Mastalerek:

Why Should I Dance in Giertych's Little Show? If There's Evidence, Let the Services Deal With It

With all due respect, I will not participate in the election campaign of KO and patron Giertych. I will not discuss it today, because I know it well, having been involved in election campaigns, that this is purely and solely a campaign ploy, and why should I dance in Roman Giertych's little show? I will answer as President Duda said during the National Security Council meeting – there are services, there is the prosecutor's office, there are courts. If there is evidence, let them deal with it. Suddenly, during an election campaign, after many months of investigation, tapes emerge, a witness comes forward. This is KO's election campaign – stated Marcin Mastalerek on TOK FM.

08:17

Mastalerek:

Even pro-government media admit Giertych's team is cornering Bodnar today

- Today, even media friendly to the government are writing about a certain conflict within the ruling camp, that Roman Giertych's team is effectively cornering Adam Bodnar. I will not get involved in these conflicts and this campaign - stated Marcin Mastalerek on TOK FM.

08:20

Mastalerek on Tyszka's Words: Why Didn't He Say This Sooner?

- Let him [Stanisław Tyszka] show the evidence, let him go to the services, to the prosecutor's office. Why didn't he say this earlier, only today, when he's running his own election campaign? I don't know that, these are not questions for me - stated Marcin Mastalerek in TOK FM.

08:26

Mastalerek:

Siemoniak Made a Mistake

- I believe Minister Siemoniak made a mistake by discussing this in the media, and he was criticized even by media that are generally favorable to him. I will not discuss this. I will only say one thing – first, information emerged from the ruling camp that Tomasz Szatkowski should not be an ambassador, and then they started looking for a stick to beat him with, and these documents that Minister Siemoniak is talking about are solely a stick to beat Tomasz Szatkowski with – stated Marcin Mastalerek on TOK FM.

08:32

Obajtek Will Not Appear Before the Investigative Committee:

I Was Not Effectively Summoned.

- I am a person who respects state institutions and Polish law, including parliamentary investigative committees. However, despite media reports, I have not been effectively summoned before the investigative committee. In accordance with the Act on the Committee, documents are delivered personally to the addressee against receipt. The receipt of the document should be confirmed by a handwritten, legible signature containing the full name on the return receipt. This situation did not occur - Daniel Obajtek wrote in a statement.

"Currently, I am conducting a campaign for the European Parliament as the leader of the PiS list in Podkarpacie. I consider being summoned before the committee a week and a half before the election silence as an element of political maneuvering and an attempt to discredit me. Especially since the issue concerns visas and workers for the Olefiny III investment. I wish to emphasize that these workers were not and are not employed by ORLEN, but by the investor, the consortium Hyundai Engineering Tecnicas Reunidas.

The Committee should therefore direct all questions to the representatives of the contractors. Unless the goal is to destroy another ORLEN investment, which is currently the largest petrochemical investment in Europe. Nevertheless, as a person who respects Polish law, I will be at the disposal of the investigative committee after the elections. I believe that then the committee members will more easily focus on substantive issues, becoming free from political, and at times emotional, premises.
"

08:50

Mastalerek Suggests Compromise on Ambassadors After the Elections:

Today PO Doesn't Want It Because They Have a Campaign.

- I think it will be possible [a compromise on ambassadors after the elections], but only because PO and the government don't want it today, as they are in an election campaign. Yes, I believe so, because the President's hand has been extended since December 11, when he agreed to the ambassador to the EU - stated Marcin Mastalerek in TOK FM.

Brudziński on Tusk: He has some kind of phobia. Since 2005, when he got trounced by Lech Kaczyński, something has gone wrong in his head
- I'm just waiting for the day I learn from Tusk, we've already had this: Hezbollah representatives, Jarosław Kaczyński turns out to be a Russian agent along with Antoni Macierewicz, today we learn that Jarosław Kaczyński heads a criminal conspiracy. There's no nonsense this man, who systematically gets beaten by Jarosław Kaczyński in 9 consecutive elections, won't say, because he has some kind of phobia. Since 2005, when he got trounced by the late Lech Kaczyński, something has gone wrong in his head - said Joachim Brudziński in an interview with Bogdan Rymanowski on the program "Gość Radia Zet".

