Horała on November 12th: A Great Shame the Senators Added Their Two Cents. If I Were a Senator, I'd Do It Differently. The Sejm Will Decide on Trade That Day.

- It will be a day off [November 12th]. It is quite obvious. As the law foresees, [trade] will operate. After the Senate's amendments, the Sejm will settle it. Of course, 100% certainty... You know, we don't have 100% certainty that we won't get hit by a car when we leave this studio, for example. It is certain within human limits. It is a great shame that the senators - with all due respect to them - have seemingly decided that they needed to add their two cents to this bill - stated Marcin Horała in a conversation with Konrad Piasecki on TVN24's "Rozmowa Piaseckiego." He added:

"They had every right to their remarks [the senators]. I believe that the value of this bill passing smoothly, since it's not far off anyway, was greater here. I won't say they made a mistake, they decide, these are their powers. Personally, if I were a senator, I would have done it differently, because I would consider that despite all the value of these amendments, the value of this bill passing smoothly is greater."

When asked if there is a decision for trade to operate on November 12th, the PiS MP replied: - I am still before the club meeting. The Sejm will decide, but I think it's good to be consistent.

Horała on the Senate Vote for the Children's Ombudsman: I Cannot Explain It

‘No, I am unable to explain that [why PiS supported the candidate for the Children's Ombudsman in the Sejm and not in the Senate]. I haven’t had the chance to talk to my political colleagues. I understand that, for instance, perhaps during the hearing or discussions in the Senate, some new circumstances emerged that are unknown to me. At this moment, the matter is closed and we will repeat this procedure,’ stated Marcin Horała in an interview with Konrad Piasecki on TVN24’s “Piasecki’s Interview.”

Sasin on the ECJ Interim Measure: It Aims Not Just for a Classic Safeguard, but to Create Retroactive Effects, Which is Impossible

It appears this interim measure [issued by the ECJ] aims not just to act as a classic safeguard, meaning to halt certain actions that might occur in the future, but rather this document outlines an expectation to create certain retroactive effects, which in itself is impossible to implement. It would necessitate legal changes, and only an ECJ ruling can bring about potential legal changes” - Minister Jacek Sasin said on Radio Jedynka.

07:59

Sasin:

Government Not Working on Supreme Court Act Amendments Today

If there were a ruling from the CJEU, then of course we would have to analyze its impact on the legal status in Poland, but a safeguard does not necessitate legal changes. The government is not working on such amendments to the Supreme Court Act today,” said Minister Jacek Sasin on Polish Radio's Program I.

08:09

Sasin:

Opposition's Lie About PiS Government Planning Polexit Had Electoral Impact, Influenced Voters Especially in Large Cities

The [CJEU] decision fit into the opposition's political campaign, a deceitful campaign that claimed the PiS government was trying or planning a Polexit. This lie, repeated for many days before the election, as indicated by many factors, had its electoral effect. It influenced the decisions of some voters, particularly in large cities. This CJEU act was intended to strengthen the opposition's narrative. We have no doubts about that” - said Minister Jacek Sasin on Jedynka radio.

Karczewski on Kukiz '15: A Part of This Political Formation's MPs Thinks Similarly to Us

Paweł Kukiz had to blow off steam somehow. You know, sometimes that's needed. It happened that I drank alcohol after surgeries and in stressful situations. These posts by Paweł Kukiz are compromising. It's a bit of a shame, because this formation demanded change and gained the trust of many Poles, but that trust is clearly declining – stated Stanisław Karczewski in an interview with Piotr Witwicki on Polsat News' "Polityczne Graffiti".

When asked if there were any overtures to MPs from Kukiz '15, the Marshal of the Senate replied: – I know a little, I don't know a little. There is a part of this political formation's MPs who think similarly to us. Behind-the-scenes talks are ongoing, and that's completely natural. Sometimes, these are short meetings, and sometimes after a longer coffee. It was, it is, and it will be.

08:49

Karczewski:

President Duda Hesitates on November 12th Decision
- The President is hesitating regarding November 12th. I have spoken with the President on this matter. We will see what decision he makes. It will be his decision. November 12th is approaching soon, so schedules need to be planned. The proceedings for this bill were not perfectly executed. A bit late, but we made such decisions. Such decisions can also be made. As far as the Senate is concerned, I have a clear conscience because we processed it very quickly - stated Stanisław Karczewski in an interview with Piotr Witwicki on Polsat News' "Polityczne Graffiti".

