Zgorzelski:

The Constitutional Tribunal is Infected with Illegality. It Must Be Done As Soon As Possible
There is a political decision that this needs to be changed. There is no doubt about this not only within the October 15 coalition, but above all among the citizens, because they see that the Constitutional Tribunal is simply infected with illegality, and there is no doubt about that. So, if we know that it needs to be done, it is only a matter of the so-called calendar. For now, in the Sejm's schedule, as you know, Mr. Editor, this point is not included, but that doesn't mean it cannot be added. In my opinion, it must be done as soon as possible, because the Constitutional Tribunal is an institution deprived of authority, acting on political orders, and therefore it lacks what is always most important in the judiciary, namely the attribute of impartiality - stated Piotr Zgorzelski in an interview with Grzegorz Kępka on Polsat News' 'Graffiti'.

08:11

Zgorzelski:

If the President Isn't Convinced, Even by the Premises of the Constitutional Tribunal Law, It's Difficult to Take the Risk

- There might be a situation where the leadership of the October 15 coalition convenes, good solutions will be presented, even initial ones, resolutions concerning personnel, simply the dismissal of those judges who are surrogate judges. This can be done in stages, it can be done in one go, but one must know that the law ends its course at the president's signature. Therefore, if the president isn't convinced, even by the premises of this law, it's difficult to take the risk of conducting the legislative process. Colloquially speaking, to work hard and have nothing come of it - stated Piotr Zgorzelski in "Graffiti" on Polsat News.

08:17

Zgorzelski:

Perhaps it could have been done differently with TVP, other institutions, but it could have taken 3-4 years

- Time is also important. If someone tells us: you could have done it differently. Yes, perhaps it could have been done differently with TVP, other institutions, but Mr. Editor, it could have taken 3-4 years. Today we don't have enough time to at least shut down this hate-mongering outlet, which has divided Poles for so many years - stated Piotr Zgorzelski in Polsat News's "Graffiti".

08:21

Zgorzelski:

The President Is Sometimes Carried Away by Emotions
The President – I have the impression – is sometimes carried away by emotions. Because we already have a war on our eastern border, and that's enough. We don't need to start any wars internally, certainly not us, the coalition of October 15th, and we also appeal to the President to lower the level of political discourse – stated Piotr Zgorzelski on Polsat News' "Graffiti".

Biejat on the Left's Candidate for Warsaw Mayor: I Hope a Decision is Made This Week. My Name is on the Table.
- We are at the end of talks with our partners, we are talking with urban movements, with Nowa Lewica. I hope that a decision on who we will put forward as a candidate for president [of Warsaw] will be made this week […]. My name is on the table, I will not hide it - said Magdalena Biejat in an interview with Karol Surówka on PR24. When asked "what she would do better" than Rafał Trzaskowski, she stated: - What Warsaw desperately lacks is the construction of rental housing, which would be an alternative to housing rented on the private market, or purchased with a high loan. Today, Warsaw is a horrendously expensive city where, even earning well, it is difficult to scrape together money for rent. I would like it to become a city where everyone has a chance for a roof over their head.

08:31

Biejat:

I Don't Want to Focus on Criticism or Fighting, But on Presenting a Positive Vision for the City
- I don't want to focus on criticism, on fighting, but on presenting a positive vision for the city. On a vision for the city that is needed, that aligns with the vision of progressive voters – those who care about a more equal city, where the more peripheral districts of Warsaw also receive attention from the city and its authorities. Because it's no great secret that, for instance, access to good public education varies greatly depending on the district – said Magdalena Biejat on PR24.

08:34

Dworczyk:

I Don't Downplay the Fact That Money for Postal Elections Was Lost
- I do not downplay the fact that this money [for postal elections] was not used or was lost; it was one of those extraordinary situations, I mean the attempt to organize elections in that manner – said Michał Dworczyk in the "Morning Interview" on RMF FM. - The Senate engaged in obstruction and deliberately proceeded with a bill, which could have been passed in two days, for 30 days. Legally, but in my opinion, it was an anti-state action – he continued.

