– This has nothing to do with Mr. Sikorski's alleged concerns from yesterday, who, instead of acting as Minister of Foreign Affairs of a country that should care about its alliance with the United States, behaves like an ordinary petty politician, after some 'tea' on a Sunday evening, starts writing whatever comes to his mind on social media – said Przemysław Czarnek at a press conference.

– Sikorski is known for such actions from his earlier inter-ministerial activities. The same seems to have afflicted Mr. Sikorski yesterday. This is not diplomacy, it is acting against the interests of the Polish state, but in the context of what Trzaskowski is doing at the Museum of Modern Art, it fits into the overall anti-Polish narrative – he added.

– This postulate [to raise the tax-free allowance to PLN 60,000] has not been fulfilled to this day. This means, especially at the moment when all Polish women and all Polish men are settling their PIT returns for 2024 and will shortly receive concrete bills and liabilities resulting from PIT, that raising the tax-free allowance, as promised by Donald Tusk, from PLN 30,000 to PLN 60,000, has allowed every average-earning family in Poland to issue Donald Tusk a bill for PLN 7200 – stated Karol Nawrocki at a press conference in Warsaw.

– I appeal to Donald Tusk that, starting today, at the next session of the Polish parliament, the Polish parliament should address the bill that has been frozen since May last year, which would ensure the tax-free allowance is raised to PLN 60,000 – he continued.

– Diplomacy is not conducted on Twitter. I say this as a person who conducted the state diplomacy of Poland for many years. This diplomacy is not conducted on Twitter, and I consider it a big mistake by Minister Sikorski to bring the scope of serious diplomacy to Twitter; it does not serve the Polish state – stated Karol Nawrocki at a press conference in Warsaw.

– I did not read in Elon Musk’s tweet that he wants to shut down Starlinks. It was rather a description of the situation. Of course, I am not in favor of such a solution, that’s obvious – he continued.

– I see no negligence in fulfilling obligations on the part of the Minister of Finance – stated Ryszard Kalisz in a conversation with journalists.

– Article 145, paragraph 6 of the Electoral Code is a kind of enforcement title and states for the Minister of Finance that if there is a Supreme Court ruling, the National Electoral Commission (PKW) adopts such a resolution. The PKW adopted a resolution on December 31, 2024, it did not prejudge whether the Chamber of Extraordinary Control and Public Affairs is the Supreme Court, and if there are any doubts, even for the editor's fingernail, that something is a court, then that something is not a court. Therefore, there is nothing to discuss – he continued.

– As we build the largest fortifications, defenses, drone, and anti-drone systems, we have also decided to acquire the most modern equipment to do so quickly, perfectly, and innovatively. – The President has decided, in accordance with Article 122, paragraph 5 of the constitution, to veto this bill, meaning to send it back to the Sejm for reconsideration – she added.

– This is my main assumption for dialogue and discussion with entrepreneurs: that, of course, in critical, most important moments, entrepreneurs need support from the Polish state, but what they need most, according to what I have managed to observe during already unique 200 meetings across Poland, mainly with small and medium-sized entrepreneurs, is simple, low taxes – stated Karol Nawrocki at an economic debate for entrepreneurs.

– The Polish state also needs pro-family taxes today, because we are in a deep demographic crisis. Depopulation is occurring in Poland, and all social groups are responsible and engaged in building the potential of the Polish state – he added.

– What happened in the United States cannot be a threat to us. Because often, ladies and gentlemen, we behave in such a way that what the President of the United States, Donald Trump, is doing now is a threat to European elites or to certain political circles in Poland. Donald Trump is simply doing what he announced during his election campaign. We are now seeing the effects, but we cannot feel surprised – said Karol Nawrocki at an economic debate for entrepreneurs.

– My deregulation will begin with work with my team of experts. I hope the Polish Economic Society will also want to participate in this work, and within a few months I want to present new Personal Income Tax (PIT) and Social Insurance Institution (ZUS) laws, because I am looking at these laws and I see that the PIT law has 2700 pages with annexes and additional materials – stated Karol Nawrocki at a business debate for entrepreneurs.

– I recognize that thanks to the gravitas built in bilateral relations by President Andrzej Duda, who is the last bastion in Poland today. For us, what is happening in the world thanks to the United States and the change of administration in the White House presents an opportunity for us to become a leader in the European Union and in transatlantic relations – stated Karol Nawrocki during an economic debate for entrepreneurs.

– We should use Polish coal on our path to nuclear energy. We cannot deviate from the direction we have set. The first large nuclear power plant should be operational in 2035, another in 2040, and a third in 2045. We want three large nuclear power plants, but until that happens, let me be clear: hands off Polish coal. I am also a staunch opponent of the Green Deal, and here's a concrete plan: if I become president, I will invoke Article 125 of the constitution and call for a national referendum in the Sejm on rejecting the Green Deal – said Karol Nawrocki at an economic debate for entrepreneurs.

– I am a proponent of Poland being in the European Union, but what the European Union elites, with Donald Tusk also alongside our Prime Minister, have led to in recent years, on the one hand, is a pact with Putin – this must be stated directly – which emboldened the Russian Federation to attack Ukraine. Yes, the European Union poured millions of euros into gas from the Russian Federation; this is a described, obvious fact, and today no one admits to it – said Karol Nawrocki during an economic debate for entrepreneurs.

– As President of Poland, I will propose a mixed type of election to the National Council of the Judiciary. If the situation is not clarified by February 2026, I will convene a national referendum concerning, among other things, the Polish judiciary – stated Karol Nawrocki at a business economic debate.

