At 11:00 AM, a government session will commence. The agenda includes a draft bill concerning the revenues of local government units.

The ministers will also address a draft to increase the pool of funds allocated as aid for fruit producers and vineyard owners affected by spring frosts and hail by up to PLN 317 million – according to the government's agenda.

At 12:00 PM, President Andrzej Duda will visit the XXXII International Defence Industry Exhibition in Kielce. During his visit, the President will meet, among others, with representatives of the Polish and foreign defense sectors.

Earlier, at 11:15 AM, Deputy Prime Minister Władysław Kosiniak–Kamysz and Head of the National Security Bureau Jacek Siewiera will present a catalogue of export offers from Polish defense companies.

At 12:00 PM, the investigative committee for the visa scandal will question Major General of the Border Guard – Chief Commander of the Border Guard from January 2018 to January 2024, Tomasz Praga, and at 2:00 PM, again, in a closed session.

- Yes, they have been overused for years [pre-trial detention in Poland], which is why the codification commission for criminal law, operating within the Ministry of Justice, has prepared a draft amendment to the Code of Criminal Procedure. We will soon present this project, and we will strive to create more alternatives to pre-trial detention, but also to improve these regulations – stated Adam Bodnar in an interview with Bogdan Rymanowski on Radio Zet.

- I am indeed preparing for such a report, on what has been achieved, what we have done in the context of restoring the rule of law, but it will be a broader discussion, as it will also concern plans for the coming months - stated Adam Bodnar on Radio Zet.

- I believe it is in line with the law [PiS's fundraising]. I believe that public collections are one thing, if someone were collecting for some socially useful purpose and then had to register such a collection with the Ministry of Interior and Administration, and the Act on Political Parties, which allows for donations to be made to political parties, is another matter - stated Adam Bodnar on Radio Zet.

- Then, in accordance with the provisions of the Electoral Code, the chamber's decision goes back to the National Electoral Commission (PKW). The PKW must decide whether it, in principle, recognizes the decision of the Chamber of Control. [If so], then the ball, one could say, is in the hands of the Minister of Finance, because in this situation, they will be bound by the PKW's decision - stated Adam Bodnar on Radio Zet.

- If the PKW decides that the decision of the Chamber of Control and Public Affairs is valid and amends its decision based on it, then I think it will be a very serious responsibility on the part of the PKW to proceed in that direction - he continued.

- Never be certain in politics, even until the last moment, and we can recall Adam Michnik's famous words about Bronisław Komorowski, about the nun at the crosswalk, and I think this is a great memento for all politicians in Poland - stated Adam Bodnar on Radio Zet.

- I don't see any basis at the moment for any major changes in the government. [...] When I hear a message from one of the leaders, I will take it seriously. After the local elections, I heard: there will be a government reconstruction, major reconstructions, because Lewica performed poorly. After the European Parliament elections, Lewica had 6% and Trzecia Droga had 6% [...]. I haven't heard calls for reconstruction from that side since.Incidentally, no serious person has raised it - said Włodzimierz Czarzasty in Polsat News' “Graffiti”.

- There are harassers in every formation, and these harassers fly to journalists, telling nonsense. Sometimes they tell this nonsense on their own initiative, and then they need to be warned, and sometimes there's some spin - he assessed.

The co-chairman of Nowa Lewica referred to this term later in the conversation, in the context of the coalition dispute around the health contribution and Ryszard Petru's words on the matter. - Do you remember when I spoke about harassers? I don't know what Mariusz Kamiński was doing in these matters, I have no evidence of his actions, perhaps he was doing something. However, down in the services, the officers were aware that bad things were happening and tried in various ways, they formulated various conclusions so that the top management wouldn't realize what was actually going on and how far any investigation might reach - stated Tomasz Siemoniak in the program "Rozmowa Piaseckiego" on TVN24.

