At 11:00 AM, Prime Minister Donald Tusk and Finance Minister Andrzej Domański will participate in the event 'Poland. A Year of Breakthrough.' – That our country can soon become the best and safest place on earth. Because after all, the vast majority of Poles – in spite of Poland's enemies and perpetual grumblers – want peace, development, and prosperity. I believe in us – wrote the head of government on social media.

The Civic Platform (KO) candidate Rafał Trzaskowski will also be present on the Pomeranian coast. At 9:45 AM, he will lay flowers at the Monument to Maritime Poland. At 11:30 AM, he will participate in the ceremony of the 105th anniversary of Poland's Wedding to the Sea. At 3:00 PM, he will attend the launch of the 'Local Governments Forward' initiative, with the participation of, among others, the Mayor of Gdańsk Aleksandra Dulkiewicz, the Mayor of Sopot Magdalena Czarzyńska-Jachim, and the Pomeranian Marshal Mieczysław Struk.

The PiS-backed presidential candidate Karol Nawrocki will visit the Pomeranian Voivodeship. At 12:30 PM in Lubiewo Gdańskie, he will meet with marksmen and the Brotherhood of Marksmen. At 4:30 PM in Starogard Gdański, an open meeting with residents will take place, followed by a meeting at 7:00 PM in Tczew.

At 2:00 PM at the 31st Tactical Aviation Base in Poznań-Krzesiny, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defence Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz will meet with Tore Sandvik, the Norwegian Minister of Defence.

– I am eagerly awaiting this event [Prime Minister Donald Tusk’s address today]. We have announcements of large, huge projects from time to time. We will see what the Prime Minister says. Indeed, after 14 months of governance, it is high time we knew what’s brewing and which projects will be priority – said Marek Sawicki in an interview with Piotr Salak on RMF24.

– There is no security without a strongly developing economy. Please recall that in 2015, Prime Minister Morawiecki promised us that he would increase investment as a percentage of GDP from the then 20% to 25%. He finished at 16%. I would also like to wait for the full report from 2024, because I suspect we have fallen even a bit lower – said Marek Sawicki on RMF24.

– In my opinion, the Prime Minister should primarily focus on governing and coordinating the work of the government, the work of individual ministries, and ensuring the deadlines for commitments are met, because credibility is also an important element of conducting politics. An efficient government will certainly help the candidates of the October 15 Coalition – Marek Sawicki told RMF24, responding to a question about whether the Prime Minister should get involved in the presidential campaign.

– But will he get involved in the campaign? Well, he cannot avoid getting involved in the campaign when his deputy is the candidate. So, necessarily, he will not leave it solely to Rafał Trzaskowski, but will probably participate in it himself, for which I absolutely do not accuse him. I believe that to continue the change, one must indeed win the presidential elections as well – he continued.

– Nobody took anything from anyone, because nobody has given anything to anyone yet. The competition […] was resolved by announcing a ranking list a few days before the elections; it was a competition in which 39 oncology hospitals participated, of which 19 were on the list, and 20 were not – said Izabela Leszczyna on “Poranek TVP Info,” when asked about accusations from the opposition of taking nearly PLN 4.3 billion from oncology patients due to the cancellation of a competition decided by PiS.

– I prepared resolutions, and the Ministry of Finance pointed out to us that between the investment program […] and the application, and even such an assessment of investment expediency, there were discrepancies between costs and scopes, such that the Council of Ministers absolutely could not accept it – she continued.

– We started negotiating with the hospitals […]. After analyzing the documentation, it was clear that the entities were not treated equally. […] We found many irregularities there, and that's putting it mildly. The Central Anticorruption Bureau, which I notified, conducted an investigation for three months, after which they informed me that they had to extend the investigation because there was indeed something unfair about this competition – she further stated.

– This year, not 4 billion 200 [million], but 10 billion will flow to all oncology hospitals in Poland participating in the competition. We will resolve the first competition from the KPO [National Recovery Plan] at the end of February, and there will be time until mid-next year, and I believe that we will extend [...] that investments will be possible to implement until the end of next year – said Izabela Leszczyna on TVP Info.

– The second competition, the same one, I will announce the same competition, these 4 billion 200 million we will announce in March, but certainly [...] the criteria and later the entire evaluation procedure will be transparent – she continued.

– The Supreme Executive Committee, I hope, will make a decision in the coming days. Since we unanimously adopted at the Supreme Council that Marshal Szymon Hołownia is the PSL candidate in the presidential elections, it seems to me natural that we also take part in financing this campaign – Marek Sawicki said in RMF24.

As he pointed out: – There is an agreement from before 2023, during the campaign about joint participation in these elections, and that agreement still stands. […] To what extent the parties will agree among themselves and what financial contribution, what budget they will prepare for Szymon Hołownia’s campaign, I myself am curious.

– I'm not afraid, but not because I'm certain I'll keep this position. I believe that over this past year, I've accomplished many very important things for Polish patients, both men and women. If the Prime Minister decides he wants a change, I am a Member of Parliament, and I will always have something to do – said Izabela Leszczyna on TVP Info when asked if she feared losing her position as a result of the government reshuffle.

