Bielan on the Russian Commission: A Pre-Election Stunt, Typical of Tusk

- I think this is a typical pre-election stunt, typical of Donald Tusk, who wants to stir up emotions. In general, the very fact that Donald Tusk is hunting for Russian influence in our country is reminiscent of a situation where, in Germany, Gerhard Schröder suddenly started hunting for Russian influence. The Russian press called Donald Tusk the Russian man in Warsaw, after his visit to Moscow. After Putin's visit to Warsaw, Tusk said that he would not allow anyone to throw sand in the gears of cooperation, good cooperation with Russia - stated Adam Bielan on PR1's "Sygnały dnia" (Signals of the Day).

07:33

Bielan:

No Prime Minister in Recent Years Has Been More Pro-Russian Than Tusk

- There has been no prime minister in recent years more pro-Russian than Donald Tusk, so this is like the situation where a fleeing thief shouts 'catch the thief!' Donald Tusk wants to distract from his pro-Russian views - stated Adam Bielan on "Sygnały dnia" PR1.

07:50

Bielan:

Merkel's Actions, and Earlier Schroeder's, Led to War in Ukraine; Their Political Friends in Poland Were the Left and Tusk

- If not for Merkel's actions, if not for the construction of the Nord Stream pipeline, there would be no war in Ukraine. Le Pen did not build the Nord Stream pipeline; without the Nord Stream pipeline, Putin would not have invaded Ukraine. It was Merkel's actions, and earlier Schroeder's, that led to the war in Ukraine, and their political friends in Poland were the Left and Donald Tusk – stated Adam Bielan on PR1's "Sygnały dnia" (Signals of the Day).

08:22

Belka:

Poland's Left Suffers Because Its Leaders Prioritized National Interests Over Party Agendas for Years
- I am afraid [for the condition of the left]. These are not just problems for the left in Poland, although in Poland the left continues to suffer because, in essence, for many years the leaders of the left pursued policies that were very much in line with the country's interests, but not very much in line with narrowly defined party interests - said Marek Belka in an interview with Konrad Piasecki on TVN24. - Most of the left's flagship postulates have been taken over by the political mainstream, let's call it that, including liberals and Christian democracy. Hence, it seeks other political niches. Hence, these lifestyle issues are so important - he continued. - In Poland, the most important, and perhaps not fully utilized, asset of the left is its consistent pro-European stance, where all other political parties are hedging their bets - he assessed. - I am deeply convinced that in these elections, the result will be better than the result in the local government elections, but that is not a very high bar. But it will be better - he added.

08:27

Jurgiel:

Slander from PiS Chairman Surprised Me. I Did Not Participate in Coalition Building in Podlaskie Voivodeship

- Slander from the PiS chairman surprised me. I did not participate in building the coalition in the Podlaskie Voivodeship. I did not declare my intention to run in the European Parliament elections. It is also untrue that I was seeking revenge; revenge is a very strong word, this is slander, and all of this will have to be clarified. I did not lobby for a start in the European Parliament - stated Krzysztof Jurgiel on Polsat News's "Graffiti" program.

08:30

Jurgiel:

Sasin brought the party's privatization policy to ruin, putting people on lists who shouldn't have been there

- Sasin, who has been operating in recent years, and this is not just my opinion, but also the opinion of our activists, has brought the party's privatization policy to ruin, putting people on lists who shouldn't have been there, while eliminating individuals who could have secured an additional mandate, because that was a real possibility – stated Krzysztof Jurgiel in the "Graffiti" program on Polsat News.

08:32

Jurgiel:

I will take legal steps to clarify this

- I will take legal steps to clarify this. We have civil law in Poland, protection of personal rights. If nothing changes in the president's assessment, then I think I should do so, although with great reluctance, I must clarify this because the opinion of our electorate, the people of Podlasie, matters to me - stated Krzysztof Jurgiel in the program "Graffiti" on Polsat News.

