Friday marks the third and final day of the Sejm session. The voting block will commence at 10:00 AM. During this block, MPs will decide, among other matters, on the adoption of the Minister of Foreign Affairs' information from yesterday and whether to introduce amendments to the electoral law for the European Parliament. These changes are related to the size of the Polish delegation in the event that Brexit does not occur.
Directly after the conclusion of the votes, around 12:30 PM, the Committee on Justice and Human Rights will convene to decide on the motion to dismiss its chairman, Stanisław Piotrowicz.
Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki will be on a visit to Budapest, where at 10:30 AM he will participate in celebrations marking the 171st anniversary of the outbreak of the Spring of Nations. Meanwhile, at 8:30 AM in Warsaw, PiS city councilors will hold their press conference.
Also today, the board of Civic Platform is scheduled to meet to select candidates for the European Parliament elections.

- This is an initiative of Porozumienie. Yesterday, we organized such conferences in several cities across Poland. Where our councilors are, who are also very concerned. As I said at the conference, we met first and foremost not as politicians, but as parents. I myself am a mother of three sons, two of whom are currently in school. It's hard to imagine someone taking away my right to raise my children in this most intimate sphere. I would not want any external system to strip my children and myself of this intimacy that is inherent to us - Jadwiga Emilewicz said in an interview with Piotr Goćek on Polskie Radio Jedynka's 'Sygnały dnia' (Signals of the Day).

I'm Not Thinking About Returning to Politics, But as EP Candidate Lists Show, Politicians Who Left Are Coming Back. I'm Not Talking About Myself, as I'm Fulfilled in Another Sphere
- I'm not thinking about it [returning to politics] at all, but as even the lists being announced for the European Parliament show, politicians who stepped away from politics at a certain stage, who were engaged in other things, are returning. I'm not talking about my case, as I have absolutely no such plans. I am already fulfilled in another sphere, but various stories show that politicians can make a comeback – sometimes with better results, sometimes with worse. I have neither professional ties [to politics] nor any plans in that direction. I am fulfilled in another field and I am happy with it. But of course, I observe politics as an observer, a viewer, sometimes a commentator – stated Krzysztof Łapiński in an interview with Wojciech Dąbrowski on Polsat News's "Graffiti".

PiS Politicians Will Likely Use Rabiej's Interview
- Sometimes you benefit from gifts given by the other side. Right now, PiS has likely decided that by heating up this topic [LGBT+ cards], they are firstly putting the PSL in a very difficult situation, because the PSL is in the European Coalition and associating the PSL with these LGBT issues is likely difficult for the PSL electorate to digest, for a part of them. And here, the fight is also about showing the PSL electorate: look, your party, instead of being a conservative party that professes values aligned with yours, is suddenly supporting some, let's call them, novelties in custom. Here, it's a fight for votes, simply for election votes - stated Krzysztof Łapiński in an interview with Wojciech Dąbrowski on Polsat News's "Graffiti".
The former spokesperson for the President also referred to Paweł Rabiej's interview today for "Dziennik Gazeta Prawna": - It's not even eight o'clock yet, but likely there are already first phone calls or SMS messages from PiS politicians, who will undoubtedly use this interview, and as I said, they will use it in a context to show a certain part of the PSL electorate, or even the Civic Platform electorate, who are more conservative: look, we are defending conservative, right-wing values, and parties like the PSL and Civic Platform have betrayed them. This will be precisely a fight for the votes of those voters who are either undecided, or such things can be decisive. It's often one, two, or three percentage points that will be crucial.

- Yesterday it was mentioned in the exposition of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, so it seems to me that this matter has its importance, also on the government's agenda. Not just parliament's. First, we must establish a stance domestically, because this is a serious issue. It is not a political provocation - Konrad Szymański stated in an interview with Robert Mazurek on RMF FM's "Morning Conversation".

Gowin:
Pedophilia is a monstrous crime, and one should not campaign on such a crime and the suffering of its victims.
- I want to say that pedophilia is a monstrous crime, and one should not campaign on such a crime and the suffering of its victims, as MP [Joanna Scheuring-Wielgus] is doing with her speeches. Let us be guided by moral principles in this matter, not by either anti-church obsession or pre-election calculations – stated Jarosław Gowin in an interview with Beata Michniewicz on "Trójka Political Salon".
08:42
– We did not initiate this topic [the LGBT+ charter]. Representatives of the European Coalition initiated it, President Trzaskowski initiated it. We are reacting because we are the camp of freedom, a community of people who believe that in matters of upbringing, the decisive voice should belong to parents. We also believe that political debate, especially today in Poland, should be conducted around issues such as the economy, social programs, family support, further development prospects, innovation, research and development, and not around one ideology or another, or ideological disputes. We are being dragged into this ideological arena by the European Coalition – stated Jarosław Gowin in an interview with Beata Michniewicz on "Trójka's Political Salon."