08:39

Dworczyk on Trzaskowski: He Undoubtedly Has the Support of Warsaw Residents
- I have to congratulate him on this [winning the local elections in the first round], Mr. Trzaskowski undoubtedly has the support of Warsaw residents. I don't want to congratulate him because I believe he is a weak president - said Michał Dworczyk on RMF FM.

08:41

Dworczyk on Pride Parade Bans: 'I Am Opposed to These Kinds of Ideas'
- No, I am opposed to these kinds of ideas. I believe that restricting any freedom to manifest one's views is simply unwise - said Michał Dworczyk on RMF FM when asked about a bill banning Pride parades.

08:42

Biejat on Lack of Joint Start with Civic Coalition: It Was Disappointing. This is Not How a Partner Behaves, Making a Last-Minute Decision
- I won't hide that it was disappointing [the Civic Coalition's decision not to run together with the Left]. This is not how a partner behaves, making a last-minute decision. This decision could have been communicated earlier. But well, that's politics. We are not offended either, these are the realities. We are ready for the Left to run in regional assemblies, in cities, in districts, and in municipalities – said Magdalena Biejat in PR24.

08:45

Dworczyk:

I Like Speaker Bosak's Idea of Constitutional Actions
- I like the idea formulated [...] by Speaker Bosak about the need for a certain discussion and actions at the Constitutional level, which would pull us out of the spiral we have fallen into as a state - said Michał Dworczyk on RMF FM. - The word "reset" sounds bad, because are we going to reset the entire Constitution? - he continued.

08:49

Dworczyk:

I'd like us to exceed 33% in the regional assembly elections
- This will be a big challenge for the Law and Justice party, the fight for the regional assemblies, but I would like us to maintain our current standing [...]. I would like us to exceed 33% support. I will say that this is not a bad result given today's conditions, given the situation we are in - said Michał Dworczyk on RMF FM.

08:55

Biejat on the Resolution Project on the Constitutional Tribunal: The Left Hasn't Seen It, As Far As I Know, Neither Has The Third Way. This Is Quite Irresponsible
- We haven't seen the draft of this resolution [on the Constitutional Tribunal] yet. As far as I know, other partners haven't seen it either, so representatives of The Third Way, as far as I know, haven't received this draft either. Unfortunately, we haven't seen it, which I find quite irresponsible. This is an important resolution that will affect the situation in the Constitutional Tribunal. Therefore, I believe that both MPs, female MPs, and generally partners of Civic Platform, as well as the wider public, should have the opportunity to familiarize themselves with this draft beforehand - said Magdalena Biejat in an interview with PR24. - For us, there is no doubt that stating the fact of the incorrect election of substitute judges should not be controversial. However, I believe that what exactly will be written in this resolution may cause some controversy. I don't know if that will be the case; I would like to see it beforehand. That's why I believe that the Sejm should deal with this resolution when we have sufficient time to familiarize ourselves with it - she continued. - I have great confidence in Minister Bodnar, regarding his knowledge and responsible approach to the rule of law system. However, the decision that will ultimately be made, let's not hide it, will be not only a substantive decision but also a political one - she concluded.

09:17

Bocheński:

It was PiS's decision to put me forward as a candidate as an independent. I have no plans to join PiS for now

- I don't know the behind-the-scenes workings because I am not a party member, I am an independent. It was PiS's decision to put me forward as a candidate as an independent. For now, I have no plans [to join PiS] and no one is forcing me either – stated Tobiasz Bocheński in an interview with Bogdan Rymanowski on the "Gość Radia Zet" program.

09:18

Bocheński on the 'LGBT Virus': The Łódź Education Superintendent Said It. As an Inexperienced Voivode, I Said I Would Endorse Those Words. It Was a Stupid Decision

- I didn't say it. The Łódź Education Superintendent said it. I was caught at a conference by a TVN24 journalist and, as a young, inexperienced voivode, I did indeed say that I would endorse those words. It was a stupid decision on my part. It was the only time I commented on a topic I never comment on. It was the only time I publicly voiced an opinion on this subject. It is not part of my political agenda. The superintendent's statement and my lack of conference skills were foolish at the time - stated Tobiasz Bocheński on the program "Gość Radia Zet".

