in Copenhagen on the Drone Wall:

We Must Seek Methods Maximizing Our Security.

- Of course, we are realists and I warned our partners that we don't have any expectations that, for example, a drone wall, a drone barrier will be erected on our border that will 100% eliminate any threats. Voices emerged, e.g., Chancellor Merz said that he believes this idea, the drone wall, doesn't guarantee us 100% effectiveness - stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk at a press briefing in Copenhagen.

- My answer was very honest and quite brutal in its honesty. If someone is looking for 100% methods, guarantees of security, they will find nothing. We, as NATO, as Europe, must seek methods maximizing our security - he continued.

10:16

Tusk on Orban:

It's Probably Unfortunately Clear Whose Side He's On,

- It's been known for years that we are critical of each other regarding relations with Russia. The question about Viktor Orbán and the war, because Viktor Orbán believes there is no war, while I believe there is a war, the real question is not whether there is a war or not; the real question is – whose side are you on in this war, because war is something black and white – stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk at a press briefing in Copenhagen.

- When there is a war, like the war between Russia and Ukraine, the question then is – whose side are you on, and it's clear whose side Poland is on, it's clear whose side NATO and Europe are on, and it's probably unfortunately clear whose side Viktor Orbán is on – he continued.

10:25

Sikorski Appeals:

I Don't Have Hostages to Exchange. You're Traveling at Your Own Risk.

- As you know, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has repeatedly appealed not to travel to certain regions of the world. There are countries like Iran, Belarus, and Russia that simply take citizens of Western countries hostage. And I will say bluntly to those who might disregard our recommendations: I don't have hostages to exchange. You are traveling at your own risk. We also appeal not to travel to dangerous areas. I agree with Prime Minister Meloni's appeal on this matter - stated Radosław Sikorski at a press briefing in Gdańsk.

10:40

Sasin:

We are witnessing the downfall and decline of Hołownia's political career

- I sincerely doubt he will [Szymon Hołownia become a UN commissioner]. However, I think that, speaking seriously, because the entire operation seems quite unserious to me on Szymon Hołownia's part, we are witnessing the downfall and decline of Szymon Hołownia's political career. Suddenly, his success, one might say, emerged from nowhere in politics, because of course he was known, but in show business. Someone had the idea to promote him as the leader of a party that would be a bit of a deception towards voters. It would attract voters who wouldn't go to PO, wouldn't go to PSL, and would draw them to this camp which wanted to seize power in Poland. Hołownia truly managed to play this role - stated Jacek Sasin on TV Republika.

- He became unnecessary, especially from the moment he started challenging Tusk, who was supposed to be the undisputed [leader]. It was a deception from the very beginning, because after all, from the start, Hołownia practically said that it was only and exclusively with PO and Tusk, rejecting a coalition with PiS. So the very idea of Trzecia Droga was a deception, but they managed to fool quite a significant portion of Poles - he continued.

- A decision was made [after the presidential elections] to eliminate him from politics. And Hołownia allowed himself to be eliminated from politics - he noted.

10:42

Sasin:

You opposed the mafia, the mafia will finish you off. And the mafia is finishing off Hołownia

- Indeed, [Szymon Hołownia] prevented a coup d'état. This is absolutely true, it was being prepared, they wanted to do it, to effectively invalidate the choice of Poles. He opposed it, but he didn't draw the right conclusions. Meaning he assumed that one could still play by normal rules with such plotters, but that's not the case. You opposed the mafia, the mafia will simply finish you off. That's how this system works. And the mafia is finishing off Szymon Hołownia, but he is letting himself be finished off - stated Jacek Sasin on TV Republika.

10:48

Sasin:

If Hołownia had convinced even some of his MPs, he would still be Marshal

- If Szymon Hołownia had convinced even some of his MPs not to support his removal as Marshal of the Sejm, he would still be Marshal. He would be dictating terms, because the Marshal of the Sejm plays a huge role in the Polish system. It's a truly important position - stated Jacek Sasin on TV Republika.

11:30

PiS Submits a Draft Amendment to the Act on the Defence of the Homeland:

To Break the Helplessness of the Minister of National Defence

- We wanted to present [...] our draft amendment to the act, which in our deep conviction will overcome the crisis in the finances of the Ministry of National Defence - said Mariusz Błaszczak at a press conference.

- To break the helplessness of the Minister of National Defence, we are submitting a draft amendment to the Act on the Defence of the Homeland to the Sejm, clarifying the regulations. The current regulations already allow for the repayment of the debt of the Armed Forces Support Fund from sources other than just the budget of the Ministry of National Defence, but since Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz is so helpless, we are clarifying it in this way: that the liabilities arising from the Armed Forces Support Fund can only be repaid from outside the budget of the Ministry of National Defence - he continued.

