What Will Be the Most Important Part of the President's UN Speech? Andruszkiewicz Responds

- I don't think it will be a surprise when I say that security, yes, this is absolutely a fundamental and priority issue for us today on the international stage to be raised by President Karol Nawrocki - said Adam Andruszkiewicz in an interview with Wiktor Świetlik in the program "Poranny Ring," when asked what will be the most important part of the president's speech at the UN.

- Poland, we know its geopolitical position, it's not a very comfortable position, colloquially speaking, frankly speaking, because we have a conflict at our borders and the recent drone attack, or perhaps drone and missile attack, on Poland, actually shows that we must warn the world about what is happening and we must also strongly shape the Polish stance - he continued.

08:11

Andruszkiewicz on Sikorski:

He Focuses Too Much on Likes from the Strong Together Faction, and Too Little on Poland.

- Radosław Sikorski is constantly provoking the President, for example, with his strange videos on X where he publicly lectures the President on what to say and what to do while in the United States, through some such remarks as him issuing us instructions here - said Adam Andruszkiewicz in the program "Poranny Ring" (Morning Ring).

- This is a bit unserious politics, meaning, I have the impression that Deputy Prime Minister Radosław Sikorski is focusing too much on getting a lot of likes on X from the strong together faction, and a bit too little on thinking about Poland in all of this - he continued.

08:17

Andruszkiewicz:

Let Sikorski Not Engage in Attacking the President, He's Not in His League

- The President does not engage in current party politics. Moreover, it's evident, there are no statements from President Karol Nawrocki regarding current inter-party matters. He doesn't get involved in that; he wants to serve Poland. Meanwhile, Mr. Sikorski is trying to drag us into his games, but in my opinion, he is only embarrassing himself - said Adam Andruszkiewicz on the program "Poranny Ring" (Morning Ring).

- He responds, but on a level that can be described as state-level, not partisan; it's a slightly higher level, and the President, above all, does not wish to be lectured by Mr. Sikorski, because Mr. Sikorski is not the one to do so - he continued, when asked if the President adheres to the principle of not responding to attacks.

- Here, President Karol Nawrocki has a direct social mandate; he was elected in direct elections. His superior, in this sense, so to speak, is the nation and the Constitution - he went on to say.

- Mr. Sikorski has his superiors, he has Mr. Tusk, he has things to do, he has an office, and he is also presumably a national politician, so let him deal with that, not with attacking the President, because, to put it bluntly, he is not playing in the same league - he added.

08:24

Wipler on Potential Escalation:

I Wouldn't Be So Reckless.

- I wouldn't be so reckless, because this is an announcement that Poland is ready for war, for further escalation of this conflict, because shooting down an aircraft in which a Russian pilot dies, even during a provocation, can be a reason for escalation and further aggressive actions - stated Przemysław Wipler on PR3.

08:30

Adam Andruszkiewicz on the Ambassadorial Appointment: 'Stubbornly Sticking with Mr. Klich Won't Help Poland in Any Way'

- It is absolutely hard to imagine that in a country of nearly 40 million people, the current government is unable to appoint a person to the office of ambassador in the most important country for us, someone who hasn't made statements against the current authorities of the United States and who simultaneously possesses some basic diplomatic and linguistic competencies to hold such an office - said Adam Andruszkiewicz on the program "Poranny Ring".

- Stubbornly sticking with Mr. Klich, who we know what 'wise' theses he proclaimed in the past, 'wise' in quotation marks, of course, I am being ironic now, against the Donald Trump administration, will not help us in any way as Poland - he continued.

- This is not a vacation; someone must be sent there who will have the right to serve the Polish state well, not to stubbornly insist on someone who simply doesn't have such capabilities - he further stated.

08:32

Wipler:

I would appeal not to escalate

- I would appeal to not escalate, not increase the risk that Poland might find itself in a state of war due to someone wanting to play Cossack or fool around - stated Przemysław Wipler in PR3.

08:37

Wipler on Bosacki's Statement:

We All Saw That Very Serious Communication Errors Were Made.

- This discussion should be closed. We all saw that very serious communication errors were made, that Minister Bosacki certainly did not know that it was a Polish missile that hit that house, because otherwise he would not have shown a picture of that house as damaged by Russian drones at the UN, exposing himself to a counterattack from the propaganda side, from the Russians, so this communication was fatal - stated Przemysław Wipler in PR3.