09:20

Bocheński:

When we imagine how Varsovians talk about their city, the first words they utter are 'traffic jams', 'metro', 'housing prices'

- When we imagine Varsovians sitting and talking about their city, the first words they utter are not 'abortion', not 'Equality Parade', not 'LGBT'. They are 'traffic jams', 'metro', 'housing prices'. I believe the president should distance himself - stated Tobiasz Bocheński on the program "Gość Radia Zet".

09:24

Bocheński on Tusk: I Value Him Very Little and Didn't Want to Be His Subordinate

- I value him very little and didn't want to be his subordinate. This is the fundamental difference, because it was taken as some scandalous statement; I simply didn't want to be Donald Tusk's subordinate. The Voivode is the government's representative in the voivodeship, and as a free citizen, I didn't want to endorse this government with my name - stated Tobiasz Bocheński on the program „Gość Radia Zet”.

09:33

Nowacka:

Homework in Primary Schools is a Gigantic Burden for Young People

- Homework in primary schools is a gigantic burden, both for young people and their parents, and often, especially with the intensive new technologies entering a young person's life, it's absurd – stated Barbara Nowacka in the TVN24 program "Rozmowa Piaseckiego".

- The goal of school is not to offload part of its duties onto parents, or to make progress dependent on their wealth. The goal of school and the task of school and teachers is to teach those things that are needed, essential for children, so that they understand them. A child who has a lot of work very often does not absorb this knowledge, and homework – research also shows this – has no impact on the level of education or on grades – she continued.

09:33

Nowacka:

Some Believe Schools Should Revert to the Kaczyński Era
- It's as if some people think things should be the way they always were, that schools should look the way they did during Mr. Kaczyński's time. Because they reject the changing world, they reject technological progress, which makes homework, whether in mathematics, physics, or Polish, absurd, as machines are now writing it. They don't want any change because they believe that's how it was best – said Barbara Nowacka on TVN24.

09:34

Nowacka on Laptops: We are preparing a remedial program together with the Ministry of Digital Affairs

- There is no money [for the laptop program for fourth-graders]. The European Commission has serious reservations regarding the preparation of this program, its sensibility, and also the protection of young people against cyber threats. These laptops were distributed without any particular ideas for education. In addition, I also received signals from the Ministry of Digital Affairs, and I will speak with Minister Gawkowski today about the fact that there were deep dishonesties associated with the organization of the laptop program – stated Barbara Nowacka on TVN24.

- We are preparing such a remedial program, concerning both what they did with the laptops and what to do in the future, together with the Ministry of Digital Affairs – she added.

10:15

Matysiak:

I hope in the coming days and weeks we will hear that the CPK project will be implemented
- I am convinced that we need an airport, having familiarized myself with many arguments. An audit of the Central Communication Port (CPK) awaits us. It's very good that this audit will take place, that we will have a black-and-white audit by experts regarding the justification of this investment, and on that basis, I hope that decisions will be made in the government, that they will not be made on the principle of "because we don't like it" - said Paulina Matysiak in an interview with Jacek Prusinowski on Radio Plus. - I hope that within the coming days, the coming weeks, we will hear that the CPK project will be implemented, although I am also convinced that it will probably be changed in some way. What is important is not to throw away the hard work of the team of people who worked there, because the investment is largely prepared - she continued. - We will see what Mr. Lasek says about this investment this month, what he says next month [...] we know such stories that politicians very often said one thing, and then had to reverse, change their minds 180 degrees - she added, when asked about the opposition that Maciej Lasek expressed towards the construction of the CPK.