– I find your questions about whether he will take fourth, fifth, or seventh place amusing. As for Szymon Hołownia, I believe he has a good chance of reaching the second round and he really needs to do a lot of work, as does his entire team – Marek Sawicki said in RMF24.

– Yes [I was questioned in the 'coup d'état' case]. By Mr. Prosecutor Michał Ostrowski. Perhaps, I am a citizen like any other in this country. If the prosecutor arranges an interrogation with me, the only advantage is that he doesn't summon me to the prosecutor's office and interrogates me, informing me that proceedings have been initiated. As a citizen, I have a duty to give testimony as a witness, and I did so – stated Małgorzata Manowska in an interview with Bogdan Rymanowski on Radio Zet.

– There was no such question [whether there was a coup d'état]. A witness testifies about facts, and I told the honest truth. I don't know if I am allowed to disclose what I testified about, because I don't know what the outcome of these proceedings and this document scandal will be, so I testified, I can say, generally about the actions taken by the government, the Minister of Justice, concerning the courts, the Supreme Court, and common courts – the First President of the Supreme Court continued.

– We will receive money from the EMA [European Medicines Agency], that's one thing. One of the Polish pharmaceutical companies has received API, which is an active substance, from which it is starting to produce this anti-flu medication, and it will also be available in the coming weeks. At the same time, two other companies, at our request, have moved their deliveries from March to February. So, in the coming days, indeed this week, mid-week actually, these medications will appear in pharmacies – said Izabela Leszczyna on TVP Info when asked about the shortage of flu medications in pharmacies.

– Certainly, the law is being broken, I will say that somewhat enigmatically, but it is not for me to judge whether we are dealing with a coup d'état. We have many so-called 'wise talking heads' for that, sometimes mocking, but I can certainly say as the First President of the Supreme Court that various actions, or announcements of actions, are being taken with regard to the Supreme Court, its judges, and ordinary courts, which are dismantling the judiciary, and this will certainly end badly for citizens in the future – stated Małgorzata Manowska on Radio Zet.

– We must state very clearly that Donald Tusk was the first European leader to very clearly state that our borders must be protected. It was Donald Tusk who initiated the strengthening of the barrier on the border, the construction of the East Shield, it was Donald Tusk who clearly said that Europe must awaken on this matter. If other countries are following this path, then that is very good, it means that Poland's voice is being heard, it means that Poland is finally starting to play the role in the European Union that it should play – stated Marcin Kierwiński on the program "Graffiti" on Polsat News.

– Please remember that PiS has a lot on its conscience regarding the Migration Pact. Because I recall that the majority of regulations, as this pact consists of many regulations, against which Poland, as a government, at the very end, the government of Prime Minister Donald Tusk, we were not in favour of this pact. However, the PiS government negotiated this pact and accepted many things that we should not have agreed to at the stage of its development – said Marcin Kierwiński on Polsat News.

– I have the impression that after Donald Tusk’s words and this clear strategy from Donald Tusk, all of Europe is starting to truly understand what the problem is. It is starting to understand that this migration, but this artificially induced migration, is simply a type of weapon that Russia and Belarus are using against the European Union – stated Marcin Kierwiński on Polsat News.

– Yes, I am convinced [that the Migration Pact will not apply to Poland], a strong declaration from Donald Tusk – he added.

– All it takes is for a citizen, seeing the [judiciary] panel, to go on Google, see the judge’s statements, and in their opinion, they can already expect a verdict of a specific content – stated Małgorzata Manowska on Radio Zet.

– I have one fundamental problem: I don't believe in Mr. Nawrocki's announcements, either on a political or substantive level. It's a quasi-substantive announcement. But what influence does Mr. Nawrocki have on this? Mr. Nawrocki has generally accustomed himself during this campaign to talking nonsense or explaining his past life. Nothing will come of it [a 33% reduction in electricity prices]; everyone knows that the president has no influence on this – stated Marcin Kierwiński in Polsat News.

– Perhaps they are taking their cue from the best and promises of gasoline at 5.19 [PLN] or a tax-free amount of 60,000 [PLN] in 100 days? – asked Marcin Fijołek.

– I understand your malice, but please recall that we still have 2.5 years of our term, and we will implement the tax-free amount – replied Marcin Kierwiński.

– We are seeing the beginning of a collapse [in the Polish judiciary] at this moment, where judges are being segregated, placed in some special zones or departments. This is essentially manipulating court compositions because this group of judges is being removed from adjudicating the most serious cases, the everyday cases, so to speak, that affect citizens – stated Małgorzata Manowska on Radio Zet.

– Of course, Minister Bodnar has the right to his own opinion [on the National Council of the Judiciary], but he has no right to control the judiciary through his own ordinances and various unlawful actions that circumvent the law and the true solution to the problem that has arisen – stated Małgorzata Manowska on Radio Zet.

– Of course, the Chamber of Review [should rule on presidential elections]. And here is a simple justification that many do not want to see. Article 6 of the European Convention on Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms states that the ECtHR can rule in civil and criminal matters, in matters concerning citizens. This does not apply to election issues, and the ECtHR itself has stated on numerous occasions, as has the CJEU, that they do not deal with elections – stated Małgorzata Manowska on Radio Zet.

– After what happened at TVP, in some other institutions, after what is happening in the judiciary, precisely after this segregation of judges, I expect the worst – stated Małgorzata Manowska on Radio Zet.