09:04

Brudziński on Mraz's Recordings: They Should Be Covered by Investigation Secrecy; It Outrages Me That They Are Used for Pre-Election Polarization
- I don't have an ounce of trust in a man who orchestrated all of this and harbors a personal, one could say, even hatred towards Jarosław Kaczyński and Zbigniew Ziobro [...]. It outrages me that if these types of recordings, which should obviously be in the hands of the prosecution and be like investigation material under secrecy, are used in this way to try and polarize a few days before the election - said Joachim Brudziński on Radio Zet, when asked about Tomasz Mraz's recordings.

09:10

Brudziński:

I would be very happy if a woman became President of the Republic of Poland
- I am not ruling out any candidacy at this stage [...]. I would be very happy if a woman became President of the Republic of Poland, that is obvious - said Joachim Brudziński in an interview with Radio Zet, when asked about the PiS candidate in the presidential elections.

09:15

Brudziński on How PiS Might Vote on the So-Called 0% Mortgage:

We Were Never a Total Opposition, We Never Declared We Would Always Say No.
- We were never a total opposition, we never declared that we would always say no, we never declared that, I don't know, we would outlaw Civic Platform. If a project that appears on the table is a project we deem good, serving Poles, then we will support such projects - said Joachim Brudziński in Radio Zet, when asked if PiS would vote for the so-called 0% mortgage.

09:20

Sienkiewicz on Blocked Funds: The Blame Lies Entirely with the KRRiT, Treated by PiS as Their Internal Cell

- The blame lies entirely with the KRRiT, which has been taken over and treated by PiS as their internal party cell. To this, the President's veto was added, who stated that if they are not PiS-aligned radio stations, he will starve them out. As a result, we have problems - stated Bartłomiej Sienkiewicz on the PR1 program "Sygnały dnia" (Signals of the Day).

- These funds will be found (...) it is obvious that no responsible government would allow public media to go bankrupt - he added.

09:22

Brudziński on Possible Justice Fund Investigative Committee: The Goal Would Be to Kick Up Dust and Put on a Political Circus
- We are circling around the question of whether a parliamentary investigative committee should be established to examine this matter [the Justice Fund], so it is as obvious as the fact that day follows night, that the aim of such a committee would not be to clarify this matter, but simply to kick up political dust and put on a political circus - said Joachim Brudziński on Radio Zet.

09:22

Sienkiewicz:

Poland's Sovereign Translation is a Copy of the Saying – If They Catch You Red-Handed, Claim It's Not Your Hand

- The translation by Poland's Sovereign [party] is a copy of an old, thieving saying: if they catch you with your hand in the cookie jar, say it's not your hand. They are stubbornly denying it and explaining themselves like criminals (...) I am surprised by this stubborn denial by Poland's Sovereign party, because they know very well what they did. There is a fragment of testimony on the recordings where they are contemplating how they will explain themselves – stated Bartłomiej Sienkiewicz on the PR1 program "Sygnały dnia" (Signals of the Day).

09:25

Sienkiewicz:

The State Will Enforce Świrski's Suspension

- The state will enforce the suspension of the head of KRRiT, Maciej Świrski. I will not anticipate events, but a way will be found. One thing is certain, and here I am convinced that this decision will be enforced - stated Bartłomiej Sienkiewicz in the program "Sygnały dnia" on PR1.

09:44

Tyszka on the Justice Fund:

Morally Speaking, That Money Was Stolen.

- There is no doubt that morally, ethically, that money was stolen, but, you know, this is something that since I entered politics, and the Confederation as well, we have been pointing out as a pathology that has plagued the Third Polish Republic from the beginning. In that sense, all parties: PiS, PO, Lewica, TD, PSL, they treat taxpayer money as funds that can be transferred in a certain way to friendly organizations – stated Stanisław Tyszka in the program "Graffiti" on Polsat News.

