In accordance with the regulations, until a new Ombudsman is elected, the current one, even if their term ends, continues to serve, so continuity is maintained. As there was no initiative from the committee chairman, and today at the meeting of the presidium and the convention, I said that on my initiative, I will ask the chairman to convene the committee, because we need an opinion, and if possible, during this Sejm session, we will do it during this Sejm session - stated Elżbieta Witek at a press briefing in the Sejm.
