At 10:00 AM, the Civic Coalition will hold its nationwide convention at the Krakow Opera. The convention will be attended by, among others, Civic Platform leader Grzegorz Schetyna, Nowoczesna leader Katarzyna Lubnauer, and Inicjatywa Polska leader Barbara Nowacka.

At 11:00 AM in Bydgoszcz, a Law and Justice (PiS) election meeting will take place with Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki in attendance. Also today at 4:30 PM, the head of the Polish government will participate in a ceremonial meeting of rectors of Polish schools and the academic community.

At 11:30 AM, Patryk Jaki will hold a press conference. At 2:30 PM, Rafał Trzaskowski will participate in celebrations for the International Day of Older Persons, combined with a Creativity Fair. No press briefing is planned.

- There is no mystery here. Imagine the following situation: you gentlemen are to represent Poland at a UN session on peacekeeping missions. You receive an agenda card which states that first the representative of Nepal, then Portugal, and then Poland will speak. You wait, and then a member of the staff approaches and says that it will soon be your turn to speak. So, you change your seats. That's what I did. The representative of Nepal was sitting next to me, I introduced myself, I greeted him. Then Chairman Donald Tusk entered. I greeted him. There was no chair for him, he stood for a moment, and then sat down a bit further away. After that, the representative of Nepal went to deliver his speech, and the staff member asked Chairman Tusk to take the now-vacant seat. That is, next to me - stated President Andrzej Duda in an interview with "Sieci".

- This was not a demonstration on the part of Chairman Tusk, nor on my part. We have different views, we differ very seriously, but we are from the same country, on the international stage. Were we supposed to pretend not to know each other? We exchanged a few sentences, the conversation was polite, entirely private. And let it remain so - added PAD. - Nothing [about the presidential elections]. But I repeat – for me, private conversations remain private, I do not discuss their content publicly - he stated.

- I repeat for the umpteenth time: we will maintain and expand this program [500+]. But was PiS really so generous when giving 500+? Few people know that thanks to the economic growth that we managed to initiate during our previous governments, and VAT controls that resulted from our laws, an additional 110 billion PLN appeared in public revenues in 2016-2017. This was earned by Poles. The cost of 500+ is just under 24 billion. If we subtract these 24 from 110, we are left with over 85 billion. I repeat: 85 billion. Where is this money? What did they do with it? This is not PiS's money. This is the money of all Poles, and it's a gigantic sum - stated Grzegorz Schetyna at the Civic Coalition (KO) convention in Krakow.

- Therefore, I ask today, why was there not enough for single mothers, for the first child? Let's ask them loudly: what did this money go towards? - asked the head of PO. As he emphasized, over 3 years they managed to become a party of millionaires, but they did not find the time and money to take care of teachers, nurses, police officers, the entire public sector.

- Restoring the previous pension levels for uniformed service officers, which were reduced based on the discriminatory 2016 act that, on the principle of collective responsibility, deprived thousands of officers of their dignity and livelihood - stated Grzegorz Schetyna at the Civic Coalition (KO) convention in Krakow. - It cannot be that a free Polish state entrusted someone with the confidence and honor of wearing the uniform, and after years, changed its mind and stripped them of that honor - he added.

- We will travel across Poland and will not seek easy places, but difficult ones. We are not interested in colorful pictures, but in solving real, tangible problems. We will work hard to earn the trust and cooperation of individuals and entire communities. We care about every Polish woman and man. We want to remind everyone that power is service and duty - he said.

Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki will be Bogdan Rymanowski's guest tomorrow at 7:15 PM in the program "Wydarzenia i opinie" (Events and Opinions) on Polsat News – 300POLITYKA has learned. The journalist will host the first edition of "Wydarzenia" (Events) in a week. As we hear, he will work in rotation with Dorota Gawryluk. In one week, Gawryluk will host "Wydarzenia," Rymanowski "Wydarzenia i opinie," and in the following week, they will swap roles.

- Poland naturally wants to be in the EU. Poland wants to have the best possible relations with its neighbors. This is normal, as it is the best, optimal situation for any country. - In fact, we have to show this constantly because here lies all the fury of our opponents, PO-PSL, and their perversity at the same time. When they were in power, 3-4 years ago, and actually even when they were no longer in power, the minister who once tried to run for the European Parliament from this city, the Minister of Finance, spoke of the fact that there are no funds and there won't be any, there won't be any for any social purposes until the end of our term – stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki at a convention in Bydgoszcz.

- This is precisely the difference between us and them. Therefore, just as fate dictated that list number 10 was chosen for us, which is a bullseye, so Tomasz Latos is a bullseye for Bydgoszcz – stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki at a convention in Bydgoszcz.