Jakubiak on Kukiz's Tweets: I Understand It Wasn't Paweł Writing, But Friday Writing, Little Friday

"I understand that it wasn't Paweł writing, but Friday writing, little Friday. The situation is this – I am one of the oldest MPs, and I sometimes treat those twenty-something MPs like my own children. I call them 'sons.' So, it's a kind of metaphor. Besides, I accept and profess the principle that one should bid farewell to people in such a way that one can always greet them again. Therefore, such extreme attitudes simply do not suit me. That's also the problem" - said Marek Jakubiak from Kukiz’15 in an interview with Robert Mazurek on RMF FM.

08:58

Jakubiak Proposes Transforming Kukiz'15 into a Political Party: 'A Party is a Legal Entity for Conducting Nationwide Politics. We are a Nationwide Movement'

I think reorganization [within Kukiz’15] must happen. This is his [Kukiz’s] organization, he created it, no one will take that away from him. That Paweł Kukiz and anti-system movements appeared in politics, he raised that banner and brought 41 MPs to the Sejm – no one can take that away from Paweł. The question is what next. This is a current question. I will ask Paweł Kukiz and the club this question” - Marek Jakubiak said on RMF FM.

I believe that continuing in the form of an association can be, but as a first step towards a political organization. I approach this very pragmatically. I am essentially the only one today in the Kukiz’15 association who says that a party is a legal entity for conducting nationwide politics. We are a nationwide movement. We simply cannot run after the train, because we will never catch up with the train. The train has money. How can you compare the number of billboards, how can you have equal rights when some have money and others don't?” - he added.

09:05

Bielan:

We Must React to the ECJ's Interim Measure. There's a Proposal to Amend the Act on the Supreme Court. This Draft Will Soon Be Publicized
- According to the treaties, shaping the justice system is the exclusive competence of member states. Poland will not relinquish this competence, however, the question of how to react to the [ECJ's] interim measure certainly arises, as we are not yet dealing with a judgment. This judgment will come in several months at the earliest. We must certainly react to the interim measure itself, and there is a proposal to prepare an amendment to the Act on the Supreme Court in this matter. This draft will soon be publicized and will be processed in parliament - stated Adam Bielan in an interview with Paweł Lisicki on "Salon Polityczny Trójki".

Marczuk on Expanding Trade Ban to Saturday Evenings: 'No Such Proposal on the Government's Agenda'

"There is no such proposal [to extend the trade ban to Saturdays from 10 PM] on the government's agenda. There is a lot of background noise in the recording, the minister was caught somewhere. I don't know what the previous conversation was on this matter. I am sticking to what the minister officially stated on social media. There are no plans to extend the Sunday trading ban to Saturdays" - said Deputy Minister Bartosz Marczuk on Radio Zet in an interview with Beata Lubecka.

Bielan:

Every Respected Party Analyzes Election Results in Detail After Every Election
After every election, every respected party analyzes election results and the impact of various campaign activities very thoroughly. This is not only about marketing activities but also about fieldwork, parliamentarians, and activists. Local government elections are the best possible material, for example, to assess the strength of structures in individual municipalities – stated Adam Bielan in an interview with Paweł Lisicki on "Salon polityczny Trójki". - In order to avoid any internal reckonings, Jarosław Kaczyński asked us to prepare written observations and for this to happen in a calm manner, after the elections – the Deputy Speaker of the Senate continued. – Such a process will take place calmly, in a few weeks – he added.

Bielan:

Excellent Result in Regional Assembly Elections; Mazowsze Was Our Only Hope for Majority, Though We Knew It Would Be Difficult

- Regarding the results of the regional assembly elections, I assess that they were very good. The only regional assembly we were counting on, though we quietly knew that achieving an outright majority would be very, very difficult, was Mazowsze. In the areas outside Warsaw's regional assembly districts, we achieved enormous success, a very significant increase, a gain in mandates. We lost two mandates in Warsaw, and we were one mandate short of being able to govern. One could say that the Mazowsze regional assembly fell victim to this large wave of voter turnout in favour of Rafał Trzaskowski - stated Adam Bielan in an interview with Paweł Lisicki on "Salon polityczny Trójki".

