At 9:30 AM, Prime Minister Donald Tusk will participate in the opening of the spring edition of the European Forum for New Ideas, themed “The Future of Work, the Work of the Future.”

At 10:00 AM, a press conference will take place in Warsaw with the participation of PiS Vice-Chairman, MP Mateusz Morawiecki, and MPs Anna Kwiecień, Anna Pieczarka, and Magdalena Filipiak-Sobczak.

At 10:30 AM, a press conference will be held with the Marshal of the Sejm and Poland 2050 presidential candidate, Szymon Hołownia, who will summarize the current stage of his campaign tour in a studio format and reveal what he has truly heard from Poles.

At 10:30 AM, the Pegasus investigation committee will interrogate prosecutor Aleksandra Rozmierska. At 3:00 PM, Maciej Wąsik and Mariusz Kamiński are scheduled to appear before the committee – subsequently in closed sessions.

President Andrzej Duda and his wife Agata Kornhauser–Duda will pay an official visit to Croatia. The welcoming ceremony is scheduled for 11:00 AM, followed by a one-on-one meeting between the presidents at 11:15 AM, and a delegation meeting at 11:50 AM.

At 12:30 PM, the presidents will meet with the media. Afterward, at 1:20 PM, President Duda will meet with the Speaker of the Croatian Parliament, and at 2:05 PM, with the Prime Minister of Croatia. The agenda also includes laying a wreath at the Monument to the Defenders of the Fatherland.

At 12:00 PM, the government will convene. The agenda includes a draft amendment to the act on special solutions related to the removal of flood consequences, as well as a draft amendment to the act on free legal aid, free civic advice, and legal education, and a draft amendment to the act on repatriation.

At 5:30 PM, a rally will take place in Biała Podlaska with the participation of the Mayor of Warsaw and presidential candidate Rafał Trzaskowski.

Sławomir Mentzen is returning to the campaign trail – today he will visit Mogilno, Radziejów, and Włocławek.

– We would like to do the same with Ukraine, to open the first cluster. We were counting on two even, but for now Hungary is vetoing, both on this matter [regarding Ukraine’s EU accession] and on the matter of almost 7 billion euros, money that member states are owed from the European Peace Facility for the supply of military equipment that Ukraine has already received – stated Radosław Sikorski on PR3.

– I don’t follow it that closely, because we were inside all day yesterday, doing work for Poland and the EU, but it seemed to me that the original idea from Końskie, from a few years ago, during the previous election campaign, was to reach a different bubble, not one’s own bubble – stated Radosław Sikorski on PR3.

– And that’s why it seems to me, I don’t know if in this debate or a previous one, appearing on that right-wing TV channel would be rather useful. I would have gone the first time, gone to Końskie. Rafał certainly had his reasons, I can only speak for myself. I would have gone and participated – the Minister of Foreign Affairs continued.

– The stake [in these elections] is whether the government of the October 15 coalition will be able to implement its election manifesto, to fulfill the promises we made to Poles, because President Duda, as we know, not only blocked ambassadors for a year, but also vetoed our laws – stated Radosław Sikorski in PR3.

– President Trump has his peculiar style; I would conduct these negotiations differently. But we shall know them by their fruits. The classic approach is to first explore possibilities through confidential channels, then build some elements of trust, and only then have leaders' talks at the end, when it's already known that an agreement is achievable. Here, it's being done the other way around. Let's hope it yields results – stated Radosław Sikorski on PR3.

– I believe that the assault by PiS and Republika activists on the debate venue should be investigated by the police and prosecution – said Jan Grabiec in an interview with Bogdan Rymanowski on the program „Gość Radia Zet”.

– The allegation is absurd. The debate in Końskie, Rafał Trzaskowski invited people to it, and according to the custom of someone inviting you to a restaurant, they pay, so Rafał Trzaskowski's electoral committee covered all the costs – Jan Grabiec said on Radio Zet, when asked about notifications to the prosecutor's office, including those from PiS, concerning the illegal financing of Trzaskowski's campaign.

– It's not that scale of costs [2-3 million PLN] […] of course [the campaign staff will cover all costs] – he continued.

