At 8:00 AM, President Andrzej Duda and Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of National Defence Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz will participate in a performance and task-oriented briefing for the leadership of the Ministry of National Defence and the Polish Armed Forces at the Territorial Defence Forces Command. An opening address for the briefing is scheduled for 8:30 AM, followed by a press briefing at 10:50 AM with the participation of the President, the Minister of National Defence, and the Chief of the General Staff of the Polish Armed Forces.

Sejm Session Begins

On Wednesday, the Sejm will commence its two-day session. The second reading of the government's draft bill on biocomponents and liquid biofuels is scheduled for 10:00 AM. The bill aims to implement EU legislation. At 12:00 PM, the second reading of the government's amendment to the Aviation Law will begin.

At 1:15 PM, MPs will proceed to the first reading of the government's draft bill amending the Excise Duty Act and the Public Health Act. The bill concerns changes to excise duty on e-cigarettes. At 2:45 PM, the second reading of the government's draft bill on the insignia of the Polish Armed Forces is scheduled.

At 4:00 PM, the first reading of the government's draft amendment to the Tax Ordinance is planned. The bill aims to implement EU legislation and stipulates that, among other things, correspondence to the tax office can be submitted via any postal operator in tax and administrative proceedings, rather than exclusively through Poczta Polska as is currently the case.

At 5:30 PM, the first reading of the government's draft bill amending the Law on the System of Common Courts and the Law on the System of Military Courts is scheduled. The bill aims to implement EU legislation and concerns, among other things, the modification of the current model of so-called adjudicative delegations.

At 7:00 PM, the first reading of the government's draft bill on the EU network of data concerning the sustainability level of agricultural holdings will commence. The bill aims to implement EU legislation. At 8:30 PM, the second reading of a parliamentary resolution to commemorate the 105th anniversary of Poland's Wedding to the Sea in Puck is scheduled.

Trzaskowski in Jawor and Legnica

A meeting between Rafał Trzaskowski and local government officials in Jawor is scheduled for 11:45 AM. At 5:15 PM, an open meeting with the Mayor of Warsaw and KO's presidential candidate will take place in Legnica.

Nawrocki in Łódzkie Voivodeship

At 9:00 AM, Karol Nawrocki will hold a press conference at the market square in Skierniewice. Between 10:30 AM and 12:00 PM, a meeting is planned for the PiS-backed presidential candidate with fruit growers in the town of Sadkowice. PiS MPs' Conferences

– Everything that happens must be agreed upon coalitionally. The government is too large in terms of the number of people, and I agree with that, and not just in my ministry, but there are ministries with a very large number of deputy ministers, and perhaps, I don't want to point fingers here, but perhaps it is indeed worth reviewing this mechanism – said Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz in an interview with Radomir Wit on TVN24’s “Jeden na Jeden,” when asked about government reconstruction.

– The Ministry of Funds and Regional Policy, I emphasize this, because it somehow escapes notice, is a very important dimension of Polish development actions, and I hope and I am simply sure that no one will abolish regional policy in Poland – she continued.

– Considerations about merging different ministries, why not, but I would approach it with caution, because institutions that are so casually treated, simply off the cuff, I'm not saying the Prime Minister has such an intention, start to function poorly. […] As for myself, I have no fears, I know what I'm doing, all of this is demonstrated, I have never heard any accusations regarding how we are handling the KPO – she went on to say.

– First and foremost, the government today is offering spectacles instead of bread. They are not dealing with the problems of Poles who are receiving terrifying bills for electricity, for gas, for instance. At this moment, we are at the beginning of another quarter, and people are receiving new forecasts, while the government is starting its spectacles. Prime Minister Tusk, instead of dealing with the real problems of Poles, is busy with spectacles – stated Paweł Szefernaker in an interview with Bogdan Rymanowski on Radio Zet.

– We will be talking today – said Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz on TVN24, when asked when she last spoke with Minister Krzysztof Paszyk.

– We are [neighbors] […] I will be visiting the Minister – she continued.

– Social housing is a matter for this entire government, and to say that Minister Paszyk did something wrong or right here, and I truly want to defend this, is simply absolutely unfair – she continued, when asked if she would ask the minister where the money for social housing is.

– This matter [concerning Zbigniew Ziobro] shows what kind of Olsen Gang is ruling us today, and this matter, if it can cause harm, it will only harm those who are currently this Olsen Gang, meaning those who are in power and the Vice-Chairman of PO, Mr. Trzaskowski – stated Paweł Szefernaker on Radio Zet.

– It's going well [the fundraising for Karol Nawrocki's campaign], but as you know, we have been deprived of funds for financing possibilities from PiS subsidies, because the Minister of Finance did not disburse them to us. Therefore, a public collection is needed, which we started a week ago. It is going well, but to conduct elections in Poland, significant funds are required – stated Paweł Szefernaker on Radio Zet.

– Ratings can always be better, but first and foremost, we are implementing the strategy we adopted for this campaign, and we are at the second stage of strategy implementation. There are 5 stages. Each stage has its own goals, and we are implementing this strategy step by step – stated Paweł Szefernaker on Radio Zet.

– We don't have loan subsidies, day by day I read [...] that housing prices in Poland have started to fall, in some voivodeships at least the growth rate has slowed down, and in some they are already falling [...]. Housing affordability means falling housing prices [...]. This is no accident. There is no continuation of the bad, PiS policy, among others, although I must admit that these loan subsidies existed before, there is an effect, this is no accident – said Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz on TVN24.

– I am saying that there will be no loan subsidies, meaning Poland 2050, not just me, my entire formation [...] will not vote for loan subsidies, because it is bad policy and we will not vote for something that will cause housing prices to rise again – she continued.

– The convention will be at the turn of February and March. End of February or beginning of March, we will decide in the coming days when it will be. A program conference – stated Paweł Szefernaker on Radio Zet.

– In the coming days, we are intensifying the next stage of our campaign. Just as the candidate has already visited 100 counties and participated in 144 events with regional residents, in the near future, in line with our strategy and what we have adopted, PiS leaders will also hit the road in the coming weeks – stated Paweł Szefernaker on Radio Zet.

– Since the candidate has already visited 100 counties, it's time for strong support, to shift into another gear in this campaign – he continued.