Mazurek Announces Further Meetings with PiS Chairman

Polish politician Beata Mazurek, a prominent member of the Law and Justice (PiS) party, has announced that further meetings will be held involving the party's chairman. This statement comes amid ongoing political discussions and strategic planning within the ruling party.

The announcement, made via a tweet (https://twitter.com/beatamk/status/1056826004604358656), suggests that PiS is actively engaging in internal consultations to shape its future political direction and policy initiatives. Such meetings are typically crucial for consolidating party strategy, addressing current political challenges, and preparing for upcoming electoral cycles or legislative processes.

While the specifics of the agenda or the exact dates of these future meetings were not detailed in the initial announcement, the tenor of the statement implies a period of intensified political activity for the PiS leadership. The involvement of the party chairman underscores the significance of these upcoming discussions in determining the party's key decisions and public messaging.

The political landscape in Poland remains dynamic, and these internal meetings are likely to be closely watched by political observers, media, and the public alike, as they could signal shifts in policy priorities or leadership strategies for the Law and Justice party.

09:41

Bielan:

If We Don't Answer What Happened in Big Cities, We Could Face a Bigger Problem in European Elections Than in Local Government Elections
- If we are talking about what conclusions to draw from these elections, we must of course consider why we saw such a large wave of turnout in several big cities, which was directed against us. This is also important in the context of European elections, where turnout disparities are very large. In the last European elections, it was just over 23%, while in Warsaw – 38%. So, we can clearly see that if we don't answer the question of what happened in these big cities, we could have a bigger problem in the European elections than in the local government elections – stated Adam Bielan in an interview with Paweł Lisicki in "Salon polityczny Trójki".

Spychalski:

President Emphasized Cautious Support for November 12th Holiday; Bill Yet to Reach Presidential Palace
“The President has emphasized many times that he is a cautious supporter of November 12th being a holiday. Let us remember that we are dealing with the centenary of independence, a very important date, with very important celebrations. In this context, a free November 12th is entirely purposeful,” said presidential spokesperson Błażej Spychalski in an interview with Jacek Prusinowski on Radio Plus.

“This bill has not yet reached the Presidential Palace. We will see what its final shape will be, because the Senate introduced amendments during its session, which the Sejm must address. Let us wait and see what ultimately lands on the President’s desk,” he added.

Schetyna:

Local Government Elections Aren't Over; a New Stage Begins
- [The local government elections] are still ongoing. It's not as if the local government elections concluded last Sunday at 9 PM. A new stage is now beginning. They certainly haven't concluded in Choszczno, which is why we are here to emphasize the importance of the support we, as the Civic Coalition, are jointly giving to the mayor. But I also think it's not just a matter of support, but also of Polish local self-government in general, the strength of local government, its autonomy, financial and organizational capabilities, and finally, what is most important: ensuring that residents, Polish women and men, have certainty that they are choosing, and can choose, the hosts of their towns, village mayors, mayors, and presidents, just as they choose councilors for regional assemblies, district councils, or municipalities and cities. This is important because local government is a crucial part of public authority and it must be autonomous, independent, equipped with competencies and funds, so that it can effectively manage our small homelands, local communities, carry out investments, attract and create new jobs, and ensure what is most important: an effective fight against unemployment, healthcare, or education - stated Grzegorz Schetyna at a briefing in Choszczno. - We are very warmly and strongly appealing today to the residents of Choszczno to be at the polling stations on Sunday, to not limit their activity only to last Sunday. Next week, there are important elections. You should choose the best possible candidate - added the leader of PO.

Mazurek:

Attacks on Deputy Prime Minister Szydło Regarding the Collision Are Outrageous

On Saturday, November 3, 2018, Beata Mazurek, the spokesperson for the Law and Justice party, commented on the collision involving the government convoy, in which the Prime Minister was traveling. The incident occurred in Oświęcim.

Mazurek stated on Twitter that the attacks on Deputy Prime Minister Beata Szydło in connection with the collision are outrageous. The politician emphasized that the accident was an unfortunate event, and that it was met with unacceptable criticism from some politicians.

The collision involved a civilian car and a government car carrying Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki. Fortunately, no one was seriously injured.