– If we were malicious, we would ask if Mr. Nawrocki's committee is paying for yesterday's debate on Republika. I know that Republika is associated with the PiS campaign staff, but they are still two separate institutions – he went on to say.

– I think some of the bills have been settled – he added, when asked if Trzaskowski's committee had already paid TVP.

– I understand the Marshal's agitation, because it is, after all, a campaign, so these emotions are contagious, but if we look at the facts, there are no grounds for indignation from the Marshal. He himself proposed a 1-on-1 debate to Mr. Mentzen, and what, would the Marshal expect TVP not to broadcast this debate? – said Jan Grabiec on Radio Zet, when asked about Szymon Hołownia's words that what TVP did was unprecedented, even under the PiS government.

– So, if Marshal Hołownia organizes a 1-on-1 debate, it's okay and the television is supposed to broadcast it, but when Rafał Trzaskowski responds to Mr. Nawrocki's invitation and says: yes, I will participate in the debate, then it should not be broadcast? There is a lot of hypocrisy in all of this, even more emotion – he continued.

– One would have to ask the organizers for details. From what I know, there are 150 contractors for this project […]. If among these 150 organizers, contractors, there is a company with which someone from the government played football 20 years ago, please forgive me, such analogies seem quite laughable – said Jan Grabiec on Radio Zet, when asked why the picnic celebrating the anniversary of Bolesław Chrobry's coronation is to be prepared by Andrzej Moebus's company, who is a friend of Donald Tusk.

– Dozens of contractors work for us during the election campaign, really, probably Mr. Andrzej is among them too, but for me, the situation is clear: if someone participates in a project, whether something is rational is determined by its price – he continued, when asked if it wasn't the same company that rented the hall in Końskie.

– No, these are absurd accusations, I know that was how things were done in PiS – he went on, when asked if it wasn't a contract made through acquaintance.

– The Prime Minister is thinking about a functional reconstruction that would streamline the government's work. The structure of this government, concerning the division of competencies, largely, with a few adjustments, still reflects the PiS government – Jan Grabiec said on Radio Zet.

– We came to power at a strange moment […] this is our first budget year, and full changes regarding the allocation of competencies will only be possible when the President stops blocking them – he continued.

– I don't want to announce any specific steps, I think the Prime Minister will speak about it when the time comes. […] The Prime Minister certainly knows that he is thinking about how to accelerate and improve the government's work – he went on to say, when asked about reducing ministries.

– We did all of this in accordance with the law. We are the only committee that has consistently had correct financial reports over the past 30 years. I am reassuring, and I think that those members of PiS, whom I saw [near TVP] looking agitated and overly stimulated, might still be surprised by the results of this audit – stated Sławomir Nitras on RMF FM.

– If you hear any PiS politician lying about this matter. All costs of organizing this undertaking have been borne, and will be borne, as they are still ongoing, by Rafał Trzaskowski's electoral committee – he added.

– We are making a certain revolution, I will say it honestly. We are changing the core curriculum with Minister Nowacka from September [health education]. No, we will not be teaching about sport at all, we will teach more about what a healthy lifestyle means, what a proper diet means, but we will also be changing physical education – said Sławomir Nitras on RMF FM.

– We must teach children why movement is important, but here I appeal, I must appeal, among others, to parents. Please, do not hastily write your children off from physical education classes; teachers are capable of assessing it – he continued.

– What does inequality consist of? It consists of them stealing public money in both presidential and parliamentary campaigns, and today they are facing the consequences. But you mentioned Republika; after all, it is the richest television station today, and who does it belong to? To Jarosław Kaczyński – stated Sławomir Nitras on RMF FM.

– PiS is today the richest party in Poland, because it has accumulated, or in quotes, stolen resources, including for Republika, over its 8 years in power, to such an extent that today commercial stations like RMF could probably envy Republika's financial situation – he continued.

– The real debate was on Friday, and that one genuinely stirred real emotions, whereas here, those people in that thing called Republika, wanted to prove at all costs that it would be polite, nice – stated Sławomir Nitras on RMF FM.