08:42

Wipler on the Nationwide Ban on Nighttime Alcohol Sales:

I Will Not Vote, We Are Against Bans.

- I will not vote [for a nationwide ban on nighttime alcohol sales] because we libertarians are against bans and against the state educating citizens with commands and prohibitions. That's it, we believe it shouldn't be like this. This is an attempt to find a point of contention with Civic Platform following the events that took place in Warsaw - stated Przemysław Wipler in PR3.

08:42

"It Doesn't Reflect the President's Social Mandate." Andruszkiewicz: We Will Have to Sit Down and Write a New Constitution

- I think there will be many initiatives. Firstly, there will be legal initiatives, and I think we will also have to sit down and address the issue of writing a new Constitution in Poland, because the current one has become completely outdated, it is vague, and in many places, in our opinion, it also does not reflect the social mandate that the president has, for instance, in his prerogatives. Therefore, constitutional matters are certainly extremely important to us - said Adam Andruszkiewicz in the program "Poranny Ring", when asked about the most important initiatives one can expect from the president in the near future.

- Certainly, issues such as economic and social, and infrastructural matters, these have already been presented to parliament - he continued.

09:11

Jaki on Morawiecki:

A Lack of Reflection is Visible in Him.

- I think it’s mainly about how to arrange his relations with the European Union. In the case of the former Prime Minister [Mateusz Morawiecki], one can see a lack of reflection that seems to be present among a large portion of aware voters, and that is the most painful aspect - said Patryk Jaki in an interview with Jacek Prusinowski on Radio Plus’s “Sedno Sprawy” (The Essence of the Matter).

- So, the aim of such a debate [between Zbigniew Ziobro and Mateusz Morawiecki] after President Nawrocki’s victory would be to possibly indicate, meaning to make the entire milieu that cares about our vision of Poland aware, how to fight for this sovereignty. Because, after all, when we return to power, the issue of arranging relations with the EU will certainly return - he stated.

09:13

Wipler:

Kaczyński Saw This and Launched His Attack

- Jarosław Kaczyński saw that after the second round of the presidential elections, as a result of the presidential campaign, politicians from Konfederacja began to be presented in a positive light in pro-PiS media. They even remembered them on TV Republika and wPolscce, two media outlets associated with PiS and their information sphere. They saw that Grzegorz Braun says things that appeal to some viewers, and suddenly there were quite large flows from PiS to Braun's party. They saw that the older electorate was increasingly moving towards Konfederacja - stated Przemysław Wipler on PR3.

- Because when it comes to youth, almost no one votes for PiS there, and these young people started to influence their parents and grandparents. Suddenly they saw Mentzen, Bosak, and said: these guys are actually cool, they are younger, and in some matters they say similar things, they say them more clearly, less vaguely, so perhaps they should be given a chance. And Jarosław Kaczyński saw this and launched his attack - he continued.

09:16

Wipler Asked About a Coalition with PiS After 2027:

I Am a Man of Great Imagination.

- I am a man of great imagination [regarding a coalition with PiS after 2027]. Two years... Who we will form a coalition with depends on our election results, how many MPs we will have in the next Sejm. Dividing the skin of a bear beforehand with anyone is indecent and is punished very harshly by voters - stated Przemysław Wipler on PR3.

09:19

Wipler:

I Cannot Imagine a Government with Kaczyński and Several Top Politicians from This Formation

- I cannot imagine a government in which Jarosław Kaczyński and several top politicians from this formation would be present, because they are, for our voters, to the extent they are able to agree on programmatic issues for some difficult cooperation, difficult collaborations, on an aesthetic level and based on the memory of personal decisions made by some politicians, they are indigestible - stated Przemysław Wipler on PR3.

09:21

Morawiecki for Prime Minister a Third Time? Jaki: He Could Be a Good Candidate for Deputy Prime Minister

- I believe we have many very good candidates. One of them, I think, is Tobiasz Bocheński, Przemysław Czarnek. So we have really good candidates who could bring some freshness to our politics - said Patryk Jaki in Radio Plus's "Sedno Sprawy" (The Core of the Matter), when asked if he could imagine Mateusz Morawiecki becoming Prime Minister for a third time.

