Today marks the 75th anniversary of the outbreak of the Warsaw Uprising. The main commemorations will begin in the morning. At 10:00 AM, Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki will lay flowers before the bell of Brigadier General Antoni Chruściel "Montera" and the plaque commemorating President Lech Kaczyński at the Warsaw Uprising Museum, where at 10:10 AM the head of government will give a statement.

At 10:00 AM, the observances will move to Górny Mokotów, where after the ceremonies at the "Fighting Mokotów" monument, the Mokotów March will commence. Warsaw - as every year - will come to a standstill at 5:00 PM, precisely at the hour of "W". At the same time, at the Powązki Military Cemetery, in front of the Gloria Victis Monument, the President, the Prime Minister, and the Mayor of Warsaw, among others, will pay tribute to the insurgents.

At 8:30 PM, Mateusz Morawiecki will participate in the "Forbidden Songs" concert on Piłsudski Square in the capital, and at 9:00 PM, in the presence of President Rafał Trzaskowski, a torch will be lit on the Warsaw Uprising Mound in Czerniaków.

- These lists are lists that represent a proposal. We spoke very openly that they are of an open nature and will still undergo changes. Indeed, what will likely not change are the top spots - stated Katarzyna Lubnauer in an interview with Dominika Wielowieyska on Poranek TOK FM.

- Regarding the subsequent places, there will still be changes, certain discussions. If a very attractive candidate is found, one who can attract a broad base of voters, then there will certainly be a place for them still - added the leader of Nowoczesna.

- Iwona Hartwich has extensive experience related to the fight for the rights of people with disabilities - stated Katarzyna Lubnauer in an interview with Dominika Wielowieyska on Poranek TOK FM.

- Everything indicates that she will be in third place and will run on the Civic Coalition's ticket - added the leader of Nowoczesna.

- Let me be blunt. Our goal is victory, to defeat PiS, and if we cannot prevent certain mistakes that can happen with the Left, because it happened 4 years ago, the Left did not cross 8% because as a coalition it had to cross 8% and did not. Therefore, those were wasted votes. Perhaps it will run as a coalition again. In reality, the composition is very similar to what it was in 2015 - stated Katarzyna Lubnauer in an interview with Dominika Wielowieyska on Poranek TOK FM.

- Therefore, our task is to win over every voter who can vote for an entity that is certainly stable, will certainly cross the electoral threshold, and has a chance, due to the d'Hondt method, to translate every percentage point into many more mandates. That is why we must also create an offer for left-wing voters. We must create an offer for voters from the centre-left to the conservative voter - added the leader of Nowoczesna.

“One only needs to look at the results of opinion polls to see that there is nothing to fear [about crossing the 8% threshold]. A left-wing list is highly anticipated by many. A single left-wing list, to the left of Civic Platform, polls several percent in social research. This is a list that has the potential for a double-digit, a good double-digit result” – said Adrian Zandberg from Razem in a conversation with Dominika Wielowieyska on Radio TOK FM’s morning show.

„Boys and girls gave their blood, they gave their lives during those memorable days, those terrible years. We owe them not only remembrance, we owe them gratitude – as a nation, as a state, because they defended humanity then. They defended not only a chance for survival, honor, and fought not only for the nation's future. They fought for elementary principles, values, such as love for the homeland, fidelity, honor, truth. That is why the Warsaw Uprising insurgents stand at the forefront of our pantheon of all heroes today. There would be no free Poland without that attitude, without the fight against the German beast that sunk its fangs into Warsaw, into Poland” – said Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki during the celebrations of the 75th anniversary of the outbreak of the Warsaw Uprising.

„This was not an ordinary fight. This was a fight not only for Poland's future, but for the future of the world. It can be safely said that the Warsaw Uprising insurgents fought for Poland to exist at all, but they also fought for a better world. The entire world owes them remembrance for those final days” – he added.

