PSL Youth Leader to Lis: Will They Give You That PO Spokesperson Job?

The article's content is derived from a tweet by Kamil Szewczyk, linking to a video. Without direct access to the video content, a precise translation of the full article is not possible. However, the title itself provides a strong indication of the subject matter. The title, "Szef młodzieżówki PSL do Lisa: Dadzą panu tę robotę rzecznika PO?" translates directly to "PSL Youth Leader to Lis: Will They Give You That PO Spokesperson Job?". This suggests an exchange or confrontation between the leader of the Polish People's Party (PSL) youth wing and a figure named Lis, possibly a journalist or public figure, regarding a potential spokesperson role within the Civic Platform (PO) party. The tone appears to be confrontational or questioning, implying a degree of skepticism or challenge from the PSL youth leader towards Lis's aspirations or current situation within PO. The inclusion of the Twitter link indicates that the original article likely discusses or embeds this video, which would provide the full context of the interaction and the specific arguments or dialogue exchanged.

Budka:

Civic Coalition is Doing Well. It's the Only Coalition on the Opposition Side and a Good Project Showing We Have an Election Strategy

- The Civic Coalition is doing well. It is the only coalition on the opposition side and a good project that shows we have a plan for the elections. [Currently, the coalition includes] Platforma, Nowoczesna, Barbara Nowacka's Inicjatywa Polska, and a large group of local government officials. This local government component, to put it visually, is something that greatly enriches the coalition, demonstrating it's a new formula. It's no longer a purely party-based formula. Furthermore, we are focusing on non-governmental organizations, local government officials, and people who haven't been involved in high politics until now, but who can bring something new to politics – stated Borys Budka in an interview with Krzysztof Skórzyński on TVN24's "Jeden na jeden".

08:00

Budka:

We Want a Formula Broader Than Just Parties

- For us, the most important thing is that Poles see a chance to win these elections - stated Borys Budka in a conversation with Krzysztof Skórzyński on TVN24's "Jeden na jeden".

- Decisions will be made today. We are open to individual people. We want a formula, as I mentioned, non-partisan, broader. These elections have shown that Poles expect a broader offer than just offers from political parties. We are saying clearly that this party-based formula is coming to an end of sorts. The offer for voters will be different from now on - the PO politician continued.

08:06

Budka:

There is no Polish Coalition. It will be the PSL's banner and a gamble for 5%

- I would ask our friends from the PSL, and we are asking them: why are they taking such a big risk and want to go it alone, because I won't hide it, there is no Polish Coalition. It will be the PSL's banner and a gamble for 5%. Four years ago, as a co-ruling party, the PSL received 5.14%. That's the threshold for entering the Sejm. If someone is gambling for a dozen or so seats instead of trying to fight for an absolute majority in the Sejm in a broad formula, perhaps there's a hidden agenda. These are the questions to ask PSL activists - stated Borys Budka in an interview with Krzysztof Skórzyński on TVN24's "One on One".

08:06

Gowin:

The Education Reform Was Definitely Not a Mistake. The Question is About the Method. I'm Reforming Polish Universities Completely Differently

- I want to emphasize that the reform of Polish schools, Polish education, was necessary. At the moment we embarked on this reform, 70% of Poles expected the liquidation of junior high schools. The reform was definitely not a mistake. The question is about the method. I am reforming Polish universities completely differently, spreading this process over many years - said Jarosław Gowin in an interview with Wojciech Dąbrowski on the program "Graffiti" on Polsat News.

08:10

Gowin:

For Now, the Opposition Helps Us Primarily by Not Making Decisions

- For now, the opposition helps us primarily by not making decisions. There are several weeks until the elections, of course we don't know their date yet, but there are several weeks, and voters of individual parties still don't know in what configuration these parties will run - Jarosław Gowin said in an interview with Wojciech Dąbrowski on the Polsat News program "Graffiti".

08:12

Budka:

People will start to wonder if a vote cast for someone who might not reach 5% won't be a wasted vote
- Of course, the PSL will do everything to reach 5%, but the formula of this start will cause people to start wondering if a vote cast for someone who might not reach 5% won't be a wasted vote. The d'Hondt method is constructed in such a way that all votes that go into the basket for smaller groupings strengthen the ruling party or the winning grouping - stated Borys Budka in an interview with Krzysztof Skórzyński on TVN24's "Jeden na jeden".