– We are remembering the great crime committed by Putin, by his people, with the very probable involvement of his people here, also in Poland, those people who have been conducting their campaign here all the time. They have been conducting, with full tolerance from the current authorities, a Putinist campaign. An odious, disgusting Putinist campaign – said Jarosław Kaczyński at a press briefing on the occasion of the Smoleńsk anniversary.

– A campaign that today strikes not only at the obvious and true assertion that it was an assassination, an assassination by Putin, but strikes at the very idea of commemorating Smoleńsk and its victims, those who fell there – he continued.

– This is not liked [recalling the Smolensk catastrophe], it is meant to be forgotten, this is what Putin and his Polish allies demand. Allies who once made a reset and who are still ruling Poland today as a result of a mistake, as a result of many people believing that things would get better – said Jarosław Kaczyński at a press briefing on the occasion of the Smolensk anniversary.

– They believed in the disgusting lies of Tusk – a man who was ready to literally almost kneel before Putin after the crime, who gave him all rights to conduct the investigation, and thus to falsify it – said the PiS chairman.

– We will not break. The time will come when this ceremony will be repeated, but under the protection of law enforcement forces. The time will come for truth about the great deception, which was handing the Russians the right to conduct the investigation into their own crime – said Jarosław Kaczyński at a press briefing on the occasion of the Smolensk anniversary.

– To my knowledge, after the ruling of the Chamber of Control [of the Supreme Court], this money [for PiS] should have been paid out. I am saying what, in my opinion, the law dictates – stated Małgorzata Manowska on Radio Zet.

During Jarosław Kaczyński's press briefing on the occasion of the Smoleńsk monthly commemoration, chants of 'liar, liar' could be heard in the background from counter-demonstrators using megaphones.

The Law and Justice (PiS) chairman described this as a 'great disgrace' perpetrated by 'either madmen, lunatics, or simply people who are in service, who are paid'.

– Today we know that these payments flowed from various sources, but we still know too little, although we know a lot from our own intuition, from all that is obvious, who pays for it, who organizes it – he continued.

As he announced: – The time will come when those who do this will be treated appropriately. They will be punished, because serving Putin's criminal clique, a criminal state, is a great crime deserving of the harshest penalties. And the time for these punishments will come.

– These yells, these screams – they will not stop us. We will win, we will punish, we will show the truth, truth will prevail, Poland will prevail – he concluded.

After all the dramatic experiences that have affected our country, continent, and the entire world, when we recall the pandemic, which also had a direct impact on the economies of the whole world, including Poland, we have all been waiting for good news, with such longing for this great shot of energy that is given to us by people who believe in their own strength, their own capabilities – stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk at the press conference “Poland. Year of Breakthrough”.

– The year of breakthrough is a simple strategy. In fact, the simplest possible. It's investments, investments, investments. These investments are already a fact – stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk at the press conference „Poland. Year of Breakthrough”.

– In Poland, investments in 2025 will exceed PLN 650 billion. We are convinced in the government that this is a cautious estimate. Today, I could say it's closer to PLN 700 billion, and this is a record amount, such a sum has not been seen before in the history of the Polish economy – he continued.

– In reality, somewhat in the spirit of Bolesław the Brave, we decided [...] to begin a new chapter. Until now, we dreamed of catching up with the most developed countries. To catch up with the most prosperous societies. And today, this is likely the moment when we can say that it is possible, here on the Vistula, in Poland, to overtake those who, not so long ago, sometimes looked down on us a bit, with a bit of pity, often with solidarity – said Prime Minister Donald Tusk at the press conference "Poland. A Year of Breakthrough".

– Today, this light in Europe, it is visible mainly from here, from Warsaw, from Poland, from every Polish company, from every Polish home – he continued.

– I am pleased to inform you that we are significantly advanced in our talks with these largest technology giants. I have held discussions with the leaders of Google, Amazon, IBM, and Microsoft. The heads of both Microsoft and Google will be my guests in Poland in the coming days, and we will finalize their investment plans – stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk at the press conference "Poland. A Year of Breakthrough".

– In our vision of a modern, ambitious Poland, a Poland that outpaces the most developed Western countries, there is, for example, this strengthening – which has already become a reality, and 2025 will be crucial here – of Polish ports. It concerns the entire logistics, the entire north-south axis – stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk at the press conference "Poland. Year of the Breakthrough".

– I am greatly satisfied with the fact that today 90% of what Polish companies, Polish manufacturers – small, large, medium – export and import, [...] is handled by Polish ports. This is also an all-time record – he indicated.

– According to conservative estimates, we can count on a threefold increase in cargo throughputs in all Polish ports [...], by 2030 we should triple cargo throughputs in Polish ports – he emphasized.

– This is also a breakthrough, as today we are assuming, and there is truly not a shred of exaggeration, that we will reach 4% [GDP] growth in 2025, even though external circumstances are by no means easy, and we will certainly be among the best in the Western world and in Europe – stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk at the press conference “Poland. A Year of Breakthrough”.

– We need to have more energy in Poland, and this energy must be cheaper. I want to discuss this responsibly, without building any unnecessary illusions. We must make very concrete decisions regarding stable, guaranteed energy supplies for all those who wish to invest in Poland – stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk at the press conference “Poland. A Year of Breakthrough”.