08:39

Belka:

It's Hard for This Engine to Function Well When There's Constantly a Brake in the Presidential Palace
- I am certainly a big supporter of the October 15th coalition, and I have great respect for Donald Tusk, but I also see that he himself and the government are somewhat in a race with Jarosław Kaczyński - Marek Belka stated in TVN24's "Rozmowa Piaseckiego" program. When asked if the Prime Minister could break free from this race and weave modernization visions, rather than constantly "bashing" with Kaczyński, he replied: - Yes, but in the meantime, you lose elections, and Donald Tusk would no longer want to lose elections. - First and foremost, it's terribly difficult for this engine to function well when there's constantly a brake in the Presidential Palace. These rotten compromises by Bodnar with Duda, criticized for understandable reasons, concerning, for example, the National Council of the Judiciary - he continued.

08:41

Bartoszewski on Duda's Post: I Consider the Comparison of the Iranian President to President Kaczyński Highly Inappropriate
- Please note what condolences or expressions of sympathy were sent by the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Polish government, and the governments of European and other countries; they were very formal, polite [...] but more restrained. And I consider the comparison of the Iranian president to President Kaczyński to be highly inappropriate - said Władysław Teofil Bartoszewski in a conversation with Bogdan Rymanowski on the program "Gość Radia ZET".

08:49

Bartoszewski:

Hołownia Should Remain Sejm Marshal Until the End of the Term. This is the Decision of Poland 2050, or Potentially the Entire Third Way
- Yes - Władysław Teofil Bartoszewski replied on Radio ZET to the question of whether Hołownia should remain Sejm Marshal until the end of the term. - This is the decision of Poland 2050 or, potentially, the entire Third Way. In my opinion, the Marshal is doing his job well, I observe him regularly because I sit in the Sejm benches and he is doing it very well, he should continue - he continued. - I see no reason to change, we will see what decisions are made at the party summits. [...] The coalition partners, meaning the four leaders, are meeting, discussing, and considering. I believe that Mr. Szymon Hołownia should remain [Sejm Marshal until the end of the term] - he further stated.

08:55

Bartoszewski:

We Did Not Consider Expelling the Israeli Ambassador. He Should Use Twitter Less
- We did not consider expelling the ambassador [of Israel], however, I must say that the misfortune of our times, also in international relations, is that we have social media, and some believe that instead of conducting diplomacy in a classic manner, it should be done through social media - said Władysław Teofil Bartoszewski on Radio ZET. - I think the ambassador should use this tool [Twitter] less, because the last post was criticized even by the Auschwitz-Birkenau museum - he continued.

08:57

Belka:

Nuclear Power and Renewables - Green Light. CPK - Not Anymore
- Nuclear power - yes, there's no discussion. RES - of course [green light]. But [CPK] no longer - said Marek Belka in "Rozmowa Piaseckiego" on TVN24. - Regarding CPK, the situation is as follows: 20 years ago, when I was prime minister, we seriously discussed the idea of a transcontinental airport somewhere between Warsaw and Łódź. However, since then, many things have happened, and other hubs have emerged. We often talk about Berlin, because the anti-German argument sells well, but the most important hub in the vicinity is Istanbul Airport, which captures the lion's share of the potential long-haul aircraft market - he continued. - LOT, moreover, is in a rather difficult situation, and for CPK to be a living organism, it needs a host - he added.

09:06

Bartoszewski Asked if PSL Will Support the Left's Hate Speech Ban Bill: It Depends on How It's Done. The Devil Truly Lies in the Details Here
- It depends on how it's formulated, because many of the bills proposed by the Left, which are theoretically very positive, contain certain formulations that are unacceptable to us. It depends on how it's done – said Władysław Teofil Bartoszewski on Radio ZET, when asked whether the PSL would support the bill on banning hate speech that the Left wants to introduce.

- Yes, for example [I fear that such a law will hit freedom of speech]. The devil truly lies in the details here, I would have to read the bill to comment on it – he continued.