– We have long since gathered 100,000 [signatures]. We are continuing to collect them, and we will collect them until we succeed, because this campaign is also a very long one, so signatures can be collected, according to the election calendar, until the beginning of April – stated Paweł Szefernaker on Radio Zet.

– There is one, I would say, flaw with the KPO: there are no signs, as we all know the signs from European funds. The KPO has been regulated in such a way that there are no such signs. Consequently, investments are appearing, but they don't have that sign on them, and indeed citizens don't know – said Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz on TVN24.

– What has happened so that citizens have felt it: firstly, new places in nurseries are being created, over 50,000 places across Poland. […] Another thing is access to broadband internet; we are eliminating white spots in Poland […]. So-called black spots on roads […] have mostly disappeared […] because several hundred such points have been rebuilt precisely with KPO funds – she continued.

– Funds are going towards installation terminals, service terminals, wind farms in the Baltic Sea. For transmission networks, distribution networks, and these are things that we don't feel day-to-day, but it's the infrastructure that is necessary to modernize the entire energy system in Poland and finally to have lower energy prices in the end – she added.

– If we made mistakes, then we must draw conclusions from them. We did a lot of good, we did everything we could in the given situation, especially in the second term – the war in Ukraine, the pandemic. Mistakes also happened during this time – stated Paweł Szefernaker on Radio Zet.

– I think that the COVID restrictions were actions that today, if the pandemic were to repeat itself, would not be undertaken on such a scale – he continued.

– We will see on what tracks this locomotive is running and whether it is not heading for an abyss. Because indictments quickly filed with the courts may be indictments that will have resolutions within this term, even before its end. They may end with the withdrawal of case files or the rejection of these motions and the acquittal of these people by final court rulings – said Przemysław Wipler in an interview with Marcin Fijołek on Polsat News's "Graffiti".

The Confederation MP was referring to Prime Minister Donald Tusk's post from yesterday.

– This will be a quick "check". […] It may be that this train is moving, but it is heading for an abyss, and these indictments will not lead to anyone's conviction – he stated.

– Now we want to carry out this [KPO] revision as quickly as possible, literally within a few weeks, because after this revision is completed, the applications already submitted, the fourth and fifth, will be assessed and the funds disbursed. We would like to have these funds by the middle of the year, in order to simultaneously [...] begin another revision, a final one, adjusting the KPO in the final stretch to the possibilities we see, what we have caught up on in two years, which is excellent, and how to reformat what we cannot manage – said Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz on TVN24.

– Then, still this year, we want to submit the sixth and seventh payment requests – she continued.

– I think that given the uproar that has occurred, no one from my club will vote for such a motion, especially since we ourselves have accused Zbigniew Ziobro of his prosecution too often violating civil rights and abusing the institution of arrest – said Przemysław Wipler in "Graffiti" Polsat News.

He assessed: – There should be fewer arrests in Poland, we want there to be fewer. Until you are convicted, you are innocent according to the Polish constitution, and political opponents should also be treated this way, especially in political matters, when Zbigniew Ziobro does not pose a threat to anyone's life or health.

– Punishing him in such a severe way also gives his voters and sympathizers a sense of blatant injustice and adds arguments for people like Marcin Romanowski to say: "Look what is happening in this Poland. Should I return here when a politician who reported to the Sejm is, for not showing up, about to be put in jail for 30 days because someone has wet dreams about interrogating Zbigniew Ziobro [...] in the Białołęka correctional facility?" – he continued.

– Yesterday, lawyer Roman Giertych announced that next week – this may be as boastful as predictions from years ago that PiS was at its end […] – Nawrocki will definitely resign. This could be wishful thinking on the part of the lawyer, but we know that both main sides fighting each other are loading their cannons – said Przemysław Wipler in “Graffiti” on Polsat News.

– And where two fight, a third can benefit – and that third is Mentzen at the moment – he stated.

– Rafał Trzaskowski [...] made a promise, it happened literally two weeks ago, when he said that Elbląg would again be a seaport. It turned out to be an empty promise. When Law and Justice governed, we completed the Vistula Spit canal, we deepened the waterway section on the Vistula Lagoon. The section connecting Elbląg, connecting the port of Elbląg with the waterway leading through the Vistula Spit canal, remains – said Mariusz Błaszczak at a press conference.

– We proposed cooperation to the local government of the city of Elbląg on this matter, we proposed co-financing on the same terms as ports in Gdynia, Gdańsk, Szczecin, and Świnoujście operate. Elbląg must be the fourth Polish port, but then the politicized local government associated with the December 13 coalition, at that time associated with the opposition, rejected the government's proposal – he continued.

– Elbląg is experiencing years of decline because the port of Elbląg is not being used on the scale it could be used, and, as it turns out, the government of the December 13 coalition will not ensure that the port of Elbląg can be a very important element on Poland's economic map, because there is no will from the December 13 coalition for this to happen, they only make empty promises – he went on to say.

– The Vistula Spit canal and the construction of a strong port in this part of our country, i.e., on the eastern side of the Vistula, is very important for the security of our homeland. The 16th Mechanized Division, which operates in the northeastern part of our country, organized exercises together with the Navy concerning ensuring the security of this part of Poland using the Vistula Spit canal – he added.

– When Law and Justice governed, the investment could be carried out [...] when the December 13 coalition governs, the chance has been missed, they just talk and do nothing – he emphasized.

– Today it is clearly visible that the decisions currently being made by this ruling team, despite repeatedly promising that they would [...] implement the tasks initiated by the Law and Justice government, are today invalidating tenders. They promised miracles, but only a stick remained. And this stick, unfortunately, is hitting the residents of Elbląg and the economy of Elbląg – said Andrzej Śliwka at a press conference.

– If we look at the port's results, for many, many years, managed by nominees of Civic Platform and PSL, it has been driven to the brink of bankruptcy. The accumulated losses over recent years already amount to several million zlotys – he continued.

– The seaport in Elbląg, within its capabilities, handles only 8 percent, 12 thousand tons handled last year out of 1.5 million capacity. This port serves as a parking lot for trucks. The management of the seaport in Elbląg, meaning the municipal company, earns not from transshipment, but from being a parking lot for trucks – he went on to say.

