At 9:00 AM, PiS-backed presidential candidate Karol Nawrocki will visit the company Stok-Pol PHU in Siedlce. A press briefing is planned after the meeting.

The Sejm, on its final day of deliberations, will resume its session at 9:00 AM by hearing the government's report on the implementation of the Act on State Aid for Raising Children in 2023. At 11:00 AM, the first reading of the PiS-proposed bill concerning the tax-free amount will take place, followed by the first reading of the draft amendment to the Public Roads Act at 12:30 PM.

At 9:15 AM, PiS leader Jarosław Kaczyński will hold a press briefing at the Monument to the Victims of the 2010 Smolensk Tragedy in Warsaw.

At 10:00 AM, the Minister of Interior and Administration, Tomasz Siemoniak, and Deputy Minister Tomasz Szymański will hold a press conference at the Ministry of Interior and Administration. The conference will focus on the 20th anniversary of the Act on National and Ethnic Minorities.

– This is the realization of what is hidden behind the 8 stars, meaning it is an action in favor of Donald Tusk and the revenge he is pursuing, fighting the opposition through General Stróżyk, the head of the Military Intelligence Service – said Mariusz Błaszczak in an interview with Karol Surówka on "Sygnały Dnia" (Signals of the Day) on PR1.

– General Stróżyk accuses Minister Macierewicz of abandoning Poland's participation in a system for purchasing an aerial refueling aircraft [the Karkonosze program]. And you know that in December 2008, Bogdan Klich, the then Minister of National Defence, resigned from purchasing such an aircraft and, in his statement […] cited Donald Tusk, stating that he had agreed with the Prime Minister that they would not purchase such an aircraft – he continued.

– If Stróżyk is now accusing of diplomatic treason, why isn't he accusing Tusk and Klich of diplomatic treason? – he went on to say.

– By the way, the head of the SKW should step down from his position. Yesterday it turned out that there was no counterintelligence cover for the transport of anti-personnel mines, and for two weeks, the army didn't know where the mines, 200 anti-personnel mines, had gone – Mariusz Błaszczak said on PR1.

– General Stróżyk has disgraced himself because the SKW failed to provide counterintelligence cover for the mine transport. This is a disgrace; if these mines were seized by terrorists, it would mean that a tragedy could have been caused. Many people would have died – he continued.

– Furthermore, a soldier committed suicide in this case, all indications point to it. […] Where is Kosiniak-Kamysz, the Minister of Defence, where is that Deputy Minister of Defence from Civic Platform who deals with settling scores with the opposition – he went on.

– Minister Domański is being blackmailed by Donald Tusk through posts on the internet portal X. This man is not behaving like a state official, but like a politician of the ruling coalition. He is breaking the law, consciously, because I believe he is an intelligent person [...] in order to fulfill the political wish of his superior. This reflects poorly on him – said Mariusz Błaszczak on PR1.

– I sympathize with him, because when I look at him, I see a frightened man, but if he has undertaken such actions, perhaps he thought that with Donald Tusk, he would be able to deal with public finances, it turns out not, that Donald Tusk demands that he not deal with public finances, but rather fight the opposition – he continued.

– I heard Donald Tusk's statement… he was very displeased that President Andrzej Duda forced him to publicly comment on this matter, so Tusk is hedging, but there is a Council of Ministers resolution – Mariusz Błaszczak said on PR1, when asked about the government's resolution concerning, among others, Netanyahu.

– Donald Tusk is the head of the government, and he is very unhappy that he had to say what he thinks about this matter – he continued.

– Fortunately, I don't have to make such decisions now, because it is indeed a difficult decision, but it shows who rules Poland. Once again, we see that Poland is ruled by hypocrites – he went on, when asked whether, if it depended on him, Netanyahu could participate in the ceremonies or would be arrested.

– If the Left thinks that way, then why are they in coalition with Donald Tusk? […] A coalition should be cohesive […]. I understand they say they disagree, but they still support Tusk. […] They believe the issue is not significant enough to leave the coalition. If, in their opinion, it's an insignificant matter, then why are they speaking up? – said Mariusz Błaszczak in PR1, referring to the fact that Leftist politicians are criticizing the provision of security to the Israeli Prime Minister.