- In this way, we will break Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz's helplessness, but it is also a test for the current Minister of National Defence, whether he will be able to stand up to Donald Tusk in the name of the interests of the Republic of Poland, in the name of the interests of the Polish Army, in the name of the security of our homeland - he went on to say.

11:30

Tusk in Copenhagen:

We Have an Incident Near the Port of Szczecin.

- I have received a message from Warsaw. We have another incident near Szczecin, the port of Szczecin. Two days ago, there was an incident near our Petrobaltic platform and our pipeline. These are both Russian ships and new incidents in our region, in the Baltic Sea region, every week, in fact, every day [simultaneous translation by TVN24] - stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk in Copenhagen.

12:35

Tusk to Orbán:

In Such Times, the Only Question is Which Side You're On.

- Prime Minister, it was Russia that started the war with Ukraine. It was they who decided that we live in a time of war. And in such times, the only question is which side you're on - wrote Prime Minister Donald Tusk, addressing the Prime Minister of Hungary.

13:38

Trzaskowski's Proposal for a Nighttime Alcohol Sales Ban Across All of Warsaw by March at the Latest

- We are accelerating this because we hear these demands, we have also seen what has been happening in public debate, everyone is drawing conclusions from this, which I am very happy about. That is why this extraordinary session is being held, to speed up this first stage by November 1st, and later, quite literally, I think, within 3 months, by March at the latest, my proposal for the entire city will be in place - said Rafał Trzaskowski at a press conference.

13:57

PiS Proposes Local Referendum on Alcohol Sales Restrictions in Warsaw. We Know the Questions

- Marcin Kierwiński showed Rafał Trzaskowski who is in charge in Warsaw, but he did it on an issue that concerns many residents, which worries many Warsaw residents, and we want an issue that is so important to them to be resolved constructively - said Sebastian Kaleta at a press conference.

- For today's extraordinary session, Warsaw's PiS proposes the following solutions: firstly, we propose that the restriction on night-time alcohol sales should apply to those districts that have expressed such a will in previous consultations, these are 4 districts: Śródmieście, Praga-Północ, Ochota, and Bielany - he continued.

- We are proposing today a draft resolution of the Warsaw Capital City Council to call a local referendum for November 16, in which Warsaw residents would answer two questions - he went on to say.

The questions in the referendum proposed by PiS are as follows:

1. Do you support the introduction of a restriction on night-time alcohol sales throughout the area of the Capital City of Warsaw, consisting of a ban on the sale of alcoholic beverages intended for consumption off the premises between 11 PM and 6 AM?

2. Do you support the introduction of a restriction on night-time alcohol sales in your district, consisting of a ban on the sale of alcoholic beverages intended for consumption off the premises between 11 PM and 6 AM?

14:24

Trzaskowski at the Warsaw City Council on introducing a night-time alcohol sales ban:

Yes, we made the decision together with KO councillors

- Yes, together with KO, we made the decision with KO councillors to cover the entire capital city with a restriction on night-time alcohol sales. I will immediately clarify that this concerns shops and petrol stations. At the latest, this ban will cover the entire city by June 1st next year. This is the most important point - stated Rafał Trzaskowski during the Warsaw City Council session.

- Regarding the decisions that lie ahead of us - yes, we are deciding to introduce the first stage in two districts, namely Śródmieście and Praga-Północ - he continued.

15:22

Kosiniak-Kamysz Announces Purchase of New Missiles: Only Poland and the US Will Have Access

- I convened the steering committee as a matter of urgency, and today it unanimously confirmed Poland's purchase of the latest radar-guided AMRAAM D version missiles, air-to-air missiles for F-35 aircraft. We are purchasing these aircraft and the latest version of AMRAAM missiles, the purchase of which we have been granted the possibility of by the United States Congress. Poland is the only country receiving the opportunity to purchase this armament, and Poland will fulfill this commitment within the specified deadline, by December 10th, when the relevant commitments and agreements are to be signed. There is no problem with financing this purchase; it will be realized from the Armed Forces Support Fund - said Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz.

- This consent from the United States Congress and our acceptance today of the possibility for further negotiations. Consequently, the contract for the purchase of AMRAAM missiles will be signed before the end of this year, so that we are better equipped, so that F-35 aircraft are the best in the world, because only Poland and the United States will currently have access to these D version missiles. We will take advantage of this - the Minister of National Defence continued.

15:45

Kosiniak-Kamysz:

I Consistently Support Hołownia

- I consistently support Szymon Hołownia in his mission to run for a very important position for Poland, that of the UN High Representative for Migration, meaning for refugees. This is a very important matter; we have never had such a role for Poland. We have never had a Pole in such an important position. I know it's a difficult mission, I congratulate him on the courage to fill out the application, and I am glad that the President, the Prime Minister, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, meaning everyone who can be involved in this process, and myself if the opportunity arises, will support this candidacy - said Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz.