10:16

Żukowska:

The Left is willing to adopt bills and not yield to pressure from some judicial circles claiming things are moving too slowly
- The Left has the will to adopt bills, to do everything according to regulations, and also not to succumb to a certain pressure from parts of the judicial community that things are moving too slowly - said Anna Maria Żukowska in an interview with Łukasz A. Jankowski on Radio Wnet. - These are not matters that can be resolved simply with a hop-skip-and-a-jump. These are serious matters, and citizens have genuinely been waiting 30 years for truly real changes in the judiciary: for shorter proceedings, for lower fees, for increased availability of court-appointed attorneys. These are matters that PiS did not change, despite the pronouncements of Minister Ziobro - wishing him good health, by the way - that they were restoring justice to citizens. This is precisely what is missing - she continued. - I think that somehow [Civic Platform] are taking into account [the statements from some judicial circles], they are taking them deeply to heart, but truly, the government is not there to yield to any lobbying, for that matter - she stated.

10:21

Matysiak on Government Size: "It Shouldn't Look Like This, Such an Inflated Administration Serves No Good"
- I'm getting asked again to defend a government I'm not part of. [...] Regarding the number of people, that argument naturally doesn't change, meaning, I start from the premise that it's indeed better for there to be fewer people [in the government]. There are very many [deputy ministers], very many, it shouldn't look like this either, and I have a feeling that such an inflated administration also serves no good purpose, very often it can lead to a blurring of competencies, who does what, here there would probably be a need for significantly fewer positions - said Paulina Matysiak on Radio Plus.

10:24

Żukowska:

Approaching the Judiciary Like Spoils of War – PiS Started It, We Have No Right to Continue It
- And if we were to give in to this lobbying by some judges, some professors, who say: faster, more violently, a bit recklessly, to break free from legal formalism? - Łukasz A. Jankowski asked on Radio Wnet. - Then the next government, and governments always change – that's what democracy is about, we too will eventually stop governing, just as PiS stopped governing – it will do the same. And I strongly warn against this. This approach to the judiciary as some kind of spoils of war must be stopped. PiS started it, we have no right to continue it - replied Anna Maria Żukowska.

12:46

Kosiniak-Kamysz:

We are getting accustomed to war. This cannot be accepted

- We have this feeling, and it stems from the discussions of ministers, as well as the meetings of the Prime Minister and Minister Sikorski, that we are getting accustomed to war, accepting that a war is taking place in Ukraine. This cannot be accepted, we must not become desensitized to it. We must constantly support Ukraine, because supporting them is supporting our own security - stated Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz at a press conference.

12:49

Kosiniak-Kamysz:

We Must Stimulate the Arms Industry Across Europe
We are returning to intergovernmental consultations with Ukraine following the Prime Minister's meeting in Kyiv, but we must stimulate the arms industry across Europe. It cannot be that it is dormant, operating in normal mode, because there is no longer normal functioning either in Poland or in Europe - stated Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz at a press conference. - If a full-scale war is raging next door, then the direct threat to us, to Poland, but to the eastern flank of NATO and all of Europe, simply exists. If Europe does not wake up, if the economy is not shifted to an extraordinary mode, requiring completely different engagement, Russia will make up for the losses it suffered in the first stage of the war - he continued.

12:52

Kosiniak-Kamysz:

I Convened the First Meeting of the Working Group on the Church Fund

- I have convened the first meeting of the working group on the Church Fund for Friday at 11:00 AM, which is to prepare solutions regarding recommendations for the Council of Ministers, for the entire coalition – stated Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz at a press conference.

12:53

Kosiniak-Kamysz:

We Call for Cooperation and Unity, This is Poland's National Interest. Stimulating Europe and the World to Help Ukraine

- We call for cooperation and unity, this is Poland's national interest. Security, commitment, stimulating Europe and the world to help Ukraine, because the fate of Polish society is being decided there. We cannot remain indifferent to what is happening, we must not get used to war. We will continue to maintain this activity and diplomatic offensive - stated Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz at a press conference.