– I am disappointed that the bill has been shelved. There is a very strong public expectation that all firearm owners undergo periodic examinations – said Paulina Hennig-Kloska in an interview with Beata Lubecka on the program “Gość Radia ZET,” when asked about the PSL's opposition to the Poland 2050 bill introducing, among other things, mandatory examinations for hunters and the rejection of the bill by the Sejm.

– We will definitely return to this discussion. Yesterday, I spoke with the Speaker Pasławska about this matter, and she sees a chance for an agreement on this issue […]. There is international and European law that obliges us to introduce periodic examinations for individuals who own and use firearms – she continued.

– We definitely need to refine this better at the political level […]. Perhaps a broader bill should be drafted that will encompass all firearm owners – she added.

– Examinations are an overriding good […] I don't know why some see periodic examinations as the personification of evil. I cannot understand this. I understand that this [the PSL voting with PiS to reject the bill] is a political decision, because I see no substantive justification for such a vote – she concluded.

– I hope that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will summon the Ukrainian ambassador today on this matter, because it is an interference in the electoral process in Poland. And the government has talked so much in recent days about taking care to prevent external interference in the Polish elections – said Sebastian Kaleta in an interview with Grzegorz Kępka on Polsat News’s “Graffiti.”

– A similar stance regarding conditioning Ukraine’s accession to economic and military alliances in which Poland is a member, on the resolution of the Volhynian Massacre issue, was stated by the current Deputy Prime Minister, Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz – he stated.

– So why are the words of Karol Nawrocki so important to the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, while the words of the current Deputy Prime Minister in power are not? – he asked.

– I believe Poland should not be the battleground for the implementation of international law. Especially since we have had quite a few historical disputes with the State of Israel in recent years, and we shouldn't actively seek a role in such disputes – said Sebastian Kaleta in Polsat News's "Graffiti".

– Coincidentally, for years Tusk and Bodnar said: 'If the ECJ rules something, even if it lacks competence in the treaties, it is sacrosanct, it must be applied'. Even this week, Adam Bodnar went to Luxembourg almost on his knees, begging: 'Allow me to disregard the Polish constitution, because I have no legal basis, and I've been searching for one for a year.' And the next day he returns to Poland and says: 'ICC? What court is that? We don't have to listen to it' – he continued.

He assessed: – The ICC might issue such a ruling as it did, and Poland committed to implementing such rulings – and the Tusk government says it will not implement it. Yet the ECJ and the ECHR lack competence, and they are rushing to implement something that Poland is not obligated to do. This is a disgrace for this government on many levels.

– The same man who, I believe, yesterday said that Polish tradition is a tradition of respect for the dead, respect that is expressed in various acts by families, friends of those who somehow identify with those who have passed away, who have fallen victim to various actions leading to death, who in this case fell victim to the Smolensk assassination organized by Putin’s people – said Jarosław Kaczyński at the Smolensk anniversary event.

– These people, in light of these words, should be protected, they should have the right to express tribute, remembrance of those who died. And here we constantly hear “liar, liar, liar,” we hear Putin’s propaganda – he continued.

– In this situation, which is unlawful, inconsistent with the tradition of Polish culture, about which the current Prime Minister himself speaks, we are dealing with a state where we must say clearly: in Poland, Putin has such influence that he can do anything. He can send these people here to disrupt these ceremonies, and the current authorities, who are so afraid of him […] do not want to oppose it – he went on to say.

– Of course, this is only one version, because the second one simply says that the authorities are in a situation where this alliance, this reset, is quietly ongoing – he added.

– Can Russia attack Poland in any way? – Tomasz Terlikowski asked on RMF FM.

– Yes, of course it can. This hybrid attack is already underway not only in Poland but throughout Europe; it is already part of the war, let's not downplay this – stated Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz on RMF FM.

– As soon as I found out [I took steps]. In fact, civilian oversight played a key role in this matter, because we launched all the procedures for securing, investigating, and rectifying actions related to preparation, training, sending appropriate controls, and drawing personnel conclusions – said Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz on RMF FM.