15:46

Kosiniak-Kamysz on the Deputy Prime Minister for Poland 2050:

It’s a Matter of Coalition Discussion. Everything Can Be Settled After the Change in the Marshal’s Position

- This is a matter for coalition discussion. I like to report on facts. For now, we have Deputy Prime Minister Gawkowski, Deputy Prime Minister Sikorski, and I have my area of activity in this regard. The Prime Minister decides on this in coalition talks. I think everything can be settled after the change that will take place based on the coalition agreement regarding the Marshal's position. I am always open to discussion - said Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz.

16:53

Prime Minister Reports "Incident Near Szczecin Port". MSWiA Provides Details: Russian Trawler Near Pipeline

- What Prime Minister Donald Tusk mentioned today is another stage, another location in this undeclared, yet significantly painful war that we are waging with Russia. I use strong words: war. We have recently recorded several serious incidents at sea. [...] We had these incidents on the eastern border. We are coping. The Belarusian services, the Russian services are helpless there [...], they are trying other options. We note these actions of the Russian services - said Jacek Dobrzyński, spokesperson for the Minister-Coordinator of Special Services.

70-meter Russian Trawler

As Karolina Gałecka, spokesperson for the Ministry of Interior and Administration (MSWiA), informed: - Yesterday, around 6:30-7:00 AM, such an incident occurred. The Border Guard, through its observation systems, noticed a Russian trawler. This trawler was sailing, of course, from the direction of Russia. [...] The Border Guard closely monitored the trawler because it was in very close proximity to the gas pipeline.

- It drifted around 300 meters near the gas pipeline, through which gas is extracted from the platform to the land. [...] Around 6:30, the vessel stopped near the pipeline for about 20 minutes - she stated.

As she recounted: - The Border Guard immediately took action. Through the radio system, they contacted the vessel. [...] The order was immediate for the Border Guard, which was to immediately leave the pipeline area. And so it happened. The vessel, the crew, complied with this order, leaving the pipeline area. Everything ended safely.

- It was a 70-meter Russian trawler. I would not like to reveal information here about which pipeline it is, or which location - she added.

19:49

Czarzasty:

I Truly Believe in This Coalition, It Will Lead to the Next Term

- I truly believe in this coalition that exists. I believe there will be two good years, I believe there will be the next term. I will defend both my formation and the other formations that make up this coalition, because I believe that stability is in the interest of the state and is the raison d'état - said Włodzimierz Czarzasty in an interview with Piotr Marciniak on "Fakty po Faktach" on TVN24.

19:49

Bochenek:

Regarding the taxation of banks, which are currently making gigantic profits, PiS will absolutely support such a solution.

- The government is trying to implement various taxes through various tricks and backdoors. Of course, regarding the taxation of banks, which are currently making gigantic profits, PiS will certainly support such a solution. - said Rafał Bochenek in an interview with Marcin Fijołek in "Gość Wydarzeń" Polsat News.

- The question is what it will look like in detail, whether there will be any hidden catches that will lead to ordinary citizens actually bearing the costs of these taxes and these legislative solutions - emphasized the PiS spokesperson.

- We will, of course, observe these solutions. We are a party of social justice, social solidarity, and we believe that yes: banks today have far too large, record profits - he added.

19:53

Czarzasty on the Deputy Prime Minister Position for Pełczyńska-Nałęcz:

There's No Such Clause in the Coalition Agreement,"but 'We Have Nothing Against It.

- Firstly, there is no such clause in the coalition agreement that Poland 2050 is entitled to a Deputy Prime Minister - Włodzimierz Czarzasty stated on TVN24, when asked if Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz would become a Deputy Prime Minister.

- Secondly, as far as I and the formation I represent are concerned, we have nothing against it, because the stabilization of this formation is far more important than whether there will be two, three, or four Deputy Prime Ministers - he continued.

- Thirdly, in this matter, I believe that the Prime Minister should have the decisive say - he added.

19:58

Czarzasty on Poland 2050's Vote Regarding the Presidential Project on CPK:

Some Things Must Be Forgiven.

- I believe it was not a reasonable decision. [...] The role of the president is not to govern the country. The role of the government is to govern the country. Therefore, I believe that this type of law and these types of proposals should be presented by the government, and government proposals should be implemented - said Włodzimierz Czarzasty on TVN24, when asked about Poland 2050's vote regarding the presidential project on CPK.

- Some things must be forgiven, one must have distance from certain things, one must build the future - he continued.

20:03

Pełczyńska-Nałęcz on the Verbal Agreement Regarding a Deputy Prime Minister for Poland 2050:

We Assume Everyone Will Adhere to the Agreements.

- There is a coalition agreement. A verbal agreement. We assume that everyone will adhere to the agreements, and the agreement was that each party would now have a Deputy Prime Minister, and that Poland 2050, after Marshal Hołownia steps down, will have a Deputy Marshal and a Deputy Prime Minister – stated Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz on TVN24's “Kropka nad i” (The Dot Over the i).