– A billion reach online for this debate seems like a big success to me. I think those are hasty polls [Trzaskowski lost in polls]; if someone says they polled in the evening, let's wait two days. Yesterday the situation was different, today it is different – he added.

– Work on this in the Ministry of Finance is obviously ongoing […]. There is no agreement on this matter within the coalition, and none of us are hiding that – Jan Grabiec said on Radio Zet, when asked about the implementation of the postulate to raise the tax-free allowance to PLN 60,000.

– The Left, when it comes to the idea of a tax scale, would prefer to increase tax burdens, especially for those Poles who earn above the national average, but this is, of course, a matter for debate. Undoubtedly, lowering taxes, these general taxes, PIT, is still a goal of Civic Coalition without a doubt – he continued, when asked who is opposing it most strongly.

– Today, Poland, Europe, and the entire world find themselves in a situation where we must be able to say loudly and clearly that those who draw the right conclusions from what is happening around us will survive, win, and achieve success for their state, for their company, for their family, and for their citizens. And this is probably the right moment to say precisely and firmly that the era of naive globalization is ending – stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk during EFNI.

– We must say loudly and clearly that if we want to achieve economic success and build a secure state, we must tell ourselves and others loudly that Poland, in this increasingly ruthless competition of egoists on world markets and war fronts, will not be a naive partner, that Polish companies will not be at a disadvantage in competition with international behemoths, and that the end of this era of naive globalization must also mean – and I take this brutal message upon myself – the Prime Minister continued.

– It is time to rebuild the national economy, time for the repolonization of the Polish economy, market, and capital. This does not mean, of course, given what the 21st century is, what the EU is with all its opportunities and limitations. Our task today, the task for the state, for managers, for officials, for ministers, for Polish companies, for organizations like EFNI, is to act effectively, when necessary ruthlessly, and always in the interest of Polish entrepreneurs, companies, and capital – he emphasized.

– Capital has a nationality, the economy has a nationality, and the manager of a company managed or co-managed by the state has a nationality. Our interests bear white and red colors. If someone calls this economic nationalism – so be it, I have no problem with that – stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk during EFNI.

– We must ruthlessly, selfishly protect the interests of Polish entrepreneurs. No one needs to convince me of this; we must respect the rules thanks to which Poland is firmly embedded in international communities, including, first and foremost, the EU. But my experience, and yours, I am convinced, tells us that for some reason, until recently, it was easier for others to respect European and international regulations while better protecting the interests of domestic companies – he continued.

– I demanded strict reporting on all investments in state-owned companies (SSP), but also on investments that are, to a greater or lesser extent, directly implemented or initiated by the state, including all public procurement, especially larger contracts. Strict reporting on how the policy of preferring Polish capital and Polish entrepreneurs is implemented. There will be no more excuses that it is impossible, because it is possible. There will be no more room for opportunism – stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk during EFNI.

– It won't be the case that Poland will be solidary while others profit, for example, from Ukraine's reconstruction. We will be solidary and we will profit from it, we will brutally protect our interests and Polish companies – stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk during EFNI.

– We have made a decision, and it is irrevocable, that from the entire investment, I'm talking about one nuclear power plant, the first one, which is already in the implementation phase, PLN 53 billion must go directly to Polish companies – stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk during EFNI.

– A lot of work is still required, but Rafako, Racibórz, Silesia could be the place where this production for the defense of Poland or Europe can reach a large scale, using Polish and European funds, and above all, Polish manufacturers and Polish contractors – stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk during EFNI.

– On Thursday, I will present the first massive package regarding deregulation. Yes, I can confirm what you have said, the cooperation of the government, Rafał Brzoska's team, and the organizations also represented here is bringing rapid results – stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk during EFNI.

– I am convinced that we are taking actions that empower me today, a few days before the Easter holidays, to tell all Poles: things will be fine, you will meet at Easter tables in your homes and you will be able to truly, with a clear conscience, say to your loved ones – things will be fine in Poland, this will certainly succeed – stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk during EFNI.