08:15

Gowin:

From a reputational standpoint, the entire situation is compromising not for Szydło, not for Poland, but for European socialists

- From a reputational standpoint, the entire situation is compromising not for Prime Minister Beata Szydło, not for Poland, but for European socialists and liberals who, in some fit of revenge for us blocking, primarily Prime Minister Morawiecki effectively built a blocking coalition against the election of a candidate who was very bad for Europe, namely Frans Timmermans. So, in a fit of revenge, this is what led to the vote as it was - said Jarosław Gowin in an interview with Wojciech Dąbrowski on the Polsat News program "Graffiti".

08:18

Budka:

We will talk with all opposition groupings so that there is one opposition candidate for the Senate
Grzegorz Schetyna clearly stated: The Senate is a separate project. Even if an agreement on Sejm matters is not reached, then of course there will be one candidate on the opposition's side. I guarantee that the responsibility for the Senate results rests on our shoulders, but we know that there can be no fratricidal struggle in the Senate districts, because that is always something that causes the other side to achieve a result - stated Borys Budka in an interview with Krzysztof Skórzyński on TVN24's "Jeden na jeden". We will talk with all opposition groupings about there being one, and only one, candidate for the Senate on the opposition's side - added the Civic Platform politician.

08:20

Budka on Running from Silesia: No Decision Yet on Specific Electoral Districts. We'll Decide Next Week
I have been an MP from Silesia for two terms already. Until now, I ran in the Gliwice district. A very important one for Civic Platform. There is no decision yet regarding specific electoral districts. Silesia is such that we are one large conurbation. There is certainly such a possibility [that I will run against Mateusz Morawiecki], but we will decide on that together next week – stated Borys Budka in an interview with Krzysztof Skórzyński on TVN24's "Jeden na jeden".

08:29

Budka:

I wouldn't be surprised if PiS tried to nominate Pawłowicz to the Constitutional Tribunal again

- I wouldn't be surprised if PiS tried to nominate MP Pawłowicz to the Constitutional Tribunal once again. Because I remind you, they already tried to install her in the TC once - stated Borys Budka in a conversation with Krzysztof Skórzyński on TVN24's "One on One".

08:57

Siemoniak:

PSL's Decision to Run Independently a Historic Mistake

Marek Sawicki’s line, who was in favour of the PSL going it alone, has prevailed. In my opinion, this is a historic mistake for the PSL, because talk of any blocs belongs in the realm of fairy tales. Simply put, the PSL will go to the elections on its own. The illusion that the PSL will receive many votes in cities, which stems from the fact that PSL politicians like Krzysztof Hetman received a lot of votes as part of the European Coalition, is an absolute illusion, because they received them primarily because they were on the EC list and our voters, the voters of other EC parties, treated them as their own” – said PO's Vice-Chairman Tomasz Siemoniak in an interview with Karolina Lewicka on Radio TOK FM's Poranek.

09:04

Siemoniak:

There Won't Be Two or Three Blocs. There's the Bloc We're Building, and There Are Two Parties - PSL and SLD

There won't be two or three blocs. There's the bloc we are building, and there are two parties - PSL, which since June 1st actually gave the impression it wanted to reach an agreement, but actually didn't want that agreement, and there's the SLD, to which activists from Wiosna or Razem party could join. I don't believe that the SLD, and I say this with all due sympathy, will risk going as a coalition” - said PO Vice-Chairman Tomasz Siemoniak in an interview with Karolina Lewicka on Radio TOK FM's Poranek.

09:32

EKR's Candidate for Chair of the EP's Employment and Social Affairs Committee Will Be a Slovak

The European Conservatives and Reformists (EKR) group in the European Parliament will nominate a Slovak candidate for the position of chairperson of the Committee on Employment and Social Affairs.

10:27

Schetyna:

We're Entering Elections as Civic Coalition, Not a Party Alliance, but a Coalition of Shared Values

- We have concluded the meeting of the Civic Platform's national board. We unanimously decided on the format of our participation in the 2019 parliamentary elections. We are entering these elections as the Civic Coalition, but not as a coalition of political parties. Instead, we are a coalition of all those who share our worldview, our vision for Poland, who want to defend democracy and the rule of law with us, and Poland's position in the EU. We want to open our lists, the Civic Coalition, to citizens, active individuals, social activists, experts, local government officials, and non-governmental organizations. We have sought and found a new formula for political expression for all that is currently active, offensive, principled, law-abiding, democratic, and European. We want a coalition of democrats and patriots. We want to be certain that all those who will actively help us change Poland will find a place on our lists. We will open up 20% of the places on our lists and reserve them for people from the civic opposition, non-governmental organizations, and all those who have not directly participated in parliamentary politics until now. We will make significant space for them, we will write our program with them, and we want to build this campaign together. We will also reserve and invite local government officials to our lists - stated Grzegorz Schetyna at a press conference.

