Tusk:

I Didn't Warn My Son About Amber Gold. By Today's Standards, My Grandchildren Would Be on Orlen's Supervisory Board

"The warning, which was a legal requirement, is an instrument of Polish law, it was formulated [regarding Amber Gold], published, and disseminated in the media, so please do not repeat the thesis that Poles were not warned. I did not warn my son," said former Prime Minister Donald Tusk before the Amber Gold investigative committee.

"In reality, and I know that some people, I won't point fingers, will find it hard to imagine, I spoke with my son not as a prime minister who has the idea that he can arrange anything for his child. By today's standards, I must say that not my son, but three of my grandchildren would be on the supervisory board of Orlen. I am aware of that, but in my time, by my standards, my son made his life and career choices. I thought he was acting unwisely and that it could result in trouble, but under the standards that applied to me as prime minister, as well as in our family, it was he who made decisions about his life path, and I could advise him, without much hope that he would respect all his father's advice," he added.
