Saturday's Political Agenda: Kaczyński to Unveil 41 Parliamentary List Leaders, Civic Coalition Program Forum Enters Second Day

At 9:00 AM, the second day of the Civic Coalition's Program Forum will commence at the Palace of Culture and Science in Warsaw. The address by PO (Civic Platform) leader Grzegorz Schetyna, where the so-called "Schetyna's Six" is expected to be presented, is scheduled for 10:00 AM. The proceedings will last until 4:00 PM.

At 11:00 AM, the PiS (Law and Justice) chairman will make a statement to the media. As we were the first to report on 300POLITYKA, Jarosław Kaczyński will present the 41 lead candidates for the united right-wing electoral lists. PiS has a plan to demonstrate that they are consistently several steps ahead of the opposition, which is currently mired in chaos incomprehensible to voters. We are to learn the electoral district where the Prime Minister will run, as well as an announcement regarding the candidacy of some ministers who have not yet appeared in parliamentary considerations.

Schetyna:

It's Not Enough to Just Be Anti-PiS

We are visiting towns and villages as part of the "Let's Talk" campaign. We listen to the voice that comes from these conversations, and this lesson is very clear and obvious: it's not enough to just be anti-PiS, because being anti-PiS doesn't truly reflect who we are and what we stand for. In the upcoming parliamentary elections, we want to reach voters again, present a clear political plan that will make Poles' lives better, and clearly argue why it's worth going to the polls and why it's worth voting for Civic Coalition – stated Grzegorz Schetyna during the Civic Coalition's Program Forum.

10:18

Schetyna:

Our mission is to work for and serve the people, even at the cost of political alliances

Our mission is to work for and serve the people, even at the cost of political alliances, which is why we are proposing a coalition and partnership for Polish women and men, of people of goodwill, but also of experts, leaders, and activists. We invite everyone to this form of cooperation, all those who are guided by the same goal” - said PO leader Grzegorz Schetyna during the Civic Coalition Programme Forum.

10:19

Schetyna:

Our governing program will not be a political or cabinet creation. It will stem primarily from human needs, concerns, simply from life.

- Our governing program will not be a political or cabinet creation. It will also, and primarily, stem from human needs, concerns, simply from life. It will draw from the ingenuity and knowledge of citizens. This will be new politics, completely new politics, and a completely new Poland - stated Grzegorz Schetyna during the Civic Coalition Program Forum.

10:28

Schetyna:

Partnership Unions - High Time to Introduce Them
Women's rights must become a given and an everyday occurrence that no one needs to be convinced about. I think that all of us, and especially Barbara Nowacka, will ensure this. Finally, partnership unions. It is high time to introduce them. Recently, even a certain elderly lady in a small town said to me on this matter: 'Let people live, what does it matter to us?' And she is right. She is truly right – stated Grzegorz Schetyna during the Civic Coalition's Program Forum.

10:31

Schetyna:

It's High Time Everyone Could Access Information About Their Closest Ones, Their Health Status in Hospitals, and Inherit After Them. We Will Do It
"It's high time everyone could access information about their closest ones, their health status in hospitals, and inherit after them. We will do it" – said Civic Coalition leader Grzegorz Schetyna during the Civic Coalition Program Forum.

10:32

Schetyna:

This is the Moment Salaries Should Increase. Those Earning Less Than 4500 PLN Gross Will Receive an Additional Bonus for Activity and Work
"This is the moment when salaries should increase. Party activists are getting rich, pumping money from state-owned companies, but the pay of an honest person isn't growing. There are proven ways to influence earnings in the private sector, such as the obvious step of reducing social security contributions, or looking through the catalog of limousines, and yet they don't have time for matters like the earnings of ordinary people. We will have time. Those earning less than 4500 PLN gross will receive an additional bonus for activity and work. This is an investment in young people. Additionally, we will prepare a special starter program for young people, supporting them in starting their professional careers. We promise this. These are simple moves that immediately result in an increase in real earnings" - said the leader of PO, Grzegorz Schetyna, during the Civic Coalition Program Forum.

10:34

Schetyna:

We will lift the absurd Sunday trading ban
"The growth of Poles' salaries will be our top priority. We will influence this indirectly, for instance, by eliminating economic barriers. We will lift the absurd Sunday trading ban. We will create a framework where both employer and employee will be satisfied. Poland will be among the "top twenty" countries most friendly to entrepreneurship in the world. We will support company development," said Civic Coalition Chairman and PO leader Grzegorz Schetyna during the Civic Coalition's Program Forum.