- We will form joint lists for the Senate, and we will also allocate three spots – the fifth, tenth, and the last – to nominations from local government officials, all local government officials. Those who want to defend the idea of self-governance, its institutional independence, against the centralizing policies of the current authorities. We know this is a new formula. We know that no one has done this before. But we believe today that the formula of transactional party cooperation, of dividing the best spots among ourselves, that kind of politics has ended. Today, Poland needs and expects a new beginning from the opposition, from the largest opposition party. And this new beginning, we are writing today, by inviting all people of goodwill. Open, engaged, active individuals to our lists and to work together. Together, we will win - the Civic Platform chairman continued.

10:36

Schetyna:

PSL's Decision Ends the European Coalition. We Believe Only a New Coalition Formula Can Stand Against PiS

Yes, directly after the national board meeting and the board's unanimous decision, I conveyed the information to the leader of SLD, Włodzimierz Czarzasty. Of course, the PSL's decision ends the history of the European Coalition, and this is our response to the new quality of Polish politics. We believe that only a new coalition formula has a chance to stand against PiS, which is why we are inviting the Civic Coalition to this formula. Everyone will fit there, but the party, political formula has been ended by the PSL's decision. Today, this is our response to the creation of a new type of electoral coalition – stated Grzegorz Schetyna at a press conference.

10:40

Schetyna:

We Want to Present the Lists Next Friday

- We have talks over the next few days, next week with all regional boards of all regions of the Civic Platform. So we will be talking with representatives of associations, non-governmental organizations, local government officials. We want to present these lists next Friday, i.e., July 26 - stated Grzegorz Schetyna at a press conference.

10:45

Schetyna:

We want to defeat PiS, we want to win this election, but we will no longer participate in party transactions

- There will be no party coalition. I repeat, there will be the Civic Coalition. If anyone wants to join - you are welcome. In an open formula of cooperation. People, programs, activities, ideas. We want to defeat PiS, we want to win this election, but we will no longer participate in party transactions - stated Grzegorz Schetyna at a press conference.

10:57

Mazurek:

We didn't want a situation where our political group would lose this position. Hence the decision to field a Slovak candidate.
- We didn't want a situation where we as a political group would lose this position. Hence the decision to field a Slovak candidate. She is in our group, so by the very fact that we form a group, our candidates are good. She has experience because she was also a deputy minister, she dealt with social policy for many years, and I trust that, as the Chairperson said, politics will not prevail here - said Beata Mazurek in the European Parliament.

11:08

Terlecki:

The 'Forming a Coalition' Series Will End in Political Embarrassment. The Impression That Poland Awaits the Outcome of Weeks of Talks Concludes with a Sad Finale. It's of No Importance to Us.

Everything indicates that after many weeks of a very captivating series titled 'Forming a Coalition,' it has turned out to end in political embarrassment. There is no coalition. Civic Coalition is going it alone, with citizens who will get some sort of worse positions. We'll see what kind of citizens and what kind of positions these are. In a word – the impression that Poland awaits the outcome of these weeks of talks concludes with a sad finale. These talks have led to nothing, and the parties are going their separate ways. Is this good news or not? It's of no importance to us. We are prepared for any scenario. We have a program, we have list leaders” - said the Deputy Marshal of the Sejm, Ryszard Terlecki, at a press conference in the Sejm.

11:22

Terlecki:

We Will Remind People What the PSL Did and Said Just Weeks Ago, Including Mr. Kosiniak's Appearances at KOD Rallies and Various Rainbow Initiatives

We are not afraid of any political transfers or electorate flows. We have our loyal, dedicated electorate, which we believe will not let us down. The other parties will compete among themselves to divide whatever is left from the opposition. The tactics will not change. We have been conducting a pre-campaign for several weeks, meaning we are preparing for the actual campaign. We are holding many meetings, and picnics are being organized,” said the Deputy Marshal of the Sejm, Ryszard Terlecki, at a press conference in the Sejm.

We are working very intensively in the countryside. We have many ideas. By reminding people of Mr. Kosiniak's appearances at KOD rallies or various rainbow, joint initiatives, we will indeed remind them of what the PSL did and said just a few weeks ago,” he added.