- He [Mateusz Morawiecki] is a candidate, he could certainly be good as a Deputy Prime Minister, especially in the areas of economy or development. However, when it comes to matters concerning the European Union or constitutional issues, it's evident… It's not that someone made mistakes, but one can see a lack of complete reflection in what he says - he assessed.

09:36

Morawiecki Prime Minister Again? Jaki: If There Is No Reflection on the Policy He Pursued, I Don't Think So

- Could Mateusz Morawiecki not be Prime Minister again? Is that the opinion of Patryk Jaki and, as I understand it, the former United Poland? - Jacek Prusinowski asked on Radio Plus's "The Core of the Matter".

- It is known that the leader of our camp will have the most important voice here. However, we would probably try to convince them that if there is no reflection on the policy Morawiecki pursued, then I don't think so - Patryk Jaki replied.

09:44

Jaki addresses Konfederacja:

Do you want to form a coalition with PO, meaning people who ban the sale of combustion engine cars?

- It is known that EU policy, pursued by Civic Platform (PO) currently, leads to a ban on the sale of combustion engine cars. And this is a scandal because it causes cars to become increasingly expensive. […] And on the other hand, the possibility of forming a coalition with them, meaning with PO, is being allowed - said Patryk Jaki in "The Heart of the Matter" on Radio Plus.

- We want clarity on this matter, meaning we want Konfederacja to take a stand. Do you want to form a coalition with these people who are banning the sale of combustion engine cars, or not? Because if you do, we think it would be good for the voters to know about it - he indicated.

09:56

Jaki:

Kaczyński is Naturally the Most Important Right-Wing Politician in Poland

- The most important right-wing politician in Poland is naturally Jarosław Kaczyński, the party leader. There is no doubt about that. He leads the largest political camp in Poland, which has the most parliamentarians and is currently the strongest according to average poll results - said Patryk Jaki in "Sedno sprawy" on Radio Plus.

- On the other hand, President Nawrocki is undoubtedly, as he is already showing, an excellent choice. He is performing his duties excellently and has a future ahead of him, perhaps also within the party. But for now, it's evident that he does not want to pursue such politics - he continued.

10:08

PiS-Confederation Coalition? Jaki: If there's no other option, we'll probably consider it

- If there is no other possibility, then we will probably consider it [a coalition with Confederation]. However, the best option for Poland would be an independent, yet stable government led by the Prime Minister and the President, especially in such a difficult international situation - said Patryk Jaki in the "Sedno Sprawy" (The Essence of the Matter) program on Radio Plus.

10:56

Tusk:

Next Year, Polish Railways Will Transport More People Than Live in the Entire EU

- This year, next year, and the year after that will be absolutely record-breaking, in the best sense of the word, years for Polish railways. It's hard to believe sometimes, and these numbers can make your head spin. For example, in July of this year, in July alone, Polish railways transported as many people as roughly the number of Polish citizens. Over 36 million people. If we know that next year we will transport more people by Polish railways than live in the entire EU, it gives an idea of how much Polish railways have developed and are dynamically developing - stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk at the TRAKO International Railway Fair.

10:59

Tusk:

Railways Will Be an Absolute Priority for the Polish Government

- Our obsession is that railways become the most accessible means of transport for all Polish women and men, and we will not hesitate to invest all our energy and all available resources into this. I can solemnly pledge to you, the managers, railway workers, and local government officials here, that railways will be an absolute priority for the Polish government. At least for the next few years - stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk at the TRAKO International Railway Fair.

11:02

Tusk on High-Speed Rail:

We will ambitiously aim for the project.

- We will ambitiously aim for the project, and I'm not talking about the distant future, but I'm talking about today, tomorrow, the day after tomorrow, about this ambitious project which is High-Speed Rail. This highest speed in Europe, meaning over 300 km/h, and we can truly try, as Poland, as Poles, and this isn't about sporting ambition, because it will also have a direct impact on the development of railways, industry, jobs, and also on the comfort and satisfaction of passengers on Polish railways, so let's try to make this dream a reality as soon as possible - stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk at the TRAKO International Railway Fair.

11:06

Tusk at the International Railway Fair:

I'm Throwing Down a Challenge.