20:05

Bochenek:

In a crisis, regardless of circumstances, the Polish state should always stand firm behind its citizens and provide aid.

- We believe that in such a crisis situation, regardless of circumstances, the Polish state should always stand firm behind its citizens and provide assistance. Especially when the life and health of citizens are threatened. This is our position, and we have always acted this way when we were in power. In situations of threats, uncertainty, especially abroad, that our citizens faced, the PiS government tried to react effectively - said Rafał Bochenek in "Gość Wydarzeń" on Polsat News.

- We certainly believe that Polish citizens should be helped. If there were a need, in a situation of life and health threat, to transport them back to Poland, it is the role of the Polish state to provide such assistance - he stated.

Pełczyńska-Nałęcz:

Sikorski is not a Deputy Prime Minister in the coalition agreement. We agreed to that, and that's the agreement.

- There were coalition talks, there were agreements. Among these agreements, a decision was made that PO would also have a Deputy Prime Minister. After all, the coalition agreement does not include Deputy Prime Minister Sikorski as Deputy Prime Minister. We agreed to that, and that is the agreement - stated Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz on TVN24's "Kropka nad i" (Point Over I).

Czarzasty:

I Believe in a United Left-Wing List. Views? Zandberg Differs From Me Only in His Stance Towards the Government

- I believe in the consolidation of the left, I believe in a united left-wing list, I believe in a united list of both New Left, PPS, Labour Union, Razem party, Ms. Senyszyn and Ms. Senyszyn's supporters – Włodzimierz Czarzasty said on TVN24.

- In the last presidential elections, 10% of society voted for people with left-wing views. Therefore, there is an electorate that holds views like ours, or we hold views like these people – he continued.

- Little by little, drop by drop, I will persuade, I will show that the D'Hondt system works in one way and not another. Adrian Zandberg is actually no different from me in terms of views, or I from him, except that we have a different attitude towards the government – he went on to say.

Pełczyńska-Nałęcz:

Without Poland 2050, There Is No Coalition

- Without Poland 2050, there is no coalition, no government of October 15th, no coalition of October 15th. We are a loyal, honest, and partner-like part of this coalition. We respect all agreements, just as we committed to - stated Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz on TVN24's "Kropka nad i" (The Dot Over the 'i').

Pełczyńska-Nałęcz Asked About Running for Leader of Poland 2050:

It's Still Too Early.

- These elections [in Poland 2050] will take place in 3 months. That is really still a moment. I believe it is still too early, at this moment we are undergoing a government reconstruction, because this reconstruction has not yet finished, so let's finish the government reconstruction - stated Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz on TVN24's "Kropka nad i" (The Dot Over the i).

Czarzasty:

We've had very good talks with PSL on partnership unions. There will be a reasonable compromise

- Partnership unions, we've had very good talks on this matter with the Polish People's Party (PSL), with Władek Kosiniak-Kamysz, with Piotr Zgorzelski, Krzysztof Gawkowski and myself - said Włodzimierz Czarzasty on TVN24, when asked about issues that New Left (Nowa Lewica) has not managed to address within the coalition it co-created.

- There will be a compromise on this issue, a reasonable one, but it's like with widow's pensions, we started with 25% of the second benefit, and we'll end up at 50%. We will begin creating legislation for partnership unions - he continued.

Pełczyńska-Nałęcz on the UN Position for Hołownia:

It's Not Easy, There's Very High Competition.

- It's not easy. There's very high competition [for the UN commissioner position], so the chances are not 100%, far from 100%, but if it works out, it will be a very big gain for Poland. Yes, certainly [Polska 2050 will survive without Szymon Hołownia] - stated Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz on TVN24's "Kropka nad i".

Bochenek on the Situation in the PiS Sejmik Club in Lower Silesia:

The Issue Has Been Brewing for Some Time.

- No one has been expelled yet. Regarding party membership, these individuals, these councillors, these local government officials from the Lower Silesian regional assembly have been suspended pending clarification of an issue that has been brewing for some time and has led to these decisions - Rafał Bochenek stated on "Gość Wydarzeń" on Polsat News.

- The matter is being analyzed by the appropriate statutory bodies, the disciplinary ombudsman. Of course, decisions regarding the future of these individuals within the PiS structures will be made at the appropriate time - he continued.

- It is the domain of our political formation that we resolve certain matters amongst ourselves, face-to-face [...], this is what a certain political culture demands. [...] The issue has a somewhat longer temporal context as well, it has been brewing for some time - he stated.

As he explained: - It has occurred - probably, because of course this will be investigated - there is suspicion that certain internal party rules may have been broken concerning the operation, functioning, and cooperation within the PiS club.