11:22

Terlecki on Differences Between Civic Coalition and United Right: I Don't Know Who is More 'Sofa-Oriented' - Inicjatywa Polska or Our Coalition Partners. The Difference is That We've Been Well-Aligned for Years, We Go Together

I don't know who is more 'sofa-oriented' – Inicjatywa Polska or our coalition partners. Nowoczesna basically no longer exists, so it's hard to talk about a coalition here. The difference [between the United Right and the Civic Coalition] is that we've been well-aligned for years, we go together, there are no differences, problems, disputes, or competition between us. In this regard, it seems to me that voters will notice a significant advantage of the United Right” – said Sejm Deputy Marshal Ryszard Terlecki at a press conference in the Sejm.

11:23

Kaleta:

Trzaskowski's "Relax Zone" Exposed the Civic Platform's Utterly Empty Promises

- Rafał Trzaskowski, with his "Relax Zone," has exposed the Civic Platform's utterly empty promises. This is important not only for Warsaw residents but also for all citizens across the country, regarding how the Civic Platform spends money - said Sebastian Kaleta during a press conference.

11:24

Terlecki:

I used to say Kukiz's MPs were knocking on PiS's door. Now I say everything will be revealed in the near future.

I used to say [that Kukiz’15 politicians were knocking on PiS's door]. Now I say that everything will be revealed in the near future. We were waiting for developments and for what would happen in the framework of the never-ending serial of building various coalitions” – said Ryszard Terlecki, Deputy Marshal of the Sejm, at a press conference in the Sejm.

11:28

Terlecki on the Election of a Slovak as Head of the Employment Committee in the European Parliament: We Wanted it to be Mrs. Szydło, but Some of Our Counterparts Broke Their Word. Politics Continues, and We Will Still Be Surprised by Various Successes

A very good candidate, a Slovak, chosen by our group. We support this candidacy because she is a very substantive chairwoman” - said PiS spokesperson Anita Czerwińska at a press conference in the Sejm.

Politics is a team game. Let's remember that there is the Visegrad Group, the ECR, broader political projects, the Three Seas Initiative. Within these various political activities, broader than just Poland, we strive to achieve the best possible results, including in the European Parliament. We wanted it to be Mrs. Beata Szydło. It didn't succeed in the sense that some of our counterparts did not keep their word. In our opinion, politics continues, and we will still be surprised by various successes” - added Deputy Marshal Ryszard Terlecki.

12:29

PMM:

Our Core Desire is for Municipalities to Connect, Counties to Connect. GUS Data Shows Over 3 Million Commute to Work in Another Municipality

- First and foremost, our core wish, one might say our desire, is for municipalities to connect with municipalities, and counties with counties. Because very often, it happens that employees commute to neighboring municipalities, sometimes through several municipalities. According to the latest GUS (Central Statistical Office) data, over 3 million employees commute to work in a municipality other than their place of residence. These are often distances exceeding 50 km. The average is over 40 km, and sometimes 70, 80 km. This means a huge effort, a reduction in the possibility of finding work closer by, and a significant loss of time commuting to work. These are everyday phenomena that we want to prevent. We want to make people's lives easier. We are currently implementing the largest program for the repair, renovation, and construction of new local roads in the history of the Third Polish Republic. You are aware of this. Approximately PLN 6 billion has been allocated within the framework of the Local Roads Fund. But after these roads, which are looking better and better, some new ones are being built, and others are being renovated, we want people to be able to travel to other neighboring towns and villages in a way that better suits their daily schedules, their needs for shopping, visiting hospitals, schools, work, friends, and family. These are the needs that truly make disappear what we sometimes talk about as Poland A and Poland B – stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki during a meeting with local government officials as part of #PołączeniaLokalne (Local Connections).

- For me, this program also represents a huge opportunity for another wave of entrepreneurship, for stimulating another great wave of Polish capitalism. A healthily understood market system that will create new job opportunities – he continued. – By repairing, and sometimes even recreating, those vehicle-kilometers which have disappeared by half over the last 20 years, we are also deciding on a step that is intended to stimulate entrepreneurship. To increase the chances for business to create new jobs – emphasized the head of the Polish government.

13:21

Biedroń:

We Will Create a New Left-Wing Bloc That, After Many Years of Divisions, Animosities, and Disagreements, Will Go to the Elections and Win
This is an important, historic moment for the left. A moment when we are starting a new chapter of our cooperation. The left has always won elections when it was united. The left achieved victories when our elder and younger brothers in faith joined forces beyond party insignia, but through shared values and programs. We have decided to create a new left-wing bloc, a bloc of a common left, which, together, jointly, and finally, after many years of divisions, sometimes animosities, and disagreements, will go to the elections and win them” - stated the leader of Wiosna (Spring), Robert Biedroń, at a press conference in front of the Sejm.

