To Unfreeze Presidential Projects and Return to the Order Set by the Constitution: Nawrocki Appeals to Czarzasty

Mateusz Nowak

- Since August 6, the Chancellery of the President of the Republic has prepared 17 legislative initiatives. [...] All these 17 legislative initiatives, apart from one, which I will mention shortly, are frozen in the Polish Sejm. Both those relating to social justice, to demographic crises, and those relating to freezing electricity prices - said President Karol Nawrocki in Chmielnik.

- We are in a systemic situation where the president elected in a general election and the Plan 21, for which 10.5 million Poles voted, is being blocked by the Marshal of the Sejm, who received several tens of thousands of votes and is solely the result of political architecture - he continued.

- This is not how it should look, because the right of veto, the right to not sign a bill, belongs by virtue of the Polish Constitution to the President of the Republic of Poland. The Marshal of the Sejm does not have the right of veto - he went on to say.

- Once again, this time from Chmielnik, I appeal to Mr. Marshal Czarzasty to unfreeze the presidential legislative projects, behind which stand 10.5 million votes, and to return to the order set for him by the Constitution. Poles are waiting for this, Mr. Marshal - he added.