Karczewski on the Free November 12th and the President's Stance

- I don't know which [parliamentarians] you spoke with. Because those I spoke with were happy with our changes. The President is probably a moderate supporter of this day [November 12th]. I think the latter statement will prevail – stated Stanisław Karczewski in an interview with TVN24.

SLD Withdraws from Coalition with PiS in Konecki County:

We Consider This Matter Closed.
A press conference concerning the situation that occurred in Konecki County, where the SLD signed an agreement for cooperation with PiS. Decisions have been made on this matter. The first decision. Końskie, October 29th, meaning today, I was informed a moment ago about the decision of the SLD board in the county. The county board of SLD in Końskie does not agree to forming a coalition with the PiS party in Konecki County. Second decision - the head of the county organization has resigned. In connection with this, a decision of the following content was made: the SLD board in Końskie entrusts the interim leadership of the SLD structures to the deputy chairman, Grzegorz Wąsik - stated Włodzimierz Czarzasty at a briefing. He added:
"I announced at one time that the SLD would not enter into coalitions with PiS. None. Before the elections, we proposed a three-stage agreement to other coalition parties, i.e., Platforma Obywatelska and Nowoczesna, as well as PSL, to monitor the elections, to support all candidates running on the democratic side in the second round, and not to enter into any agreements with PiS after the elections. This was not accepted, and such an agreement was not signed. We understand this. It turned out that in many places over the past few years there have been coalitions between PiS and PO or PSL. We consider this matter closed, but for the record, I will inform you that in Konecki County, a PiS-PSL coalition has been in power for 12 years."
- The situation that occurred on October 26, 2018, in Białogard, where PiS, PSL, and a joint local government formed a coalition, with a member from PSL to be the district governor and a member from PiS to be the deputy district governor, was not noticed - continued the SLD chairman.

President Duda Will Not Participate in the Independence March

President Andrzej Duda will not take part in this year's Independence March. This was announced by Deputy Minister of Interior and Administration Jarosław Zieliński. The president's office was invited to the event.

Earlier, on social media, it was reported that the President's office had been invited to the Independence March. A link to the announcement was shared by Deputy Minister of Interior and Administration Jarosław Zieliński.

The Independence March is an annual event organised by nationalist organisations. It takes place on 11 November, Poland's Independence Day, and attracts tens of thousands of participants.

KOD:

We Receive Information About Potential Coalitions of Democratic Parties with PiS with Great Concern

However, today we receive information about potential, possible coalitions of democratic parties with PiS with great concern. We respect political pluralism, the right to hold and express one's own views, the self-determination of parties regarding their programs and political paths, but at the same time, we expect pro-democratic parties to primarily respect the universal values enshrined in the Constitution. Forming local coalitions with Law and Justice will be a testament to the denial of these values. We do not and will not consent to this – wrote Jarosław Marciniak in a statement sent to the media by KOD.

17:34

Kaczyński:

The era of Civic Platform and PSL rule was difficult for Poland, and successes were hard to find. Even Schetyna couldn't name any.

"The times of Civic Platform and PSL rule were difficult for Poland, but it was a time when successes were hard to find. The man who today leads Civic Platform, Grzegorz Schetyna, when asked what successes you achieved, fell silent. Well, because even he couldn't say anything. He couldn't say anything because, indeed, there were no successes during that time. Instead, there were scandals, including a gigantic one that led to a loss of at least 260 billion zlotys. These are sums larger than what we receive net from the European Union" - said PiS chairman Jarosław Kaczyński in Zduńska Wola.

17:45

Kaczyński:

We Need National Consolidation Around the Goal of Reaching the Development Level of Western European Countries Within a Dozen Years

We need national consolidation. Consolidation around a goal that we set for ourselves. Our goal is to achieve, within a dozen or so, 20 years, a level of development, per capita income, comparable to the countries west of our borders. Is this possible? One only needs to know basic arithmetic, compound interest, and it's easy to calculate that it is possible, even in relation to a country as wealthy as Germany” - said the leader Jarosław Kaczyński in Zduńska Wola.

But there is one condition. Instead of wars, we must cooperate, and for cooperation, there must be a common ground. This is the specific plan I spoke about, but there must also be a deeper ground, more deeply embedded in hearts and minds, and with historical backing. This ground must be nationwide patriotism, but also local patriotism” - he added.