– One of the most important exams a political leader faces is ensuring the secure transfer of their power, their position. I am sorry to say that President Duda has failed this exam. A very important one. In the situation we find ourselves in today, I would expect the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces to consider the issue of transferring the command of the Armed Forces as one of the most significant challenges he faces at this very moment – stated Szymon Hołownia in a conversation with journalists.

– The chaos in the judiciary, to which President Duda has also contributed, leads us to questions about how the validation of the presidential elections will look, whether we will indeed be able to, with this chaos in the Supreme Court, to which the President has also contributed, effectively ensure that the president of Poland is elected by the people at the ballot box, and not by some court or official – he continued.

– If the president is unable to take responsibility for the security of this process at this moment, I cannot assess it any other way than this – he failed one of the most important exams of his presidency – the Marshal of the Sejm emphasized.

– This is a referendum against Donald Tusk's government. You can all see what kind of Poland we live in – a Poland that does not respect the Polish rule of law system, which is not developing, but rather regressing. Every day, in fact, we have examples of the destruction of the Polish state. We live in a Poland of high prices. This must end. Voting for me is voting against Donald Tusk – said Karol Nawrocki in an interview with Ewa Bugała on TV Republika.

– Let's imagine this referendum is held in Poland. It's known that everyone would like to pay less for energy, so let's assume the majority is against the Green Deal, and the referendum is binding. And what next? – Ewa Bugała asked on TV Republika.

– Of course, this is a strong mandate for the president. The president already has such a mandate and will have it even without this referendum, to convene a special summit of countries in Central Europe that are against the Green Deal. We are already seeing negative sentiment across Europe towards the Green Deal. The leaders of these countries realize that the Green Deal is destroying their economies – replied Karol Nawrocki.

– As president, I will convene such a special summit. I am surprised that the government of Donald Tusk, at a time when we hold the presidency of the Council of the EU, is not reacting to the voice of Polish citizens. Perhaps he does not hear them – he added.

– My contract with Poles is binding and obligating for me. If I become president, I will primarily propose low, simple, but also family-friendly taxes, because we are facing a demographic crisis today. How will I achieve this? I have no other experience than fulfilling what I promised Poland and Poles. My entire professional life has been about fulfilling promises – said Karol Nawrocki on TV Republika.

– What Rafał Trzaskowski says, he actually says something different every day, I don’t attach much importance to it. Rafał Trzaskowski’s words are, of course, tailored every day for the election campaign, and we will only get to know the real Rafał Trzaskowski, Donald Tusk’s deputy, after the presidential elections. I hope not, and that I will become president – Karol Nawrocki said on TV Republika.

– Minister Radosław Sikorski spoke by phone with U.S. Special Envoy General Kellogg about the peace negotiations between the U.S. and Ukraine in Riyadh. Both sides emphasized the necessity of achieving a just peace. Following the conversation, Minister Sikorski contacted the Ukrainian Minister of Foreign Affairs – the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced.

– President Duda’s decisions are incomprehensible. We have a difficult international situation, and the president is behaving as if he wants to deepen these internal problems even further. Unreasonable, irresponsible behavior, this decision today to de facto throw into the trash a bill that was meant to solve these problems – said Marcin Kierwiński in an interview with Justyna Dobrosz-Oracz on TVP Info’s “Question of the Day,” commenting on the president’s veto of the so-called incidental bill.

– In the context of significant international problems, in the context of what is happening on the Ukrainian front, in such fundamental matters that build Poland’s internal stability, I had hoped the president would rise above traditional divisions. It’s a shame, he didn’t. This was probably one of the president’s last chances, because he doesn’t have much time left – he continued.

– Radek Sikorski, I think he is a politician with considerable experience. A good Minister of Foreign Affairs, although sometimes a bit too impetuous when it comes to his communication style, so this latest Twitter spat doesn't seem to me to be the wisest move. Knowing Mr. Musk's character traits, Radosław Sikorski really shouldn't have entered into a Twitter debate with him – stated Marek Sawicki in the program 'Guest of Events' on Polsat News.

– This is a minor detail that will be forgotten in a few days, and more important matters are at stake than possible posts and an exchange of mutual jabs. Geopolitics worldwide is truly changing at this moment, and Poland must be active in this change, and it seems to me that Prime Minister Donald Tusk is not making fundamental mistakes – he continued.

– Minister of National Defence Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz has maintained very close cooperation with the United States from the very beginning, because in our assessment, for the next 5-8 years, regardless of how intensively Europe arms itself, the United States will be needed here – said Marek Sawicki in Polsat News.

– This close cooperation, and indeed the contracts initiated by predecessors and now continued by Kosiniak-Kamysz, ties us very strongly to the United States, and breaking these contracts and searching for new suppliers of equipment and ammunition today would simply be unrealistic – he added.

– The Supreme Court actually declares the elections valid. We will find a solution that will lead to the Supreme Court's decision being unchallengeable, regardless of who wins the elections – said Marcin Kierwiński on TVP Info's "Question of the Day".

– Today, this system is needed by fighting Ukraine. And if Radosław Sikorski contributed even a small brick – although I believe it is a significant contribution to this declaration being made – then it is good – he assessed.

– It is difficult to comment on the fact that PiS politicians are praising such arrogance from Mr. Musk and it is difficult to comment on the fact that they are not defending Poland's national interest. […] The fact that good relations with President Trump are in our national interest, because they are, there is no doubt about it, similarly our national interest for many years has been supporting Ukraine – said Marcin Kierwiński in the program “Pytanie dnia” on TVP Info.

– If today someone praises Musk for this anti-Ukrainian post, it means they are standing against Poland's national interest. I just wonder what else has to happen, how serious the international situation must be, for PiS politicians to finally understand that on international matters, we should speak with one voice? – he asked.