"In practice, nothing divides us, apart from minor programmatic differences and party labels. Therefore, there is no reason why today, at such a difficult moment for Poland, the Polish left, all progressive forces, should go to these elections divided. That is why Wiosna will do everything in these elections to run in the strongest possible civic, progressive, forward-looking, left-wing bloc” - he added.

13:21

Biedroń Announces Evening Meeting with Czarzasty and Zandberg: We Need Discussion and Dialogue, Building a Common List

Today evening, we will meet again, in a broader group, and we will discuss more concretely the future of the Polish left. After 8 PM, such a meeting will take place. We need discussion and dialogue, building a common list. We will announce this list in the coming days” – said Wiosna leader Robert Biedroń at a press conference in front of the Sejm.

13:52

Czarzasty:

We were astonished today to see how a project that secured 38% of the vote was dismantled

- Today marks the end of our adventure with the European Coalition. I wanted to thank Grzegorz Schetyna, Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, Małgorzata Tracz, and Katarzyna Lubnauer for this journey. The Democratic Left Alliance (SLD) received 6% of the votes nationwide. We have 5 MEPs. 50% of the people who voted for the European Coalition believe it is the best project in Poland to defeat PiS. 50% of people want these - stated Włodzimierz Czarzasty at a press conference in Łódź.

- We, as the SLD, waited until the very end and were astonished today to see how this project, which secured 38% of the vote, was dismantled. 38% of Polish women and men voted, six months before the parliamentary elections, for a democratic project, the largest and best project since Poland's transformation, uniting the opposition, and the participants of this project, as it turned out, some have resigned from it. To be honest, I am astonished - he added.

13:55

Czarzasty:

Schetyna has abdicated his position as opposition leader today

- The Polish People's Party (PSL) has, in our opinion, chosen an unclear path bordering on cooperation with Law and Justice (PiS). Grzegorz Schetyna, as the leader of Civic Platform (PO) today, has abdicated his position as the opposition leader. We considered Schetyna to be the leader of the opposition - stated Włodzimierz Czarzasty at a press conference in Łódź.

- Grzegorz, you had a great opportunity to be the leader of Polish democrats, men and women. Today, you have abdicated your position as the opposition leader. You created a great project and couldn't defend it. You lacked the courage, faith, and leadership skills for difficult times to improve this project - added the chairman of the Democratic Left Alliance (SLD).

13:57

Czarzasty:

Today Schetyna Took a Big Step Towards PiS's Victory
Today, Grzegorz Schetyna took a big step towards PiS's victory. A big step towards PiS's victory. Announcing at a press conference that it would be satisfactory for the Civic Coalition to receive over 38% of the votes is an admission that we have stopped fighting for victory. We will never agree to this. We will never agree to stop fighting for victory against PiS – stated Włodzimierz Czarzasty at a press conference in Łódź.

13:59

Czarzasty:

Soon a narrative will emerge suggesting voting only for Civic Coalition is worthwhile, as all other votes for other blocs will be wasted. I hope no one will fall for it anymore.
“Soon, we are prepared for this, a narrative will be created suggesting that it is worthwhile to vote only for the Civic Coalition, because all other votes cast for other blocs will be wasted. We know this will happen. I hope no one will be fooled by this anymore,” stated Włodzimierz Czarzasty at a press conference in Łódź.

14:02

Czarzasty:

We Are Building a Left-Wing Bloc
- I don't want to be with someone who doesn't want to win. I don't want to form a coalition with someone who doesn't want to win. Someone has to have faith in victory, in balls at such a moment. Therefore, I wanted to say it clearly. We are building a left-wing bloc. Today at 8:30 PM, there will be a meeting between Adrian Zandberg, Robert Biedroń, and representatives of SLD. All other parties, with the Greens in the lead role, are also eager to attend this meeting. We will create a bloc of the left – stated Włodzimierz Czarzasty at a press conference in Łódź. - On Saturday, SLD convened a party board meeting. We currently have, because we were preparing for this, ready lists, we have ready candidates, but within the framework of cooperation with left-wing parties, we are naturally responding to the invitation from Mr. Biedroń and Zandberg. We are also adding ourselves to this invitation. We will be creating joint lists – added the leader of SLD.

