Gramatyka on Special Services Committee Experts: Cenckiewicz Eliminated in Vote, Four Out of Six Names Approved

- I am convinced that the Prime Minister's decision to have such individuals [heading the services] be part of the ruling team, rather than inheriting them from predecessors, is correct. [...] The Chairman of the Council of Ministers must submit an appropriate motion, the special services college must convene, the motion must be reviewed by the special services committee, and the rest is in the hands of the President [to appoint new heads of services]. According to my information, the President has pledged to make such decisions without undue delay - said Michał Gramatyka at a press conference. - Mr. Cenckiewicz was eliminated in the vote, he did not gain the committee's approval, he will be, as it were, at the service of the entire committee, so the committee has the right to decide whom it wants and whom it does not want. [...] Out of the six names presented, we postponed the vote on one for formal reasons; he will probably be voted through at the next committee meeting. Mr. Cenckiewicz did not obtain a majority, the remaining four names were accepted by the committee - he continued, referring to the issue of special services committee experts.