- "I'm throwing down a sincere challenge, gentlemen CEOs. We will be announcing this historic order for High-Speed Rail in the coming hours and days, and I completely exclude the absence of companies like [Newag or Pesa] from my thinking in this competition. Let this be a noble, perhaps ruthless but also noble, competition, because Polish companies must be the leading partners in this historic undertaking, one way or another," stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk at the TRAKO International Railway Fair.

- "I invite you to this great endeavor. Compete for this historic order; its scale will be truly impressive," he continued.

11:12

Morawiecki’s New Campaign Spot:

The Government is Indebting Poland to Fund Foreign Interests

- It’s never been this bad. Poles are increasingly feeling the effects of Donald Tusk’s disastrous government. Young people are having significant trouble finding work, Polish companies are being excluded from national contracts, strategic investments have significantly slowed down, and Tusk’s government is plunging Poland into a debt spiral – says the narrator in a spot published by Mateusz Morawiecki.

- Public debt will reach almost 67% of GDP next year. A trillion złoty in additional debt in just 2 years. And what’s worse, this money isn’t going to Polish businesses. It’s going to foreign corporations that are winning specially crafted tenders for infrastructure or defense projects – the narrator continues.

- During our government, billions went to municipalities and counties, to family businesses. They strengthened the local economy and created jobs. The current government is indebting Poland to fund foreign interests, and Poles are paying the bill. This is not development, it is the disintegration of the Polish state, and Donald Tusk is its author – he concludes.

12:30

Błaszczak:

All Indications Suggest F-35 Jets for Poland Will Be Unarmed

- For several weeks, I have been presenting you with information [...] that the Minister of Finance has obligated the Minister of National Defence to cover liabilities arising from the Armed Forces Support Fund [...] exclusively from the budget of the Ministry of National Defence. The Minister of National Defence did not oppose this type of decision - Mariusz Błaszczak said at a press conference.

- This decision leads to the bankruptcy of the Ministry of National Defence within the next few years, and now we have confirmation that, based on this decision, all indications suggest that the F-35 aircraft we ordered in 2020, which will arrive in Poland next year, will be unarmed - he continued.

- The Minister of Finance has obligated the Minister of National Defence to finance the purchase of air-to-air missiles for the F-35 aircraft exclusively from the state budget. [...] The General Staff stated that this is not possible due to the involvement of the Ministry of National Defence's budget in other modernization processes of the Polish army - he went on to say.

12:44

Błaszczak on 40 Billion Euros for Poland from the SAFE Program:

This Sum is Inadequate for Our Needs.

"The government of Donald Tusk is boasting about securing over 40 billion euros from the SAFE fund, which is a European Union fund. However, it should be noted that out of 150 billion euros, only over 40 will go to Poland, and we are a country situated on the eastern flank of the North Atlantic Alliance, a country exposed to various types of Russian provocations. Therefore, this sum is inadequate for our needs," - said Mariusz Błaszczak at a press conference.

12:47

Błaszczak:

The Way Funds from the SAFE Program Are Spent Should Be Decided in Parliament with Presidential Involvement

- According to EU regulations, applications for funding from this fund [SAFE] must be submitted by November of this year, and these applications are to be processed by May of next year. There is very little time - said Mariusz Błaszczak at a press conference.

- These funds are loans. This is a loan that we will have to repay, the Polish state will have to repay, therefore it is important that these funds are spent properly, in a considered manner - he continued.

- We believe that these funds, the way they are spent, should be decided in the Parliament of the Republic of Poland with the participation of the President of the Republic of Poland - he went on to say.

12:53

Błaszczak on Funds from the SAFE Program:

They Should Be Designated for Drone Factories, to Benefit Polish Armaments Industry,

- Another matter: what these funds [from the SAFE program] should be spent on. They should be spent, above all, on drones, on unmanned aerial vehicles. Ukraine uses approximately 150 types of various drones that are employed on the battlefield; today we are at the stage of a drone war, although let's remember that this war has had several earlier stages, and one must not, for example, claim [...] that drones will defend us against an attack from Russia - said Mariusz Błaszczak at a press conference.

- The Polish Army also needs heavy weapons, it needs tanks, it needs artillery; all of this is necessary, and therefore one must not go from one extreme to another - he continued.

- But these funds, I propose this thesis, should be designated for drone factories - he went on to say.

- Drones should be ordered from Polish plants, from Polish manufacturers. These funds should go to the Polish armaments industry. Unfortunately, there is a serious risk that these funds will go to Germany, for the reconstruction of the German armaments industry. If that were to happen, it would be very bad, it would be disastrous. Therefore, parliament must have oversight over how these funds are spent - he added.