09:13

Belka:

The Złoty Gives Us Nothing Positive
- Both the Prime Minister and the Minister of Finance are afraid to talk about this [Poland's entry into the euro zone]. [The Złoty] gives us nothing, it gives us nothing positive - said Marek Belka in "Rozmowa Piaseckiego" on TVN24.

- It does, however, give us at least two things: the cost of economic development is higher here by 2-2.5 percentage points. Capital is more expensive, that's billions of zlotys. Furthermore, our own currency means the necessity of accumulating foreign exchange reserves. People are proud that we have gold bars, but these are costs, like pouring water into sand - he continued.

- The euro is no panacea. One can develop economically excellently both within the euro zone and outside the euro zone - he pointed out.

09:47

Dziemianowicz-Bąk:

The Commission for the Investigation of Russian Influence Should Clarify Foreign Influence, Not for Show

– [The Commission for the Investigation of Russian Influence] should focus on its purpose, meaning analyzing, investigating, searching for, and revealing Russian influence on Polish politics, on the Polish public sphere, on the Polish economy, on any sphere where such influence might occur. I am, of course, presenting hypothetical influences here, because this commission, by acting not for show, not to create a spectacle, but to clarify these influences, the pathways of these influences, the involvement of either the largest political parties or smaller groupings, should simply clarify this – stated Agnieszka Dziemianowicz-Bąk in the program "No Evasion" on PR3.

09:47

Dziemianowicz-Bąk:

As the Left, We Have Long Advocated for Steps Towards Building a European Army
The European project, which aims to protect the security of the European Union and the security of Europe, including Poland's security, is undoubtedly in Poland's national interest. We, as the Left, have long advocated for a debate, a discussion, and for taking steps towards building a European army, deepening this cooperation, including military cooperation, because in a situation of threat, external threat, a serious threat, individual member states and individual defense systems may prove insufficient – said Agnieszka Dziemianowicz-Bąk on PR3.

09:48

Dziemianowicz-Bąk on potential Left candidates for presidential elections: Kotula, Scheuring-Wielgus
I would really like this upcoming presidential campaign to be about normality, about how to restore normality. Not to turn absolutely normal, everyday issues into ideological or political topics, and that's why I think it's important for the Left to put forward a candidate, or a female candidate for president, figures like, for example, Katarzyna Kotula, the minister for equality, like Joanna Scheuring-Wielgus, the deputy minister of culture, like many other women from the Left – stated Agnieszka Dziemianowicz-Bąk in PR3.

10:04

Żukowska on Bartoszewski's Words: If the Third Way Doesn't Uphold the Agreement, The Left Should Leave the Coalition

- If the Third Way doesn't uphold the agreement, The Left should leave the coalition. This is The Left's decision - Anna-Maria Żukowska wrote on Twitter.

Trzecia Droga Presents 6 Guarantees for the European Parliament Elections:

Security and Poland’s Economic Development Are Priorities
- Trzecia Droga represents a pragmatic path to Europe. We are not cowards who want to flee Europe because they don’t like it. We are not those who say that everything in Europe works wonderfully, is the best, and is exactly as it should be. We are pragmatic, which means we say “no” to solutions that go against the expectations of countries like Poland, our sensibilities, our way of functioning in this part of the world and in history - said Szymon Hołownia at a press conference in Warsaw. - But we are not turning our backs on Europe; on the contrary, we want to be in it, we want to co-create it, build it, and develop it. We want to take responsibility together with our EU partners for good solutions developed jointly. Trzecia Droga’s priorities in the EU […] will be Poland’s security and economic development. […] Internal Polish disputes will not bring us closer to achieving either of these goals. Today, in Europe, we need professionals, capable politicians, negotiators. People who know how to look after Polish interests - the leader of Polski 2050 continued. Szymon Hołownia and Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz presented their coalition’s “6 Guarantees” for the EP elections: “Europe Prepared for Border Defence”. - The EU must establish a new council for security and defense industry, and appoint a new commissioner. This will be an emanation of these actions, but the most important thing is securing the budget – 100 billion euros for the defense industry in the EU in the coming years - said Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz. “Time for Polish Nuclear Power”. - We will lobby for nuclear energy to be treated in the EU, in countries like Poland, as a clean energy source, and consequently, for the system of subsidies for clean energy sources to encompass the development of nuclear technologies in Poland. We are talking about large-scale nuclear power, which can no longer wait, and small modular reactors - said Szymon Hołownia. “Green Deal Needs Improvement”. - This Green Deal policy, the ambitious goals the EU wants to set for itself, are achievable, but through a completely different path. It should be done today through a system of incentives that will allow people to believe that it is genuinely in their own interest. […] We say “no” to the ban on using gas boilers. We say that fees related to ETS2 […] must be postponed. The EU must understand Polish specificity; we are not against the green transformation, but due to our history and long-standing delays, we must have a specific path towards it - Szymon Hołownia continued. “Polish Farmers with Equal Opportunities in Europe”. - We want to strengthen the Common Agricultural Policy, but not in the way Janusz Wojciechowski did. […] We managed to block those bad ideas of PiS’s Commissioner Wojciechowski in the EU […]. We will introduce protection for Polish farms and Polish small businesses - said Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz. “Europe Invests in Health”. - The pharmaceutical industry needs to be rebuilt. Genetic code may determine what illness you will develop, but your postal code should never determine what therapy you will receive. It is very important for us that therapy, especially for oncological diseases, is the same in France and in Poland - the head of PSL continued. “Digitally Competitive Europe”. - First and foremost, funding for broadband internet in Poland. […] Another matter is for Poland to be integrated into this somewhat delayed, but smart after the event, European program of developing our skills in chip production - stated Szymon Hołownia.

Morawiecki and PiS Politicians Continue Signature Collection:

We Face Even Further Increases.

- We are meeting here on our route, during which we are collecting signatures from Poles. These are signatures for a very important civic initiative – “Stop Price Hikes from July.” We are dealing with a wave of soaring prices; just look at one of the most popular stores in Poland, Biedronka, at how prices have risen between March and May, during which time the government raised VAT, when it reinstated the 5% VAT on food. These increases were around 17-18%. In just 2 months. You might say – that’s one store. But please look at other stores, at Lidl, at shops and markets like this one here in Warsaw, where prices are rising everywhere, they are rising because the rulers, unfortunately, agreed to an increase in VAT, to the reinstatement of that 5% VAT, but now we face even further increases. From July 1st, the government is gifting us price increases for electricity, gas, and heating energy ranging from 30 to 40%, and even more – stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki at a press conference.

14:18

Trzaskowski Announces New Deputy Mayor of Warsaw

- I stand here with my colleagues, but we have one change, namely, Adriana Porowska has been invited to our team to strengthen us. As you know, she is a social worker, and for many years she has worked with excluded individuals, especially those experiencing homelessness, as the president of the Camilian Social Aid Mission. Therefore, as we have announced, she will be responsible for social policy in the city hall for many, many months, for which, of course, she is very well prepared. As for the rest of my colleagues, you have known them for many, many years: Deputy Mayor Renata Kaznowska, Deputy Mayor Aldona Machnowska-Góra, as well as Deputy Mayor Tomasz Bratek, and also Maria Wasiak, who holds the position of City Secretary – stated Rafał Trzaskowski at a press conference.

14:22

Trzaskowski Announces Reductions in Waste Fees

- I would also like to state clearly that all these promises made during the election campaign, and even after it, will of course be fulfilled. As there have been quite a few questions regarding two of them, I will address them immediately. As I announced, ladies and gentlemen, in mid-March, we will reduce waste fees for all residents of the capital this year. This will be a temporary reduction, as I mentioned: 15% less for single-family housing and 30% less for multi-family housing – said Rafał Trzaskowski at a press conference.