13:01

Morawiecki:

We Urge the Rulers to Extend the Zero VAT on Food Until the End of the Year
- We dealt with the extension of the energy shield, the protective shield, and simultaneously the anti-inflationary shield. There was a very important element of this discussion also dedicated to inflation, the extension of this shield's operation in order to protect households, to protect small and medium-sized entrepreneurs from the imminent sharp increase in energy prices from July 1st of this year - said Mateusz Morawiecki at a press conference after the meeting of the Team for Work for Poland. - We were generally in agreement that these amortizing measures that we previously implemented should be extended. We approached the topic with enormous responsibility, because we proposed solutions that will not burden the budget or will burden the Polish state budget to a small extent. Here, we proposed a tax on the excess profits of energy companies from all sectors or sub-sectors - he continued. - We pointed out that, according to today's assumptions, the zero VAT on food, which we implemented two years ago, is to cease to be in effect from April 1st of this year, i.e., in two months. We postulate and urge the rulers to extend the zero VAT until the end of the year. [...] Here, in both these cases, if there is no appropriate action on the part of the rulers, we will have our parliamentary draft bills that will lead to us, on the one hand, proposing the extension of the protective shield for electricity, heating, and on the other hand, also for VAT on food [...]. We already have the parliamentary draft bills ready - he went on to say.

13:05

Kosiniak-Kamysz on the Constitutional Tribunal: Comprehensive Solutions, Constitutional Change, and a New Chapter Are Needed

- Comprehensive solutions are needed. I will speak about these matters more as the leader of one of the parties forming the coalition. For a long time, we have been saying that in addition to immediate fixes, the actions that are necessary in the area of the justice system, undertaken by Minister Bodnar, comprehensive repair is also very important. For this, a change to the Constitution is needed, a new chapter on the Constitutional Tribunal, and a comprehensive change to the regulations concerning the original sin that was committed. The swearing-in of substitute judges, the destruction of the Constitutional Tribunal. The entire cascade of problems concerning the justice system begins with this - stated Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz at a press conference.

13:08

Kosiniak-Kamysz:

A Little More Time is Needed to Prepare the Full Package of Justice System Reforms

- Such a constitutional reset in this dimension is necessary. We will be ready for it, for specific proposals. A little more time is needed to prepare the full package of changes concerning the justice system, but this is our full trust in Minister Bodnar, in his actions. I think that soon you will get acquainted with the proposals for comprehensive solutions regarding the repair of the justice system – stated Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz at a press conference.

13:17

Kosiniak-Kamysz:

We Will Participate in the Cabinet Council and Provide Relevant Information

- The Cabinet Council, convened by the President, will take place next week at 1 p.m. We will participate in it and provide relevant information. I already had the opportunity to speak with the President ten days ago at the National Security Bureau, where I presented the preliminary status of the report concerning the functioning of the Polish army and the actions we have taken since taking power. I will supplement this information at the upcoming Council. We will provide information on all topics - stated Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz at a press conference.

14:46

Visa Scandal Investigative Committee Presents Witness List - Including Wawrzyk, Kamiński, and Kaczyński
- As members of the investigative committee tasked with examining the legality, correctness, expediency of actions, as well as the occurrence of abuses and negligence in the process of legalizing the stay of foreigners in the Republic of Poland, we request that the following individuals be summoned to appear before the investigative committee within the designated timeframe to give testimony: Zbigniew Rau, Piotr Wawrzyk, Edgar K., Mariusz Kamiński, Mateusz Morawiecki, Jarosław Kaczyński, Piotr Krawczyk, Radosław Peterman, Nadia Kurtieva, Damian Iżyk, Mateusz Ryszczyk, Adam Burakowski, Jarosław Szczepankowicz, Joanna Magdalena Tarnawska, Jacek Bazański, Jakub Osajda – it was announced at the investigative committee for the so-called visa scandal.

15:32

Szczerba:

We Want to Thoroughly Investigate the Visa Affair to the Core and Develop Recommendations for the Future

- We want to thoroughly investigate this affair to the core, an affair that has shaken the country, but which has also been widely discussed throughout Europe and indeed globally. Never again can this kind of action be repeated. Never again can the prosecution and special services protect perpetrators, potential criminals, officials who exceeded their authority, who abused their power, very often for the benefit of others - stated Michał Szczerba in an interview with journalists in the Sejm.

- We want to state very clearly that the goal of our commission is also to create recommendations for the future, but in a situation where we identify crimes resulting from violations of the constitution and laws. We will utilize all our powers, including requesting criminal and constitutional responsibility - he continued.