13:16

Błaszczak Asked About His Assessment of Sikorski's Words at the UN Security Council:

I Didn't Listen to the Speech.

- I believe that Minister Sikorski is poorly fulfilling his role as Minister of Foreign Affairs by attacking the President of the Republic. In my opinion, it was very characteristic how he attacked President Nawrocki for firmly and resolutely raising the issue of reparations from Germany. This is unacceptable - Mariusz Błaszczak said at a press conference, when asked how he assessed Minister Sikorski's speech at the UN Security Council and whether he would endorse it.

- I did not listen to Minister Sikorski's speech - he continued, when pressed further about the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' address.

13:39

Lewica Pushes for Nationwide Nighttime Alcohol Ban: A Bill is Introduced

Lewica has submitted a bill to the Sejm titled 'Stop Alko Lobby'. The proposal includes, among other things, a ban on the nighttime sale of alcohol nationwide (from 10 PM to 6 AM); a ban on 'alcohol price manipulation' and promotions like '12 + 12'; a complete ban on alcohol advertising, including beer; a ban on sales at fuel stations; and regulation of online sales to only allow for personal collection upon presentation of an ID document.

- At present, our emergency rooms are turning into sobering-up stations. Instead of treating the sick, they are admitting drunk offenders. Do we really want this? […] Drunk drivers mean death on our roads, they mean our loved ones who die. […] It's time to really put an end to this - said Joanna Wicha, a Lewica MP and representative of the proponents.

- We believe this issue should be above party politics, above all politics. We are talking about alcohol, about the intoxication of Polish society, we are talking about something that should have an end - said Włodzimierz Czarzasty in turn.

Czarzasty Appeals to Coalition Partners, PiS, and Konfederacja

- I want to speak very warmly about Poland 2050. Thank you, colleagues, […] for thinking similarly, for likely supporting it with your own project as well. […] I also want to thank […] Mr. Donald Tusk for his words yesterday regarding alcoholism in Poland and the fact that something finally needs to be done about it. Donald, Władek, Szymon - let's do it - continued the Deputy Marshal of the Sejm.

- But to be clear, I also ask for the support of the PiS club, the Konfederacja club, and thus those who matter in the Sejm - he appealed.

13:40

Błaszczak:

Regarding Alcohol Sales, Decisions Should Be Made by Local Communities in Referendums

- Regarding alcohol sales, these decisions should be made through referendums by the local community; I believe such a solution is the best - said Mariusz Błaszczak at a press conference, when asked if PiS would vote for the Left's draft bill concerning, among other things, a ban on alcohol sales at night.

13:41

Błaszczak:

We're Dealing with the Embarrassment of Warsaw's Authorities. It Seems Kierwiński is in Charge

- We're dealing with a certain embarrassment of Warsaw's authorities [regarding alcohol sales restrictions], the question is who rules in Warsaw, Rafał Trzaskowski or Marcin Kierwiński? It appears to be Kierwiński - said Mariusz Błaszczak at a press conference.

14:19

Border Crossings with Belarus Reopened: Tusk Announces Decision During Government Meeting

- I wanted to inform you that a decision has been made, jointly with the head of the Ministry of Interior and Administration, who will issue the relevant regulation for the reopening of railway and road border crossings today, shortly. These are the ones that were closed in connection with the ZAPAD maneuvers and, understandably, due to the increased threat and political and actual instability at our borders, in our region. As you know, the ZAPAD exercises have concluded. Simultaneously, large-scale allied exercises were taking place in Poland, where we were present, along with the Minister of National Defence - stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk during the government meeting.

- We have concluded that this preventive measure has served its purpose, and of course, this tool remains in our hands. And if the need arises, if tensions increase or if aggressive behavior is exhibited by one of our neighbors, we will not hesitate to make the decision to close the border crossings again. However, at this moment, it appears that the direct reasons for the closure have ceased - the head of government continued.

- This means that within 24 hours, tomorrow at 0:00, in a day and a half, i.e., from Wednesday to Thursday midnight, the border crossings will be opened - Tusk emphasized.

15:38

Szefernaker After Meeting with Drone Companies:

Poland's Technological Experience Should Serve Border Security Systems.