18:19

Morawiecki:

"If you don't like your earnings in Poland, go to Ireland? That's not the way!"
- I don't want to be too harsh right now, we are in such a special place, but I heard that Iwona Mularczyk's competitor said some time ago that if someone doesn't like their earnings in Poland, they should go to Ireland. Well, you can't do that. That's not the way forward. If you don't like the air, leave for France, if you don't like the railway, go to Germany. If you don't like something else, then go to England. This is our land, we want to be here and we will be here. Here we try to be the best stewards of this land. This is what has been confirmed recently in the rating upgrades by those who downgraded us a few years ago. In the best assessments, descriptions of our situation by institutions that don't exactly like us, but this confirms that PiS is a good steward of this land, the best steward for Poland, and we need good stewards for our small homelands. I am convinced that Iwona Mularczyk will be such a steward, that she will breathe new life into Nowy Sącz, so that Nowy Sącz truly enters the top league of super-developed cities. Not the biggest in Poland, but very dynamic – stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki in Nowy Sącz.

18:28

PMM:

These are very important elections ahead of us
These are very important elections ahead of us. Because these are elections in which we answer the question of whose Poland should be. Whether it should be for all citizens, as citizens answered 3 years ago, and we are trying to change the country, society, do as much as possible for people, for families, for society. This is visible. But these elections must also answer the question of whose local government Poland should be. Especially in such beautiful cities as Nowy Sącz. I believe that citizens will answer that they want good, efficient, effective, honest managers who can cooperate very well for the good of this beautiful city, this place, the entire Sądecczyzna region. And thanks to this, also for our beloved homeland - stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki in Nowy Sącz.

19:37

Dworczyk on SLD's withdrawal from coalition with PiS in Konecki poviat: For the umpteenth time in Polish politics, ideological prejudices prevail, and the well-being of residents takes a backseat
- I am disappointed that for the umpteenth time in Polish politics, various ideological prejudices prevail, and the well-being of residents, of the local community, in this case the municipality or poviat, takes a backseat - stated Michał Dworczyk in an interview with Dorota Gawryluk on Polsat News. - The only question is whether this level of discussion is truly necessary at the municipal and poviat level. It is understandable to me that politicians in parliament decide on the Constitution and laws, but when it comes to municipalities and poviats, one needs to talk about specific roads, specific problems that residents are struggling with - added the Head of the Prime Minister's Chancellery.

19:47

Dworczyk:

I am neither for tempting nor for gauging moods. I have been entrusted with the duty to coordinate actions aimed at forming a coalition.

- I am neither for tempting nor for gauging moods. Indeed, I have been entrusted with the duty to coordinate actions aimed at forming a coalition. A coalition for specific voivodeships, specific regions, and I think that is important - stated Michał Dworczyk in an interview with Dorota Gawryluk on Polsat News.

19:52

Dworczyk:

We Can Hold Discussions Wherever Local Government Officials Are Interested in Creating a Good Program for a Given Voivodeship. And Such Discussions Are Underway.
At the moment, we have a situation where PiS has won in six voivodeships where it can create a majority on its own. In total, we won in nine voivodeships, but in reality, we can hold discussions everywhere. Everywhere where local government officials are interested in creating a good program for a given voivodeship. And such discussions are underway – stated Michał Dworczyk in an interview with Dorota Gawryluk on Polsat News.

19:56

Spychalski:

In recent days, it has become clear that many politicians have stated they will not be able to, or do not wish to, participate in the Independence March. Hence the President's decision.

I do not hide the fact that we deeply regret this [the President's absence from the Independence March]. The President has invited people to this march many times. We had hoped that all politicians in Poland, from right to left, would unite and be able to march together on this day. In recent days, it has become clear that many politicians have stated they will not be able to participate in this march, that they do not wish to participate in this march. They do not want to celebrate the centenary of regaining independence together. Hence this decision” – said the President's spokesperson, Minister Błażej Spychalski, in an interview with Dorota Gawryluk on Polsat News.

19:56

Dworczyk:

We Have a Majority in Six Voivodeships. Every Additional Regional Assembly Will Be a Success

- As of today, the situation is clear. We have a majority in six voivodeships. Every additional regional assembly will be a success - stated Michał Dworczyk in a conversation with Dorota Gawryluk on Polsat News.