- Churchill was also a bridge master, and it is his memorable sentence about pilots that I would like to paraphrase a little differently, in the context of what I have been talking about so far, namely that never have so few taken so much from so many. This is a very sad observation, a reflection on the governments of our predecessors, because precisely by indulging VAT mafias, by nonchalance, by disregard, and sometimes by allowing, and in some cases perhaps even cooperating in the most pathological cases, which are also now under investigation, something happened that we have proven within a single year. 30-40-50 billion disappeared from there. Let's take an average, 40 billion PLN per year. These are funds that appeared in the budget in 2017. - Now let's imagine this situation. We took it away from someone. Some interest groups must be furious because of this. That's why we are so brutally attacked by these interest groups, which are connected to and supported by our predecessors, PO and PSL - he added.

- I believe that together with you, with all of you in all local governments, we will build the Republic of our dreams, a strong one we can be proud of and pass on to our grandchildren as an inheritance. Just as our ancestors dreamed of it, because today's Poland, all citizens, deserve it. That is why we will win, I am convinced of it - stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki at a convention in Bydgoszcz.

- In the city hall managed by Civic Platform, we regularly hear that there are no funds for building new parking spaces. In fact, there's a general shortage of parking. Well, there may be no funds for parking, but there are funds for bollards. What's happening with Warsaw's bollard policy is a huge scandal. If anyone can rationally explain to me why these bollards are here, and cars are on the street... There are many such places in Warsaw. That's why I wanted to make a commitment: if I become the mayor of Warsaw, I will implement a real parking policy and 'un-pole' Warsaw. Warsaw needs intelligent policy that isn't focused on an irrational fight against drivers – stated Patryk Jaki at a conference. He added that parking lots should be built, and the metro should be built faster – only then can demands be placed on drivers, but solely when public transportation is at an appropriate level.

- Civic Platform would be very happy if I withdrew from public life, but it won't be that easy for them. The Civic Coalition fears what we are exposing, including in Warsaw. We are revealing the scale of gigantic corruption, how PO governments allowed the reprivatization mafia to participate in Warsaw's assets, and that truly bothers Platforma. They would be very pleased if I were not to run in these elections. But I won't give them such a gift - stated Patryk Jaki at a press conference, when asked about Katarzyna Lubnauer's words.

- This matter is not just local in scope. It concerns circles with which we will cooperate, ZNP. It is an issue of pensioners and disability pensioners, also our commitments to nurses, healthcare challenges in general, including the uniformed services. We have signed this Civic Employee Pact. We are establishing a team, Chairman Neumann will coordinate the work of this team. A meeting in the Sejm next week. We will, of course, invite representatives of the parliamentary opposition, as well as external experts - stated Grzegorz Schetyna at a conference in Krakow. - A working meeting is scheduled for October. We will then present a work plan - he added.

We must today, dear students, I also see you here in the hall, you must practically beg professors not to teach according to these programs, sometimes yellowed pages from past years, because today everything is changing very rapidly and we must recognize the challenges of the future well, so that we can reach for them, co-shape, build, strengthen Polish culture, science, economy as a whole, and thereby enrich the entire Polish state - stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki during a ceremonial meeting of rectors of Polish universities and the academic community.

As 300POLITYKA has learned, tomorrow at 7:00 AM, Patryk Jaki, along with Piotr Guział, will inaugurate the new #NewMetro campaign. The candidate for President of Warsaw, accompanied by the candidate for Vice President, is scheduled to appear at locations where new metro stations will be built every day for the entire week. This will bring the issue of the capital's metro back to the forefront. Jaki also has a press conference planned on this matter, which will be attended by Jerzy Kwieciński.

The upcoming week in politics marks the first Sejm session of October. MPs will address, among other things, the draft budget bill for 2019, the election of the Children's Ombudsman, the dismissal of Anna Zalewska from her post as head of the Ministry of National Education (MEN), the Local Government Road Fund, and a bill concerning the abolition of mandatory vaccinations.

The first week of October also signifies another week of the local government election campaign. On Wednesday, a debate of candidates for the Mayor of Warsaw, organized by Legia and 300POLITYKA, will take place. Additionally, a verification committee meeting will be held on Monday. Following this, the committee will announce its decisions regarding properties at Skorupki 6 and Otwocka 10.

The issue of changes in the judiciary and the Supreme Court will likely resurface in the coming week. The Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU) may issue a so-called interim measure – though it is unclear when exactly, or if it will happen at all. Furthermore, MEPs from the Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs (LIBE) will discuss matters concerning Poland.