09:46

Tyszka Names Names:

Proposals to Benefit from the Justice Fund Were Made to Me.
In the previous term, before I joined Confederation, I was in the Kukiz15 circle and PiS lacked votes for a majority. Consequently, every parliamentary seat was very important to them, and for many years they tried to convince me to cooperate with them, to support tax increases with them. I didn't want to do that, and to support this bad European policy, betraying the interests of Polish farmers and Poles by supporting Ms. von der Leyen's Green Deal. I was periodically, cyclically offered various kinds of proposals, and here lies an element of the very ugly, disgusting political corruption that prevails in Poland. For example, at one point I received an offer to be Deputy Marshal of the Sejm again – Stanisław Tyszka said on Polsat News.

- Various PiS factions lobbied, and at one point Paweł Kukiz and I received an invitation from Zbigniew Ziobro, with Janusz Kowalski acting as an intermediary. We discussed, among other things, European matters, the KPO, because apparently we had similar views on this, although they supported Morawiecki, who did not veto the Green Deal. And suddenly at that meeting, at one point Janusz Kowalski threw something out like, ,,there would be an opportunity to benefit” from the Justice Fund – he continued.

10:19

Kosiniak-Kamysz on the Eastern Shield:

I Count on the Cooperation of All Political Forces.

- This is a strategic operation for our government, for the security of the Republic of Poland. I count on the cooperation of all political forces, communities, authorities, and I also count on the engagement and cooperation of the local and self-government community. This is a measure of our responsibility. When establishing the main assumptions of our policy and forming a coalition after winning the elections, we based security on three pillars: the strength of the Polish army, strength in alliances, and social resilience. The Eastern Shield implements all these elements because each of the areas covered by these pillars, and the conditions for our security, will be involved. The Polish Army, led by the General Staff, will be primarily involved in planning, undertaking actions, and in the entire scenario and schedule of this challenge's functioning; the General Staff will play an enormously important role - stated Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz during the presentation of the "Eastern Shield".

10:20

Dworczyk on Mróz's Testimony:

The Matter Requires Clarification, Yet I Am Critical of the Political Theater Surrounding It.
- Undoubtedly, this matter is disturbing and requires clarification, however, the relevant services should clarify it. I am critical of the political theater being staged around this matter, including by Mr. lawyer Giertych, this gentleman who, as I understand, is a key witness and also appears publicly, talking about his testimony. All of this raises a number of doubts regarding credibility as well. However, of course, the matter should be investigated and clarified - said Michał Dworczyk in a conversation with Jacek Prusinowski on Radio Plus's program "Sedno Sprawy" (The Essence of the Matter), when asked about the testimony of Tomasz Mróz.

10:24

Kosiniak-Kamysz:

We Will Always Defend Every Centimeter of Polish Territory
The strategy and actions we are undertaking are aimed at protecting, defending, and ensuring the care of every centimeter, every square meter of the Republic of Poland's territory. We will always defend every centimeter of the Republic of Poland's territory, the inviolability of our borders. Many strategic initiatives are already underway today, including transformation, the establishment of a Transformation Command, unmanned forces, and changes in training procedures – all of this is being implemented today to strengthen our security – stated Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz during the presentation of "Eastern Shield".

10:29

Kosiniak-Kamysz:

Every Day We Will Act to Make Poland Even Safer

- Every day we will act to make Poland even safer. This is a multi-year process, just like the transformation of the Polish army; it didn't start today and it won't end tomorrow. It's a multi-year process that requires responsibility and financial commitment – stated Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz during the presentation of 'Eastern Shield'.

10:31

Dworczyk on Mraz's Testimony:

This Matter Will Certainly Not Help Us.
- I admit, I haven't listened to his statements [...] but what I've heard or read, by reading some reports on Twitter, makes me say that this matter is disturbing. [...] I will refer to the words of President Kaczyński [...] that this matter should be divided, as it were, into two parts: image-related issues, let's call them that, and formal-legal issues, meaning potential responsibility for breaking regulations. I simply don't know these regulations, so it's difficult for me to comment on this matter - said Michał Dworczyk on Radio Plus, when asked if he was outraged by Mraz's testimony. - This matter will certainly not help us - he continued, when pressed whether, in terms of image, the case would severely harm PiS in the campaign.