14:27

Kosiniak-Kamysz:

We are building a moderate center, building it with entrepreneurs, local leaders, business owners, and local government officials

PSL-Koalicja Polska is the only grouping in the political center. We are building a moderate center, building it with entrepreneurs, local leaders, business owners, and local government officials, all people of good will who want a state based on respecting tradition, Christian values, the dignity of every human being, respect for the rights of every person in Poland, on cooperation, building bridges, agreements, and restoring national community” - said the leader of PSL, Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, at a press conference in the Sejm.

The only grouping in the political center that does not want to allow radical right-wing rule, but also does not agree with moral revolution. Radicals from the right will not be stopped by radicals from the left. Only a moderate center can do it. We will do everything to ensure that the vote cast for us is a decisive vote. We are building a centrist bloc” - he added.

14:28

Kosiniak-Kamysz:

A Pity No Agreement Was Reached on the Left Flank, Between the Older Left from SLD and the Younger Left from PO-KO
"It is a pity that after Civic Platform presented its liberal-left program last weekend, no agreement was reached within the left-wing bloc. The older left, which is SLD, did not reach an agreement with the somewhat newer left, with the left from Civic Platform-Civic Coalition. No agreement was reached on the left flank. It's a pity, because then everything would be clear. The centrist-liberal program of PO-KO and the program of the SLD left are close to each other. Both have the same expectations" – said the leader of PSL, Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, at a press conference in the Sejm.

16:46

Joński for 300: Inicjatywa Polska Proposes Including Other Left-Wing Individuals on Civic Coalition Lists

- Inicjatywa Polska proposes that, in addition to members and supporters of IP, other left-wing individuals should also be included on Civic Coalition lists. The KO is not a coalition of parties, but an agreement of people and values. Therefore, we will soon make decisions regarding candidates from IP and individuals who support our values - Dariusz Joński said in an interview with 300POLITYKĄ.

17:22

Apel:

For Now, We're Preparing for an Independent Run. However, We Believe We'll Find Political Forces That Agree with Our Demands

- For now, we're preparing for an independent run and closing ranks. This is our minimum option. However, we believe we'll find people, groups, and political forces that agree with our demands - said Piotr Apel in an interview with Karolina Lewicka on TOK FM's "Political Interview."

- I think it will be Saturday rather than Sunday when it comes to announcing the decision - Apel added.

17:27

Apel:

PiS's Effectiveness in the EU Will Likely Become Legendary. We Probably Haven't Had Such an Ineffective Government Before
The effectiveness of Law and Justice in the European Parliament, or in the European Union altogether, will probably become legendary. We probably haven't had such an ineffective government until now. Even the vote on the head of the Commission, or the proposal that Prime Minister Morawiecki was supposed to submit, turned out not to be liked by PiS MPs – said Piotr Apel in a conversation with Karolina Lewicka in TOK FM's "Political Interview".

Kuchciński Broke Sejm Regulations Again, Deeming the Electoral Code Not a Code

Schetyna:

I Don't Understand the WKK's Decision to Leave the Coalition. I Believed, and Said So Very Clearly – We Need to Strengthen, We Need to Expand the United Opposition
That's a good question, but President Kosiniak-Kamysz is the one to address. He made the decision to leave the coalition. I can say this: I don't understand this decision because I believed, and said so very clearly – we need to strengthen, we need to expand the united opposition. This formula needs a chance. PSL did not give it a chance, in any scenario. Including the Platforma-PSL coalition scenario – stated Grzegorz Schetyna in an interview with Justyna Dobrosz-Oracz for Wyborcza.pl. Asked about PSL's claims that he was the one who removed the "conservative anchor," making it insurmountable, the PO chairman replied: – You know, I don't want to be malicious. To recall who they said shouldn't be in this coalition. Wiosna wasn't supposed to be there, SLD wasn't supposed to be there. Then other names appeared. Either you respect your partner and talk to them as one should in politics, and as we talked about creating the European Coalition. Firmly, for many, many days, but with a good outcome. PSL is leaving the Coalition, and a new beginning is needed. And I presented this new beginning today after the national board meeting.

18:24

Schetyna:

Questions are being asked in the Sejm corridors about whether the PSL is choosing a coalition with PiS. I don't want to answer them.
Sejm corridors are full of various stories about political scenarios being written on the past. Is the PSL choosing a coalition with PiS? Such questions are being asked. I don't want to answer them because that doesn't concern me at all today. I want to build Civic Coalition with people, not with political parties. There will be people from political parties, there will be Civic Platform, there will be Modern, there will be Initiative Poland, but there will be many people who are outside of party politics - stated Grzegorz Schetyna in an interview with Justyna Dobrosz-Oracz on Wyborcza.pl.