Spychalski on November 12th: Consultations with the President from the very beginning of the parliamentary initiative, at every stage of legislative work. PAD stressed from the outset that he is in favor.

Consultations with the President have been ongoing since the very beginning of this parliamentary initiative. The President knew that such an initiative would be submitted. At every stage of the legislative work, information was conveyed to the President. The President expressed his concerns, or rather, he stated that it should look a bit different, but from the very beginning, the President emphasized that he is in favor of this solution, that it would be worthwhile for the day after this special time of shared experience and celebration of November 11th to be a day off” – said presidential minister Błażej Spychalski on Polsat News.

For now, there is chaos and disorder. -- THIS IS A RADICAL CHANGE OF MIND BY PAD - KKZ: As late as the weekend, in an interview for "Rzeczpospolita," President Andrzej Duda encouraged participation in the Independence March organized by nationalists. The same march where racist slogans appeared in previous years, such as: "Europe will be white, or devoid of people." -- Presidential officials spoke with the organizers of the Independence March to ensure that the nationalists would not display racist slogans this year. Minister Andrzej Dera from the President's Chancellery spoke about this on Sunday. Presidential Spokesperson Błażej Spychalski, as late as Monday morning, explained the idea of joint celebration as "everyone from all environments going together." However, three hours later, the President himself stated that he would only participate in state ceremonies - KKZ. -- KKZ ON PAD'S MOTIVES: In the Chancellery, one hears that the President withdrew because he has too many obligations on November 11th. That's one version. The second is an attempt to shift responsibility onto the opposition, which refused to march together with the nationalists. -- I WILL DEFINITELY NOT MARCH UNDER THE ONR BANNER - Katarzyna Lubnauer. -- GOVERNMENT REPRESENTATIVES LOOKED LOST: Government representatives looked lost on Monday. The President announced he would participate in state ceremonies, but considering the scale of the celebrations, they promise to be extremely modest. -- GRZEGORZ SCHETYNA: All of this resembles complete amateurism. -- The President himself is not organizing any march, and the idea of joint celebration is meeting resistance. Lech Wałęsa has already announced he is not coming to Warsaw. The other former presidents also have doubts about appearing on the honorary stand at Piłsudski Square. They will likely refuse. -- PBK: First they insult, then they invite. -- IT WOULD BE IDEAL TO HAVE A GUEST LIKE THE US PRESIDENT - KKZ: On the 100th anniversary of independence, it would be ideal to have a guest like the US president at the 25th anniversary of regaining sovereignty. It would be ideal to hear words like those spoken by Barack Obama in June 2014, that "freedom began here." It would be ideal for so many European and world leaders to come to Warsaw, as they did in 2014. It is unknown which important foreign guests will come. On November 11th, ceremonies marking the anniversary of the end of World War I and the Trump-Putin summit will be held in Paris. -- THE ENTIRE CHAOS IS BEYOND COMPREHENSION - preview: November 12th. A holiday or not? No one knows now. Not even in the Sejm. Although the President already knows he will sign the act. PiS wants to celebrate the 100th anniversary of independence with two days off, and this is happening with just two weeks left. The act did not pass in the Senate, and the entire chaos is beyond comprehension. -- AN HOUR AFTER THE SPOKESPERSON'S STATEMENT THAT PAD IS CONSIDERING, A COMMUNICATION APPEARS THAT HE WILL SIGN - Maciej Knapik. -- I HAVE NO REMORSE, ONE CAN ALWAYS BE FASTER, SLOWER - Karczewski. -- CHAOS - Schetyna. -- I DID NOT PARTICIPATE IN THE VOTE AND WILL REMAIN CONSISTENT - Gowin. -- THE QUESTION IS WHAT ABOUT THE CHILDREN WHEN MOTHERS ARE SUPPOSED TO GO TO WORK - Knapik. -- THE WINNERS ARE TO HELP OTHERS WIN: The final stretch before the second round of elections for mayors and city presidents. Those who won in the first round are now to help others win, so Trzaskowski, Zdanowska, and Żuk have full calendars. PiS is also fighting to the end; Radom, Kraków, and Gdańsk are among the cities up for grabs. -- TRZASKOWSKI, ZDANOWSKA, AND ŻUK ARE AT OUT AS ASSETS ON THE FINAL STRAIGHT - Arleta Zalewska: Candidates from PiS cannot count on joint photos, visits, and official endorsements from first-round winners. Unlike candidates from other committees. Zdanowska, Trzaskowski, and Żuk are assets that the Civic Coalition is leveraging in this final stretch before the second round of elections. -- RAFAŁ TRZASKOWSKI: I will be traveling all over Poland, and I am starting with Radom because Warsaw and Radom must cooperate closely. -- SKURKIEWICZ RECEIVED SUPPORT FROM THE THIRD-PLACE CANDIDATE IN RADOM - Zalewska: This tour of politicians around Poland, whom the opposition can claim to have defeated PiS for the first time in years, is meant to mobilize. Especially in Radom, where the incumbent mayor, despite a lead in the first round, cannot be sure of victory. It was not him, but Wojciech Skurkiewicz