"So far, all contacts with representatives of the army and administration have been correct. We have a declaration of access to documentation. We will analyze it and then draw conclusions," said Jan Grabiec from Civic Platform (PO) at a press conference.

"We thank the command for making the material available. We will analyze the documents that will be provided to us very carefully. What we can say at this stage, before the visit to the Government Protection Bureau (SOP), is that there were very, very many trips by the Marshal on the Warsaw-Rzeszów route. There were months when such a trip took place almost every third day," added Marcin Kierwiński from Civic Platform (PO).

„The Chancellery of the Sejm has been deceiving the public regarding the organization of flights and the participation of third parties, and the Marshal's entourage on these flights. Marshal Kuchciński, despite numerous questions from journalists and MPs, has not provided any answers to date. We have initiated a parliamentary inspection, which has encompassed the Chancellery of the Prime Minister. Today, in turn, it covers the General Command of the Armed Forces and the State Protection Service. Certain conclusions have already been drawn from the collected documents, but we are still before establishing all the details that the public is asking about. We will demand the disclosure of source documents, so there is no doubt whether someone is still deceiving public opinion” - said Jan Grabiec from Civic Platform at a press conference in the Sejm.

„We have the assurance of the SOP commander that the documents we are requesting, namely the passenger lists, will be presented to us without undue delay. We expect this to be at the beginning of next week. We will analyze this data very thoroughly. What we have seen is that there were about 100 requests for flights in the period under review. I emphasize - requests. We will verify how many of these flights actually took place and who participated in these flights” - added Marcin Kierwiński.

"We have reviewed the pre-election situation. The PSL National Electoral Convention, which will approve the candidate lists and present the list leaders and all other candidates, will be held in Płock on August 17th, in one of the strongest constituencies for the PSL. We are not going only as a party faction; we are going with our partners, with UED, with local government officials, non-governmental organizations, and everyone who joins the PSL every day to form the PSL electoral committee," stated PSL Chairman Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz at a press conference.

"The lists are almost ready. We are still awaiting certain additions and reinforcements resulting from discussions with our partners. This will be the true political center. We are returning to our roots. It is very good that we are returning to our own path. This is what our voters called for. We are forging our own path, but we are not going alone," he added.

The Polish politician Kamila Gasiuk-Pihowicz has announced that she has filed a complaint with the Voivodeship Administrative Court (WSA) in Warsaw. The complaint concerns a decision made by the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (UODO) regarding lists of support for members of the National Council of the Judiciary (KRS). This development highlights ongoing tensions and legal challenges surrounding the composition and independence of Poland's judicial bodies, particularly in the context of perceived political influence.

Gasiuk-Pihowicz, a member of the opposition, has been a vocal critic of judicial reforms implemented by the ruling Law and Justice (PiS) party, which critics argue have politicized the judiciary. The KRS, responsible for nominating judges, has been a focal point of these controversies. The dispute over the lists of support likely pertains to the process by which individuals are nominated or endorsed for positions within the KRS, and whether such processes adhere to democratic and legal standards, or if they are being manipulated for political gain.

„We are working. I'm on my way to talk more about this topic [election lists]. We are working very hard on these lists. First decisions have been made, but we will announce them in the near future. Tomorrow at 11:00 AM, the election staff will be presented, and in the coming days, we will be presenting the lists, as this matter needs to be finalized” - said the leader of Wiosna, Robert Biedroń, in an interview with Piotr Witwicki on Polsat News.

“In my opinion, the time has come for a strong, left-wing party to be formed, one that will unite all other entities. Today, there is a chance for there to finally be no enemy on the left. At last, the left will go forward united” – said Robert Biedroń, leader of Wiosna, in an interview with Piotr Witwicki on Polsat News.

As we can read in the report: "Being young has never been as profitable anywhere as it is in Poland. The Polish government, by abolishing income tax for nearly 2 million young people, is trying to stop the 'brain drain' and the exodus of young Poles abroad."