– People are going to shops, greengrocers, and increasingly I hear at meetings that they are experiencing price shock, that they can't believe that the basket is half-empty, and prices are skyrocketing, that they are sometimes paying twice as much, as they tell me at meetings, as they did just a year or two ago. And indeed, a significant problem that is knocking, hammering at the doors of Polish homes is the high cost of living. We want to raise the alarm because the government employs all sorts of statistical tricks. They didn't like the statistics, so they led to a change in the leadership of the Central Statistical Office (GUS), and this new leadership proposed a new price basket, and in the new basket, they announced that there are no longer such price increases – stated Mateusz Morawiecki at a press conference.

– The increases are around 30%. 30% year-on-year, and they show 5, 6%. There is really a major deception being prepared here. These will be the most expensive Easter holidays in history. The nominal level, the absolute price level is the highest. Some items have increased by 40%, 60% year-on-year, and people see this, they are devastated – he continued.

– What is the government doing, candidate Trzaskowski, the deputy of the current prime minister? He's burying his head in the sand, not noticing this problem. I think the current prime minister has either taken too much of some medication, like candidate from Civic Platform, Mr. Trzaskowski, probably takes, or something has gotten mixed up with him, because the high cost of living, people are experiencing drama, and he had a duck brought to the residence on Parkowa Street to stage a photo. – Look at what this guy is saying. He is capable of changing his position by 180 degrees, from an electoral perspective. He sold shares of Orlen, PGNiG, our family silver, PGE, PKO BP. During his tenure, Polish assets worth PLN 57 billion were sold off. They consumed it. Mr. Tusk, where is the money you raised from the market after selling Polish companies? – stated Mateusz Morawiecki at a press conference.

– I want to announce to you that next Wednesday, I want to invite to Warsaw. We are fighting for the Czytelnik café, because it's a place full of meaning. Next Wednesday, I want to invite the voters of Rafał Trzaskowski to Warsaw for a meeting. Precisely so they can ask me those questions in person, so they don't have to shout online, convinced with such frustration that no one listened to them. I want to hear them, I want them to be able to ask me these questions – said Szymon Hołownia at a press conference.

– The Polish state cannot be about its inability to protect its children. These elections are not about whether I will defeat this or that candidate, but rather whether I, if I become president after 5 years – and I know this today and consider it my guarantee, my commitment, and the measure of my presidency – will be a good president. If I become president, I will only be a good president if, after 5 years, the number of child suicide attempts in Poland decreases, and decreases significantly – stated Szymon Hołownia at a press conference.

– We don't have to today; people are afraid of it. Young people came to me saying: we are afraid of compulsory military conscription. I say: don't be afraid of it, there will be no compulsory military draft; there will be extensive voluntary training, so that each of us can acquire new, or recall old skills in things that are also very much needed in civilian life – said Szymon Hołownia at a press conference.

– I thanked Mr. President for Croatia's and Croatian soldiers' participation in the NATO contingent in Poland, in our country, for showing allied unity through this presence. [...] I also timidly asked Mr. President if, if possible, this contribution could be increased in the future – said President Andrzej Duda at a press conference after meeting with the President of Croatia.

– We also discussed border security with Mr. President, the situation with the hybrid attack from Belarus […] I also told Mr. President that we are always in solidarity and in the event that any support in defending the borders of the European Union and the state in general is needed by Croatia, they should remember our presence and our readiness to support – he continued.

– We also discussed the situation in Ukraine with Mr. President, our positions are generally aligned here […]. We also discussed […] the upcoming NATO summit in The Hague, I told Mr. President that I have sent an official letter to the NATO Secretary General, Mr. Mark Rutte, with a proposal that NATO countries should make a joint decision to raise defense spending thresholds to a minimum of 3% of their GDP – he went on to say.

– We discussed the modernization of our armies with Mr. President, I told Mr. President about the modernization process we are currently conducting in Poland. We are indeed spending a horrendous amount, almost 5% of our GDP on defense, considering our capabilities […]. I also told Mr. President that we are implementing the production of the modern Borsuk infantry fighting vehicle and we hope that it will be a new offer that could also interest the Croatian army – he added.

– I am pleased to inform the [Croatian] Prime Minister that we have confirmation that the Secretary of Energy, a close associate of President Donald Trump, Mr. Chris Wright, will be present at the Three Seas Summit. His presence in Warsaw these days has now been confirmed by the White House – said President Andrzej Duda at a press conference after a meeting with the President of Croatia.