“For 3.5 years, we have been rebuilding the party, searching for new quality, and ideas to be ready for elections. For months I've been saying that we need to look for partners. The Civic Coalition and the local elections showed that it pays off politically, so today we are taking the next step” - said the leader of Civic Platform, Grzegorz Schetyna, in an interview with Jacek Żakowski on TOK FM Radio's Poranek.

Schetyna:

„Today we still have the national board, and on March 23rd the National Council, which will be accepting the agreement and the division of candidates on the lists. I believe we will accept this. I believe that Civic Platform is a wise party and knows what this game is about, how important it is” – said the leader of Civic Platform, Grzegorz Schetyna, in an interview with Jacek Żakowski on Radio TOK FM's Morning program.

- Just like the United Right's slates, the European Coalition also presents strong [election] lists. What is striking is that there are few current MEPs in these top positions. I don't know if they will be bypassed entirely from these lists, or if they will be placed in lower positions. But I emphasize again: I respect our opponents, their political strength. The fight will be tough, I believe it will be fair, free from demagoguery, from the ideology that is being attempted to be forced upon Polish schools, while the result will largely depend on the mobilization of individual electorates - stated Jarosław Gowin in an interview with Beata Michniewicz on "Trójka Political Salon".

Mazurek:
European Coalition Politicians' Statements on Same-Sex Couple Adoption Are Shocking. This is a Boundary Previously Uncrossed
The current political climate in Poland is marked by heated debates and strong reactions, particularly concerning social issues. Recently, Beata Mazurek, a prominent figure from the Law and Justice party (PiS), voiced her profound shock and disapproval regarding statements made by politicians within the European Coalition (Koalicja Europejska) concerning the adoption of children by same-sex couples.
Mazurek stated that these discussions have crossed a line that, until now, had not been breached in Polish political discourse. Her remarks suggest a deeply held conviction that such topics represent a fundamental departure from established societal norms and legal precedents in Poland. The implication is that allowing same-sex couples to adopt children is perceived by her and her political allies as a radical shift that challenges traditional family structures and values.
The context of these statements likely arises from ongoing discussions within the European Union and at the national level regarding LGBTQ+ rights and family law. The European Coalition, a broad alliance of centrist and liberal parties, has generally been more open to progressive social policies. Their politicians' engagement with the issue of same-sex adoption, therefore, is seen by Mazurek and PiS as an attempt to import liberal social agendas that are contrary to what she characterizes as Polish traditions.
Mazurek's use of the word "shocking" underscores the emotional and ideological divide surrounding these issues. It suggests that the very contemplation or advocacy of same-sex adoption by her political opponents is viewed not merely as a policy difference, but as an affront to deeply ingrained cultural and moral beliefs. The phrase "a boundary that had not been crossed until now" implies that this is a new and alarming development in the public debate, one that signals a potential acceleration of social change that many, including Mazurek, find unacceptable.
This statement highlights a key fault line in contemporary Polish politics, pitting conservative values against more liberal and progressive viewpoints. The debate over same-sex adoption is symptomatic of broader tensions regarding the role of religion, tradition, and individual rights in shaping public policy and societal norms in Poland.

The convention will be attended by the President of the Republic of Poland, Andrzej Duda, and the Prime Minister, Mateusz Morawiecki. The party's structures will also be present. The convention will focus on the upcoming European elections. As always, this is a very important moment for us before the elections," said Beata Mazurek, Deputy Marshal of the Sejm, during a press conference on Friday.
10:51
In a block of votes, the Sejm did not reject the information presented by the Minister of Foreign Affairs regarding the objectives of Polish foreign policy in 2019, which Jacek Czaputowicz delivered yesterday. Consequently, the information was approved.

- Our nations today, free nations, are pieced together from such banner fragments, fragments of our great history, fragments of our friendship, Polish-Hungarian friendship. Just as these banners are put together, our homelands are something more than just our individual fate, more than these banner fragments. In the same way, today we are fighting for a better future - said Mateusz Morawiecki during the ceremony marking the 171st anniversary of the outbreak of the Hungarian Uprising in Budapest.

