Andrzej Duda Opens Cabinet Council Session:
I believe we have a situation of particular importance.
The issues that I have taken it upon myself to outline as the basis for convening this special session, which is the Cabinet Council – that is, a session of the government headed by the Prime Minister, presided over by the President, an exceptional institution – are constitutionally linked to an exceptional situation, meaning a situation of particular importance. I believe we currently face such a situation, due to the three topics I have just indicated and included in the issued decree for today's Cabinet Council. These topics, as we have all seen for some time, are interconnected and, in this regard, primarily concerning Polish foreign policy, which is the domain of the shared responsibility of the two most important elements of the executive branch in Poland, namely the President and the Council of Ministers, they undoubtedly have internal connections and undoubtedly influence each other – stated President Andrzej Duda during the Cabinet Council session.