14:32

Hołownia:

Dropping Article 7 is a Crucial Signal We've Returned to the Right Path in Relations with Europe
I am very pleased that we are discussing matters of utmost importance for Poland and for Europe on the eve of the European Parliament elections, which will shape the future of our continent for the next five years. These are very significant times. I spoke with the President about matters falling under her responsibility within the European Commission, namely the common digital market, and what Poland can do to become a rapidly growing player in areas such as data management, the semiconductor market, and everything related to cloud technology – stated Szymon Hołownia during a press briefing with the Executive Vice-President of the European Commission, Margrethe Vestager.

The matter that fills us with optimism, namely the discontinuation of Article 7 proceedings concerning Poland, is a very important signal for us that we have returned to the right path in our relations with Europe. This is a very important signal also for business, a very important signal for stabilizing the situation in this area, which is so crucial for the entire European Union and for which we here in Poland bear responsibility – he added.

Dworczyk:

PO Will Not Have Its Marshal in Lower Silesia

- In Lower Silesia, PO will not have its marshal! Chaos and mess... - wrote Michał Dworczyk on Twitter.

Tusk Issues Order on Russian Influence Commission; Chairman's Name Revealed
- I have issued an order regarding the establishment of a commission to investigate Russian and Belarusian influence on the internal security and interests of the Republic of Poland between 2004 and 2024. The chairman, the head of this commission, will be the head of the Military Counterintelligence Service, General Jarosław Stróżyk, upon the motion of the Minister of Justice, who is the minister responsible for this commission - Prime Minister Donald Tusk said at a press conference. - In his rich career, he has been a diplomat, a military officer, a military commander, deputy head of NATO intelligence, and also a scientist, a doctor of security sciences, a highly competent individual. His task will be to coordinate the commission, which will consist of 9 to 13 participants – a final decision on this will be made next week. Candidates for the commission will be recommended by the minister responsible for internal affairs and coordination of special services, meaning Minister Tomasz Siemoniak will recommend two individuals for this commission, the Minister of National Defence, the minister responsible for culture and national heritage [...] we will also want to examine potential influence on the media. [...] The Minister of Finance, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, state assets and informatization - he continued. - I will be expecting the first report certainly after the elections, so as not to mix the commission's work with the election campaign. [...] These will not be media interrogations; there will be no media present during the commission's work. However, we will systematically inform about the results of the commission's work. In the summer, we will have the first partial report. I hope that by the end of the year, most of the matters that have agitated public opinion in recent years and were related to almost mysterious circumstances [...] will find their description, not necessarily an explanation, because this is not an investigative committee [...] the likely outcome of this commission's work will be referrals to the prosecutor's office and opinions on why these matters were not investigated in previous years, regardless of which government was in power at the time - he further stated.

15:51

Tusk:

Soon the Internal Security Agency will have the same regional structure as before PM Szydło's changes
- At the College for Special Services, I received detailed information on the utilization of additional funds that I transferred to the Internal Security Agency (ABW) and the Intelligence Agency (AW), as well as information on the reconstruction of these regional ABW structures - Prime Minister Donald Tusk said at a press conference. - As a result of the actions already taken, I can say that soon the ABW will have exactly the same regional structure as before the changes that were introduced during Prime Minister Szydło's tenure. I am talking about the liquidation and reduction of those parts of the ABW that worked in the field - he continued. - This is, moreover, the beginning of strengthening the special services, including the AW and ABW. These needs are greater; I spoke with the heads of both services today, and we will continue to work on strengthening the capabilities of both the AW and the ABW - he continued.

15:59

Sabotage and Diversion Attempts in Poland and Neighboring Countries: Tusk Announces Further Arrests
- Cases are ongoing, and our services are working very efficiently when it comes to these attempts at sabotage and diversion on the territory of Poland and neighboring countries. Lithuania and Latvia are mainly threatened here, which I have also spoken about publicly. Yesterday I informed about the arrest of 9 people, and three more people were detained last night - said Prime Minister Donald Tusk at a press conference. - We really have the situation under control, and the effectiveness of the services' actions is truly impressive, not just in my opinion. But they must operate discreetly. And therefore, above all, I would like us not to speculate in the public sphere about which of the events taking place in Poland are perhaps the result of the actions of foreign services, including Russian and Belarusian services - he continued. - We also have the right to assume today, perhaps that's the wrong word, but we are checking leads, they are quite probable, that Russian services also had something to do with the widely reported fire on Marywilska Street, and proceedings in this matter are ongoing - he added.