10:38

Dworczyk:

It Appears the Tusk Government Aims to Win Through Prosecutorial Actions Intended to Remove Politicians from Public Life
- One can get the impression that Donald Tusk's government has an idea to eliminate political opponents from public life in such a way that it doesn't want to win through its program, it doesn't want to win with concrete proposals, but rather through actions utilizing the prosecutor's office, which are aimed at removing some politicians from political life - said Michał Dworczyk on Radio Plus. - It's hard not to have these kinds of doubts when you see how the prosecutor's office is today withdrawing various requests for the lifting of immunity for people associated with Civic Platform. I don't want to mention names, but there are several issues, for example, as I heard, the request to lift Mr. Banaś's immunity has been withdrawn, while on the other hand, we are hearing how Law and Justice activists are supposedly Russian spies or an organized criminal group, and representatives of the ruling coalition are trying to stir up this kind of witch hunt - he continued.

11:14

Tomczyk Announces Legislation on Investments Crucial for State Security
- From this very spot, I also wish to announce legislation that will be submitted to the Sejm within the next few weeks. Like the Prime Minister, I am counting on the cooperation of all political forces here. This will be legislation concerning investments of particular importance to state security. These investments relate to military units, airports, and also matters connected with the Republic of Poland's border – stated Cezary Tomczyk at a press conference.

11:15

Tomczyk on the Eastern Shield:

The First Investments Will Appear in the First Quarter of Next Year.
- We want the Eastern Shield and the Baltic Defense Line to be a whole, to integrate these systems, so that it becomes one large defense line, which will simultaneously be the defense line of the EU and the defense line of NATO – said Cezary Tomczyk at a press conference. - The first investments, concerning hard infrastructure, will appear in the first quarter of next year, while this project is already underway in terms of planning at the General Staff, in terms of the appropriate organizational units responsible for military infrastructure, because there is no time to waste here, we simply need to act as quickly as possible – he continued.

13:18

Morawiecki on CPK:

Some confuse effect with cause in this discussion.
"Some in this discussion, in this debate, confuse effect with cause. They say: once we get rich in 5 or 10 years, says Mr. Lasek, Mr. Tusk, then maybe someday we will be able to build the Central Communication Port, the high-speed rail to Central Poland. Well, ladies and gentlemen, through our philosophy of action, we have shown that it is exactly the opposite, that it is investments and economic development and higher salaries that follow infrastructure. That we cannot wait for others to build it, and we, Poles, will be, what, last?" - said Mateusz Morawiecki at a press conference.

13:40

Morawiecki on the Importance of CPK for Security:

This is a Message Sent to Our NATO Allies, but Also to Russia.
- Also, when talking with either military personnel or prime ministers of other countries responsible for security [...] they point out how important the Central Communication Port (CPK) is. This is a message sent to our NATO allies, it is also a strategic message sent to Russia. We treat the security of the eastern flank, the eastern part of NATO, the European Union, with Poland at the forefront, we treat it as an absolute priority - said Mateusz Morawiecki at a press conference. - Therefore, do not fear the current government's implementation of this project. Let this project be realized above divisions. When this time ends and the voters allow us to return to power, I also make such a commitment, as I have said before, that in large, supra-term projects, which do not have a party stamp at all, we will also invite representatives of the opposition to participate in the management and decision-making of such projects as the Central Communication Port - he continued. - I also thank the representatives of parts of the opposition [currently the ruling coalition and parties supporting the government] from this place. Parts of the Left, especially the Razem party, but also parts of the PSL, I clearly see that there is a different perspective among people of good will, among people who have Poland in their hearts and solely Poland's interest, even though we differ in political views, and significantly so, but they are proponents of building this great flywheel for the Polish economy - he went on to say.

13:49

Morawiecki on the Justice Fund: It's Unknown If These Revealed Tapes Are Actually Real
- The Justice Fund, according to the division of tasks, according to the competencies within the Council of Ministers, was subordinate to the Ministry of Justice, and questions should have been directed there, because the responsibility for the Justice Fund was actually there - said Mateusz Morawiecki at a press conference. - What is being revealed to the public today must for now still await a certificate of authenticity, a writ of credibility; in short, it is unknown whether these revealed tapes are actually real, whether they can be evidentiary material - he continued.

