President Andrzej Duda will pay a working visit to the Republic of Azerbaijan in connection with his participation in the COP29 Conference. The Head of State will, among other things, deliver a national statement during the plenary session and meet with the President of Azerbaijan. A meeting with representatives of the Polish media is scheduled for approximately 2:15 PM Polish time.

For us, for Civic Coalition (KO), primaries are actually also a good moment right now to talk about our proposal for Poland, what our vision is, what the next steps are, and please look, the primaries, which Rafał Trzaskowski requested at the board meeting, are causing us to discuss this, rather than pondering over the dishevelled Law and Justice (PiS) party - stated Barbara Nowacka in "Piasecki's Conversation" on TVN24.

- The primaries are happening because Rafał Trzaskowski decided that if Radosław Sikorski is conducting a very strong campaign in the media, social media, then actually, for the campaign to be like the proper presidential one, for everyone to work together, so there are no later discussions about 'maybe it would have been better this way' or 'maybe differently,' the vox populi of our coalition party members will be the strongest mandate for the candidate - the Minister of Education and Science continued.

– In my opinion, it will be undeniably Rafał Trzaskowski, but in politics, it's never pleasant, and I don't think it's about being pleasant either. It's about being effective. I think the internal discussion within the KO campaign now will be good for it, so that later there isn't even a shadow of a doubt that everyone, regardless of who they support today, will vote for the one selected in the primaries – stated Barbara Nowacka in “Rozmowa Piaseckiego” on TVN24.

- Rafał [Trzaskowski] won the presidential elections twice, twice in the first round. This shows strength. Do you remember the whining? In the first round, when all the media, including mainstream ones, showed what an interesting candidate Patryk Jaki was. - There are several variants, but today an electoral commission will be constituted, where specific individuals from PO have already been nominated. - The foundation of our security is Poland's membership in NATO, and there is no stronger alliance without a very strong commitment from the USA. This commitment primarily depends on the American president, and after these elections, Republicans will control not only the White House but also Congress. They have a majority in the Senate, and most likely will also have a majority in the House of Representatives - stated Adam Bielan in an interview with Jacek Prusinowski on Radio Plus.

- However, will these relations be good? Here, I am a pessimist, because Donald Trump is also known for a certain vindictiveness, and if someone has not only criticized him but publicly insulted or reviled him on social media, then I fear it may be difficult to get through to Trump. Trump publicly said, for example, that he wishes for the current Australian ambassador, a former Australian prime minister who once attacked him on Twitter, to leave the USA when he takes office as president - he continued.

- So, for now, these Polish-American relations, still very good, are based on President Duda, who was a sufficiently far-sighted politician to meet for a long conversation, over dinner, with Donald Trump in February of this year. He convinced him at the time, according to American commentators, not only mine, to unblock aid for Ukraine, but also built relations for the current term of Trump - added the MEP.

- We never announced that we would reveal the candidate's name on November 11th. You should ask them [PiS politicians], I made no such declarations. We said that we would learn the name in the autumn, we should learn it in the autumn, and considering the calendar autumn, I think that’s what will happen – stated Adam Bielan in Radio Plus.

- Speaking quite seriously, I think we are at the finish line of this decision process regarding the presidential election, and at the moment when the main ruling party at this time will be choosing its candidate, we will also reveal our decision in this matter – he continued.

If a major party like PO, an important element of our October 15 coalition, states that it is looking for its own party candidate, it's difficult for an apolitical candidate to be considered by PO in this situation – stated Szymon Hołownia at a press briefing.

- Yes, he [Przemysław Czarnek] has a lot of Trump in him. He has such absolute bluntness, what the youth would call a lack of embarrassment. He is simultaneously a very intelligent player and politician, a man who enters political reality, and I experienced this in the Sejm without any inhibitions – stated Szymon Hołownia at a press briefing.

- In my assessment, he also has an appropriate dose of self-love, which perhaps makes him a presidential candidate. A very interesting candidate, but also a candidate who, on the other hand, let's remember and I've said this many times too, will mobilize the hard core of PiS, but will demobilize the electorate in the center, without whom it's impossible to win presidential elections in Poland – he continued.

- No, there were no offers, as far as I know, from Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz to Jacek Siewiera. I verified this with Kosiniak-Kamysz. I trust both of them because they are decent people. We are discussing somewhat different projects and other matters. But I understand that this is a time when everything gets associated with the presidential campaign - stated Szymon Hołownia at a press briefing.

We have two companies, Google and Intel, that are spending billions of dollars on technological advancements that translate into Europe's security, and I think that in the next, there is no doubt that during the subsequent presidency of President Trump, his administration, the reach of this American technology worldwide will expand, and this technology helps to contend with adversaries, but also to solve problems in the areas of energy and healthcare – stated Georgette Mosbacher on TVP Info.

- All I can say is that Rafał Trzaskowski can build bridges with both Democrats and Republicans. I also personally consider him a friend; we met when I was in Warsaw. - PiS has a huge problem with choosing a candidate and is employing various evasions. The Chairman has now said they will choose by the end of November. It's clear there's a significant problem with this – stated Tomasz Siemoniak on the program "Fakty po faktach" on TVN24.

- For now, they are only fighting for the Chairman's favor, because there's one person. These are primaries where there is only one voter, so they are solely fighting for the Chairman's favor, for his attention, and we'll see what the Chairman does and when he does it. He has a problem because, without disrespecting anyone, I am furthest from disrespecting, PiS's candidate will make it to the second round, whoever it may be, and they should never be underestimated. However, the Chairman has a problem because he has led to a situation where in this party, true importance was placed on blandness and loyalty to the Chairman, rather than personality, and presidential elections are a choice of personality – he continued.

- The Ministry of National Defence is talking about 10 billion PLN. It's important that these works actually started several weeks ago, so this is no longer just a project. It is simply its implementation, a very important project that is intended to secure, utilize natural obstacles, swamps, wetlands, and prepare the terrain to actually raise our threshold of resilience, so that it would not be profitable for anyone to attack Poland – stated Tomasz Siemoniak on TVN24.