– This entire investment vision, this investment breakthrough, this year of breakthrough, it also serves to ensure the full security of Poland’s borders, of Polish territory. It is not by chance that we will be investing a great deal of money directly into security – stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk at the press conference “Poland. A Year of Breakthrough.”

– As you know, we have made a decision [...] regarding the construction of the first nuclear power plant, with its location set there, in my region, Kaszuby. But we have also made a decision to enable, which will, of course, require private capital involvement, because we are not prepared to finance everything with public funds, the identification of a second, potential location for another nuclear power plant – said Prime Minister Donald Tusk at the press conference “Poland. A Year of Breakthrough”.

– We must move from slogans to very concrete decisions. Deregulation is an absolute sine qua non for both this investment success and Poland's competitive capabilities in Europe, and Europe's with the entire world. I cannot imagine that this deregulation, which is intended to make life easier, to free up space for Polish entrepreneurs, from those with the smallest businesses to those with very substantial resources, for everyone without exception, would be a bureaucratic process – stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk at the press conference “Poland. A Year of Breakthrough”.

– We must urgently and quickly prepare these simplest deregulatory acts, freeing up the economy, your time, and also your wallets from unnecessary burdens, and we must approach this deregulation together – he continued.

– By the year 2032, we will invest 180 billion zloty in Polish railways, and this is not an investment deferred in time; these investments have already begun and are ongoing. Among other things, their purpose will be to enable the construction of a nuclear power plant in the north, and most importantly, to service the ports – said Prime Minister Donald Tusk at the press conference "Poland. A Year of Breakthrough."

– I remember, in the Stock Exchange building, when I was the Prime Minister of the Polish government years ago, we were so proud of the road and highway investments that were just beginning then – stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk at the press conference “Poland. A Year of Breakthrough”.

– My dearest advisor from those times and from today, former Prime Minister Jan Krzysztof Bielecki, is sitting among us. Do you remember how long it took us to finally turn our dreams of Polish roads, Polish highways, Polish bridges into reality? For centuries, it was a subject of ridicule from our neighbors, that while various things might succeed in Poland, bridges, highways, or roads certainly wouldn't – he said.

He continued: – Back then, everyone understood that Poland was under construction. That was even the slogan: “Poland Under Construction”. It was a period of the largest investments in the history up to that point. Today, we are talking about another leap, another breakthrough, about even greater funds for investments, so this is like “Poland Under Construction 2”, but on an even larger scale.

– I can tell you – enrich yourselves, Poland will be rich if you and everyone else can enrich yourselves. There should be no limits here. A strong Poland and happy Poles means a rich nation, rich through your abilities, thanks to your work, to what you will do – stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk at the press conference “Poland. A Year of Breakthrough”.

– There is, for example, Mr. Rafał Brzoska. I read in the last few days about two interviews, one or two statements, that deregulation is not difficult, you just have to want it, and that you, sir, know what needs to be done. Listen, if it's about specifics, then let's get specific. So, get down to it. You have excellent colleagues here – said Prime Minister Donald Tusk at the press conference “Poland. A Year of Breakthrough.”

– Speed plays an absolutely crucial role here. So, if you were to commit, for instance, that together with the group of people who would like to help you, you would quickly prepare recommendations for changes that do not require laws, meaning a long process and always with a certain political risk that someone might not like it, there might not be a majority or signatures – he continued.

– I know that you know much better that there is a whole set of actions we could take quickly, but I would like these to be actions precisely and accurately described by people like you, not by officials. I am also explaining this in the European Union. Officials, legislators, it's in their blood, even when they talk about “deregulation,” they usually come up with new regulations […]. Without your, I would say, strong, and if necessary, aggressive contribution, in my opinion, we will constantly be dealing in fiction – he went on to say.

– He said […] “challenge accepted.” So I thank you – he added.

– Since we have one thing settled, namely this team that will prepare deregulation for us from the perspective of necessary burdens for entrepreneurs, I also want to inform you that I intend to meet with you regularly – stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk at the press conference “Poland. A Year of Breakthrough”.

– Yes, I know: finally. Because I need to know from you exactly what I must do, as Prime Minister, what my administration must do, to make things easier for you – he pointed out.

– If we want to join the ranks, and we do, of the world's wealthiest nations, we must leverage all our strengths and concentrate on strategic areas. We have an ambitious plan for Poland's development, a plan based on six key pillars. Firstly, investment in science and research; secondly, energy transformation; thirdly, modern technologies; fourthly, port development and railway modernization; fifthly, a dynamic capital market; and perhaps the most important thing: support and cooperation with business – stated Andrzej Domański at the press conference "Poland. A Year of Breakthrough".

– From next year, we will increase the contribution limit for IKZE (Individual Retirement Security Account) to make long-term investing more profitable. We are working on new instruments that will facilitate investing for both individual and institutional investors, including, for example, ETFs. We also plan changes that will increase market predictability for investors. We want to implement, among others, rules so that compulsory redemption of shares is always treated as a tax loss – stated Andrzej Domański at the "Poland. Year of Breakthrough" press conference.