15:34

Morawiecki:

We Appeal for Immediate Work on Extending the Energy Shield for Polish Families

- Who can afford such governance? We appeal for the immediate commencement of work on extending the Energy Shield for Polish families! - wrote Mateusz Morawiecki on Twitter.

15:53

Giertych:

NIK Audit of KNF Will Lead to Dozens of Prosecutorial Charges and a State Tribunal Verdict for the NBP President

- In my opinion, the Supreme Audit Office (NIK) audit of the Polish Financial Supervision Authority (KNF) will lead to a dozen or so prosecutorial charges and a State Tribunal verdict for the President of the National Bank of Poland (NBP). And you know I don't speak idly – wrote Roman Giertych on Twitter.

15:54

Sroka:

First Meeting of the Pegasus Investigative Committee - February 19
- The first meeting [of the Pegasus investigative committee] was supposed to be this week. However, due to the fact that we do not yet have a full Sejm schedule, which may change, we have decided that the meeting will take place on February 19 - Magdalena Sroka said at a press conference in the Sejm. - As the chairwoman of the committee, I have requested the ABW that each member of the committee undergo training, including counter-intelligence training. [...] Furthermore, I have also requested the ABW that each member of the committee have access to strictly classified materials, meaning a verification process which will take some time - she continued.

16:06

Bosacki:

Key PiS Politicians Will Have to Explain to the Commission Why Pegasus Was Used Against the Political Opposition
- At this meeting [of the Pegasus investigative committee on February 19th], evidentiary motions will be filed. Each MP will be able to submit them, both requests to state institutions to gather documents on the matter and provide them to the committee, as well as evidentiary motions concerning who should be heard by the committee - Marcin Bosacki said at a press conference in the Sejm. - We do not want to pre-judge at this moment who will be interrogated and when, but we can assure you that we will invite before the committee all those who may have influenced the fact that in Poland, spy software, which should only be used against terrorists or perpetrators of the most serious crimes, was used against opponents of the previous government - he continued. - Most certainly, key PiS politicians will have to answer before the committee and tell us how Pegasus was purchased for Poland, with what money it was done - here, the role of the Ministry of Justice under Mr. Ziobro - and why this spy software, this cybernetic weapon, was used in Poland against the political opposition - he went on.

16:43

Sawicki:

Restoring Constitutionality of the Constitutional Tribunal and KRS are the Bare Minimum

- Restoring the constitutionality of the Constitutional Tribunal and, on the other hand, the constitutionality of the National Council of the Judiciary, are those bare minimums, which, if not fulfilled, will mean that large sums of money from the KPO, currently held in Brussels, will still not flow to Poland - stated Marek Sawicki on PR24.

20:06

Kamiński:

I am a Member of Parliament, I intend to attend the Sejm session and exercise my mandate

- Of course, yes, I am obliged to do so. The Supreme Court issued a ruling annulling the decision of Marshal Szymon Hołownia, in accordance with the appeal procedure. I am a Member of Parliament, I intend to attend the Sejm session and exercise my mandate - stated Mariusz Kamiński in an interview with Bogdan Rymanowski on the program "Gość Wydarzeń" on Polsat News.

20:10

Kamiński:

These People, I'm Talking About Tusk, Hołownia, Behave as if They Will Rule Forever. This is a Manifestation of Terrible Arrogance of Power

- The fact that Mr. Hołownia does not honor the rulings of the Supreme Court is further proof of his commission of a crime. These people, I'm talking about Tusk, Hołownia, behave as if they will rule forever. This is a manifestation of terrible arrogance of power. You will not rule forever, gentlemen, these are criminal acts for which you will be held accountable - stated Mariusz Kamiński in the program "Gość Wydarzeń" on Polsat News.

20:23

Kamiński:

I'm Prepared for Anything Right Now. An Authoritarian Regime is Being Created, Ready to Imprison Political Opponents

- I acknowledge that such repressions are possible. I am prepared for anything right now. An authoritarian regime is being created, which is ready to throw its political opponents into prison, to sentence them to physical suffering – stated Mariusz Kamiński on the program “Gość Wydarzeń” on Polsat News.