– What alternative do [TD and the Left have regarding absorption by Civic Coalition]? Go it alone? Argue with coalition partners in a democratic coalition? Say that if not, we're leaving the coalition, there's a minority government, and that's the scenario the listener is writing about here – stated Grzegorz Schetyna on RMF24.

– Of course it will survive [the coalition], because we are all and must be rational and we know that if the coalition is threatened, there will be early elections. If there are early elections, then there is the scenario you are asking about, meaning that everyone will flee and they will know that they have no political future ahead of them on their own – he continued.

– Rafał Trzaskowski never ceases to surprise. Today I heard that at over 50 years old, he realized that according to the law, there are two sexes in Poland. It's good that he has matured to this point, but it reflects very poorly on Rafał Trzaskowski that he needed half a century to realize that, according to the law, there are two sexes – said Karol Nawrocki at a press conference in Skierniewice.

– I will suggest to Rafał Trzaskowski that not only according to the law are there two sexes, but also according to common sense, thought, and biology – he added.

According to Nawrocki: – These 50 years to mature for such a declaration mean that we are dealing with a candidate, with Donald Tusk's deputy, who has poor intellectual reflexes. It took Rafał Trzaskowski too long to arrive at this obvious, logical, legal, and biological truth.

– It is not essential for the accountability of PiS to speed up, but his involvement is essential for conducting this accountability procedure effectively. I am not in favour of him replacing [Giertych, Bodnar], but I believe that his experience and what he is doing in the accountability team greatly motivates the functioning of the prosecution service and the ministry – said Grzegorz Schetyna in RMF24.

– If, after the presidential election, there isn't very specific, ironclad cooperation between the parties forming the democratic coalition, we will not utilize the two years remaining until the parliamentary elections. If we don't do this, we won't win the next election – stated Grzegorz Schetyna on RMF24.

– I believe we must differ from PiS's policy and what has happened over the last 8 years, and what a threat the return of PiS represents – he added.

– There is a common denominator; something unites us, fundamental things unite us. We can differ, and we do differ, that's obvious, but these parties – I can't imagine each of them going separately into an election. After all, it's clear how that would end. It will be a clash of two worlds and two perspectives on the future and the next term – he emphasized.

– This is a serious matter, because it will have enormous international repercussions. The world is astonished, for now it is opening its eyes wide, it does not understand the context of this statement, much will happen concerning these issues and these matters – said Grzegorz Schetyna on RMF24.

– President Trump believes he is effectual, that he can do anything, that he is the President of the United States. A world power, a superpower, the largest, most powerful country in the world, and he is effectual, he can do anything, and that is why this proposal is simply unserious – he continued.

– I think it’s something real because it’s nearing the halfway point of the term, which is always a time when such a change is made – stated Grzegorz Schetyna on RMF24.

– If the turn of events is what the prime minister and the democratic coalition expect, and Rafał Trzaskowski becomes president, then that’s how it will be [the ability to make all decisions, because the president will no longer block legislation] – he added.

– In this first [legislative] initiative concerning the future, there will also be a call to the Polish government to bring about a great renaissance of projects that were successfully implemented by the United Right governments between 2015 and 2023. Projects related to road and educational infrastructure, and investments that offered provincial towns in Poland a chance to develop – said Karol Nawrocki at a press conference in Skierniewice.

– We need balanced development of the Republic. Therefore, I will become a spokesperson for local and provincial governments for all of us, because there is only one Poland – he continued.

– I am pleased with the information that the bill concerning the reduction of the health contribution for 2026 is, as I hear, progressing smoothly through the committee, and I hope it will quickly reach the floor. Poland 2050 will also not abandon the issue of State Treasury companies. Unfortunately, one of our bills was blocked with the participation of our coalition partners; we will submit another one. Today I will discuss this with the MPs of my party – stated Szymon Hołownia at a press conference in the Sejm.

– Yes, actions have been taken. I understand that there are people who, in contact with MP Matecki, and I count myself among them, experience certain temptations that are hard to resist, and I understand these temptations because MP Matecki has a very specific way of establishing and nurturing interpersonal relationships and a peculiar tendency to cross psychological and physical comfort barriers in his interactions with others. He also chased me around with a phone, pretending to be a correspondent for, I don't know, the 'World of Youth' or his own channel, and crossed all boundaries. However, one certainly cannot shove, hit, or rip anything from anyone in the Sejm, regardless of who does it. This matter must be clarified – stated Szymon Hołownia at a press conference in the Sejm.

– I have requested a meeting today that will include Director Karpa-Świderek, responsible for the presence of journalists in the Sejm, and the Commander of the Marshal's Guard, Minister Deskur, who is currently heading the work of this part of the Sejm Chancellery. I also understand that the guard who was present during this entire event will be heard – the Marshal of the Sejm continued.

– I have tasked Director Karpa-Świderek with presenting me with recommendations today, which I will be able to present to the Sejm Presidium regarding what we do next with this matter. I believe this situation cannot be left as it is, because there must be a clear reaction. We cannot be shoving and hitting each other here; even if someone loses their temper, they should step out for a moment for some fresh air and then return to fulfill their duties – he added.

– The immunity request concerning MP Romanowski and the request for an arrest warrant for MP Ziobro. Our legal service is currently handling this, but I hope that during this session, after a formal assessment, I will be able to send this request to the committee, and the committee will prepare a report for the next session, meaning we will be able to vote on these two requests during the second February session – said Szymon Hołownia at a press conference.

– A motion to lift the immunity of Mr. Mariusz Błaszczak has already been submitted to the Sejm. This motion concerns the disclosure of the assumptions of the 'Warta' plan, which has been raised many times in the media. As Minister Bodnar informed me, this motion consists of two parts: a secret part and a classified part under the secrecy clause, which means that both the committee and the Sejm will have to consider this motion in a classified procedure – stated Szymon Hołownia at a press conference.

– We will have to arrange the work of the Sejm in such a way as to prepare for this at the beginning of one of the March sessions, as that is likely when it will happen, and to be ready for such a vote – he added.