from PiS, who received support from Rafał Czajkowski, the candidate with the third-highest result in Radom. -- FOR PiS, THE FIGHT FOR RADOM IS MORE THAN JUST FIGHTING FOR THE MAYOR'S OFFICE; IT IS ONE OF THE FEW CHANCES FOR POWER IN A LARGE CITY - Zalewska: For PiS, the game for Radom is more than just a fight for the mayor's seat. It is one of the few real chances for power in a large city. That is why this fourteenth-largest city in Poland was chosen as the venue for the entire United Right's last Sunday convention. - Radom needs cooperation with the government authorities - stated Jarosław Kaczyński there. - 93 million zlotys for the construction of Wojska Polskiego Avenue, a street of particular importance - promised Wojciech Skurkiewicz. -- PiS HAS A MAJORITY IN THE COUNCIL - Zalewska: Regardless of who achieves a better result in Radom on November 4th, they will have to cooperate with the city council, where councilors from PiS hold a majority. -- RADOSŁAW WITKOWSKI: If we want to develop our city, to change our city, we must cooperate, regardless of whether someone is from the Civic Coalition, from PSL, or from PiS. -- Report on the fight in Gdańsk. -- JAROSŁAW KACZYŃSKI IN RADOM: Many residents of large cities have been lied to, manipulated, and at the center of this manipulation is one statement. Namely, that Law and Justice is preparing for Polexit. This is, I repeat again, because I have said it several times, and of course, the Prime Minister has also spoken about it, a lie, a lie, and another lie. -- RADOSŁAW SIKORSKI: Jarosław Kaczyński is a habitual liar. The fact that he denies Polexit does not reassure me at all. He said he would not be Prime Minister if his brother became President, and that Antoni Macierewicz would not be Minister of Defense. -- Shortly after Jarosław Kaczyński assured that PiS still sees Poland in the Union, Mateusz Morawiecki spoke and explained how he sees the Union. -- ARCHIVAL WORDS FROM PMM: He lost the program of aversion, clamor, constant quarrels, trips to Brussels, to other capitals, for help. -- THE OPPOSITION ALARMS THAT BREXIT LOOKED THE SAME - Jakub Sobieniowski: The opposition alarms that the withdrawal of Great Britain from the European Union began in exactly the same way - only that it can afford it because it is still a superpower in every respect. -- THERE ARE REAL QUESTIONS FROM ZIOBRO - Sobieniowski: On the one hand, the PiS leader assures that fears of Polexit are a lie, and on the other hand, the government has a real and sharp conflict with the European Commission. There is a real question from Zbigniew Ziobro to the Constitutional Tribunal about whether the provision of the EU treaty on preliminary rulings is consistent with the constitution. There are also real statements from President Duda about an "imagined community from which little results for us" or criticism of the EU because "you cannot buy a simple light bulb." -- JOANNA KLUZIK-ROSTKOWSKA: I remember that it was always the case that Lech Kaczyński was a much greater enthusiast and Euro-realist. Jarosław Kaczyński always looked at the EU with greater distance. I also remember that within PiS there was a large group of Eurosceptics, not to mention those who considered the European Union to be the devil incarnate. -- SZYDŁO STARTED BY REMOVING THE EU FLAGS - Sobieniowski: Beata Szydło began her term by removing EU flags from the conference room of the Prime Minister's Chancellery. PiS MP Krystyna Pawłowicz considers the EU flag to be a "rag." Pawłowicz is a member of the National Council of the Judiciary (KRS) and an MP who is the driving force behind changes in the judiciary - considered by the EU to be a threat to democracy. ***** TVP INFO NEWS -- MANY INDICATE THAT FORMER PRIME MINISTER DONALD TUSK WILL HAVE TO APPEAR BEFORE THE SEJM INVESTIGATIVE COMMITTEE REGARDING VAT - preview: Today, MPs questioned the former Prosecutor General. Andrzej Seremet claimed that during his tenure, his institution was underfunded. Sometimes there was simply a lack of money. -- THE GOVERNMENT OF THE UNITED RIGHT SUCCEEDED IN CLOSING THE VAT GAP - Jakub Wojtanowski: Only now is it clear how helpless the PO-PSL coalition was against tax fraudsters. -- ON THE FINAL STRETCH BEFORE THE SECOND ROUND OF ELECTIONS, CANDIDATES ARE PERSUADING VOTERS OF THEIR PROPOSALS - preview: Unfortunately, it is not without acts of political aggression. -- PiS WANTS TO BUILD STRONG HOMELANDS AND RESPOND TO THE NEEDS OF LOCAL COMMUNITIES. THESE ARE NOT JUST EMPTY WORDS - Maciej Sawicki. -- IN KONECHI POVIAT, LOCAL PiS OFFICIALS HAVE FORMED A COALITION WITH SLD ACTIVISTS - Sawicki. -- IDEOLOGY PREVAILED HERE. THE CHAIRMAN OF THE SLD DOES NOT AGREE TO THE JOINT WORK OF LOCAL OFFICIALS ABOVE POLITICAL DIVISIONS - Sawicki. -- PiS CANDIDATES HAVE A RICH PRO-SOCIAL OFFER - Sawicki. -- NEGATIVE EMOTIONS IN THE CAMPAIGN ARE CONSTANTLY STOKED BY CIVIC COALITION POLITICIANS - Sawicki. -- THE OPPOSITION REPEATS THE LIE ABOUT THE ALLEGED POLEXIT BEFORE THE SECOND ROUND OF ELECTIONS. THIS IS MANIPULATION OF THOUSANDS OF VOTERS - Sawicki. -- THREE YEARS AGO, PO FEARED THAT PiS WOULD DESTROY THE ECONOMY AND INDUSTRY. THIS DOOMSDAY VISION DID NOT MATERIALIZE - Sawicki. -- TALKS BETWEEN MINISTER BŁASZCZAK AND THE USA REGARDING THE INCREASE IN THE NUMBER OF AMERICAN SOLDIERS IN POLAND - no material.