– First of all, the mood is not good. I have to say it directly, and this is due to several reasons. Firstly, the situation in Ukraine is difficult; President Zelensky was here yesterday, as was Minister Umerov, the Minister of Defence of Ukraine, and the situation on the front line is indeed very difficult. There is enormous war fatigue in Ukraine, and people are simply fed up – Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz said on RMF FM.

– We found a truly gigantic mess, where various procedures were lacking, where there was no system of functioning, even for things like communication, which concerned, for example, airspace matters. Some of it has already been successfully implemented – stated Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz in RMF FM.

– I rarely resort to blaming or bickering with my predecessors, but in some matters, it's simply unavoidable – he added.

– Of course, I do not support [banning confession for individuals under 18 years of age]. Poland is a country where there is religious freedom, and it is parents who decide how they raise their children. This is contrary to the constitution, common sense, and our culture – stated Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz on RMF FM.

– Really, engaging in such matters, I admire that someone takes on such things, because it is completely senseless, a waste of time. If we want freedom, then let us adhere to the constitution from A to Z and religious freedom, which has always been a bastion of Poland – he continued.

– Ahead of us is the choice of perhaps the most important change in the Navy, the Orka program, the signing of a submarine contract. For 30 years, those responsible for this area in the Navy have been striving for this. I would like to thank all the sailors who have maintained the capability to serve on submarines, and I hope that this year we will fulfill this promise and conclude this contract – said Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz on RMF FM.

– The time will come when the law will be observed, when we will be able to peacefully conduct these ceremonies here, and those who are Putin’s envoys will bear the consequences, as well as those who supported it from high and the highest levels – said Jarosław Kaczyński at the Smolensk anniversary commemoration.

– We will enforce this with full consequence, because there is no right to insult those who perished, and there is no right for Poland’s enemy, the enemy of all world democracy […] to pursue their interests here in Poland. And that is currently the case – he continued.

– These people who are constantly attacking, insulting here, are people who act in Putin’s name, perhaps with his money. And therefore, this must be ended – he went on to say.

– We need to have a President of the Republic who will openly, and vehemently defend Polish interests. And we have such a candidate, and we must subordinate everything to ensure his victory. And he will win – said Jarosław Kaczyński during the Smoleńsk monthly commemoration.

– As transporters told me at my previous meeting, as I hear in Poland, as we can read in the latest "Business Insider" article and also in analyses, such a crisis in the Polish transport industry is the biggest crisis in 20 years in Poland. And we really have something to deal with, because Polish transporters, small and medium-sized enterprises, are waiting for help from the Polish state – said Karol Nawrocki at a press conference.

– These emotions are reaching their peak. […] In December last year, a protest by the TSL sector was being prepared. Out of a sense of responsibility towards ordinary Poles, this protest did not take place. However, it is possible that such a protest will take place in the near future – he indicated.

– Therefore, I strongly appeal to the entire transport industry, […] to endure such a protest until May 18, 2025, and perhaps until June 1, 2025 – he stated.

As he emphasized: – As a civic candidate for the office of the President of the Republic of Poland, and after May 18 or June 1 – the President of the Republic of Poland, I will listen to the voice of the Polish transport industry, which is the nerve of the Polish economy […] and I will strive for the liberalization of the Mobility Package and to give our transporters all the tools that will allow them to return to their leading role in the EU.

– In this context, the Prime Minister's visit, in the context of the liberation of the German concentration camp Auschwitz, somewhat robs this date of its essence, because everyone, yourselves included, is focusing on Prime Minister Netanyahu's visit and not on the scale of German crimes in the concentration camp that was established by Germans on Polish land, a camp where the first transport was of Poles, but also a place where Poles perished, and most importantly, it was a place of the Holocaust for the Jewish nation, and for the Polish and Jewish nations across all of Europe, and we are not discussing this – stated Karol Nawrocki at a press conference in Siedlce.

– I believe that for the sake of historical memory, historical truth, it would be better if the Prime Minister [Netanyahu] did not come to these commemorations, and if we had the opportunity to reflect on what is most important on this day – he continued.