– I don’t like the fact that Donald Tusk’s deputy wants to deceive all Poles and is trying to give the impression that he is someone completely different. This is unfair to voters on Rafał Trzaskowski’s part, because we no longer know who Rafał Trzaskowski is today – said Karol Nawrocki at a press conference in Skierniewice.

– I, of course, do not believe him, Donald Tusk’s deputy. I consider his subsequent declarations to have only one goal: to improve his image among reasonably thinking Poles – he assessed.

– He is a radically left-wing politician, which he has proven over the decades. A man who supported radically left-wing circles with millions of zlotys. Therefore, Rafał Trzaskowski’s subsequent declarations must be assessed on May 18 – he continued.

– By running in these elections as a person of flesh and blood, with my views, which I try to present and which I do present, views that I have carried for 40 years, I am facing a man who – as we see from these successive declarations – seems to have no views at all, because he changes them daily – said Karol Nawrocki at a press conference in Skierniewice.

In his opinion: – Unfortunately, Rafał Trzaskowski is behaving like a weathervane in this election campaign.

– I have always been in favor of the option that was later confirmed by the Venice Commission, which is to effectively resolve this matter [of neo-judges]. Because it needs to be resolved, but with a scalpel, not an axe. Through verification of the achievements and status of each individual judge, not through a zero option or collective responsibility, because that will simply lead to even greater chaos – stated Szymon Hołownia at a press conference.

– No, we will not accept illegal refugees in Poland; this is our sacred right and duty. We cannot accept individuals who illegally cross the borders of the Republic, do not have a plan for legalizing their status, and whose intentions or identities have not been verified – said Szymon Hołownia at a press conference.

– Poland today, thanks to its very strong position, is able to explain to Europe the threats that some countries in our community are not aware of. I have always maintained that security does not exclude humanity. The Polish state is a large and proud country, and as such, it does not have to be afraid of pregnant women, infants, or elderly and sick individuals who, outside the context of migration, are simply seeking humanitarian support – he continued.

– Slimming down is usually a sensible proposition, so we need to think about how to do it without derailing the train. I understand that after 15 months of work in the government, the prime minister has the right to have some ideas on how to do it, how to improve it. We are of course open to discussing this, but I say clearly, there will be no change and no reconstruction without our consent – stated Szymon Hołownia at a press conference.

– This is a coalition government, it is a government in which Donald Tusk is prime minister, but Donald Tusk is prime minister because the coalition partners decided so – he added.

– Unfortunately, Donald Tusk is not known for his honesty. He is a man who swore to all of us that he would dismiss any minister who proposed raising taxes, only to then raise 21 taxes. He is a man who said he was not going to Brussels, only to go there and become President of the European Council. He is a man who promised 100 concrete actions in 100 days and of course, did not deliver – stated Sławomir Mentzen in the Sejm.

– What is he doing? 49 centers for foreigner integration costing half a billion zlotys and agreeing to implement the migration pact from December 11th. So let's move from words to actions – he continued.

– The idiotic idea of subsidies for banks and developers is back again. First, Minister Paszyk from Trzecia Droga is dismantling social housing, and it turns out that even the few pennies allocated in the budget are not reaching local governments and TBS (Social Housing Associations) as they should. And then politicians from Platforma announce another program that will inflate housing prices – said Adrian Zandberg in the Sejm.

Addressing the deputies of the ruling coalition, he stated: – Are these developers blackmailing you? Do they have some compromising photos of your families, or are they threatening to poison your dogs or cats? Because it's simply incomprehensible how one can push such an idiotic project that will simply destroy the life chances of the younger generation.

– And the only other rational explanation for this persistence on this matter is that someone paid you for the election campaign and now expects repayment of political debts – he concluded.

– We need to ask about the most important matter today. What are Poles, Polish families interested in and what do they fear? What concerns households and entrepreneurs alike. It concerns the fate of budgets, both the small, family ones and the large ones used by businesses. It’s a matter of price increases in various fields, actually everywhere, but on the other hand, there are these increases that have particular significance. That is electricity, gas, and food – stated Jarosław Kaczyński in the Sejm.

– In parliament, since January, there have been 3 draft laws, simple laws, amendments to the Act of March 24, 2004, on tax on goods and services, so simply VAT, and reducing VAT on food to zero, as it was. Reducing VAT on electricity to 8% and on gas, this is what these very simple, very easy laws, with one small change, namely the date of entry into force, contain. They still do not have numbers, they have not been adopted by the Sejm. And this is the most important matter for Poles today – he continued.

Sejm Marshal Hołownia responded to these words: – Indeed, these projects have been submitted, and public consultations are underway. He added that the proponents had prepared an incomplete justification – concerning the effects for entrepreneurs.

– Mr. MP Kaczyński, how can you not be ashamed? Under your rule, inflation reached 18%. Over your 8 years in power, cumulative inflation was 50%. You plundered the wallets of Poles, you plundered the savings of Polish families. Now inflation stands at 4% – said Andrzej Domański during a Sejm session.

– We froze energy prices, we froze prices of key commodities so that Polish families, so that their budgets would gain value. Shame, Mr. MP Kaczyński – he continued.

In a video published on social media, PiS (Law and Justice party) cites a statement by Rafał Trzaskowski, who visited Elbląg a few weeks ago.

"The most important thing is that if there was to be a cross-section, then this waterway had to be led to the port of Elbląg. So that Elbląg can develop and so that this port, of course, fulfills its economic function," the Civic Coalition candidate said at the time.

"Only now are we able to realize this. The government is doing it, the local government is cooperating. This is exactly how it should look. Thanks to this, Elbląg can become one of the more important ports, not large, but important in the Baltic Sea. Thanks to this, many investments can be made here," he adds.

At the end of the video, a narrator speaks: "And it happened – Rafał Trzaskowski's party halted the investment developing the port of Elbląg. They cheated Poles again."

– This symbolic dimension is important, but speaking very, very seriously, this is a real breakthrough for us. You may recall, a few weeks ago, I informed the head of the European Investment Bank about 300 million euros that will be invested in the Polish satellite program. Poland is very involved in its own space program, as well as in international initiatives such as this mission, and the flight of a Polish cosmonaut, the first Polish astronaut of the 21st century, and the second ever, is the culmination of this first stage – stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk at a meeting with the crew of the Ax-4 mission, which includes Sławosz Uznański-Wiśniewski.