– This is classic, deceptive Russian disinformation, typical of, so to speak, the still Soviet school of disinformation propaganda – said President Andrzej Duda at a press conference after meeting with the President of Croatia, when asked about the words of the head of Russian intelligence stating that if NATO attacks Belarus or Russia, the Kremlin will respond with full force, and that Poland and the Baltic states will suffer the greatest damage in the first instance.

– This is being said by Russia, which is relocating its nuclear weapons to Belarus, brazenly bringing them closer to the borders of NATO and the European Union, Russia, which behaves aggressively towards NATO and which today, so to speak, is realizing its brutal and bloodthirsty imperialism by attacking Ukraine for three years now – he continued.

– NATO is a defensive alliance and everything that NATO does is solely and exclusively a response to aggressive Russian actions. […] NATO has never attacked, never attacks anyone, NATO is an alliance that exclusively maintains security – he went on to say.

Mariusz Kamiński and Maciej Wąsik did not appear before the Pegasus special investigative committee. The committee voted to request the court to impose penalties (each up to a maximum of PLN 3,000).

“This is the second date set for Messrs. Kamiński and Wąsik […] after a potential third no-show, we will be requesting the withdrawal of immunity by the European Parliament,” said committee chairwoman Magdalena Sroka.

The next hearing date for Kamiński and Wąsik is May 9, 2025.

– Today, when we look at the United States, the point is not to criticize the new Trump administration, or to applaud it – like one of my competitors who rejoiced that the Americans want to introduce tariffs – but rather to prevent these tariffs from being imposed. And that is exactly what has happened – said Rafał Trzaskowski in Biała Podlaska.

– Because thanks to the fact that we are strong, that Poland currently holds the presidency, that it is able to speak rationally, that we are able to persuade our allies in the EU towards sensible and rational behavior, these tariffs, as high as Trump announced them, have not been imposed – he stated.

– And that is precisely the point: to be able to act. Because we all know that tariffs imposed on our products would be detrimental to our economy. It's not about emotions, […] it's about being able to act effectively and to look after the Polish national interest – he added.

– They wanted to build a barrier and started building a barrier, yes, but the problem is that it was completely riddled with holes, that they didn't test it in practice. And that's the problem, not the intention itself, because the intention was the same as ours, to secure the border – said Rafał Trzaskowski in Biała Podlaska.

– Today it is very important that every candidate […] says that we must have a secure border. The only question is whether we will have a president who will influence the government to do it effectively, who will look for allies to strengthen this project, who will clearly state that this border also runs through Finland, the Baltic states, and who will be able to convince other European politicians that it is most important for this border to be strong and that, therefore, our military must remain here – he continued.

– PiS built the border, only they didn't test it on a training ground, they didn't check if it worked. A total improvisation. There are plenty of videos that show, you just need to open TikTok and not only that, the border was breached in 15 minutes during our predecessors' time. So again, it's not about saying someone didn't do it. They did it, they just did it badly, ineffectively, they didn't know how to supervise it. And only today is everything changing – he went on to say.

– The government is doing this, the president should support it, and the entire state should be doing this precisely: initiating an information campaign, which is just beginning: in Afghanistan, in Iraq, in Syria, in those countries from which people are coming to our border, because they think they can get to Europe. And we need to clearly tell them in their home countries that this border is closed, that they will not get to Europe this way – said Rafał Trzaskowski in Biała Podlaska.

– The President should [...] force the government to take actions that will facilitate the functioning of our entrepreneurs. If not, they should take politics into their own hands and propose their own initiatives. Strengthen Polish industry, yes – and take European money. There is truly nothing wrong with that – said Rafał Trzaskowski in Biała Podlaska.

– There is nothing wrong with Europe paying for the strengthening of our industry. Because we are doing our job, securing Europe. It's time for Europeans to contribute – he continued.

– This is also a difference. This is true economic patriotism, not building huge behemoths, oligarchs in Ukraine, which the previous government did, and stealing money, and creating a new elite. Kaczyński talks about this non-stop because he is totally obsessed with this point – said Rafał Trzaskowski in Biała Podlaska.