19:49

Schetyna:

This is the Game for Everything. To Win Against PiS and Restore Normalcy in Poland. The Electoral Verdict Will Determine the Future Not Just for One Term, but for Many Years
The Civic Coalition is back. I hope, I am sure, in fine style. There is no connection [the coalition formula with the issue of maintaining leadership in PO] because I always want, I am in politics to win. This is the most important game in my, in our lives, because it is a game for everything. A game to win against PiS and restore normalcy in Poland – stated Grzegorz Schetyna in an interview with Katarzyna Kolenda-Zaleska on TVN24's "Fakty po faktach". The electoral verdict will decide the future not just for one term, but for many years. We have seen this or we are seeing it in Hungary, when the defeated opposition resulted in several terms for Orbán – added the PO chairman.

Schetyna:

We Need to Find a Different Formula for Cooperation, Especially Since the PSL Left the European Coalition After the European Elections

- We did everything we could. We managed to build the European Coalition. It took me six weeks to build a coalition, to unite the opposition. It seemed impossible. We achieved 38.5%. But we lost the election, and one must be able to draw conclusions from defeats. The conclusion is that we need to look for a different formula for cooperation, especially since the PSL was the first to leave the European Coalition after the European elections. Yes [I regret it], because I believed that this structure we built was valuable, a realization of the expectations and social protests of millions of people - stated Grzegorz Schetyna in an interview with Katarzyna Kolenda-Zaleska on TVN24's "Fakty po faktach".

Neumann:

The elections will decide who will be the opposition leader. I believe it will be Jarosław Kaczyński
- The elections will decide who will be the opposition leader. I believe it will be Jarosław Kaczyński. The Civic Coalition, which in these elections will be running as a broad bloc of political parties, people, and local government circles – said Sławomir Neumann in an interview with Bogdan Rymanowski on the program "Wydarzenia i Opinie" (Events and Opinions) on Polsat News.

20:02

Neumann:

The Civic Coalition Will Be the Coalition in These Elections. We Are Hiding Party Labels; This is to Be a Civic List

- There will be a simple choice. There will be a PSL list, which may include a few politicians from UED or other circles, and there will be an SLD list, which will include a few left-wing politicians. The Civic Coalition will be the coalition in these elections. We are the only ones saying this in these elections, and we are saying it clearly to everyone. We are hiding party labels; this is to be a civic list. It will not be like the European Coalition, a coalition of PO, SLD, PSL, Nowoczesna, and the Greens - said Sławomir Neumann in a conversation with Bogdan Rymanowski on the program 'Wydarzenia i Opinie' (Events and Opinions) on Polsat News.

20:03

Schetyna:

I'm Talking to Local Government Officials. They Will Be on the Lists

- We need to reach people, Polish women and men, who are outside of politics, who maintain a distance from politics - stated Grzegorz Schetyna in an interview with Katarzyna Kolenda-Zaleska on TVN24's "Fakty po faktach".

- I have been talking to them [local government officials] for a year and a half. I am talking to Mayor Karnowski, Mayor Frankiewicz. I am talking to them and they will be present on the lists for the Sejm and the Senate. On the Civic Coalition lists. They will be an important part of this cooperation, the platform for cooperation that we will build - added the PO chairman.

20:05

Neumann:

With all due respect to our partners, they won't be forming lists to fight for victory, but to meet the electoral threshold

- With all due respect to our partners, but they won't be forming lists to fight for victory, but to meet the electoral threshold - said Sławomir Neumann in an interview with Bogdan Rymanowski on the program "Wydarzenia i Opinie" (Events and Opinions) on Polsat News.

20:10

Żukowska:

It's Dishonest to Drag Out Talks for a Month When Decisions Can't Be Made. Responsibility for the Project's Discontinuation Lies with PO

- It's dishonest to negotiate, to drag out talks for a month when decisions can't be made, because the Platform was the last grouping to form the European Coalition that decided against its continuation. The responsibility for this project not being continued lies with Civic Platform - said Anna Maria Żukowska in an interview with Bogdan Rymanowski on the program „Wydarzenia i Opinie” (Events and Opinions) on Polsat News.

20:14

Schetyna:

If We Reach People's Emotions and Those Outside Politics Who Are Detached, Anything Is Possible

- If we manage to reach people's emotions, those who are outside politics, who have distance, then anything is possible, and I believe that the difference between the coalition, Civic Platform, and PiS, we will reduce it during the campaign - stated Grzegorz Schetyna in an interview with Katarzyna Kolenda-Zaleska on TVN24's "Fakty po faktach".