20:24

Kucharska-Dziedzic:

I'd Bet My Hands We'll Reach an Agreement on the Constitutional Tribunal. The Left Will Definitely Not Want to Change the Constitution with PiS

- Political decisions that the rule of law must be restored, including in the most important body like the Constitutional Tribunal, have definitely been made, and after all, everyone in the current ruling coalition went to the elections with this objective – stated Anita Kucharska-Dziedzic on the program "Fakty po Faktach" on TVN24.

- I would bet my hands that we will definitely reach an agreement on this matter [Constitutional Tribunal]. There isn't [an agreement] yet because there are no ready draft resolutions that would go to the Sejm from the government, and I will also say this – the Left will definitely not want to change the constitution with those who have stubbornly violated it in recent years – she continued.

20:24

Rosa:

The Conversation About Changing the Constitution is Simply Unrealistic

- I think that the conversation about changing the constitution is simply unrealistic. Given the huge social conflict, given that they are fully aware that courts and prosecutors are ahead of them, that some of them will genuinely face criminal charges, that we have parliamentary inquiry committees, and that some of them face constitutional responsibility before the Constitutional Tribunal – said Monika Rosa on the program "Fakty po Faktach" on TVN24.

20:29

Budka on Orlen and Lotos Merger: Crucial Assets Handed to Individuals Linked to Putin. Polish Services Warned Against the Transaction
- I agree with the opinions voiced by the Supreme Audit Office or by experts, that this merger [of Orlen and Lotos] was simply unprofitable. It was a kind of megalomania, I don't know if Mr. Obajtek invented it himself, or his political patrons [...] one thing is certain: Orlen's customers did not benefit from this transaction, Poles did not benefit from this transaction, moreover, crucial assets were handed over to people linked either to Putin through MOL, or precisely with companies that also play with the Russians - said Borys Budka in an interview with Monika Olejnik on 'Kropka nad i' on TVN24. - Polish services warned against this transaction. Polish services said it was unfavorable. What's more, expert opinions indicated that this decision could be unfavorable from the perspective of the State Treasury, from the perspective of state security - he continued.

20:32

Sikorski:

Under the previous coalition, our country's ethnic makeup was changed without any decision from the government, Sejm, or Prime Minister
- Where there was a crime of visa trafficking, it's easy because the prosecutor has already intervened, there were arrests, and there will probably be indictments. But for me, the visa scandal was about something else - said Radosław Sikorski on TVP Info's "Gość i9:30". - The case of trafficking several hundred visas, in my opinion, was a symptom of something much more serious – namely, that under the previous coalition, the parliamentary majority, our country's ethnic makeup was changed without any decision from the Council of Ministers, the Sejm, or even the Prime Minister - he continued.

20:35

Budka on Whom Prosecutors Should Investigate: Morawiecki, Sasin, and Kaczyński
- It is obvious that if someone acts in the interest of the state, then after such notes from Polish services, they should block such a transaction, but this was not done, and in my assessment, this is a matter for prosecutorial investigation - stated Borys Budka on TVN24. - One by one: Morawiecki, Sasin, and Kaczyński. [...] Of course, Obajtek is a separate matter, and the entire management of Orlen, but Orlen was a political tool to finance political activities - he continued, when asked who the prosecution should investigate in the context of the Orlen-Lotos merger.

20:38

Sikorski:

The biggest scandal was that the government incited hatred against migrants while simultaneously issuing hundreds of thousands of work permits and tens of thousands of visas
- The biggest scandal was that the government simultaneously incited hatred against migrants, while issuing hundreds of thousands of work permits and tens of thousands of visas. And we see this on the streets of our cities - said Radosław Sikorski in "Gość i9:30" on TVP Info. - It seems to me that more migrants from outside Europe have arrived in Poland in these 8 years than in any comparable period in Poland's thousand-year history, while simultaneously inciting hatred against migrants. Firstly, hypocrisy, and secondly, the lack of a migration strategy - he continued.