Professor Zdzisław Krasnodębski, a Member of the European Parliament, has invited Ewa Kopacz, a Member of Parliament and former Prime Minister, to a debate. The invitation was extended via Twitter, referencing a specific post from March 14th, 2019.
The tweet from Krasnodębski's official account, @ZdzKrasnodebski, states: "Pani Poseł @kopacz_ewa! Zapraszam do debaty na temat artykułu "Konstytucja bez duszy?". Jestem gotów na dyskusję. Proszę o odpowiedź." (MP @kopacz_ewa! I invite you to a debate on the article "Constitution without a soul?". I am ready for a discussion. Please respond.)
The reference to the article "Konstytucja bez duszy?" suggests the debate will focus on constitutional matters, likely concerning the interpretation or state of the Polish constitution. Ewa Kopacz, a prominent figure in Polish politics and a member of the Civic Platform party, has a significant background in parliamentary proceedings and served as Prime Minister from 2014 to 2015.
Professor Krasnodębski, associated with the Law and Justice party, is known for his academic work and his role in European parliamentary debates. This proposed debate highlights potential ideological or political differences on constitutional issues between the two politicians.

On Sunday in Łowicz, the Prime Minister's Chancellery is organizing the Nationwide Village Head Day with the participation of Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki. As our interlocutors explain, the aim of the event is to integrate rural and small-town communities, and the government wants to foster the development of these areas through actions aimed at expanding and improving life in the countryside.
- "Polish agriculture is our export brand, and for Morawiecki, it is an extremely important area," one of PMM's closest associates tells 300POLITYCE. Our interlocutor emphasizes that in this way, the Prime Minister's Chancellery wants to continue the offensive launched at the February PiS convention. Over 1000 people are expected to arrive in Łowicz, including village heads from all over Poland. Additionally, stands with healthy Polish food will be exhibited in the hall.
- "The Prime Minister's Chancellery wants a strong PiS delegation that will be in one European faction, unlike the European Coalition, whose MEPs will be in 2-3 factions. This allows for firm and effective advocacy for the interests of Polish villages in the EU," argues another of our interlocutors. - "I assure you, we will do everything to make Polish agriculture one of the drivers of Poland's economic development, and the residents of Polish villages will enjoy growing financial security for their families," he emphasizes.
Important PiS politicians and ministers will also participate in the event: Joachim Brudziński, Jan Krzysztof Ardanowski, and Grzegorz Schreiber. Earlier, on Saturday in Katowice, another regional convention of the ruling party will take place with the participation of Jarosław Kaczyński and Mateusz Morawiecki.

- The future depends on our will, on our strength of will. Today, as 171 years ago, we stand on the side of truth, on the side of solidarity, on the side of the common person, on the side of freedom. In the name of this better future for Hungary, for Poland, for Europe, we are also fighting today for truth, for justice. We are increasingly confident that just as the Turul and the white eagle led us to victory in 1989, they will lead us to even better times in the near and more distant future, for our children and grandchildren. Our two great poets, Sándor Petőfi and Zbigniew Herbert, spoke of unity in different words. 'A great rope of air' – Herbert said. Petőfi Sándor spoke of unity, of a single Polish-Hungarian nation. Let this great rope of air then unite us. All Poles, Hungarians, and Europeans who believe in a Europe of fatherlands – said Mateusz Morawiecki during the ceremony commemorating the 171st anniversary of the outbreak of the Hungarian Uprising in Budapest.

The interview with Paweł Rabiej has become one of the political topics of the day – PiS politicians are already using his statement about child adoption. Now, the Deputy Mayor of Warsaw himself explains that questions about his personal life were asked in his conversation with "Dziennik Gazeta Prawna," and his answer was strictly private. – "It is neither the position of the City Hall, Nowoczesna, nor the European Coalition. I emphasized – I am very, very skeptical about the topic of adoption," he wrote on Twitter.

Rafał Trzaskowski is distancing himself from the words of Paweł Rabiej for "Dziennik Gazeta Prawna". - Warsaw's actions are guided by the fight against intolerance. Statements that go beyond the European Coalition's program can destroy our efforts in the fight against hate. I instructed Vice-Mayor Rabiej to focus solely on the tasks I assigned him - wrote the Mayor of Warsaw on Twitter.

The Sejm will not vote today on the draft concerning the new VAT matrix – the vote was on a motion to reject the government's proposal in the first reading. This decision was made following accusations that the Law and Justice (PiS) party is thus increasing VAT on juices made from Polish apples, while simultaneously lowering it on junk food and imported citrus fruits.
Earlier, an adjournment was announced, during which a meeting took place in the plenary hall between Jarosław Kaczyński and, among others, Deputy Minister of Finance Filip Świtała. After the decision to remove the government's draft from the voting agenda was announced, some parliamentarians – primarily from PiS – chanted "Jarosław, Jarosław!".