"The Office of the President of the Republic of Poland also serves as an advisory base whose role is to cooperate with experts. Today, at the Presidential Palace, I led a meeting organized by the National Security Bureau (BBN) with technology companies dealing with drone and anti-drone systems. I thank Mr. Tomasz Rożek for his commitment in helping to organize the meeting" - Paweł Szefernaker wrote on X.

"These Polish companies hold great potential. They possess competencies and many years of experience, supported by numerous implementations and contracts worldwide. These experiences should be utilized in an era of evolving attack and defense techniques. Poland's technological experience should serve in building advanced security systems for our borders" - he continued in his post.

"The art of governing a state in an era of global transformations requires politicians and state administration to utilize this potential. In the coming weeks, together with the BBN, we will inform about further actions" - he emphasized.

15:56

Sikorski Publishes Photo with Sikorski:

Time to Start the Session.

"Time to start the 80th session of the General Assembly!" - wrote the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Radosław Sikorski, publishing photos showing him sitting next to Karol Nawrocki.

16:12

Szłapka Asked About Government Reconstruction:

Certainly, Some More Changes Will Occur.

- The reconstruction that took place in July concerned ministers and heads of departments, and I believe that all related processes will be concluded in the near future, but I will not provide a specific date, whether it is this week or next. Certainly, some more changes will occur - stated Adam Szłapka at a press conference in the Chancellery of the Prime Minister.

- I think these will already be announcements from individual ministries - said the government spokesperson.

16:34

Borys Met with Poczobut:

I Wrote a Plea to the President of Belarus for the Release of Our Colleague.

- On behalf of the Union of Poles in Belarus and in my own name, I have written a plea to the President of Belarus for the release of our colleague Andrzej Poczobut. I also wrote a request for the opportunity to meet with Andrzej in the penal colony, as we are all very worried about his health. I received permission for a visit and today I met with Andrzej in the penal colony in Novopolotsk - Andżelika Borys wrote on Facebook.

- Andrzej sends his warmest regards to all, both friends and strangers. He feels mentally well, he is receiving medication. Thank you all for remembering him. He said that God will guide each person's path. I sincerely thank you for your remembrance. He also conveyed that the Union of Poles in Belarus is not for confrontation, but for preserving and caring for Polishness. I told Andrzej that there hasn't been a day when we in the Union of Poles, and not only, haven't prayed for him!!! I am currently on my way from Novopolotsk to Grodno - emphasized the chairperson of the Union of Poles in Belarus.

16:45

Government Report on TVP Scrapped After Criticism:

An Absolute Disgrace for the Commission.

- An absolute disgrace for the commission led by Ms. Sylwia Gregorczyk-Abram (involving, among others, Ms. Klementyna Suchanow). To write about one of the best and most decorated Polish journalists, Anna Gielewska (who exposed, among other things, Russian influence in Poland and the strange dealings of Daniel Obajtek, as well as PiS pathologies), that she worked for right-wing magazines and to place her in a report on media during the PiS era among PiS apparatchiks... one must have an understanding of media at the level of operating a photocopier – wrote editor Szymon Jadczak on social media.

The journalist was referring to the first report of the Commission on Repressions Against Civil Society in Public Media (2015-2023), which disappeared from government websites after criticism on social media and the highlighting of errors.

17:05

Ferry Terminal in Gdynia Handed Over Exclusively to Swedish Operator. Morawiecki Calls it a Scandal and Publishes a Graphic

- Let's focus EXCLUSIVELY on work, economic development, and restoring dignity to Poland - this is our common duty and the path to victory - wrote Mateusz Morawiecki on social media, publishing a graphic.

18:05

Bocheński on the Government's Decision Regarding the Border with Belarus:

It's Good That It Was Made.

- It seems so. On this matter, I initially supported the government's position when the government announced it, because I believed it certainly had some security information that indicated the border should be closed. However, I later developed some doubts on this issue because the ZAPAD exercises had ended, they were smaller than previous ones, and in what way would a closed border, meaning lowered barriers at the border, protect us and increase our security, in a situation where Polish entrepreneurs, specifically the logistics sector, were trapped on the Belarusian side and their property, i.e., vehicles, were at risk of seizure by the Belarusian government. It's good that this decision was made. I hope the government knows what it's doing, has a policy towards Belarus, and that these are not just shots for public consumption - stated Tobiasz Bocheński in an interview with Beata Lubecka on Radio Zet.