– We will also reduce the tax on capital gains, popularly known as the "Belka tax". The capital market must become the foundation for the long-term financing of the Polish economy and the development of enterprises. We estimate that these actions alone […] will allow the mobilization of an additional 10 billion PLN of new funds for innovation and investment, and this is just the beginning – he continued.

– We have analyzed the formula in the Ministry of Finance on the basis of which this tax is constructed, and we see space and opportunity, and we will do it from 2026 so that the so-called copper tax is reduced. In 2026, revenues from this tax will change the formula of this tax such that revenues from it will be proportionally PLN 0.5 billion lower. In 2027, these revenues may be lower by another PLN 700 million – stated Andrzej Domański at the "Poland. A Year of Breakthrough" press conference.

– Ports provide access to cheaper raw materials and are a crucial window to the world for Polish exporters. Ports are, of course, not just terminals and quays; they are one of the pillars of our economy. Poland has the potential to become a key logistics hub in Europe. However, to fully utilize this potential, the modernization of the railway system is essential, as it will become the backbone of efficient logistics and rapid transport – said Andrzej Domański at the press conference “Poland. A Year of Breakthrough”.

– One of the main problems, challenges, that emerge in our conversations with the state, is the issue of bureaucracy, over-regulation of the economy, and an excess of reporting obligations. Entrepreneurs should focus on running their businesses, [...] and not on filling out more forms – stated Prime Minister Andrzej Domański at the "Poland. A Year of Breakthrough" press conference.

– Therefore, we are reviewing reporting obligations and eliminating those that are duplicated or simply unnecessary. As a first step, we will eliminate the obligation to report over 70% of so-called domestic tax schemes. In the amendment to the act, we will further simplify regulations, reduce the amount of certain criminal sanctions, and limit emerging interpretational doubts – he announced.

– Additionally, we will eliminate the obligation to prepare so-called tax strategies. Tax strategies serve no one and nothing – he added.

– We are facing a situation on the labor market where, as a result of the minimum wage increase, some companies consider that Poland is not a place where cheap labor can be utilized. This indicates that we must invest in modern technologies, in investments, and we must deregulate the economy – said Ryszard Petru in a conversation with journalists in the Sejm.

As he stated: – I am pleased with Donald Tusk’s statement today, which draws attention to this. It would now be appropriate for concrete actions to follow these declarations.

– I want to point out that recently, during a Sejm session, a deregulation bill was adopted, albeit in its first reading, which addresses the issues mentioned by the Minister of Finance – he added.

– The fight against bureaucracy is not a fight against a specific political party, but against the system itself, which truly defends itself against change. This requires immense determination from the entire government, not just individual ministries, but also members of parliament – said Ryszard Petru in a conversation with journalists in the Sejm.

– Today, I understand that the Prime Minister has given the green light for such a fight against bureaucracy, which will create an opportunity in Poland to rebuild Poles' energy. That we will want to want, that entrepreneurs will want to invest, so that they are not afraid to invest – he stated.

– I am pleased by the investment declarations of major giants, but let's remember that prosperity is created by Polish small and medium-sized enterprises, and it is to them we must give breathing room. And to give them breathing room, deep deregulation of the economy is needed – said Ryszard Petru in an interview with journalists in the Sejm.

As he declared: – As the head of the Economy Committee, I am open to quickly processing these bills in the committee, so that they can come into effect as early as next quarter.

“German Chancellor Olaf Scholz revealed that expulsions of migrants from Germany to Poland are legal and that he established this in a conversation with Donald Tusk. – Enough of this circus – that's probably the easiest way to describe it, because various protective measures are being taken, attempts are being made to create, of course this is a metaphor, a very distant one, a Polish Musk, in the form of Brzoska, while the problem is, as the spokesperson mentioned, that we know for sure today, based on Chancellor Scholz's statements, that Poland agrees to pay for German mistakes, that Polish society, Poles are to pay for the fact that Germany let illegal migrants into their country on a large scale, and today they want to get rid of them – stated Jarosław Kaczyński at a press conference.

– We have a complete picture of what Donald Tusk is planning for Poland [regarding the “transfer” of migrants from Germany to Poland]. And this is a direct threat to the security of our homeland. To oppose these threats, on behalf of the Law and Justice Parliamentary Club, I am submitting a motion to the Marshal of the Sejm for an extraordinary session of the Sejm, and we have prepared a draft resolution – stated Mariusz Błaszczak at a press conference.

– We count on the Sejm of the Republic of Poland unanimously opposing everything that Donald Tusk is preparing to the detriment of our country – he continued.

– This is confirmation of the theses we have been putting forward for a very long time. That is, this government is essentially a government that follows external directives, because even if there were such provisions in European law – and it is questionable who agreed to these provisions – we are dealing with a situation where such provisions can be conveyed by EU representatives – stated Jarosław Kaczyński at a press conference.

– Someone wrote, perhaps exaggeratedly, but it is worth quoting – that Poland is becoming a Bantustan in the EU – he continued.

– I only found out a moment ago that the prosecution has launched an investigation into another matter, namely concerning actions taken with a preconceived intent to mislead and deceive that Austrian – stated Jarosław Kaczyński at a press conference, when asked about the prosecution launching an investigation into the Srebrna company (the “two towers” case) and a bribe that Gerald Birgfellner allegedly was to hand over to a priest on the orders of the PiS leader.