Anna Sobecka was among the seven MPs of the III term Sejm who voted against the ratification of the North Atlantic Treaty in February 1999. Among the parliamentarians of the then Polish Agreement voting against were also Mariusz Grabowski, Jan Łopuszański, and Halina Nowina-Konopka – politicians long associated with the Radio Maryja milieu.
Sobecka is the only MP in the current term who opposed Poland's entry into NATO 20 years ago. Therefore, we wanted to know her current assessment of that vote and whether she still believes that NATO membership is unfavorable for Poland. Unfortunately, over three consecutive days of the current session, despite her initial declaration of willingness to talk, the MP avoided contact with us – mostly by picking up the phone and hanging up after a few seconds of silence, until she finally answered during a break between Friday's votes: "You're bothering me, and I have neither the time nor the inclination to talk."
In a 2006 article in Wysokie Obcasy, Sobecka assured that she was no longer against NATO membership, although she noted: "But I don't know if, should something threaten us, our allies would rush to our aid. Really, no one can be so sure."
Gazeta Wyborcza in 2006 quoted her Sejm statements about NATO: "I am against it because foreign troops commanded by a foreign general will be stationed in Szczecin. It will be a German or a Russian. Should, God forbid, any military actions be conducted, the commander of these troops takes over power in Poland. So, Poland will be ruled by a German or a Russian."
According to some reports, Sobecka is to be one of the politicians running for the European Parliament on a list supported by Father Tadeusz Rydzyk's circle.
As Fakt wrote, the MP's son, Tomasz Sobecki, two years ago received a nomination to the Supreme Audit Office (NIK) college from the hands of NIK President Krzysztof Kwiatkowski and Sejm Marshal Marek Kuchciński.

Kukiz:
No Agreement on Same-Sex Couple Adoption of Children
- There can be no agreement on the adoption of children by homosexual couples! In the late 90s and early 21st century, I helped the Lambda association in its efforts for tolerance. However, the moment homosexual couples started demanding the institution of marriage for themselves, I distanced myself from that community. The institution of marriage primarily serves the purpose of procreation. A child must have a mother and a father, if only to ensure the child's sexuality develops properly. It can later take a homosexual form, because various things happen, but sexuality cannot be suggested or imposed in any way - stated Paweł Kukiz in an interview with wPolityce.pl.
- A child cannot have two fathers or two mothers. It must have a mother and a father - he added. - Sexuality comes on its own. It cannot be imposed from the outside. And that's what's happening now. That's why I currently have a much more cautious attitude towards homosexual communities than before. I counted on the common sense of this group, but their demands are growing ever larger - emphasized the leader of Kukiz '15.

Anna Maria Krupka, a Member of Parliament, has challenged Michał Jarubas, another MP, to a public debate conducted entirely in English. The challenge was issued via Twitter.
Krupka's proposal stems from a disagreement regarding the understanding and presentation of Polish foreign policy and international relations. She stated on Twitter, "Mr. Jarubas, I propose a debate in English. This will allow us to demonstrate our knowledge of foreign policy and international relations on a different level."
The specific context for this challenge appears to be related to recent political discussions and potentially divergent views on Poland's role and standing in the international arena. By suggesting a debate in English, Krupka aims to elevate the discourse and underscore the importance of effective communication in foreign affairs.
This public invitation highlights the ongoing political dialogue and the competitive nature of political debate in Poland, with an added dimension of demonstrating linguistic proficiency as a tool for political engagement on the international stage.

We Do Not Support Same-Sex Marriage, and Therefore Do Not Support Child Adoption by These Marriages. This is Inconsistent with the Polish Constitution
“If someone today claims that matters of marriage and worldview will be decided in the European Union, they are lying. We do not want anyone to mislead Polish public opinion on these matters, because these issues are neither part of any agreement within the European Coalition, nor will they be resolved in this campaign. I also want to state unequivocally that we do not support same-sex marriages, and therefore we do not support child adoption by these marriages, because it is automatic. If someone were to propose it, it would be an equalization and granting of these rights. This is inconsistent with the Polish constitution, where marriage is a union of a woman and a man. This is our position, and that is why we are in the European Coalition, to represent such a position” - said the leader of the agrarian party, Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, at a press conference.