18:25

PiS Has Many Capable Individuals for the Role, Such as Czarnek or Jaki," Bocheński on the Future Prime Minister

- I haven't attended any Law and Justice party leadership meetings where such a matter was discussed. It's no secret that Vice-President Morawiecki often speaks of himself as a future prime minister, that such are his desires. I can say, however, that the Law and Justice environment has many individuals capable of tackling this kind of challenge, such as Przemysław Czarnek or Patryk Jaki. They might be a bit more modest and don't often speak about themselves in the media in terms of the premiership. This decision will be Prime Minister Kaczyński's decision, who has not yet determined his strategy - stated Tobiasz Bocheński on Radio Zet.

18:43

Bocheński on Signature Collection for a Referendum:

The Goal is to Overwhelm the Current Rulers with This Number.

- We are collecting signatures [for a referendum] on the issue of accepting immigrants. We are at a very good stage. We will communicate this soon. We have hundreds of thousands [of signatures]. Our goal is to overwhelm the current rulers with this number, who have always been proponents of accepting illegal immigrants - stated Tobiasz Bocheński on Radio Zet.

18:51

Przydacz Does Not Rule Out a "Brief Meeting" Between Nawrocki and Trump

- In the evening, American time, there will be a reception hosted by President Donald Trump and likely a brief meeting [of Karol Nawrocki] with the President of the United States himself. [...] I believe that after this conversation, we can be and will be convinced that Polish-American relations are developing well - said Marcin Przydacz at a press briefing in New York.

19:02

Przydacz:

It's Good that Sikorski is Speaking Firmly to Russia. We Remember Times When Lavrov Was Called "Dear Sergei"

- If you are asking for an assessment of this speech [by Radosław Sikorski at the UN Security Council forum] – of course, it is good that Minister Sikorski is now speaking firmly to Russia, because we remember that his policy towards Russia has varied over different periods. There were times when Sergei Lavrov was called "Dear Sergei" and invited to ambassadorial councils in Poland. So today, it is good, one must speak in a firm language towards Vladimir Putin – said Marcin Przydacz at a press briefing in New York.

Przydacz:

When the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Speaks the Truth and Uses Firm Language Towards Russia, It Gains Approval from the Presidential Palace

- We need to speak in a firm tone towards Vladimir Putin and, above all, we need to speak the truth as it is. Because any half-truth or untruth, as was the case with Mr. Bosacki's statement a few days ago, can later be used by Russian disinformation – said Marcin Przydacz at a press briefing in New York.

- So, when the Ministry of Foreign Affairs speaks the truth and uses strong, firm language towards Russia, it gains approval from the Presidential Palace on every occasion – he pointed out.

Szydło:

The Ambassador Dispute Must Be Resolved, But the Government Needs to Compromise

- The dispute over ambassadors should obviously be resolved, but here there must be compromise from the government's side. Sending, for example, the current head of mission in Washington was a mistake. I think this is the biggest problem we have at the moment – said Beata Szydło in an interview with Bogdan Rymanowski on Polsat News' "Gość Wydarzeń".

19:49

Szydło:

I believe Nawrocki will deliver a strong and impactful speech at the UN. Sikorski also had an equally good address.

- I'm keeping my fingers crossed for President Karol Nawrocki today. I believe he will have a very good and strong speech [at the UN General Assembly forum]. Minister Sikorski also had an equally good address, so I think this debate between them and this conversation is precisely a good moment to establish certain things - said Beata Szydło in "Gość Wydarzeń" on Polsat News.

Nowacka:

I Maintain My Stance That Health Education Should Be Compulsory

- We in the ministry believed, and I maintain this stance all the time, that this subject [health education] should be compulsory - said Barbara Nowacka in an interview with Diana Rudnik on TVN24's "Fakty po Faktach" (Facts after Facts).

19:55

Nowacka on why health education is not mandatory:

Even within the October 15th coalition, there was some apprehension and significant pressure.

- There was a lot of political turmoil. MPs from Konfederacja, PiS, and the Episcopate immediately jumped on it, because they found an opportunity to fuel... I think some of them simply don't want children to be aware of how not to be sexualized, how to defend themselves against unwanted touch, how to avoid pornography, how to counteract addiction; I cannot find any other explanation - Barbara Nowacka said on TVN24, when asked why she backed down from making health education mandatory.