– I spoke […] about legislative actions that we must undertake. Over the past few years, we have conducted a whole series of exercises, including mixed exercises, which have not happened before, during which we simulated a state of national security threat […] we tested how various systemic solutions function. Consequently, there is a whole series of experiences and various kinds of observations, problems, and reservations that emerged during these exercises – said President Andrzej Duda at a press conference following a directive meeting of the MON and the Polish Armed Forces cadre.

– Therefore, a whole series of changes and additions must be made today to the legal system, legal solutions, both at the level of regulations, but primarily at the statutory level. This is necessary, and this is what I spoke about in detail in my addresses. These are very important tasks, and I hope they will be implemented, as much as possible this year, but also in the future, thus with the participation of the new President of the Republic – he continued.

– I am very happy that they [the armed forces] have exceeded 200,000 soldiers, I am happy that we are continuously realizing the modernization and procurement process, not only in terms of contracts that were already concluded in previous years, but also, for which I thanked Prime Minister [Kosiniak-Kamysz], for recent acquisitions, for the excellent decision and signing of the contract for the purchase of Apache attack helicopters, and for further acquisitions within the Polish defense industry as well – said President Andrzej Duda at a press conference after a briefing of the leadership of the Ministry of National Defence and the Polish Armed Forces.

– I emphasized that we still have a lot ahead of us and a whole series of important decisions still need to be made – he continued.

– Regarding NATO, we are the absolute vanguard, especially in terms of defense spending and consequently also modernization expenditures. I also mentioned this during the briefing: when we talk to our neighbors here, especially the states on the eastern flank of the North Atlantic Alliance, meaning, in short, the Bucharest Nine, we tend to hear compliments and they look at us with envy that these processes are being managed here at such a pace and so efficiently – said President Andrzej Duda at a press conference following a briefing for the leadership of the Ministry of National Defence and the Polish Armed Forces.

– The end of the war, from our point of view, and above all from the point of view of our part of Europe… is that Russia cannot win this war. This means that peace must be a just peace, and a just peace certainly does not mean Russia's victory, but rather that Russian imperialism will be stopped, in some sense chastised, meaning Russia will not achieve the goals it set when it invaded Ukraine – said President Andrzej Duda at a press conference after a strategic meeting with the leadership of the Ministry of National Defence and the Polish Armed Forces.

– If you look at the proposals that were discussed yesterday, regarding the proposals made by President Donald Trump, including in his conversations with Volodymyr Zelensky, they are indeed very telling when it comes to the issue of territories occupied by Russia today, and I hope that, among other things, the issues of ending the war in Ukraine will move in this direction – he continued.

– We have the largest budget in NATO and the best spending realization in Polish history last year. The budget allocated to defense within the state budget was realized at almost 100%, over 99%, nearly 100% of the expenditures for the utilization of this budget, which is a record in absolute terms, exceeding 115 billion zlotys – said Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz at a press conference following a performance and task review meeting of the leadership of the Ministry of National Defence and the Polish Armed Forces.

– A very good result, the best in absolute and percentage terms, the Armed Forces Support Fund was utilized at 72%. I would like to remind you that in 2023, this figure was around 50%, so the increase is significant – he continued.

– This year, we want to conduct the most important divisional exercises in which the 18th Division will participate. "Iron Defender", under this codename, will take place this year after a several-year break – the first divisional exercises in the Polish Army – said Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz at a press conference following a performance and task review of the leadership cadre of the Ministry of National Defence and the Polish Armed Forces.

– Europe's increased defense spending is not intended to replace Americans in Europe, but to keep them here. Without greater spending by European states, I think other countries, apart from Poland and likely the eastern flank, might find themselves in a more difficult situation – stated Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz at a press conference following the settlement and task-oriented briefing of the leading staff of the Ministry of National Defence and the Polish Armed Forces.

– This topic will certainly be raised at the upcoming meeting of ministers, next week, on Wednesday and Thursday in Brussels – he continued.

– The prosecutor is of the opinion that such actions by the Minister of National Defence, Mariusz Błaszczak, were undertaken with the aim of achieving personal benefit. This benefit was to be obtained by the party to which the Member of Parliament belongs. Because this information, obtained from declassified documents, was subsequently used in an election campaign unlawfully, it was made public – stated Anna Adamiak, spokesperson for the Prosecutor General.

– This exceeding of authority is to consist of allowing a decision to be made to lift the secrecy classification of documents for which this classification was still valid. Because the information contained in these documents met the criteria for protection within the framework of classified information, covered by the classifications of secret and top secret, and subsequently these documents, after declassification, were made public and disseminated to the public. Such is the scope of the proceedings conducted by the military department of the district prosecutor's office in Warsaw – stated Anna Adamiak, spokesperson for the Prosecutor General.

– A number of witnesses have been questioned, and the evidence gathered has provided, in the assessment of the prosecutor handling the case, sufficient grounds to accept a sufficiently justified suspicion that Mr. Mariusz Błaszczak, a member of parliament, committed the crime of exceeding his authority as Minister of National Defence, as well as revealing a protected secret – she continued.

– The Minister of National Defence, in order to remove such a classification, had to obtain written consent from the body that imposed this classification – stated Anna Adamiak, spokesperson for the Prosecutor General.

– Considering the scope of the information that was declassified by the Minister of National Defence before making this decision, for which he was formally authorized, he should have contacted the Chief of the General Staff and obtained written consent to make such a decision – she added.

– The act of archiving itself has no bearing on lowering the security level of the information contained in this document, simply because it is located in an archive – she emphasized.

– Mr. Michał K.'s absence does not impede this proceeding in any way. We have set a deadline of July 21st for the substantive assessment of our European Arrest Warrant by the London court. We are awaiting this decision, as it is more important to us than whether Mr. Michał K. remains in isolation or not. Naturally, it is also important to us that the British authorities, by applying restrictive measures, guarantee Mr. Michał K.'s presence in these proceedings – said Anna Adamiak, spokesperson for the Prosecutor General.