– This is not the first time Russians have spoken about me on their public television. They speak about me very frequently and very often. I would remind you that when I was director of the WWII Museum and thanked the provocative artists at the museum who played Russian melodies during Museum Night, Russian public television, Russian media, and the press also took an interest in me, demonizing me as a person who lacks the sensitivity appropriate for the Russian state – stated Karol Nawrocki at a press conference in Siedlce.

– My clear anti-communism and the pursuit of the interests of the Polish state exclusively do not preclude critical words in this specific context, regarding the exhumations in Volhynia or our relationship with the Ukrainian state. Yes, one can be an anti-communist, who, after so many years of activity, surely doesn't need to prove they disagree with the Russian narrative, and one can criticize relations with Ukraine even at such a dramatic moment as Russia's attack on Ukraine, while seeking to advance the interests of the Polish state – he continued.

– Did the shocking news reach you? Yes, I was the rapporteur on the Green Deal in the Committee of the Regions, which is an advisory body in the EU. And now, specifically, what did I advise on behalf of European local governments? – said Rafał Trzaskowski in a recording published on social media.

– Local and regional authorities should have direct access to European funds. In particular, additional instruments should be established to enable direct access for cities and regions to European funds, especially for projects within the Green Deal – said the Civic Coalition (KO) candidate.

– And what did Mr. Morawiecki do with the advice of local government officials? He completely ignored it. He didn't secure any funds, and he simply rubber-stamped the Green Deal. Mr. Morawiecki, you should have listened to local government officials, not Kaczyński – he added.

– The resolution was adopted by us with a sense of the absolute uniqueness of the place, which is Auschwitz, and the 80th anniversary, and that it is not our role at this moment to judge individual politicians, Israeli politicians, the policy of the State of Israel, but to recognize the sanctity of this place for both Jews and Poles, and what happened there. Therefore, we cannot imagine Israeli state representatives being in any way prevented from participating in these commemorations – stated Tomasz Siemoniak at a press conference.

– For some time now, a Council of Ministers resolution concerning the observance of the anniversary of the liberation of the Auschwitz camp has been in preparation. This resolution has been adopted, and it very clearly states that regarding this anniversary, on this specific day, we ensure the security of all representatives of the State of Israel – said Tomasz Siemoniak at a press conference.

– Such a decision has been made, it is absolutely clear and precise for all state services in Poland – he added.

– The statement is inconsistent with Poland's national interest and the direction of Polish policy, as expressed by the previous government and the current president. It simply proves Mr. Karol Nawrocki's complete lack of preparation for higher state functions, because it is simply irresponsible. We see the reaction from the Ukrainian side, and we see delight in Moscow, where media have of course noticed this statement. I hope Mr. Nawrocki retracts this statement and apologizes to the Polish public for such irresponsible speculations – stated Tomasz Siemoniak at a press conference.

– 20 years is a very long time in politics and public life, so we are also discussing the need to amend this act, wanting to adapt it to contemporary times, to adapt it to the expectations and needs of national and ethnic minorities, and such a discussion within the joint commission will begin shortly – said Tomasz Siemoniak at a press conference.

"At the commemorations in Auschwitz, Israel should be represented by its President. If he cannot, and the State of Israel announces that the Minister of Education will represent the President – it is truly hard for me to understand another Polish-Polish war over Benjamin Netanyahu, who is not planning to come and should not be here. And that's that" – Szymon Hołownia wrote on Facebook.

"Did the President of the Republic of Poland try to provoke the Prime Minister? Did the Prime Minister skillfully parry the blow? Should we really be fighting today over the ashes of the victims of Auschwitz?" – he continued in his post.

"Poland certainly cannot disregard the decisions of the ICC. Poland also has effective diplomacy, which undoubtedly knows what to do to ensure that the 80th anniversary of the liberation of the German death factory does not become an arena for a disgraceful squabble. A million Jewish, hundreds of thousands of Polish and victims of other nationalities, demand silence, respect, and prayer" – the Marshal of the Sejm emphasized.