- Even among us, my colleagues in the October 15th coalition, there was some apprehension and the pressure was indeed significant. And now, having to choose between saying: we won't have this subject at all, or saying: let's make it optional and see how it's received, let's give a chance at least to those who want to take advantage of it, I chose the latter option - she continued.

Nowacka:

I Accept All Accusations, But the One About a Politicized Curriculum is False

- I did not write the curriculum [for health education]. I accept all accusations, but the accusation that the curriculum is politicized is false. Doctors, specialists, for example, Dr. Lewandowska wrote it [...] when I read that she prepared a rehashed cutlet, I strongly urge you to review the materials again, which are her original work - said Barbara Nowacka on TVN24.

20:17

Szydło:

Konfederacja Must Decide. I Hear From Many of Their Politicians That They Wouldn't Mind a Coalition with PO

- Konfederacja must decide whether it truly wants to be a grouping that cares about going together in the direction that wants Poland to develop, that wants to implement Polish economic policy, and above all, to bring about the removal of Tusk from power - said Beata Szydło in "Gość Wydarzeń" on Polsat News.

- I hear from many politicians from Konfederacja that they are considering whether they wouldn't mind, even forming a coalition with PO. Well, if politicians like Mr. Mentzen talk about being in favour of privatizing healthcare, education, or even State Forests, supposedly, then we don't want to pursue such a policy - she indicated.

20:21

Nowacka:

The Church Lies About Health Education. One Can Wonder Who It Serves, Because Certainly Not Poland and Its Children

- There are circles that are very keen on children not receiving safe knowledge in school and want to make politics out of this subject. I simply oppose this - Barbara Nowacka said on TVN24.

- I am obligated to meet with the Episcopate, please remember that we simultaneously introduced another change, which is one religion class per week, not two, and at the first, at the last lesson. And this change obliged me to strive for an agreement with the Episcopate. The Episcopate was not interested in an agreement, but was interested in interfering with a subject that does not concern them at all, namely health education - she continued.

- This is exactly how it looked: when they heard about health education, the Episcopate suddenly got activated, with its actions, a letter, I sent [...] the core curriculum to the bishops so they could familiarize themselves with it [...] they didn't want to read it - she further stated, when asked if "it's 1:1, you give us religion, we give you health education?".

- It is sad that the Church lies on this topic. They simply speak untruths regarding the program. And if they approach children's health and safety in this way, to be honest, one can only shrug and wonder who they serve, because they certainly do not serve Poland and do not serve children - she added.

Ban on Nighttime Alcohol Sales? Nowacka: I Favor Significant Decentralization and Restrictive Regulations

- I am in favor of significant decentralization, so in fact, I would prefer for local governments to decide for themselves – said Barbara Nowacka on TVN24, when asked about the ban on nighttime alcohol sales.

- I am in favor of restrictive regulations regarding the limitation of alcohol sales at night – she continued.

20:26

Szydło:

It cannot be the case that Confederation politicians will blackmail us

- Today we have one goal: to win the elections. Our goal is, of course, to govern independently, but we are aware that it may be necessary to form a coalition – said Beata Szydło in "Gość Wydarzeń" on Polsat News.

- However, it cannot be the case that at this moment Confederation politicians will, for example, blackmail us, saying either with them, or not at all, and they can choose between Civic Platform or us – she stressed.

20:31

Szydło:

I Hear Many Unrealistic Statements from Confederation Politicians

- Today, when I hear many statements from Confederation politicians, they are largely unrealistic because they stem from the fact that they have never governed. Today, they want to make this their advantage, but one must also have some experience and cannot talk about things that are impossible or unrealistic. One must keep their feet firmly on the ground - said Beata Szydło on Polsat News's "Gość Wydarzeń."

- Perhaps there will be some reflection from that side as well, which will cause them to look at certain matters differently - she added.

Trump Affirmative on Downing Russian Planes Violating Airspace. Sikorski: Roger That

During a joint press conference with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, Donald Trump responded affirmatively to a question about whether NATO countries should shoot down Russian planes if they violate their airspace.

- Roger that - commented Polish Minister of Foreign Affairs Radosław Sikorski on Trump's statement.