– Regarding the bribe, I can only say one thing: there was no bribe. These are confabulations and, at the same time, the imagination of one Giertych, who just announced this… And moreover, this gentleman's role in all these matters, from a legal perspective, is such that this alone, not to mention other issues with which he was somehow associated, is already grounds for initiating criminal proceedings – he continued.

– I express my hope here that a time will come, and perhaps not a distant one, when such criminal proceedings will be initiated – he went on to say.

– This development plan is simply a plan detached from any real reality. 500 billion, but counting our arms orders within that sum, it means a very small amount that would certainly allow for significant development, but of one voivodeship in Poland, not Poland itself – said Jarosław Kaczyński at a press conference, when asked about the government's announced plan for Poland's development.

– I have never appeared together with candidates, even if it was my twin brother, during election campaigns, and I have always maintained a certain distance, including with regard to the current president, Mr. President Duda – Jarosław Kaczyński stated at a press conference, when asked how he intends to get involved in Karol Nawrocki's campaign.

– I think I will continue to do so […] during the election campaign, everything is managed by the campaign staff, and everyone, including myself, must submit to it. At the moment, the campaign staff, one could say, is not giving me that kind of assignments, and I am complying with that. However, if there were any assignments, but certainly not ones that would involve me appearing together with the candidate […] then I might undertake some actions – he continued.

– Mr. Rafał, I am glad that there are leaders in Polish business who not only diagnose problems but also take responsibility for seeking solutions. Deregulation is a topic that requires thorough analysis and the courage to make decisions – both on the part of the ruling camp and the opposition – wrote Mateusz Morawiecki on social media.

– I am very glad that we are all meeting here together. We have known each other for years and have been cooperating for years. In these very difficult times, when the PiS government raised its hand against local government and tried first to limit it, and then, in a sense, to liquidate it, we stood together and defended what is most important. Namely, we defended our citizens, because that is what local government is all about – being close to people and defending their rights – stated Rafał Trzaskowski in Gdańsk.

– Today, it must be clearly stated that when we talk about effective governance in Poland, it is not only central government, but also local and regional government, and that we all fought for the rights of local governments, we fought for the prerogative of local governments to realize the aspirations of our citizens – he continued.

– Bad people, populists, hate everything that is independent, which is why in Poland PiS attacked both teachers and the judiciary, free media, and of course, local government. They only failed precisely because we were together – the Mayor of Warsaw emphasized.

– It was also because citizens simply did not allow PiS to destroy local government, because they trust you – added the KO candidate.

– Now I ask you for exactly the same thing: that we stay together and move forward. Local governments, forward! – he said.

– President Duda has his own saying, which you know, that a person is always learning. He is right, but one must learn from wise people, and I will repeat after Mr. President, I also always learn, I learn from you and from all Polish women and men. That is the difference, not to learn solely and exclusively from a chairman who knows little about the world, but from people who solve hundreds of problems every day – stated Rafał Trzaskowski in Gdańsk.

– I have an appeal for Prime Minister Tusk. Mr. Tusk, please immediately deploy the Border Guard, police, and forces capable of controlling our western border this time and checking whether Germany is not pushing illegal immigrants onto us, in line with Chancellor Scholz's announcement and likely that of future Chancellor Friedrich Merz. It's clear the gentlemen have reached an agreement, but the current Prime Minister has hidden it from the public opinion – stated Mateusz Morawiecki in an interview with Ewa Bugała on TV Republika.

– You probably remember the repeated enthusiasm over financial means from the KPO [National Recovery Plan] and discussions about whether we will receive them or not. Will our rule of law situation cause us to receive further billions, or perhaps it's not sufficient enough for us to get them? – When there are 6 trillion 200 billion zlotys on the table, which are simply owed to us, we await a decision on whether we will receive financial means from the KPO. Let us abandon, and this is what I ask of you, let us all abandon post-colonial thinking. This is Poland, this is a free, independent, and sovereign Poland, which will speak with its own voice – he continued.

– I am ready to reach an agreement and cooperate for the safety of Poles with the current Minister of National Defence, with Mr. Deputy Prime Minister, but there is one condition for this discussion. Security should, of course, be excluded from political dispute, because we all deserve it. As long as within the Ministry of National Defence, the Deputy Minister of National Defence is a person who only engages in party activities, Twitter, and ignites like a torch upon seeing any information, instead of taking care to build an army of at least 300,000, we will not build this 300,000 army – said Karol Nawrocki in Starogard Gdański.

– Prime Minister Tusk is prevaricating, lying, and deceiving, and in Poland, 49 integration centers are being built to handle German affairs. We need financial resources for the development of our counties, municipalities, roads, infrastructure, and many other things, yet we are building migration centers for illegal migrants to handle the affairs of the German state. This is Poland, and these are Polish matters – stated Karol Nawrocki in Starogard Gdański.

– As the future President of the Republic, I will put the issue of reparations, which are simply owed to us, on all international agendas and will firmly push Berlin to return to the discussion about them – stated Karol Nawrocki in Starogard Gdański.