16:02

Tusk:

Over 90% of migrants illegally crossing the Polish-Belarusian border have Russian visas
- Today we received confirmation - and this is, of course, a disturbing scenario - that the pressure on Poland's eastern border is not spontaneous migration of people fleeing from various countries. At this moment, this data is truly very worrying. Over 90% of those who are illegally crossing the Polish border are people with Russian visas. This is different from how it was at the beginning of this migratory pressure, the tensions on the Polish-Belarusian border - Prime Minister Donald Tusk said at a press conference. - Here we have no doubts anymore, and this is not my intuition, these are facts gathered also by our services. Today it is the Russian state - and it is the Russian state, not some black market business - that stands behind the organization of recruitment, transport, and then attempted smuggling of thousands of people from countries, and there has also been a change here, because currently these are mainly countries like Somalia, Eritrea, Yemen, Ethiopia - he continued. - Russian missions there are working at full capacity in recruiting these groups. They then, using the intermediation of one of the Arab states, travel from that state, most often to Moscow by air, and from there, in an organized manner, by road or rail transport, they reach Belarus - he continued. - Currently, several locations have been identified on the territory of Russia where large groups of such organized migrants are concentrated, we are talking about thousands of people - he conveyed.

16:10

Support for Entrepreneurs Who Lost Stalls in Marywilska Fire. Tusk Announces Amounts
- In connection with Marywilska, we spoke for several days with Minister Dziemianowicz-Bąk, with Minister Jakub Jaworowski [...] on how we can quickly help those who lost their jobs or their stalls [...] at Marywilska due to the fire. Starting this Thursday, i.e., May 23rd, entrepreneurs [...] can apply for support at the headquarters of the Social Insurance Institution [...]. The support will include immediate financial assistance for sole proprietorships, which will be PLN 2,000 [...]. The funds come from the Industrial Development Agency - Prime Minister Donald Tusk said at a press conference. - They will also be able to apply, without any unnecessary bureaucratic procedure, for co-financing, and this concerns co-financing for entrepreneurs for a portion of employee salaries, up to half of the minimum wage for three months. [...] Entrepreneurs affected by the fire will be able to submit applications for relief and waivers of social insurance contributions - he continued.

16:22

Complaint Filed with Prosecutor's Office Regarding Szczucki. "Hired 6 Employees Who Performed No Work at the Government Legislation Centre. They Were Paid 900,000 PLN"
- In the final months of Law and Justice's tenure, the head of the Government Legislation Centre was Mr. Krzysztof Szczucki. [...] During the national parliamentary campaign [...] Mr. Krzysztof Szczucki, while head of the Government Legislation Centre, hired 6 employees for those few months who performed no work here, neither at the RCL nor in any other institution subordinate to it. They didn't even log into computers. These 6 employees organized the election campaign for Mr. Szczucki, and in those few months, they were paid 900,000 PLN. We filed the complaint, the request with the prosecutor's office three days ago - said Prime Minister Donald Tusk at a press conference.

16:27

Tusk on ICC Prosecutor's Decision: Equating the Israeli Prime Minister with Hamas Leaders is Unacceptable
- It is absolutely clear that we are dealing with an unacceptable political symmetry. A dramatic question arises: why did no one consider, before the war in Gaza broke out, issuing an arrest warrant for the leaders of Hamas, a terrorist organization - Prime Minister Donald Tusk said at a press conference. - I am not a fan of Prime Minister Netanyahu; I have known him for a very long time. I can say that at the beginning of his premiership, years and years ago, we were even, in a sense, political friends, but Prime Minister Netanyahu's political evolution makes me very skeptical of what he is doing. I believe he is largely co-responsible for this new phase of the crisis in the Middle East, not to mention his domestic policy - he continued. - But the attempt to equate the Prime Minister of Israel with the leaders of a terrorist organization, including Hamas, and involving international institutions in this, whose neutrality and objectivity should be their main asset, is absolutely unacceptable - he stressed.