– That would be ideal, because there is so much to be done in Poland after May 18th, it's a shame to waste these two weeks while Poland continues to sink into chaos, into high prices, because it's expensive, more expensive, and it will get even more expensive, and the state here, in Bełchatów, Poles in Silesia, all over Poland, are wondering how it's possible that in a country where there are still so many undiscovered coal deposits, or discovered and not yet operational, as in Złoczew and Dębieńsk, regardless of whether it's lignite or hard coal, we have so much coal, yet we pay terrifying electricity bills – stated Karol Nawrocki in Bełchatów.

– We need to be clear – no to the Green Deal and no to Green Rafał, and even if my main opponent turns green with shame, puts a Catholic cross around his neck which he ordered to be removed from offices in the capital of Warsaw, even if he says a thousand times that he is against the Green Deal, and even if he wants to convince the state, as he does today, that he believes there are 2 genders in Polish law, it took him 50 years to finally utter that – stated Karol Nawrocki in Bełchatów.

– Even if they try to take away our internet with their regulations, review football and sports stands, shoot at miners with smoothbore rifles – we recently celebrated the 10th anniversary of that, or refuse to sign social agreements, no one will win against Polish freedom and Polish citizens on the path to a great Poland – stated Karol Nawrocki in Bełchatów.

– This morning, when Minister Bodnar's statement regarding the lifting of my immunity in the case concerning the defense on the Vistula during Donald Tusk's first government appeared, I was asked if I would make the same decision if I had to make it again. Well, I declare that I would make the same decision – Mariusz Błaszczak said at a press conference.

– My greatest success as Minister of National Defence, as a politician, is that they can no longer go back to handing over half of Poland to Russian occupation if a war were to break out […] because public opinion will not allow them to do so […] because public opinion knows that they committed such actions before – he continued.

– We will not allow the tragic events that took place in Ukraine, under Russian occupation, to be repeated in Poland. We will not allow for a second Bucha, a second Irpin. […] Why are they attacking now? Because it is extremely compromising for them, i.e., the December 13th coalition, they ruled before 2015, they made such decisions – he went on.

– If I had to make such a decision again, I would certainly make the same one I made when I decided to declassify historical documents. It is important that these documents were kept […] not in the General Staff, not in any command, but in the Military Historical Bureau, thus they were archival documents. […] I had the right and the duty for public opinion to learn about what happened during the governments before 2015, precisely so that it would not happen again – he added.

– No, I will not waive immunity, because I want to use the forum that will be organized by the December 13th coalition to present my position. I want to look Minister Bodnar in the eye and ask him if he truly accepts what the government of Donald Tusk, the PO-PSL coalition government, assumed, namely handing over half of Poland, Eastern Poland, to Putin's mercy – said Mariusz Błaszczak at a press conference.

– I want to ask Donald Tusk himself if he truly intends, once again, to hand over half of Poland to Russian occupation, and therefore I will use the opportunity to look them in the eye and ask them these questions – he continued.

– Surely, as information has already reached me, they will try to conceal the debate on this matter, and therefore, if they do so, it will only serve as proof that they are trying to muzzle us – he went on to say.

– When Donald Tusk says the migration pact will not apply in Poland, that declaration holds the same value as his declaration from the 2023 election campaign, when he said gasoline would cost 5.19 PLN – Mariusz Błaszczak said at a press conference.

– The constitutional crisis in Poland is deepening, and there is no will on the part of the executive or legislative branches to end these unlawful actions – stated Bogdan Święczkowski during a media briefing.

"On January 31st, I signed a 60-page notification of a crime concerning the justified suspicion of criminal offenses committed by the Prime Minister, ministers, the Marshal of the Sejm, the Marshal of the Senate, members of parliament and senators of the ruling coalition, the head of the Government Legislation Center, certain judges and prosecutors, and other individuals. This crime consists of the fact that from December 13, 2023, to the present day, in Warsaw and other locations in Poland, these individuals, acting as part of an organized criminal group, in short intervals, with a premeditated intent, aiming to change the constitutional order of the Republic of Poland, and acting to achieve or cease the activity of the Constitutional Tribunal and other constitutional bodies, including the National Council of the Judiciary and the Supreme Court, have, in agreement with other persons, undertaken activities aimed at realizing these goals through violence and unlawful threat, by eliminating the possibility of operation for the Constitutional Tribunal and other constitutional bodies, including the National Council of the Judiciary and the Supreme Court."

– We are talking here about the crime of a coup d'état – emphasized the President of the Constitutional Tribunal.

– I have requested that an investigation be initiated by the legally appointed Deputy Prosecutor General, Michał Ostrowski, as part of the mandatory referral, and for him to personally conduct this proceeding as his own investigation. Yesterday, February 4th, I was questioned by a prosecutor as the complainant. Today, I was informed by the Deputy Prosecutor General that he has initiated an investigation in this matter – he added.

– Today we are facing a challenge related to migration policy and years of errors by our Western partners. Our partners in the European Union, who pursued a flawed migration policy, which the United Right government opposed here in Poland, and today we face a threat to the health and lives of our women, our children, and our future generations, because we see what is happening. We, Poland, are expected to pay because Germany and France have admitted too many illegal migrants – stated Karol Nawrocki in Piotrków Trybunalski.

– The life and health of Polish women, men, and children are of utmost importance to me. If I become President of the Republic, I will unilaterally denounce the Migration Pact. I will not admit anyone into Poland who seeks to force their way across our borders – he continued.

– I accept the initiative of the President of the Constitutional Tribunal with satisfaction, and the fact that an investigation has been launched by the Deputy Prosecutor General based on a notification of a justified suspicion of the crime of attempting a coup d'état. I myself have repeatedly pointed to Article 127 of the Penal Code, because this is how the unlawful takeover of public media, the National Prosecutor’s Office, the obstruction of the functioning of the Constitutional Tribunal and the National Council of the Judiciary, and a number of other actions that openly violate the law and the Constitution should be qualified – Jarosław Kaczyński wrote on social media.

– The prosecution of Minister Błaszczak is another act where the government, unable to cope with prices, with governing, with the development of the Republic, is trying to put on a spectacle for all the citizens to see. A spectacle that will consume our minds, that will consume the discussion about the political and social situation, because simply, they are not managing the Republic – stated Karol Nawrocki in Piotrków Trybunalski.