13:55

Morawiecki:

Mraz is very interested in shifting responsibility onto others. He is seeking protection from the current government.
- The main witness himself, director of the department, Mraz, is very interested in shifting responsibility onto other people [...] as I read in the media about what is being revealed, I see that Mr. Mraz acts as if, forgive me for this colloquialism, by provoking his interlocutors, drawing them in, so to speak. For two years, according to some media outlets, he committed crimes, he was recording, and today he is certainly looking for some protection, he is seeking some cover under the umbrella of the current government – said Mateusz Morawiecki at a press conference. - I can comment on this by saying that neither this witness is credible, nor are these materials [...] let's wait for information from reliable sources – he continued.

13:58

Brudziński:

I Heard from Journalists That Giertych Brought Out the Whistleblower to Cover Up Trzaskowski's Decision to Remove Crosses
- More and more journalists, because I heard this from journalists, claim that Giertych brought out his whistleblower precisely to cover up a decision by Trzaskowski to remove crosses from public spaces, a decision that is very dangerous from the perspective of social emotions - said Joachim Brudziński at a press conference.

14:02

President Announces Decision After Meeting with Farmers

- At the request of the farmers, the President has decided that a representative of the protesting farmers will join the National Development Council, the council for agriculture, which is an advisory body where matters concerning agriculture are discussed in the Presidential Palace, and where Poland's position is currently being prepared for its EU presidency - stated Wojciech Kolarski at a press briefing,

14:07

Morawiecki Responds on Whether He Will Appear Before the Visa Scandal Commission
- Yes, I will appear before this visa commission, if the examination is conducted in accordance with the law, then I will answer questions, although of course I believe that this is part of the cabaret that Civic Platform is organizing at the end of this election campaign and I do not expect anything good - said Mateusz Morawiecki at a press conference.

15:01

PiS Caucus Submits Request for Additional Sejm Session

- The Marshal of the Sejm has received a request from the PiS Parliamentary Caucus regarding an additional session on Poland's participation in the migration pact. We demand that Donald Tusk explain who in the European Union was forcing, among others, Poland to accept illegal migrants and whether the main burdens resulting from the pact will indeed fall on Eastern European countries. Poles must know the truth about the threats stemming from the migration pact - wrote Mariusz Błaszczak on Twitter.

15:14

Sikorski Appeals to Hungary Not to Block Reimbursements for Poland

- Indeed, the fact that Hungary is blocking almost half of all EU decisions concerning Ukraine, and that it is particularly blocking the 8th reimbursement package to member states for aid delivered to Ukraine, is causing the highest level of irritation, including in Poland. We are entitled to a reimbursement of 450 million euros, and once these funds are transferred to the Polish Army's modernization fund, the Polish Army will be able to purchase new equipment with them. We appeal to Hungary to find another way to resolve its bilateral issues with Ukraine – stated Radosław Sikorski at a press briefing.

15:25

A New Civic Coalition Spot:

Your Government, Your Security.
The Civic Coalition government is fiercely fighting for the security of Poles. The East Shield is PLN 10 billion for the security of our eastern border. We are implementing the Equipment program, which means millions of zlotys for new armament and uniforms for Polish soldiers. We are restoring ABW (Internal Security Agency) delegations abolished by the government of Beata Szydło. We are strengthening the Intelligence Agency, allocating PLN 100 million to the service, because Poland must be prepared for danger. EUR 300 million for a Polish satellite program will bring us closer to building an iron dome that will protect Polish skies. Civic Coalition - Your Government, Your Security - says the narrator in the new KO clip.

15:27

Duda:

We are at the forefront of those who best utilized the opportunity offered by EU funds

- We are at the absolute forefront of those who best utilized the opportunity offered by EU funds. It is you, the local and regional government representatives, who have utilized European funds throughout all these years. Thank you for every euro well spent, for every investment, for every road that has been built, for every school - stated President Andrzej Duda during a meeting with local government representatives on the occasion of Local Government Day.