16:36

Mining Poland's Eastern Border: Tusk's Unambiguous Response to Morawiecki's Appeal
- No, for now, we do not foresee mining [the border] and we do not foresee a Polish initiative regarding changes to international law on this matter. However, we guarantee that Poland's eastern border will be the most modernly guarded border in Europe. Furthermore, we will largely do this with European funds, not just Polish ones. All of Europe must contribute to these modern installations - stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk at a press conference, when asked about the idea of mining Poland's eastern border, an appeal made by Mateusz Morawiecki.

19:41

Dolnośląskie Regional Assembly Elects Marshal; KO Candidate Fails to Gain Support
- Paweł Gancarz, leader of the Lower Silesian PSL, is the new Marshal of Lower Silesia. Congratulations! 28 votes "FOR" - wrote Izabela Bodnar on Twitter. Earlier, Michał Jaros from PO did not secure the required support in the vote.

20:36

Gramatyka Upholds the Third Way’s Stance:

The Special Services are for Pursuing Agents.

- That commission was indeed unconstitutional. It defied all principles concerning the judiciary and the bodies responsible for upholding the rule of law in Poland. There is no point in following that path. When this commission is appointed by the Prime Minister through an ordinance, and it operates within the Council of Ministers, it might fulfill some of its tasks. However, it is the police, special services, the prosecutor's office, and ultimately the courts that are responsible for pursuing agents of influence, foreign intelligence, and criminals in Poland – stated Michał Gramatyka on the program "Gość Wydarzeń" on Polsat News.

20:37

Müller on the New Composition of the Russian Commission:

I Have Doubts.

- I have doubts, because these nominations inherently have a political character. There is nothing wrong with the Prime Minister appointing a new head of services, but generally speaking, if this is to be an element of verification, then it is a person who, this one or others who will be appointed, are very often people who participated in the policy of resetting relations with Russia. So how are these people supposed to verify this type of action – stated Piotr Müller on the program "Gość Wydarzeń" on Polsat News.

20:37

Gramatyka on Bringing Glapiński Before the State Tribunal:

It’s Not Good for Emotions to Play a Role

The coalition knows perfectly well what to do with this matter [regarding President Glapiński], but it’s not good for emotions to play a role in this. In this matter, as in any matter concerning constitutional responsibility, hard arguments should prevail – said Michał Gramatyka on Polsat News.

I have a deep hope that in this entire process, only substantive arguments will be taken into account, no political ones. We won’t get far with emotional or political arguments, and it seems to me that there are enough substantive arguments to bring President Glapiński before the State Tribunal – he continued.

20:44

Tomczyk on the Russian Commission's Work:

It Also Concerns Our Governments.
„It Also Concerns Our Governments.” Tomczyk on the Russian Commission's Work - This [Russian] commission also concerns governments from our time, let's be clear about that. Secondly, it has no investigative powers. Thirdly, it doesn't consist of politicians; we want it to consist of experts – stated Cezary Tomczyk on TVP Info. - The issue of Russian influence on Poland is a fact. It's a fact that was recently proven in the case of Judge Szymydt, but a whole series of things happening today in the Polish state, various sabotage attempts, occurring in Poland today, are issues that must be clarified – continued the Deputy Minister of National Defence.

20:56

Tomczyk on the Barrier:

We Did Not Negate the Essence of Border Protection.

- We did not negate the essence of border protection. Such words were never uttered; Prime Minister Donald Tusk always spoke very clearly that the external border of the EU, Poland's border, is the same and must be defended, as that is the state's duty. However, from the very beginning, we opposed the makeshift solution that was there. This fence, this barrier that was erected, is simply ineffective - stated Cezary Tomczyk on TVP Info.