– No one in the modern world, no one in the 21st century, who takes their community and values seriously and wants to develop, neither the United States nor serious European powers, assumes what often insecure, and at times still spiritually colonized, representatives of public life [in Poland] want to convince us of – that there is no place for tradition, heritage, and values in modernity. The world doesn't look like that – said Karol Nawrocki in Piotrków Trybunalski.

– Let’s not let them convince us of that, dear ladies and gentlemen. We are needed by Europe and the world precisely because of who we are. Because we are Poles and we carry our heritage, over 1000 years of our legacy. The world wants to see Poles like us, modern and traditional at the same time; we are the modern ones – he continued.

– I will win these elections so that Poland and Poles have the right to a fair trial, to fix the chaos in the justice system, to not only go back to the cut-off dates of 2015 and 2016, as current parliamentary proposals suggest, but to loudly state that the chaos in the justice system has been caused from the very beginning by the failure to decommunize the judiciary and its destruction in the 1990s – said Karol Nawrocki in Piotrków Trybunalski.

– As much of the Republic as there is land. We cannot allow our Polish land, which feeds us and guarantees our food security, to fall into foreign hands. Therefore, observing all processes and speaking frequently with farmers, I clearly make a declaration. The future President of the Republic must extend the memorandum on the ban of selling Polish land in 2026. Polish land belongs to Polish farmers and they are to farm it – stated Karol Nawrocki in Piotrków Trybunalski.

– We in Europe must be self-sufficient […] in Poland, we must be as self-sufficient as possible. Today, talking about economic patriotism is simply a manifestation of common sense – said Rafał Trzaskowski in Legnica.

– Today I met with trade unionists from KGHM, and I want to tell you one thing: if we seriously want to be self-sufficient today, we must allow for investment. […] Today we talked about how this copper tax, which was introduced over 10 years ago, makes it difficult to think about investments, and we must seriously ensure that companies of this type, which are our family silver, quite literally, must have a chance to develop – said Rafał Trzaskowski in Legnica.

– I am convinced that this tax is too high and that an investment relief is simply necessary, which will allow us to ensure that KGHM and the entire copper basin can develop not only for the next few years, but for decades to come, because in this way it will ensure our self-sufficiency, it will ensure our security – he continued.

– I often hear people saying that I present right-wing or left-wing views. This has nothing to do with left-wing or right-wing views; it's simply common sense. I don't change my mind; I am a politician who, when looking at reality, draws clear conclusions – said Rafał Trzaskowski in Legnica.

– Morawiecki signed everything blindly when it came to the Green Deal, he’d shout here, but in Europe he looked more or less like this, I don't know if you’ve seen those images from the United States. That’s how he behaved in Europe, nobody knew him there, he’d sneak through those corridors, luckily they let him into those halls because he had security with him – said Rafał Trzaskowski in Legnica.

– He achieved nothing and rarely spoke. He rarely speaks at all, that’s just his nature, unless he needs to bang his fist on the table here in Poland and pretend he’s fighting for something. He signed everything blindly, his commissioner in the European Commission proposed these kinds of solutions himself, and billions, billions for investments were supposed to follow. Only they also managed to ensure that those funds weren’t there – he continued.

– They all pose as tough guys. They carry a pistol tucked in their belt, like the Minister of Justice, showing how tough and resolute they are, but when it comes down to it, they hide in corners because they don't have the courage to face a parliamentary committee. Either they hide in corners, or they hide in Budapest, or in Belarus. That’s how brave they are – said Rafał Trzaskowski in Legnica.

– Just imagine, generally speaking, what a disgrace it is to first talk about how many guns you have at home, and then not even have the courage to go to the Sejm. It’s unbelievable – he continued, referring to Zbigniew Ziobro’s statement that he “possesses an arsenal of weapons”.

– I generally believe that those who flex their muscles and show how much of boxers they are, when it comes down to it, they are incapable of making any decisions – said Rafał Trzaskowski in Legnica.

– We hear how the AfD at rallies literally 100 km from here says unbelievable things, they talk about how Germany should really forget about its historical guilt, they talk about how they are in central Germany, this is beyond comprehension – he continued.

– And the same guy who flexes his muscles and who boxes something every day, boxes somewhere, boxes with someone, does push-ups, the man who is the head of the IPN, does not comment on this topic at all, because he has nothing to say – he went on.

– After this, ladies and gentlemen, judge whether someone is ready to be the President of the Republic of Poland, after this, judge whether someone is truly tough, whether they will not break when difficult decisions need to be made. Because like this, God help us, Minister of Justice will talk about these pistols, and when it comes down to it, he won't have the courage to go to the Sejm – he added.

A video response to Bogdan Święczkowski’s decision and Jarosław Kaczyński’s words was published on Prime Minister Donald Tusk’s profile on the X platform.

“Listen, Kaczyński says you staged a coup d’état,” says the person holding the camera.

– In the institutions where [Karol Nawrocki] worked, he probably only worked there to have a place to sleep – said Rafał Trzaskowski in Legnica.

– In Poland, we are dealing with a situation where state institutions, TVP, and the prosecution have been forcibly taken over. The National Council of the Judiciary also saw forceful entry and what could be described as a break-in. Even the Presidential Palace was the subject of such an act. Finally, and most importantly, we are facing a situation where, in essence, the law has ceased to apply, because in what the authorities are doing, there is nothing left that is connected to the content of regulations, to a certain logic – stated Jarosław Kaczyński during a press statement.

– As it turns out, the Prime Minister plays ping-pong at work, and that's the most important thing for him. Of course, we will not fail to inform the public about this in various ways, so thank you, Prime Minister, for allowing us to do this – stated Jarosław Kaczyński during a press statement.

– But secondly, there were bursts of laughter, and the matter is really not funny, and I wanted to express my deep hope that the time will come when these gentlemen stop laughing – he added.

– Power should not have complexes. PiS is composed of one giant complex. […] They need to show everyone that they are flexing their muscles, that they have guns, that they are standing in this corridor because maybe someone will notice them – said Rafał Trzaskowski in Legnica.