Majchrowski:

My Sixteen-Year Tenure Shows One Thing: I've Never Established, Nor Do I Intend To Establish, Any Sanitary Cordon Against Anyone

My sixteen-year tenure shows one thing. That I have never established, nor do I intend to establish, any sanitary cordon against anyone. I believe that all councilors who are elected by the residents are councilors of the City of Krakow, regardless of what option they represent. One should cooperate with them. I don't see this kind of treatment based on 'no, you are ugly, I won't work with you.' I don't want to get involved in the national war. Krakow and local government in general should be far from this type of situation – stated Jacek Majchrowski in an interview with Marcin Makowski on WP.pl.

Struzik on PiS-PSL Coalition in Voivodeship Assemblies: 'Extremely Difficult, But Everything is Possible if the Region's Welfare is the Priority'

- That is the assumption [that there will be no coalition with PiS], however, there are situations in some local governments where no other arrangement is possible. I will remind you that in some counties there are only two or three political groups, and one must seek the most sensible solutions. Local government is not parliament. It is extremely difficult [a PiS-PSL coalition in voivodeship assemblies]. Everything is possible if the main challenge is the welfare of the region and the continuation of development policy - stated Adam Struzik in an interview with Marcin Zaborski on RMF FM.

- However, in a political sense, it is, of course, extremely difficult, because we have a situation where we have been mercilessly attacked, not only in this election campaign but for the last three years. PiS has targeted the PSL - he explained.