Continuation of the Local Government Election Campaign. As we reported on 300POLITYCE, tomorrow at 7:00 AM, Patryk Jaki, along with Piotr Guział, will inaugurate the new #NoweMetro initiative. The candidate for Mayor of Warsaw and the candidate for Deputy Mayor will appear daily throughout the week at locations where new metro stations will be built. Also on Monday at 9:45 AM, Civic Platform (KO) candidate for Mayor of Warsaw, Rafał Trzaskowski, will hold a press conference. At 12:00 PM, Jaki will open a large inclusive playground in the capital. A major event, a mini-convention combined with a concert in Praga Południe, is planned for Thursday at 6:00 PM. This week, the Law and Justice (PiS) candidate will also meet with the President of the Warsaw Stock Exchange (GPW) and speak at a conference on the metro with Jerzy Kwieciński.

Sejm on Zalewska's Dismissal. On Monday at 5:00 PM, the Sejm committee on education, science, and youth will consider and give an opinion on the opposition's motion of no confidence in the head of MEN, Anna Zalewska. The motion may be considered during the session beginning on Tuesday, but it is not currently listed on the agenda.

Prime Minister Morawiecki on Polsat. As we reported on 300POLITYCE, Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki will be a guest of Bogdan Rymanowski on the program "Wydarzenia i opinie" (Events and Opinions) on Polsat News on Monday at 7:15 PM. This will be the journalist's debut on the television channel.

Committee on GetBack. The presentation of information by the Minister of Finance, Teresa Czerwińska, on the actions taken by state authorities to clarify the so-called GetBack affair is an item on the agenda of Tuesday's public finance committee session, which will begin at 3:00 PM. The plan also includes information on securing GetBack's assets and establishing a list of bondholders who suffered losses due to GetBack's activities.

Sejm on the Local Government Road Fund. On Tuesday at 12:00 PM – according to the preliminary schedule – the first reading of the government's draft bill on the Local Government Road Fund (FDS) will take place. The FDS will be established as a state earmarked fund. Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki announced its creation to finance the construction of more municipal and county roads. On the same day at 3:30 PM, the Sejm will also consider the draft bill on the Solidarity Support Fund for Persons with Disabilities.

Election of the Children's Ombudsman (RPD). On Tuesday at 5:00 PM, two Sejm committees will give an opinion on the motion to appoint a Children's Ombudsman. The sole candidate, nominated by PiS, is Agnieszka Dudzińska. The election itself – according to the preliminary schedule – will take place on Thursday, during the morning voting block, between 9:00 AM and 11:00 AM.

Legia and 300POLITYKA Debate. On Wednesday at 11:00 AM, a debate of candidates for Mayor of Warsaw will be held at the Legia stadium in Warsaw, co-organized by 300POLITYKA. "Legia is an apolitical organization, but we believe that sport is a common good, and therefore, we want to discuss its development in amateur and professional dimensions, as well as the necessary legal, systemic, educational, and infrastructural solutions, beyond political divisions," the club wrote in an open letter announcing the joint debate initiative. It is possible that another debate of candidates in Warsaw will take place later this week.

Subcommittee on EU Projects. On Wednesday at 11:00 AM, a representative of the Minister of Investment and Development will present information to the Sejm subcommittee for monitoring the use of EU funds. The information will cover threatened projects implemented with EU funding and their scale, as well as forecasts for the expenditure of EU funds, including quarterly reports submitted to the European Commission by the Polish government and the July forecast.

Sejm on Vaccinations. On Wednesday at 10:15 PM, the first reading of a citizen's bill to abolish mandatory vaccinations will take place. According to the justification, the obligation to vaccinate will only remain in cases where the obligation is imposed by a decision or in the event of an epidemic threat or epidemic state being declared. The Sejm will likely vote on rejecting the bill the following day.

Sejm on the Budget. On Thursday at 11:00 AM – after the morning voting block – the first reading of the draft budget bill for 2019 will take place. The general debate on this matter will occupy the main part of the day and is planned to conclude at 8:00 PM. Afterwards, the bill will proceed to further committee work.

Committee on Zwiercan and Neumann's Immunities. On Thursday at 12:00 PM, the Sejm committee on regulations, MP affairs, and immunities will give an opinion to the Marshal of the Sejm on the correctness of MP Małgorzata Zwiercan's declaration regarding consent to criminal prosecution. The committee will also provide an opinion on a similar declaration from Sławomir Neumann.

President Duda in Oświęcim. On Thursday at 5:00 PM, President Andrzej Duda will visit Oświęcim, where he will meet with residents. Earlier, at 11:00 AM in the Presidential Palace, PAD will participate in a ceremony to present identification documents to family members of victims of communist totalitarianism. On Tuesday, a state funeral ceremony for the Commander of the Coastal Defense in 1939, the late Admiral of the Fleet Józef Unrug, and his wife, the late Zofia Unrug, will be held in Gdynia.