– How could it be otherwise, when the party’s leader hasn’t left his home for years. He hasn't been to the park, he hasn't been to the store. What understanding can he have of what's happening in the world, when he only watches rodeos at night – he continued.

– We are the ones who accepted millions of Ukrainians, we are the ones who secured the eastern border, we are the ones who have done most of the work for Europe. And it is simply clear that they will not be able to impose anything on us. However, PiS cannot comprehend this type of conduct, this ordinary effectiveness – said Rafał Trzaskowski in Legnica.

– We are certainly dealing with a series of repeated and ongoing blatant violations of law by various individuals who currently hold executive power, meaning they are members of the government. There is no doubt about that, I have no doubt – stated President Andrzej Duda on Kanał Zero.

– Co-habitation – it depends on which areas. In the area of security, it is indeed going, I can say, relatively well, to the extent that I try to cooperate with the government side. On the government side, there are also at least a few ministers who approach the matter responsibly, and this cooperation is indeed going very decently – stated President Andrzej Duda on Kanał Zero.

When pressed for names, he replied: – I am thinking primarily of the Minister of National Defence, Deputy Prime Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz. But I am also thinking of Minister Siemoniak, of the Ministry of Interior and Administration – here too, there are no special problems in cooperation. Of course, from time to time there are some differences of opinion, but generally, this cooperation is proceeding normally.

– I have no idea [whether Brussels would accept Karol Nawrocki], but I certainly believe that we will have to defend the election results in Poland if it turns out that, in a similar way to Romania, someone intends to manipulate these results. I don’t know, perhaps we will simply have to demonstrate, exercise our constitutionally guaranteed rights – stated President Andrzej Duda on Kanał Zero.

– If someone believes that a judge in a court was appointed improperly, because in their opinion, the changes to the laws made by the ruling majority in accordance with the Sejm's regulations and the Constitution, signed by the president, which legally came into effect and on the basis of which the National Council of the Judiciary was elected, and which have never been challenged in the Constitutional Tribunal – President Andrzej Duda said on Kanał Zero.

– If the bodies selected on this basis and operating on this basis have conducted the appropriate proceedings, presented candidates for judicial office to the president, the president has accepted the oaths from these judges and given them their nominations, meaning everything has happened in accordance with the binding law and the Constitution, and in their opinion, these are improperly appointed judges, then I ask, forgive me, who are we dealing with and on what basis do these people claim this? – he continued.

– Especially if lawyers say this, to my sincere astonishment, professors of legal sciences, who are now pretending not to understand what it means for something to be legally in accordance with or contrary to the Constitution – he went on to say.

– The Polish Constitution, in my personal conviction, is the supreme legal act in Poland, higher than European regulations – he added.

– For someone who takes law and the legal system in a democratic country seriously, the judiciary, the term “active remorse” for a judge is a terrifying term – said President Andrzej Duda on Kanał Zero.

– This means that a judge’s neck has been broken. […] The goal is to simply humiliate these people, break their necks, and ensure they are forever subordinate, obedient, and carry out orders – he continued.

– I understand that the question of what you will do with the bill addressing the issue of neo-judges is a rhetorical one. You will simply reject it, veto it – Robert Mazurek asked on Kanał Zero.

– Of course, because there are no neo-judges. I believe it is a humiliating term invented to persecute people who are honestly pursuing their professional matters, pursuing their careers in the judiciary. And they have gone through the entire verification process, including presidential nomination – replied President Andrzej Duda.

– This is a fight. It is revenge, it is primarily a fight, a fight for a zone of influence that they have lost, and which was part of their domain. These are partly people who are now of retirement age, and thanks to this, considering the positions they hold in our society, in various places, in the world of academia, they have always had the feeling that they are important, influential, that they decide about the careers, about life and death, as someone would say, of young people whom they held in their hands somewhere – stated President Andrzej Duda in Kanał Zero.

– They [Civic Platform] have on their banner the fight to destroy approximately, nearly 4,000 judges in Poland, whom they consider to be improperly appointed judges, because it happened outside of their control – stated President Andrzej Duda on Kanał Zero.

– The matter is specific and has been specific, and many people understood it. Of course, there will be those who will never understand it, there will be those who will never want to understand it – said President Andrzej Duda on Kanale Zero, when asked about reaching an agreement with the government regarding guarantees for the Israeli Prime Minister, should he wish to visit Poland.

– No one is saying that anyone should be above the law, however, we had a specific situation, a specific event in a specific place […]. It was one day during which the museum authorities organized an exceptional ceremony, which was the 80th anniversary of the liberation of the camp […]. I turned to the Prime Minister, stating that in connection with this exceptional situation […] having a deep conviction that we Poles, as the custodians of this place […] I believe that we Poles have an obligation to welcome every Jew who wishes to come here, regardless of which part of the world they are from, in order to pay tribute to the murdered – he continued.

– My letter only covered this exceptional commemoration. […] Prime Minister Netanyahu did not contact us, and at the time I was preparing this letter, I did not know whether Prime Minister Netanyahu wanted to attend this ceremony or not […] I did not ask him and, frankly speaking, I had no intention of asking him – he went on to say.

They are afraid; one by one, the prosecution is uncovering their scandals, corruptions, thefts, embezzlements, and incompetence. “I Strongly Dislike Comparing These Two Situations”
– Putin attacked a sovereign, independent state, without any objective reason, not attacked in any way, not threatened in any way by Ukraine. He attacked out of greed, because he wants to rule these territories […], out of brutal Russian arrogance and the return of Russian imperialism – he continued.

– Comparing these two situations, the war, which is fortunately suspended at the moment in the Gaza Strip, which was a consequence – I would like to point out – of the attack that Hamas carried out on Israeli settlements […], killing people. In retaliation, Israel did indeed attack Hamas brutally in the Gaza Strip. […] Many civilians also died during the fighting, that is true – he continued.

– There is a fight going on there, but it was Hamas that attacked Israel, and only in retaliation for this attack did Israel attack Hamas in the Gaza Strip. These are two, after all, different situations – he assessed.

– I am not talking about the issue of respecting international law, because that is obvious. Of course, both sides of the conflict, primarily Israel as a state, have an obligation to respect international law. That is clear and obvious – he indicated.