– Besides his everyday obsessions about gays, about Germans, because he is afraid of everything, this is his next obsession. An obsession with creating a new elite, so that this new PiS elite can steal money – he continued.

– Economic patriotism is supposed to help unleash your energy and strengthen our entrepreneurs and our industry, not create some behemoths and a new oligarchy – he went on to say.

– We saw what should not happen around a debate, because this storming of the hall in Końskie brings shame to Mr. Nawrocki, to his group – said Barbara Nowacka in an interview with Monika Olejnik on TVN24's "Kropka nad i" (Point on i).

– I see there is a great need to find someone; if it is easier for the media to attribute it to this or that person, I kindly suggest, we can all take it upon ourselves – said Barbara Nowacka on TVN24, when asked who came up with the debate in Końskie.

– There are staff decisions and actions, we act in solidarity […] we know how it is. If there is a need to say that this or that person, I kindly suggest – she continued.

– Everything that is necessary – she further stated, when asked if she was taking responsibility.

– The election campaign has finally begun. […] These debates, looking at them collectively: three of them, these are what will be discussed at Christmas tables. And whoever didn’t come to these debates has lost – just like Sławomir Mentzen, who didn’t participate in these debates at the beginning. I think this will be completely incomprehensible and I believe he squandered his, already illusory, chance of reaching the second round – said Marcin Mastalerek in an interview with Danuta Holecka on TV Republika’s “Gość Dzisiaj”.

– In the logic of an election campaign, arguments don’t matter. Facts matter. And the facts are that at Christmas tables, people will be talking about the debates, about the debates on Telewizja Republika, and that will be the topic. And whoever wasn’t there, may have arguments and may spend the next month explaining: that he was told too late, that he didn’t know – he continued.

– Of course, he can explain, but nobody will be talking about him. And that’s what politics is all about: being talked about – he added.

– Rafał Trzaskowski is a politician who is, first, serious, and second, a person whose actions speak for themselves, and he has supported various groups for many years, including the LGBT+ community – said Barbara Nowacka on TVN24 when asked about the situation with the rainbow flag during the debate.

– Yes [one could have expected that], but that's not what this debate is about… all of PiS’s creativity is to play the same trick a second time – she continued.

– A very nice, effective gesture, quickly showing her cooperation with the campaign team – she added, when asked if Magdalena Biejat, who took the flag from Trzaskowski, had acted correctly.

– I am convinced that Szymon Hołownia gained the voters of Mentzen, who was absent from this debate, because in politics, reflection also counts, and everyone saw what was happening, and those who didn't make it there, because it was too far, because they had other plans, because they are going to Duda, have clearly lost – said Barbara Nowacka on TVN24.

– Telewizja Republika has exposed Rafał Trzaskowski's true intentions and, above all, has shown a pathology. It's a pathology that an election campaign staff organizes an election debate and public television hosts it. This is not how it's done anywhere in the world. The fact that Telewizja Republika came up with a proposal for a debate for everyone has precisely exposed this pseudo-debate – said Marcin Mastalerek on "Gość Dzisiaj" on TV Republika.

– How can you even call something a debate that is organized by someone's election campaign staff, and only one candidate is invited? – he asked.

– I think that no one has exposed Rafał Trzaskowski and these people who jokingly call themselves democrats as well as Telewizja Republika has, by organizing these debates – he assessed.

– Yes. We are aware that Rafał Trzaskowski is the leader, so a certain attack on the leader is a normal tactic. […] Yes, I expected it. Did I like it? Moderately, but I understand their tactic – Barbara Nowacka said on TVN24 when asked if she expected an “attack” on Rafał Trzaskowski from Magdalena Biejat and Szymon Hołownia during the debate.

– The more Szymon Hołownia gains from this debate by taking votes from Mentzen, and the more Magdalena Biejat collects by taking from Adrian Zandberg, the greater the potential for Rafał Trzaskowski to jointly convince people to vote for Rafał in the second round, so I really think it's good – she continued.