– Poland today needs a national drug factory, a factory for active pharmaceutical ingredients, what are called APIs. Something like this was being prepared, ladies and gentlemen. This is the main component of most medicines we all use when we are ill. A factory for Polish active pharmaceutical ingredients is a necessary direction for the Polish state – said Karol Nawrocki in Starogard Gdański.

– I appeal to the current government to act similarly regarding the current migration pact, to register an objection with Victor Orban at the European Council against the mandatory relocation mechanism. This is possible; we achieved it in 2018 and 2019. Let them do the same, if what they say publicly is true – stated Mateusz Morawiecki on TV Republika.

– I don't know if I have been summoned [to the prosecutor's office] because I have no summons, but I am absolutely not afraid, even if I were to receive such a summons in the near future, because I was fulfilling the Constitution, a resolution of the Sejm, or a decision of the Marshal of the Sejm. My statutory duties, according to the Constitution, require the presidential elections to be organized, they must be organized no later than 75 days before the end of the term and not earlier than 100 days, so there was a window, I believe, three May weekends – stated Mateusz Morawiecki on TV Republika.

– The fact that investments are starting is very good, and I dream that they will also start in the defense industry. We must learn from the Ukrainians what modern warfare looks like and build what they already possess. Ukraine produced 1.5 million drones last year […] this year they want to produce 4.5 million drones. I would dream of our aviation valley in Podkarpacie also becoming a drone valley – said Radosław Sikorski in the program “The Most Important Questions” on Polsat News.

– The distinction between sovereignty and membership in the European Union is false, because we are strengthening Polish sovereignty; we are more influential as an important country within the European Union than we would be outside of it – said Radosław Sikorski on Polsat News.

– All of this is to cover up the “can’t-doism,” the doing nothing, the delaying of key projects. Today, in a panic, that’s how I assess it, Donald Tusk pulled out plans we left behind from a drawer. He tried to rebuild them to show that it’s something new. Bread and circuses, they have no proposals for Poles, and therefore they are trying to cover it up with some pseudo-histories – stated Mateusz Morawiecki on TV Republika.

– We defeated populists here, we are an inspiration to the world in this regard – Radosław Sikorski said on Polsat News.

– I disagree [that it was in an absolutely different political reality]. I believe that to effectively tackle populism, one must realize what it was that populists identified as something the mainstream ignored or underestimated, and that rational part of their agenda simply needs to be adopted and implemented – he continued.

– In Poland, France, Germany, the United States, wherever you look, what are people demanding? The restoration of control over migration. And we did that. We convinced Poles that if we came to power, Poland's border, and consequently the Schengen and European Union border, would be under control, and we delivered on that – he went on to say.

– I believe that the fact that, by succumbing to a Russian political and media operation and, I would even say, excessive caution here, we have failed to realize the shale gas extraction project in Europe at all, that is our European defeat. It should have been done. Now, this same shale gas, it's the same methane, we import from the United States – Radosław Sikorski said on Polsat News.

– Colleagues from the opposition have probably not noticed that I was the first foreign minister of a European country to be called by the new US Secretary of State, and we are in contact with American authorities literally every day. Just yesterday, I had an exchange of views with a very high-ranking representative of this administration on a matter regarding which I must maintain discretion – said Radosław Sikorski in Polsat News.

– Let's listen to some of Rafał Trzaskowski's statements available online. So brutally, very sharply defending the Green Deal. Rafał Trzaskowski is the main ally of the Green Deal. He cannot deny it, there are dozens of proofs of this online – stated Mateusz Morawiecki on TV Republika.

– Donald Trump knows about the current government's lawbreaking. He knows that this government is, in reality, a direct derivative of German policy. Donald Trump knows how heavily dependent this government was on German-Russian policy – stated Mateusz Morawiecki on TV Republika.

– This coalition, which has nothing to offer Poles, which is already trembling like jelly today, it's clear they cannot present concrete programs, not only because the reheated and retrieved leftovers they're presenting today are the best proof of that, but above all, they cannot implement programs, carry them out. I believe that later, when Karol Nawrocki wins the elections, which will be no later than June 1st, this coalition will crumble – stated Mateusz Morawiecki on TV Republika.

– Yes [I was persuading European partners to this idea] and I will remind you what it entails. When communism fell, [...] a European bank for reconstruction was created, which, however, does not have the capability to finance the arms industry in its mission. Today, we are again at such a difficult moment and a moment of new challenges, and at the same time, the budgets of leading European countries are strained. It's not Poland, but France or Germany that have difficulties in taking on new debt obligations – said Radosław Sikorski in Polsat News, when asked about the establishment of an international bank for armaments.

– The bank would be an investment, a bank whose primary task would be the reconstruction of Europe's own arms industry. And shareholders from outside the Union could be invited to such a bank, Great Britain, Japan, other countries that feel a responsibility for this mission – he continued.

– For now, this is an idea we are sharing with key allies, and it is generating interest – he added.

– The European Union is financially providing more to Ukraine than the United States, but when it comes to weapons, the United States provided, I don't even know if more, but they certainly provided what was most needed. Ukraine desperately needs air defense systems, for example – said Radosław Sikorski in Polsat News.

"I think that the United States has invested so much in defending the statehood of Ukraine that it would be difficult to retreat. The chaotic withdrawal from Afghanistan is not a shining moment in Joe Biden's legacy. We count on President Trump liking to be a winner, and moreover, that he wants to earn a Nobel Peace Prize, which requires bringing about a just peace," said Radosław Sikorski on Polsat News.