- If we are dealing with an organized criminal group, with such an accusation concerning one of the Prime Minister's closest associates, such words are not thrown around lightly, so I believe that in this case, and the court confirms this, it is not just the prosecution's action; we are dealing with a gigantic scandal reaching the very summit of power. It concerns tens of millions that, under the guise of extraordinary situations, first COVID, then the war in Ukraine, were spent very liberally, to put it mildly - he added.

– We are currently in the process of consulting on the extension of this regulation, and it will likely continue to be binding in this form from September 13th. It primarily targets human smugglers, those who facilitate the transport of people by criminal gangs, and it simply works. The fact that consolidated police units appeared on the border from the beginning of June has certainly had an effect – said Tomasz Siemoniak on TVN24.

- Both Prime Minister Donald Tusk and Deputy Prime Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz have spoken on this matter, and I can only confirm that there will be plenty of opportunities to remind Ukraine of its state and Christian duty - stated Radosław Sikorski in an interview with TVP World.

- Ukraine, of course, also has certain demands of us, but it will be Poland that decides on closing further chapters of Ukraine's negotiations with the EU. But please remember that it's strangely the case that for many, many years, whenever either Ukraine or Poland needs help, and Russia needs to sow hatred between our countries, the issue of Volhynia suddenly heats up, which is, of course, a painful issue in our shared history and Ukraine must deal with it, but we are unable to resurrect the victims of Volhynia. As he emphasized: - Ukraine must also understand the darker sides of its history, but it is Ukraine today that is fighting for its life against Russian aggression, and I am proud that Poles have shown so much solidarity with fighting Ukraine.

- We must remember that if they break the law again, there will come a day when they will answer for breaking the law. We, of course, are acting legally, based on the law, so the complaint will be filed with the Supreme Court, we will wait for the Supreme Court's ruling, then the ruling will go to the PKW, and we will see how the nominees of the December 13 coalition behave in the PKW. We remind you that they are state officials and they will also be held accountable for their decisions. We will see what those decisions will be, we trust that there will be some reflection, that they will act based on and within the limits of the law, we will see what happens. - We have received the PKW's decision, the complaint is being prepared, and it will be filed with the Supreme Court by the end of this week – he added.

- I believe that this question should be asked not to me, of course, because the chairman will decide on it, but I am presenting my offer. - Local self-government bodies will receive PLN 25 billion more thanks to a change proposed by Minister Domański, compared to a scenario without this change – in 2025 alone. PLN 25 billion in just one year. A cautious, reliable estimate suggests that over the next 10 years, local governments will receive PLN 345 billion more than they would have without this change – stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk at a press conference.

– People are surprised how it's possible [that in next year's budget there is more money for the IPN, Supreme Court, or Chancellery of the President], how on earth Tusk or Domański want to finance to a greater extent, we are saving on ourselves, as much as we can cut, and yet we are giving more to President Duda or the IPN. Without going into details, there is a certain category of institutions, including the Chancellery of the President or the IPN, for which the government does not project the budget. They send the information themselves about what their budget should be, and the government can only do is to put part of it into the budget that will go to the Sejm – stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk at a press conference.

– It is only in the Sejm that the MPs can decide that these so-called sacred cows, in the language of financiers and politicians, these institutions that project their own budgets, are called sacred cows because we cannot interfere with their budgets. They will be subjected to a critical assessment during the parliamentary debate, and of course, we will move to ensure that proportionally, just as we are trying to save on government institutions, we will try to convince MPs from all parties that significantly less money will go to the Chancellery of the President and the IPN, let alone to those institutions whose existence is formally questionable and whose operation is even more questionable – he continued.

- I am speaking here about the Supreme Court, especially after today, after another attack by Ms. Manowska, I have consulted with the Minister of Justice. The matter is clear, a referral will be made on suspicion of committing a crime, not the first one, concerning Ms. Manowska, a former deputy minister under Mr. Ziobro, devoted to PiS with all her heart, who today has taken control of the Labour Chamber in the Supreme Court – stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk at a press conference.