– I wouldn't go to Mr. Duda. For many reasons, including the fact that his actions, on balance, will not benefit the democratic side of the Polish political scene, meaning it's a legitimization of many other actions he has taken – Barbara Nowacka said on TVN24.

– We must conduct a dialogue with him; the Minister of Foreign Affairs is doing this, the Prime Minister is doing this, but I don't have the feeling that Mr. President Duda wants to act for anyone other than PiS and, possibly, his vice-president – she continued.

– However, the participation of a TVP journalist in moderating this debate with Rafał Trzaskowski is astonishing. – All journalists sign this, and during the election campaign, I remember we signed these principles once more, so that no one would get the idea to participate, for example, to work for a campaign team – stated the host of the interview with Marcin Mastalerek.

– No, absolutely not [Trzaskowski was not on the defensive]. This is one poll, and there's no need to build extensive analyses on its basis. These polls will change significantly before the elections. What convinces me is actually the poll that assesses who won Friday's debate. Rafał Trzaskowski had a clear victory there, which was evident during that debate – stated Marcin Kierwiński in the program „Gość Wydarzeń” on Polsat News.

– This is not leveling the playing field, it's a quite natural process. PiS still has that twenty-something percent support, it's obvious that PiS's hardest electorate will not say Trzaskowski won the debate, they are rooting for Nawrocki. However, Trzaskowski's advantage in that debate, I'm talking about the poll, is significant – he continued.

– It’s an election campaign, they’re fighting in the election campaign, so they’re using various methods to build their support, sometimes forcing differences with us. I understand that; in the end, it’s important that in this presidential race, in the second round, we have the conviction that the entire democratic part of the political scene will vote for one candidate – stated Marcin Kierwiński on Polsat News.

– For there to be a debate, there must be television and there must be journalists. What we are dealing with at Republika is certainly not television, but the PiS radio station, and the people hosting these meetings are not journalists – stated Marcin Kierwiński on Polsat News.

– I believe that politicians from the democratic part of the political scene should not legitimise the PiS radio station. I would be very cautious, were I in Marshal Hołownia's place, about going to the PiS radio station – he added.

– This [Rafał Trzaskowski’s debate and the issue of TVP’s involvement in its organization] will certainly not be clarified in any way today, because PO holds full power, and affiliates like Trzecia Droga and Lewica do as Donald Tusk orders. Only an opposition victory and future government can, above all, hold this pathology accountable. It seems to me that this time PiS, or more broadly the right-wing, patriotic camp, will not make such mistakes and will proceed to accountability. – said Marcin Mastalerek in “Gość Dzisiaj” on TV Republika.

– Because of what this government is doing, […] I think that such scandalous situations, which indeed deny democracy, should be held accountable in the future. But I have no doubt that this will not happen now. – he stated.

– No, I don't think it matters [the flag issue]. It never matters in politics. Everyone assesses it very individually. In the comparison of two natural, most serious contenders, the substantive gap between Trzaskowski and Nawrocki was evident. Nawrocki recited his learned phrases; in reality, it's clear he has no ideas about what his presidency should look like – said Marcin Kierwiński on Polsat News.

– The loser [of the TV Republika debate] is obvious – it's Rafał Trzaskowski, who didn't come, and one can get used to the fact that he doesn't show up. He didn't show up in 2020... I think anyone who saw him in his pseudo-debate, in that setup, noticed that it's in his interest not to come – said Marcin Mastalerek on TV Republika's "Gość Dzisiaj".

– I'll say more: I believe that today, more and more people in PO realize that a mistake was made and that Radosław Sikorski would have been better. I think he would have coped better [in debates] than Rafał Trzaskowski – he assessed.

– Why doesn't Rafał Trzaskowski come to Telewizja Republika? […] Because he simply performs very poorly. He is a politician worn out by power. After all, he is the man who has been the president of Warsaw for 7 years. He is simply a worn-out politician – said Marcin Mastalerek in „Gość Dzisiaj” on TV Republika.

– This isn't breaking through in the election campaign, because the opposition, because the opposition's campaign team isn't showing it, but he is a guy who has been in charge for 7 years […]. He probably just doesn't have much desire anymore – he continued.