15:34

Duda:

We Must Respond to the Demands of European and Global Climate Protection Policy
We are still lacking major infrastructure, which small local governments, and even large voivodeships with their European funding, cannot manage. We are talking about the largest, exorbitant investments that are strategic and developmental in nature. We must respond to the demands of European policy, but also global policy related to climate protection. This policy unfortunately leads to the necessity of ceasing the use of our natural energy sources; ours is coal – stated President Andrzej Duda during a meeting with local government representatives on the occasion of Local Government Day.

15:50

Duda:

We Will Have to Fight for Our Interests in the EU

- We will have to fight for our interests in the European Union, we must have good representation, we need to understand what the interest of the Republic of Poland means, because the European Union is a conglomerate of interests. The essence of this is expressed, for example, in these investments (...) We need courage, we need to have Poland in our hearts, and understand that by being in European institutions, one is Polish and works for Poland. I ask you, Ladies and Gentlemen, for a wise choice in the European Parliament elections - stated President Andrzej Duda during a meeting with local government representatives on the occasion of Local Government Day.

17:34

Duda:

The End of My Service is Approaching. We Still Have Some Work to Do, and We Intend to Make the Best Use of This Period
- I am extremely pleased that I can be with you here in Konin, after several years of absence from such direct meetings, at a time when the end of my presidential service is slowly approaching. Slowly, because there are still 15 months left, so we still have some work to do and we intend to make the best use of this period. That is why today's conversation with you is also very important to me - said President Andrzej Duda in Konin.

18:00

Duda in Konin: "An Atomic Power Plant is Needed Here"
- The Green Deal, climate issues, environmental protection – these are things that matter to us. I say this with complete seriousness, with full responsibility. We care about sustainable development, about leaving a healthy natural environment and the greatest possible natural resources for our successors […] it is also a very important task for us. Leaving them this great resource that God has given us – I can boldly say so – as undamaged as possible. This is also our duty – said President Andrzej Duda in Konin. - Precisely to achieve this, we are talking today about energy transformation […]. I am saying this here, in Konin, which is a lignite coal basin, where this coal is currently used by a Polish power plant, supplying 8% of the country's energy needs. In this regard, we will have to make a very serious change, while pursuing European, but common-sense, policy – he continued. - An atomic power plant is needed here, so that there is energy, so that it is safe, and so that there is work – he emphasized.

18:06

Duda:

We Must Not Allow Major Investments to Be Halted. They Are Currently Under Threat
- We must not allow major investments in Poland to be halted. We must fight for this, both at the European and national levels. They are currently under threat – said President Andrzej Duda in Konin.

18:11

Duda:

I will fight for nuclear energy and CPK
- I assure you that until the last day of my presidency, I will fight for the implementation of these investments in modern nuclear energy in Poland, including here in the Konin region. I will fight for the Central Communication Port - declared President Andrzej Duda in Konin. - It cannot be the case that German or other interests will halt this investment, because they have large airports and don't want competition. [...] This is unfair. This airport must be built in Poland, and we must push for it to be built. I ask for your support - he appealed.

18:24

Duda Endorses Kolarski:

He Knows How to Fight for Polish Interests.
- The European Parliament elections are approaching. I ask you to go to these elections en masse. We need as many votes for Poland as possible in these elections. Vote for those who clearly and unequivocally declare that they are going to Europe to fight for Polish interests - said President Andrzej Duda in Konin. - I present to you my minister and my friend Wojciech Kolarski. […] He knows excellently, over these 9 years he has excellently learned and fought in the heat of conducting Polish international affairs […]. He shook hands with presidents from many countries. He sat at the table when we were conducting very difficult negotiations. He knows how to fight for Polish interests. I give him to you because I want you to entrust him with continuing to conduct Polish affairs - he continued.