10:36

Schetyna:

We Will Fight Against the Gender Pay Gap

- We will also fight against the gender pay gap. It is simply unfair that someone is paid less for the same work. We will change that - stated Grzegorz Schetyna during the Civic Coalition's Program Forum.

10:37

Schetyna:

Our European Healthcare Project Remains in Force. Waiting Months, Years for an Appointment Must End. ER Wait Times Cannot Exceed 60 Minutes
"There is no place in Poland where health is not a topic of conversation for everyone. People see that healthcare is falling apart and they are simply starting to be afraid. Only the wealthiest or those connected to power can afford to be sick today. Our European healthcare project remains in force. The waiting time for a specialist will not be longer than 21 days. We will do everything to enforce this. Waiting months, years for an appointment must end. ER wait times cannot exceed 60 minutes. After an hour, every patient must have undergone examinations, diagnosis, and a doctor's decision" – said Civic Coalition Chairman Grzegorz Schetyna during the Civic Coalition's Program Forum. "The program to fight cancer will be according to European standards. This is our firm promise. Within 7 years, cancer survival rates in Poland will reach the level of the most developed countries in Europe" – he added.

10:39

Schetyna:

Healthcare Needs More Money and Organization, Less Ideology
"Every person over 50 years of age will be entitled to a comprehensive health check-up, including all necessary tests, because early diagnosis determines the success of treatment. Such a check-up will be repeated every 5 years. Care for pregnant women and children, and full access to prenatal diagnostics at a European level, including the unconditional option of anesthesia during childbirth" - said the Civic Coalition leader, Grzegorz Schetyna, during the Civic Coalition's Program Forum. "Healthcare needs more money and organization, less ideology" - he added.

10:46

Schetyna:

We Will Restore and Expand the In Vitro Program and Introduce a Universal, Full Vaccination Schedule

"We are for freedom, so if someone believes that the Earth is flat, Elvis Presley is still alive, and vaccinations are harmful, that's their business. As long as they stay away from treating people. We will restore and expand the in vitro program and introduce a universal, full vaccination schedule at the highest European level," said Civic Coalition leader Grzegorz Schetyna during the Civic Coalition's Program Forum.

10:46

Schetyna:

A Broad Package for People with Disabilities Coming
"A broad package for people with disabilities is coming. They can achieve a lot, we just need to enable them to do so. This is a place for genuine, not just ceremonial, solidarity. And we will be solidary. The package will include rehabilitation stays at least once a year. Accessibility will be key, regardless of region or financial status" – said Civic Coalition leader Grzegorz Schetyna during the Civic Coalition's Program Forum.

11:01

Schetyna:

I want to tell caregivers of people with disabilities: Your demands will be our absolute priority

"I want to tell the caregivers of people with disabilities. You know how much we respect you. Your demands will be our absolute priority" - said PO chairman Grzegorz Schetyna during the Civic Coalition Program Forum.

11:02

Schetyna:

The 'thirteenth pension' must be permanent, detached from the whims of power. If it can be paid, it should be, period.

We have a broad program for seniors. The 'thirteenth pension' must be maintained permanently and detached from the whims of power. If it can be paid, it should be, period, not a case of 'maybe it will be, maybe it won't be'. This is not the whim of power. It is our duty” – said Civic Coalition leader Grzegorz Schetyna during the Civic Coalition's Program Forum.

11:05

Schetyna on Education: We Will Not Add Another Reform to This Mess. First, We Must Tidy Up and Calm the Situation

We will not add another reform to this mess. First, we must tidy up and calm the situation. Our allies will be local governments and teachers. Both need to be trusted. We will give teachers the promised raises and more autonomy. We will allow local governments to flexibly shape the school network so that intimate rural schools can be established, with classes from grades I to III, well-equipped, and consolidated schools in larger towns. This can and must be done” - said PO chairman Grzegorz Schetyna during the Civic Coalition Program Forum.

11:10

Schetyna:

Within 8 Years, We Will Reduce Air Pollution in Poland to a Fully Safe Level. By 2030, We Will Eliminate Coal in Home Heating, by 2035 in District Heating, and by 2040 in Power Generation.