– Of course, we will not suggest anything to the President. His services know perfectly well what to do with an unconstitutional budget. It will likely be sent back to the Constitutional Tribunal, as it is the only institution in Poland that examines the compliance of laws with the Constitution – stated Zbigniew Kuźmiuk at a press conference in the Sejm.

– Regarding the parliamentary inspection, which I conducted today with MP Zbigniew Bogucki at the Ministry of National Defence following information [...] a situation unprecedented since '89 [...] there has never been a situation where over 200 anti-tank mines on 5 pallets, weighing 2 tons, travelled across Poland [...] for nearly two weeks without any inspection – Andrzej Śliwka said at a press conference.

– Unfortunately, as is always the case with parliamentary inspections at the Ministry of National Defence, we found no one from the leadership present, as no Deputy Minister comes in at such an early hour [...]. The procedures resulted in this ammunition travelling across Poland for two weeks, finally ending up in an IKEA warehouse – he continued.

– This shows their complete disgrace, and during this parliamentary inspection, we witnessed a shifting of responsibility [...] a classic move by this team at the Ministry of National Defence is to shift responsibility [...] onto ordinary soldiers; proceedings have been initiated against them by the Military Police – he went on to say.

– Not a single person who exercised civil, political oversight has taken responsibility. Even more disgraceful for this leadership, for Minister Tomczyk and Deputy Minister Kosiniak-Kamysz, because that is the real order and hierarchy when it comes to decision-making at the Ministry of National Defence, they washed their hands of it, they shifted all of this onto the General Staff – he added.

– What good is it that Minister Tomczyk, a pathological liar, is within his remit responsible for issues related to infrastructure, what good is it that he speaks on every topic, but when it comes to a matter for which he is responsible, he buries his head in the sand, he's nowhere to be found – he noted.

– This is the appropriate response. The regulations are unambiguous, they are clear, and therefore the Minister of Finance should be a state official, not an operative carrying out Donald Tusk’s orders – Mariusz Błaszczak stated at a press conference, when asked about the reply of the National Electoral Commission (PKW) chairman to Minister Domański's letter, in which he requested the legal basis to be indicated.

“Finally, a breakthrough. A decision has been made regarding the first exhumations of Polish victims of the UPA. I thank the Ministers of Culture of Poland and Ukraine for their good cooperation. We await further decisions” – wrote Prime Minister Donald Tusk on X.

“Countering disinformation threats originating from Russia and Belarus was insufficient, ad-hoc, inconsistent, and often merely performative. It lacked long-term and systemic character” – these are the findings of the commission for the examination of Russian and Belarusian influence, headed by General Jarosław Stróżyk, specifically its disinformation team. The Ministry of Justice announced this in a statement.

“Russia, with Belarus’s assistance, is waging a cognitive war against Poland”

“The Commission’s work indicates that Russia, with the help of Belarus, is conducting a long-term cognitive war against Poland. Its aim is to increase social polarization and devastate trust in democratic structures, ultimately weakening and disintegrating the West” – informs the Ministry of Justice.

“The Russian narrative is based on criticizing democratic institutions and processes, including the government, NATO, and the EU”

“The report reveals that due to the attitudes of Polish society, the Russian narrative does not focus on promoting Russia. Instead, it is based on criticizing and undermining trust in democratic institutions and processes, including the government, NATO, and the European Union, and on increasing polarization. It incites animosity towards Ukrainians and other nationalities, faiths, and minorities” – reads the statement.

The main Russian narratives identified by the commission include: “NATO and the EU are oppressive, hostile, and colonize their members,” “Western civilization is in decline, decadent, and demoralized,” and “Ukraine is a failed state, and Ukrainians are not a nation.”

“Actions were taken extremely rarely”

“The commission’s analysis shows that state authorities possessed information about individuals and institutions spreading pro-Russian and Belarusian disinformation. However, based on this information, actions were taken extremely rarely, and these omissions were detrimental” – informs the Ministry of Justice.

An 84-page report by the disinformation team operating within the commission for the examination of Russian influence has been published on the ministry’s website.