- A government meeting is not a discussion club. We are there to make decisions after long weeks, sometimes months of work and discussions between ministries. Today I was looking at Minister Siekierski and he seemed a bit glum, he probably regretted his assessment of events a little, but that's my personal reflection - stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk at a press conference.

- Mateusz Morawiecki is friends with and was the superior of those who are now being sought by arrest warrants and detained. Since you held public office and are now Members of Parliament, it is your obvious duty to cooperate with the prosecution, with investigators, and in the future, also with the court, because it is the duty of persons holding public office to help clarify the scandal, not to cover it up - said the head of government.

He stated: - Mateusz Morawiecki should decide himself to explain in detail what he knew when these situations occurred […]. There can be no leniency. You are a public official, you were prime minister, you are a Member of Parliament, the party leader - you should help the Polish state in clarifying matters such as the RARS scandal.

- I have no doubts: if Mateusz Morawiecki and Jarosław Kaczyński themselves do not inform about the extent to which they feel jointly responsible, if they themselves do not start testifying and explaining all the details of this case, it means they are interested in covering up those who are currently being detained by law enforcement agencies - he emphasized.

- In reality, based on their reactions, we will know if they and the entire PiS are also responsible, or only those detained so far - he added.

- At the government meeting, we discussed this [COVID] issue. At the moment, there are no plans to introduce any restrictions. As you can imagine, we will respect both the experience and knowledge of experts. I will not be the one deciding how to regulate our lives in connection with the threat of an epidemic; that's what doctors are for. Unlike our predecessors, we will take their recommendations seriously - stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk at a press conference.

- It's not a matter of my will at all. Out of respect for you, sir, out of respect for the listeners, but also out of respect for my political environment, for truly exceptional individuals within this environment, with great experience, great knowledge, and also political acumen. I am the last person to rush ahead and say: here I want to be a presidential candidate, or I am suited for it. My parents and life, I will always emphasize this, have taught me patience and humility – stated Zbigniew Bogucki on RMF FM.

Bogucki: Kaczyński Leans Towards Choosing a Younger Candidate
- Of course, these two concepts are clashing within PiS today, and listening to President Kaczyński’s words, it seems that the concept of searching for a politician from a younger generation, a politician who will not be so easily attacked, for instance, for very difficult decisions made during the war, during COVID. Today, both Prime Minister Morawiecki and Minister Mariusz Błaszczak are often brutally attacked for decisions they made, which saved the economy, or human lives directly, or built Polish security, as in the case of Minister Mariusz Błaszczak. Today, they can be said to be unfairly, mendaciously attacked, so in the campaign, this candidate will have this difficulty, we are aware of that. Politics is also a matter of effectiveness – he continued.

- I think that today, looking at how the prosecution service managed by Mr. Bodnar operates, one can have doubts, or rather, there are many cases that make it difficult to accuse it of being independent. We will see how this matter unfolds; everyone uses their procedural options as they deem fit. We will see, it will be resolved within the framework of procedures – stated Zbigniew Bogucki on RMF FM.

- I am not the president’s defender, nor am I the president. I think the main concern here is that the prosecution service is not operating independently. I was a prosecutor for a few years, and a lawyer for almost a decade, and I will tell you, I do not know of a case where the extradition process, or the European Arrest Warrant process, has been handled in literally one or two days. This shows that we are dealing with very significant political pressure here – he continued.

- This is a government of professionals, a government that is doing a lot to fix what has been done wrong by the United Right governments over the last 8 years. These are people who have given their hearts to Poland, and I am convinced that it will be assessed so well at the end of the term - stated Borys Budka in an interview with Bogdan Rymanowski on Polsat News's "Gość Wydarzeń".

- I don't know what research Marshal Czarzasty has. The latest research I've seen shows a significant increase in trust for Prime Minister Tusk. In the top two positions regarding the trust ranking are KO politicians - he continued.