18:32

Kobosko:

Russia's Puppets are Agents Who Act on Russia's Orders. PiS Does Many Things Out of Stupidity
- I wouldn't use such a term [that 'PiS are paid traitors, Russia's puppets']. [...] Russia's puppets can be understood as agents who do certain things on Russia's orders, in a nutshell. I have believed for years that PiS does many things out of stupidity, out of a lack of some sensible, optimistic, development-oriented vision for Poland, etc. In this context, one can of course say that these are actions that are in Russia's interest, but I won't hurl such accusations because I don't have such evidence – said Michał Kobosko in the "Popołudniowa rozmowa" (Afternoon Conversation) on RMF FM.

18:34

Kobosko on the Justice Fund Scandal: 'I Think Someone Will Go to Jail'
- I think that [someone] will go to jail, and certainly, there will be motions to lift immunity, the removal of immunity, and prosecutorial charges will be filed - said Michał Kobosko in RMF FM, when asked about the Justice Fund case.

18:41

Kobosko:

Once We Rebuild Housing Ideas as a Coalition, We Can Discuss Loans
- Once we rebuild housing ideas, the housing sector in Poland, as a coalition, then we can also discuss loans - said Michał Kobosko on RMF FM. - We understood this as an element of thinking about how to solve Poland's housing problems - he continued.

18:47

Kobosko on CPK: We Listen to Voters and Talk to Experts Who Say How to Build It Wisely, Not in the PiS Version
- On the one hand, we listen to people, we listen to our voters, who come and say: we want this construction [CPK], we want this investment, but on the other hand, we talk to experts who say how it could be built wisely, not in the PiS version, where thousands of kilometers of railway lines were supposed to be built, on which empty trains would run - said Michał Kobosko in RMF FM.

18:53

Kobosko on Health Contribution Changes:

We Will Not Abandon This Demand.
- This is my personal opinion; I don't see a reason for any preferential treatment, related to entrepreneurs having it better than full-time employees. Entrepreneurs... we want them not to have it as bad as PiS made it for them by introducing these changes concerning the health contribution - said Michał Kobosko on RMF FM. - We will discuss this; it is still ahead of us. We will not abandon this demand; I want to state this clearly - he continued, responding to the remark that PiS merely caused entrepreneurs to pay the same percentage of health contribution as full-time employees.

19:16

Jurgiel Departs Law and Justice (PiS): "An Expression of Non-Acceptance of the Party's Standards of Conduct"

Krzysztof Jurgiel, in a statement addressed to PiS leader Jarosław Kaczyński, announced his resignation from party membership.

- This statement is an expression of my non-acceptance of the standards of conduct within the Law and Justice party, which I can no longer condone. […] The past few days – exceptionally difficult for me personally – have revealed how the group, which was founded 30 years ago in opposition to the pathologies of the political life of that time, has changed. Therefore, with pain and regret, but in accordance with my conscience, I am leaving the Law and Justice party - Jurgiel writes.

- The loss of a majority for PiS in the Podlaskie Voivodeship Sejmik is regrettable for anyone who is loyal to right-wing values. However, it is a consequence of a lack of dialogue and a loss of public trust. […] Meanwhile, instead of reflecting on the reasons for the defeat, regional PiS activists have quickly begun to slander me with accusations of conduct or characteristics that have humiliated me in public opinion or led to a loss of trust […] by attributing actions to me that I did not undertake - the text continues.

- Moreover, the party leader, instead of listening to my opinion and considering the quality of the arguments presented to him, suspended my membership in PiS. […] I do not intend to condone such behavior, and my resignation from PiS membership does not constitute a statement of withdrawal from public life […]. I encourage all people of the right, with genuine right-wing values and views, to cooperate - he concluded.

Tusk Has Assembled a 'Muscular' Team for Europe
- The strategic goal of the Polish government, led by Donald Tusk, is to secure 100 billion euros for defense activities in Europe. This involves creating a unified air defense space across the entire continent - said Bartłomiej Sienkiewicz during a live broadcast on Civic Platform's social media. - This is how we intend to pursue our policy within the EU, and the European Parliament is essential for this. Together with my colleagues, I must convince European elites, our fellow parliamentarians from other countries, that the Russian threat is not just a threat in the East. The Russian threat, in reality, amounts to an attempt to break apart and destroy the EU - he continued. - We must defend the EU; this is how I understand my agenda. This is also how Donald Tusk assembled this team for Europe, which largely consists of rather 'muscular' players - he added.