20:16

Komorowski:

The Senate Could Be an Idea for Uniting the Entire Democratic Opposition by Fieldinga Single Candidate in Each Constituency

- The Senate could also be an idea for ultimately building a united front of the entire democratic opposition, based on fielding a single candidate in each electoral district - said Bronisław Komorowski in an interview with Bogdan Rymanowski on the program "Wydarzenia i Opinie" (Events and Opinions) on Polsat News.

- Whoever opposes the formula of a single candidate for the democratic opposition will be responsible for paving the way for PiS's success - added the former president.

20:20

Komorowski:

If the sum of votes for agreed democratic opposition candidates is large enough, it will facilitate Tusk's positive decision to run for president

- If the sum of votes cast for agreed democratic opposition candidates is large enough, I'm talking about the number of votes, not necessarily mandates, then I think it will be an element facilitating Donald Tusk's positive decision to run for president - said Bronisław Komorowski in a conversation with Bogdan Rymanowski on the program "Wydarzenia i Opinie" (Events and Opinions) on Polsat News.

20:23

Schetyna:

I Want to Create a Broad Center

- I want to create a broad center. I believe that everyone on the coalition's lists must fit. There will be conservatives, Christian democrats, liberals, and people from the left. But if we are united by a common view on the importance of democracy, the rule of law, subjectivity, Poland's presence in Europe, civil liberties, and minority rights, then we will fit there. Today, the most important thing is to find those people who have a distance from politics - stated Grzegorz Schetyna in an interview with Katarzyna Kolenda-Zaleska on "Fakty po faktach" TVN24.

20:24

Biedroń:

The Left Has Lacked Unity for Years. Today, We Must Leave Everything Bad Behind and Look to the Future in a More Optimistic and United Way

The left has lacked unity for years. This has resulted in us being the only parliament in Europe without a progressive, left-wing force. Today, we must leave everything bad behind and look to the future in a more optimistic and united way” - said Robert Biedroń, leader of Wiosna, in an interview with Katarzyna Kolenda-Zaleska on TVN24's "Fakty po Faktach".

20:24

Schetyna on Running from Warsaw: There is such a possibility. I think so

- There is such a possibility. Yes, I think so [that I will run for the Sejm from Warsaw] - stated Grzegorz Schetyna in an interview with Katarzyna Kolenda-Zaleska on TVN24's "Fakty po faktach".

20:25

Biedroń:

It was Wiosna that blocked Szydło's election and led to PiS being marginalized in the EP – fortunately

It was Wiosna that blocked Beata Szydło’s election. I am glad that Beata Szydło has seen that the rule of law must be respected in the European Union, and that the EU flag cannot be called a rag. It was PiS that introduced such a policy, but it was Beata Szydło who took down the EU flag and did not publish court rulings. It was Beata Szydło who led to Poland facing rule of law proceedings. It was Wiosna that led to PiS being marginalized in the European Parliament – fortunately” – said Wiosna leader Robert Biedroń in an interview with Katarzyna Kolenda-Zaleska on TVN24’s “Fakty po Faktach”.

20:25

Biedroń:

PO Chose a Different Approach. I'm Glad, Because I Feared We'd End Up Hiding Our Values and Pretending to Be Identical

The Civic Platform has chosen a different approach. I am glad about that, because I feared that in the end, we would hide our values, our programs, and be forced to pretend that we are no different. We are different. Everyone knows with what determination we on the left fight for certain issues, and with what determination those on the right fight for others” - said Robert Biedroń, leader of Spring, in an interview with Katarzyna Kolenda-Zaleska on TVN24's "Fakty po Faktach".

20:26

Biedroń on 'LGBT-Free Zone' Stickers: 'It Naturally Reminds Me of the Darkest Times of Segregation. We Know Where Segregation Leads.'

"It naturally reminds me of the darkest times of segregation. We know where segregation leads. It starts with words, with stickers, then come segregated seating in classrooms, separate trams for certain social groups, exclusion, stigmatization. This is something that should be prosecuted by the prosecutor's office. I hope these stickers will not be distributed because they recall nightmares from the past. Today it's LGBT people, tomorrow it could be any other social group" - said Robert Biedroń, leader of Wiosna (Spring), in an interview with Katarzyna Kolenda-Zaleska on TVN24's 'Fakty po Faktach'.

Schetyna:

My Goal is 40-45% in This Election

- My goal is 40-45% in this election. I am convinced that we have a huge chance to achieve this - stated Grzegorz Schetyna in an interview with Katarzyna Kolenda-Zaleska on TVN24's "Fakty po faktach".