If we do not make a radical change, our children will no longer see the world as we knew it. Diseases caused by smog already threaten the proper development of the youngest. Fresh air is only fresh by name, and finding clean air requires expeditions and searches. Vast areas of Poland are threatened by desertification. Within our lifetime, the landscape of Poland could change beyond recognition” - said Civic Coalition chairman Grzegorz Schetyna during the Civic Coalition Program Forum.

We must act, and we must treat this as a firm commitment. Within 8 years, we will reduce air pollution in Poland to a level fully safe for health. This will be served not only by the planned stove replacement with subsidies, but also by a new approach to energy. We commit that by 2030, we will eliminate coal in home and apartment heating. By 2035 in district heating, and by 2040 in power generation” - he added.

11:13

Schetyna:

We Will Reduce Plastic Consumption. We Will Introduce the 'Wild River' Program to Save and Restore Poland's Most Valuable Rivers and Streams to Nature. Together with Local Governments, We Will Launch the 'Green Poland' Project
"We will reduce plastic consumption. First and foremost, public institutions and state-owned companies should set a good example by using reusable or biodegradable packaging. Water is worth its weight in gold today. We cannot allow Poland to turn into a desert, periodically plagued by floods and tornadoes. We have comprehensive, large-scale solutions here. We will implement a small and medium-scale retention program in rural and forest areas. We will introduce the 'Wild River' program, which will save and return Poland's most valuable rivers and streams to nature. Together with local governments, we will launch the 'Green Poland' project. Trees will appear on neglected agricultural land, in cities, and smaller towns," said PO leader Grzegorz Schetyna during the Civic Coalition's Program Forum.

11:16

Schetyna:

There's a Great Task Ahead. It's Called 'New Poland.' Let's Do It for Everyone, for Each Person Without Exception. Let's Do It Together. And Now. See You in Poland.
We want to heal Poland. With you and for you. We will set out again for meetings to meet you and discuss this directly. Our conversation must continue. When we win, it will turn into swift and efficient action. There's a great task ahead. It's called New Poland. Let's do it for everyone, for each person without exception. Let's do it together. And now. See you in Poland” - said PO leader Grzegorz Schetyna during the Civic Coalition's Program Forum.

- We have 25 individuals who were not at the top of the lists in the previous parliamentary elections. Therefore, the change is far-reaching. It's undeniable that to some extent it's connected with the results of the European elections, but also with the fact that in eight - one can count differently, as youth can be counted differently, one could also say that in nine districts we have young candidates. Young both chronologically and young in terms of their political career. In short, we have both change and continuation. We have leaders who, in our deep conviction, will be able to properly perform their duties, and this task involves particular commitment regarding the elections and particularly intensive representation of everything that PiS will present during the elections - emphasized the PiS leader.

Incidentally, it's worth noting that the youngest leader - about whom Jarosław Kaczyński spoke - is Paweł Szefernaker.

11:50

Kaczyński:

- Tomorrow, we have our first pre-election picnic. It will take place in the Gózd municipality, very close to Radom. I cordially invite everyone - stated Jarosław Kaczyński at the PiS headquarters on Nowogrodzka Street.

Schetyna on Coalition Talks: It's a Matter of the PSL's Final Decision. I Still Hope for Reflection and Discussion

It is a matter of the PSL's final decision. In truth, a decision on whether they want to build a broad coalition, which I have been appealing for weeks and in which they participated before the European elections, or whether they choose to run independently and cooperate with PiS in the future. That is the question for them. It will still require time, talks, this weekend, the coming days. Wednesday is the final deadline. I still hope for reflection and discussion” - said the Civic Platform (PO) leader Grzegorz Schetyna in a conversation with journalists.

12:28

Schetyna on PiS's Top Candidates: Is it that Important? A 'Game Changer,' as Some Say? I Wish Kaczyński Such a Program as I Had the Pleasure of Presenting. PiS Lacks a Program.

“Do you think the top candidates are that important? A ‘game changer,’ as some say?” – this was the response from Civic Platform leader Grzegorz Schetyna to a question about PiS’s electoral lists.

“I wish him [Jarosław Kaczyński] such a program as I had the pleasure of presenting today. PiS lacks a program. You yourselves are talking about the level of that closed debate in Katowice. We are open. We are building a program. The elections have not been announced yet. Step by step. We cannot determine the top candidates because we don't know what coalition we will run in. The programmatic foundation is what matters,” he added.