Sienkiewicz:

I'm Impatient with the Pace of Justice's Mills, but This Requires a Lot of Work
- There's a saying that the mills of justice grind slowly. I too am impatient with the pace of these mills grinding, but on the other hand, I know that to punish someone, to gather evidence that will hold up in court, requires a lot of work - said Bartłomiej Sienkiewicz during a live broadcast on Civic Platform's social media. - They had 8 years to hide their misdeeds, to rubber-stamp them, and pretend nothing happened. We have been in power for 5 months, but this steamroller is moving, and I cannot imagine any other scenario than that both Obajtek and Kurski will bear full responsibility determined by an independent court - he continued.

Work Underway on New Media Order. Once the President Changes, It Will Be Enacted
- In my opinion, the National Media Council is a non-existent body, it is essentially not a body, it is not constitutionally anchored in any way. Mr. Świrski is increasingly discrediting himself week by week, but calmly - work on the new media order is ongoing in the Ministry of Culture. It will probably be published this year. Once the President changes, it will be enacted and signed by the new president - said Bartłomiej Sienkiewicz during a live broadcast on Civic Platform's social media.

Funds from the Justice Fund were allocated to a media project intended to help Sovereign Poland win public opinion

- Funds from the Justice Fund were allocated to a media project intended to help Sovereign Poland win public opinion. They were caught lying multiple times, because these funds were supposed to be designated for helping victims of crime, secondly for crime prevention, and thirdly, so that individuals released from prison would not return to it - stated Piotr Zgorzelski on TVP Info.

Today we must restore trust in state institutions
- Today we must restore trust in state institutions. If they are informing on each other, then there is no better justification for the commission on Russian influence, including during the PiS government's tenure - stated Piotr Zgorzelski on TVP Info.

Domański:

Supply is the Main Cause of the Housing Crisis in Poland

- Generally, I believe that at this moment, the most important thing is for us to focus our discussion on the real estate market, on the housing market, on the supply side. We need to create new solutions to build more housing in Poland, significantly more, and we will certainly support such solutions. This primarily concerns the issue of releasing land, which is often used inefficiently. Opening up special financial tools, also for local governments, thanks to which more housing will be built where it is truly needed – stated Andrzej Domański on Radio Zet.

Domański on the Fiscal Council: It Will Introduce Greater Transparency in Public Finances
The Fiscal Council will be a very important body; it will effectively oversee the Minister of Finance in the budget preparation process, specifically by issuing opinions on the macroeconomic assumptions contained in the budget law. The council will be composed of representatives of various stakeholders, various groups, in order to accurately reflect their perspective on the economy and their perspective on the budget. This is a body that already operates in fact in all other EU member states, because it supports transparency in public finances. For 8 years of PiS rule, public finances were successively complicated, and various solutions were introduced that facilitated spending money outside the budget. Currently, over 80% of state purchases are made outside the state budget, and therefore, as we announced during the election campaign, as we promised our voters, we are improving transparency – said Andrzej Domański on Radio Zet.

Domański on the Energy Voucher: I Can't Imagine the President Not Signing It

- Let's start with the fact that PiS completely neglected energy transformation in Poland for 8 years, and this is the main reason why energy prices in Poland are high. We have expensive coal-based energy, with a low share of renewable energy sources. The construction of a nuclear power plant, in practice, did not seriously get started during PiS's years in government, so that's the situation we inherited. I can't imagine the President not signing the act, thanks to which Poles' bills will increase significantly less than they would if the President did not sign it – stated Andrzej Domański on Radio Zet.

Zgorzelski:

We Must All Switch to War Preparation Mode

- We must all switch to war preparation mode, because as Donald Tusk rightly said in one of his interviews, we are living in pre-war times (...) The West, to which we also belong, fell in love with peace and did not notice that the bear was waking up beyond the eastern border - stated Piotr Zgorzelski on TVP Info.