– They should pay us, because we have more refugees than others. […] Where there is a surplus of these migrants, other countries are obliged to show solidarity. We have the surplus – said Radosław Sikorski on Polsat News, when asked about the migration pact.

– For now, the European Union should show solidarity with us, and in some matters it does – he continued.

– I consider my political rivals from today's opposition to be people who are mistaken about the European Union or about certain political issues. But I do not deny them patriotism. I do not consider them to be non-Poles. I do not say they are traitors – said Radosław Sikorski in Polsat News, when asked about the migration pact.

– The populist side, part of the political class, excludes from the conversation by saying that we are non-Poles, traitors, renegades – he continued.

– Please do not forget what happened during the previous parliamentary term. Parliament enacted a law, the President is now disavowing it, but he did sign the act […]. An act was passed stating that the President appoints ambassadors at the request of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, and this request must be approved by the Foreign Affairs Committee […] and by a newly established body, the Foreign Service Convention – said Radosław Sikorski in Polsat News, when asked about the ambassador issue.

– During the previous term, colleagues from PiS did not foresee that they would lose the election and that they would lose their majority in this convention. And I am implementing the law they passed, and the President is refusing to sign it – he continued.

– It's difficult to comment on such populist proposals, absolutely not based on any calculations [like a 1/3 reduction in energy prices, as announced by Karol Nawrocki]. If it were that simple, President Andrzej Duda could do it today – and for some reason, he isn't doing it – said Andrzej Domański in an interview with Bogdan Rymanowski on Polsat News' "Gość Wydarzeń" (Guest of Events).

– We know what to do to make energy prices in Poland significantly lower. We are investing in grids [...] PLN 65 billion, we are investing in new capacities in the energy system. Wind farms are being built on the Polish sea, we have secured funds for the construction of a nuclear power plant – he listed.

– This synthesis of denunciation, sycophancy, and subservience towards our great ally humiliates me as a Pole. I think my colleagues from today's opposition should decide whether they want to rise from their knees or plead – stated Radosław Sikorski in Polsat News, when asked about the conviction within PiS circles and the right-wing that Donald Trump and the new US administration would “push Tusk and save their political agenda.”

– This is another myth because it is not the same. In the European Union, we are at home. We help formulate the rules by which the European Union operates. […] The Union is a collection of treaties, a set of rules, and if Polish politicians in the European Parliament, which is our parliament, call upon this or that country, including their own […] then this is a normal democratic process within the community to which we belong – he continued, responding to the thesis that “PiS denounces Trump,” and the current government previously denounced the European Commission.

– The United States is our military ally, but we have no constitutional ties – he continued.

– In my opinion, the difference here is very serious. Musk works within the American administration, essentially dealing with the process of [...] deregulation within the American administration. Whereas here [in Rafał Brzoska's case], we are talking about actions for business – said Andrzej Domański on Polsat News' "Gość Wydarzeń" (Guest of Events).

He continued: – I think Rafał Brzoska will assemble a team of other entrepreneurs and together they will present very concrete proposals.

– I believe we are not prepared […] The Marshal of the Sejm is trying to solve this problem, who will credibly rule on the validity of the elections for everyone, but we have a 'Romanian problem' more than some realize – Radosław Sikorski said in Polsat News.

– This was not an external cyberattack. It was the use of money from unknown sources to support a candidate on TikTok and other social media, who himself declared that he spent nothing on his campaign. And the result of the first round was questioned by their Supreme Court, because according to Romanian law, it was illegal – he continued.

– And according to the changes in the electoral law, which were passed by today's opposition when they were in power […] in Poland, it would be legal. Because colleagues from today's opposition wanted to create a loophole for significant financing of their campaigns by State Treasury companies, and we have this mess where a candidate has spending limits for their campaign […] while third parties can do whatever they want. This is a very serious problem – he went on to say.

– I believe we should take Marshal Hołownia's idea [about determining the validity of elections] seriously – he added.

– I am still awaiting explanations from the National Electoral Commission (PKW). I have requested the PKW to clarify the resolution prepared on December 30th [concerning PiS's committee report], which, in the opinion of numerous experts, is internally contradictory. Unfortunately, I have not yet received such explanations – said Andrzej Domański on Polsat News' "Gość Wydarzeń."

– VAT revenue grew very dynamically last year. We do not yet have aggregated data for 2024 regarding the VAT gap. As soon as this data is available, we will certainly publish it – said Andrzej Domański on Polsat News’ „Gość Wydarzeń” (Guest of Events).

– I think it’s President Kaczyński who is out of touch with real reality. What he said recently in the Sejm about high prices and inflation was truly outrageous – said Andrzej Domański in “Gość Wydarzeń” on Polsat News, responding to the words of the PiS leader today.

– Let’s remember that it was under PiS rule that inflation in Poland exceeded 18%, and cumulative, total inflation amounted to almost 50%. Unfortunately, this PiS-era price surge hit Poles’ wallets – he pointed out.

As he added: – Our plan, which we presented today at the Stock Exchange, is based on concrete calculations, on the work of the ministries […], so it’s difficult to comment on that statement.