Budka Asked About "Undoing" Saudi Aramco Deal: It Will Be Very Difficult
- First and foremost, I will expect that everything that can be reversed from a business perspective, including issues related to Orlen, or to sort things out, will be done by the new management - Borys Budka said on TVN24. - It will be very difficult [to undo the transaction with Saudi Aramco], but the new authorities will communicate about it; there are outstanding experts on the supervisory board - he continued.

Budka:

The President is doing very bad things, acting like someone still controlled by a remote from Nowogrodzka
- It is regrettable that [this is being said about sending laws to the Constitutional Tribunal if Wąsik and Kamiński are not in the Sejm] by a person who is formally a doctor of legal sciences, who does not understand basic mechanisms. Mr. Wąsik and Mr. Kamiński have been finally convicted by a Polish court, and on that day, at the moment the verdict became final, they ceased to be members of parliament - said Borys Budka on TVN24. - Mr. President [...] unfortunately is doing very bad things, because from the perspective of the state's functioning, Mr. President is not behaving like the head of state, but like someone who is still controlled by a remote from Nowogrodzka - he continued.

Budka:

A Resolution is Ready to Fix Certain Issues in the Constitutional Tribunal
- There is a resolution ready that fixes certain things in the Constitutional Tribunal. Here, Minister Adam Bodnar truly knows perfectly, step by step, what to do – said Borys Budka on TVN24. - Everything is agreed upon, and the right moment will come soon – he continued.

Students without High School Diplomas or Individuals Who Had Never Worked Came, Then Immediately Headed to Germany
- The point is that it was done without verifying them [migrants]. The more I learn, the more concerned I become. Because it turns out that, for example, students who did not have a high school diploma were arriving. That people were coming on the invitation of companies, who then did not work a single day in those companies, but instead took the first bus to Germany – said Radosław Sikorski in the program “Gość i9:30” on TVP Info.

Ukraine Lacks Ammunition. There Will Be No Reconstruction Until Ukraine Wins the War
- This is a dramatic situation. Ukraine indeed lacks ammunition. When I was in Kyiv, they told me exactly how great the difference in the striking power of the Russian and Ukrainian armies is. Ukrainians, fighting heroically, for example near Avdiivka, have to ration shells - said Radosław Sikorski in "Gość i9:30" on TVP Info. - It is true that we in the EU have allocated 50 billion [euros] for the functioning of the Ukrainian state and for reconstruction, but there will be no reconstruction as long as Ukraine does not win this war - he stated.

Sikorski:

I would have a request for our opposition, which had good relations with Trump – to make him realize he is acting against Ukraine and pleasing Putin
- The US President appealed to Congress to vote on the compromise bill [regarding aid for Ukraine], because it is a compromise that includes everything his opposition demanded; it includes aid for Israel, Taiwan, and to stabilize the situation on the southern border, and yet the bill is not being put to a vote - Radosław Sikorski said on TVP Info's „Gość i9:30”. - This is happening because the presidential candidate, former president Donald Trump, is pressuring his supporters. I would have a request for our opposition, which had good relations with Donald Trump, to make him realize that he is acting against Ukraine and pleasing Vladimir Putin - he continued.

Sikorski:

We will convince German and French partners to compromise on increasing the European defense budget
- The Weimar Triangle is an important institution because it is our ticket to the quasi-decision-making circle in the EU. The current opposition, when in government, preferred to demonize our Western neighbor rather than make decisions about Europe's fate together with him - said Radosław Sikorski on TVP Info's "Gość i9:30". - This will be an introductory meeting [in Paris], but there are very important issues, such as support for Ukraine, enlargement, EU defense policy, which is our second, or third […] insurance policy. I believe that the first insurance policy is the Polish army, the second most important in terms of foreign affairs - NATO. But, in my opinion, European defense is an idea whose time has come - he continued. - We will convince our German and French partners to compromise on increasing the European defense budget. This is a matter of 5 billion euros allocated for weapons for Ukraine. And there is still no agreement on this; there are different positions. Poland happens to fall somewhere between the German and French positions, so we can be the midwife of compromise - he continued.
